Not proud of this one at all, but I’d never drawn fanart of The Great North yet at all and I wanted to right that wrong before the new ep comes out so... Yeah subpar first try
Started rewatching "The Great North" recently (but not ranking it in a spreadsheet because there isn't one). For most of these episodes, I've only watched them once or maybe twice, and seeing them again is making me discover/re-discover things I like about the show.
Just rewatched "Avocado Barter Adventure" and I realized how much I love Wolf and Honeybee's romance! I knew I enjoyed them both as characters (Will Forte voiced characters tend to crack me up) but I had forgotten their origin story: meeting online on a movie quote message board! It's so sweet but also so real. Like, yes, of course that is how these two wonderful weirdos would find each other! (And if they can find each other maybe there is hope for all of us...)
Anyway, I love them and that's a great episode! I mean, Nick Offerman says the line "And I'm Shrek's nemesis, the Babadook" in it for crying out loud!
his "redesign" is so funny to think about. im pretty sure it happened in the middle of s2 so like after 1.5 seasons they were like "okay lets just change his eyebrows for reasons unknown and hope nobody cares too much" and nobody cared that much. because nobody should. but i did.
Bob/Beef: Spend the Episode hanging out on the boat fishing. Bob is unprepared for how rigorous the work is. Teddy video calls Bob and he and Beef hit it off.
Linda/Wolf-HunnyBee: Go on a 'wine tour' of lone moose. Linda meets Alyson and they know each other from way back and do NOT get along.
Tina/Judy: Just teenage hormones. Boy watching. Girl watching. No drama. Just boarder line too much thirst. Maybe. MAYBE they kiss. Judy's already shown to be bi-curious and i believe in LGBTina in my soul.
Gene/Ham: Cook/Bake together and come up with a new confectionary treat to celebrate the families meeting. Crispin shows up and is unsure of Genes energy.
Louise/Moon: Louise wants to learn traps and tracking. Moon teaches her and is surprised/almost jealous at how well she picks it all up.
I dont know how all this would tie into a cohesive episode or 2 part episode. But i think at least this is how the pairings would go. I hope Santiago and Mayor Peppers would make appearances too.
if i had a nickel for every time i’ve grown attached to an autistic film obsessed bisexual man with a black partner, i’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice
