Feather’s Across The Seasons [Miya Osamu x Reader ] Vocaloid Base
(Osamu's pov)
Falling flakes of powdery snow cover the mountain ridge in white~
It was a stormy day through the mountains wood,i was salking my way home.
In a rundown house in a ghostly village~
Walking through the woods as my mind fill with the memories with you...
We lean in close throughout the cold, winter night~
You in your beautiful kimono, leaning to each other.
"The day that we met, it snowed then, too,"~
The beautiful crane....
You whisper fondly with a warm smile~
I wonder how are you now...
I turn my face, flushed from the hearth fire~
I wonder what are you doing now...
And hide in the shadow of your sleeve~
The Story of the crane and the human....
.
.
.
I was walking deep into the woods until something crashed.I walked into the trees and saw a beautiful crane bleeding shotted by a arrow.
I quickly brought i home and treated its wounds.
"How selfish humans are now..." i muttered.
Few weeks has passed and the crane was fully healed.I held it close and let it flew away gracefully...
I watched it flew away and something was awaiting for me to the next day.
I knocked at my door was the first greeted me in the morning a woman in a blue kimono speaked.
"Greetings young man..,can i have a shelter here for awhile you see the snow is quite strong..." the lady in blue looked up at me and smiled.
I smiled back not knowing what fate awaits to us..
The months have passed ived learned she travels alone and homeless so i let her stay and eventually both of us falled for each other.
"(y/n)...." i called her name, she was staring at the window and glanced at me.
"Yes,osamu?" she asked.
"Marry me..."
(Reader's Pov)
With the approach of the spring~
Years have passed.
I sing with the twittering birds of its joyous changes~
I was singing at my usual spot near at the window staring outside.
"What a beautiful voice," you murmured tenderly~
"im home" my husband greeted me.
"Welcome home samu~!" i greeted him with my usual cheerful voice.
And just those simple words made me so happy~
He smiled at me and i smiled back.
"If one day, I grow old, and can no longer Sing beautifully for you, would you still love me?"~
He walked to me and carried me to our shared bed.
"Of course I would," you smile kindly. Gently, your large hand caressed my cheek~
He hugged me and both of us fell asleep me in his arms..
One summer afternoon, fresh leaves aglow, you fell ill from a desperate disease~
I was cleaning our clothes outside until i saw osamu stumbled from the ground and i ran at him,i was worried.
"Are you alright-?" i was suprised his nose dripping from blood.
The livelihood of a poor village couple Is not enough to afford the medicine to heal you~
Weeks has passed i decided to work for you and to find medicine.
The next day, and the day after, I kept weaving and weaving at the loom~
I keep weaving and weaving selling the beautiful works ived done and met this man.
"Your weavings are always getting better and better, what loom are you using may i ask lady miya?" the Rich man asked.
"Kita-san i cannot say my secret in fact i could just say,its pure and fresh and its very special kind if i may describe..." he smiled.
"Lady Miya your efforts should be granted,i want you to keep going with this and i shall find the cure you have been finding.." he smiled kindly.
I smiled at Kita-san and thanking him over and over.
Autumn's fleeting maples shed their copper leaves, But I will not allow your life to fall as they do~
"(y-y/n) you should take a break.." osamu said.
I walked out of the weaving room and walked up to him.
"Dont worry im alright" i smiled at him.
"Why wont you let me watch you weave?" he pouted.
"Well it would reveal the secret then" i smiled at him apologetically.
The season passes by And the bell crickets chirp to signal the end of summer~
I walked out the weaving room  and walked to my husband laying at the bed and i sat beside him.
"Such beautiful fingers," you say, gripping my scraped hands, But your own fingers are much too, too cold...~
He held my bruised fingers and kissing my knuckles.
I was afraid letting a tear out.
"If one day, I grow old and my fingers are No longer so beautiful, would you still love me?"~
I smiled at him and he smiled back while im tearing up.
"Of course I would," you tell me, coughing, Covering my stinging fingers in your large hand~
I lay beside his cold body hugging him dear life.
Day and night, weaving by the loom~
I keep going and going, without eating or sleeping
Hurry, I must hurry, and buy the medicine...~
I have to get the medicine from kita-san...
A little more, just a bit longer, before the maple leaves shed~
Just more
Until my fingers stop... Until I run out of my feathers...~
(Narrates)
The white crane giving her last feather...
"If one day, I'm no longer even human, Would you still love and stay with me?"~
"Will you still love me...."
Too scared, the truth remaining untold, Softly, alone, I break off the very last feather...~
Breaking every feather she have blood everywhere the room..
"Of course I will," I smile, lovingly, Embracing you, who have given up your wings for me.~
The man of her life embraced her body covered in blood.
"Even now, I will always remember, The crane that flew so beautifully on that day...~
"Ofcourse i will..."
