When literally everyone (including MS himself!) was cracking up over the “you may not touch him” bit that poor poor guardian reviewer must have been sitting there breathing a sigh of relief like “oh thank god they’ve been specifically instructed” cnskdjdksk

Dude that moment was THE funniest of the whole evening.

For those who haven’t seen it, the playwright specifically instructs the audience not to touch the actor lying on the stage on their way out and the audience starts laughing because the vibe of the entire night has been that everyone is trying to get a piece of Michael Sheen. And people laughed for so long that Michael Sheen (who was in character as “actor who is about to die”) completely broke and started giggling about it. Truly a play made for him

Holy fuck this concept is amazing and the casting on this is incredible, I do not have the money to go every night but I so fucking wish I did.

I took my mother to see White Rabbit Red Rabbit last night. This was my second performance. I went last month to see Olly Alexander, and last night got to see Sanjeev Bhaskar.

As someone who has dabbled in scriptwriting, I find the piece absolutely fascinating. It's tackling some big concepts in its 65 minute run time. It would be tempting as a writer to make the metaphors more clear cut than WRRR, which is gloriously complex.

Seeing it presented by two very different voices only increased my appreciation for the piece. If you have the chance to go see this show, do it.
