I went to the Ethical Consumer conference last week (I know they sound wanky but they're good people, been working with them support farmworkers unions for ages) and they did it on the theme of degrowth. I went to the economics of degrowth session and my god it drove me up the wall, one of the speakers basically saying economics is twaddle, impossible to understand because it is too mathsy (actual quote), it's all pale male and stale, and most the audience came away more confused than when they started. They didn't even define growth! I know a quite hippy magazine is not going to be a hub of political economy but economics understanding is so lowwww at the moment, especially compared to 10 years ago at the height of the anti austerity movement.
I was lucky enough to speak briefly on a panel and I used the 8 mins i had to speak to just set out the basic degrowth premise. Growth is defined as the increase in gross domestic product, the sum of all transactions, wages, investments, purchases in an economy in dollars. It is important because if you are seen as growing, your currency will be more valuable, it will be easier to borrow money on the world market, and attract foreign investment. If you are a poor country, with a weak currency (I.e. not pounds, euros, or dollars), you need to bring in a flow of foreign hard currencies in order to important the things you need (e.g. oil) from abroad.
This has several adverse effects. One is that the sale of goods produced in poor countries on the high streets of rich countries adds more to the rich country's growth than making it does to the poor countries. The selling of a t-shirt made in Bangladesh in an H&M in the UK will add more to the UK's economic growth than Bangladesh's (Sale price of: £4.95; £0.95 paid to the Bangladeshi factory; £3.94 pays for retailer, wholesaler, VAT and 60p profit for H&M; worker gets an 18th of a penny per shirt). The selling of bananas grown in Costa Rica in a UK supermarket will add 20.7p to Costa Rica’s GDP while 74.3p will be added to the UK’s GDP. The UK grows richer at the expense of poorer countries, by consuming the labour and resources of poor countries.
This approach also encourages poor countries to turn over their land from peasants, who produce food for their communities, over to large agroindustrial cash crops like coffee, bananas, and palm oil which bring in dollars at the cost of local people and the environment.
I was quite pleased that people came up to me afterwards telling me that they understood what I was saying and thanked me for explaining it to them. I don't understand why people who are meant to be experts in this are so bad at communicating economic ideas to people, it is not impossible to understand.

I have to go through what I wrote to make sure I don't contradict myself lol, but here we go:
Danny: 24, 5'6. He keeps his hair a little shorter than in the show, close on the sides and longer on top. He filled out a little and is a little broader in the shoulder, but he's still skinny and years of not getting enough food for his increased caloric needs left his growth more stunted than it would have been otherwise. He tends towards looser clothing, a habit from hiding how muscular he was in high school. Plus, he just likes to be comfy. When his death injury is acting up, he wears a wrist compression brace on his left arm. His canines (top and bottom) could properly be called fangs. He gets more sleep than he used to, but has pretty permanent dark circles.
Danny's ghost form is a little more ghostly than it used to be. His teeth are sharper, his ears are longer and pointed, and his skin has a green under tint to it. I am a big fan of the "constellation freckles" fanon, so I'm keeping it.
Sam: 24, 5'3. Sam keeps her hair a little longer than in the show, down past her shoulders, though she still likes the half up, half down style. She dresses punk/goth with a little more street fashion flair than you can get in a kids tv show.
Think this:
She still likes dramatic makeup choices, like black or purple lipstick and heavy eyeliner.
Her canines are a little sharper, but not noticably inhuman. She's taken to wearing brown contacts day to day and only going out with her purple eyes (which I've decided are natural because fight me) as Aconite.
Tucker: 24, 5'10. Tuck's hair is longer and dreaded. Up until this moment, they were relatively short but then I tried to find a reference photo and found this
-and fell in love instantly so he has long dreads that he wears like this. He is the master of comfy cozy. He wears a dress shirt and slacks to work, but as soon as he's home, he is in the biggest, comfiest sweater. This man owns so many cardigans. It's about the soft 🤌. He no longer wears the beret(?) thing from canon, but does love him a good beanie. He is never seen without tech of some kind. He teeth are sharp like Sam's.
I know in canon, Tucker's eyes are blue, but I always imagine them brown anyway. Whichever direction you go, the irises have gold threaded in them now (bleedover from being Pharaoh). I am very bad at picking new glasses for people, but I think he's switched to bigger frames. Maybe something like this:
Jay: 15, 5'4. You've already nailed Jay's look in your art, but his skin is a touch darker than Danny's. They both have freckles and similar hair, though Jay's has a curl. He prefers simple, comfortable outfits: pretty much all of his wardrobe is jeans, tshirts, and sweatshirts. His eyes are teal. He doesn't (yet?) have fangs in human form.
Jazz: 26, 6'3. Jazz keeps her hair long like in canon, down to her waist. She typically dresses in business casual or equally sharp outfits. Even in her personal life, she's very well dressed. I absolutely imagine her as the kind of person who doesn't even dress down for travel, hence her wearing business casual on a plane. She usually keeps the makeup pretty light unless she's looking to be intimidating, in which case she has a special tube of maroon lipstick that Sam gave her. She has small but visible fangs in human form.
Elle: 21, 5'5. Ellie is visibly muscular, lean in the way those Super Outdoors people are. She also dresses in sturdy outdoors clothes and solid hiking boots, good for travelling, though she has some fun outfits that are a mishmash of fashion from all over the world. She has several ear piercings. Preferentially, she has long hair as an undercut, though it sometimes grows out as she travels.
She's rarely without her backpack, in which she keeps all of her essentials. She has tons of interesting scar stories and I imagine more than one spur-of-the-moment tattoo. In fact, I've just decided that she has the silhouette of a bird flying into the sunrise on her right shoulder.
These are just guidelines, so feel free to make some decisions yourself!

