for @quartzdawn contest! They are my svtfoe Jackie x Larry fankids. Spring (green and pink dress) is the first one, she's kind of a bimbo lol. Her flowers are pink hellebores. Summer is the second one, her flowers are red primroses (with golden center). Yes I fucked up her and Spring's arm fins (specifially the ones from the lowered arms). Fun fact, the girls don't have ears, but hearing holes like fishes! Also hand fins and visible scales when dry. The boys, Autumn (brown clothes) and Winter (blue clothes), definetly look more human, other than the ear fins and tails that their sisters lack, but all four of them have grills. Yes Autumn is the tallest of the quadruplets, and Winter is the shortest of the four. I gave the girls Jackie's face shape but Larry's features, and the boys Larry's face shape but Jackie's features, and their eyes (except the shape) are a mix of them both.

Planning #21 Early 2022

Note: posting this earlier than planned but otherwise it is still valid. Doing that because I’m getting some progress done on a couple of stories mentioned here so a few parts might become out-of-date soon.

So... In this status update I’ll repeat some stuff that was already said in the past, since what I wrote down in my previous ‘planning’ post is still mostly valid; you could take this more as a personal reminder to myself than a post with proper news, if you will.

So, as said in post #20: I want to focus on my on-going projects in order to complete them sometimes before the next mass extinction; to do that I’ll prioritize new chapters for WIPs (and one-shots for TotQoM) over new stuff. The odd new one-shot might still come up every now and then, of course, but I’ll try not to get side-tracked too much.

The Butterfly Bane (longfic). This one remains my biggest priority right now, a story that acts as a personal project with a lot going on for it more than anything else, for quite a few factors. Hopefully the chapters will keep coming regularly in 2022 as we get into the bulk of the plot.

Time Woes with a Pinch of Frogs (longfic). While Time Woes is story number two on my priority list, it’ll likely receive a bit more spaced out updates compared to other stories. The reasons for this are two: first, the fact that the almost episodic nature of the planned plot arcs means that it can handle long waiting periods in-between updates better. Second, because it competes with the story below in terms of writing time due to one fandom being shared (I tend to jump between different fandoms to avoid burnout while writing).

Tales from the Queens of Mewni series (one-shots). This series is something I want to keep working on, but remains challenging due to various reasons I won’t list here, so I don’t think I’ll be able to match the output of early 2021. Still, here’s the next two on the list: - ‘Mended’ will feature primarily Crescenta Butterfly and Dirhhennia Butterfly, who’ll appear along with Rhina Butterfly and Emily Kelpbottom. Currently on hiatus; I have a halfway-done draft that I will pick back up sometime in the future. - ‘By Your Side’ will feature Crescenta Butterfly and Emily Kelpbottom. This will be quite a big milestone as this one is pretty much guaranteed to become my first foray into non-Gen fic.

The Powerpuff Legacy (longfic). Legacy is still a side-project and, considering my other ongoing works, I’ve decided to pause updates for a while. It is technically not on hiatus as I keep developing it behind the scenes (mostly in terms of the outline of Part Three and corrections on the existing outline for Part Two), but considering the relatively very low interest from readers there’s no rush and as such I’ll keep it in the sidelines for a while. Still, with shorter chapter lengths I might be able to push out a few chapters for this one as well moving forward, and with substantially shorter Part Two and Three compared to Part One, the end doesn’t look as far as it did in the past few years.

Pacifica over Yonder (medium-sized chaptered fic). Pacifica over Yonder is still on hiatus. Due to some issues it is difficult for me to go back to it (including how I wrote myself into a dead-end in 2018 plot-wise with the current two chapters that are online :O), which is why I’ve been procrastinating new chapters for so long. However, for now I still don’t want to let this one go, and we’ll see if I can do catch-up work and bring this one back from the dead.

As a bonus, Ballistics, the Amphibia one-shot that was originally supposed to come around the Winter holidays and that featured Marcy, Yunan and Olivia, is almost complete and should be published relatively soon.

Overall, the plan is simple: keep new chapters coming for WIPs, with The Butterfly Bane and Time Woes taking priority over the rest, and write as many ‘THE END’ lines as I can. We’ll see if I can manage to write some, if any, but as always - I’ll try.

And, as a final point, I wanted to mention that behind the scenes I am working on a few new projects as well. I will not mention too much because I could decide to shelve them before they ever see the light of the world wide web, but for a few of these I may try to finish them up before starting to post them. Whether any of these get posted this year entirely depends on how much I manage to write, but regardless, prioritizing the WIPs that are already online remains my main goal.