And in this, our very last hour, I still love you..."~
Until the last breath of the human and the crane, they held each other's bodies giving each other the heat they desire...
Until they died...

Natalie Dionne raises Forest House I on three-metre stilts for better light and views
Canadian architect Natalie Dionne has completed a forest retreat in southeastern Quebec, which is raised up on stilts to meet the level of the rocky landscape.
Located in the Eastern Townships, around 60 miles southeast of Montreal, Forest House I was designed for a couple looking to live closer to nature.
Forest House I is built on a rocky outcrop in the Eastern Townships
The site they had chosen for their home featured a rocky outcrop, including one particular boulder that rose three metres above ground level.
Both Dionne and the clients agreed that the house should meet the level of this rock, so they designed a house raised up from the ground surface on stilts.
The house is raised three metres to meet the level of the ridge
As a result, more natural light is able to penetrate the living spaces. Also the house can benefit from better views, looking out over the ridge towards the forest landscape beyond.
"Raising the house on pilings is not a big deal," Dionne told Dezeen. "No one would think twice about doing it a couple of feet off the ground."
The additional height improves light and views for the interior
"In our harsh climate, however, you have to figure out how to ensure the continuity of the building envelope from below," she explained.
"At three metres you just have to make certain that the structure is adequately cross braced and that it is as discreet as possible."
Eastern white cedar clads the building's exterior
A desire to make the house environmentally friendly led to the use of wood for much of the house's structure and surfaces.
While concrete and steel was used for the main framework, and particularly the raised elements, the roof is supported by a structure made from engineered wood produced from Northern Québec black spruce.
Meanwhile the facades are cold with eastern white cedar, which has been pretreated to make it more durable, which will also allow it grey faster.
The roof structure is made from engineered spruce
Dionne's aim was for this material to "blend into the landscape like a chameleon sunning itself on a rock".
"Although most Canadian homes are structurally constructed out of wood, we buy into the idea that using sustainably harvested, locally sourced forest products whenever possible contributes positively towards reducing the carbon footprint of any project," she said.
The kitchen islands are among several elements made from solid maple
"When appropriate, we like using prematurely aged local white cedar because, in theory, clients can just forget about it once it is up," she continued.
"In a forest environment such as this, we like the fact that the grey wood makes the home blend into the natural surroundings, thereby minimising the visual impact on the landscape."
A staircase separates the living spaces from the master bedroom
The building contains two storeys, covering an area of 215 square metres, or 2,300 square feet.
The lower level, which takes up just a fraction of the overall footprint, is predominantly an entrance level, although it also contains a guest room containing bunkbeds – room for up to 10 guests to stay.
Surrounding trees give privacy to the master bedroom
Upstairs, the staircase divides the floor into two sections. On one side is the master bedroom suite, which nestles into the trees to the south. The other side contains a large lounge, kitchen and dining space.
Sliding glass doors allow the living space to open out to a large, partially shaded terrace. This terrace extends out to the meet the ridge, allowing the house to feel like part of the landscape.
The master bathroom features a bath tub with a view
Wood is a recurring theme through the interior. The staircase is made from solid maple, as are the kitchen islands and the vanity units in the bedrooms. Other built-in cabinetry is made from Russian plywood.
Other surfaces are more clean and minimal, preventing a log-cabin aesthetic. Floors are polished concrete, while the windows are framed by natural aluminium, another material that is easy to recycle.
A bunk room on the lower level can sleep 10 guests
"The clients love their new home and so do their lucky guests," added Dionne, who also recently completed a renovation of an apartment building in Montreal.
She concludes: "There is something particularly pleasant in the feeling that you are floating above it all as you drift seamlessly between interior and exterior spaces, basking in the light and the tranquility of the forest."
Photography is by Raphaël Thibodeau.

Even though we have not finished the cabin, we have made a little progress—mainly the ventilation and the foundation.
Mark is not comfortable with electricity and it frustrates him, but he tries to do it by himself and when it makes him cry, we hire Miguel to fix everything. Miguel is not comfortable with log cabins and they work together. You have not lived until you have seen a native Spanish speaker and a native Latvian speaker carry out a conversation in English about electricity, which the Spanish speaker knows about, and log cabins, which the Latvian speaker knows about. Some of it probably wasn’t English, Spanish, or Latvian.
Last spring, we installed the ventilation. We procrastinated on the ventilation because it intimidated Mark, and I was not even going to attempt it by myself because it would be worse of a disaster if I tried. I helped them, though.
We had to cut holes in the log cabin walls and once you cut a hole in a log cabin and change your mind, you have to replace the log, which is like playing Jenga with a chainsaw.
Mark had a feeling if we did not install the vents before we did anything else, we would have to rip things apart to install them later because our cabin was rotting and growing black mold, and he is a little concerned that he waited a year for it. Whenever we tried to make time for it sooner, he could not, and it is one of the things he needs to work on uninterrupted for hours.
