I love LOVE all the parallels between the three of them so much.
From their characterizations and their priorities,
Seth is exceedingly passionate. He cares a lot about the safety of every person and values his morals above all else. Yes, he's narrow-minded and stubborn, but he puts his 110% into everything he does. Because, to him, everything matters.
Jane is a schemer whose charisma is her greatest weapon.
Harumsa is a self-loathing pessimist under the facade of a snarky jokester.
Both him and Jane are tricksters that slink around the enemies with every dirty trick they know so long as it's effective/efficient. They lie and manipulate people if need be. They're obviously physically capable as well but they often rely on their words and their 'people skills' more than their fighting prowess.
Even so their methods sort of manifests in opposite directions.
Jane prefers to get up close and personal with her targets. She bides her time and turns their trust in her against them.
Harumasa prefers to strike from a distance and oftentimes doesn't even bother to get his hands dirty if he could help it.
The facades they wear are also out of different reasons, where one is more professional and another is personal. And yet, those carefully crafted walls would crumble at One stupid catboy (affectionate).
On a deeper level,
Seth happened to attract the most under-handed strategists and a large part of that, to me, is because of just how earnest he is that Jane and Harumasa become so easily endeared.
Something about that purity and naivety feels exceptionally different, it's unique and hopeful and bright, and it's everything they want to protect. It's almost contagiously positive that it gives them a bit of hope too. Especially for Jane, as she studies criminal activities and psychology on a daily basis, and Harumasa for... obvious reasons.
And I think that those feelings of admiration are entirely mutual. Seth might not fully know everything about Jane or Harumasa, but that immense respect translates into his trust for them. Between the teasing and jokes, there's a sincerity of 'I adore you for you and nothing else'. Even if it's not something he could explicitly decipher into comprehensive words, it's still felt.

So where does the desire to become a robot girl come from? Well...

1. I'm in my Baroness stealth armor (I don't really have Baroness stealth armor, but anything is possible in comics.) and addressing the reader. Me: What kind of weirdo would want to become a robot? Me: Um … me.

MINI MENACE ERA: COLLEGE KIDS
I have a part two that I’ll add to a reblog of this sometime, but here’s the first part for their college days! I couldn’t draw everything I wanted to, so more blabbering and elaboration under the cut!
Since this AU has turned into a fanfiction based off the concept art, the characterizations and roles of the characters can be pretty detached from canon- so just a disclaimer for that. Canon is merely a suggestion- and I’m not listening to it most of the time.

