Today was one of those days. The birds don’t sing at your wake, the sun doesn’t shine as bright. You weren’t sure what had been the catalyst to such a terrible day; maybe it was forgetting your umbrella, or losing your glasses under the gloomy sky, or the rain that pitter-pattered against the pavement and mocked your misfortune.
It wasn’t until a faceless stranger entered your blurred field of vision, offering their umbrella and picking up your glasses. Before you could even thank them for their help, they whisked away so quickly it was like they were a figment of your imagination.
That small kind gesture had stuck with you for days, wondering if you would ever be able to meet them again. You desperately wished you were able to see what they looked like, but from the softness of their voice, to their gentle touch, you had a feeling that their personality is just the same.

Working a shift at Rain or Shine Cafe is always the highlight of your day, especially after spending so many hectic hours at your university. The cafe was always serene, the customers were kind, and you liked how calming it would get once the Vancouver rain started to pour in. The droplets hitting the glass windows in a rhythmic pattern that could probably put you to sleep if you allow.
Rain or shine cafe was like your little safe haven from the busy city and university town. Working the evenings while your boss, Seokmin, would cover the mornings. It definitely was a little bit complicated with only the two of you, but you didn’t mind. You liked being the only person during your shift, it meant that you were practically your own boss.
It wasn’t until the day that Seokmin decided it was time for a new hire, your safe space seemingly turned upside down.
“Y/n, I’ve hired a new person, you’ll have to train them okay?” Seokmin informs you the moment you clock in.
Giving him a defeated sigh, you knew it was time for a new coworker to join you. Although you hate the idea, you felt bad at how hard Seokmin works in the mornings, and on the rare occasions when you’re sick, evenings as well.
“I don’t know Seokmin… are you sure I should be the one training them?” your tone wavers, if anything the owner would be able to do a better job than you at the training the new hire.
“What! You’ll do great, you’re my best employee after all,” he gives you a reassuring pat on your shoulder.
With furrowed brows, your eyes bore holes into his back as he heads back to his office.
“I’m your only employee!” you shout back while he can still hear you.
The idea of having to train a new person after spending so much time finding your own rhythm while working at the cafe doesn’t particularly thrill you. With many many prayers to the universe, you just hope they aren’t a pain in the ass to deal with.
˚∗˖⁺⑅ ˖⁺⑅˖◛
Soonyoung wasn’t sure what to expect on his first day, and he was especially nervous because he’s never worked at a cafe before. Although his coordination is great when it comes to dancing, he isn’t so confident in his coffee making skills.
The moment he walked through the door, he saw your face shining against the afternoon sun, his heart beating so fast he thought he might have to go to the doctor for a serious case of heart palpitations. He can’t help but curse at himself silently, knowing that he was going to be extra nervous because of his extremely pretty coworker.
As he approaches you he starts to feel a sense of familiarity bubbling at the bottom of his stomach. Wondering if he’s seen you around before, but he quickly scratches that idea knowing that there's millions of people living in the Greater Vancouver area.
Clearing his throat he tries to get your attention as you delicately refill the pastry shelf with almond croissants and bagels. Your eyes turn towards the figure in front of the counter, assuming it’s another student from the university wanting to order.
“U-uh hi,” Soonyoung blurts out, his pillowy cheeks turning red under your gaze.
“Hi, what can I get for you?” you ask him, trying to ignore the awkwardness between you two.
“Oh! I-I’m not here to order, I’m the new hire?” He tries to explain, but you can tell he feels a little unsure about being here at the cafe.
“Oh. Soonyoung right?”
“Yeah, that’s me, but uh- you can call me Hoshi,” he chuckles, scratching the back of his head.
The words ‘play it cool’ keep repeating in his mind as he continues to talk to you, not wanting to make a bad first impression with his gorgeous new coworker.
“Ah, I see, Hoshi,” you say apprehensively while nodding your head, yeah i’m not calling him that, you think to yourself.
Seokmin told you that the new hire would be coming in for his first shift today, but he didn’t mention anything other than that.
From first glance Soonyoung wasn’t the type of person you expected Seokmin to hire. His dark clothing, bright blond hair and piercings along his ears didn’t scream “barista”. The aura around him screamed men’s fashion influencer just from the way he dresses. Although his clothes were casual you could tell there was still thought put into his outfit, from the baggy dark wash jeans to his graphic tee and earrings.
“How about you come around the counter and clock in so we can get started,” you add as you finish placing the pastries into the display shelf.
Scratching the back of his head he walks over only to hover behind you, a meek expression washes over his face.
You turn to him with a quizzical eyebrow, not sure as to why he’s just standing there like a lost child in a supermarket.
“H-how exactly do you clock in?” Soonyoung mumbles while twiddling his thumbs.
“Seokmin didn’t show you where to clock in?” You question him.
There was a part of you that has a feeling that you might have to teach him every little thing around the cafe. When Seokmin told you the new hire was coming in today, you were hoping that they would at least have a little bit of background knowledge.
