So i want to increase my height. I'm 23 years old, female. I listened to many height subliminals. But didn’t increase 1 inch. What can i do???
So u said u didn’t increase, that’s mean that u are checking 3d instead of 4d, cause if you were reaching 4d you would see that you already have your desired height and would relax about it, remember that only your opinion and your vision of yourself matters, not others. If you are sure of this then it has already happened and it will reflect on 3d, as long as u feel it and maintain that state (that DOESNT mean u need to think about it all the time, just know that in your mind and live your life feeling what u would feel if your 3d was already align)

I went to the Ethical Consumer conference last week (I know they sound wanky but they're good people, been working with them support farmworkers unions for ages) and they did it on the theme of degrowth. I went to the economics of degrowth session and my god it drove me up the wall, one of the speakers basically saying economics is twaddle, impossible to understand because it is too mathsy (actual quote), it's all pale male and stale, and most the audience came away more confused than when they started. They didn't even define growth! I know a quite hippy magazine is not going to be a hub of political economy but economics understanding is so lowwww at the moment, especially compared to 10 years ago at the height of the anti austerity movement.
I was lucky enough to speak briefly on a panel and I used the 8 mins i had to speak to just set out the basic degrowth premise. Growth is defined as the increase in gross domestic product, the sum of all transactions, wages, investments, purchases in an economy in dollars. It is important because if you are seen as growing, your currency will be more valuable, it will be easier to borrow money on the world market, and attract foreign investment. If you are a poor country, with a weak currency (I.e. not pounds, euros, or dollars), you need to bring in a flow of foreign hard currencies in order to important the things you need (e.g. oil) from abroad.
This has several adverse effects. One is that the sale of goods produced in poor countries on the high streets of rich countries adds more to the rich country's growth than making it does to the poor countries. The selling of a t-shirt made in Bangladesh in an H&M in the UK will add more to the UK's economic growth than Bangladesh's (Sale price of: £4.95; £0.95 paid to the Bangladeshi factory; £3.94 pays for retailer, wholesaler, VAT and 60p profit for H&M; worker gets an 18th of a penny per shirt). The selling of bananas grown in Costa Rica in a UK supermarket will add 20.7p to Costa Rica’s GDP while 74.3p will be added to the UK’s GDP. The UK grows richer at the expense of poorer countries, by consuming the labour and resources of poor countries.
This approach also encourages poor countries to turn over their land from peasants, who produce food for their communities, over to large agroindustrial cash crops like coffee, bananas, and palm oil which bring in dollars at the cost of local people and the environment.
I was quite pleased that people came up to me afterwards telling me that they understood what I was saying and thanked me for explaining it to them. I don't understand why people who are meant to be experts in this are so bad at communicating economic ideas to people, it is not impossible to understand.

If I may ask, in your head what’s the height difference between Percy and Finnick in the story. The reason I ask is because there’s no definitive answer from what I’m seeing some people are claiming/ head cannoning that Finnick is 6’3 or even 6’5. Or what even is Percy’s height that you envisioned?
The true reason of heart that I am curious of this information is so I can properly envision the hand holding. You don’t understand how many time reread those two sections and let out various noises . I’m totally dealing this so normally, very maturely if I might add.

Lol this is one of those asks that you probably didn't expect me to have a lot of thoughts on, but I have a lot of thoughts on it.
Okay so, when I think about PJO character's heights, I like to think that all the demigods are like... stupidly tall. They're descended from gods who are 20 feet or something in their actual form, so it makes sense to me that their kids would all be tall. Now, this isn't canon because I'm pretty sure multiple demigod characters are described as short in the books, but I like to headcanon it anyway because it's a nice extra (and subtle) touch to show they aren't fully human. So, in my little non-canon fanfic, there aren't really any demigods shorter than like 5'8, and even that is *short* for them. Most demigods average like 5'11 to 6'0 for women and 6'2 to 6'3 for men. With that being said I don't remember Percy ever being described as particularly tall in the books? (I might be wrong on that though.) So, in my mind he's about 6'2. Maybe 6'3, which is normal for a healthy demigod his age :)
On the other hand, Hunger Games characters from the districts are, on the whole, food insecure. Katniss even talks about how her growth was stunted because of malnourishment. However, she contrasts this with the career kids who are bigger and stronger because they are better fed. Additionally, I can imagine that for a male tribute, like Finnick who presumably relied a lot on his strength to win, he must be pretty tall + strong. Plus, I think Katniss actually calls him tall in the books. (Once again, I don't have the books on me, so this is just my memory and I might be wrong). Anyway, I picture him as being around 6'1.
I definitely think Percy is the taller one, but not by a lot. And the only character I can picture being 6'5 is, like, Frank lol. (Okay, side note, I looked it up and apparently Frank is 6'5-6'6 according to the percy jackson wiki)

