Curious Nature 🌼🐈 Sitting on the grass, I catch you staring at me. I can't help but wonder… Do you like what you see? You just smile to yourself, like you’ve already seen everything there is to see. Maybe for you, there are no mysteries left in life. But for me, there is still so much left to uncover, especially in moments like these.

When Love Comes Too Late: A Lesson in Embracing What Matters
There’s a moment that keeps replaying in my mind—a moment I can never take back, no matter how much I wish I could. The realization that I loved him didn’t come in a grand, cinematic epiphany. It crept in slowly, with quiet whispers of "what if?" and "why didn’t I see this before?"
We were friends, or so I thought. We laughed together, shared late-night conversations, and leaned on each other through hard times. I always admired how kind he was, how he seemed to understand me in ways no one else did. But I never let my mind wander too far. We were friends, and that’s all it could be—until I realized it wasn’t.
I noticed it when he started to drift away. Maybe it was the way his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes anymore, or how our conversations became shorter, less frequent. A part of me wondered if he had met someone else, and my chest tightened at the thought. That’s when it hit me. The feeling I couldn’t name before. The pull that was always there. I was in love with him.
But it was too late.
He had already moved on, found someone who saw what I hadn’t, someone who cherished him in ways I now longed to. All those moments we spent together came flooding back—times when he looked at me just a little too long, when he laughed a little too hard at my jokes, when his touch lingered. I saw it all in a different light, but it was a light that had dimmed for him.
I wanted to tell him. I thought maybe I could undo the distance that had grown between us. But what could I say? “I think I loved you all along, and I didn’t realize until you were gone”? It felt too selfish, too unfair. So I stayed quiet, and he stayed gone.
I often wonder if he knew. If, in some small way, he sensed it but got tired of waiting for me to catch up. I wish I had told him sooner. I wish I had let myself see what was right in front of me before it slipped through my fingers.
Now, I live with the bittersweet memory of what could have been. And as much as it hurts, I’ve learned something valuable from it all: love should never be ignored or taken for granted. If you feel it, even in the smallest of ways, don’t wait. Don’t assume there’s time. Because sometimes, when you finally realize the truth, it’s already too late.
And that’s a regret you carry with you, one that lingers long after the chance to make it right has passed.

Post It Note Poetry: Maybe I can love
The sun was bright that day
And I miss the way you sway
You in summers light
Was ever so bright
It put me in a trance
My heart didn’t stand a chance
The way your eyes light up
Sends everflowing water in my cup
I always said I was okay alone
But that was because I never had a home
And I hope right when I say
That even after a million days
There is nothing I want more
Then for you to stay.

You want to know what I find is very interesting? How, in Avatar: the Last Airbender, any of the nations can be the ‘bad guys’. And I find that the Fire Nation could be one of the least dangerous of Elements if the timeline was slightly shifted. exhibit A: Air, Water, and a bit of Earth is everywhere in the world. And with Metalbending from Toph, Earthbenders can bend almost everywhere. We breath air. We drink water. They could easily have taken over the world.
~Airbenders: If the Airbenders weren’t pacifists, they could enslave the entire world. Almost no one would want to go against them since they could literally make you stop breathing. They also would make it a slow death, suffocation takes time. 4-6 minutes, the earlier seconds and minutes leads to unconsciousness and damage to your brain, they could make you miserable if they so wish it. They could make you barely survive or keep you unconscious until you die from starvation, dehydration, or any other threat that you would not be able to defend against.
~Waterbenders: The Earth is covered in 70% water. Now, we don’t know how big or how much of the ATLA world is water, but based on the show, it’s a lot of water. Waterbenders could flood the world and then turn it into an ice age if there was enough or just a few super powerful Waterbenders. Flooding most often leads to drowning, and is the same with the Airbenders. Drowning takes time, your lungs filling up and that doesn’t include the hope of surviving. Some of the people may not know how to swim, either because they had no need to learn or because they never had the option to, they are the ones to die first. The ones that do know how to swim, they will have their hopes shattered of surviving, you can’t swim forever no matter how much stamina you have, you will lose energy and become tired, food and water are also an issue, assuming most of it is salt water. And the Southern Water Tribe are hunters, if there happens to be survivors, they would instantly be killed or taken prisoner and they Waterbenders win. Alternatively, we know they bend blood, and in the Legend of Korra it was used to control and take away peoples bending.
~Earthbenders: Simply, they could crush you with rocks, slit your throat with metal, or drowned you in sand. Alternatively, they could bury you so far underground with nothing but the clothes on your back with no way out. You’ll, again, have worries of food, water, and air. If they dig you far enough, you could burn to ashes if they bury you far enough to be near the world’s core, again assuming the world is similar to Earth. They could trap you anywhere, under the water, underground, or even just trap you where all can see with no way of escaping by yourself. And Mindbending, There is no war in Ba Sing Se, there are lots of opportunity’s of slavery and imprisonment. After all, there is always Earth beneath you, it just matters how far deep it is from where you stand.
Nonbenders: They can be just as dangerous as any of the benders. Sokka, for example, has mastered all nonbender forms of the four nations. Swords, fans, weapons, boomerrangs. We know how much damage humans in general can do. Nuclear weapons, machine guns, missiles. Without bending to fall back on, they are more driven to create and perfect weapons to be prepared to go against benders. That’s what many of the ATLA population did, they invented and adapted to make sure they could handle benders. Placing Earthbenders in wooden prisons or metal rigs on water. Chaining up Waterbenders and limiting their access to water. Freezing coolers so Firebenders that weren‘t taught by Uncle Iroh freeze and become unable to bend, taking then where the sun can‘t reach them. Nonbenders are just as dangerous, if not more.
~Firebenders: Of course, we can’t discount Firebenders. Sure they don’t need anything to be able to bend, but fire is also dangerous, just like every other element. There is explosions and fires getting out of control, consuming everything in its path until stopped. Though, out of all the other main elements, I feel the fire is one of the easiest to put out. Douse it in water, take away the oxygen, snuff it out with sand or dirt.
So while the Fire Nation was chosen to be the evil of the world, it could easily have been any other nation. It was just the events and culture in the ATLA timeline that ended up with the Fire Nation taking over for 100 years. For all elements have good and bad.