“U-uh no he pretty much hired me on the spot and told me to come in today,” he mutters, feeling a little embarrassed by your judgement, “this is actually my first job ever.”
“Ever?”
“Yeah, so I’m not sure why he even hired me, but I needed a job so I didn’t turn it down,” he continues, the blush on his soft cheeks becoming more apparent.
You sigh deeply, this shift is going to feel a lot longer than you initially thought. Knowing it’s his first job means that you’ll have to train him a little slower. As you walk to show him where to clock in you silently pray that he’s a fast learner.
Soonyoung can tell that you’re not excited to train him, and he feels bad that he doesn’t have the experience to be good at his job right away. But he’s determined to learn quickly, not wanting to disappoint you or Seokmin.
He spent most of his time in university being able to pay for his expenses from his dance scholarship and the little money he was given from his parents, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to fund his trip for him and his dance troupe’s upcoming competition.
They had entered a national competition taking place in Seattle and although the commute is only a two hour road trip, there were so many other fees that he couldn’t afford unless he found a way to earn money. Plus if he wanted to fund both his dance trip and tiger collection, it was either he get a job near his school or he would have to resort to selling feet pics online. But getting a job at the cafe seemed like the safer and more logical option.
“Well now that you’ve clocked in, this is your apron and the tag that Seokmin made you,” you inform him while handing him his things.
Soonyoung doesn’t say a word, only nodding while listening to you explain how everything works at the cafe.
“First we need you to learn all the drinks that we serve,” you explain, pushing the double doors that lead back to the main room of the building.
“Okay, I can do that, it can’t be that hard right?” Hoshi shrugs, trying his best to act nonchalant to mask his nervousness.
…
“Wait-No! That’s wrong,” your voice raises in panic as you watch Soonyoung put a fresh shot of espresso into the plastic to-go cup.
Freezing, his eyes go wide as his mouth forms an ‘O’ shape as you start to scramble with panic. The plastic starting to shrivel from the heat of the coffee.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t know it would melt!” he exclaims, pouring the contents into the sink.
It had been an hour of teaching Soonyoung how to make the drinks that were on the cafe menu, and he had somehow made a mistake every single step of the way. Thankfully today is a slower day in the cafe, allowing Soonyoung to observe your routine on serving customers.
“It’s fine, how about we take a break and I'll show you how to use the oven to heat the pastries,” you sigh with defeat.
Soonyoung’s face drops a little because he knows that he’s disappointed you. He wishes that he was good at his job the same way he is with dancing but his naturally good coordination and reflexes can only take him so far.
“If a customer asks for a pastry they can have the option for them to be toasted in the oven, you just need to use the tongs and place them onto the rack,” you explain, demonstrating the steps that you would usually take, “then you don’t want to set the timer for more than twenty seconds or it’ll burn.”
Soonyoung nods along, trying to follow your instructions closely, but he can’t help get distracted by your features. Your hair tied up, glasses perched on your nose as you try to concentrate. He knows that it’s important to pay attention but he can’t help but feel attracted to you. There was a certain familiarity to you that he couldn’t seem to pinpoint. He hasn’t felt like this about someone he just met ever, and it’s not helping that you’re the one teaching him how to do his job properly.
If he could stare at you during his whole shift instead of actually working, he would.
“Does everything make sense so far?” you pull him out of his thoughts, staring at him expectantly.
“Yeah, the pastry stuff seems like the most simple thing so far,” he comments, watching you put the croissant into a bag to eat after you’re off work.
“How about we go back to making more test drinks? Just so you can get the hang of it,” you offer, wanting him to get more practice just in case it’s a busy day the next time he comes in for a shift.
“Sure, you’re a great teacher by the way, I’m just new to all this,” he comforts you.
“Thanks, and don’t worry too much, you’ll get better with time,” you pat his shoulder.
You give him a smile of gratitude. The past few hours had you doubting your knowledge, patience, and teaching skills all at the same time. But his words of reassurance make you feel him warm inside.
The way Soonyoung’s cheeks puff as he smiles makes you giggle. There was something about his soft features that makes him so endearing, which makes you feel a little bad for raising your voice at him earlier while he was trying to learn.
Sure, he’s not the smartest when it comes to working at a cafe, but you have faith that he’ll be able to learn as time goes by. From the looks of it, Soonyoung seems determined to do better, that or he’s faking it. Either way, you owe it to Seokmin to show him everything you know.
Ⱄ a/n: i hope you enjoyed the teaser!! lmk what you think :)

Dancing in the Rain
(Jensen Ackles x You)
Jensen messed up, now he has to find a way to win you back.
Warnings - smidge of angst, plenty of fluff 🥰
The rain came down in torrents, drenching the streets of Vancouver. Y/N huddled under her umbrella, her heart pounding as she tried to make sense of what had just happened. Jensen Ackles, the charming actor she had admired from afar had just messed up big time.
