AT&T boosts wireless coverage in Sunrise

A new AT&T cell site is improving wireless service in the area surrounding the Sawgrass Mills mall in Surnise. The site is located on the south side of W. Sunrise Boulevard. This is the 2nd cell site AT&T has activated in Broward County this year.

“Customers are doing more with their wireless devices than ever before. Our goal is to provide them with an effortless network experience,” said AT&T Florida President Joe York. “This new cell site is helping us accomplish that.”  

AT&T has turned on 9 cell sites and improved more than 100 others in South Florida this year. The company has also activated a Distributed Antenna System at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. The upgrades will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices. 

AT&T constantly invests in its networks to give customers the services they need to stay connected. The company is adding the latest in network technology to ensure customers have wireless service where they need it most.  AT&T is also using antenna systems to improve service in crowded areas and large structures, like a sports stadium.
