TAT Mushrooms: The Rare and Highly Valued Strain for Mycologists
Discover the Beauty of True Albino Teacher (TAT) Mushrooms TAT (True Albino Teacher) mushroom is a genetically-modified variety of Psilocybe cubensis psychedelic mushroom species and exhibits true albino traits. "Jik Fibs," an active Shroomery user, used his expertise in cultivating Golden Teachers to isolate an albino variation. After months of work and many generations had passed, a strain emerged which produced fully albino mushrooms. Under a microscope, this strain's spores appear colorless; true albinos contain no pigment in their spores; TAT mushrooms have pure white hue and an above average potency rating. TAT mushrooms are an absolute delight to grow, with an easy maintenance schedule comparable to any of the other Psilocybe cubensis strains on the market. Their spores come from albino genetics so are sold as sets as it's not possible to print from these mushrooms. TAT mushrooms possess all of the same properties as Golden Teacher strain. Furthermore, TAT varieties feature an all-white albino look with translucent white surfaces and ghost-like ghostliness, giving an alluring silver hued hue. Psilocybe cubensis is one of the best-known species of psychedelic mushrooms, and TAT is one of its strains. However, TAT is not the only albino strain of Psilocybe cubensis; there are others such as KSAT (Koh Samui Super Strain x TAT), Jack Frost (APE x TAT), and AMVP (TAT x Melmak).
History of Tat Mushroom
Psilocybe cubensis is known for producing fruiting bodies with above average potency that feature true albino traits; these produce pure white fruiting bodies known as Tat mushrooms. Jake Phipps (known by his online mushroom community name Jik Fibs) from Canada first identified this strain when cultivating Golden Teachers and isolated its albino variant during cultivation. Through years of work and many generations, eventually an albino strain emerged that produced fully albino mushrooms. True Albino Teachers (TAT), is a new isolate developed to stabilize albino genetics. TAT mushroom has an all-white albino appearance that makes it stand out among cubensis mushrooms; additionally, its spores do not contain pigment; like true albinos it does not pigment its spores either. TAT mushrooms can be purchased as cultivation material via spore swabs or syringes for cultivation purposes. What are the Unique Properties of TAT Mushroom Strain TAT mushroom strain stands out due to its all-white albino appearance - distinct from that of Golden Teacher strain. Additionally, TAT mushroom spores do not contain pigmented spots and therefore provide evidence of true albinism. TAT mushrooms possess all of the properties and potency associated with Golden Teacher strain, making it an excellent alternative. TAT mushrooms display moderately-sized clusters with milky white stems and long width-to-depth ratio, wide and flat white caps with blue-grey speckles, as well as long white stems, as well as milky-white caps with blue-grey patches on them and their gills. TAT mushroom spores possess an almost colorless quality that makes them distinctive from leucistic varieties of psychedelic mushrooms. As mature specimens, TAT mushrooms often take on more of an appearance similar to white flowers than that of mushrooms. TAT mushroom strain stands out due to its all-white albino appearance, setting it apart from most cubensis mushrooms. An offshoot of Golden Teacher strain, TAT exhibits all of the same properties as its original strain. TAT mushroom spores do not contain pigment, similar to true albinos which lack any pigmentation at all. Instead, their spores have a somewhat transparent or colorless quality which sets it apart from leucistic varieties of psychedelic mushrooms and makes this species truly beautiful! Growing TAT mushrooms is truly enjoyable as any other Psilocybe cubensis strain currently available on the market and makes for an impressive collection addition! What Are The Effects of TAT Mushrooms
Unfortunately, no concrete information regarding the effects of TAT mushroom strain are provided in search results. As it is likely a type of psilocybin magic mushroom, however, its effects should likely include hallucinogenic properties when consumed. Though effects vary by individual and may include feelings of euphoria, altered time perception, mood changes and changes to thought patterns as well as nausea, vomiting and anxiety when taken in high doses or uncomfortable environments - also be mindful that accidental ingestion of poisonous varieties could pose risks in case you are unfamiliar with species you consume when eating magic mushrooms by mistake can pose significant health risks as it could lead to serious side effects that could potentially poisonous species - be wary if taken unknowingly as poisonous species could result. Where can I purchase TAT mushrooms
TAT mushroom spores and syringes can be purchased online stores that specialize in mushroom cultivation supplies. While cultivation of some Psilocybe species is illegal in certain countries, microscopy and taxonomy use is perfectly legal in others - therefore these stores only sell TAT mushroom spores/syringes for microscopy/taxonomy use only as growing them could violate local laws/regulations and consumption may also be unlawful depending on local regulations before purchasing any magic mushroom products (syringes/spores or otherwise). Before purchasing any TAT mushroom spores/syringes. it is wise to research local laws/regulations before purchasing any TAT mushroom spores/syringes as possible before purchasing TAT mushroom spores/syringes/syringes before purchasing any TAT mushroom spores/syringes. What are the Differences Between True Albino Teacher and Golden Teacher Strains
True Albino Teacher (TAT) mushroom is an all-white variety of the original Golden Teacher strain with all of the same benefits but with an attractive, all-white albino appearance. TAT mushroom's caps and stems are ghostly white while its silvery-hued gills create an eye-catching contrast. TAT mushrooms provide more tactile effects with quicker psychedelic effects lasting several hours at most. Golden Teachers is the iconic magic mushroom strain and recommended as the go-to strain for beginner growers. These mushrooms are popular and potency are legendary; in fact they have long been seen on market as one of the mainstays. Many of the strains sold today likely originate from Golden Teacher genetics or were selectively bred from them, including White Rabbit, Yeti, Alcabenzi, Golden Emperor, and Golden Halo strains. A hallmark feature of a Golden Teacher strain is its golden-yellow caps. What are the effects of True Albino Teacher strain?
Search results provide scant information regarding the effects of True Albino Teacher (TAT) strain mushroom mushrooms, but TAT mushroom strain has become well known for producing more tactile, faster acting psychedelic effects that last several hours or even days. TAT mushroom shares all of the properties associated with its original Golden Teacher strain, including producing effects ranging from euphoria and happiness to spiritual experiences and introspection. Note that magic mushrooms, including TAT mushroom, may produce hallucinogenic effects when consumed. Their exact effects depend on several factors including dose, individual tolerance level and the context in which they're consumed; to minimize risks it's recommended that one start out small by taking a low dose and building up slowly over time to gauge tolerance levels. What Are the Effects of True Albino Teacher Mushrooms
True Albino Teacher (TAT) mushrooms are an unusual strain of cubensis fungus known for its ghostly white caps and stems. TAT mushrooms are widely considered to have above-average potency, slightly greater than their parent strain, the Golden Teacher. TAT mushrooms are famous for producing more tactile, faster acting psychedelic effects which last several hours or even days. TAT mushrooms' effects are comparable to other Psilocybe cubensis strains and may cause changes in mood and thought-pattern, and at higher doses hallucinations. Nausea may also occur as a side effect from taking magic mushrooms. TAT mushrooms may cause different results depending on the dose, individual tolerance level and setting in which they're taken. It is advised to consume magic mushrooms safely and with trusted individuals in a comfortable setting with starting off low doses in order to gauge individual tolerance levels. What are the effects of True Albino Teacher mushrooms as compared to other strains? True Albino Teacher (TAT) mushrooms are said to boast above-average potency, slightly exceeding that of their Golden Teacher counterpart. TAT mushrooms are notable for producing faster-acting psychedelic effects lasting several hours at once. Albino strain mushrooms are popularly recognized for producing an immediate and stronger physical high than their Psilocybe cubensis counterparts, producing changes to mood, thoughts patterns and hallucinations at higher doses. TAT mushroom strain has similar effects as well. However, the effects of magic mushrooms can differ depending on their dose, individual tolerance and environment of consumption. Consume magic mushrooms responsibly and with trusted individuals in an atmosphere conducive to safe consumption, starting out slowly with low doses to test individual tolerance levels. Overall, TAT mushrooms produce similar effects as other Psilocybe cubensis strains but with greater potency and a faster, tactile psychedelic experience. How to Consume True Albino Teacher Mushrooms
It is essential to remember that possessing, selling, and consuming magic mushrooms are illegal in many countries including the US. Before consuming True Albino Teacher (TAT) mushrooms, it is advisable to familiarise oneself with local laws and regulations. TAT mushroom strain produces similar effects as other Psilocybe cubensis strains, including mood and thought changes and, at higher doses, hallucinations. The effects of magic mushrooms can depend on several factors, including dose, individual tolerance and where they're consumed. It is recommended to consume magic mushrooms in an environment with trusted individuals in which you feel safe, starting out slowly before increasing dose as needed to gauge tolerance levels. TAT mushrooms can be consumed either dried or fresh mushrooms directly, or by making tea and other edibles with them. As with all medications, dosage should be carefully measured so as to avoid taking too much and experiencing unpleasant side effects. Read the full article

Greedy, Jealous Man [Satoru Gojo]
an: oh @azurelyy, thank you for giving me this prompt for my event. I lost my mind writing this, and now think I am quite obsessed with this version of Gojo-sensei... I hope you like it ^^
prompt: the sin of Greed (with bonus points for some jealousy/envy - I love a challenge!)
pairing: Satoru Gojo (sensei) x female reader (student)
warnings: teacher/student dynamic, Gojo is 28, reader is 19, implied unprotected sex, groping, possessive traits, overstimulation, pussy fingering, cum play, marking, Gojo is a greedy greedy man!
Masterlist
“Why you fucking with those boys?” he demanded of you.
Words were caught fast in your throat, nothing but garbled moans falling from your lips along with pathetic strings of runny saliva. One hand braced against the headboard, the thunderous rattle reverberated around your small dorm room, and the other reached for the insistent hand that was rubbing at your puffy, abused clit.
Celestial eyes crinkled as the snowy-haired male smirked down at you, his head cocked to the side as he batted you away with only a flick of his powerful wrist. He continued to slam his fat cock into your sopping hole at a near inhuman speed whilst playing with your adorably twitchy little clit.
“I asked a question, I expect you to answer like a good girl.”
“F-friends. They’re–fuck–just friends,” you managed to splutter out.
Heat spread like molten lava across your chest, and sweat beaded over your tits as they bounced wildly from each and every rhythmical pound that Gojo delivered. The way he paused whilst balls deep, pelvis grinding against yours and ensuring your walls were moulded to his length was enough to make you gush anew.
He was marking you as his, and you loved it.
“Friends,” he mocked, rearing back onto his knees and pulling you down the bed to keep you connected to his eager dick, “don’t think I haven’t seen the way they drool over you. They’d kill for a chance to be inside this sweet pussy.”
Your gaze lowered to your joining point, just in time to watch him pull from your clenching cunt, the red mushroom tip slick with your arousal and a ring of thick cream around his base, dripping towards the sheets.
“Gojo-sensei.”
He groaned in his throat, and you admired the tendons in his neck straining under the tension. A blush coating his pectorals that rippled under your watch, abs contracting from the rigorous workout of fucking you so damn furiously and possessively. Gojo’s head tipped back to stare at the ceiling for a second before he smacked the head of his cock against your trembling clit hood and slid back in on an exalted sigh.