They had met at a charity event, and sparks had flown instantly. Jensen’s smile had been like sunshine breaking through the clouds, and Y/N had felt herself falling. Their relationship blossomed with each passing day.
But, after a few months of dating, he’d said something thoughtless, something that had cut deep. And now, here they were, standing on opposite sides of the street, rain pouring down, their eyes locked in a silent battle.
Jensen had never been good with words. He was used to scripts and lines, but when it came to matters of the heart, he stumbled. He watched Y/N from across the street, her wet hair clinging to her face, her eyes stormy, the rain water mixing with her tears. He knew he had to fix this.
He crossed the street, his shoes splashing in puddles. “Y/N,” he said, his voice low. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean what I said. It was stupid, and I regret it.”
She looked at him, her expression guarded. “You hurt me,” she whispered. “I thought you were different.”
Jensen took a step closer, the rain soaking through his shirt. “I am different,” he said. “I’ve never met anyone like you. And I don’t want to lose you.”
Y/N’s heart wavered slightly. She had seen glimpses of vulnerability in Jensen’s eyes, and she wondered if he was sincere. But she couldn’t let herself be hurt again. “What are you going to do about it?” she challenged.
Jensen’s eyes sparkled. “I’m going to win you back,” he declared. “Starting now.”
And so, the grand gesture began. Jensen showed up at her doorstep with a bouquet of sunflowers, their bright yellow petals a stark contrast to the gray sky.
He took her to their favorite coffee shop, where they’d had their first awkward conversation. He even sang her a song, his voice raw and unpolished, but full of emotion. Y/n thought Jensen had gone to get them another drink, but instead she heard his voice echoing throughout the quaint coffee shop.
As she looked up to find where he was, she locked eyes with him standing on a small stage guitar resting on his thigh, "y/n, I know I messed up, but please believe me when I say I would do anything for you. Even get up and sing in front of these nice people".
Y/n's eyes widened as everyone turned to look at her, her cheeks glowing brighter than the sun. He started to strum the guitar and began to sing ........
How far will you go
You should know
You'll be on my mind
Said you were leavin'
But never said when you'd be comin' back home and
I can't wait another day
Cause you know
I'd go to the end of the world for you
If only
You return to me
Ride with me
Round the lakeside
Got a raincoat and a veil
It's been so long since you went away
Took all of your lovin' and left me with nothin' and
When you go
What a shame
Cause you know
I'd go to the end of the world for you
If only
You return to me
Oh, and maybe I deserved it
To be left this way
I'm not sure
How I was so blind
All I know is that if you return it
And kept it here to stay
I'd lose my mind
I'd lose my mind
Cause you know
I'd go to the end of the world for you
To the end of the world for you.....
The crowd in the coffee shop applauded as Jensen finished singing. He made his way back over to you and sat opposite you once again. "I meant it y/n, I'd go to the end of the world for you". You looked over to Jensen with tears in your eyes "I know you would. But you really hurt me Jay".
Jensen looked out the window of the coffee shop and noticed something that pulled at a memory. Something you had told him when you first met. An idea popped into his head. He held his hand out to you which you gracefully accepted. "Do you trust me y/n?" He asked staring down at you, with a pleading look in his eyes. You nodded and let him guide you out of the coffee shop.
Jensen led Y/N to an empty park, the rain starting to fall. He twirled her around, their laughter echoing in the misty air. They danced until they were both breathless, raindrops clinging to their eyelashes.
“I love you,” Jensen said, his voice cracking. “I love your passion, your kindness, your stubbornness. I love everything about you, I also remember you said you have always wanted to dance in the rain".
Y/N’s heart swelled. She kissed him, raindrops mixing with tears again. “I love you too,” she whispered. “But no more messing up, okay?”
Jensen nodded, pulling her close. “No more,” he promised. “Just us, dancing in the rain.”
And so, they danced as the rain fell down on them, showing their love was and will be stronger than any storm.

@underfalls-36
So, here's this 🥰 Idk if that's what you were wanting/envisioning/whatever but I hope it's at least a little up to snuff.
He woke up, in the dark and all alone.
The silence was stifling where it crushed down on him, spreading across his ribs and pressing in, in, in until panic was sparking fever-hot in his thoughts. And his breathing was so fucking loud in the quiet, puffing out of his long-healed broken nose in pitiful gasps until he thought to breathe through his mouth. He breathed as little as possible, as slowly as his panicking heart would allow for – trying to disappear.
His pulse hammered between his ears as he squinted his eyes shut. Tension crawled up his spine, sinking blunt teeth into the muscles of his neck and jaw before pooling heavily in his skull. He gritted his teeth, grinding them so hard his jaw hurt as he sucked air between his teeth.
That prey thing in his thoughts pulled a curl into his spine – protect his belly, hide his neck. All those soft, vital bits were necessary to keep on keeping on. A whine caught high in his throat.