In recent days, "Bugbvie"(?) (I don't know what name to come up with for the city<:'() has experienced hot weather, which has increased the attractiveness of the water bodies many times over. The beaches are overcrowded. However, in the water people encounter an incomprehensible phenomenon - a long and round worm, reaching four meters in height, facing the department. Back then, they were only two meters tall and were already safe for insects, but now they have advanced and are now craving a new "home" in the bodies of insects. The body of a hairworm can reach three to four meters in length, but they are very thin.. It is usually inconspicuous in the water (the color can be either dark or light) and can easily get into the mouth. The female, when laying eggs, may grab you and forcefully push the eggs inside. The hairy one loves fresh water. It lives in streams, small rivers, lakes, ditches. But the most frequent appearance is the river - "Bagena", There are a lot of these worms there, and the mayor of the city said that the path to it should be closed. Hairworms crawl into the mouth through drink or food, and develop inside quite quickly. From egg to larva to full-fledged adult, the worms live inside, gradually turning the insects into "zombies". Worms easily take over the brain and turn it into mush, forcing the insect to go to a pond, where they later crawl out and lay eggs. Is it true that the hairworm — is a parasite? This is not true at all. It is not the worm itself that leads a parasitic lifestyle, but its larvae. Once inside the insect, they begin to absorb nutrients inside the stomach of their "host". At the end of its growth, the individual influences the behavior of its owner, forcing him to strive for water. After which, getting out, eating a hole into it. The insect after this...does not survive. But the praying mantises have adapted, and after such an experience, they can be restored.
One of them is — Tepvo! The hairy worm got out of the body too early and cannot even provide for itself without help. The "master" he was in, the fate is unknown, because I ("grandfather" Tepvo) found him hiding from the rays of the sun under a stone. He brought him home and became his guardian. Tepvo bites. Not literally. He is a very mean person and can hurt you, but he is trying to improve, thanks to.. my help💢. But if you see that he offends you, let me know. Tepvo is a domesticated worm. He will never bother anyone again. The bow on his neck is evidence of this - he is Domesticated

Back when everything used to be more primitive and simple. Lapis was born with very few siblings. He had mostly sisters and two brothers. Lapis didn’t hit his growth spurt until the start of his military training. He wasn’t all excited about going into battle or trying to climb ranks over the other irkens. He just wanted the military training and to grasp the skills given to him. The field he’s going for is more on the scout patrol. Seeking out new territories for his hive, but ran into trouble from a rival one, who used him to send a message to his citizens. If they wish to bot have their home become another gravesite, they’ll hand over all valuable belongings over to them.
Lapis refused this and said he will report them to the grand elders for such a threat. The elders are of one group of council members. They are the overseers of all of irk. All concerns go back to them and are settled accordingly to their laws. Lapis have only just finished his basic training and took notice that his height has increased again. At first it worried him. He’s only ever seen tallers of great importance. A commoner like him would just be seen as deformity in some way.
Lapis’s other siblings are off on their own after their training. Picking up jobs to serve their society. Lapis continued to be a scout patroller. His team of shorter irkens, accompanied him. Lapis made a mistake after he crossed enemy line and alarmed them. He and his core got out of there in one piece but after word got out what happened. There came a border skirmish between his hive and their neighbors. It lead to many deaths and injuries. Two of Lapis’s brothers are one of the fallen and he took this loss deeply.
The battle only ended after the enemy hive got what they wanted. Food,equipment supplies, weaponry, and most of their women. Lapis reported this to the elders in the capital of irk, but even after explaining everything. Those old geezers refused to retaliate. Lapis could not stand to leave the future of irk up to these guys, so he took it upon himself to help his people survive. Remembering how his parents did it, Lapis made his own wardrobe from scratch. His father being a blacksmith and his mother a silk threader. He took these skills he learned from them to boost the defenses and safety of his hive. He went out to scout again but for more resources that they’ve lost.
Lapis made it a point to not let his people go through that attack again. For someone who did not like to be the center of attention, is not taking charge as a leader. He became the first tallest in irk’s history. The members of his hive are mostly shorter drones. Only a handful are taller drones. Lapis command them and they followed him through the next battle. He made sure they were ready this time and prepared an ambush on the other hive. Sworming them but never attacking in the same spot. So many died that day but Lapis didn’t just win the battle. He won the respect and loyalty of both his hive and the other hive’s citizens.
“As a show of this new strength, Lapis and his soldiers, marched into the elder council’s office and force them to step down as the overseers. Which they did AFTER Lapis made an example out of one of the members by having him thrown out the office window. Once they’ve all agreed and decided to just retire into the city, Lapis took over. People stared addressing him as “My tallest.” He approves of this and has carried on his leadership for a few centuries. The only concern he has is what will happen once he’s gone? Who will lead his hive? Lapis decided to find his successor.
Many irkens raised their hands in hope they will be chosen but he turned them down and stated that the position had to be done by a taller. Lapis looked towards one male, who looked tall enough, so he chose him. Keeping him close and have him pay attention to the things around him and to do what is best for their hive. Lapis spends most of his time training him. Before his death, Lapis made it a rule that regardless of rank. There should always be the next tallest. It’s up to the people to decide though.