His large palms groped at you, kneading your dewy flesh and pulling decadent-sounding whines from your throat. That lazy, self-assured smile twisted into something sinister as he locked eyes with you, “this is all mine, understood? These lips, this throat, these perky tits and especially this.”
Satoru’s palm pressed against your cunt, rutting against his own hand as he felt your soaked folds, admired how your pussy sucked him deep and just how responsive you were to his touch.
“I don’t share,” he hissed through gritted teeth.
His pace turned sloppy, your walls clinging to him as you reached your peak with reverential chants of his name, all adding to his already monstrous ego.
“That’s it, baby, milk me dry.”
As you float gently back down to earth from your mind-shattering orgasm, you had expected this to be the end of things, but oh no. Your greedy man isn’t quite finished with you yet.
Satoru pulls gingerly from your spasming walls, wiping his still rigid cock against your pussy lips before lowering his face between your parted thighs.
“Wh-what are you doing?” you asked on a strangled cry, the sensation of one of his thick fingers collecting your mingled release and pushing it back inside is enough to make you jerk around.
“Don’t wanna waste a drop, plus I can’t help but want more of this tasty pussy.”
The white-haired menace bit tenderly at the crease of your thigh as he continued to stuff his cum into your hole.
“Make sure you wear a skirt to class, I want to see my cum running down your thigh and maybe it’ll keep Itadori-kun and Fushiguro-kun from drooling all over my property.”
Satoru was a greedy, jealous man.

Hello! Can I request the Octavinelle boys crushing on a great white shark mermaid who is way bigger than them, with a mouth full of long and sharp teeth but is a sweetheart who lives secluded from other merfolk and loves to collection human things and has a treasure trove like the little mermaid and is fascinated by the world above. Pretty please?
Treasures and Truths Untold
A/N: I already have a request in which the reader is a shark so this request became headcanons of the boys with a Little Mermaid-like reader! I hope that’s okay with you. Also, what is a title anymore....
Azul Ashengrotto:
Color him intrigued.
Azul is not that into human culture, but seeing you get all giddy over it piques his interest by a small margin.
In other words, he appreciates it more than he did before meeting you as well as being more observant of the things you fawn over.
Truthfully, he doesn’t understand your little obsession that much. I mean they’re just land creatures aren’t they?
Azul is more into you than he is into humans.
He tries not to be obvious though, keeping it professional like a student-teacher relationship with no foresight as to how it’s going to progress.
And Azul feels like a fool for it.
But when you always rush to him with questions when he returns home for breaks, Azul tries his best to quench your thirst for knowledge.
Your enthusiasm is oddly refreshing for him as it reminds him of his own eagerness to study and do better than all of his childhood bullies… except yours sparkles radiantly while his flickered like a candle in the wind.
He sees it as a sort of deal— you get your answers and he gets to spend time with you and feel good about it.
It’s not ideal… as the relationship is platonic at best but a certain octopus is a bit shy.
Heck, he’s still not over the fact that you approached him so willy-nilly with no ill intentions whatsoever?
Ahhhhh is it love or simply fondness that he latched onto because nobody had ever given him this much attention?
For sure overthinks it but also finds it endearing that someone would go out of their way to ask him about his life in such detail.
Your curious nature would be good for deals keeps Azul on his toes? His tentacles? Ah, he’s having trouble keeping up with you but the catch is sure worth the chase.
Jade Leech:
Oya oya?
You’re of those merfolk who want to go on land that badly?
He doesn't understand the appeal aside (from hiking and mushrooms) but he indulges you if you beg him to take him to your grotto. Is he that special to you?
Ara ara~
Jade definitely doesn’t get it. He thinks people on land are quite troublesome and the transformation was more pain than gain. Azul does seem happier up there than down here, but that doesn’t mean he is.
Jade… finds no greater joy than to swim freely in the ocean. After all, swimming is much easier than flying or even running.
The thrill of a chase in water for prey is much more satisfying than a chase on land. He doesn’t get exhausted. He gets high off that addictive adrenaline.
But you… you’re so docile especially when you’re just as a threat to other fish in the ocean as he is— if not more of a threat.
Seeing you fondle over forks makes him pity you. It’s such a shame that you utilize your physical prowess to wander around shipwrecks to collect kitchen utensils. Kitchen utensils for crying out loud!
Oh, but Jade would never say that to you out loud and in such an impolite tone. He would coax you into a hunt.
If you stood your ground and refused nonetheless, then he would help you clean and organize your treasures albeit he’ll be a little reluctant.
His face shows discomfort and strain but you can’t ever truly tell because he waves it off as being tired and insists that it’s his duty to help you out as a dear old friend.
Ahhhhh. Friend. That word sort of bothers him. Did he really become that attached to you? A little naive fish in the sea who values human culture over mer-culture. How lamentable.
This must be what you call a crush…
Fufufu~ this actually might be some fun, keeping you down in the sea and coming back to you with treasures from land.
A pitiful love, but it could be fun. Go, entertain him!
Floyd Leech:
What’s this? A pile of junk from sunken ships?
Boringggg! But adorable! Very, very adorable~
Floyd can’t turn that cute face of yours down especially when you make those futile puppy eyes at him. They don’t work on him, but he relishes in the fact that you’re begging him to spend time with you, that you deem him close enough to take him to your hidden treasure trove.
The teasing knows no end. Well, you think it’s teasing but it could honestly be a threat…
He doesn’t see how it’s interesting but seeing you jump up and down about music boxes or clothes from land is fun.
After Floyd returns from NRC, he understands you now! Humans and their culture is super interesting! Why didn’t you tell him dancing and running after prey would be this thrilling?
From then on, he joins you on your little excursions to abandoned ships.
Floyd’s personal favorite items to look for are socks and shoes as he finds them fun to sport on land.
He says they’re great and he enjoys dancing on land more than he does in the ocean.
He even teaches you while trying to wear shoes on his tail... which didn’t work out.
There were these two pairs that he wanted bring to land because they looked perfect for a night out at the Mostro Lounge with you.
Granted, the chances of him being able to bring shipwrecked shoes back to school are slim but he entertains the thought nonetheless.
If you clear up an extra space for all of his own finds, he will be touched. Again, you think he would be…
And if you want something in particular, just ask when he’s in the right mood. Most likely, Floyd would bring it back if it means you never stop being entertaining, but you have to remind him because sometimes his moods make him forget about it.
Write and text him often if you can to remind him! There are times where he’ll ignore you but eight out of ten times he won’t.

How To Grow Golden Teacher Mushrooms?
Just like Marijuana, psychedelic drugs, which were once considered illicit, are now becoming mainstream. Let's begin by providing a brief about the magic mushrooms for those who don't know much about them.
What are Magic Mushrooms?
Magic Mushrooms refer to wild and cultivated mushrooms that contain a psychoactive and hallucinogenic compound called psilocybin. It gets converted into psilocin in the human body, which is the chemical responsible for creating a 'trip.'
How Do You Recognize Magic Mushrooms?
Mushrooms containing psilocybin look similar to ordinary mushrooms with long and slender stems. The stems are mostly wheatish-grey, with dark brown caps and a white or light brown in the center.
Magic mushrooms, including the Golden Teacher mushrooms, can be consumed in a lot of ways. They can be eaten directly, mixed with food and beverages, or even brewed like tea.
What are the Effects of Magic Mushrooms?
Magic mushrooms are hallucinogenic drugs, which implies that they can cause you to see, hear, and feel things that may seem real but are actually not.
The effects of magic mushrooms vary from person to person and are also influenced by environmental factors.
Magic mushrooms, also known as shrooms, have a long history of providing spiritual experiences, leading to self-discovery. Many users believe that naturally occurring compounds, such as shrooms, help to attain spiritual states. Others believe that mushrooms help to get a sense of euphoria and a distorted sense of time.
Golden Teacher mushrooms offer a variety of effects. Users claim to experience enhanced colors, visual distortion, and lightness. It also makes you feel spiritually in tune and euphoric.
How To Grow Golden Teacher Magic Mushrooms?
Golden Teacher magic mushrooms are one of the easiest species to grow. With proper preparation and the right knowledge, you can grow Golden Teacher within two months.
To cultivate this strain, you need to collect materials from scratch or use a shroom growing kit. Precisely, to grow magic mushrooms, you need to get your hands on mycelium and a hospitable environment for it to thrive.
Mycelium is a fungus that grows into edible magic mushrooms. Since growing kits contain a grow box and mycelium, having one makes the growing process easy. Such kits include almost everything you need. However, there is a risk of contamination and even fake products.
Another alternative to growing Golden Teacher mushrooms is through the PF Tek method.
What is the PF Tek Method?
Psylocybe Fanaticus Technique or PF TEK, created by Robert McPherson in 1991 isn't very hard. Firstly, you need to prepare a substrate of brown flour, vermiculite, and water, dividing it between sterile glass jars. The next thing to do is introduce spores and wait for the development of mycelium. This will be the network of filaments, helping you to underpin mushroom growth. Post 4-5 weeks, transfer the colonized substrates to a fruiting chamber and sit back until the mushrooms grow.
Let's understand the process in detail.
Things Required For Phase One
● 10 sterilized jars
● Latex gloves
● Face Mask
● Rubbing Alcohol
● A syringe of mushroom spores
● Hypodermic needles
● Lighter
● Disinfectant Spray
Things Required For Phase Two
● Spray Bottle
● Fruiting Chamber (clear plastic tub with a lid)
● Vermiculite/Perlite
● Hydrogen Peroxide
Phase One
This phase involves creating a birthing cake. It occurs when the mycelium has colonized the jar and wound around the substrate. When you take it out of the mason jar, it will hold together and sprout mushrooms.
Step One: Sterilize
The first enemy in the cultivation of mushrooms is bacteria hijacking the jars. For this, you need to take certain steps to sterilize the jar as well as the surrounding environment.
Select a small space of your house, which can be used as a laboratory. Wear your face mask and close the door. Spray the room with a disinfectant spray, and wear your gloves.
Now, wipe off the jars with rubbing alcohol.
Step Two: Inoculate
Use a lighter and heat the metal portion of the hypodermic needle. Most hypodermic needles come pre-sterilized. So, this is just a preventive measure.
Don't lay the needle down after sterilization and continue holding it until it cools down. Shake the syringe to distribute spores evenly. Now, insert the needle into the port and inject one cc into the jar. Repeat the same process with the remaining jars.
Step Three: Sit Back and Wait
Place the jars in a card box after injecting, close the lid, and put them in a dark place. Make sure that there is a steady temperature of 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
After five days, a white substance will begin forming in the jar, which is mycelium. Let it grow for at least 15 days. Once the jars are entirely colonized, wait for a week and then proceed to phase two.
Phase Two
This is the time to remove the birthing cake from the jars. Over the next month, they'll sprout ample mushrooms.
Step One: Birth and Soak Mycelium Cakes
Once the jars are entirely colonized, it's time to birth and place them in fruiting chambers to sprout mushrooms. Since the mycelium stayed in an airtight container for a long period and soaked the moisture, it needs a nice soak for 12-24 hours.