Our roof ridge has box vents, and Mark wants to add wind turbines. Box vents are holes in the roof that are allowed to be there. The wind turbine would move from the wind blowing, so it does not need electricity. This kind is different from the ones on our roof that supply electricity.
Each room or main room zone (kitchen, stairwell, main room) has two fans on the exterior walls. One fan sucks air into the room and one fan sucks air out. To prevent pollen or pollutants from leaving or entering, both fans can have filters. We have to clean them regularly to prevent fires, but we don’t mind. Each room has its own system, meaning the fans are not connected to each other. Mostly, we need them to control humidity.
We don’t like how the vents look, but they are necessary. I spray painted the vents before we installed them.
However, the major problem with the ventilation was power—we needed enough electricity to use the ventilation, crock pot, phones, laptops, and charge batteries on the same day. Angelica and Madison lived with us then, and Mark and I bought Madison a laptop and other things she needed to study. The ventilation, Madison, and the crockpot still hold power strip priority.
After adding one new solar panel a month, we have enough power to run the ventilation, laptops, and crockpot, and charge batteries and phones and the like, if we do not use things like mixers and drills. Mark still woodworks to sell the items and to give away and we plan our power usage so he always has a full battery. If he has a commission, Madison is the only other one who can use a power strip. Always, I avoid using the electric kitchen gadgets, and if the battery-powered toys run out, Marmalade has to buy replacement batteries with her allowance. Mark and I thought we would have limited power, at least at first, and I had the important ones in my hope chest, like a coffee grinder, egg beater, and mechanical timer.
We do not want the solar panels on top of the roof permanently, but will leave them there for now. Also, we do not have space for more on the house and have begun using the privy and barn roofs, other places we do not want them permanently. It works well enough.
Mark and I tried to install the solar panels by ourselves, but we could not do it well, and we hired a guy to do it and he taught us how to do it. We still hire him because he needs the work, but he lets us help.
We did not install it by ourselves, but we got a home security system, a fire alarm and a carbon monoxide detector that notifies the fire department, and a flood detector. With those things, it seems like if people do not have it, they regret it, and we try to learn from mistakes made by other people. The one we have been looking at includes a motion detector and we want the motion detector at the barn. It is something we could theoretically do by ourselves, but it seems safer to use a company.
The home security guy looked at us like we were crazy when we said we wanted the security camera pointed at the chicken coop. That was literally the only reason we got a security camera.
Mark wanted to put the sign in the yard and I said he could, but as long as we were being sign people, I wanted one that said something like, “And until the police get here, we have guns, and bullets are much faster than the police or you.” We looked at different signs and Mark was concerned criminals would not understand them, and he carved one on our porch that says, “This house is protected by the good Lord and a Gun. You might meet both if you enter unwelcome.” Right by the welcome mat in the Hufflepuff colors that says, “Wizards welcome. Muggles tolerated.” We don’t have anything worth stealing, but the burglar might not know that. Mark also made a sign saying, “If you are looking for the log cabin, this is the place” and it has our address.
We really, really wanted indoor plumbing, but got the home security, fire, and flood stuff instead because we are adults. None of them are exciting, but Mark purifies and disposes of the water and cleans the bathroom and privy, Marmalade does the dishes, and I do the laundry. We spend quite a bit of time lugging water and most of the time, we don’t mind, but indoor plumbing would be a huge convenience. We are lucky, though—no walking for miles to get water, we don’t worry about droughts, we don’t have cholera or Ebola here, etc.
We have a landline because the emergency services can track it. It is difficult to find our house sometimes and if a kid has to call 911 because an adult can’t, we want to make it as easy for them as possible.
We have not done other wiring, but we have the places marked. We do not have finished walls yet and it seems like a bad idea to have a lot of wires unless they will be promptly covered up.
Mark built a shelf in the loft for the non-child-friendly liquids (like bleach), flammable liquids, and solar panel batteries and made sure there was a spot for the water heater and water filter when we get them.
He built a cupboard under the stairs, where I store cleaning things, laundry things, and my household binders. He does not know if it will fit under the stairs, but for now, it works well. The real one will have space for sewing, knitting, and crocheting supplies. Right now, I needed somewhere to keep them away from the kids.
For the kitchen, Mark built me a pie safe, and I keep eggs, butter, sourdough starter, bread, other baked things (biscuits, pies, cookies, etc.), seasoning, maple syrup, honey, molasses, peanut butter, and opened sauerkraut, pickles, and jam, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and the produce for the day in it. Grandma says if the pickles are submerged in brine and the jam has sugar, it will probably be fine. We have such a limited fat supply we hardly ever have a full jar. I made some fabric bags, like grocery bag holders, for garlic and onions, since they should be kept at room temperature and in a dark place. We were having trouble finding a place for winter squash, and I tried a willow basket and hated it. It didn’t work without the squash squashing each other or having to be tumbled around and bruised while I look for the right kind. Mark made a stand specifically designed to accommodate pumpkins, Hubbard squash, turban squash, spaghetti squash, and butternut squash. It is based on vegetable bins. Instead of being stacked, they are side-by-side and wide enough to two rows of Hubbard squash, long enough to stack one Hubbard squash on its side, and short enough for me to reach in comfortably, and it stores enough for a month. They schnuck right in. He made sure the pie safe and the squasher were topple-proof because along with the risk somebody would topple it accidentally, Lad and Lassie stand up by pulling on things. (They aren’t allowed to crawl around the kitchen, but Lad is sneaky.)
A couple months ago, we improvised a half bathroom. It has a composting toilet, a bucket of whatever we are using to soak up the sewage, a basin, a bottle of soap, a hand towel, a flashlight, a trash can, a bucket to empty the basin, a bucket to fill it up again for the next person, a stack of toilet paper and feminine hygiene items, and a sign with instructions. When people come over (especially kids), we put a towel over the toilet paper and feminine hygiene items. Most of Marmalade’s friends probably don’t know about periods yet and we don’t want the moms to have surprise questions.
The bathroom floor is not finished and neither are the walls, but it has a window, and we have a towel hung over the window with command hooks. Most importantly, we do not have to go outside to use the privy and Marmalade does not have to wake up an adult to take her after dark.
When we finish the real floor, we will include pipes, but we might not get a toilet and sink, or a kitchen sink. It would be a pain to add after we finish the floors. We have adapted to life without plumbing fine, but sometimes it would be nice to have it.
Mark built a temporary flight of steps into the cabin and he wants to build a porch.
Outside, we dug French drains around the cabin and they drain into a barrel so we can water our garden with the water.
We have been clearing plants around our house until it is bare dirt, which doesn’t look very nice and we might pave over it or cover it with gravel or something. We do not live in an area prone to wildfires, but if our cabin catches fire, we do not want it to spread to the rest of the property.
Bugs have been waging a guerilla war against us and Mark sprays for bugs and fills in any gaps in the logs. He installed a bug guard between the foundation and the first logs.
They might think mud chinking is the same as their natural habitat, and sometimes the mud chinking is drafty, too. If I mop, sometimes it washes away the chinking, and if the rain blows against the cabin for long enough, it washes off. Once it rained and overnight the temperature dropped to about ten degrees and when it melted the next day, the chinking turned back into mud. Maybe our technique is bad, but redoing it is a hassle, and we haven’t figured out what we are doing wrong. Appalachian log cabins were chinked with mud before people invented caulk. Unfortunately, we don’t have anybody to ask if the chinking regularly wore away easily—we might be doing it right and don’t know. I asked my great-aunt if she knew anybody and she said, “Didn’t the Waverleys when I was a girl—No, Irene Waverley is dead.” She said she would ask around the nursing home.
We scrubbed out the chinking, replaced it with weather stripping, and caulked it with a caulk that comes out textured and a color similar to the cabin. We chose grey because our logs have been turning grey, which is fine. If we wanted a different color, we would have used other kinds of logs.

The Property Brothers Reveal One Thing Every Dream Home Needs on ‘Celebrity IOU’
HGTV; realtor.com
“Property Brothers” stars Drew and Jonathan Scott are used to helping stars treat their friends and family to home makeovers on their latest HGTV series, “Celebrity IOU.” But they’ll have to get ready for an especially emotional renovation when actress Viola Davis surprises her best friend with the home renovation of her dreams.
On the “Viola Delivers a Dream Home” episode, the brothers meet the “How to Get Away With Murder” star in Minneapolis, where Davis’ dear friend of 30 years, Michelle, lives with her family. While Michelle’s house may be the site of many fun gatherings, the space isn’t exactly ideal for entertaining—nor is it quite the relaxing oasis Davis thinks her friend deserves.
Read on to learn how Davis and the Scott brothers make this home the perfect space for entertaining, working from home, and more—and how some of these ideas might be worth trying in your own home, too.
Viola Davis knows that this old kitchen needs an update.
HGTV
Every dream home should have a fireplace
This fireplace welcomes everyone into the living room.
HGTV
So what’s the one thing the brothers think every dream home needs? A fireplace.
Drew explains that a fireplace can make a living room feel more welcoming, and it turns out he’s right! With a marble surround and mirror above, this warm feature definitely makes the living room feel cozier.
Davis shows off a record player feature hidden in the built-ins.
HGTV
They also add some floating shelves to either side, framing the fireplace and making the space much more functional. In the end, this fireplace with built-ins transforms the living room into a relaxing sitting room the family will certainly use all the time.
Add a pop of color to a kitchen peninsula
Davis enjoys the peninsula with Michelle and the Scott brothers.
