Visual artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. www.bozenawiszniewski.com
My artistic journey began at the National School of Fine Arts and continued on to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
I graduated with honours from Interior Architecture in 1988.
In 1990, love sent me migrating to Australia and starting a family.
I have had opportunities to work on interior design projects and drafting over the years and now after so many years
of study, work and busy home life, I can finally say I have arrived at my dream destination.
In March 2012 I opened own art studio and took up painting. After a long break , when I couldn’t pursue artistically
I believe that I am once again at the beginning of the road , which I deviated more than 10 years ago.
I am under a spell of the Australian landscape. I look around, I try to memorise everything that strikes
my imagination on the spot - the light, the colour, the texture, I store those elements in me.
Then I paint from what I remembered.
I live and work in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
My works are held in private collections in Canada, Germany, Poland and Australia.

Dzień dobry 🙂 taki ładny cytat mam. 🙂
'Kobieta z wiekiem staje się ładniejsza. Jej zmarszczki mówią, ile śmiała się w życiu, jej oczy — ile łez przelała, a siwe włosy — ile mądrości nabyła. Kobieta im jest starsza, tym więcej czuje, bardziej rozumie i mniej mówi. "

Mama Terra - The Summoned
We're very excited to present the debut album from Mama Terra - 'The Summoned', out 7 July, 2023. Signed following a tip-off from Christian Bragg of Jazz FM, Mama Terra is the brainchild of Glaswegian pianist and composer Marco Cafolla who wrote and demoed The Summoned during lockdown. Playing piano and bass keys, he used hip hop and modern American Jazz drummer samples to create a rhythm section. Wanting to add an authentic N.Y.C. vibe to the album, the stems were sent to Orangefish Studio in Brooklyn, NYC where Derek Neivergelt (Terrance Blanchard) played upright bass and engineered the sessions along with Evan Pazner (Lee Fields) on drums, with guest trumpet solos from Jeremy Pelt (‘The Summoned’ and ‘A Mind Supreme’). These parts were all recorded live directly to tape with no edits. Thereafter, Marco and his fellow Glasgow-based musicians – co-bandleader Konrad Wiszniewski, saxophones and flute; Mikey Owers, trombone; Cameron Jay, flugelhorn; and vocalist Rachel Lightbody – recorded their parts along to the N.Y.C. stems at Glo Worm Studios, Glasgow with Ross Saunders engineering and Marco producing, before mixing the album. It was then mastered by Dave Collins (D’Angelo - Black Messiah). The Summoned is a conceptual journey through life and the universe. Throughout the album soprano vocalist Rachel Lightbody adds exquisite lead lines and counter-melodies.

My, ludzie w wieku przed- i emerytalnym traktujemy tę kwestię już trochę bardziej…

Mama Terra - Chameleons: Live Interpretations of Herbie Hancock
Approached by long-time supporters Jazz FM to pick an album to recreate for their ‘Classic Album’ series, Mama Terra’s leader and pianist Marco Cafolla’s gut instinct was to select Herbie Hancock’s 1973 groundbreaking jazz-funk and fusion masterpiece, Head Hunters. Once Cafolla and the group arranged and rehearsed their interpretation of the album, they then performed the set live on Jazz FM and stunned by the reaction, the group decided to record a future live performance at the Glasgow Jazz Festival 2024, for release. Named after the opening track on Head Hunters, Mama Terra’s Chameleons (Live Interpretations Of Herbie Hancock) sees the group replacing the original synth parts, going back to where Hancock was departing from with the acoustic instruments. These synth lines and solos are replaced with Rachel Lightbody’s soprano voice, Konrad Wiszniewski’s tenor sax, and the bass sounds with Ross Saunder’s upright bass drenched in FX pedals, with Cafolla remaining on the Rhodes and D6 clavinet with wah pedal. The album also blends other Hancock tracks ‘Cantaloupe Island’ and ‘Butterfly’ into this mould, taking inspiration from other Hancock albums like Dedication and Flood. The result is an imaginative and contemporary take on the Herbie Hancock album, filtered through Mama Terra’s sound, with absolute love and respect for a masterpiece created by a giant of 20th century jazz.