Take a container with a lid or a plastic bag and have some filtered water ready. Put the cake into the jar or bag and avoid touching the cake. Fill with filtered water and put it into the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
Step Two: Prepare the Chamber
Sterilize the container with a solution of bleach and boiling water. Rinse with plain boiled water.
Now fill the spray bottle with 10 parts of boiled water and one part of hydrogen peroxide. Sterilize the vermiculite by soaking another solution of boiling water and hydrogen peroxide. Now, spread a layer on the bottom of the growing chamber.
Place the mason jar in the vermiculite bed, placing a cake on each lid. Spray each lid with an H2O2 mixture. Leave enough space between each cake so that there's enough space for mushrooms to sprout.
Check the health of mycelium by sniffing the cake. It should smell like fresh mushrooms.
Step Three:
Place a lid on the growing chamber and put it in a place where it would get direct sunlight.
Maintenance
Mist the mushrooms twice a day with water or hydrogen peroxide for the next month. Make sure to maintain a temperature of low 70s and humidity of 85 percent.
Harvesting
When the mushrooms are finally ready for harvest, break them off the birthing cake. Put them in an airtight container and place the container in the refrigerator.
Final Thoughts
Growing Golden Teacher mushrooms may seem like a daunting task initially, but you'll gain experience after growing a batch or two. We advise re-reading the steps until you can picture the whole cultivation process.
Remember, it is a privilege to grow anything. It can also become one of your favorite hobbies. Enjoy the cultivation of Golden Teacher and indulge in self-appreciation when it's done.

Strawberry Mushroom
“Is something wrong?” You finally asked as you watched your exasperated boyfriend stab another handful of berries into his fork, his brows furrowed together upon his usually gentle and fair face as his lips turned slightly into a frown.
Going out for a quick breakfast in a nearby café had been your idea, you thought it to be suitable to start such a beautiful day as his usual work being a covert examiner for the hunter association left little to no time for you both to spend together.
The sun was shining blindingly from the east, there was also a cool breeze in the air as the occasional wind rustled the trees soothingly. The cafe was surrounded by inviting smell of coffees, various types of pastries, breakfast food and yet, Wing’s aggravated mood was enough to dampen the spirits of a lovely Sunday morning.
“Nothing,” he replied bluntly. For someone with such a stern and intuitive nature, Wing really does wear his heart on his sleeves. It was clear that he was upset and yet you haven’t had the slightest clue for the reason of his discontent. Halting his slightly violent ministrations on the poor strawberries by placing your hand on top of his, you forced him to finally stop and acknowledge you properly.
“Please tell me,” you softly pleaded as you looked into his eyes sincerely.
Wing sighed and averted your look by dropping his gaze before muttering out, “you seemed to be quite interested in that tattooed up barista.”
That was it? You couldn’t even remember your interaction with said man, not to mention his name or his face. Whatever happened previously, it seemed enough to upset your boyfriend.
“What do you mean? Nothing happened back then,” you attempted to assuage him while also genuinely not knowing what he was so irritated about. You didn’t see it but the way Wing clenched his fists underneath his pockets whenever that barista that burnt his coffee flashed you a charming smile and a joyous jest made him want to jump over the counter and strike him down.
Wing knew you might not notice his lecherous, wandering eyes that lingered on you for far too long for it to be a common friendly service but as your man, he couldn’t help but wished that you were more self-aware. In his perspective, all men are the same, sly and perverted waiting for someone naïve enough to toy around with before discarding them carelessly.
“Sure and you didn’t just flirt with him in front of me.” His retort took you aback. You stared at him in shock as he resentfully ate a small piece of his breakfast, unable to form a comprehensible string of sentence.
“What are you talking about? Of course I didn’t- I would never!” You felt your heart drop at his awful accusation. He hummed dismissively before pushing his chair back to promptly stand up and grab his jacket. You continued to watch him in disbelief, feeling your eyes starting to sting once you knew he wasn’t going to stop.
“I’m going off to work,” before you could argue back that it was Sunday, he brusquely added that he had leftover work to finish to justify his absence; and just like that you were left by yourself, leaving a bitter sting on the brief breakfast date.
Holding back your tears, you didn’t want to start a scene in front of all these people as the door closed behind him with a soft jingle. You could sense where the future for the both of you will end up, you could feel the strain in your relationship as you progressed the days further with him and to be completely honest, you were scared.
You don’t know why but Wing’s inferiority complex grew each day when you were with him in which left him completely different from the man you once met and fell in love with. He was constantly paranoid of your faithfulness for him. Your loyalty, trust and respect all dissipated with the presence of another man in the room. He’d always imply how you would soon leave him for a better, a more attractive and rugged man if you had the chance, continuously putting himself down as if you were too good to be with someone like him.
It seemed like there was no words you could say were enough to convince him otherwise. His jealously was constantly festering and infecting him, detrimenting your once pure and beautiful connection.
All your friends have heard your troublesome tales with the martial arts teacher and each time, they pressingly urged you to leave him, growing weary and outraged by how the seemingly innocuous man was treating you. However, no matter what they say you couldn’t bring yourself to end it. How were you supposed to forget all the times you spent together? You held onto those memories on days like these, where his words didn’t prick at your heart and he was still here with his arms firmly held around you in a loving squeeze.
You never felt anything for anyone as much as you did for him. So you guessed that the old adage is true when they say love is blind, because you clearly were when you were with him. Overlooking his past transgressions and never delving deep into the root of the problem, only choosing to look on the surface and forget about it the very next day.
Clearly you had fallen for Wing so much that you couldn’t see anyone besides him. When he said you should let him take care of you since if the both of you was working it would be nearly impossible for you both to see each other. You weren’t much for departing with the work you clearly enjoyed but before him you did because you loved seeing him smile, seeing him happy because of you, the way he woke you up each morning, the way he shook your father’s hand and meeting your mother.
You don’t want to ever lose that.
When you returned back to your shared apartment and left behind your untouched breakfast, you chose to spend the day by trying to forget that the whole ordeal ever happened, filling your time by talking to your friends, running small errands and reading the daily news. You knew how much his job occupied his time and so you waited until the moon was at its highest for him to return.
Truth be told he hadn’t expected you to be awake when he retired back to the bedroom, instead he was pleasantly surprised when you languidly laid by the couch wearing nothing but the short silky robe that he liked with the strip hung loosely around your waist, showing much of your smooth skin that he loved to caress so much.
You stood up at his arrival letting the delicate garment fall of your shoulder in the process, nevertheless you didn’t care enough to fix it back in place once you saw Wing holding a large bundle of white roses for you. Walking closer towards him with a delighted turn of your lips, you waited for him to snap out of his daze and finally say something.
Red dusted his cheeks as he quickly stammered clumsily to get some words out. No matter how many times he had seen it, you never failed to take his breath away. The way your hair fell so prettily among your face which framed it perfectly, your alluring and graceful features that made his knees buckle at the very sight, and your smile that was so sweet he could admire it for a lifetime.
“F-For you,” he stuttered as you gratefully took it with a wide beam and a brief chuckle.
He couldn’t help but melt at the sound of your enchanting laugh that sounded like twinkling bells. It was at times like this is why he was the way he is, why he couldn’t bare it when other men looked at you knowing that they saw what he did. Wing wouldn’t admit it aloud in front of you, but he would rather die than to let others have you, just thinking of such a thought riled him up to no end that he had no other choice than to exert out his frustration on some test dummies back at the training grounds.
“I’m sorry,” he suddenly blurted out, filling the thick silence. “For leaving you, for getting angry, I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that I-“ his words were cut off when you pressed your lips desperately to his.
Wing’s hands automatically grabbed at your sides, pulling you close to him so he could feel more of you during this passionate moment. He assisted you in putting the extravagant bouquet aside on the bed as the piece that meant to signify his hopeless feelings served more as a barrier between you two.
Wrapping your arms around his neck and tangling it through his endearingly dishevelled yet soft locks, you deepened the kiss entangling your tongues in a further exchange. One of Wing’s hand raised up to graze his knuckles along your plush cheek before grabbing the back of your head lovingly to support it.
He let out a small breath of bliss as you parted from him. There was much he wanted to say, how much guilt he felt when stormed out earlier this morning, for not keeping his emotions in check sometimes and how much he didn’t deserve the love you’re giving him right now.
Wing suddenly snapped out of his thoughts when you pushed him decisively to the couch where he dutifully took a seat as you lowered yourself down to the floor, never taking your effervescent eyes off of his. He couldn’t deny that the lustful yet somehow demure look from you stirred a pool of desire within him, craving more of your touches on him as he took in the lascivious view avariciously.
Getting on your knees, he gingerly spread his legs for easier access. He inhaled sharply when you began to rub the bulge in his pants experimentally, slowly unbuttoning and unzipping his trousers to release his length from the confines of his painfully constricting piece of clothe. Your eyes strayed from his to his crotch instead where you saw a tent forming underneath his briefs.
Wing didn’t know he could get anymore shameless as he watched you, with half lidded eyes, pulling down on the thin fabric to reveal his already hard cock. His length stood up to attention with the tip matching the pink hue on his face. It took all the will he had within him to remain calm and keep himself from losing composure by the intensity of your admiration towards his dick.
It was a size that satiated you, his girth was one that was appropriately proportional to him but you were more than happy to learn that his length was a bit bigger than average, letting Wing hit heavenly spots inside you that you alone could never imagine to reach with your dainty fingers. Taking in his cock in between your hands, you jerked him off in a slow and careful motion, watching him get even hotter as he struggled to keep his breath steady.
“A-Ahh..” he gasped and clenched onto the edges of the couch furiously as you stroked him lazily, paying extra attention on the underside of his dick where his vein pulsed out slightly.
Pretending to not notice his stifled whimpers and shudders, you’d hope that this would encourage him to let out his voice more. A bead of cum suddenly came from the tip of his reddened head as you squeezed onto his cock attentively. Wing saw exactly what you you did to him as his gut further constricted into a tight rope when you wiped the pearl of cum with your thumb and placed chaste kisses around the tip instead.
Gulping down the air greedily, he grit his teeth down harshly as he shifts his face when you gave him tiny licks around the tip of his dick, playing around with the edges of his head and his slit. Finally you took his whole head into your mouth where your soft and wet tongue freely enveloped him for a sweet moment before that pleasure intensified by you rubbing your silky soft mouth further into him. The kind of pleasure that had his toes curling and his eyes rolling back.
He couldn’t contain his moans anymore when you began to zealously suck at it, gripping at his base and occasionally rubbing on his balls. You hummed down pleasantly on his cock as you went further down on him, he could feel the repercussions of your vibrations travelling through him, pulling him closer to the edge.
This was a problem that Wing faced. If you continued to suck his dick while looking up at him with that pretty face of yours he’s afraid he could combust at any given moment.
In the midst of you going back to the tip of his head and teasing the slit to lap more of his precum before going back down to the base, Wing suddenly held onto your head to pull it back gently as if he would hurt you in the process.
“L-Let go, please l-let go sweetheart.” He hissed when you did so with a slightly audible pop as his cock recoiled up immediately after, slapping into his stomach with a wet sound from your saliva.