HGTV
Davis wants Michelle’s space to be clean and fresh, but she doesn’t want the design to be stark white. So the brothers agree to add a big pop of color on the kitchen’s new peninsula. They lay a blue, ridged panel over the peninsula that not only gives the space some color, but also adds some much-needed texture. It’s a fun alternative to more traditional accent paint or tile—and looks amazing.
This kitchen, with the peninsula, looks incredible!
HGTV
Wood accents add a warm, earthy feel
Davis and Jonathan Scott look over some design samples.
HGTV
While the blue peninsula gives this house some serious personality, Davis is determined to bring some extra color into the kitchen. However, she doesn’t want to compromise on the light and airy design she knows Michelle would love. So, the brothers come up with an idea to incorporate some wood tones to break up the white design.
Drew and Jonathan use maple for the pantry and fridge surround, then finish the kitchen with white oak accents in the cabinets, which match the built-ins around the fireplace.
These wood tones help give the kitchen a little extra color without being too bold. They provide an earthy feel that fulfills Davis’ peaceful and relaxed design vision.
Choose lighting fixtures that complement each other
This chandelier looks amazing over this elegant dining table.
HGTV
In order to fit plenty of cabinets into this small kitchen, Drew and Jonathan have to take out one kitchen window. While they compensate by widening a different kitchen window, they know that Davis wants this space to be as light and bright as possible, so they’re sure to add some stylish lighting.
The gorgeous gold pendant lights above the peninsula are a beautiful addition to this kitchen, but the chandelier above the dining table is also an incredible piece. It’s gold, complementing the lights above the peninsula, plus it brings a more sophisticated style to the dining space.
Replace that traditional office desk with a counter
This wall-length desk is a stylish feature.
HGTV
Davis already knows that Michelle’s kitchen and living room need a good update, but she decides that Michelle also deserves a good office space to top off this renovation.
One of the great features the brothers decide to include in this space is a wall-length stone counter that’s big enough for both Michelle and her husband to have plenty of workspace.
While a traditional office setup might include two bulky desks, this chic office design fills up the room with lots of practical surface area and plenty of sleek design.
Is this ‘Celebrity IOU’ a success?
Once the brothers finally finish up this renovation, Davis is thrilled with the results. The bright, serene design is exactly what she’d hoped for.
Finally, the team invites Michelle back home, and as soon as she walks in the door, it’s clear that she’s delighted with the transformation. From the brand-new fireplace to the sleek kitchen to the incredible office space, she loves it all.
In just five weeks, Davis and the Scott brothers bring some real star quality to this outdated family house, making this “Celebrity IOU” a major success!

On my birthday, a few days ago, I sat on the balcony and watched the sun come gliding over the ridge with its unfurling of light and dispel what was left of the fog above the water.
I’ve turned 19. I’m thinking of an early summer. I’m thinking of wet dust, the way it smells after a first rain. Pouring water, down the empty wooded lot behind our house, past the gnarled, knotted Maple, past where the trail I’d run ended.
A year, two, before it blew up, all of it, going up in a flash like a stupid hope, I’d wait till Gran slept in the afternoons, walk lightly out of the door, and hit the ground running.
I’d figured I’d need something to keep me out of my own head, and I must’ve needed it bad, because once I’d found a pace, I was out running five, six times a week. Gran stopped being able to sleep in the afternoons, and then I was out in the mornings, and late at night, when there’d be no one on the paths. I’d run so hard that my heart felt like it would fold. My blood throbbing in my head; a beat, a rhythm.
I didn’t realize it then, but I was learning a new way to be quiet. There was me in school, alone, that was one way. There was me, standing in the lot behind the house, from where I could see Gran, but she couldn’t see me, that’d been another sort, because I’d be farther from her and more likely to be by myself. There’d been opening the window halfway while it rained so that my face grew wet when I lay down underneath it, with my head propped uncomfortably in the crook between the wall and the bed, so that stiffness came slowly, like a migraine and it seemed to me then like the sky was rousing itself from some profound slumber. There’s how I’d hide when I saw someone I recognized, how I sometimes liked to listen to the phone ring until it stopped. Silence a billion times bigger than I am, bigger than I was, that’s so loud, it comes singing out of my bones, seizes me the way wick seizes flame. The light lancing straight through me. The feeling before the visions started, and later, before they would come.
Gran, of course, knew less and less what to do with me.
One night I’m home too late and she’s sitting in the door, lit by lamp, and when I come in she stands, hard eyes on me.
She says my name, once, low and unsteady. Like it’s a question she’s asking me.
I remember standing over her, looking at the clean part of her hair and being overcome by that same pounding feeling, the premonition that something was about to change and I was scared, I realized, senseless, and she put her arms around me.
When I dream of her, she wears dirt, goes knocking on doors, searching for me. There’s longing so intense, I wake up, and those nights I don’t sleep again and I don’t remember what I dreamt of until much later.
