So Tumblr,
I found out that I hit 400 followers? I umm I’m am going to be real with you I don’t know why I have that many.
Maybe I’m really good at acting like I have everything together and I’m not a mess of a student with a ton of late work and focus problems. Someone give me an Oscar.
But thanks for 400, this blog really is one of the main reasons I have the motivation to study. I don’t really know how to celebrate this but feel free to send asks and messages? I’d love to connect more with the people that follow me here.
But anyways, I’m currently reviewing linked lists because you think a senior computer science student would know basic data structures but um, she does not. It’s kinda bad how ill prepared I am to be a software engineer but I mean better late than never. Last night I headed to a nearby chocolate shop with a friend because they were having discount but the chocolate my friend chose was nothing short of terrible. Oh well at least it was an excuse to get away from the library.

I quite am literally done with all men in geology
I am so sick of the undergraduate male students I'm teaching treating their women partners or their women instructors like they don't know what they're doing
I did not get a master's degree to be told off by guys who think having a dick = geology experience, geology experience is the only thing that equals geology experience!!! And I have more! That's why I'm teaching and why they don't have a degree yet! So they should learn from me, showing what a bedding surface is, instead of using a "bedding" measurement they took off a fucking crossbed that's not even in place!!!!!
I'm sick of having to reinvent plate tectonics or something to be taken seriously. When does it end? If I get a PhD? If I publish 10 million papers? When do I know enough that my credentials outweigh "girl"?

so, it's been a while since i've posted on this blog...
i'm currently majoring in honours physics and astronomy, second year. i think it might be helpful for me to shift my focus to my progress through this degree so i can look back and (hopefully!) see how i improved :)
and, maybe it'll be helpful for other people too? idk just knowing that getting a degree is highkey kinda hard?
ex. i got a class low of 28% on my first linear algebra midterm yesterday :D :D :D

What is up with this new “girl math” trend???
What is it 1992? How are we taking leaps and bounds backwards? What happened to WiSTEM???

During a WISTEM event I ended up remembering that I’m pretty sure blue moon has a separated bloodmoon. I remembered it because he’s the one who just shoved a body into his face to get him to eat X3
Anyways I imagine that separated bloodmoon considers blue moon another bloodmoon and it’s a funny visual to imagine how confused someone would be by him referring to blue moon as “other” like most do their twins, except blue moon is a giant
Blue Moon does have a separated! And they did shove food into their face. It's been a long time.
It definitely would be a bit funny for others. But for Blue Moon is just simple yes. I am a blood moon. Because they kind of are. They treat lunars and blood moons as kin. Why couldn't they be separated blood moon other? People like Black Star might try and point out the obscurity of it. But Blue Moon just accepts it. They are separateds other.

You're the one with the filthy mind here, Coral;)

It’s like I’ve already signed up for the WISTEM dinner event days ago, but right now my organs are being crushed. But I’d feel bad if I didn’t attend at this point cause I signed up
Why is it that whenever I have events I need to attend I get debilitating uterus pain?? Of course it chose today of all days to start punting my organs

where do I go to complain that there’s basically no scholarships for trans people and FORGET about being nonbinary, and that most of the STEM scholarships are only for women? like, no, I’m not a woman.  I’m not a man, either.  I’m not anything, actually, that is useful for getting me a scholarship, which is such a  ridiculous concern that I don’t even know how to feel about it.  But it also makes me think “huh.  I am a marginalized gender in STEM and I am often perceived as being a woman, if a very butch one, should I apply for this anyway? the concern of supporting gender minorities in STEM would SEEM to apply to me, except that it is defined as women” and then I think about the WiSTEM events I’ve attended where I tried to bring that up, and the only change it brought about was all the attendees and hosts started saying “female identified” instead of women, which was worse, and then I feel like the only way to get anywhere with this whole fucking mess is to write an open letter trying to make WiSTEM more inclusive, but then I don’t know where I’d send that letter, and then I think of 100 reasons not to and then I get frustrated and bang out this fucking post instead.

Hey hey Tumblr,
A snapshot of my lab setup last night at like 8 pm. I needed to collect more data and nothing was agreeing with me. But we soldier on. It’s truly me and my overpriced water bottle against the world.
Anyways, thank you so much for 100+ followers I believe I’m at 125 or something right now and I’m so surprised as I started this blog maybe 3 weeks ago to stop myself from losing my sanity. I really love all the notes and comments I get on my posts it makes my day.
Feel free to ask me stuff or anything really. I’m so surprised people enjoy what I have to say.
