The fact that Lorna, Wanda and Pietro are on that boat alongside Rogue is EVERYTHING to me. They are the first thing he remembered!!! They are his heart, they are his anchor to humanity. Always have been in the comics, always will. I am so happy we got this version in the '97 animation as well. This scene is all I needed from the show. I am at peace. That's the best part of his soul on that boat, hope you understand.

X-Men 97 + saying the thing

Thing is, Magneto knows us better than Charles ever did. Knows we know better. That most of us experience tragedies like Genosha as a bit of déjà vu before getting on with our day. But the scariest thing about Genosha wasn’t the death or the chaos. It was a thought. The only sane thought you can have when being chased by giant robots that were built to crush you: Magneto was right.

Nightcrawler not really being an official x-man in the show means that the dynamic in the entire second half of '97 is kinda like when you'd invite your friend over to your house and then your parents start having a big argument in front of them and it's just really awkward

X-Men '97 heard that people think Cyclops is boring and stuck up. Well, he definitely is still rigid and stubborn (anything else would be untrue to his character), but they make sure to showcase creative uses of his powers. He uses it to slide around in a fight! And of course, he drops out of the sky and lands superhero style using his eye beam!