Guiding you back up on the seat with him, you straddled him with your legs on either side as he pulled your hips hesitantly closer towards his. You let out a breath of laugh when you found that Wing’s glasses has been crooked all this time. While you found it endearing and so heart wrenchingly cute, you pulled it to the side safely on a nearby table as he smiled sheepishly.
His slim fingers trailed slowly closer to your cunt, pleased to find it coated and dripping in your own slick. Shyly rubbing on your entrance you let out a dreamy sigh and held onto his said hand with the other on his tensed shoulder. Lifting your hips up higher his hands moved securely up to your sides. Looking up at you in a dazed state he could’ve easily mistook you for an angel by the way the moonlight was hitting your skin, making you glow ethereally.
As your lips hovered the tip of his cock, Wing tugged on your loosening robe letting the fabric pool down to the floor swiftly, revealing your bare self for his eyes only.
“Wing..” you sang before him as you sank slowly down on his dick, wrapping your arms around his neck and arching your back heavenly when you bottomed out. Gyrating on his length sensually, you felt him hitting your most sensitive parts with ease making you grip onto him as he hoarsely whispered out your name.
Pinching one of your peaked buds into his slightly calloused pointer finger and thumb, he rolled it fondly while he looked up earnestly at your response, going just a little rougher when you urged him on through your weak whines.
Mewling when he tugged and pinched onto your tits, you pushed out your chest out towards him more as he eagerly fondled your mounds, tracing his lips up from your sternum up to your neck kissing and nibbling the sensitive skin affectionately. Raising your hips up only to sink back down made your tight walls drag along his cock in all kinds directions sent butterflies flying in your stomach.
“You’re so pretty...” he breathed out absentmindedly as his thoughts were too preoccupied with how your plush walls hugged him in hot and sticky embrace. His hips moved up to meet yours, holding onto your ass this time, squeezing and groping them as he bounced you up and down.
“Wing,” you called out softly and in an instant he’s listening thoughtfully like an obedient little puppy. “Kiss me.” Immediately he leaned in to fulfil your wish, lips melding in with each other while encouraging you to open your mouth by flicking out his tongue occasionally in between to meet yours.
Though you felt like you were on floating with the stars, it still tugged on your heart strings that no amount of sex could ever placate his jealousy. Wing may say that regretted what he said, feel remorse or become apologetic but nothing in his words implied that what he said wasn’t true. At this point you were stuck in a cycle of his envy, forever trapped in trying to balance the fine line between his ever raging emotions into one that is complacent and calm.
However there’s no telling he would ever change soon. Sometimes you feel as if you might break down by trying to pick yourself apart and build yourself up to satisfy his ever so capricious moods. You don’t know how to be good enough for him, to be something he could trust, to convince him that he had you completely besotted.
Many might commend you for your love and patience for this man, his rancorous jealousy was one that wasn’t easy to handle. As words didn’t seem to work on him and so you naturally came to the conclusion to give him something in an attempt to show your feelings for him in the purest form.
It was something beyond sex, a conduit to express how much you cared for him and where he stood in your heart. Looking into his eyes, you attempt to show him how much you appreciated him, how much you were dedicated and loyal only to him, valuing every thing he taught you and expressing your gratitude for every time he made you feel loved and special.
Wing murmured out your name as his hips rocked furiously into you, feeling himself get closer to his edge. “A-Are you close?” He timidly asked as if wasn’t continuously
bouncing you on his cock. You nodded and cried out loud when he desperately rubbed onto your clit instantaneously making you see sparks fly. Holding onto Wing, you buried your face into his neck and muffled out your moans hoping that your cries didn’t traverse too much from your bedroom and into the quiet night.
Your orgasm was still coursing through you in jolts of electricity as he pumped his cock vigorously inside. Your plush, silky walls pulsed down on him tightly from your recent release had Wing closing his eyes and clenching on his teeth from the intensity. With a broken groan he buried himself forcefully all the way inside, letting his cum erupt from the tip and coat your cunt in white. The speed was unceremoniously welcomed, bursting out faster than you anticipated feeling the thick liquid filling up your insides.
Wing was heaving by the time he finished riding out his orgasm. Sweat perspired from the both of you as you could feel a bead rolling down your back and one along his face. He pulled out carefully and laid you against his chest, holding onto your hand to briefly kiss it on the back before rubbing it soothingly, basking in the serene afterglow that always came after.
“I hate it when we fight,” you murmured weakly while looking up at him languorously. Wing returned your pained eyes, bearing a guilty look.
“Me too,” he replied softly, holding your body even tighter and kissing at your shoulder sweetly.
The night always ended with him embracing you securely in his arms, the time where you felt the most safe and loved. Though there was a whisper at the back of your mind that reminded you this wasn’t the end, that you would have to endure far more of these days with him but nevertheless, you were going to continue to fight for him.
You’ve always pondered how long this would go on for but you have yet to contemplate on an even bigger conundrum. It wasn’t the matter of the time you should be worried about but when he would finally snap is the question.

music: kimi no na wa soundtrack – radwimps
Running with reckless abandon, a boy trips amidst the bustling public traffic in the station, books flying out of his arms from the sheer force of his turn. Passer-bys barely spared a glance at the panicked tutor as he bent down to gather his academic papers, all imprinted by strangers’ shoes. In a moment of lifelong embarrassment, the world continued to spin as nothing rippled the fabric of time.
Murmurs spread across the crowd, daily small talk between people who would never see each other again on the complex train system. Students shared personal gossip too loud for their own good as their prestigious private academy skirts flew past him. Businessmen burdened themselves with client phone calls as they were all weighed down by the same leather briefcase. Employees wore their customer service mask, smiling politely before dropping their act immediately afterwards when they thought no one was looking. As expected, there was no time in the schedule to stop and help a recent university graduate out of his clumsy peril. Everyone was too distracted by their own problems to consider breaking their routine.
Perceptive by nature, Tsukioka Tsumugi didn’t need to glance at his watch to know he was late to his study session. The automated female voice sounded dull over the speakers, announcing his designated train was to depart in five minutes in a monotone attitude. Tokyo was a busy city with no mercy for those who didn’t plan every second of their future. That much was understandable by the aspiring teacher who quickly pulled out his outdated flip phone as he carefully eyed the assignments back in his possession.
A single tone rang before a drawl was heard in poor quality, with a shit–eating grin Tsumugi knew all too well.
“Tsumu, did you finally realize I don’t need your tutoring?” Settsu Banri mocked, the distinct background noises of his new video game obsession making Tsumugi speed walk even faster. With his books held tight against his chest, he sighed and almost pinched the bridge of his nose before realizing none of his hands were free. Placing the phone in between his shoulder and ear, Tsumugi rolled his eyes as he attempted to organize his mess.
“Banri-kun, please refer to me as Tsukioka-san. I am your senior by years, if I may remind you.” Tsumugi reprimanded, noting Banri’s agitated groan and muttered under his breath about the age difference between them. Unlike the other students Tsumugi tutored, Banri was defiant. Over–the–top, lazy, and arrogant—but deadly smart. Ever since Tsumugi carefully took off his shoes in the Settsus’ overpriced apartment, Banri took it upon himself to make his life a living hell by refusing to do the work but getting every question right. The only thing Banri cooperated with was talking about video games, which distracted him from his innate ability to be the best at everything. So on Friday afternoons, Tsumugi would visit to recap the weekly curriculum and try his best to stay patient with Banri’s snappy attitude.
“Why’d you call anyways? You’re late, by the way.” Banri pointed out right before Tsumugi fell through the two closing doors on the train, tumbling into a displeased but silent group as he gripped the overhead. Spectators only stared for a second before turning away as Tsumugi blushed under the attention, stammering back a half–assed apology of how he was going to be twenty minutes late for their session.
“Hold on, am I talking to the right person? Tsukioka Tsumugi, late? Real funny, just tell me you quit or something.” Banri feigned a bothered persona, but it was nice to pretend he was actually worried over the possibility of not seeing Tsumugi. Apologizing quickly to a corporate worker he bumped into, Tsumugi fixed the bag slung too low on his right shoulder as he took the phone back in his hand. At the same time, the zipper on his decade old bag gave out as it took his foot’s entire strength to keep the folders in place. Great, another thing to replace.
Staring outside the window, the school year was coming to a close as the heat of incoming summer air made him grip the phone in case of vicious sweat. “Banri–kun, you know I value our study sessions together.” He didn’t respond, just a resigned hmph before hanging up as Banri started swearing into his gaming headset. Tsumugi closed his eyes, getting his minutes of shut-eye for the first time in days as the sun glowed. Time didn’t stop for anyone, especially not Tsukioka Tsumugi.
After being greeted way too properly by the Settsu chain of servants, Tsumugi could hear the exaggerated game sound effects throughout the rather empty mansion. Walking carefully into Banri’s wide open door, Tsumugi grimaced at the sight of the energy drink cans crushed and thrown haphazardly near the trash can. Junk food wrappers were kicked underneath the expensive furniture as Banri was focused on his two–screen gaming setup. The rainbow LED keyboard was smashed expertly by Banri’s quick fingers all without looking down, getting him a #1 win as he boredly stared at the victory. As expected of NEO-san, a top league player. Or so Tsumugi’s heard by his other student, Taichi, who dramatically cries every time he loses against Banri.
“Banri-kun, please excuse my interruption.” Tsumugi announced, holding up the textbooks he had carried with a strained smile. Banri didn’t even look over as he logged off, saying something about GG to his teammate by the name of “Taruchi” before pushing the cat headset down around his neck. Spinning around in his black gamer chair, Banri raised one eyebrow at Tsumugi’s disheveled appearance panting slightly in the doorway. It was unlike his composed, proper tutor to be... like every young adult out there? Tsumugi didn’t seem like he had all the wisdom and knowledge in the world, he looked more... confused than anything.
“Geez, Tsumu. Didn’t think you’d sleep in, watched the meteor strike last night?” Banri smirked, rolling his chair across the room to his school desk as he put his legs up, stretching his arms beneath his head lazily. How he hadn't changed out of his white t-shirt and sweatpants was beyond Tsumugi as he sat in his normal chair silently, unlike the loud high schooler who glanced at the folder of work with a yawn. Grabbing some trendy bucket hat, Banri shoved the brim over his eyes as he took a break from the flashing neon blue light from his monitor.
“Meteor strike?” Tsumugi questioned innocently, attempting to hold conversation as Banri hummed a game soundtrack absentmindedly. Nodding, Banri pulled up his modern phone that made Tsumugi wince thinking of the price of that thing. Shoving the screen in front of Tsumugi’s wary red eyes, he blinked rapidly to adjust to the bright overpowering pixels. Tsumugi noticed an event marked that raved about the phenomenal light show the day before. Thinking back on the train incident this morning, Tsumugi remembered the excitement buzzing through the students a week prior as they whispered about a new chance to wear their best yukatas to celebrate. It had been so long since he was in school, that he completely forgot about all the childish euphoria that came with change.
“I must’ve slept through it. I didn’t notice at all.” Tsumugi admitted, tilting his head as he tried to remember the news every morning the past week. He couldn’t remember a single story of the astronomical event, although every day felt the same as usual. It was peculiar; Tsumugi was awake all night, too. He couldn’t sleep without his medication... maybe he should have looked up for once.
