I can’t find many fics with this…but would you maybe be willing to right poly marauders x werewolf reader?
Not in like a super angsty way. Maybe just like the morning after the full moon and Sirius and James are teasing reader and Remus because “you guys are like puppies chasing after bunnies.” Or maybe like prep for the moon and wow all the chocolate is gone it’s barely been a day.
I love this! thanks for the request, I hope I did it justice <3
poly!marauders x werewolf!reader post full-moon [836 words]
CW: fem!reader, post-moon care, werewolves being giant goofy baby dogs, James being doting, sirius being soft af [my kryptonite], Remus being stupid in love
His eyes - though obviously clear and clean of any blood, sweat, or debris - feel like they are crusted over. His chest feels like it’s being weighed down by a herd of erumpants. And his mouth tastes like acid and iron.
But the first thing from his mouth is the sound of your name as it rips through the sandpaper that's coating his throat, blindly feeling around on the bed whilst refusing to open his eyes.
“Easy, Rem.” James whispers, and Remus can feel gentle fingers card through his hair. “She’s okay.”
“Where is she?” Remus croaks, still blindly searching for you even though it has become clear Remus won’t find you there.
“She’s right here, Moons.” He hears Sirius murmur, further from him than James is, which makes him too far away.
Remus finally wrenches his eyes open and turns his head on his pillow, his neck cracking audibly as he finally spots the bed you’re situated in.
If Remus didn’t know better, he’d think it rather looked like Sirius was the one in the hospital wing; laying back on the bed, his head propped up comfortably on the stack of pillows meant for you whilst you were situated between his legs, your cheek smooshed up against his chest that rose and fell in time with his breathing.
But Remus does know better.
“What’re you doing in her bed?” Remus grumbles, but the inflection is more a result of his current state and less to do with any real ire. He’d be lying if he didn’t admit how sweet a picture it painted; Sirius’ onyx hair fanned out against the white of the pillow cases, the sun warming a few strands ever so slightly causing them to appear a chocolatey brown as your breathing continued in perfect rhythm. You seem so content, so secure, so loved that even whilst unconscious, you lean into them with your full trust.
“Same thing Jamie’s doing in yours.” Sirius responds breezily around a yawn, and Remus looks up to notice that James is actually perched on the head of his bed looking down at him - like he hung, well, the moon - massaging at his scalp that Remus swore saw any residual tension seeping from his body with every stroke of James’ careful fingers.
“She okay?” Remus asks then, letting his eyes fall closed as Sirius lets out a indignant scoff.
“‘Course she is, we’re not new here.” He sneers playfully at Remus, pulling you closer to him by the shoulders when you shift in your sleep and brushes his hand up and down your back in broad strokes; Remus is sure it feels heavenly.
“We’re fine too, by the way.” James teases as he leans down to press a kiss to Remus’ forehead. “Not like we were the ones doing all the hard work last night or anything.”
“Hard work.” Remus snorts. “I’m sorry; did your bones bend and break, and did your skin stretch and snap twice?”
“No…” James admits, though it’s Sirius who continues the banter.
“We were just in charge of chasing two giant, hyperactive puppies through the forest all night.”
“We’re not puppies.”
“Yes you are.” Sirius laughs, though Remus can tell - for Sirius’ part - he’s working very hard to dim his brightness in an attempt to keep you sound and not wake you. It makes Remus’ heart swell. “Dolly’s afraid of her own sodding shadow and yelped at every snapping twig, requiring plenty of reassurance, and Moony spent about twenty minutes chasing his own tail before he fell head first into a tree when he got dizzy.”
“That’s not true, is it?” Remus whispers to James who quickly offers him an apologetic smile.
“‘Fraid so, Moons. The two of you also had what I swore was a howling contest last night, too.”
“Oh my gods.” Sirius laughs as he recalls the memory. “Moony’s voice actually cracked like a teenage boy going through puberty, and Dolly’s voice was completely hoarse by the time we convinced the two of you to knock it off.”
