Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in Blue Towelling Robe No. 1, enjoying my first cuppa of the day. Happy Hump Day!
Yesterday was a good day! Two really good classes! By the end of the two lessons, I was exhausted but buzzing, and that’s a nice feeling!
At midday, I got into a good lunchtime conversation with two other teachers, and we were talking about travel and jet lag and flight attendants and assorted countries. One teacher was talking about the strict laws in Singapore. I remembered reading some horrific stories about the harsh penalties for breaking laws in Singapore. “You’ve got to be really careful!” I said, Then, the teacher replied, “There’s a comfort in following rules.” Strange thing to say but so true! That’s why SatNav is so popular! Follow instructions and you’ll be there on time. Looking at it from another angle, and speaking as a responsible person that likes to organise, sometimes it’s nice to follow someone else’s lead and let somebody else take control. (Stop it!)
A new restaurant has opened close to Willesden Junction station. It’s an old pub. In recent years, several people have tried to run a business out of there. I pass it pretty much every day and it is always empty. They have made no effort to create an introductory offer. There’s no lunchtime special. There’s no enticing menu on the window. No happy hour. They haven’t got a clue! Four doors down, there’s a cheap and cheerful Lebanese grill, with a queue out the door. Through the window, you can see chefs cooking and, coming out the door, happy customers with boxes full of kebab, chips and salad! I feel like going into the empty restaurant and giving them a few ideas but I just don’t have the time!
Today, I will be working from home. I’ve got a two-hour Zoom class at 11.00, then I’ll make myself a huge and unnecessary sandwich, then I’ll mark assignments for the rest of the day (and night!) When my brain starts to lose focus, I will turn in for the night.
Have a wonderful and well-endowed Wednesday. I love you all. Yes, a crazy, bald man loves and cares about you.

**Chapter 2.27 - Jakarta, Indonesia**
---
The moment the plane landed at **Soekarno-Hatta International Airport**, the overwhelming warmth and humidity of Jakarta greeted them. It was different from Singapore—**heavier, more intense, but alive with an unmistakable energy.**
From the windows, Sunwoo could already see the streets buzzing with life. Motorbikes weaved through traffic, the skyline a blend of towering skyscrapers and traditional architecture. **Jakarta was a city that never stood still.**
Ningning was the first to react, her face lighting up. “I’ve never been here before. It looks amazing.”
Karina adjusted her sunglasses as they walked through the terminal. “I heard the fans here are some of the loudest.”
Winter smirked. “Louder than Paris?”
Giselle chuckled. “Guess we’ll find out.”
Sunwoo, focused on coordinating with local staff, glanced at his phone. “The venue is ready for rehearsals, but we have a schedule before that.”
Ningning groaned. “Let me guess—press conferences?”
“Press, interviews, then rehearsals.”
Giselle nudged him playfully. “When do we get to eat?”
Sunwoo sighed. “You’ll survive.”
She pouted. “That’s debatable.”
---
The press conference was exactly as Sunwoo expected—**chaotic but thrilling.** Reporters filled the venue, eager to ask about the group’s experiences on tour, their thoughts on Indonesia, and hints about what was coming next.
Sunwoo stood to the side, arms crossed, watching as the members handled the questions effortlessly. **They had grown so much since the start of the tour—more confident, more composed.**
But even with their professionalism, he could tell they were **running on fumes.**
After the last question was answered, he immediately stepped in. “That’s all for today. Thank you.”
As they exited, Ningning sighed in relief. “That was exhausting.”
Karina stretched. “But at least it’s over.”
Winter turned to Sunwoo. “Food now?”
He checked his watch. “Fine. But don’t take too long. Rehearsals are in two hours.”
---
They found themselves at a **local street food market**, tucked away in the city’s bustling streets. The air was thick with the scent of spices, grilled meats, and freshly fried snacks. **It was the kind of place where the best meals weren’t served in fancy restaurants but from small carts lining the sidewalks.**
Giselle was the first to grab a plate of **nasi goreng**, taking a bite before letting out an exaggerated sigh. “Oh my god. This is heaven.”
Ningning, already munching on **sate ayam**, nodded enthusiastically. “Sunwoo, you have to try this.”
He raised a brow. “Do I?”
Karina smirked. “Yes. And you’re not allowed to say no.”
Sighing, he took a bite. **The rich, smoky flavors mixed with the peanut sauce were unlike anything he’d ever had.** He hated to admit it, but it was **incredible.**
Winter watched his reaction closely. “You like it, don’t you?”
“…It’s alright.”
Ningning grinned. “Liar.”
They spent the next hour hopping from stall to stall, trying **gorengan**, **martabak**, and **es cendol**. **For a moment, the exhaustion of the tour didn’t matter—it was just them, enjoying a simple, unforgettable experience.**
---
Rehearsals at **Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD)** were intense. **The Jakarta crowd was expected to be one of the wildest yet, and the stage setup had to be perfect.**
Sunwoo moved between staff, ensuring everything was running smoothly. He barely noticed when Karina approached him, her expression unreadable.
“You okay?” she asked.
He blinked. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
She studied him for a moment. “You’re always making sure everything’s perfect. But are you actually enjoying this?”
He hesitated. **Was he?**
She gave him a small smile. “You should. We’re almost at the end, Sunwoo. It’d be a shame if you looked back and only remembered the stress.”
He exhaled, nodding. “I’ll try.”
Karina smirked. “Good.”
---
The **Jakarta concert was explosive.** The fans were **insanely loud, their cheers shaking the entire arena, their voices harmonizing perfectly with every song.** It was one of the most intense performances of the tour, the energy unlike anything they had felt before.