Taking his phone back to check the game notification popping up on screen, Banri chuckled as he shoved a stick of chocolate pocky in his mouth. “Mhmm, said it was a historical event n’ all. Supposed to be life-changing.” Banri offered bare minimum detail on anything and everything, but it was enough for Tsumugi to have a slight understanding as he set up the workspace. Banri noticed the distant look in Tsumugi’s eyes, the tiredness stifled underneath the graceful mannerisms as it looked like he was going through the motions. Attempting to lighten the mood, Banri’s voice came off meaner than he intended. “Aren’t you like? 25? How come you don’t know this stuff, you’re no boomer.”
Tsumugi frowned, glancing at Banri who looked away immediately with a flustered expression. Leave it to Banri to overthink whether or not he overstepped a boundary but refuse to acknowledge it. Tsumugi kept the meme going, sarcastically deadpanning, “Haha” before tossing a new eraser at Banri’s mushroom hair. Banri caught the gift in one hand easily as he slowly turned it over, turning his body to fully face his tutor. His feet dropped to the floor with a bang, startling Tsumugi to straighten his posture and stare directly into Banri’s curious face that had a glint of... concern?
“What’s all this? A gift to make me like you or something?” Banri jokes, nudging Tsumugi’s foot with his own. Tsumugi couldn’t help but notice the tight death grip Banri had on the small, game controller shaped eraser he had found at his full time work as a florist. Across the street was a one dollar convenience store, where teenage workers stood at the register on their phones as Tsumugi checked out the stationary. Wearing his dirt–stained apron, he remembered coming across miniature, adorable erasers that made him think of his students. Especially the red and blue Nintendo Switch joy con erasers that made Tsumugi think of Banri’s whole rant about the superiority of Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ Black Eagles for the potential wife girls. Sure, it was a hit on his already fragile bank account, but it was worth it to see Banri genuinely happy about something for once.
“You already do, I’m the longest tutor you’ve had.” Tsumugi didn’t need the thanks, because it was clear in the way Banri for once put something down without throwing it. Banri scoffed, mumbling a weak comeback as he flipped open his notebook. He even tossed his hat off his head, revealing the messy long hair tucked behind his ears. Oh, he did his homework for once, Tsumugi mused with satisfaction before trying to flip to the appropriate page in the school’s textbook. It was open to a section on meteors, and glossy colored pictures of the sky made Tsumugi’s eyes focus. The image seemed familiar. Perhaps he stared a moment too long, because Banri took the book himself and thumbed his way to the marked section, warily sparing a careful glance.
“Hey... you good? You don’t look... normal.” Banri roughly phrased, trying his best to emote like a normal human would. Tsumugi nodded, not convincing anyone he was off. Brushing his sweaty palms upon his jeans, Tsumugi pushed his hair back as he started reciting what he knew of the topic and reviewed the homework, failing to catch Banri’s attentive stare at Tsumugi’s cheap, hole-ridden pants and bag bursting at the seams.
Tsumugi went back on the same train. The people were the same, his schedule was the same. Banri was different today though, paid more attention today despite knowing it already. Maybe he just wanted to get it over with, probably some tournament tonight.
In the face of the orange sunset above the skyscrapers, Tsumugi walked home with a slow, natural pace that fit his time slot he allocated for transportation. The mental reminder allowed him to look up for once, seeing the birds fly together around the quieter part of the city as a golden haze reflected off the glass. Community members said their usual predictable greetings as he waved back, respectfully wishing good health to his elders and telling funny jokes to the youth playing sports. Yet, it didn’t bring him the fulfillment he got before when he was young. Being an adult, was tiring.
It was the same everyday, as Tsumugi left the residential area and climbed through the back alley to a slum part of town. Lights flickered as abandoned businesses creaked amidst the silence. He escaped the prying eyes of neighbors and unlocked the door to his dingy, unsafe apartment. Closing the door quietly, Tsumugi stared at the studio as silence overtook his surroundings. Dust floated in the golden hour as everything was where he exactly left it.
“Welcome home.” Tsumugi whispered, his own voice echoing in between his four walls. Alone, again. It was the same everyday.
Heating up the instant ramen expired in his cupboard, the microwave sparked every once in a while as Tsumugi leaned against the counter. Each surface he touched creaked with uncertainty, as if it didn’t know how long it could last. His one–room housing felt cramped despite the lack of furniture around Tsumugi. His run–down appliances, aged decor, and rising rent made the location even better as Tsumugi did the usual routine of eating half the calories he needed and staying up browsing job listings. This time, the ramen wasn’t as satisfying as the pastry Banri stuffed in his hand before he left.
“What’s this?” Tsumugi remembered asking, immediately feeling sick to his stomach once he saw Banri’s serious expression stare back at him. At the moment, it felt like Banri was his teacher. The sweet, strawberry mochi wrapped in plastic felt warm in his palm as Banri stood at the door of his own home, leading Tsumugi out with a gift.
“Mochi. You’re Japanese, dipshit. Just a thanks, I guess.” Banri bullshitted, rolling his eyes as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. Tsumugi noticed they began to fidget a little bit as Banri tapped his foot against the welcome mat. “School punk named Juza bakes or whatever, has a family business so thought you might like it. Or whatever.” Banri elaborated, using one hand to tug at the already loose v–neck collar of his week old t–shirt. Was that a blush Tsumugi saw on his rather indifferent student? No matter, it wasn’t his business to ask about a troublemaker turned pastry chef.
He’d make sure to thank his student next time he tutored him, which would be (Tsumugi checked the wall calendar disappointedly) next week. Banri was a good kid, even if he had his teenage angsty rebellion phase for a while now. Privileged kids liked doing that, pretending the whole world was against them despite having everything, Tsumugi thought bitterly. Even he was slightly surprised and caught off guard by his own pessimism, before the microwave beeped, signaling its task was done.
When Tsumugi tried to pull open the door, the handle snapped off and a quiet sigh escaped Tsumugi’s lips. Guess no dinner for tonight, then. Tsumugi didn’t have enough fight in him to care, so he dropped the handle onto the counter with a clatter. Inside this studio room, there was nothing for Tsumugi here. Not even his own food.
So, Tsumugi sat down on the couch that groaned beneath his weight. Except, it wasn’t his own body that made his sofa creak—it was the stack of papers needing to be graded in his arms. With a red pen tucked behind his ear, Tsumugi began marking his students’ work. A minute passed before Tsumugi quickly turned the television on, letting the sound of the news distract him from the unbearable loneliness.
Sure, it was going to increase his bills but... the money would be worth it to make his thoughts quiet for a moment. Tsumugi had a job to do, and he wouldn’t let his mindset get in the way. Being an adult was something else, indeed.
When had he fallen asleep?
Tsumugi blinked slowly, finding that his cheek was resting against a substantially smaller stack. Another pile that was distinctly red ink was on the other cushion, the pen without its cap rolled across the carpet. Tsumugi subconsciously winced when he realized the T.V. was on, the same channel on in the background.
Lifting his head, Tsumugi tried to comprehend the visual of the screen through his blurry vision. Tsumugi’s glasses must’ve dropped somewhere; he hoped he didn’t step on them. From what he could hear, the duo of news anchors were animatedly discussing some supernatural phenomenon tonight. Tsumugi rubbed his eyes, leaning closer to the small box screen ahead.
There was no way he possibly heard that correctly. Yet, there it was on the T.V.: “Historical Meteor Shower Tonight!” in big bold letters at the bottom. Tsumugi could remember Banri talking about something like this, but it had occurred last night. Was there another one? How common was it for two meteor showers within a span of mere hours? Sitting up, Tsumugi watched the pair talk about the light show.
“This is said to be the first event of its kind in Japan!” The host exclaimed, the screen switching to a picture of the meteors. A sense of familiarity struck Tsumugi once more, the same feeling when he had seen Banri’s textbook earlier that day. “It’s said to be life–changing—” The other one replied, Tsumugi’s wide eyes focused on every single passing word and image. Could deja vu possibly last this long?
As Tsumugi fumbled for his phone, he made his way out onto his balcony. Something inside him was telling him to get some air as Tsumugi dialed Banri’s number. Before Tsumugi could confirm the call, a bright light appeared out of the corner of his eye.
Tsumugi looked up to see two bright meteors splitting from one another. At the sight, Tsumugi’s phone landed upon the balcony floor.

Pairings: Kakashi x F!Reader, Onesided! Dabi x F!Reader
Warning: ooc characters, mentions of blood, dead body and major character death.
A/N: reposting this since tumbler wouldn’t let my posts appear.
this is what happens when you watch the scene of Carla’s death on repeat and listen to Eren’s YAMEROOO!!
also, I intentionally wrote dabi with his white hair and kept his chosen name.
as always, big thanks for the lovely @runeterrankhaleesi for proof reading this fic!
The Sunday market was buzzing like a group of honeybees in their hive despite it being so early in the morning. The people were cheery and had a smile as they presented their products, selling or trading it with their clients.
Y/N was looking at a basket of black berries, trying to determine which one looked the juiciest to purchase for her infamous black berry cake, when she felt a heavy arm snake itself around her shoulders.
“Morning, doll.” Greeted Dabi with a sleazy smile, his body reeked of alcohol and sweat.
Rolling her eyes, Y/N shrugged the arm off her shoulder and pointed at the pile of berries for the farmer to bag up for her. “Two dozens please.” She politely requested.
After she had paid and placed the bag of berries into her basket, she made her way to her next destination. “Whatcha baking today?” asked Dabi as he hooked his finger around a lock of hair that managed to fall out of Y/N’s bun and twirl it around his finger.
“Black berry cake.” She replied, seeming unaware of the finger in her hair as she glanced at the pile of wild mushrooms.
“For me? Awwww, you shouldn’t have!”
“You wish.” snorted Y/N, “It’s for the bakery. You want it? Then you have to pay for it.” She had a cheeky smirk as she held out her open palm to Dabi.
“Oh, I’ll pay.” A wicked grin grew on his lips, “But not in money.” He wiggled his eyebrows and Y/N immediately punched his chest.
“Be glad Kakashi isn’t here, otherwise he would’ve offered you to the Titans.”
It was Dabi’s turn to snort, “Please, what can a teacher do other than lecture me to death?” He then rolled his azure eyes. “Besides, he won’t stand a chance against someone in the Garrison Regiment.”
Y/N just scoffed as she continued shopping for her bakery and what she needed for dinner later that night.
In the middle of their banter, someone from the Garrison Regiment with blonde hair and kohled eyes waved Dabi over for a quick game of poker. The blue eyed young man waved back, pinched Y/N’s cheek despite her being older than him and stole an apple from her before running off to play a couple of rounds with his buddies. No doubt getting shit faced again.
Y/N shook her head. Although Dabi had the honor to work with the Survey Corps thanks to his father’s high ranked position and insane amount of power that he held, Dabi turned down his father and signed himself up with an easy going, albeit lazy, department.
Though, Y/N didn’t blame Dabi. His father was a horrible man and was the reason for most of Dabi’s burns on his body. He resented his father due to his mistreatment towards his family, especially Dabi’s mom who ended up hanging herself after unbarring the guilt for pouring boiling water onto her youngest child.