Somewhere in the dark, there was a hollow thud, the rustle of fabric against the floor, a muffled curse.
There was a blind, desperate rush for the floor – the need to get as low to the ground as possible, to make himself a smaller target thundered alongside the throb of his pulse. Panic cinched around his ribs and yanked, barbing sharply against his already frayed nerves. He squinted his eyes shut tight, baring his teeth as his breath panted out of him.
Did he owe someone money?
A favor?
The floor was hard – unforgiving – under his curled fingers, his bony knees as he scrambled for the wall. His eyes burned, tears pearling under his lashes as his chest hitched.
Was his debt expected to be paid in blood and sweat?
In flesh?
His jaw clenched hard, his breath rattling out of him wetly as he pressed himself in the corner – too panicked to find anywhere else to hide. Tears slipped sluggish and hot, lazily, down his cheeks. He pulled his knees to his chest, dipping his face to press against the hard shelves of his kneecaps as he hugged his thighs. The position kept his lungs from filling fully, forcing him to slow his breathing as he hunched his shoulders around his ears.
Hidehidehide bounced off the curved inside of his skull.
He panted hard, trying to curl into himself until he disappeared.
The sound of something hitting the floor pulled Ford’s attention.
He was, perhaps, a little overprotective when it came to Stanley after the whole memory gun incident. While his twin had proven himself to be far more resilient than Ford had ever imagined, he still worried. His mind so helpfully offered up a comprehensive list of the most common health ailments that plagued men their age, never mind that Stan’s lifestyle increased those by almost double. Ford tried not to think about his twin’s homeless years, but it gnawed at him, directly related to a whole different set of health issues.
Anxiety, depression, substance abuse … he crammed that down and stomped on it.
Stanley was one of the bravest, the strongest people he knew. A hero. Whatever it was, they would face and defeat together. There wasn’t anything that could keep the Stan twins down.
“Stan,” Ford asked quietly, his brow furrowing as he opened the door to their shared cabin.
The bed was empty, the covers half off the mattress, but there was no Stan in sight. Given that they were currently anchored off Vancouver Island and that the windows only opened halfway, it was probable that Stan was still in the cabin, as Ford hadn’t passed him in the corridor. But there were a limited number of places to hide within the cabin, and Stanley wasn’t exactly diminutive in stature.
Frowning, Ford stepped into the room a little further.
“Stanley,” he cautioned, a little louder.
The floor creaked under his boots, coaxing a soft whine from the shadows of the room, and he … broke. He stumbled into the cabin, ungainly and awkward like Ford was thirteen all over again as he tripped over his own two feet. Ford rounded the foot of the bed and drew to a stop because Stanley was crowded into the corner of their cabin, partially hidden by the small nightstand. His brother’s chest hitched pitifully as he curled in against his knees, seemingly trying to make himself smaller in the pool of pre-dawn shadows.
Another muted whimper cracked out into the quiet of the cabin.
His chest tightened almost painfully because Ford wanted nothing more than to bundle Stanley up in his arms and keep him safe. He swallowed hard, uncertain of how to proceed. Ford stepped slowly around the bed, edging closer at a snail’s pace.
Irrationally, Ford kept waiting for Stan to jump up, to flash a broad grin, to yell kidding, but he never did. And Ford was just creeping forward slowly, his attention honed in on his twin – cut off at the knees and desolate where Stanley was curled into the corner.
Ford had told himself, convinced himself that Stanley had been … fine, once Pa kicked him out.
Of the two of them, Stan had always been the more social one, the more street savvy one. He’d understood the delicate nuances of social interaction, the tactless sexual contracts made between adults, the acceptable societal lies people absorbed. And while Stanley had been young when he’d left home, he’d been persistent and smart.
It was … difficult for Ford to reconcile the idea of Stan with the idea of the younger twin living his best life like a Lost Boy with the reality that Stan had once been a homeless child and was currently curled into the corner of their cabin, dressed only in boxers and a wifebeater. The younger twin had always been loud and brash; it was strange to see him so subdued.
And yet, Stan was curling further into the corner – trying to make himself as small as humanly possible.
Static crackled in his brain at that.
“Lo siento, lo siento,” Stan whispered breathily, curling in on himself further as his shoulders hunched up around Stanley’s ears.
“It’s alright,” he murmured softly, dropping carefully to his knees beside his twin.
Ford braced himself against the somewhat expected hurt of Stan whining and curling further in on himself, crushing into the corner desperately, but still it hurt. Stanley hunched up, protecting all the vulnerable areas of his body – his head, his throat, and his stomach. It still hurt desperately, aching and festering under his sternum but Ford shuffled backward on his knees, hands raised in surrender.
“Okay, okay,” he whispered as he shuffled backward. “It’s okay, Stan,” Ford promised quietly, quickly as he spread a hand on Stan's bicep.
