This is Arend, my adorable Dutch Snowball Furby Baby!

I got this little guy early last year from someone who was downsizing their collection and knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a Dutch Furby Baby! :D

Dutch Furbys are generally harder to come across, so I was super happy to have found this little guy for a good price with box and everything

After a small refurb, he's basically good as new, and I couldn't be more happy to have him : ]

Embracing the coziness of my home this winter.

#living in the woods is great until it’s winter and I work 55 miles away in the city #and I leave my home in darkness and return in darkness even in early November #and as much as I love being a preschool teacher it is incredibly draining and I have little time for the other things that bring me joy…#…during the week (especially since most of those things involve being outside)#but curling up on my couch with a book about the natural world while facing these collections is a really lovely way to spend my evenings #mousemumbles #hopefully tumblr doesn’t completely butcher the image quality so y’all can see the book titles if you want

i don't wanna take over the world, it sounds like a lot. but you know, laying siege to a golf course sounds really nice sometimes

#just me hi #i'm giggling thinking about it hfbvhs #you can use the sandbanks for cover and if you plan far enough ahead you can start farming around those little ponds #and you can steal golf balls :D and use them as currency ?? or just collect them :3 #and you could use the tennis ball guns to shoot the balls at people of course!! and you're supplied with sticks when you get there !! free #weaponry !! :D #and if you can hold out for long enough you could start planting rose and blackberry bushes in places they wouldn't look #why? bc roses Always Come Back #and blackberries will take a minute but who can get mad at a blackberry bush !! nature's surprise :D #oh and of course you could have a noble steed too (golf cart) !! :DD #and you could make the building a castle #and make a little gnome town in the fields once the battle is over #OH you could build a miniature golf in and around the town too :D for the funsies #/places are very cool i like places #could some be used better? oh yea for sure #i have dreams for abandoned malls hfvbs - some of my favorite places ever #that's one big odd thing i want. to have a mall to live in hfhs :3 #is it a lot of space ? ye. but it's also SOO much space.. the possibilities !!#//anyway i Need to go for a walk in a city sometime soon lol #i miss the riverwalk aaa #GASP campus martius during the winter. my dearest #i didn't realize the threshold for being a city was so low lmao ?? like man these are just big towns what is this hfvbsh #//but aside from the city pining MAN #i got to drive earlier today ('got to' they put me in the seat and it wasn't very fun hfvbshf) and oooohhh #you know that feeling on a roadtrip when it's all worth it for just a little while.maybe when you broke over the top of a hill or looked up #from whatever you were doing to find a storm ahead and the rear lights of the cars seemed to blink in agreement with how gorgeous it all is #just that hfbsh :3 #i like places a lot. sobs [<- crying candy hearts]#//okey i'm goin to go do my somethings now hfvhs :3 :D #music and caffeine are SO good ehehhehghhg [slinkies away so fast]

I want to make a list of my favourite types of weather and two that I can think of right now and that I experienced over the past couple of days are:

- clear sunny day when there's small or moderate amounts of snow still lying around

- misty late evening with even less traces of snow but it's also fucking freezing and that's ok because that makes it feel very refreshing

#i actually have such a strong emotional collection with the first type here it reminds me of all things good and that i miss deeply #it's all about that liminal change of seasons moment. late winter / early spring there's something so special about that time #i look forward to it each year. the second type here hit me yesterday because i went out late in the evening feeling awful #(it's at least two weeks of purgatory aka in-between-meds time ahead of me #when the old ones that i'm not taking anymore stop working but the new ones aren't doing anything yet either)#and i came back home later feeling semi-normal again against all odds (thanks to this weather + minimal amounts of social interaction)#what kind of crowned it as this sort of magical moment was that element of fog and when i saw a bunch of leftover christmas lights #on the balconies of one apartment block on the way and how cool they looked through the fog and with all the stillness in the air around #and the quiet and the calm feeling. it was sort of beautiful in a haunting but comforting way #i can never really answer the question of what my favourite season is because there's something special and irreplaceable in all of them #i usually say spring though because of that in-between winter and spring time like i described #so yep sometimes all you can really do is appreciate the cycle of nature #it's like sure everything changes but the spring showers are the same now as they were 20 years ago #one thing that will always be there type of deal. even if it's never quite the same because the climate changes etc #at least there will be a new month of may eventually when all the flowers bloom again #goosepost

Meet Comet, my new Millennium Furby!

This little guy arrived a few months ago with some other new friends in a big bundle box, and I'm super happy to finally have a Millennium Furby :P

He's number 2,096 out of 50,000, and that was one of the reasons I got this little fella!

Considering the low number, I got him for a really good deal, and I'm more than happy that he's in my collection now! : ]