SUMMARY (and some extra details) OF THE HEADCANONS DRAWN: (since I am too lazy to do my full transcript tonight)
Sabine and Pia have been best friends since they were 13. Pia knows she’s Ladybug, and the two work together at Master Fu’s shop.
Pia knows that Fu has the turtle miraculous and makes sure he’s not overworking himself in his superhero retirement.
Sabine’s an open book with her emotions, doubly so when she was younger in college. Her fuse is short, and she’ll say one of her flaws is her pettiness. 
Andre is the estranged son of a corrupt politician that works with Richard Sphinx. His dad originally paid for his tuition (to keep Andre away from him) but eventually cuts that off when he officially disowned him.
He and Audrey met like once at a social event years ago. Andre does not remember this, Audrey does but only because she thought his suit was so fucking ugly.
Audrey is the daughter of a Pergue (Sphinx’s company) investor. She eventually gets an ultimatum to get married, or else all her cards and cash get cut off.
Remembering “Ugly Suit” Andre has recently lost his dad’s tuition money, she asks him to marry her in return for her paying for his school. Andre becomes a trophy wife on paper, and the two never get closer than that. She writes his checks, he doesn’t get into scandals- easy!
Gabriel’s dream was to have his own atelier and specialize in lace products. His designs really push the limits of lace and beadwork. (He’s a huge nerd.) He never wanted a big brand.
Emilie has a crush on him and tries to talk to him often. Gabriel is conflicted between talking to the pretty girl in his class and interacting with the daughter of the enemy. 
Emilie dresses eccentrically. Half of the time it’s costumes for theatre events, and the other half is her own style. (You can never tell which is which though- she’s always dressed like a time traveller.)
Otis is in the same econ class as Sabine and befriends her (Nathalie and Emilie are also in that class but they don’t interact with Otis or Sabine) and mentions her to Tom as a “girl he’d like.” Tom insists that’s what Otis says about every girl with a bob and a fringe.
Tom first sees Sabine that same day bursting in the bakery to ask for cookies while in a frenzy. Otis says it is the calmest he’d ever seen her. 
Amelie has a huge crush on Nathalie, who is an intern assistant for Richard Sphinx. She refuses to act on her crush…as Amelie anyways ;)
MISC HEADCANONS FOR COLLEGE MM ERA:
Sabine, Pia, Otis, Andre, and Gabriel are the group for the longest time. They’re not all that close to the Sphinx twins in the beginning, but they get integrated into the group once Gabriel and Emilie start dating
How they all met/ some dynamic notes:
 Sabine and Pia were childhood friends
Tom and Otis were friends since in high school
Tom befriended Andre when he became a regular at the bakery
Sabine met Gabriel and Emilie in their shared fashion courses
Amelie and Nathalie have so many common classes bc of their shared majors
Sabine, Pia, Otis, and Andre would study and hangout at the bakery, Tom would feed them
Sabine and Otis are the outspoken ones in the group, they bond over complaining. 
Everyone admires Tom’s boundless optimism, the freebie baked goods are just a bonus
Andre and Sabine are unexpectedly close. Her rough, and oftentime bad, jokes get both of them to laugh until their stomachs hurt. No one else finds them funny, but they find the twos’ laughter contagious.
Gabriel and Pia like to work in silence together, they’re both grateful someone else favors a more quiet setting to focus
Sabine is originally intimidated by Emilie’s enthusiastic and extroverted nature, but they eventually bond over fashion designs even before the Sphinx twins join the group
MISC CONT:
Sabine’s designs are more conceptual and abstract, often trying to emulate feelings or experiences. Can seem a little scrappy to some, but sturdy compositions. She also thinks about ways to integrate her pieces into performance art works.
Gabriel’s designs are based on pushing technical craftsmanship, mostly detailwork. The pieces can seem fragile or delicate because of their meticulousness. They usually have some historical influence, but don't look for accuracy. 
Emilie’s designs show off her theatre inspirations, and are often very costumey in nature. Similar to Gabriel, she enjoys historical influence, but isn’t as detail oriented as him. She favors exaggerating the historical features of costumes and playing around with silhouettes.
Amelie often “runs into” Nathalie while she’s out patrolling as Chat Noir. The two get closer when she’s transformed, and Nathalie develops a crush on Stray.
HOW THEY GOT THEIR MIRACULOUS (and reasons for fighting Pergue):
Sabine Cheng: got from her late grandfather when she was a teenager. Fights for revenge for his death and the other victims of Sphinx’s crimes.
Otis Cesaire: got it from an old mentor. Hates Pergue’s monopoly of businesses and services.
Gabriel Agreste: found brooch in his great-grandmother’s sewing box. Believes that Sphinx has the other half of a missing tapestry of his great-grandmother’s.
Emilie Sphinx: got the broken peacock miraculous from her dad. Works for Sphinx when transformed.
Amelie Sphinx: got it as a family heirloom from her mother before she passed. Wants to see her father fall.
Andre Bourgeois: his paternal grandmother gave it to him. Wants to expose the corrupt politicians  and investors like his father that collaborate and fund Pergue.

Act 4 - The Doubt

"Arriving in the Fourth Act, Cuno is officially furthest from his home that he's ever been, while Cunoesse is coming nearer to hers than she has been in the years after she escaped, and this [distinction?] is starting to get difficult to ignore. The presence of Hämärä Maa looms over them both, as the fabled archipelago lies just across the bay, across the [...]. Having disembarked from the Train virtually in the middle of nowhere, Cuno and Cunoesse come upon the Rhöne-Tréville (Royal) Penal Colony or the Tréville, but most people call it: a [...] centred around a former Royalist prison-labor camp. Being that geographically [...] to Hämärä Maa, the small community represents the closest point of contact between the archipelago and the world, participating in the trade of goods, legends and the profitable psychedelic marrow of an endemic cave fish. Meeting the locals, the kids will learn about the impending relocation of the surprisingly harmonious community-sustaining prison complex, and the complicated [...] between the coordinate [...] of freedom, imprisonment, community and [reunion? tension?]. They will also begin on their [...] is a growing sense of dread that Cunoesse got herself into something that is much darker and more morbid than he could have expected. In order to progress to Hämärä Maa to find out for themselves, the kids must [...]. [...] they must [...] Cunoesse's half remembered [...] family connections among the marrow traders, some of whom are now in the prison, or they might win their way forward with [...] and sneers, stealing a toy raft from a gang of violent girl children."
Player experience
[...] begin to suspect we are approaching a sinister [...] with the things we've been avoiding all along.