Genji headcanon number £&#%[
More rambling time!
Considering how all the physical activity Genji does, and how fast he runs, and the fact that every 7 seconds he can travel the same speed as a f1 race car for 2 seconds without any build up (just instantly going that speed, and even crazier can instantly stop himself). This man probably eats so much, like we already know that canonically him and Hanzo growing up would competitively see who can eat the most ramen or whatever and would end up stacking up towers of bowls. So according to my math which is not a good thing to go off of (and additional research) the male athlete requires around 6,000 calories a day, and considering Genji does so much more than physically capable than a human (not including the cybernetic stuff) he would probably eat so much more than that, and what would bring it back down is the fact he is a cyborg so there's less of him that his body needs to fuel with food. But he still probably eats over 10,000 calories a day and is just having to like make the most calorie packed food physically possible or constantly be eating when he's not actively on a mission. He probably even scares Reinhardt with the amount of food he eats, and I can totally imagine those two having eating contests and Genji beating him on more than one occasion to the point it's kind of scary.
And the only reason Genji doesn't seem to put on any weight is because he burns it all so quickly(man has a metabolism of a god). And the speed of which he burns it gets even crazier when you add the fact he gets like a 10% speed increase during his ultimate, which means he's traveling even faster and the fact he can dash during that as well... This is basically just calculating how much food Barry Allen The flash would have to eat but if he ran slower.
hanzo's entirely human and we already know he eats way more than you would expect, because he's also very physically active all the time and he still travels nowhere near as fast as Genji does.
Additionally what are the reasons I think again you can move so much faster than Hanzo does is because the way their dragons are. Hanzo sends out his dragons summons them from his arm and shoots them away from himself, and when Genji summons his dragon as he says "the dragon becomes me" and he physically embodies the ability and extra power the dragon gives him and physically takes that on. Genji is having adrenaline on steroids. I could also be wrong on this cuz I haven't looked in a little bit but I'm pretty sure Hanzo doesn't have a lightning shooting off of him during his ultimate unlike Genji who when you look at him during his animation there is little lightning and electricity coming off of him while green smoky self is pouring from his eyes and mouth. And in comparison hanzo's tattoo glows and dragons starts spiraling out of his arm as his eyes glow, even kirko summons and sends out her spirit unlike Genji who just embodies it.
To Genji probably just by the way he summons his dragon unintentionally turned himself into a superhuman ignoring the fact he already HAS A DRAGON xD
This then ties back into another head cannon, that the clan unintentionally was underfeeding Genji for many years. To the point it's stunted his growth for so long that they thought he was going to be way below the average height. And it wasn't until maybe when Genji was around 16 they get a new doctor for their Clan (because there's no way they're going to a hospital) and they're just like" how much are you feeding him?! Because whatever it is it's nowhere near enough". So then they start feeding Genji a lot more a lot more often and he just shoots up in height and just gets physically bigger, because Genji if you calculate the height of his model is around 5'10-6ft tall when the average height in Japan is 5 ft 7 for a man. Which is really ironic that he is so much taller than he appears to be at first, because Cassidy is 6'1 and when you stand them next to each other at their full heights Genji is fractionally shorter than him and he is so much taller than Angela and Hanzo, and you can even see in all the promotional pictures with Genji and kiriko standing next to each other he is a good chunk taller than her. And it's even more ironic when you remember his dad gave him the nickname sparrow because he was so abnormally small as a child and probably even into early teenhood, all because genji's dragon just got to be built different I guess.