Kakashi and Y/N had known Dabi most of their lives, what with Dabi being Kakashi’s former student about ten years ago, they knew that Dabi was attached to them even though he refused to admit it.
Though, in recent years, there was a strain in Dabi and Kakashi’s relationship due to the younger of the two developing a not-so-innocent crush on Y/N. He couldn’t help it. She was kind, strong and brave. She was one of the few people who stood up to his father, Enji had tried to drag Dabi back to Wall Sina after he found out that Dabi turned down the Survey Corps’ offer after all the strings he pulled through.
Having had enough, the trio had all moved to Wall Maria and settled down in Shiganshina district.
The trio’s bond grew stronger with each passing day and they almost resembled a dysfunctional family. However, that bond almost broke when Kakashi had finally managed to propose to Y/N and Dabi had stormed off, falling off the radar for days.
Kakashi and Y/N had searched for him in all of the places they thought they could find him. It took them almost an entire week to locate his exact location and the first thing Y/N had done when she spotted Dabi’s white tuft of hair sprawled on some woman’s breast inside a small bar that reeked of vomit and phlegm, was to give him a well-deserved slap.
The tears which had gathered in the corner of her eyes did not fall as she glared at him.
“How dare you.” She spat.
Before Dabi could have the chance to apologize, Y/N turned and stormed out of the bar. Not wanting to hear any of Dabi’s pathetic excuses.
Dabi’s blue eyes met Kakashi’s grey ones. “I’m sorry.” Was all that he could offer to the older man who Dabi once saw as a man he could respect and admire.
Kakashi just sighed and nodded with his head to follow after Y/N.
“Just know that she barely managed to get two hours of sleep each night and had to close the shop the past week to go look for you. You owe her.” said the silver haired man. Dabi just lowered his head in shame.
Hours later when Y/N had served dinner for everyone, Dabi stared at her with hopeful eyes as he wanted to take advantage of dinner time to apologize to the one person he loved more than himself, seeing as she had been avoiding him throughout the day.
Though the hope in his eyes diminished when she didn’t sit at her usual chair, instead going up the stairs.
Casting a questioning glance at his former teacher, Kakashi simply grunted. “Roof.”
Y/N was leaning against the edge of the rooftop, her head tilted upwards to gaze at the million stars littering the ink black night sky.
In the years that Dabi had known Y/N, he never knew that the older woman would be at the rooftop whenever she was upset. Guess there were a lot of things to learn about Y/N, and that Kakashi and Y/N were meant to be together.
His mind had told him, repeatedly, that he wasn’t right for Y/N. That he didn’t know much about her, other than the fact that she was his savior. He had just followed her around like some lost puppy and clung to her like a child would to his mother.
Now that he thought about it, the two never had any instances which allowed for their love to blossom. Y/N protected him. Y/N was kind to him. Y/N supported him but she didn’t love him. At least not the same way she loved Kakashi.
“I’m sorry, Y/N.” Dabi apologized with a quiet tone of voice as he hesitantly approached the older woman and stood a few feet away from where she was standing.
“I was wrongfully jealous-of Kakashi and of the love you both had for each other.” He then ran his burnt fingers through his white hair. “I guess I always thought that I would be the one to marry you. And I thought the feeling was mutual but I was wrong.” sighed Dabi.
Y/N, however, said nothing as she stared down at the village below.
“It was childish of me to run away, I admit that. But I was hurt and felt betrayed. I wasn’t aware of how you felt for each other. I did sneak my way into your little world, after all.”
“Y/N…Please, I’m so sorry.” Dabi pleaded and slid his hand to cover Y/N’s smaller one.
“I’m not mad.” She finally spoke. Her voice sounded rough, an aftermath of not speaking to anyone throughout the day, not even to Kakashi. She sounded tired and Dabi bit his charred lip, well aware that he was the cause for her distress.
“I’m just disappointed of how you reacted.” She faced him and Dabi’s breath caught in his throat at the expression on Y/N’s beautiful face. She looked frightened, troubled and on the verge of crying. Dabi wanted to punch himself.
“You took off without saying a word. I waited the whole night for you to return and when you didn’t, I went to look for you because I thought you were in trouble!” She choked through the tears.
Dabi wanted to inform her that there was no way any harm could come his way as he was very strong and could protect himself but the inner voice in his head advised him against that, and instead, opted to listen to Y/N’s teary rant. He was itching to hold her in his burnt arms. He longed to bury his nose into her hair to somehow sedate her and ease her anxieties. He wanted to do whatever he could to earn her forgiveness.
“Promise me.” She said through clenched teeth. “Promise me that you won’t ever do something stupid like that ever again! Promise that you won’t leave me.”
Staring deeply into her eyes, Dabi’s expression became serious as he whispered. “I promise.”
Dabi had expected that he was forgiven, that he would receive a hug from Y/N but all that he had received in return was a nod of her head and a soft, “Good night, Dabi.” Before she made her way inside.
He watched her go and he wasn’t surprised to see Kakashi standing by the doorway.
“I’m holding you to that promise.” The teacher stated with an air of finality after he followed after his fiance.
And ever since that incident, Dabi and Y/N were stronger than ever. Even Dabi’s respect for Kakashi was rebuilt from the ground up and his admiration for his former teacher had returned. Though, the cheeky bastard would still tease the silver haired man about stealing Y/N the second she grew bored of him. His jabs didn’t phase them. They knew that they loved each other too much to ever grow tired of the other person.
Even on their wedding day, the love they had in their eyes were exclusive for themselves and nobody else. Dabi was there, in the distance cheering them on and ignored the throbbing ache in his heart as they exchanged vows and kissed. Perhaps that was the reason why Dabi grew addicted to playing poker and drinking. Y/N, naturally, did not approve of such a lifestyle but as long as he returned home then it was all right.
“That’s all for today?” asked the fisherman when he spotted Y/N make her way towards the exit of the Sunday market as he washed his fish to place on display.
“ M’fraid so!” She giggled at the old man.
“Better let me know when you’re done with that cake! My wife’s been on my back nagging me to buy her one since last week!” He imitated the way his wife spoke and Y/N smothered her laugh behind the back of her hand, gently shaking her head at the old man. She wondered if that’s how she and Kakashi would be like when they were older.
“I’ll see you arou-”
KRAAAAAAKK!
A sudden crack of lightning appeared which illuminated the sky into a blinding yellow color that was then followed by a gust of wind that was unbearably warm.
Y/N had fallen into the ground at the sudden commotion, her groceries scattered around her.
And as instant as the lightning had appeared, a dark shadow hung above them and Y/N tore her eyes from the scab wounds on her hands that protected her fall to stare at the giant wall in front of her. And what she saw stole her breath away. Literally.
There, in the distance, stood a Titan. It’s expressionless face gazed down at them. Although its face was void of emotions, Y/N could’ve sworn that it was silently judging them. As if to determine which punishment was suitable for their crimes. What crimes had they committed? She didn’t know.
Within seconds, the Titan’s fist came down on the wall and life returned to the village as screams of anguish filled the open air.
Y/N stared with unseeing eyes at the madness before her.
Living in the inner walls, she never really feared the Titans, almost didn’t believe in their existence due to the tranquility of her village. But ever since she had moved to Shiganshina and had seen groups of priests preaching about their demise and humanity’s downfall, she would toy with the idea that they might be attacked by the monsters one day- just to humor herself. She never believed that that would actually come, especially so soon.
It was the crash of the boulder landing on the market behind her which smothered the screams of the shop owners and buyers, did Y/N snap out of her daze. Turning around, she was greeted with the horrendous sight of blood splattered all over the ground, limbs and intestines could be vividly seen.
Y/N’s eyes rapidly filled with tears as she covered her mouth to prevent the scream from erupting.
Just as she stood up on her wobbly feet, she heard someone screech that the Titans had breached the wall.
Horrified and having a difficult time believing what was happening, Y/N quickly steadied herself and ran towards her house. She had to go and save Kakashi. She had to let him know that the wall had been breached and the Titans had invaded. They needed to take all their required documents to return to their home village. They had to-
Coming to a slow stop, Y/N was stupefied at the sight before her.
What once used to be a row of two story houses was nothing but a pile of wood and stone.
“No.” She heard herself whisper.
And in a daze, as if being pulled by a magnet, she made her way towards her house; the third building on the right with a sandy colored brick wall.
But her house was no longer where it stood.
Brick, debris and fallen clothing that she had personally hung this morning before heading to the Sunday market all lay on the ground, covered in blood and dirt.
Cautious and frightened, she slowly made her way to the biggest pile and began to dig, praying that she won’t find the dead body of her husband, her beloved, Hatake Kakashi. He had to be alive. They had a long journey ahead of them. They dreamed of having children of their own, of opening a school for those unfortunate children of fallen soldiers from Survey Corps. It’s ludicrous to even imagine Kakashi dead, his lifeless eyes staring at her.
“Y/N.”
The scratchy call of her name urged her to dig faster and deeper and her heart dropped to her stomach when she spotted Kakashi’s grey hair covered in dirt. Hurriedly, she removed most of the stone and debris covering his upper body but she could do nothing about the wood that had fallen on his legs.
“Y/N.” Kakashi rasped again and she desperately tried not to break down and cry in horror.
“Go.” He coughed. “Save..yo-yourself.”
But his words fell on deaf ears as Y/N perilously tried to pull Kakashi out from the pile of wood.
In the distance, a large looking Titan was making its way towards their house but its presence was only acknowledged by Kakashi as Y/N was busy trying to get him out. And he felt his heart sore at her dedication and loyalty. At her unfaltering love. But there was no way that the two of them could survive the Titan that was getting closer by the second.
Kakashi had woken up that morning by playful kisses from his wife that turned into a quick session of love making before she had to bathe and head to the market to buy the ingredients she wanted for tomorrow’s bake sale while he stayed at home to grade his students homework.
He was in the middle of complimenting a rowdy and loud child who had convinced himself that he was not suitable for school and would be better off joining the military when Kakashi had heard the sudden crack in the sky. His house rumbled and his teacup crashed to the floor. Just as he was about to lean down to retrieve it, the walls around him crumbled.
When he came to, he was nauseated by the dead bodies and blood splatter that covered his neighborhood. Gone were the colorful flowers that him and his neighbors had spent years growing.
And when Kakashi spotted his wife with terror written on her face, he already knew of his fate. His legs felt too numb and his abdomen burned, his mind screamed at him that he was a lost cause but his heart had a small flicker of hope to survive. But that was pushed to the back of his mind the second he heard something snap in the distance and he weakly turned his head and spotted a Titan coming towards them. Its hideous flesh was an image that Kakashi could never forget.
“Y/N, STOP BEING SO STUPID AND RUN!” Snapped Kakashi in desperation.
“NO! HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT? I’M GOING TO SAVE YOU!” screamed Y/N as an endless waterfall of tears streamed down her dirt-caked cheeks.
Kakashi would’ve growled in frustration at Y/N’s stubbornness had he not been so weak. He loved his wife dearly, even when she was being hot headed as they were about to die.
“Y/N.” He choked. “Please.”