A soft, breathy whine was his response as Stanley buried his face against his knees, hugging at his thighs a bit desperately.
Ford scooted backward until he was able to catch hold of their quilt, dragging it close before he started across the floor once more. Stanley was as close to the corner as was humanly possible, which posed a significant problem about swaddling him up. It took more than a little coaxing for Stan to peel away from the corner enough for Ford to tuck the thick edges of the quilt in around his brother to the best of his ability before he carded his fingers through Stan’s thick, silvered hair.
He scraped his nails gingerly against Stan’s skull, gently tugging him further into the cradle of his arms. It took a lot of coaxing to get Stanley to rest against his chest, even more so for his little brother to calm down. Stan whined sharp and quiet, his fingers curling hard in Ford’s sweater and subsequently his sides.
“You’re okay,” Ford mumbled, trying to swallow down his wince. Stan’s blunt fingers dug hard into Ford’s sweater, whimpers trickling out of Stanley pitifully as he pushed his face into Ford’s shoulder, pressing closer.
“You’re okay,” he murmured, tipping his head down just enough to press his face into Stan’s messy hair. Ford was suddenly reminded of so many moments just like that one, only in reverse where Stan had spent countless hours soothing Ford back from the sharp edge of a panic attack. He would wait as long as Stanley needed. His other half deserved that, at the very least.
“We’ll just sit here,” Ford whispered softly, smoothing his fingers through Stanley’s hair. “For as long as you need.”

EM: Italy had been a whirlwind of an experience - Emily was lucky enough to get time off from shooting in Vancouver, aboard a private jet and set up in a hotel by the bride-to-be herself to help with dress picking - but the blonde would be remiss to not use it as an opportunity to find a way to see John. Considering that he was holed up closer to Italy than she was, it felt like a no-brainer. Things had been momentarily okay for both of them, with their new method of trying not to let the stress of trying get to them. With what little time they had together these days, focusing on being frustrated or overthinking it all could wait. A way easier concept to grasp when John showed up at her hotel room door with a weekend bag and was nearly dragged inside by the front of his shirt. That was last night, by the time morning rolled around, Emily was comfortably half on top of the actor underneath the large duvet of the king bed. Clothes were strewn in a straight path from the main area of the hotel to the bedroom door, the only exception being his t-shirt from last night as the only thing she was wearing. Face nuzzled into his neck, ignoring the stubble scratching the tip of her nose, the blonde lightly groaned under her breath to get the sleep out of her voice. “Is today the staying-in day, or the gallivanting day?” It was clear in her mind which she wanted to do, her plans centered around just staying like this. “You’re the guest, you pick.”
JOHN: To say that John felt an overwhelming sense of bliss and calm would be an understatement as morning came around and he held Emily in his embrace. Arm curled around her and keeping her close into his side, he let out a contented sigh when he heard her rousing and felt the Italian sunshine come in through the window and caress his face. Things hadn’t been easy for the two of them over the past few months, with the distance between them and their failed attempts at trying, but right now they felt pretty good as he hummed thoughtfully and pressed a kiss to the top of his wife’s head. “I’m gonna be the lazy guest and suggest we gallivant tomorrow,” he mused. “I don’t feel like sharing you with Italy just yet, and you look so good strewn about in this bed.”
EM: That was exactly the answer she’d wanted to hear, evidenced in the satisfied noise of approval against his skin. “Good thinking,” she agreed, fingers trailing lightly over the middle of his chest, “I don’t want to be shared either. If it were up to me, I say we never get up again.” It was a tempting idea once she started thinking about it, but one that she seriously could see them doing. Bridesmaid duties wrapped for now, nowhere to be until her husband had to fly back to his set the way she had to hers, couldn’t they just enjoy this a little bit more? “Just you,” a kiss up to his jawline between each pause, marking another item on her list, “me, maybe room service if you work up enough of an appetite.”
JOHN: “Mmmm,” came murmured softly and with the tilt of John’s head to the side so that Emily’s kisses were better aimed toward his mouth. He returned the affection gently and then with a little more fervor with each kiss, happy to take things slow when they had time to enjoy one another but also always anxious for more. “Sounds a lot like the morning after our wedding night,” he mused, thinking back fourteen years ago to white lace and a suit both eagerly removed. They were back in Italy, after all, the land where their forever began, it made sense to reflect as his hand slid down to stroke at her waist with his thumb. He was so in love with her, all over again, and it made him crave the moment that the words “it’s a wrap!” were finally called on his set back in Liverpool. He could only hope, wish and dream that would happen before long.
EM: “I’m surprised you can even remember that morning.” Talk about a whirlwind, all that time so many years ago was even more so. But Emily remembered it fondly too, even if they were so drunk on each other that it made her dizzy in hindsight. Capturing his lips once more, she was only taken slightly out of her element by the sound of his phone vibrating on the bedside table. A brief buzz against wood before it ended, it was only short-lived before it started up again. At that, the actress groaned into his mouth. “Your reality check is calling,” she teased with a little laugh, blue eyes narrowing playfully at her husband before finally pulling back, “better answer it and tell them you’re busy with your wife.”