“She’s not going to be able to speak more than a whisper for the next foreseeable future.” James adds, looking equal parts fond, exasperated, and sympathetic for you as they watch you push your face into Sirius’ chest.
“We’ll make her tea.” Sirius declares, his own voice but a whisper as he holds you close, eyes far away as if he’s focusing especially hard on keeping you comfortable and sleeping soundly.
“With lots of honey.” Remus agrees quietly, smile growing when Sirius’ eyes meet his and crinkle in the corners.
“Pandora told me she has a recipe for lavender tea; could be nice to try after a moon, hm?” James offers.
“You’d probably like that too, hey Moons? Lavender tea.” Sirius asks.
And Remus couldn’t deny that he would probably like just about anything so long as he was able to enjoy it with the three of you; pre- and post-moons, recovering in the hospital wing, watching paint dry, steeping tea…whatever.
“Yeah, Pads.” He admits. “I think I would.”

Cw; Use of Y/N Sexual themes and actions, Cussing, themes of ptsd aligning with assault, arranged marriages, abusers doing abusing, continuity issues (mostly wolfbane during Remus's school years)
You always used to enjoy your walks. The one time you were allowed peace, away from your rancid family and their overbearing presence.
They were always simple, slow, and just a lap around your parents' garden. The {L/N} manor was huge, and the property was far bigger. The trail, however, was just around the fountained hedges and back. It was the only path you were allowed to walk without a chaperone, so you relished in it.
It was just around the garden.
It was safe.
It should have been safe.
It was foggy, cold, your limbs buzzing numb and your lips chapped. Your father had just came back from his week-long ministry endeavor, working to ban those infected with Lycanthropy from the more popularized highlands. He had no shame in his views on them, and for the longest time, you believed them too..
You had a lot of regrets like that.
Your father was furious, his bill wasn't passed and he, as usual, had taken it out on your mother the second he entered the threshold of the place you called home. The verbal attack that started was horrendous and you wanted no part in it. So here you were, as far away from home as you could get.
You wanted to walk for hours, but the trail was only about long enough to allow you to avoid your fathers fury, that was pushing it.
Once you were behind the hedges, and you knew no one was watching, you sat down. Looking up at the full moon you lifted your hand as if you could catch it.
You didn't feel the eyes on you.
You don't hear the rustling on the outer line of the property.
Maybe if you did, it would have been different. Maybe if you didn't go out alone, it would have been different.
Maybe if you didn't go out alone, the imprint of Greyback’s jaws wouldn't be permanently etched into your skin.
~~~
Being a pureblood had never been necessarily difficult when you were younger. Occasionally you weren't allowed to play certain games or be around certain people, but it remained plausible. As you got older, specifically when you got to Hogwarts, you suddenly had weekly letters informing you of their expectations. It was crushing, from your parents expecting updates from the professors, to them giving you a letter with a list of all of the approved students your parents allowed you to associate with. Merlin forbid you make friends with muggleborns and halfbloods. Living with that for six full years was destroying you.
You preferred that, however, when you heard news that after your seventh year you were to be married off. Your parents didn't even permit you to know who it was.
Being left with your thoughts was favorable, knowing once the year was over, you were to be married off and a child wasn't an option, more of an obligation. The idea of bringing a child into a world so cruel, to face the same fates, with the possibility of your inflection? It was keeping you up, despite how you tried to keep the thoughts away.
You were laying in the cott, as Madam Pomfrey tried to quiz you on how all of this happened. She didn't say it, but she had this horrible feeling that it was a certain boy she knew, and the guilt he would feel if he heard of it would destroy him.
You didn't answer, just kept denying it. The scars along your face and chest throbbed, your very skull ached from your first ever transformation. Your parents had made you promise to keep it quiet, not wanting to disgrace their name and ruin your betrothal. No one was to know, especially staff, so you kept your mouth shut. Pomfrey tutted and shook her head before she stood. Giving a startled breath when the doors crashed open.
