What your favorite Wolfenstein character says about you?
Ps. I generated text in capcut but it started to go wrong and some words didn’t even got generated so don’t mind lack of text on Bombate. Btw. This is only my opinion if you have something to say you can always write it in the comments. Video is made for joke.

I haven't played Youngblood but i wonder if it tackled anything about Wyatt or Fergus, since Wolf 2 had to account for that due to it being carried up to the end of TNO.
And Old Blood had its equivalent though i may not spoil it.
I do know Youngblood had something about the multiverse, so expect the chance of a timeline with both Wyatt and Fergus.

The only one that tops it in metro is the one that is literally called 'decommunization' in Exodus
i think i used the crossbow thing at first to take off the head lmao
#jacen replies#ahellishhound#honorable mention is the daily mission in wolfenstein youngblood where you have to destroy H*tler statues#sadly it isn't a trophy which is such a missed opportunity

Once again thinking about how in Wolfenstein: Youngblood they took Grace, leader of a resistance front that is, while not in name, quite obviously supposed to be the Black Panthers down to wearing black berets, and they made her head of the fucking FBI. I want to strangle whoever made that creative decision not unlike how domer does to the bart.

there is not a single thing any game company can do to make me consider the events of wolfenstein youngblood canonical, and I say this as a member of the fandom who did not so much as blink when BJ's decapitated head slotted right back onto his body like a lego man

YOU LIKE JESS/ZOPH FROM WOLFENSTEIN: YOUNGBLOOD TOO!?!?
I literally never see anyone talk about them and it's a damn shame, they are so twincest 👀
Hell yeah I do!!! I think the problem is that Wolfenstein as a fandom isn't exactly large and a lot of people didn't like Youngblood.
But like, their interactions are so damn cute! They are absolutely twincest!

I’ve seen different opinions about Redfall, but most have been negative.
But, I am going to decide for myself how I feel about it. I probably won’t touch it until it get it’s 60 fps patch on XBox Series consoles.
I simply don’t trust the gaming community anymore. There have been some games in the past that people said that were “awful” and then I tried them and thought they were ok. It almost feels like these days if a game isn’t a 8 or higher...it’s deemed to be “bad”. Superman 64 is bad. Big Rigs is bad. A game being a 7 is not bad. It’s not amazing, but it’s not bad either.
I remember people were shitting all over Crackdown 3. Saying it was terrible. Then I played it, and thought it was ok. Not a game of the year, but not the worst thing ever made either. The same thing happened with Wolfenstein: Youngblood. People hated that game, and then I got it when it was on sale...finished it, and once again, thought it was ok. So now I wonder if this is what is happening with Redfall.
And then there are people who actually think Microsoft should just give up on XBox. After one game not living up to expectations. Just one game. As if Hi-Fi Rush didn’t happen a few months ago. As if Game Pass isn’t making MS tons of money. Nope...Microsoft should just now end XBox. How fucking stupid are these people?

Even though Doom's setting is usually seen as goofy and not taken seriously, there are some interesting things to take when it's taken seriously or in a sincere way.
Because the premise is still cool and some media that inspired it (Like Aliens) was still sincere.
Plus, you have a lot of mods that take the setting seriously, not by making stuff more dramatic, but rather just treating the setting/premise as is and coming up with stuff that could fit it.
Though i'm sure people associate mods taking Doom's setting a bit more seriously with stuff like Knee Deep in ZDoom or Brutal Doom.
This also reminds me of how modern Doom games associate themselves with the 90's Doom comic, which has a reputation of "so bad it's good".
I guess to some it's like what if Zelda had an official game inspired by CD-I Zelda memes or something in that vein.
This is also because we went through a sort of "post irony" age and now people are getting kind of sick of irony.
So you'll probably understand why some people say stuff like "no more irony" and want more sincere stuff.
Even if there's also "it's okay to be cringe" since a lot of irony can be related to that sort of stuff too.
D3 was probably the most serious Doom has ever taken in terms of story or tone, i guess.
Wolfenstein went further with MachineGames because the story in there doesn't just get serious, it gets emotional.
I'm sure some can mention the occasional "ping pong" tone shift in TNC or Youngblood but specifically TNO and Old Blood really seem like MG had the confidence of making something truly sad with a series whose FPS debut was rather cartoony and goofy ("FPS debut" being said like this, because we know 3D is not the first Wolf game considering the Apple/stealth stuff).
Not sure if Doom ever had something like this because in Eternal, Doomguy ever having a family is treated as a random photo you find in the Fortress of Doom and Daisy as a whole probably started as a cruel joke in the 90's and nobody at id put much thought into making it dramatic (Unlike the Daisy of John Wick, i suppose).
You also have that recent merch piece with her detachable head.

Quite a darn shame Wolfenstein: The New Colossus and fecking Youngblood didn't get the kriffing point. At least The New Order+The Old Blood got the nuance.
The nazis that you see in movies are as much a historical fantasy as vikings with horned helmets and samurai cutting people in half.
The nazis were not some vague evil that wanted to hurt people for the sake of hurting them. They had specific goals which furthered a far right agenda, and they wanted to do harm to very specific groups, (largely slavs, jews, Romani, queer people, communists/leftists, and disabled people.)
The nazis didn't use soldiers in creepy gas masks as their main imagery that they sold to the german people, they used blond haired blue eyed families. Nor did they stand up on podiums saying that would wage an endless and brutal war, they gave speeches about protecting white Christian society from degenerates just like how conservatives do today.
Nazis weren't atheists or pagans. They were deeply Christian and Christianity was part of their ideology just like it is for modern conservatives. They spoke at lengths about defending their Christian nation from godless leftism. The ones who hated the catholic church hated it for protestant reasons. Nazi occultism was fringe within the party and never expected to become mainstream, and those occultists were still Christian, none of them ever claimed to be Satanists or Asatru.
Nazis were also not queer or disabled. They killed those groups, before they had a chance to kill almost anyone else actually. Despite the amount of disabled nazis or queer/queer coded nazis you'll see in movies and on TV, in reality they were very cishet and very able bodied. There was one high ranking nazi early on who was gay and the other nazis killed him for that. Saying the nazis were gay or disabled makes about as much sense as saying they were Jewish.
The nazis weren't mentally ill. As previously mentioned they hated disabled people, and this unquestionably included anyone neurodivergent. When the surviving nazi war criminals were given psychological tests after the war, they were shown to be some of the most neurotypical people out there.
The nazis weren't socialists. Full stop. They hated socialists. They got elected on hating socialists. They killed socialists. Hating all forms of lefitsm was a big part of their ideology, and especially a big part of how they sold themselves.
The nazis were not the supervillians you see on screen, not because they didn't do horrible things in real life, they most certainly did, but because they weren't that vague apolitical evil that exists for white American action heros to fight. They did horrible things because they had a right wing authoritarian political ideology, an ideology that is fundamentally the same as what most of the modern right wing believes.
