I enjoy that Lexington comes too questioning what's happening. Why are they alive, what do they want. He starts off the questioning though I didn't grab the cap. Brooklyn makes the tactical observation. What are they waiting for and how can I make sure I don't give them the advantage they're looking for? Broadway is busy helping Lexington out of the rubble, pretty much carrying him, and I'm a little emotional about it. HE'S JUST SO SWEET Y'ALL! Using his big brawn best when he's taking care of those he cares about.

But Goliath isn't sitting in the mind of the battle at the moment, but the war in question. He has more information than the rest, but it tracks with everything Xanatos has done. He's not looking to mindlessly kill. He continues to want to see how he can use these mystical creatures to his advantage.

And yeah, it's kinda canon in my brain now that he is obsessed with Goliath. Take that how you will. I certainly do! Xanatos this is not a healthy mode of courtship!

Anakin is an omega pretending to be an alpha (literally the only people alive that know he's omega are his mother and the midwife). Senator Obi-Wan is an alpha pretending to be a beta (for weird reasons relating to his parents being kind of insane). They get married for politics, suggested by Palpatine because he found out about Obi-Wan being an alpha but not about Anakin, and decided a forced alpha/alpha marriage was going to self-destruct and help destabilize the Republic further.

Both by @obimanletkenobi: Anakin is the omegaverse equivalent of intersex and this explores the ways he's fetishized and discriminated against by the culture around him.

Peachy the Series by @the-writing-mill: IDK what to say, if you want 15k of O!Obi-Wan getting absolutely railed by two alphas, this is the fic for you

⭐ Packed Together Like Test Tubes also by @the-writing-mill: Jangobi, forced on both sides. Neither of them wants to mate, but the Kaminoans are forcing the issue with synthetic pheromones. It takes several weeks to get to that point and they are both fighting it with every ounce of willpower they have.

⭐ [Only] Think of Me by @inferior-fairy: Empress Amidala and Emperor Kenobi need Anakin to not go off the rails again, but they need a reason for him to want to stay because they love him too much to force the issue (and make him hate them) with chains or the like. So they give him Babies.

⭐ unfortunately it seems I have written more by @gaily-daily: Look at me. LOOK at me. This is fucked up and ugly and horrible and awful and messy and triggering and so incredibly well written as a dawning horror situation. Dead Dove at its finest. It is incredibly good as a story, but it is also really bad, and you need to go in accepting that. Without details, it's messy/triggering in the GoT sense.

⭐ terribly inconvenient and incredibly terrific by @tennessoui: A classic "Anakin wants to do something he is in no way qualified for and then suffers the consequences for his idiocy" plot, very fun.

Bond:  Once more, the annual 'Chose Your Master' time has arrived and like evry year Qui-Gon is reluctant to be in the temple... Maybe this year somebody will overlook his handicap?

Comfort:  Tahl is dead and Qui-Gon is so affected by it that he completely forgot about his Padawan's feeling. Said Padawan blames himself for everything.

Death:  A meeting destined to happen, a bond forged by the Force itself and a partnership that seeks its equal. This AU deals with the meeting of a young Initiate and a Master that is going to end both their lives drastically. Also, Qui-Gon survives Naboo, but at what costs?

Family:

Part:  It was not easy being the father of three boys, Qui-Gon decided while he tried to bring his youngest child to calm down enough so that he would sit down and eat. Anakin was barely in kindergarten. He was exhausting and needed constant attention. Qui-Gon didn't remember Xanatos or Obi-Wan ever being like this, but then again, Tahl had still been with them back then.

Illness:  Qui-Gon was tossing restlessly on his makeshift bed again, the blankets pushed down to his hips. He had also startled to mumble incoherent words and phrases again. “Padawan...” the man croaked and it was obvious that his voice had been used quite a lot. “I’m here Master,” he wasn’t the man’s Padawan anymore, not since the Jedi Master had humiliated him in front of the whole Council, but he couldn’t help himself.

Jeopardize:  Obedience was a word Qui-Gon Jinn and the Council would use to describe young Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi. The boy was dedicated to his Master and the Jedi and liked to stick to the rules, as much as possible with a Master just like his. The more surprising it was when the boy had just openly and before the Council refused to follow his Master's order.

Kin:  “Why have you abandoned me then?” the Jedi Master needed to know. “Why did I have to come to Illum to connect to you at least somewhat?” “Why SHOULD I come to you?” the Force countered. The voice seemed to come from all around Qui-Gon.

Lionheart: What he saw, took all breath from his lungs. He found himself almost face to snout with a large and powerful predator that could kill him in an instant. Yet the great cat with the golden mane did not pay him much attention.

Mirror:  Magic mirror meets the Star Wars Universe. Obi-Wan is the heir to a powerful line of Siths and not every Jedi Master approves that he is to be trained as a Jedi, especially not since he carries a strange device with him.

Nightmare:  With a jolt the young brown haired Jedi sat upright in his bed. Sweat trickled down his forehead and his breathing was heavy and shallow. “Shit,” he mumbled and buried his face in his hands, trying desperately to calm down. “Anakin,” a civilised and slightly accented voice called for his attention and with a start Anakin straightened up.

