OK... OK I think I'm ready to talk about this chapter. "he reached his arms above his head as he stretched, his hand casually reaching over to wrap around your side. another groan escaped his lips." I take it back I'm not ready he's too much on bro can u even imagine? The JAHDJARKANS I HAVE A LAB IN AN HOUR IMMA BE SO DISTRACTED OH NOOOOOOO. the wash of familiarity just keeps getting stronger!? With every chapter and there's a line near the end that's something... lemme find it.

+ "you swore he was looking at you like you were the 17 year old girl he fell in love with, like you’d never even left off with one another, like you’d never even broken up" YES OK THIS. it's just back to them. And it feels exactly like they never left but it feels so unforced and natural cuz your pacing is incredible Oof.

+ “not how you were acting this morning, in bed - ” when I say I screamed 😳😳 I'm getting FLUSTETED again but the banter is, as always, on point. It'sm.. Ugh like I said before, they know each other inside and out so he knowwwwws exactly what buttons to push. He can read her, she knows why he's pulling her away for a break... hhgnnnn I'm so scared to find out why they broke up cuz it could be so volatile but it could also be heartbreakingly natural

+ "and despite it all, you looked up anyways, only to see him matching your gaze." OK this is my favourite moment of this chapter. Cuz she /Knows/. She says it herself! It would be like romcom!! And yet!!!! She does it anyway!!!!!!!! THATS PINING BABEYYYYYY abdjansh but its so subtle and gracefully done and the buildup is painfully slow, the imperceptible tilts, half imagined shifts closer...

+ Hgnnajdnandkwbfkadh you do tension like no one else remy darling and u have blown me away once again. I'm Unprepared for the next chapter because Feelings are going to be Had and they're gonna be Had by Me

HHH OKAY THE STRETCHING GOT ME TOO LIKE . i wanted to be yn so bad please i cannaught even imagine that happening to me irl i think i’d combust also I’M SO GLAD THE PACING WAS GOOD half of the time when i first put it together it’s all choppy and then i have to go back and smooth it over so this is a huge huge relief 

and i’m really trying to make this like to where they know each other inside out and so it’s like i’m trying to describe it all really subtly so it weaves in well without (again) it being choppy 

HHH WRITING THAT LAST SCENE HAD ME SHAKING like i literally rmr telling jac i hate writing kiss scenes bc all i can usually say is their lips touchy touchy and i sat there looking at it for like. thirty minutes. before i was like okay i need to just post this so out of all scenes to pick i am SO HAPPY you liked that one because i just had so so much trouble with it for no reason
