Larry Flynt & HUSTLER rubbed folks the wrong way. His tools were shameless sex, brutal honesty, vulgar humor, and calling out political & celebrity hypocrisy.

His journey began with strip-clubs here in Dayton. "The Hustler" was a newsletter for his clubs–a fact usually ignored in local PR.

Of the big 3 men's mags (Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler) his is the only one still in print.

Part of our toy collection. This pair is not identical, but close. It's a 3-D pair!

Throw Back Thursday photo of our shop at 502 E. 5th St., Bonnett's Books Back Issue Magazines, in the 1940s. 504, to the left, is now home to Iron Dog Salvage & Never Trend Custom/Vintage Furniture/Decor. 500, on the right, is now Cicero Law.

I was planning to stay away from comics for a bit, but... this Strange Tales 126 accidentally got 2 covers when made. Note the ripped upper left corner. That's only the outside cover! The inside cover is just dandy. Stop in to see it and more! Also, this issue contains the first appearances of Dormammu and Clea!

It's Dayton Airshow weekend! I shot this photo during Friday practice. I'm zoomed in all the way, the planes are fast, the air is hazy, the heat distorts the light... A rather challenging photo session.

This old bookrack – frail, but still in use – is in the earliest photos from the shop. 80+ year old retailer bookshelves. I've never really stopped to appreciate them in this aspect. Through the years, we've lost a few to wear and this one's fading. There are 5 more still in use, thankfully in better condition.