And, as if becoming aware of her surroundings, she stopped what she was doing and spotted the Titan that was just down the block. And Kakashi knew. Kakashi knew that Y/N was conscious of the situation at hand; she either had to save herself and leave Kakashi behind or they will both get eaten by the Titan. And knowing the love of his life, Kakashi knew that Y/N would choose the latter.
“Kakashi.” She called for him and his heart skipped a beat, “I love you.” she gave him a broken smile and he wanted to cry in anguish. If only…
“Have no fear, your hero is here!” And in came Dabi, zooming into the area with his ODM gear. And, for once in his life, Kakashi was grateful for his appearance.
“Dabi!” Y/N cried, as if an angel had descended from heaven to rescue them.
He ruffled her hair as he smugly approached the fallen house to help Kakashi from under the rubble.
“Go.” Kakashi whispered. “My legs have been crushed and I’ve bled too much. I’ll only hold you back.” And as if to prove his point, Kakashi coughed and a splatter of blood landed on Dabi’s boots.
“But,” Dabi, who was just as stubborn as his wife, frowned at him, almost glaring. “How could you leave her?”
“Remember….Th-The promise.” And Dabi understood what Kakashi meant.
Kakashi had to leave Y/N but Dabi couldn’t as he made a promise to the both of them and he never broke a promise.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered through held back tears. He was scared to lose someone he considered a father figure. Even when he snatched Y/N away from him, Dabi never truly hated Kakashi.
“Don’t be.” Kakashi coughed. “I’m the…one who’s sorry.”
“Please hurry!”
With the final exchange of a silent message through their eyes, Dabi promising to take care of Y/N and Kakashi telling him to remind Y/N how much he loves her, Dabi took off.
“Let’s go.”
“Wait, what are you doing?” Y/N yelled indignantly, “What about Kakashi?”
“Let’s go, Y/N. He’ll only slow us dow- ” He was met with a slap.
“Fuck. You.”
Y/N bypassed Dabi to rescue Kakashi herself when she froze in place.
The Titan had arrived and it was digging through their house. Its mouth began to water when it spotted Kakashi’s disabled body and eagerly picked it up.
Time moved slowly as Y/N silently watched as the Titan brought Kakashi towards its wide open mouth, ignoring as Dabi tugged at her arm for them to escape.
When Y/N didn’t budge, Dabi was left with no choice but to pick Y/N up and sling her over his shoulder and run.
Despite the distance, she could spot the wetness on Kakashi’s cheeks and the small and apologetic smile that slowly stretched across his lips. “I love you.” He mouthed.
And, in a blink of an eye, the Titan’s teeth chomped down Kakashi’s body.
He didn’t scream because he refused to give such pleasure to the creature.
Kakashi could see through his hazy eyes as Dabi continued to run with Y/N slung over his shoulder. He held out until Dabi was able to use his ODM gear to carry them out of harm’s way and into safety.
“Take me with-” And the Titan’s teeth closed down on his neck, ending his words and his life.

Slipping Through My Fingers - Five
masterlist - ao3 - last chapter - next chapter
warnings: none
an: this chapter is ALSO a s h a w t y (wit a body ody ody) cause we gotta just flesh it out u kno ~development~ before the big ol shebang yerd? also spanish children’s songs go HARD.
“Alright, friends,” Elide said as she passed out a little packet of laminated letters to every student. “Today we’re going to start on our ABC’s. Who can tell me what ABC’s are?”
“Ko-Ko knows!” Esther shouted, always cheerleading her quiet friend. The redheaded five-year old was practically bouncing in her seat.
Elide bit down her smile and laugh, “Esther, remember our inside voices, ok? Kohana, do you want to share?”
He glanced unsurely towards Esther and she nodded, encouraging him. “ABC is letters. Ah-phabet.”
“Good job, Kohana, exactly. ABC’s are the letters that make our words,” she said, smiling at him. A little grin appeared on his face and Esther gave him a subtle high five. They were the cutest. “So, with our letters, friends, we’re going to learn the sounds they make!”
The rest of the morning went swimmingly and Elide was pleased with herself, with the success of her lesson. She sent her kids off to recess after lunch, waving goodbye. A hand tugged on one of the deep pockets of her painter-overalls and she looked down to see Kohana standing there, worry creasing his brow. “Elide, I don’t want it to rain.”
Elide glanced outside and saw the slight overcast. “Me neither. I don’t like the rain. Do you?”
He nodded slowly and Esther popped out of the cubby room, decked out in the brightest, sparkliest gumboots, a polka-dotted raincoat, and a rain hat to match plopped onto her crazy curls as well. “I love the rain! We’re going to make soup, right, Ko-Ko?”
Kohana looked up at Elide, his face brightening, “But I only like the rain sometime. I like the rain ‘cause me an’ my dad stay inside and we gots to watch a movie. Essie come over and watch movie too.”
“Oh, wow, I love movies! What’s your favourite?”
“Like Space Jam. Dad likes MJ. I likes Buggsie Bunny, Essie likes Buggsie Bunny too. But she like other movie too.”
“Oui, j’adore Buggsie Bunny!”
Kohana giggled and Esther hooked her arm through his. “Bye bye, Elide!” She was dragging Kohana out behind her before Elide could wave good-bye.
+*+*+*+*+*+*
Rolfe smiled as Kohana and Esther raced each other to reach him, their little backpacks slapping against their backs. “Rolfe!” “Papi!”
He waved to Elide, indicating he got the little ones as he crouched and hugged them. “What’s up, munchkins? How was school today?”
“We learned letter sounds,” Kohana said, taking the hand Rolfe held out to him as he stood up, Esther taking his other hand. “ABC sounds.”
“Was that fun?”
“Yeah, but me and Essie already knowed that. A is ah, B is buh, C is cuh or kah. Blah.”
Esther giggled and let go of Rolfe’s hand to jump in a shallow puddle, barely a splash under her boots. Quickly, she ran back to Kohana and her father, walking to Rolfe’s car. “We goin’ to uncle L shop?”
“You know it,” Rolfe said, easily buckling the two of them into their booster seats. “Are you little devils hungry? Want some chicken nuggets?”
They squealed and nodded, babbling to each other as Rolfe slowly pulled out of the parking lot, turning onto the road that would take him to the nearest fast food place.
Soon enough, Kohana and Esther were happily munching on their snacks and sipping from the drinks he’d gotten them. “So, how’s school going, guys?” Rolfe looked into the rearview mirror. “Es? Ko?”
“Elide is so nice, papi. She lets me and Ko-Ko sit together all the time and we gets to be buddies for everything! I like playing time and Ko-Ko like reading time, so he sits on the mushroom and I sits with the dinosaurs and I talk and Ko-Ko looks at the books, right, Ko-Ko?”
“Yup! I looked at a book with bears today,” Kohana said, looking pleased as he sipped on his apple juice. “Do you like bears, Rolfe?”
“I do,” he hummed, winking at Esther, “but you wanna know what my favourite animal is?” They looked at him expectantly, their eyes wide wide open. “Sharks!”
Esther giggled and Kohana stared, “Sharks are scary.”
His bestest friend wiggled and began to sing a song about a shark that tried to trick the fish. “Tres pececitos se fueron a nadar, el más pequeñito se fue al fondo del mar… El tiburón le dijo ven acá…”
Rolfe watched his daughter show his nephew of sorts how to make a fish with his hands and the actions that went along with the song.
When they got to the mechanic shop, Kohana and Esther strained under their restraints, their empty food containers discarded on the floor. Rolfe didn’t mind it, if anything he was beaming at Esther’s influence on Kohana. The kid was itching to act out, even in such a simple way.
His serene behaviour was a worry for Lorcan.
Rolfe quickly unbuckled them before they hurt themselves and they were off, weaving and racing through the shop. They sought out Malakai first, who was sitting behind the front desk - fashioned out of the front end of a ‘57 Chevrolet Bel Air - sipping his coffee and reading the newspaper.
“Grampy!” They yelled in unison, launching themselves into his arms. At their voices, Ansel and Lorcan popped their heads out of the back office, smiling fondly at the sight. They strolled on out, Ansel wiping her hands on the pants of her navy blue coveralls. She had the sleeves tied around her waist and wore an old white wifebeater as her top.
“Hey, kiddos,” Ansel said and they hardly acknowledged her as Malakai withdrew two lollipops for them. She laughed and walked over to Rolfe, “Hello. How were the little ankle biters today?”
“Esther sang a very educational song about not trusting sharks and they chowed down on some chicken nuggets and apple juice,” he told her, pulling her closer with a hand on her waist and a hand cupping her face. “How was your day?” Ansel kissed him softly.
“Good, it was good. I think I figured out that engine block so,” she said, stepping back when Esther called for her. “Yes, my darling?”
“I need help!”
“That’s my cue,” Ansel quipped, saluting the two men as she went over to her daughter.
Lorcan rubbed the back of his neck, “So how was he?”
Rolfe nodded, “Good, he was good. He talks a lot about his teacher, you know? I think she’s really good for him. And Ess too.” Relief flashed over Lorcan’s face and Rolfe clapped his shoulder, “Hey, man, you’re doing a good job.”
Lorcan opened his mouth to say something when his son crashed into his legs, one hand reaching up to tap Lorcan’s hip and the other holding Ko’s prized candy. “Hi, Dad!”
Smiling, Lorcan leaned down and scooped him up, propping him on his hip. “Hey, kid.”
“Look, Dad, gots a candy!”
“Oh, cool, where’d you get that?”
“Grampy.”
Lorcan raised his voice, “Well that’s funny, I could’ve sworn Grampy knew that candy makes you hyper and makes me want to cry later at home.” Kohana just shrugged and popped his lollipop back in his mouth while Malakai laughed loudly, the sound coming from his belly. “How was school?”
“Learned ah-phabet sounds. I ‘ready know ah-phabet sounds,” Kohana said, resting his head against Lorcan’s shoulder. “Can I help you with a car?”
“Always, bud,” Lorcan said, nodding at Rolfe and the others before carrying Kohana away. “Hungry?”
“Nope, got chicky nuggies. And A-for-Apple juice,” Kohana babbled, subconsciously switching his language and kicking out his legs. “Look, até, gots frogs on my boots. I eated with Essie and then we ‘plashed in puddle and made soup-soup and Essie played with dinos and I looked at a book of bears. I like bears, do you like bears?”
“I do like bears,” Lorcan replied, keeping his voice even even though internally he was ecstatic at the amount Kohana was talking right now. He didn’t know how much influence was Esther’s or Elide’s, but he thanked the gods for them, no matter the awkward and stilted relationship to the latter. “What else did you get up to?”
Kohana shrugged and wiggled to be put down. Lorcan obliged and they walked together into Lorcan’s car bay. “Not much, Dad. Gots help Essie with inside voice, but Essie help me with outside voice. Much louder now, when we go outside, do you wanna hear my outside voice?”
“Of course,” Lorcan replied, his heart cracking just a bit more. Kohana stuck his lollipop in his mouth and clambered onto the cushioned stool by the tool cart. Every morning, it was meticulously organized, but by the end of the day, it looked like a tornado had gone through it. Lorcan took the other stool by the open hood of one of his regular’s cars. Each repair was futile, merely putting off the inevitable, but the man tipped well, listened to Lorcan’s instructions and didn’t argue with anything he was told so, Lorcan had no complaints.
