I saved and saved to get my surface pro 7. Used my old bamboo ink pen, but it had a damaged nib, and I didn't have a replacement. Then I got a surface pro slim pen after saving and saving. Now finally trying it out. I was getting funny wiggles before with the old pen which have smoothed out now with the new one. And it's nice and smooth as I adjust to it. Trying it out and playing with it. The only awkward thing is the old pen holder in the case doesn't quite hold it properly. ha ha! Spread this in the art community like wildfire

So this month microsoft decided to roll out a forced windowsink update to windows 10 that pretty much bricks your tablet. 

Wanna draw a goddamn line in Photoshop? Why would you want to do such a silly thing? Instead your pen now drags the canvas around (kinda like the hand tool but with other tools cuz why the fuck not) every time you attempt to continue working on your project! Sounds productive....right?

Welp, until microsoft decide to fix their shit (which, knowing microsoft, is probably never), there IS a solution for this!

Open cmd, paste in this:

reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pen /v LegacyPenInteractionModel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

And restart your computer.

This will revert the pen back to it’s settings before the update. PLEASE reblog this so this can get to as many windows 10 using artists as possible!!!

honestly, im pissed

So. Since 3 days I was having these problems with my graphic tablet. I couldn’t draw for shit. Every time i zoomed in and tried using my brush tool in PS it always acted like a grab tool and my canvas went absolutly mad - i couldn’t draw a single line in the past couple of days.

As I found out today - this was all due to a “new and impoved Microsoft Update” and a new feature that the oh so great Windows Ink - people have come up with.

one thing that i want to add tho: if you follow these instructions, it may kill your pen-pressure in PS (idk about the other programs).

Honestly, this caused so much frustration for people who work professionally in the art industry and also for people just like me - who do this for fun and as a form of relaxation. So much time wasted, and just because some fucko decided that this shitty update needs to happen.

Microsoft seriously got worse in the last couple of years, and im sick and tired of always using the backdoor/ an “unconventional” way of fixing their bullshit and fuck-ups.
