WWE Planning A Third Mae Young Classic Tournament
WWE is planning a third Mae Young Classic tournament. While a date has yet to be announced a german documentary documenting the latest WWE tryout in Germany revealed that one will be happening rather soon.
In the documentary Sarah Stock and head of talent relations Canyon Ceman announce that the tournament will be returning soon and they invite Wesna Busic to participate in the tournament. Busic, 35, from Croatia, wrestles primarily in Germany, but also over all of Europe as well as in Japan and America where she is most known for competing in SHIMMER. In 2010, Busic announced her retirement from professional wrestling due to an injury but later returned in 2016. In May 2018 Wesna challenged Toni Storm for the PROGRESS Women’s Title at “Revolution 8”, Germany’s first-ever all female wrestling evening event. This also marked the first time that the PROGRESS Women’s Title was defended in Germany.
At the end of the documentary eight participants were chosen at the tryout and Amale Winchester was the only female, earning herself an invitation to the upcoming women’s tournament as well. Winchster is from France and recently has been working regularly for WXW Germany. She made her debut back in 2012.