JOHN: John groaned too, the last thing he wanted to do was speak to anyone other than the woman he had his arms wrapped around. Still, part of the deal of being away from set was being on call, and it must have been something important if it broke through his phone’s DND setting that he only had switched off for the most important business. And it was, he was quick to realize as he pressed his cell to his ear. It was his publicist, and for a moment he thought maybe he’d been papped coming into Italy – what a sin – but it was so much worse. “I… yeah? The Abbotts? No, that’s… I’ll talk to her. Uh, leave it to me.” He glanced across at Emily as the news unfolded, before hanging up and setting the phone aside, stomach dropping as he reeled over what he’d just heard. “There’s another article. Blind item. Whatever they call it,” he said, reaching across to brush back errant blonde hair. “My publicist is saying it all points to us. Do you want me to show it to you, or just tell you the gist?”
EM: Emily settled back on her side of the bed as John reached for his cell phone, one arm tucked underneath her head as the other adoringly ran through the side of his hair. She was still slowly waking up, but as she watched the expression on his profile change, that was all the more reason to further wake up. “What’s wrong?” Were the first words out of her mouth, eyebrows raised as John explained what it was he was related on the phone. The look of confusion on her face only grew at that. “Blind item?” Now propped up on her elbow, Emily held her hand out for John’s phone. “Did he send it to you? I’ll just read it.”
JOHN: “Okay,” John said, stomach twisting as he handed over the phone, open to the message that contained a link to the… whatever it was. They’d certainly been the victims of such talk before, him about his off-camera behavior and the both of them about a speculated pending divorce, none of which proved to be remotely true. But still, this one seemed to hit home the worst of all, even if most of their closest friends already knew about their struggles, both with fertility and his absence. He couldn’t help but dread Emily’s response as he pulled the duvet back up over his chest and watched her read.
EM: The blonde took the phone and sat fully upright, still nestled with her hip against his side. Every sentence that she’d read on the dimly lit screen only had her heart twisting uncomfortably in her chest. How could anything like this make it into a bigger platform? They were being discretionary with who they were revealing this info to, and off the top of her head, anyone that she’d told wouldn’t go to a gossip site like this and leak it. Or at least she thought. “Wow,” she murmured at the end of reading it, swiping back to the numerous texts that his publicist had blown his phone up with, “that…isn’t subtle at all, really.” She opened the article again, as if reading it for a third time would somehow change the contents, before glancing over at John. “Is this a joke?”
JOHN: “Stop reading it.” Phone gently taken back and set to the side, John knew that Emily had a tendency to dwell on the worst and hated that he’d played some part in bringing the article into her heart and mind. He wound his arm around her tightly and tried to think of an answer to her question but everything seemed wrong before it even came count, nothing felt right. Eventually, he landed on: “It’s a joke that someone we know would share that information, yeah. Tell me what you’re thinking?” There was no way that either was leaving this situation feeling unscathed. The intimacy of it all couldn’t and wouldn’t be ignored, the way they’d been called out on their worst fears stung to no end and it felt like all of the softness from before had been zapped from the room. It was the last thing they needed, to be reminded of their shortcomings and, at least in John’s case, to be reminded of how he was letting his family down as the filming season dragged on and on. “Because this… you can’t… you know how we feel about bullshit like this.”
EM: Her hands fell to her lap after John gently reached for his phone back, still trying to wrap her head around how anybody would have the gall to send something like that in. He was hugging her closer to him, and she was struggling to just be as level-headed about this as him considering the circumstances. Being in the public eye always meant things like this would happen, and they had before, but not in regard to something so personal as this. “This is too far,” she clarified, wiggling out of his attempt at comforting her to reach for her own phone on the nightstand, “like, absurdly too far, John.” Unsurprisingly, her own notifications were increasing as she furiously started typing question after question to her publicist. “I don’t understand how you could be so calm about this, it’s a massive invasion of privacy.”
JOHN: “I’m not… I don’t feel calm, Em.” John wanted so badly to reach for her again, to tear her away from her phone and into his arms but he knew that it wasn’t the time. He knew that Emily needed to wrap her head around what had happened and mourn whatever belief she held in her heart before that people wouldn’t go so far. Of course they would. Female fertility was at the height of interest in the media, and who didn’t love a story about how a guy wasn’t doing enough to deserve his gorgeous wife? It was pointed and hurtful and he would rage himself if he didn’t think that would be letting them win. “I don’t know what we’re supposed to do. Fight back against anonymous media?” His phone dinged again, and he sighed. “Can we just… turn them off while we figure this out?”
