“Secretary Arrested, Say She Hid Letter,” Toronto Star. October 31, 1932. Page 1. ---- Police Searching Office of Alleged Fugitive --- Special to The Star Hamilton, Oct. 31. – Oswald W. Mackie, of the real estate firm of Mackie and Mackie with offices in the Sun Life Building, was sought by police today coincident with the arrest of his secretary, Miss Teresa Kennedy, on an obstruction charge.

Police allege that the employee attempted to conceal certain letters in her clothing when Detectives Buckett and Wittun searched the office Saturday. Mackie is alleged to have converted $200 from a client, Arthur W. Lain, 38 Cline Cres., and is believed to have moved to some point in the United States.