Olympus is a child’s picture book dream of a city.
The twelve Gods have formed what they call a council, and when I first heard it called that I laughed out loud while they looked me in the face.
There, on the mountain, they toss mortals around like curses, watching, not hearing, they want it so, and so it is, haphazard strokes of divinity, like waving a brush in the dark.
Zeus’s gaze lingers, still, and Hera’s resentment is plain on her face when she looks at me.
It’s all in the lips and eyebrows, and the set of his nose; I’m certain that if he could set me on his knee and hold me there, that he would. Revulsion rises like bile in my throat, and it’s all I can do to look away.
While I laughed in their faces, Athena watched me, her eyes flat and still as stone, with an expression that betrayed nothing.
There’s hunger there, for something, I’m certain; pain or power or retribution and my heart flutters strangely in my chest, accelerating against my will when she obliges me with a cool smile.
I turned once, to look at her again before I left, and when our eyes met, the desire I saw there was so overwhelming that the air turned to an anvil above my head and I strained underneath its weight.
Worry about that, God King.
There is, in the soul, a desire for not thinking. For quiet stillness. When I look at Hades, I’m struck by his disquiet. To whom does he pay the unrest he owes?
At night, I lay awake, and turn, looking into the cool dark. Mine, I pay to a life I’ve never lived, and cannot live. To whom does a God look? Where does he turn? I don’t wonder, but tonight, I can’t help myself.
When I have visions of him, I search his face.
Poseidon unnerves me. He smiles a sudden, wide open smile, full bodied and warm and I recoil. I don’t like the familiarity. Visions of him are tinged by the same air of unreality as a dream, he’s a dreamanchor, I see a siren, children, an implacable need for something he’s never had.
Ares attempts brutishly to ensure my complacency. Demeter makes passes at friendship.
I suppose it is a small comfort that Aphrodite no longer attempts to speak to me, though she smiles a secret half-smile as though we’re friends everytime I enter a room. Her teeth are uniquely disconcerting in their white-ness, which I’d bet good money is the intended effect. What would a Goddess bet, I wonder? Athena would know.
Hermes has made several jokes to me in passing, each more irritating than the last. A procession of Prophets, soles callused, hands roughened by sun, folded in supplication, walking barefoot to somewhere, I know better than to think I could do your job but one more conspiratorial throw-away grin, and I’ll retire a monk.
This is what I know: those to whom the Gods grant nothing are free.
My mentor, Gothel, is unwavering in her brutality and cold, when she looks at me it’s like I’m some remote thing she’s viewing over a great distance. I trust her, the way the shared nature of an ordeal can make two people trust each other.
When she reaches for my hand, I hold it and squeeze until her bones pop. She smiles.

How to Clean Windows In Canada
Keeping up your windows frequently takes more muscle than you get from a cloth and common window cleaning splash.
Introduction
Regardless of whether you're performing fundamental home support or preparing the windows preceding repainting the trim, figure out how to effectively clear off the entirety of the residue, soil, and trash with the assistance of a pressure washer.
Stage 1: Evaluate the Condition
Prior to utilizing the pressure washer, take a nearby take a gander at your windows. Check to ensure all caulking is in acceptable condition, and that that the coating around the sheets is unblemished. In the event that you plan on re-caulking or re-coating, evade pressure washing until the fix has been made.
Know about any spots on your trim that may require repainting. The weight washer can slacken chipping paint, yet it can likewise harm uncovered wood if the surge of water is excessively commanding.
Stage 2: Water Soil Underneath Windows
Splashing the dirt underneath every window weakens any synthetic substances that are in the cleanser that you will use to wash the windows.
Stage 3: Add Cleanser Concentrate to Weight Washer Repository
Pour multi-use cleanser that is defined for pressure washers into your washer's store. Most recipes will appear on the bundling that the cleanser is ok for siding, windows, and walkways. Introduce the cleanser tip as far as possible of your weight washing wand. At the point when initiated, the wand with the cleanser tip will give an amazing stream of foamy water, however at a lower pressure (a ~60-degree edge shower) than different tips (more grounded weight tips extend from smaller 40-degree to a pin-point 0-degree stream).
Stage 4: Use Compel Washer to Apply Cleanser
Turn on the weight washer and start the wand. Utilize the lathery shower to focus on the trim, keeping the tip of the wand at a 45-degree point to the window and trim. Pointing the wand at an edge to its objective will lift and expel soil from the trim, windowsill, and glass from underneath more viably than impacting it straight on. It will likewise extricate any chipping paint, which assists with setting up your window trim for another layer of paint.
Stage 5: Flush Windows
Mood killer the weight washer and switch the tip on the wand to a "general use" tip. A tip that conveys a 15-to 20-degree edge will give a more grounded weight stream that will viably evacuate cleanser that is superficially and any earth that has been released by the cleanser. Shower from the highest point of the window downwards to totally wash the window clean.