EM: Emily’s eyes remained down at her phone as she continued half-fuming over this with her husband, not getting any satisfactory answer from her publicist. Nobody was going to be able to trace this, no one ever could, but she could just imagine the buzz this was going to create and wanted to scream. As her team made an effort to appease her and promise to look more into this in little blue text bubbles on her phone, Emily finally looked back up at John with a frown. He was right, he always was, and she couldn’t find it in her to be mad at him for anything he was suggesting. Reluctantly, she locked her phone and held it out for him to take and turn off. “I don’t know what we’re supposed to do here. It’s just…so weird and intrusive.”
JOHN: Grabbing Emily’s phone and his own to turn off and set to the side, John sighed. There was no answer to the dilemma of what to do at a time like this. Any statement from them would only draw further attention to the matter, even if it felt like they had a right to speak. As far as the internet and almost everyone reading it thought, anyway, it was bullshit. It just so happened that it was, at least in part, true for once. He hesitantly placed his hands atop of Emily’s, stroking her thumbs with his own. “It’s disgusting,” he agreed. “And it’s not – we find time for each other, plenty of it, and there will be more of it to come.” A pause came, then, in passionate tone: “We will have this baby. You know that, right? So all of this is just… God, we’re not even close to childless, Emily. Whoever wrote this is so far off, and no friend of ours.”
EM: The blonde intertwined their fingers together on top of the duvet, eyebrows knitted together as she listened to him. Every part of that whatever item was bad, and with how the internet worked, she was positive this wasn’t going to be the last they heard of it. “And when we do? This circles back around and we have to field more awkward talk about how much we struggled?” The last thing she’d want is to have to keep reliving the disappointment, the frustration, even when the big if they could get pregnant again actually happened. She hated being distrusting of anyone in her inner circle, but it crept up her throat and settled behind it. “I don’t want to have to keep having this conversation with you, J. We will and it’ll happen and…it’s exhausting. And then you come back at me with asking me if I still want this, and every time it’s…just a further and further away goal.”
JOHN: “So we’re going to let a random hater on the internet decide whether we’re having a baby?” John asked, not angry so much as resigned at this point. “I’m not gonna repeat myself, no, but we should probably set some clarity on our intentions. I mean, you’re right, people are going to have an insight into our lives that we never wanted them to, now, but that doesn’t mean...” He shook his head, then, because the further and further they got into this the more that he wanted to go back to bed, go back to before he’d answered the call. The more he thought about it all the more angry he did start to feel, despite his desire to be the calm one in the midst of this storm, and his eyes cast downward at their hands as his own itched to grab his phone and send out a tweet, or something, begging the internet to give them a break that he’d never actually ask for and would never really come. Whatever he managed to gain now, it would be too late, anyway, and so he just found himself nodding instead.
EM: “It doesn’t seem like it’s only that one thing being an obstacle, love.” Part of her wished it was as simple as one person or thing dictating their inability right now, but the reality of the matter was that it was both out of their hands. Having their noses rubbed in that fact just stung even more. She broke one hand away from his to gently move his face, back up in her direction. “We agreed we’d have this be…low pressure, low stakes, whatever happens, happens. I think we just lean into that a little further, have our PR teams handle this and…let everything happen the way it’s going to. Okay?” As angry and as betrayed as she felt, Emily knew it wasn’t going to serve them well. Both between them, or out in the world. She lifted the back of his hand up to kiss, an attempt to both self-soothe and soothe him. “If it’s meant to happen, it’ll happen. Promise.”
JOHN: John couldn’t meet Emily’s eyes. At the end of the day, she was right, in everything she said and suggested and promised. But that didn’t mean that he didn’t feel wholly inadequate, wondering if it was him causing the fact they were unable to conceive and, even more so, if there was any truth in the fact that he simply wasn’t around enough to begin with. Maybe he was just failing all around, as a husband and father. He wished he could say so aloud without betraying what they’d previously discussed about him finding another outlet for his hurt. He didn’t want to burden her more than he already had with things out of her control, after all. “If it’s meant to happen, it’ll happen,” he echoed after a long pause, voice gravelly with emotion that surprised even him. “We, uh, shouldn’t let it ruin our time together.”
EM: The blonde watched her husband carefully, thumb running over his cheek as she breathed out in agreement. This was hard on both of them, especially since the snippet lightly shoved Emily and seriously pummeled John. It wasn’t fair to him, and he was going to take this one hard no matter what. She kissed the back of his hand again, letting her lips linger against his skin before mumbling against it. “No, we should not. We’re in Italy, we’re together, that’s what matters.” Fingers running through his hair, Emily tried to briefly lighten the mood. “I can put the lingerie back on, that might get your mind off of everything other than me. Maybe to a dangerous degree, even.”