Train every day with zero discipline
I was watching this video (link below) just now about exercise. The guy is like "discipline isn't central to fitness, in fact it isn't even totally necessary. Treat fitness like you're chasing a high, and you'll look forward to it every day."
About two (or is it 3? 4???) months ago I stopped working out to focus on smoking weed. Not the most healthy substitute, but the first joint after months of not smoking was a FAR more enjoyable a high than the biggest pump I ever achieved. I was miserable at the time, and at the height of my fitness.
I guess I stopped because it felt like I was punishing my body harder and harder, for diminishing returns. While you do increase in energy the more you do it, and I was enjoying the rush after a workout, it wasn't enough motivation to keep me going. My initial goals were to look good, and build my fitness to the point I could compete in sports. I achieved both of those goals, but I was never content or proud of them, it wasn't enough, I needed higher PR's, more tone, more definition, etc etc, growing more discontent as I obsessed over results. I worked out most days, eventually doing it daily. Pushing PR's, planning routines for optimal recovery, diet analysis, perfecting and building exercise routines, taking selfies and analysing growth, all of this is extremely consuming. And it can get boring, especially if you're not sure of how to change things up. I'd built a routine that worked for me, got results, made me extremely tired and sore, but it grew stale. I lacked the ingenuity or motivation to change, and after time, I couldn't muster up the drive to go out and exercise anymore, to eat eggs and tuna, to push out that last rep. I was bored.
However something so euphoric in the initial hit, like smoking weed, can become stale too. I've given up weed again for now, lowering my tolerance, and I'm getting the itch to exercise again, the energy is back. The trick I'm aiming for this time is to learn to keep things fresh and interesting. This requires not only a knowledge of what works, but multiple variations of what works, chasing the high by inhibiting my tolerance to particular exercises and foods.
My plan is to attain fitness junky status through experimentation on what I enjoy the most, and focus on those before all else, results being secondary. Like smoking weed, if you play the same games and listen to the same music while high, you're probably gonna learn to hate it. Variety is the spice of life.

