Zeldris would absolutely be angry about this whole thing because that’s his idol and big brother how dare they spread such baseless accusations and rumors against him. It definitely got to the point where no one would say anything around him about it anymore because he got that angry.

But than when the commandments even started talking about it that’s when fear definitely started to set in for zeldris like you said because how could even them believe such a dumb thing it mustn’t be true (right?)

But then like you said Meliodas leaves and zeldris realizes it was all true and that the person he idolized for so long and his big brother who he loved and thought would never betray him much less leave really did… and he left… him all alone..

I would also think that after that the demons got hella suspicious of zeldris too because well if even Meliodas would betray them whos to say zeldris wouldn’t do the same thing? What’s stopping him from dating and running off with a goddess (gelda but they don’t know that) they definitely watched his every move. Even with the demon king using the commandment to watch him (that’s still creepy as fuck idc fuck that man) they still whispered about him and Mel too wondering if their second prince would betray them too and zeldris would hate it but it would also fuel his hatred for Meliodas even more because if it wasn’t for him none of this would be happening..