So i want to increase my height. I'm 23 years old, female. I listened to many height subliminals. But didn’t increase 1 inch. What can i do???
So u said u didn’t increase, that’s mean that u are checking 3d instead of 4d, cause if you were reaching 4d you would see that you already have your desired height and would relax about it, remember that only your opinion and your vision of yourself matters, not others. If you are sure of this then it has already happened and it will reflect on 3d, as long as u feel it and maintain that state (that DOESNT mean u need to think about it all the time, just know that in your mind and live your life feeling what u would feel if your 3d was already align)
Here are some options that can help you if you are struggling(that’s normal, u got this):
1. Revisit Your Mindset and Belief System
Height subliminals rely heavily on belief and mental alignment. If you’re approaching them with doubt or frustration, it can create resistance. Here’s what you can do:
• Reframe your mindset: Instead of focusing on “I didn’t increase 1inch yet” shift to “My body is capable of amazing transformations.”

3. Nutrition and Supplements (if u want to)

Maybe doing these more "literal" things will help you in the routine of FEELING that you are achieving the height you want, it is not necessary because the power is in your mind, but the more you can make the logical part of your mind collaborate with your subconscious, the better.
4. Persist!!!
Read some success stories, do SATS, don’t think about time, or rush. Do what makes you feel confident and certain that it is possible, that you will achieve it, and when any doubts arise or thoughts like "wtf am I doing", cut them off with the opposite thought: "YES, I can do it, even if no one else has done it, fuck it, I'll be the first, I know my power and my ability, miracles exist, circumstances don't matter and everything is possible AS LONG AS >> I << believe to." What matters is that YOU believe in it, your world revolves around you and your assumptions.

In recent days, "Bugbvie"(?) (I don't know what name to come up with for the city<:'() has experienced hot weather, which has increased the attractiveness of the water bodies many times over. The beaches are overcrowded. However, in the water people encounter an incomprehensible phenomenon - a long and round worm, reaching four meters in height, facing the department. Back then, they were only two meters tall and were already safe for insects, but now they have advanced and are now craving a new "home" in the bodies of insects. The body of a hairworm can reach three to four meters in length, but they are very thin.. It is usually inconspicuous in the water (the color can be either dark or light) and can easily get into the mouth. The female, when laying eggs, may grab you and forcefully push the eggs inside. The hairy one loves fresh water. It lives in streams, small rivers, lakes, ditches. But the most frequent appearance is the river - "Bagena", There are a lot of these worms there, and the mayor of the city said that the path to it should be closed. Hairworms crawl into the mouth through drink or food, and develop inside quite quickly. From egg to larva to full-fledged adult, the worms live inside, gradually turning the insects into "zombies". Worms easily take over the brain and turn it into mush, forcing the insect to go to a pond, where they later crawl out and lay eggs. Is it true that the hairworm — is a parasite? This is not true at all. It is not the worm itself that leads a parasitic lifestyle, but its larvae. Once inside the insect, they begin to absorb nutrients inside the stomach of their "host". At the end of its growth, the individual influences the behavior of its owner, forcing him to strive for water. After which, getting out, eating a hole into it. The insect after this...does not survive. But the praying mantises have adapted, and after such an experience, they can be restored.
One of them is — Tepvo! The hairy worm got out of the body too early and cannot even provide for itself without help. The "master" he was in, the fate is unknown, because I ("grandfather" Tepvo) found him hiding from the rays of the sun under a stone. He brought him home and became his guardian. Tepvo bites. Not literally. He is a very mean person and can hurt you, but he is trying to improve, thanks to.. my help💢. But if you see that he offends you, let me know. Tepvo is a domesticated worm. He will never bother anyone again. The bow on his neck is evidence of this - he is Domesticated