Your eyes tightened in pain and you lifted your good hand over your eyes to try and drown out the raising sunlight.
You groaned and looked up at the doorway. You saw four boys, boys you unfortunately knew very well. The Marauders. If it was to be anyone coming into the hospital wing with no explanation, at this ungodly time of the morning, it would be them. You didn't notice Madam Pomfrey’s familiar and routine movements as she left your side and hurried the boys into the cott next to yours.
You closed your eyes and let out a low sigh as you tried to ignore them. Luckily, the tallest one, Remus, seemed just as over it as you by the way his friends hushed around him.
“I'm fine, guys, you can head off, it will be breakfast soon.”
Remus’s voice sounded strained. Not that you paid particular attention to it before now, you could even hear a bit of crackle in the base of it, clearly over used. You slowly peaked one of your eyes open and spotted Remus’s form sprawled out on the bed just a yard or two away from you. You wondered if she did it on purpose.
Now, your ideals didn't align with your parents, you had long since grown out of that phase. But that didn't mean you still didn't put up a front to anyone you weren't close to. The Marauders and you didn't really care to involve yourself with each other, the only one you knew vaguely was Sirius, but that was due to your relationship with Regulus. Both of them were dramatic shouts, but Regulus was at least charming about it. You couldn't say you knew Sirius well enough to know it.
Not that it mattered.
His name was nowhere on your parents list.
“Are you sure, moony? We can get you anything you need.” James fretted like the mother hen he was. You rolled your eyes and began to roll over, giving a low hiss of pain as the bandage that littered your skin rubbed against your raw flesh.
It was then that the boys noticed you. Your back was now to them, and it seemed they took that as a sign to go. You heard the three shuffling away with low whispers of something you couldn't quite catch.
You tried to steady your breathing, as your ears narrowed in on Remus’s breath. Ever since that night, while you were still in denial, you noticed how your eyesight increased tenfold, your hearing was beyond sensitive, and Merlin your nose seemed to find new and powerful scents everywhere. Taking long deep breaths through your nose wasn't helping.
That was, until you smelt something strong. It wasn't a smell you were able to place, but it was amazing. Calming and numbing, like you could fully unwind and let yourself take the backseat because something was here to protect you. Something was there to stand guard, you didn't have to anymore. You tried to hush this utterly annoying whining in your ears, telling you to go closer to the source, like there were claws wracking against your temple.
You curled up within yourself, holding your head, trying to block out every sound and smell, it was overwhelming. Your body ached, your head throbbed, your nose felt cold and raw with every breath. You wanted to forget tonight, figure out a glamour to cover up your damned scars, and go back to class. But that could all be done tomorrow. Now, you just wanted to sleep.
“Is it loud?” Remus called over to you in a low tone. Still, you flinched at the unwelcome and piercing intrusion it caused. Remus’s voice traveled down your spine and warmed your stomach. Whatever this was, you needed it to stop. You don't even notice the hesitance and slight pain in his voice.
“What?” You whispered back with narrowed eyes.
“The voice.” He challenged. Remus Lupin was smarter than most, not that it took too much thought to figure out what was happening. You looked a lot like him, when he was first nursed back to health by Pomfrey.
“I don't have a clue what you mean.” You snapped back before you carefully rolled over to look at him. You hid your wince and grimace perfectly, but you couldn't hold an angry expression with Remus. Especially when his eyes locked with yours. The voice got so much louder, demanding and begging she go to the boy infront of her. You did your best to ignore it, flinching hard, and covering your temple with a huff.
You don't get a chance to notice how Remus seemed to be going through the same. The second he walked through the door, your scent hit his nose and he knew. He knew what you were before he realized who you were. {Y/N} {L/N}. To him, the only thing notable about you outside of your pureblood bordering on royal status was the company you kept.