I was considering more on Yuki and a possible, interesting direction to take.
So, I already know I want a sort of fun, running joke about how strangers would think she's an adult but spend more than 5 minutes with her in a casual setting and it's really obvious she's not. Like, she can only act professional and aloof for so long.
Originally, I wanted it to be because of her vocal talents. And I still want that!
But I was thinking about a physiology centered around ice and how that would effect her. Like, she probably doesn't usually eat a lot, not does she have a lot of... Waste. She likely doesn't sweat naturally, and getting sick is a lot harder than you'd think cause not a lot of viruses thrive in freezer temps.
She probably also has difficulty crying at colder temps, her normal resting temp being just a tad hard to cry with comfortably. Her body fluid isn't totally frozen after all, her blood and whatnot having... Sort of antifreeze properties?
I already knew that I wanted her to have accelerated healing with access to clean water, as her body can convert that naturally to cells. Her mom is able to reattach limbs with just a splash of water, though sensation and function take a bit to properly come back. Yuki never has a reason to try, but she can also do it.
Anyway, I thought this would also effect growth! Like, she just grows at a very slow rate. Physically at least. Needing to be just... A bit warmer to grow at a steady rate. Luckily she's quite hardy all over, including hair and nails. Bathing in (relative to her) warm water helps her hair and nails grow at a sustainable rate at least.
But, at certain stages her quirk just gets stronger. Usually before growth stages. Like, her quirk gets stronger so now her body has to too.
And the problem is that she hasn't let her body grow appropriately in a few years. Assuming I put her at like, 14, she hasn't grown an inch since she was almost 10. Not a dramatic amount of growth missed (or rather delayed) but enough that's it's noticable on comparison.
To actually, properly do so, she has to literally, slowly, warm her body up to approaching natural internal body temperature. During this time, she basically speed runs a growth spurt. Which is at best uncomfortable but doable with careful oversight, plenty of food (all those vitamins, minerals, and protein to help facilitate growth). Her mom did this a few times by basically shutting herself in her apartment and slowly increasing the temperature of her bath and apartment. The hardest part is not using their quirk to recool themselves, as it defeats the purpose despite providing immediate relief.
Okay, so with all that in mind, during the start of the story she's about 4' 5"~? Which is definitely not adult size. Unless she pretends to be a dwarf, and wears a hood or something to cover her ears, which is what she does. Safer that way during travel too.
She's been nervous about "thawing out" for a long time, putting it off over and over again despite the growing difficulty controlling her quirk.
No idea when she makes the leap, as I havent finished Veilguard yet, but she is very embarrassed to have to bring it up. Finally coming to terms with how dangerous it is to keep putting it off and how hard it is to do all this dangerous stuff with a firmly prepubescent body.
She's got a lot of hang ups, mostly childish concern that if her parents did finally reach her they wouldn't recognize her anymore. Fun stuff like that. But she can't keep endangering her friends just so she can stay small.
Would be very funny if her full height is absolutely from her dad, a full blooded Japanese man, so she's still dainty and tiny with just a bit of that Russian pizzaz thrown in for a full figure or something.
Anyway!
Emmrich is at first super supportive and fascinated by the implications, offering to be by her side if she wants as support during what is bound to be an emotional time. And then he realizes, through her blushing and stuttering, that to her best recollection it requires soaking in the bath. At least, that's part of how her mom did it, and likely the safest considering she'd get jumped by dark spawn if she traipsed into the desert to warm up relentlessly.
He's old and dad coded, but he's not so blind to miss the obvious embarrassment of youth. Politely and sheepishly, he offers to support her in other ways during her "period of extraordinary growth".
Davrin probably clocks the implication quicker and asks if necromancers are really so desensitized to the naked body he doesn't think that's weird to offer a young girl. Almost warningly. Lucanis agreeing softly with a narrowed look. Like, answer carefully, old man.
Harding, Bellara, and Neve offer more involved support if she wants it, with Tash offering to guard the door if it helps her feel better. Davrin suggesting Assan could keep her company if she likes.
Yuki is super touched and appreciative, aware it's a lot to ask considering she has no idea how long it'll take. It's better to go slow, after all, considering her literal bones will be growing and everything else to accommodate it.
In the end it takes a few, tense days. Yuki purposefully overeats for prep and commandeering the bathing room for the time being. Caretaker is helpful in walking through adjusting the water temperatures at a slow pace so she doesn't risk scalding herself. The girls visiting off and on, not wanting to crowd given how... Emotional the whole thing quickly proves to be for Yuki. Normally she's more even keeled, but with her hormones finally running free it's... Interesting.
Taking breaks in and out of the bath, slowly bringing the ambient room temp up to almost 70F~? It's pretty chill for anyone else, but this is basically sauna for her. She eats a lot, talks when she can, and mostly just tries to ride it out until she feels her body settling. Her mom did talk her through the process, after all, so she could make an informed decision when she was ready.
She stumbles out in the same night gown she went in with, this time not quite so oversized. Having grown about half a foot or so over only a few days and somewhat underweight. Her appetite and emotional state somewhat frazzled as she (very. Very. Slowly) brings her core temp back down to normal to prevent any injuries. She's weak and clumsy for a while, but soon enough she's back to (mostly) normal and nearly able to pass for an adult with some work.
Everyone is thrilled to see her doing well, if not a bit distressed at how ravenous she suddenly is, and how quickly she cries for a while. She does not go to Minrathus until she's chilled out properly. She already burst into tears about Lucanis never seeing his grandmother after finally being freed. How badly Spite must want freedom but can't have it out of fear of what he'll do to those around him. And how cute Assan is, how sad it is that he's alone, and how hard Davrin is trying to raise him. The loss of Varric. Harding having to soldier on with her weird magic and how uncertain it must be to be the only one (like Yuki is). Neve and her home. Her now healed injury. Bellara and her brother, how hard she works, and how nice she is all the time. How nice Emmrich is and cool he is. How honest Tash is and her whole thing with her mom.
Basically, Yuki has feelings. And a lot of them.
Even as emotionally stunted as most of them are, they usually give in and give her a hug when she gets overwhelmed. Quite used to how chilly she is, just happy when she finally calms down.
The one time they had to go out and deal with Venatori in Minrathus, Yuki had a meltdown of epic proportions and it did not end well for the cultists. Plus side? They started making themselves sparse for a while after that, much to the Shadow Dragon's relief.
Yuki refuses to talk about the things she did with her ice on that outing.
It becomes clear after that, that her quirk had grown exponentially stronger with her recent growth spurt.
God bless that music room, it was about the only place she consistently chilled out while playing music.
I like to imagine a group sleepover after her meltdown. In the new and improved secret hideout of the Shadow Dragons. Viper is very impressed and sympathetic to the woes of teenage rage. Teia is disappointed she didn't get to witness it, to which Spite helpfully adds.

Lucanis shudders, remembering seeing it first hand. He's a hardened assassin but... It's a bit much to see someone's eyeballs erupt into ice shards in an instant, only to be followed shortly after by dense muscle ripping to shreds on thick slices of ice as they froze from the bone out.
Very body horror of Yuki.
It couldn't even be resisted like ice magic can, cause it takes whole different enchantments to resist natural forces.
Also, not related, but Yuki is asked something.
"So... Rook. You've met a lot of crows by now. Who's your favorite?"
"Is it Teia? I wouldn't blame you--though I am right here--"
"Spite. Spite is my favorite crow."
"Wh-What?!? He's not--Spite is! Not! A crow!"
"Yeah he is. You share a body. You're a crow. So, therefore, so is Spite!"