He glanced into the engine, sussing out which tool he would need and then the reachability of his son’s arms, trying to decide what he could make do with. “K-Man, pass me that socket wrench, yeah?”
“Here you go!” Kohana chirped, shoving off the cart with his two feet on the rolling stool after he grabbed the shiny tool. “Here you go, Dad.”
Lorcan chuckled and kissed his son’s forehead, “Thank the Creator for you, kid.”

All Turtles Are Good, Even the Ones That Kill People! (Gamera: the Giant Monster, 1965)
So I'm on week two of being unable to make text posts on desktop tumblr, so once again I'm stuck on my phone. One day I'll type this up and then just transfer it over or something but for now I'm doing it like a savage.
And HOO BOY we're finally here - the Gamera series. I've been both looking forward to and dreading this moment; I've seen all these movies before but never really tried to sit down and get my thoughts on them in order, and you had better believe I have some thoughts.
For starters, we have to talk about what Gamera is, what he isn't, and what he represents. See until 1965, Toho was the sole purveyor of movies where guys in rubber suits stomped on cardboard buildings - no one had even tried to touch them, I'm guessing because of the cost and risk involved. These movies represented the cutting edge of special effects at the time, and building the heavy suits and the model sets required no small amount of time and money.
Gamera was set to change all that. The big turtle was the brainchild of Daiei studios, the team behind the Zatoichi series and Whale God, the Moby Dick expy we covered earlier. Gamera came about after a ruinous project called Nezura, involving both a giant rat monster and scores of live rats meant to swarm over model sets, fell through due to the numerous technical difficulties associates with such a project. But Daiei wanted a giant monster movie damnit, and they were going to get it.
They weren't, however, quite ready to pony up for it. The first of the Gamera films was shot in a fairly limited budget, with director Noriaki Yuasa serving as both the director and the special effects director, while Niisan Takahashi penned the script. Yuasa would serve as the special effects director for every sequel until Gamera Super Monster finally put the pin in the whole affair in the 80s, and as Daiei didn't have an effects department, Yuasa more or less taught himself, a feat that really shouldn't be ingored.
Gamera the movie is, in a word then, cheap. It can't be ignored - it seeps into pretty much every corner of the movie, from the set design to the monster itself, especially considering the film is inexplicably in black and white, which I have to assume was a cost-cutting measure.
Anyway, Gamera wastes no time getting going. The movie starts with a group of researchers led by Dr. Hidaka (Eiji Funakoshi) meeting with the Eskimos somewhere in the Arctic to conduct science or something or other, it really doesn't matter, because before anything can get going, American and Soviet pilots get into a dogfight, causing one of the Russians to plummet into the ice and explode in a mushroom cloud.
Seemingly unconcerned by the blast (Dr. Hidaka remarks that they're "well outside of the fallout" in a way that would suggest he's discussing a rainstorm passing through), they quickly change their tune when a giant turtle crawls out of the ice, awakened by the atomic bomb. Not even five minutes in, and our monster is here. I can get behind this.
After some faffing around as the scientists discuss big turtles (as well as some really terrible english from the Japanese actors playing the Eskimos, for a reason I can't begin to fathom) we turn to our real protagonist, a weird little dweeb named Toshio (Yoshiro Uchida) who really, really likes turtles. He thinks they're so great that he barely even discusses anything else, to the point that his teachers are starting to get Worried.
Do you get it? You'd better be starting to get it, because the film is about to start beating you over the head. See, unlike Ishiro Honda and Shinichi Sekizawa at Toho who seemed to be at odds in the kinds of stories they wanted to tell, Yuasa and Takahashi were absolutely aiming to make children's entertainment here, which explains why Toshio pushes his way into the plot no matter how increasingly irrelevant he is. He clamours I to military meetings, scientific discussions, you name it, and Toshio is probably there, letting everyone who has ears to hear him know how great Gamera is and how there's no such thing as a bad turtle, a point the show really likes to harp on.
And to be frank, Toshio (Kenny in the notorious Sandy Frank dub) is special even among the pantheon of annoying child characters in kaiju films. His only real personality trait is his aggressive love of turtles, a fact that he seems to relish telling anyone and everyone about. His big sister and father seem lost as to what to do with him, and their relationship seems strained at the best of times, with almost all of their interactions devoted to lecturing the little twerp, which he honestly deserves.
Toshio quickly meets up with Gamera, who he immediately decides is his pet turtle all grown up, after which he embarks on a one-child quest to tell everyone that Gamera is a good turtle, actually, and that he doesn't actually want to hurt anyone.
This is in sharp contrast to Gamera's actual behavior, which amounts to stomping on buildings, torching civilians, and obliterating power plants. Those of you who know of Gamera as the notorious "friend to all children" he would later become are in for a surprise here, as aside from saving Toshio (which is never explained in any capacity) the big turtle just rampages around doing the usual kaiju tricks. This is at odds with how much Toshio loves and stands up for him, and it really makes the kid even more unlikeable as he tries to convince people how great and nice this walking natural disaster. If Gamera had been lured into attacking or mistreated that would be one thing, but there's no reason given for its rampages, which makes the argument that Gamera is a good guy a pretty hard sell.
And to be fair, the effects are solid, on par with a weaker Toho offering. The Gamera suit is at the very least interesting to look at, and the uncredited suit actors (Teruo Aragaki and Kazuo Yagi) often portray the big turtle crawling around on all fours, which at the time was quite new for the genre. While most of the effects are undeniably cheap, you can tell the team was trying here, and their heart shines through where the budget doesn't.
I haven't even brought up Gamera's ludicrous ability to retract his arms and legs into his shell and spin around with rocket boosters, or the bizarre plan the government finally concocts to get rid of the monster. There's a lot going on here, and at around 80 minutes, it breezes by. There's plenty of way installment weirdness, like Gamera's ability to jam radio transmissions, which as far as I know is never referenced again in the series, or its origins as a resident of Atlantis, a completely out of left field discovery that ends up meaning nothing at all, at least until the Hesei Gamera series decided to actually do something with it.
To finish out, we have to talk about how to watch Gamera. There are a few different ways to go - I got a hold of the Arrow Video set that includes both the original series and the four films made in the 90s and 2000s, but this set really put the "limit" in limited release. Scalpers bought it up at light speed, but if you're really interested, Arrow is putting out two more Gamera sets of these films that is slated for a February 2021 release. Otherwise, Amazon Prime has most of the dubs free for members, and honestly you're not missing much if you skip the Japanese versions, as the dubbers didn't make any cuts.
Is Gamera worth it for you? It really depends on how you feel about the genre and how much you can stomach its cheapness, as well as Toshio. The original Gamera is worth it as a snapshot of its era, and it can be fun to see a new monster going through the kaiju motions. Unlike some of the later imitators, Gamera has an undeniable charm to him, and his ability set is unique and bonkers enough to keep you interested. The ridiculous, breakneck plot is definitely a sign of things to come, as well as Toshio's pushy presence in the story, but all in all, Gamera has a place in the kaiju universe alongside Godzilla, the only competitor to win that distinction.

Found Part 2
Part 2:
Mary was excited but her life was not all fun or straight forward, you see she was not normal, and right okay that's a subjective word but this was serious. Mary was pretty sure that she wasn't human, at least not fully. For as long as she could remember she could fly, she knows that someone perhaps her parents, taught her how to control it, and she was strong, as in stronger than she should be for it to be considered normal. Mary was pretty sure she would have no trouble lifting a car over her head not that she has tried. But then it just got weirder from their. Okay so the older she got, the more tanned her skin got, no matter how much sun screen or foundation she used she just got more tinted as time went forward. Now that was weird but it was okay because no one else could see that. Which brings us to the other point, when she was dropped off at the orphanage, Sam the guy that dropped her off told her never to remove her earrings. She didn't understand why until they accidentally fell off while she was playing. The other kids ran from her, it took her a while before she found out why, for some odd reason when she took the ear rings off her eyes would lose the whites, as if the pupil would grow to obscure everything else. Eventually Sam had told her that she would be in trouble people saw her real eyes. Then he gave her another "holographic inhibitor" at least that's what he called them. He didn't elaborate, he never did, and when he talked about her parents, well she got the feeling that he wasn't all that close to them, but for some reason he always came, four times a year. This made her decision to leave and put as much distance and travel between herself and him as possible easy. With the constant traveling, no one really questioned her too much on her past, or where she got the 'cute little accessory pieces' that became her signature. She knew she had a past, people that cared about her but for whatever reason they seemed to be gone. The other weird issue, when her emotions would flare, or she was training particularly hard her hand would get hot as in higher than was possible for normal humans. And it wasn't just her hands, when she took the earrings off and would fly, her hair would light up blue, like her eyes, it was like her hair was on fire but not burning her. Sam trained her, taught her to fight but only on the orphanage grounds where Mary could get back to the employees if need be. He would help her practice focusing her energy so that she would accidentally hurt anyone or anything. She could stay consoled, he wanted to train her more, she knew that much but she would always end there training sessions by 'accidentally' hitting too hard and just barely hurting Sam or herself. He didn't like that, he would scowled her, but she just wanted to end the session before he brought up anymore training. When she got herself emancipated, she kept up the training by her self. Traveling models would often get gym privileges so it helped to get the excess energy out before she got herself riddled up. She was still in the home school program, with online classes and teachers available through chats all over the world she made her life work. But now it was time for a new leaf, she was planting some roots, after all the traveling she had done the past four years, she figured that she should settle somewhere, especially seeing as she was due to finish her online programs early so she should be applying to colleges by the next school year. Sure she could continue with the online deal, and go all over for the next couple years, but she wanted stability, she wanted somewhere to call home, and she wanted to be a decent distance from a good pizzeria so she could get an extra-large, extra cheese, mushroom, pepper, and pepperoni pizza whenever someone at work annoyed her. Gotham was as good as a place as any, sure it wasn't Metropellus or New York but it did have a really great university with an Environmental studies program and a potential job waiting for her. So once she finished her shoot in Bangkok she was on her way to the States, after saying goodbye or Chai-kian to her new friends at the cellphone company that she was just modeling their newest device for an ad she packed up her things, double checked that she made all her assignment submissions for the next three weeks(there is no way she was going to be studying by the time she gets to her new place) and went to the airport. Unfortunately, traveling alone she always got stopped by TSA, she was fine anywhere else in the world but for some reason the people in the US airports find it suspicious to see a minor on there own getting off of getting on an international flight. It was fine she was landing at night anyway so what did it matter, she also traveled light. With her job she doesn't really need much except for her in-flight toiletries, and a carry-on case with clothes to change into, she was an online learner so all her notes where on her computer anyway, except for her planner which she carried in her bag. She almost always stayed at hotels or with other models in the same accommodations, like bnd's. Still though there where a couple things that she worried about traveling with so when her manager decided to take a break from traveling with her she ended up shipping so items to her for safe keeping. She would use different P.O. boxes and make it a game for her manager, the woman appreciated a good scavenger hunt anyway and was more than happy to make sure the items reached her home safety. Still though she could do that quiet as often as it would be a strain on her budget, international shipping was horrendous.