You were one of the many who couldn't stand Severus, but you hung around Regulus Black, Evan Rosier, and even Barty Crouch Jr. you seemed to only be friendly with purebloods, but you never went out of your way to pick on anyone else. It was like you lived in your own little world, as far away from ‘tainted blood’ as possible. He only remembered you as the girl who hexed Avery for calling Lily a Mudblood, then receiving a howler from your parents about it the very next day. You avoided anyone who wasn't a pureblood since.
The only exchange he had ever had with you was when Barty had cornered a few first years in the hall, Gryffindors with a loud mouth, having called out Regulus for Slytherin cheating during the game.
The marauders just so happened to be walking down the hall at the time, and before they could do anything about it, you walked in from the courtyard to the scene. It was almost scary, how you simply calling the boys names retracted them from whatever they planned to do. Well, Barty planned to do, Regulus held his usual look of indifference and likely didn't seem too interested in any outcome.
“Then, what are you in for?” Remus prodded with an amused look. You huffed as his voice became more soothing the more he spoke. You wanted to ignore him, you knew you should. That voice in your head did not like that idea, it seemed. Desperate for any bit of attention Remus would give you, and he seemed willing to hold a conversation. It latched onto that.
“I'm.. sick.” Okay, maybe you weren't a genius, but you certainly weren't that dumb. That damned voice speaking louder then any thought in your head.
“You're .. sick?” He prodded with a smirk and you bit your cheek.
“Uh huh.” Might as well stick to it.
There was a long pause between you two, you eventually gave a low groan and he smiled. “Well, I usually wouldn't suggest this for just sick girls.” He started and you peaked one of your eyes to glance at him. He was sitting up, back propped up by pillows. The second your eyes met your lungs suddenly refused to work properly, and he seemed to stutter for a moment.
“What?” You whispered.
“Calming drought. And a few drops of deflating drought. I take it before I get,” He gestured to his bandages, much less then yours. “Sick too.”
Your eyes widened at his remark. Eyes trailing down his form a bit, not noticing how it made him squirm. Your jaw went slack for a moment before you corrected yourself. He was a werewolf too? Who else knew? They allowed him at school? Regretting your own stupid excuse now. But you listened to his every word intently. You bit your bottom lip and slowly sighed. “Ah. Well, a little over kill isn't it?”
“Is it?” He chuckled and gestured to your current state. “I also do something to relieve stress, you know, before I get sick.”
You quirked your eyebrow at him and hummed. “Relieve stress?”
“Mhm.. I can give some suggestions, I can help you too, if you need.”
“You forget yourself, Lupin.”
Remus seemed baffled by your response before his jaw went slack. “W-woah, not like that.” He laughed and you couldn't help but smile at it. The crinkle of his tanned skin in the corner of his eyes made your heart throb helplessly against your ribcage. What had gotten into you?
“That's a real shame.” You continued to tease and Remus seemed thrown for a loop, before he quickly caught himself.
“Sorry, princess, I usually like at least one date before I go to such extremes.”
“How very proper of you, I wouldn't of expected it, considering the company you keep.” You smirked and he rolled his eyes playfully.
“I could say the same to you.” He tried to joke, but that remark made you pucker your lips a bit.
“Not exactly my choice.” You mumbled and he slowly frowned. The wolf in him whining helplessly as he seemed to upset you. He used to have it under control, but it seemed the company of other werewolves was weakening his resolve and strengthening Moony’s.
A silence followed, but it wasn't uncomfortable. He actually hadn't felt more at peace in months. You either.
“Wolfsbane.” He remarked and you looked up at him.
“What?” You whispered and he smiled at you.
“Wolfsbane. It's a potion to help with our sickness.” He muttered and you clicked your tongue.
“Have you ever used it?”
“Can't afford it.” He remarked quickly and you took a breath in, sharp. Forgetting to be conscious of your privilege.
“Ah… what does it do?” You asked carefully, and the conversation continued like that.
Your conversation faded into nothing but familiarities after a while, from your shared sickness to random facts. Almost like you were old friends catching up with each other, you learned of his parents, his friends, his childhood. It was simple and you were practically strangers, but by the time you had dozed off it felt like you understood a bit more about who Remus Lupin was.