The power balance between Cuno, Cunoesse and the player's conscience will again be tested as Cunoesse urges Cuno to brutally fight one of the Tréville girls in order to steal her raft.
The small self-sustaining community will present the player with the opportunity to engage with the full set of game systems, including game economy, Thoughts, substances, exploration and multiple-approach problem-solving.
Act 5 - The Arrival

Summary

"After all the fear and the mayhem, Cuno and Cunoesse are finally there: landing on the shores of Hämärä Maa, their promised shadow-land. Greeted with the sounds of shamanic singing and solemn drums, the kids will catch the locals in the midst of a funeral ceremony, gaining a glimpse into both the cultural practices of the Näkki and the strange and colorful faces of the island's population. The island has changed since Cunoesse has last called it home. Only her impossibly old grandfather remains, and her [sins?]. She knows she must do one last thing before she can plead to be readmitted into her tribe. Under the pretense of a Hämärän naming ceremony, Cunoesse pressures Cuno into ingesting the bone marrow of the psychedelic cave fish. As Cunoesse takes on the role of his fucked-up trip shaman, Cuno grapples with the growing clarity that her goal is deeply sinister: to bind him to herself, or kill them both trying. Cunoesse embraces him and throws them both off a pier, pulling him deep under water, triggering the stylish climax sequence of the game: the Underwater Psychedelic Trip. Reality will [...] as you seemingly sink for an eternity, fighting for your life and your identity as Cunoesse's true intentions come to light - to use the drug to manipulate Cuno into total and irrevocable ego death, and make him believe that he is Jaakko, the boy Cunoesse killed in the caves three years prior. That was her plan all along: to bring Cuno all the way from Martinaise to buy herself passage back into her community by replacing what she has broken. All she needs him to do now in order for her plan to work is to play along, *really* play along, so deeply that he will never recall being someone else ever again. Their showdown under water will determine whether Cuno will let go of his identity in one [...], or if he is willing to kill his other half in order to remain who he is. The Act spins off into up to five possible endings, depending on which one of the kids lives, dies or is brainwashed."
Player experience
We want a sense of culmination in every way -- the culmination the journey, of finally getting to see what Hämärä Maa is truly like and what Cunoesse truly is.
This should be a streamlined sequence, funneling the player [seamlessly] towards the end. We want the player to be unable to [...] the game once they've landed on Hämärä Maa, similarly to how Harry's story spirals tighter and tighter towards its resolution from the moment he steps onto the Deserter's Island.
We want the player to feel as if they are performing cultural [contact?] with an ominous insular community, something like Midsommar but with degenerate alcoholics instead of tradwives.
This is where everything we've tried to do over the course of the game comes to count. All the dual-character systems that make the player roleplay as both Cuno & Cunoesse, all the story beats that make the player internalise their respective stakes, all the emotional connection to this feral superorganism, if we can make the player feel like we're making them choose between two halves of themselves, we've achieved what we set out to do. If they feel torn apart, agonized over their choices, we've won.

This time let's circle back to equity later and focus on some basics! What's up with TAILS?
Transcript under the cut:
1. First of all, why do the people in a setting even need tails? Humans don't have tails for a number of reasons, we don't chase prey so we don't need it to help us change direction like a rudder. We also don't climb trees so we don't need one for keeping hold of branches or for balance. But in a world of megafauna, maybe you need a tail to help you turn fast to flee? Or maybe a hunter needs a rudder to swim? But most importantly!! It's fun & helps your people feel unique!

Think about why species in a setting might have tails and perhaps you will think of something that adds depth to your world… For warmth, like a blanket! To increase visibility when foraging! For Combat!!!

2. Clothing is the main issue I see brought up when discussing tails & Furgonomics. many solutions can be found when looking at furry artwork, so look around! The only solution i'd say is not valid is…The belt under the tail.

A tail would sit far too low to comfortably wear trousers there, imagine wearing yours below the pelvis at your hips? Even with a belt that is far too risqué! The best solutions all put the waistband above the tail and either have a hole for the tail or in the case of clothing like dresses and skirts allow the tail to sit freely beneath.

In my setting of Firnus different cultures have their own designs to fit environmental needs. The Gilter braghe is a sleeveless trouser designed with modesty in mind. compare this to the rav breechcloth, made for wearing under robes. Or avoid the tail hole all together and beat the heat with the pantheran quarter sarong!
3. So where else can tails be a problem…? CHAIRS.

most people are going to jump immediately to seats like these:
But i'm going to make my case as to why this would not be comfortable: See this dog skeleton to the right? When a quadrupedal animal sits, they don't rest on their upper legs or put any pressure on their fragile tails, Instead they rest on their hocks & hind feet! Why? Exactly as we discussed with trousers, tails wouldn't go out, they'd go down. As part of the spine, if you wanted to sit back in a chair your spine would be vertical.

…So, I believe anthro species wouldn't want to put pressure on their tails by sitting on them… So we cut a hole out from the bottom and back of the chair, right? Yes! and no. Yes because when you're world building you can do whatever works best for you! But no because I'm not satisfied with this answer and I'm driving this PNG!!!! So how do we fix this? Let's see why chairs even exist in the first place!