v3 class reunion. miu dresses in her skimpy attire to flaunt her curves per usual, only to discover everyone else has had a growth spurt in the time passed, making her now the flattest. kaede tries to comfort miu that its not a big deal, but her fat milf body says otherwise. makis just annoyed and angie's trying to really rub it in. miu's spirit finally breaks when she sees himiko who now towers her both in height and measurements. "I-I-It's not faiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir!!!" It's not fair!! Not! Fair!! Unfair!! Unfaiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrr!!!" Miu blubbered, stuffing her face with cakes and cheap wine the Academy had stashed. Her plans were entirely ruined! She had waltzed back into the Academy, with the fanciest, skanks, pink dress she could find (that really showed off her assists while legally not being indecent) and expected her 'flatty patty' classmates to be the same...
So why the fuck where they all different?! For Kaede and Maki, who were trying to calm her down, both had become mothers during the 10-year time gap and it showed with both of their bodies being on the chubbier side, but it very much showed on their own 'assets' with Kaede's quadrupling to the point of insanity and making her own plain dress stretch out beyond its limit, while for Maki that difference was her increase in hip and booty size that had her lower cheeks just barely hanging out of her own dress. Both were also a straight 6ft tall.
"C'mon, Miu, its not the end of the world!"
"Seriously, its been a decade, how are you still like this?"
Another voice was next and a comforting hand on Miu's shoulder. She looked and despaired further. It was Angie...and by nature of her not really bothering to put on much clothes (in this case it was just her in a seashell bra and thin gold skirt - leaving her new, blessed, voluptuous body gained from Atua out for anyone to see and lust for~), she stood out greatly. Especially since she was 7ft tall now~
"There, there, it's okay to be the flat one of your friends Miu. Nothing to be ashamed about!!"
"...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" Miu burst out into tears causing both MILFS to the side of her to glare at Angie, who merely shrugged in a 'if its a true, its true' sort of way.
Flashes of the other four played through Miu's mind: Kirumi and how her ass could now carry a platter of food with no issue. Tsumugi and her Lady Dimitrescu cosplay, that really showed her boob gains off with how much they barely seem to cover even half her tits. As for Tenko, her attempts at wearing a blue tuxedo for the occasion had it rip halfway through, showing off just how curvy she's become, alongisde her rather tasteful set of green lingerie. As for Himiko...wait...Himiko!!
She wasn't here, but she was a shoe-in for not even being close to her level! Even if she did increase, chances are she wouldn't be able to beat-
"Nyeh, hey guys..."
"..." Miu turned and saw an 8ft hottie, in a witch's outfit - an outfit that was holding back a ridiculous set of knockers that slightly surpasses her own and a dumptruck exposing out from under the skirt that you could probably rest half of the class's head on.
"What's going on with Miu?" Himiko asked lazily, watching the inventor curl up in the fetal position and sob the hardest she's been in life.
God, Atua, anyone out there - wake her up from this nightmare!!!

Glasses/ Other disability aids: Has a cybernetic eye, which allows them to see temperatures as well as see through materials that are non-cybernetic.
Marks/scars: They have many scars on their body, usually from needles from being an experiment, though they also have a scar on their chest from having to have heart surgery from their body rejecting their transformation, as well as scars on their legs and arms by their joints since they had to be reinforced from sudden growth spurts.
Hair colour and style: Once they were freed from being a scientists main experiment, Cyber wanted to create a new identity for themself. Initially starting with using cables and wrapping their hair around it, Cyber's hair grew out and they braided it, they've kept their hair in braids since, usually keeping it up in one big ponytail.
Eye colour: One eye is a light green (as it's their cybernetic eye), while the other is a dark brown.

Backstory:
Born to an unknown universe, River was a homeless kid in a futuristic dystopian world. This world looked down on those who were homeless and disabled, and treated them as sub-human. River's younger brother, Cyrus was too small, and it was likely he would die if they weren't able to find a home. In order to change their living conditions, River agreed to be taken into a lab, being experimented on by scientists, who had changed their DNA to give them superhuman abilities, which include hyper-intelligence and super strength (heavily due to the machinery that had to be implemented from the heavy damage that their body took from the mixing of DNA and their body's ultimate reaction). These new found powers were not something River was able to control, which led them to be experimented on further to try and balance their new found powers. This did not work- and their powers spiraled more and more out of control, not only harming themselves- the DNA attacking their eye, but also causing such a tremendous strain on their body (specifically their joints), also leading to the death of their little sibling as they lost control of their growing powers and cause their brother to suffocate by their webbings.
The scientists took advantage of their broken mental state and used them as a weapon to keep people who were like them previously from starting a revolution. Once they finally managed to escape, River changed their name, going by Cyber instead to remove themselves from the person they were before their brothers death and from the experiment they were known as. Now, they travel from universe to universe to protect and save those who were as unlucky as they were, often times finding universe where their little brother is still alive and checking on him when they have the time.

