in my mind post-gang war shipwreck seems to have a few different phases

1: he feels so guilty and traumatized over having killed a dude that he becomes a clingy, whiny bitch who fears for sharky's safety and flinches every time he hears a siren. like he's so annoying when i imagine him i myself cant handle it

2: once he gets over his guilt with sharky's help he becomes a lot more defensive. now that the gang's acting a little more like a gang he becomes uber-wary of sharky possibly starting to act like thresher (yknow, the guy he killed) and the two may have a falling out over this. he's also still afraid to come anywhere near a gun

3. a decent amount of time has passed since the gang war, and shipwreck's pretty much back to his old self. his hair's grown back out to where his scar is hidden, maybe a bit gray from aging - he'd likely be more in his late 30s at this point in the timeline. except now he's grown maybe a little too comfortable with joking about killing people, where before the reaction would've been "haha lol murder joke" it's now more like an awkward "haha... yeah... funny...". oh and also at this point sharky and shipwreck have made amends

from there honestly i dont even know. i dont even have a proper conclusion to the overall story LOL

#gangs bay #Whoops! i made the sillyguy go through horrors #but i mean all the characters are affected by thresher in some way. shipwreck was just the one to bear the burden of killing him #he felt it was the only option to not only save sharky in the moment but to stop the conflict altogether. and it really was #i really do believe it's important story-wise that shipwreck's the one to fire the gun. it has the biggest impact going forward #which like. you'd think the gang war would be the FINALE of the story. NOPE! i wanna see how the event affects the characters' lives #which i find is smth rare in media. if at all it's usually a brief epilogue or a sequel where Another Big Thing happens. but not here #this is the biggest thing that happens to these guys their whole lives and i'd spend a season or two on what their new normal looks like #assuming this is made into a show. but yeah now that the rival gang is free of thresher's influence the gang has new friends to interact w/#not to mention the gang all learn smth about themselves during the event and maybe try to make changes in the aftermath #UGH i love these characters why did i do this to them LOL this was supposed to be a COMEDY
