Finally finished reading The Prisoner’s Throne (after owning the book for months, adulting sucks) and my thoughts are:

This book was infinitely better than The Stolen Heir. 🤲🏻

Oak had a lot more character depth than Wren IMO, I could understand why he did what he did (not completely, but definitely easier to connect with than her). He also had a good arc and development.

The Elfhame and High Court parts gave me life

Wtf happened to the Ghost—

Speaking of, I did NOT think that bish Randalin had it in him—

Jude and Cardan overshadowed literally everyone in every scene of theirs. They still remain unparalleled, I’m afraid! 👑🤌🏻

Now that we’ve established that Oak might abdicate, can we please have Judecardan kids in the future? Thanks and thanks @ Holly.

I am so excited for the Undersea book that’s been hinted at, purely because we know JudeCardan will be there. Lord please let it be in their POV I’m begging—

Currently reading : Just finished "Emma" by Jane Austen, and "The Broken Kingdoms" by NK Jemisin, started "The Stolen Heir" by Holly Black again today because the sequel comes out in 22 days I am gonna die. Also rereading Christine Larsen's "Orcs!" comics in prep for her new arc (first two issues out already but I haven't re-caught up yet).

Currently watching : Season 2 of Bridgerton, rewatch in preparation for season 3.

Currently obsessed with : THE HOBBIT. Still and always. And LotR in general. OFMD and Regency Shit getting an honorary mention at present.

Currently Reading: Crime and Prejudice by Dostoevsky, but I'm also always keeping up with manga/manwha that I follow on Bato lol i love everything josei/shoujo and GL as well - currently reading a completed GL manwha called Mage & Demon Queen and they are sooooo cute and dumb i love them sm

Currently Watching: Mad Men (with meals) and Cold Case (as bg noise when I'm cooking/cleaning)

Currently obsessed with: Always Inuyasha (me too pip!), Mad Men, Soul Eater, LOTR, D.Gray-man .𖥔 ݁ ˖

The Stolen Heir - Holly Black

Wren/Oak just might be the best Holly Black ship. Miss HB has outdone herself. The drama. The yearning. The absolute unhinged insanity. The teeth. I want to wrap them in bubble wrap and tuck them in a plastic container with the Christmas decorations. They’re perfect. They’re so flawed I want to die.

I finally finished, so it wasn’t as good as the folk of air series but it held its own and I’m excited for the next one. Hopefully we see Jude and Carden in the next one.

Patiently waiting for my copy of the Stolen Heir to arrive so I can get into it! If you’ve read it how was it ?