At the point when complete, check to guarantee that the coating and caulk are still in acceptable condition and enable the window to air dry for a few days before you prime and paint.
Or Another simple stage

Some late mornings feel like they belong in romantic stories, full of dramatic confessions, heartache and breath-taking conclusions. This is not one of those mornings; instead, it’s a halcyon thing set on the summer cusp. While the air is warm and humid, the rain softly pattering over rooftops still holds a certain chill. A film of water makes the world look clean, windows and cars shimmering in the sun peeking in and out from behind clouds, golden rays reflecting against puddles nested in the cracks of New York streets.
The clock is nearing the 10 a.m. mark, when Alec transfers the last pancake onto the already high-stacked, indulgent plate. There’s also freshly cut strawberries and maple syrup alongside a French press full of freshly brewed coffee. The muted music from the radio melts into his skin as Alec hums along to random notes, bare feet quiet on the kitchen floor, his hair mussed up and his face a home to dark stubble that he didn’t bother with shaving.
As Alec pours the bitter-sweet coffee into two mugs, there are steps near the door, then a warm hand at his lower back and even warmer lips pressed into his shoulder. A shiver runs through his skin, leaving behind goosebumps all the way down his arms and his bare chest; previous hours come back to mind, images hazy like half-developed polaroid pictures.
It was much earlier when they woke up, skin against skin, tangled in thin sheets and in each other, a want thrumming in their veins. There was no rush – at first kisses slow and wet and deep, kisses that lit fires along Alec’s spine and made Magnus hum with delight, kisses that left their mouths tingling and red. Then, hands pressed against hipbones and heavy breathing laced with laughter as Alec shifted himself into Magnus’ lap; it felt so good, to have Magnus so close, to have his arms around his waist as they moved together, a slow and steady trickle of heady pleasure rolling through their bodies.
Afterwards, they stayed in bed a little longer, a little more sweaty and with bones heavy with satisfaction. They talked in pieces, words substituted by fingers dancing across skin and noises, nothing substantial, silence just as comfortable as words. Yet, they couldn’t bum around all day, so when Magnus had to pick up a work-related call that popped their post-sex bubble, Alec occupied the shower, leaving Magnus to do the same while he went to prepare them breakfast.
Magnus’ hair is swept messily to the side and slightly damp when Alec cards his fingers through it and presses in for another kiss, a close-mouthed little thing tasting of peppermint . The goatee tickles against the ridge of his upper lip and when Alec pulls back, he stares for a moment, as there’s something so homely about Magnus sans his dark make up, something that makes him look softer and much more human, something that makes Alec want to kiss him again and he does exactly that. It never feels enough, to press his mouth against every centimeter of skin on Magnus’ body and still be starved for more.
“Those for me?” Magnus asks, tilting his head towards the steaming pancakes with a mirthful smile tucked into the corner of his mouth, his nose bumping against Alec’s as they stand close, pulled together like magnets and unable to leave each other’s space.
Alec lifts himself onto the counter island and sits cross-legged, a grin settled across his face.  “I might share if you’ll be nice.” He pushes the large plate towards Magnus and they both pick their portions, piling on enough pancakes for half an army.
“I’m always nice.” Magnus says as he takes his first bite and after a moment of silence and a pointed eyebrow raise from Alec, he purses his lips in consideration, stern in contrast with his stuffed cheek. They share a glance, resulting in laughter and a roll of brown eyes. “Okay, I’m nice most of the time.”
Alec has his plate resting dangerously on his knee and Magnus sits at the edge of a stool with his ankles crossed.  They don’t bother with full cutlery, instead picking at the food with forks sticky with syrup while they talk about work and exchange previously heard gossip. While Magnus animatedly tells the story of Catarina’s last funny patient encounter, Alec’s mind drifts, only half-registering the words.
The rain keeps falling, Alec is warm and sated, his mind hazy at the edges and his body feeling full even without the food that coats his tongue with a sugar-sweet gauze. There’s spots of gold light dancing across Magnus’ sternum as he shifts to rest his elbow against the cabinet top, before swiping his fingers across his lower lip. Alec sighs, sips his coffee, just shy of burning his tongue.
He’s been thinking lately, snagging his attention on daydreams and details that he never noticed before. When they work at home, Magnus in his favorite armchair with his feet up on an ottoman and books floating all around him, Alec curled into the couch surrounded by papers, he looks up, just to admire Magnus for a moment, take in his focused expression and the way he fiddles with the jewelry on his fingers, especially the one on his ring finger, twisting and turning it relentlessly to the tune of his thoughts. It draws attention, makes Alec consider how a gold band would look against Magnus’ skin.