Favorite color: Hot pink.

Cause of Death: Sickness.
Back when everything used to be more primitive and simple. Lapis was born with very few siblings. He had mostly sisters and two brothers. Lapis didn’t hit his growth spurt until the start of his military training. He wasn’t all excited about going into battle or trying to climb ranks over the other irkens. He just wanted the military training and to grasp the skills given to him. The field he’s going for is more on the scout patrol. Seeking out new territories for his hive, but ran into trouble from a rival one, who used him to send a message to his citizens. If they wish to bot have their home become another gravesite, they’ll hand over all valuable belongings over to them.
Lapis refused this and said he will report them to the grand elders for such a threat. The elders are of one group of council members. They are the overseers of all of irk. All concerns go back to them and are settled accordingly to their laws. Lapis have only just finished his basic training and took notice that his height has increased again. At first it worried him. He’s only ever seen tallers of great importance. A commoner like him would just be seen as deformity in some way.
Lapis’s other siblings are off on their own after their training. Picking up jobs to serve their society. Lapis continued to be a scout patroller. His team of shorter irkens, accompanied him. Lapis made a mistake after he crossed enemy line and alarmed them. He and his core got out of there in one piece but after word got out what happened. There came a border skirmish between his hive and their neighbors. It lead to many deaths and injuries. Two of Lapis’s brothers are one of the fallen and he took this loss deeply.
The battle only ended after the enemy hive got what they wanted. Food,equipment supplies, weaponry, and most of their women. Lapis reported this to the elders in the capital of irk, but even after explaining everything. Those old geezers refused to retaliate. Lapis could not stand to leave the future of irk up to these guys, so he took it upon himself to help his people survive. Remembering how his parents did it, Lapis made his own wardrobe from scratch. His father being a blacksmith and his mother a silk threader. He took these skills he learned from them to boost the defenses and safety of his hive. He went out to scout again but for more resources that they’ve lost.
Lapis made it a point to not let his people go through that attack again. For someone who did not like to be the center of attention, is not taking charge as a leader. He became the first tallest in irk’s history. The members of his hive are mostly shorter drones. Only a handful are taller drones. Lapis command them and they followed him through the next battle. He made sure they were ready this time and prepared an ambush on the other hive. Sworming them but never attacking in the same spot. So many died that day but Lapis didn’t just win the battle. He won the respect and loyalty of both his hive and the other hive’s citizens.
“As a show of this new strength, Lapis and his soldiers, marched into the elder council’s office and force them to step down as the overseers. Which they did AFTER Lapis made an example out of one of the members by having him thrown out the office window. Once they’ve all agreed and decided to just retire into the city, Lapis took over. People stared addressing him as “My tallest.” He approves of this and has carried on his leadership for a few centuries. The only concern he has is what will happen once he’s gone? Who will lead his hive? Lapis decided to find his successor.
Many irkens raised their hands in hope they will be chosen but he turned them down and stated that the position had to be done by a taller. Lapis looked towards one male, who looked tall enough, so he chose him. Keeping him close and have him pay attention to the things around him and to do what is best for their hive. Lapis spends most of his time training him. Before his death, Lapis made it a rule that regardless of rank. There should always be the next tallest. It’s up to the people to decide though.