Outlaw:  The Force moves in mysterious ways, especially when it sends one of its own children back into the 18th and 19th century, also called the time of the Cowboy and Indians. Or in other words: Obi-Wan meets the Wild West

Padawan:  Obi-Wan Kenobi felt hurt after the betrayal of his former Padawan Xanatos. But now the Force (and a certain meddling old troll) are urging him to take another.

Quandary:  The black skinned Korun Master and Council member would also never forget how one of his strongest friends had broken down right in front of his very eyes. He would never forget the agonizing cries, the heart wrenching sobs and the desperate pleads of Qui-Gon Jinn, who had held the lifeless form of his Padawan close to his chest and who had begged him not to leave.

Resurrection:  Post Phantom Menace. (The title should give enough hints on what the story is about)

Sanity:  It had been years since Qui-Gon Jinn last saw his former Padawan. When he finally returns from his mission to find the remaining Sith, the tall Jedi Master hopes that they can overcome the rift that has formed between them. Unfortunately, things are not always that easy...

Taken:  Modern Star Wars AU in the Taken Universe. I added Obi-Wan (in this story he will be referred to as Ben) to the hunt through Paris.

Uproot: He suddenly froze. What time was he in anyway? Deciding to find that out first, the disguised Sith Lord started moving towards the more lively streets of Coruscant's underworld, always keeping an eye on the thieves and criminals while doing so.He came at a short halt at some kind of kiosk and with interest he searched the latest news and looked at the date. He couldn't stop himself from grinning. The damn old and rusty device had actually catapulted him back in time, to his Padawan days.

Virus:  During a mission on Obi-Wan's home planet, Qui-Gon Jinn falls very ill. But he is not the only one, whose life is in danger. Obi-Wan has to make a choice that will decide between life and death...

War:  Obi-Wan had once been asked by a young Togruta girl what war actually was. What fighting was and why people would harm others willingly. Back then he had answered that fighting was a way of beings to show strength and to get their opinion across or even to reach their goal. He had said that war was such a fight, where two or more parties would clash together, both sides fighting for what they believed in. Now, he is not so sure about the answers he had given back then...

Xanatos: 

Part:  “Is it true then?” the dark haired man repeated his question from before. “Whatever are you talking about?” The younger male rested his arms on his knees and leaned forward, fixing his former mentor with a curious stare. “Rumour has it, that the great Qui-Gon Jinn has chosen a new Padawan...” he trailed off, eagerly awaiting the Master’s answer.

Part: “Who does he think he is?” Xanatos hissed. “I know,” Feemor replied. “I can’t believe he just… threw him away like this, after all they have been through.” The raven haired boy hummed and gently closed the eyes of the Jedi who was pressed between them. Sometimes Obi-Wan would forget to close them, especially during sleep. “And for a boy who MIGHT be Chosen One,” he added heatedly. “Even if that boy is the Chosen One, it does not give him the right.” The blonde Knight sighed, “No wonder poor Obi is so rattled.” Xanatos hummed, “Do you think he will be alright?” Feemor shrugged, “I don’t know.”

Zenith:  With a start Qui-Gon Jinn sat up in his bed. His lightsaber was already in his hand and he was franticly looking around his darkened bedroom. Upon discovering that there was no immediate danger, the long haired Jedi Master let himself fall back in his soft pillows with a groan. This was the fifth night in a row that he would awaken from a dream or a feeling and upon wakening, there was absolutely nothing.

Who was your favorite Gargoyles character? Mine was Brooklyn. Closely followed by Lexington, and then Broadway. (Yes The Trio was so important to me! They are my sons and I love them 😆)

Ooooh. I loved every single last Gargoyle character to be fair in their own way (save those weak villains in season 3, season 3 was not good), especially the younger trio but I’m a bit boring in that my favourite character tends to be the main protaganist so I’d probably go with Goliath especially as a kid. In a well written show or movie: I care about the main character a lot. (Because well, they are the main focus. If the main character sucks, usually everything else gets tainted in the process). Otherwise I tend not to care about the show/movie honestly. And Gargoyles was superbly well written. But Goliath wasn’t the only good thing about it.

OTOH also probably Elisa Maza. I think she was one of my first ever crushes ever even though I kind of lacked the ability to realise it was a crush at the time. (I also had a crush on the big G as a kid as well, so them ending up as a canon thing gave me giggle fits). Eliza was fantastic. Compassionate, caring and brave. 

But like with Gargoyles cutting out any of the main protaganists feels like it loses something. They’re all kind of important. The trio wouldn’t be the trio without the others with the trio after all. And Hudson is great in that grumpy grandpa way.

Xanatos is everything I aspire to write in a villain. He’s often terrible and vastly entertaining as well. He has like the best lines I mean damn. He either says really cynical things like he’s Deep (tm) or he goes straight for utter ham and is fully aware of the fact. And it works. I mean he says things like:

“Pay a man enough and he’ll walk barefoot into hell”

And then he’ll also mockingly yell “IT’S ALIVE!” when pulling a Frankenstein deal and also sometimes say things like:

“It’s my first real stab at cliché villainy. How am I doing?” And it works. Somehow.

Also got to love Demona even if she’s over the top and her own worst enemy. And Puck. The little piece of garbage. I love how the series wrote fae honestly from what I recall.
