outdoor cats should be illegal. I don't care that it's gonna make it impossible for some people to have cats, I don't care that it would make more cats have to be put down because they can't be kept indoors. No, barn cats aren't a valid excuse. Barn cats are useless, get a damn ratting dog it won't give your livestock diseases or shit in their feed like barn cats do. I don't give a shit that your cat tears the house up if you keep it inside, maybe you should actually care for your cat and not expect all it's enrichment to come from being tossed outdoors. Stop making up excuses for neglecting cats.

Red Foxes, the animal that imo appears the most and is given the most misleading size descriptions and depictions in the books. They're cat size. They're literally cat sized. Please, Erins, they are cat sized. The fox kits Lion Jay and Holly find and are chased by? Might have actually been smaller than them if the books were accurate. I can't really blame most the animation community for depicting them so large, because they're described as being huge canonically, to the point you'd think they were coyotes or wolves with how much damage they can do sometimes. But really though, they're not that big. They're smaller than geese, weigh less than badgers, are definitely smaller than large dog breeds, and often only taller than cats because their necks and legs are longer, but their mass? just about the same as a cat’s.
Interesting thing about foxes, though they're generally solitary hunters they don't mind sharing opportunistic meals with competing species. Would they fight with the clans? yeah sure, but I think it would be possible for the clans to have some stories of foxes doing things that are playful or collaborative and be really confused about it.

Eye of Stars AU: Guardian Lifespan
AH, before I forget, I'm doing away with the whole "Eyes live an unspecified, but very long, amount of time until they slowly fade out of existence." Instead, like a leader gets nine lives, a guardian gets nine lifetimes. That is they live 9x as long as they would've were they not chosen. For reference, that's about 72 years (36 generations) depending on the cat.
They also physically change as the generations continue, becoming less cat-like and more like how their stories are told. They grow in size, but they also fade somewhat to where they don't really cause damage. They sort of become one with the territory, with the land slowly changing to sort of reflect the guardian watching it. The Eye becomes less interested in clan politics and more interested in the health of the territory as a whole. Real physical changes are usually noticeable by the end of their first lifetime.
For example, if Bluestar were a guardian, at the end of her term she'd be as tall as the Sky Oak. Her paws would be like mist, never leaving a mark on the ground. She'd smell of rain and something bitter. Her fur would shift like rippling waves, and when she agitated the wind would pick up and thunder would rumble in the distance. You're welcome to sit with her and watch the grass grow, but she may not answer your inquiries. When her time comes, she'd fade away like morning dew.

BrambleClan's Journey!
Helloooo! Welcome to my first ever Clan-Gen blog, I've been reading so many I finally decided to plant myself down and make one... Over the course of months... Before finally drawing anything. I've gone through multiple game files and they all went haywire, too drastic and not enough grit in a story-sense. This one, however, has stuck! I am Robot Possum, or just Robot, I go by she/her and I am trying to get my confidence up about putting my art out there. Have mercy on me- I'm not a frequent poster and I'm still trying to find a style of drawing that is easy, quick, and looks good lol. I will try to post once a week, but don't hold me to that as my life outside this is a little hectic. Which is why I'll try and make them in bulk. Start Here : Moon 0
BrambleClan Founders: Leader: Batstar - Female (adult) Deputy: Logbriar - Male (adult) Medicine: Fringeshadow - Male (young adult) BrambleClan's Origin: The original BrambleClan was long lost over many generations, it simply became a large group of cats with a different system to live by. A leader, the council, enforcers, and all others. Fringe, born with the ability to speak to ghosts, was given a warning that a great danger was coming, and they had to leave to ensure "true BrambleClan cats" will survive. Bat, Fringe, and Log eventually planned to leave, to create a new home for everyone who wanted to escape. Many cats were lost on the journey, but the last 3 eventually found their new home sheltered in a gully carved from an ancient creek that still has a small stream flowing.
Fun-fact: Bat and Fringe are siblings! Bat is the older sister who was the first litter, Fringe was the second litter. Log is just a loyal friend to the two and that's why he's here, never going to let them down.

Taking a break from regularly scheduled warriorcats for some Canada Geese. Geese are a species that is absent from canon except in naming conventions, so I think it is reasonable to believe the cats could encounter geese with some regularity to know what to call them. I really do feel like other species are treated with plot relevance status only which is a shame, it would add a lot to the atmosphere of warriorcats to have other species in the narrative as omens, competition, or special seasonal events, as it would likely be with a goose hunt. let some cat notice geese on the lake already! I love them, they're horrible.