Backstage, after the final encore, **Sunwoo found Ningning sitting on the floor, catching her breath, sweat dripping down her temple.**
She looked up at him and smiled. “That was insane.”
He nodded. “You did great.”
She tilted her head. “You always say that, but I feel like this time, you actually mean it.”
He scoffed. “I always mean it.”
She chuckled, leaning back against the wall. “I’m gonna miss this when it’s over.”
Sunwoo exhaled, sitting beside her. “Yeah. Me too.”
She nudged his shoulder. “See? You’re getting sentimental.”
He rolled his eyes. “Don’t push it.”
As the night wound down, and they stepped into the van heading back to the hotel, **Sunwoo realized something—Jakarta had given them more than just another concert.**
**It had given them a memory that would last forever.**

**Chapter 2.26 - Singapore**
---
The flight from Seoul to Singapore was relatively short compared to their other trips, but the shift in climate was immediate. The moment they stepped off the plane at **Changi Airport**, a wave of **humid tropical air** wrapped around them, a stark contrast to Seoul’s cool autumn breeze. **Singapore was a city of contrasts—modern skyscrapers standing beside lush greenery, a blend of cultures woven seamlessly together.**
Ningning stretched her arms above her head, letting out a sigh. “I love it here already.”
Winter wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead. “It’s so humid.”
Karina exhaled. “Yeah. But at least we’ll get to see the city.”
Sunwoo checked his phone. “You have rehearsals tomorrow. Tonight is free.”
Giselle perked up. “So we get to explore?”
Sunwoo hesitated. “As long as you don’t disappear on me.”
Ningning grinned. “No promises.”
---
Their hotel was **a luxurious high-rise overlooking Marina Bay**, the floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the dazzling skyline. After checking in, the members wasted no time freshening up before dragging Sunwoo out for a night tour of the city.
They started at **Gardens by the Bay**, walking beneath the towering **Supertrees**, their illuminated canopies casting a surreal glow over the pathways. The air was thick with the scent of tropical flowers, the occasional rustle of leaves in the gentle night breeze.
Karina walked beside Sunwoo, glancing at him. “You ever been here before?”
He shook his head. “First time.”
She smirked. “So you’re as much a tourist as we are.”
He sighed. “I guess.”
Winter slowed her pace, looking up at the glowing trees. “It’s beautiful.”
Ningning, ever the energetic one, pulled Giselle along. “We should go to the Skywalk.”
Sunwoo groaned. “That sounds like work.”
Giselle smirked. “Everything sounds like work to you.”
---
The **OCBC Skyway**, a suspended walkway between the towering Supertrees, offered **a breathtaking view of the cityscape.** The members leaned against the railing, staring out at the endless sea of lights, the water reflecting the neon glow of the skyline.
Sunwoo, standing slightly apart, found himself drawn into the moment. **For once, he wasn’t thinking about schedules or logistics—just the quiet beauty of the city.**
Ningning nudged him. “Admit it. This is nice.”
He exhaled. “It is.”
She smirked. “See? You can enjoy things.”
He rolled his eyes but didn’t argue.
---
After their walk, they headed to **Lau Pa Sat**, one of Singapore’s most famous food markets. The air was thick with the **aroma of sizzling satay, freshly grilled seafood, and fragrant spices.**
Giselle was the first to grab a plate of satay, biting into the juicy, smoky meat with a satisfied sigh. “This is amazing.”
Karina dipped a piece into peanut sauce, nodding in approval. “Best meal of the tour so far.”
Sunwoo, against his better judgment, took a bite. **The flavors exploded on his tongue—sweet, spicy, smoky, all at once.** He hated to admit it, but it was one of the best things he had eaten in a while.
Winter watched him. “You like it, don’t you?”
He sighed. “Unfortunately, yes.”
Ningning laughed. “That’s progress.”
---
The next morning, rehearsals at **Singapore Indoor Stadium** began early. The venue was massive, the acoustics different from their previous stops, requiring adjustments to their performance setup.
Sunwoo, as always, was moving between staff, ensuring every detail was accounted for. **But even amidst the chaos, something felt different.**
Maybe it was the fact that they were nearing the end of the tour, or maybe it was the way the members had grown so comfortable in their roles, but there was a **newfound ease** in the way they moved, the way they performed.
At one point, Karina walked up to him during a break. “You look less stressed today.”
He raised a brow. “Do I?”
She nodded. “Yeah. Maybe Singapore is good for you.”
He scoffed. “Doubtful.”
She smirked. “Just admit it. You’re enjoying yourself.”
He didn’t answer, but she didn’t push him.
---
That night, after the concert, the members **gathered at the rooftop pool of their hotel, the city stretching endlessly before them.**
The water reflected the glow of the Marina Bay Sands light show, soft music playing in the background. **It was the kind of night that felt timeless, like something they would all look back on years from now.**
Sunwoo sat at the edge, feet dangling in the water. **For once, he wasn’t thinking about the next flight, the next schedule. Just this.**
Winter sat beside him, sipping on a cold drink. “So?”
He glanced at her. “So what?”
She smiled. “Do you get it now?”
He frowned. “Get what?”
She gestured around them. “Why we do this. Why we put up with the exhaustion, the pressure, the never-ending cycle.”
He looked out at the skyline. **The lights, the laughter, the feeling of being part of something bigger than himself.**
For the first time, he understood.
“…Yeah,” he admitted. “I think I do.”
Winter grinned. “Took you long enough.”
As the night stretched on, Sunwoo realized something—**he wasn’t just managing a tour.**
**He was part of a story that they were all writing together.**