In boring meetings at the Institute, he doodles – it starts off with flowers, roses and gardenias, something mindless just to pass time, shapes and lines and words that don’t make much sense, but before he knows it, there are cat eyes staring up at him from the page and Alexander Lightwood-Bane is scribbled in the margin in his own handwriting. He keeps that page tucked into the back of his notebook, strangely sentimental.
It gets worse – the idea never leaves him, but instead accompanies his every day, strangely pleasant and comforting. It makes him pull the golden suit jacket out from the back of his closet, the bitter memories lingering along the edges of the sleeves, but there’s something else now. Alec starts to understand why Shadowhunters wear gold at weddings.
When he first realizes he wants to marry Magnus, it startles him, only for different reasons than most people, probably. Not because it’s a lifelong commitment and a huge milestone, but because he never thought he’d be allowed to see it as a possibility, of being with a man - out in the world, proud and present. But it is real, it is visceral, it is on the horizon, because they are in love that feels like a bottomless sea. A couple of years back, he would’ve thought that since Shadowhunters die young why bother, that he’s not allowed to have love, that it’s going to bring more grief than anything worthwhile. A couple of years back, he would’ve ran from himself and settled for a loveless life, a marriage that was nothing but a lie to keep other people happy.
Now, he’s eating breakfast on a Saturday morning with the man he would give his life for, a man he would go down on one knee for this very moment if only he had a ring in his pocket, a man that is his future, no matter what life brings. He’s found his home and he’s found his heart and finally, he belongs somewhere, with someone.
  “Alec? Are you with me?”
At the sound of Magnus’ voice, Alec blinks rapidly, bringing the world back into focus. Everything is muted, like his head’s underwater and he’s just surfacing; the coffee he’s holding is dangerously close to spilling over his lap until he tips it back straight with a sheepish smile and fingers dancing over the chipped ridge of the mug. There’s no pretending he wasn’t listening. “Sorry.”
Even without picking his head up from where he’s watching the frayed threads at the bottom of his sweatpants,  Alec knows he’s being studied – there are careful and attentive eyes dancing across his face, over his chest and down to his fidgeting hands. Then, the clink of a fork set down, a quiet sigh, the scrape of wood against tile, a tender touch of warmth over Alec’s wrist.
  “You’re overthinking something, aren’t you?”
Alec lifts up his head, tangling their fingers together, absentmindedly running the pad of his thumb over the smooth polish covering Magnus’ nails. He fights a smile, his upper lip twitching.
  “Is it that obvious?”
“You’re just easy to read sometimes.” Magnus shrugs, doesn’t push for the answer, instead just picks up his mugful of coffee and takes a large gulp, patient and understanding and too good for Alec.
Even if sometimes a question is bright and sharp at the edges, it’s hard to get it out, something keeping the air in his lungs. So instead of talking for a moment, Alec takes in the different jars lined along the shelves, watches raindrops race down the glass, focuses on the feel of Magnus’ skin against his.
“Have you ever… um- you’ve lived for a long time, so have you thought about marriage? Have you ever wanted to get married?”
The saying goes – expect the unexpected; judging by the way Magnus’ eyebrows go up, that wasn’t a question he was ready for, his lips parted around silence before slowly shifting into a curious smile. He wets his lips before he speaks, fingers tightening their grip on Alec’s. “Of course I’ve wanted it. I thought, Camille and I, that it would be with her, but she quickly shut me down, cynical as always.”
There’s a wrinkle between Magnus’ eyebrows, his faced pulled tight with memories and Alec shifts, stretches out his legs to let them hang off the counter at Magnus’ sides;  closer, closer, until he’s able to rest his forehead against Magnus’, who sighs from the bottom of his lungs. Things like these never come easy, even after decades.
“She told me marriage would just be a ball and chain at my feet. That I should just be free, because nobody will want to marry a warlock anyway.”
Alec doesn’t resist the urge to roll his eyes, as he lifts their hands closer, presses his coffee-warmed mouth against Magnus’ palms, over his knuckles to where the wedding ring usually sits.
  “I want to.”
At the words, Magnus pulls back, the expression on his face unreadable for a moment before he shakes his head minutely. It’s something Alec notices pretty early on – any show of affection, whether by words or actions, results in the subtle gesture of disbelief, as if it is new, as if Magnus has to get used to reverence again. It makes sense, in a way: to isolate himself from hurt and to sever the ties with his past is often to forget.
Still, soon the initial surprise melts into a fond smile with a playful edge; Magnus keeps looking, eyes brighter than before. “Did you just propose to me, Alexander?”
The significance of Alec’s own words finally kicks in and a wave of warmth rushes out of his chest, reaching to color his cheeks and neck ruddy, not with embarrassment, but pleasure, a giddy spark deep in his heart. He’s not afraid anymore to reach for a happy ending.
“If I did, would you say yes?”
  “Yes.”
  “Then it’s a promise.”