JOHN: “Oh yeah?” A hungry gaze lifted to meet Emily’s, she sure did know how to switch John’s focus from one thing to her and her alone. There was still a soft ache in his chest that he didn’t think any amount of lovemaking would cause to go away, but the last thing he was going to do was ever reject the offer of his wife, particularly in the bridal white lingerie that she’d gifted him for their anniversary. He leaned in to kiss her, sliding his fingers into her hair and letting out a soft sigh of relief against her mouth. Maybe things would be okay, after all, even if okay looked very different to what they had envisioned months ago when they’d agreed to start trying. Maybe the only thing they had control over was today, this room, and one another. “I love you, Em,” he reminded her, punctuated with kiss after kiss. “I love you so much.”
EM: “Oh, yeah.” She smiled gently back at him, glad to know that at least that was one way to get him looking at her. Meeting him halfway was easy, only dropping his hand in favor of holding both sides of his face. Hiding within each other like this, in a secluded space where they could just be and pretend like the world wasn’t trying to knock down their door was easy. Amongst each other, they could be reminded of what was really important in this life and try to find the brighter side of it. “I love you,” she mumbled, laughing against his lips for a brief moment before pulling herself back. “Did you really want that little number back on?” Her gaze drifted back to that familiar path of clothing leading out of (or into) the room. “Or do you think this is sexy enough to have your way with me in? I know nothing’s hotter to you than the Red Sox, so that might have been a dumb question.”
JOHN: “Definitely a dumb question...” More kisses came before John finished his thought, sliding his hand up and under the shirt and cupping Emily’s breast beneath the familiar fabric. “You’ve never looked hotter,” he assured her, and he meant it, because every moment shared together she only seemed to get more sexy, regardless of what she was, or wasn’t, wearing. He’d said it before and he’d continue to say it again: he’d married up and into the best relationship of his whole life. So much of what came earlier in the form of a call fell away as he gently eased her back onto the plush mattress, then kissed his way down her neck and across her clavicle while murmuring words of endless affection.

I know Cam is in Vancouver but do you now WHERE he is, like in his pics where he posted ?
Like, where he's currently staying? I wouldn't know something like that. The other actors and crew have posted from their apartments and such but he hasn't. What you're seeing in his latest instagram pics is most likely his trailer. They all seem to have similar windows with blinds and recessed lighting.
Also, he's got his film camera with him... that's cool. I would love for him to share more bts from the set with us.

Window Blinds Vancouver
From Functionality to Style: Expert Tips for Choosing the Perfect window Blinds
Selecting the right Blinds North Vancouver for your home is a crucial decision that can greatly impact your space's overall look and feel. Blinds not only serve a functional purpose by controlling the amount of light and privacy in a room, but they also contribute to the style and aesthetic of your home.
With so many options available, it can be overwhelming to choose the perfect blinds that meet both your functional and style needs.
To help you make an informed decision, we have compiled a list of expert tips for selecting the right blinds for your home.
i. Consider the Functionality
Before diving into the world of colours, patterns, and materials, it is important to consider the functionality of the blinds. Think about the purpose of the blinds in each room.
Do you need complete darkness in your bedroom? Do you want to filter the sunlight in your living room? Understanding the functional requirements will help you narrow down your options.
For bedrooms, blackout blinds or curtains are popular as they block out light and provide maximum privacy. Roller blinds with light-filtering or sheer fabrics are ideal for living areas, as they allow some natural light to enter while maintaining privacy.
ii. Choose the Right Material
Window Blinds Vancouver is available in a wide range of materials, each with unique characteristics and benefits. The most common materials include wood, faux wood, aluminum, and fabric.
Wooden blinds add a touch of elegance and warmth to any space. They are durable and offer excellent light control.
Faux wood blinds, on the other hand, are a more budget-friendly option that replicates the look of real wood while being resistant to moisture and warping.
Aluminum blinds are lightweight, easy to clean, and perfect for modern, minimalist interiors.
Fabric blinds provide a soft and cozy feel and come in various colours and patterns to complement any decor.
iii. Consider the Style and Aesthetic
Blinds play a significant role in enhancing the style and aesthetic of your home. They are available in various colours, patterns, and textures, allowing you to create a cohesive look that matches your taste and existing decor.
Choose blinds in neutral colours like white, beige, or gray for a contemporary and clean look. These shades blend seamlessly with any decor style, making the room more spacious.
If you want to add a pop of colour or make a bold statement, opt for blinds in vibrant hues or patterns that complement the room's overall colour scheme.
iv. Consider Motorization
In today's modern world, motorized Roller Blinds Vancouver has become increasingly popular.
Motorization allows you to control your blinds with the touch of a button or through a smartphone app, providing convenience and ease of use. This feature is particularly beneficial for hard-to-reach windows or individuals with mobility issues.
v. Consult with Experts
Choosing the perfect blinds can be overwhelming, especially with the abundance of options available. To ensure you make the right decision, don't hesitate to consult with experts in the field.
Professional blind specialists can guide you through the selection process, provide valuable advice, and recommend blinds that best suit your needs and preferences.
In conclusion:
Selecting the perfect blinds for your home involves considering the functionality, material, style, and safety features.