Genji headcanon number £&#%[
More rambling time!
Considering how all the physical activity Genji does, and how fast he runs, and the fact that every 7 seconds he can travel the same speed as a f1 race car for 2 seconds without any build up (just instantly going that speed, and even crazier can instantly stop himself). This man probably eats so much, like we already know that canonically him and Hanzo growing up would competitively see who can eat the most ramen or whatever and would end up stacking up towers of bowls. So according to my math which is not a good thing to go off of (and additional research) the male athlete requires around 6,000 calories a day, and considering Genji does so much more than physically capable than a human (not including the cybernetic stuff) he would probably eat so much more than that, and what would bring it back down is the fact he is a cyborg so there's less of him that his body needs to fuel with food. But he still probably eats over 10,000 calories a day and is just having to like make the most calorie packed food physically possible or constantly be eating when he's not actively on a mission. He probably even scares Reinhardt with the amount of food he eats, and I can totally imagine those two having eating contests and Genji beating him on more than one occasion to the point it's kind of scary.
And the only reason Genji doesn't seem to put on any weight is because he burns it all so quickly(man has a metabolism of a god). And the speed of which he burns it gets even crazier when you add the fact he gets like a 10% speed increase during his ultimate, which means he's traveling even faster and the fact he can dash during that as well... This is basically just calculating how much food Barry Allen The flash would have to eat but if he ran slower.
hanzo's entirely human and we already know he eats way more than you would expect, because he's also very physically active all the time and he still travels nowhere near as fast as Genji does.
Additionally what are the reasons I think again you can move so much faster than Hanzo does is because the way their dragons are. Hanzo sends out his dragons summons them from his arm and shoots them away from himself, and when Genji summons his dragon as he says "the dragon becomes me" and he physically embodies the ability and extra power the dragon gives him and physically takes that on. Genji is having adrenaline on steroids. I could also be wrong on this cuz I haven't looked in a little bit but I'm pretty sure Hanzo doesn't have a lightning shooting off of him during his ultimate unlike Genji who when you look at him during his animation there is little lightning and electricity coming off of him while green smoky self is pouring from his eyes and mouth. And in comparison hanzo's tattoo glows and dragons starts spiraling out of his arm as his eyes glow, even kirko summons and sends out her spirit unlike Genji who just embodies it.
To Genji probably just by the way he summons his dragon unintentionally turned himself into a superhuman ignoring the fact he already HAS A DRAGON xD
This then ties back into another head cannon, that the clan unintentionally was underfeeding Genji for many years. To the point it's stunted his growth for so long that they thought he was going to be way below the average height. And it wasn't until maybe when Genji was around 16 they get a new doctor for their Clan (because there's no way they're going to a hospital) and they're just like" how much are you feeding him?! Because whatever it is it's nowhere near enough". So then they start feeding Genji a lot more a lot more often and he just shoots up in height and just gets physically bigger, because Genji if you calculate the height of his model is around 5'10-6ft tall when the average height in Japan is 5 ft 7 for a man. Which is really ironic that he is so much taller than he appears to be at first, because Cassidy is 6'1 and when you stand them next to each other at their full heights Genji is fractionally shorter than him and he is so much taller than Angela and Hanzo, and you can even see in all the promotional pictures with Genji and kiriko standing next to each other he is a good chunk taller than her. And it's even more ironic when you remember his dad gave him the nickname sparrow because he was so abnormally small as a child and probably even into early teenhood, all because genji's dragon just got to be built different I guess.

Train every day with zero discipline
I was watching this video (link below) just now about exercise. The guy is like "discipline isn't central to fitness, in fact it isn't even totally necessary. Treat fitness like you're chasing a high, and you'll look forward to it every day."
About two (or is it 3? 4???) months ago I stopped working out to focus on smoking weed. Not the most healthy substitute, but the first joint after months of not smoking was a FAR more enjoyable a high than the biggest pump I ever achieved. I was miserable at the time, and at the height of my fitness.
I guess I stopped because it felt like I was punishing my body harder and harder, for diminishing returns. While you do increase in energy the more you do it, and I was enjoying the rush after a workout, it wasn't enough motivation to keep me going. My initial goals were to look good, and build my fitness to the point I could compete in sports. I achieved both of those goals, but I was never content or proud of them, it wasn't enough, I needed higher PR's, more tone, more definition, etc etc, growing more discontent as I obsessed over results. I worked out most days, eventually doing it daily. Pushing PR's, planning routines for optimal recovery, diet analysis, perfecting and building exercise routines, taking selfies and analysing growth, all of this is extremely consuming. And it can get boring, especially if you're not sure of how to change things up. I'd built a routine that worked for me, got results, made me extremely tired and sore, but it grew stale. I lacked the ingenuity or motivation to change, and after time, I couldn't muster up the drive to go out and exercise anymore, to eat eggs and tuna, to push out that last rep. I was bored.
However something so euphoric in the initial hit, like smoking weed, can become stale too. I've given up weed again for now, lowering my tolerance, and I'm getting the itch to exercise again, the energy is back. The trick I'm aiming for this time is to learn to keep things fresh and interesting. This requires not only a knowledge of what works, but multiple variations of what works, chasing the high by inhibiting my tolerance to particular exercises and foods.
My plan is to attain fitness junky status through experimentation on what I enjoy the most, and focus on those before all else, results being secondary. Like smoking weed, if you play the same games and listen to the same music while high, you're probably gonna learn to hate it. Variety is the spice of life.