4. The earliest (known) chairs come from the 2nd dynasty of Egypt during the Thinite period. These chairs were as short at the seat as 10 inches! …But like, Why? as a status symbol! These caught on as nobility wished to copy kings, and then the common people copied nobility. They're also useful to keep your clothes clean and prevent you from resting on cold or wet ground.

But we don't need kings!! If you want something for similar use without those connotations. Here's some options:

Kneeling! While many cultures use this to show reverence, few still kneel for comfort.
Benches and stools! Before chairs became affordable for the average person simpler furnishings were commonly used. These don't have tricky tail holes to fumble around with and can be as simple as a plank.

Updated! A few days ago the contract Crowley signs in S1 came up on discord. Being the crazy person that I am, I set on the quest of finding out what it actually says. I couldn't make out everything, especially at the end where Crowley's hand and the sparks obscure the lines but I made out most of it (transcript below the break).

One of the things I like the most is that the contract specifically says "Anthony Crowley of Mayfair, London." In the book, Hastur tells Crowley not to use that name: "No. Not A. J. Crowley. Your real name.” Crowley nodded mournfully, and drew a complex, wiggly sigil on the paper. It glowed redly in the gloom, just for a moment, and then faded."
Interesting things:
The contract is referred to as "the Agreement" - HA!
The contract is between Hastur and Ligur ("the Customer") and Crowley ("the Service Provider"). Not with Hell itself or with Satan.
The contract never actually says what "the Service" is nor does it say how much Crowley is supposed to be paid (so is it just delivering the baby to the convent, or all the upbringing too?)
There is a part that says Hastur and Ligur will pay the costs when the operation is done. But later on it also says that Crowley will not be reimbursed for his own expenses. Talk about being shortchanged!
Hastur and Ligur will NOT provide any help
Crowley must contribute to a retirement plan (Superannuation) for himself and his employees if he has any (how thoughtful)
And lastly, I learned the UK has Superannuations and it is not just an Australian thing! (go figure! the things GO teaches me)
So here you have it. A contract from Hell! literally If anyone can make out the words I couldn't or finds an error, please let me know and I'll update this one.

The Compensation will be payable upon completion of the Services. Provision of Extras a. The Customer will not provide any resources, assistance or extra for use by the Service Provider in providing the Services Reimbursement of Expenses b. The Service Provider will not be reimbursed for expenses incurred by the Service Provider in connection with providing the Services of this Agreement. Independence of Services c. In providing the Sevices under the Agreement it is expressly agreed that the Service Provider is acting as an independent contractor and not as an employee. Hopefully I'll remember to come back and add to this later, but in my agony over the way this franchise treats its main female character, I've been fomenting an idea for a dream game, which I just call Amy's Girl Adventure. The boys are all offscreen trapped in a cage or something, being NOT important, while Amy and the girls get center stage for a full adventure.
And ofc as part of this, I feel the franchise is sorely lacking in some kind of Rue to her Duck, a Homura to her Madoka, a third edgy aloof meangirl rival to her optimistic pink protagonist. Enter Anemone Black, the antagonist of Amy's Girl Adventure, who will continue to be Amy's cold and rude rival even after she is defeated; NO MORE NICE GIRLS!!!
I have a vision for Amy's Girl Adventure that I'd really like to compile in a google doc at some point, but here's the elevator pitch: a combat-focused platformer that borrows heavily from Battle and Unleashed's combat mechanics. While Sonic and co are off elsewhere, Amy decides it would be helpful to collect the Chaos Emeralds on their behalf, just in case. Unexpectedly, she finds herself in a race to collect the emeralds against a mysterious girl named Anemone, who seems bent on using the Emeralds to change the world herself. Amy must work with her friends and allies to find all of the Chaos Emeralds before Anemone can.

Anemone's backstory is no more tragic than anyone else's in this world: powerless, she and many others have lost friends and family to disasters like the flooding of Station Square, the splitting of the planet, and Eggman's global conquest. Despondent and resentful, Anemone believes Sonic and his friends are too incompetent to stop these disasters before they happen. Anemone seeks the Chaos Emeralds to be granted their fabled Wish, which she will use to solve the world's problems herself. Ready to sacrifice the few for the good of the many, Anemone's Wish will kill Eggman and destroy his empire. And if anyone gets in her way, she'll show no mercy. Even when she is beaten, Anemone will not be swayed by Amy's rosy view of Sonic and what it means to save people. However, she will be compelled to attempt to change Amy's mind, above anyone else, just as Amy will attempt to change hers. The two recognize themselves in each other, as dark mirrors of naivete and cynicism.
