I love love love that both Quentin and Idie feel comfortable enough to talk back and make grimaces at or towards Kwannon, LMAO.

Also LOVE the fact that Quentin hates tardiness, like he has anything reeeeaaaally important to do in his free time aside of bedrotting. Probably hang out with Idie (God, please, let them make out again) and Glob, so on, so forth.

Also love that you can tell by their demeanor that both are the youngest there.

Working on a drawing of Rogue. I probably should have gone with 11" by 14", because the texture of the paper really dominates at 9" by 12". I managed to get her face smooth, but her arm kinda got away from me. Though I think I managed to fix it. I hope to have this drawing posted some time next week! Or maybe this week if things go well. 9" by 12" -- graphite pencil on Bristol paper.

In addition to Armor, it looks like Peach Momoko was allowed to bring Maystorm into the mix! Maystorm was originally part of a concept variant cover series, where artists created new proteges based on iconic Marvel characters, dubbed the "New Champions Variant Covers." This one was from X-Men #27, I believe

Maystorm is a Japanese girl that idolizes Ororo Munroe/Storm. Her powers are weather-related and according to Momoko's Instagram "May Storm in Japan is a spring storm that happens during the end of April to May."

Working on a picture of Rahne Sinclair! I'm not sure what inspired me to draw her all those years ago, but I'm glad I did because she's a lot of fun and I feel like she's a character I draw really well. She fits me, for some reason. Maybe it's because she's so obscure and I don't feel any pressure while drawing her? I don't feel like I can really get her "wrong", so I don't worry about it? This is why I always like to switch characters up every month for my "Girl of the Month" gimmick. If not, I'd be drawing Raven and Sakura no-stop, and I would never develop an appreciation for these other characters!

There's a From the Ashes Sampler thing that was released today and it has some interesting tidbits about all of the upcoming X-titles!

Interviews from upcoming writers (such as Saladin Ahmed on Wolverine), lettered preview pages for Uncanny X-Men and Exceptional X-Men, and preview interior art for titles like Wolverine (above) and X-Force.

Regarding Wolverine, it looks like the first villain is Cyber and it looks like he's discarded the Hornet alias

Regarding NYX, it looks like Prodigy is teaching a Krakoan history class:

(dark-haired student in the lower right could be Laura, but I dunno. Also could be random student. We don't really have context yet).

And also, there is a random bit from Uncanny that I thought was interesting:

Rogue notices something off about Logan. We'll likely find out either this issue or as the series progresses.

I interpreted it as Logan actually engaging in the hug, instead of being his usual stiff 'n stoic self.

My current guess is that Logan is feeling exceptionally nostalgic and/or sad. Could possibly be related to Hellverine, depending on how that mini ends.

Also, regarding Uncanny, I have the weirdest feeling that they're gonna kill off Gambit ASAP.

a) Rogue and him have been too happy lately, even in the wake of Krakoa ending b) Issue #3 preview caption thingy mentions Rogue grieving (so she's gonna lose SOMEONE) c) synergy with the shows/movies is a thing. Gambit is dead in X-Men '97
