Hmmm! I do a bit of both. Major events come and go, although I often do not know where exactly they will end up. It's like planting a seed somewhere and forgetting where I put it until it begins to sprout. I think I most definitely enjoy the process more if I simply let it unfold. It's not fun planning everything out down to the last detail--I want it to be as much of a surprise for me as it is for the readers, hehe.