You didn't share much about yourself, you hoped it didn't show just how desperate you were for his voice. You didn't even have time to think of blood status, how your parents would react to you making a friend of a halfblood.
It felt like you had an ally, someone you could lean on. It helped that his presence alone seemed to sooth the manic thoughts in your head.
~~~
It had been days since your encounter with him. You couldn't seem to get that stupid boy out of your head. So what was a good distraction when you couldn't get your thoughts straight? Studying, of course. The only reason you found yourself ducking into the library was Barty wouldn't be caught dead studying, less people think his brains were more than just a Merlin given gift. You found yourself smiling slightly at his utter ridiculous reasonings. Regulus could keep him entertained while you were away, you were sure of it.
You had to be careful with the two, Evan was easy to fool, too focused on trying to be on par with Barty, or too focused on making a name for himself, but the others? You didn't want them to narrow down what was happening to you. You didn't exactly know how they would handle it. Regulus was still young enough his mothers words meant the world to him, and Barty and Evan had expressed interest in more extremes then just arrogance. You chose to ignore those thoughts, because you loved the boys, no matter how foolish they were. You didn't claim to be the bastion of temperance. You didn't have all the answers for them, you certainly didn't have enough experience or evidence to the contrary, you just knew you cared deeply for them, and abandoning them for ideals imposed upon them was never an option in your book.
Walking into the library, the scent hit your nose like a ton of bricks. That familiar and soothing smell. It was intoxicating, having to catch yourself as your body moved closer without your consent. Your eyes locked with his almost instantly, as if he was looking for you too.
Remus Lupin was with his usual friends, though you noted Lily and Mary were with them as well. It wasn't anything big, as you knew Lily had started dating James Potter after years of embarrassing pining. Though, Mary was sitting awfully close to Remus. The voice in the back of your head did not like that. All of them took a full table for themselves, and as your body had started walking towards them, you suddenly realized you had stopped in the middle of the aisle staring at Remus. And he you.
It took an awkward cough from someone at the table and that seemed to break you and Remus’s staring contest. You looked over at where the noise came from and you saw Sirius Black, giving you the dirtiest look you had ever seen. You give a ‘hmph’ and look away from them, walking right past their table to one of the smaller ones near the window.
You didn't notice how Remus’s eyes trailed after you, nor did you notice when Sirius gave him a look of confusion, looking for an explanation. Remus, however, simply looked down at his parchment and waved him off.
“What was that about?” Sirius hissed at Remus, that was hard to ignore.
“Nothing.” Remus muttered. Even though his voice was lower than Sirius’s, you heard it more clearly than anyone else’s in the room.
They continued to talk among themselves, and being just a few tables down it was hard to ignore. It was mostly about whatever they were reviewing, it seemed Sirius gave up on trying to pry out Remus’s explanation. Eventually, it went quiet. You gave a sigh of relief, body unwinding. The voice in your head seemed to quiet down a bit, being in close proximity of Remus calmed it down.
This was a bad idea.
You tried to focus on your work, you truly did, but writing a 12 inch on the migrating patterns of horned slugs was as boring as it sounded. Could you even call moving from one side of a city to another migration? Sounded like a bit too much credit. Not that you could think of that for too long, soon enough, Remus was invading your mind again. The voice was becoming less and less content with the distance between you two. You rubbed your face and sighed. You have been at this for twenty minutes and you already wanted to go back to your dorm and forget this ever happened.
There was shuffling behind you, and you prayed Remus and his friends were leaving. When you heard books hit the desk next to you, you knew Merlin had a sick sense of humor.
You turned to look at whoever had the audacity to sit next to you, and your eyes locked with Remus’s.
“Hey.” He whispered to you and that voice shot down your spine like a bolt of lightning. You turned to look at his friends and saw that all of them seemed to be staring at you two, baffled. You quickly looked away, body stiff as you looked right back down at your parchment. You ignored him for a few moments, before you finally spoke up.
