#Xiaomi Poco F2 Launch

Do you know about POCO F2 (Yes, it was a thing) ?

This was my first ever thread in POCO Community India in 2021, when I had joined as one of the beta testers, so data you would be reading are of 2 years old, now as the old website for POCO Community India is dead, I wanted to preserve my work on my Tumblr blog like this. Hope that you guys would still find it interesting :)

POCO F2 was really desinged by Xiaomi (as POCO was still Xiaomi's Sub-Brand in 2019)

Recently, everyone on Internet was shocked to see the prototype images of POCO F2 on Internet.So, what the phone had ?

Specs (as per the materials I have with me):-

Redmi K20S was designed to be made available as POCO F2 for Global market, it was under Project Davinci.

It had Snapdragon 855, front shooter was desined at the left corner & had Triple camera at backside (Resolutions of these cameras & all the details relevant to this are unknown), it had FHD+ Amoled Display & fingerprint sensor at the back. The prototype had Black and Green Colour & Glass Back.

It was running on Engineering Rom (AOSP), probably the MIUI build was never built.

Overall, It was a good update over POCO F1 in tems of 2019 standards.

I don't have any information why the project was cancelled from my level

POCO had brought POCO F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro Global version) for Global market, they had the plans of bringing back or creating new "F2" atlest for the Indian markets, but due to Pandemic situation in 2020

F2 never appeared for Indian market/Globally.

In 2021, POCO Launched POCO F3 (Redmi K40 aka. Mi 11X for India) Globally & POCO F3 GT (Redmi K40 Gaming Edition) exclusively for India & brought back the "F" series for Indian market.

In an episode of POCO AMA, Mr. Anuj Sharma (EX Country Director - POCO India) had said that he wants to use Snapdragon 888 in POCO F3 Pro, so we can expect more from POCO in future.

Poco X3 Launch date : The price of Poco X3 in India is expected to start at Rs 16,999. It is planned that the smartphone will be launched on 08 September 2020. As for the specs, the Poco X3 is rumored to have a 4700 mAh battery, 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM and a 765 g Snapdragon processor. 

According to our legal source, the Chinese company has launched a new update to the Xiaomi Poco X series smartphone. The name of which is Xiaomi Poco X3.

Poco X3 Display and Processor

As for the specification, the tipster leaks that the Poco X3 has a 6.67-inch 120Hz display with 240Hz touch latency. The device will be launched at the end of this month and would have a 120Hz OLED display. The phone has been reported to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732 SoC.

As mentioned, the Poco X3 is tilted to a 64-megapixel quad camera setup. Up front, the handset is expected to have a 20-megapixel front sensor.

The phone is equipped with a 64 MP main camera with a circular rear camera design similar to that of the Poco X2 and Poco F2 Pro. The device also made a trip for certification with the “M2007J20CG” and “M2007J20CT” model numbers.

The listing shows that the phone will offer 5160 mAh of battery and 33 W of high-speed charging. Poco X3 was also spotted inside the official TUV Rheinland database by the tech guy (posted via Twitter). The unit will be backed with support for 33W fast charging technology, according to the listing.

There is a centered punch-hole cutout on the front, accommodating a selfie camera and a small bezel.

There’s no other official information available, but as suggested in our coverage below, the Poco X3 is expected to land in just a few day.

Poco f2 launching on 12 may 2020 .Many rumers were spreaded about the xiaomi poco f2 , a lot of evidence has mounted to confirm that Poco F2 Pro will be a rebranded version of xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro. But the Redmi K30 Pro is restricted to China market, Poco F2 looks to be a global device.
