The vigorous deciduous climber Parthenocissus quinquefolia (Virginia creeper, American ivy, American woodbine, false grape, five-leaved ivy, wild wood vine) provides vivid autumn colour. Here the stems look great tumbling from this tree in a garden setting but care has to be taken as this is classified in the U.K. as an invasive non-native plants.

the easiest and tastiest thing to do with these is to shove them in a jar, mush em up a bit, and cover them with some bourbon. leave for at least a month and you will have the MOST delicious extraction.

6/27/24 ~ Has anyone grown Atomic Grape tomatoes? I wasn’t sure when they are ripe. I had ones on the vine that turned a bit yellow but were starting to have bad spots on them. So I picked these super early I believe😅 but I feel they’ve been on the plant for weeks.

So I’m hoping these will ripen sitting on the counter like so like other tomatoes 😋🍅

Reading up on invasive plants continue to be a mistake because now that the garlic mustard's died back I am instead seeing dog-strangling vine everywhere. Admittedly Vincetoxicum rossicum and Vincetoxicum nigrum are pretty metal names but they really are out there blanketing the edge of every disturbed field and choking out the rest of the plant life...

I made a pear pie from pears I picked out of the pear tree in my front yard. It is very yummy. I’m quite pleased with myself. Now I just need to be patient for the figs and muscadines to grow.