“Why are you here, Lupin?” You muttered, glancing over at him and noticing with a start that he had been staring at you already.
“To calm the voice.” He whispered, maintaining a stern and serious eye contact that almost strangled you. When did Remus Lupin get so confident?
You hadn't even noticed how the voice in the back of your head stopped, until it began to send pleasant rumbles threw your entire chest, like a purring cat. Oh, you were done for.
“Y-you forget yourself.” You whispered out in a stammer and he smiled bright at you, denting his cheek with his tongue. “You have that effect on me.”
You scoffed and looked away, covering your cheeks with your wrist and tried to pretend his words didn't rattle you. Cocky little-
“You can call me Remus.” He whispered to you and you closed your eyes and began to steady your breath.
“I will do no such thing.”
“Why not?”
“Have you forgotten who you're speaking to, halfblood?” You snapped back at him, turning to face him once more and you flinched at the surprised look on his face. The voice gave you a sharp bout of pain down your neck as if to punish you for hurting him.
There was a moment of quiet, before he turned to face you fully, both of you having forgotten your audience. He hung his arm around the back of your chair and that did nothing to calm your battering ram heart, as if it was trying to tear away from your chest to Remus. “You know.” He whispered, leaning closer as if he was telling you a secret.
You could have fainted right then and there.
“I don't think you really believe that, do you?” He whispered and you snapped you out of your thoughts. His smell. Please please please, whatever cruel gods were watching stop this torture already. “If you did, you wouldn't have hexed Avery. You wouldn't have talked to me in the hospital wing. And you would have long since hexed me for coming to you.”
“I'm still debating that, Lupin.”
“Remus.”
“Lupin.”
“Moony?” He offered and you looked over at him in utter stupefaction. You narrowed your eyes before one eyebrow arched in questioning.
“Moony?” You muttered, not noticing the shiver that went down his spine at that. “Moony.” He confirmed.
“Sounds ridiculous.” You huffed and he gave a brighter smile this time.
“Sounds amazing when you say it.” He whispered and before you could shoot something back, a voice called out behind you.
“Yo, {Y/N}! The bloody hell have you been!?”
You didn't know if that voice was a gift or an additional plague from the gods above. You pressed your thumb to your cheek and sighed. Preparing yourself for another shiver of discontent from your wolf, you leaned your head back to glance at Barty, and he was smiling, not for long, when he noticed Lupin with his arm practically around you, leaning into your space. His expression hardened.
“You! Get your damn hands off her!” He shouted to the entire library. You groaned and quickly stood up, Remus’s eyes still on you, as if he could care less about the scene to come. Barty was quick to make his way across the room and began to, and rather forcibly might you add, pack up your things for you.
“Is he bothering you?” He pried and inserted himself between you two, the growl from Remus was almost missed. You quickly shook your head as he put your book bag over your shoulder.
Barty huffed at your answer and put his hand around your lower back. “Bold halfblood.” He spat at him and began to escort you out of the library. You quickly paused, looking back at Remus as a realization hit you.
“Lupin.” You called over to him, and your breath got caught up for a moment, noticing he was watching you without ever moving from his seat.
“Remus.” He whispered back to you and it felt like he whispered that right against your earlobe. You took a sharp breath.
“Remus.” You whispered back and he sat up straighter. “I-I took your advice.” You whispered out, your hands gripping your book bag harder. You didn't think about why you said that. Maybe you were looking for praise? Merlin, what was wrong with you?
He just smiled at you and toyed with his lip, wetting them. “Good.” He nodded and you took a deep breath, about to say something further before Barty quickly hooked his arm more forcibly around your waist and pulled you away from the library. This would be a long year.
~~~
Weeks later, you were laying down on your bed and rubbing your temple. The green sheets that enveloped you were hardly soothing to your throbbing head. The voice, who you learned from Remus was indeed as you suspected, the wolf, had been furious with you. Between tests and studying, and not to mention Barty’s new found protectiveness over you, you weren't able to see Remus, outside of the stolen glances in the halls.
Barty refused to let you anywhere near the Gryffindor quartet, having told Regulus and Evan's that very night when he walked you all the way back to the Slytherin common rooms. Evan's was appalled, but Regulus seemed more disgusted then anything else.
It was like they formed a schedule to keep you away from any undesirables, every day, from potions to history of magic, they escorted you from class to class, and the voice was growing very impatient with their insistence. Even Regulus involved himself with the two’s foolish plans.
You loved the boys, but you didn't know how to explain that it physically pained you to be away from him. It was bizarre, you hardly even spared him a glance through the entire school year, he was just James Potter’s friend, someone to avoid. Just another person who didn't match your parents standards and thus, you needed nothing from. Now, it was like the very idea of going back to that was blasphemous. The wolf in the back of your mind howled out in displeasure at your own thoughts. What you would give for everything to be quiet.
As if to mock you, there was a firm knock on your door. You huffed and sat up, only for the door to be thrown open and Barty to let himself in. “Got something for ya! Looks like it's from your parents.” He announced as he plopped the package down, your bed dipped under its weight, and the sound of glass clinking filling the room. You huffed and stood up, arms crossing as you glared at him.
“Has waiting for me to open the door ever once crossed your mind?”
“It did, once, it scared me.”
You scoffed and tried to hide your smile. “I could of been changing!”
“Nothing I wouldn't like to see, dear.” He purred with a wink. You reached back and grabbed a pillow, pelting it at his face and he laughed, throwing his head back.
“Out! Out of my room!” You shouted, unable to help the giggles that left your lips. Despite the joy, you felt this familiar dread fill your chest. Your voice agreed with it, you didn't want to be alone with anyone. Not right now.
“And if I don't?” He smirked and held the pillow still. You bit your cheek, another horrible attempt to hide your laughter. Trying your best to ignore how a toad made its home in the back of your throat. You felt like you could cry, you didn't know why, Barty had never once made you feel unsafe, and despite his jokes, he respected you more then you figured to be normal considering how purebloods usually were. He was definitely your favorite RavenClaw.
“I'm calling your boyfriend.” You teased and he gave a dramatic gasp, his smile twitching a bit as he noticed your eyes growing glossy.
“Oh no, whatever will I do? It's not like he agrees with me or anything.” He attempted to continue the joke, but when tears actually began to shed, he stopped fighting, letting you shove him to the door. That comment alone seemed to effect you more then you let on. He paused, about to ask you something, before you groaned, managing to get him out the door.
“Begone!” You shouted and slammed the door in front of his face.
“Hey- Wait-” He called from the other side of the closed door, you could just barely make out Regulus call for Barty to leave you be from the common room.
You pressed your back to the door and tried to calm your breathing. Closing your eyes tight to dispel your tears and gather yourself. Breathing becoming heavier, and slowly sinking against the floor. What was happening? Why were you so panicked? Your wolf paced in the back of your mind, making your breathing harder to steady. You gave a gasp and curled up tighter. Your hands were shaking, your throat was scratchy, and you were sure you would pass out if your hiccups paired with the heavy gasps had anything to say about it.
You wanted to sleep, you wanted it to stop, but you had a feeling you knew exactly how to calm yourself.
~~~ Remus’s POV ~~~
It was like they were brandishing you like a trophy of some kind. He didn't want to think about it like that, like you were just some prize to be won, but it was getting harder. The looks Barty and Evan would shoot him in the halls while keeping you as far away from him as possible.
He was dying here, Moony wouldn't just shut up about you, and the boys kept harassing him about you too. Still not over the interaction he had in the library. It got worse when he admitted you were the one who laid next to him in the hospital wing.
“I mean, she's a pureblood, she acts like everyone else doesn't exist, you think she'd give Remus the time of day?” Sirius spoke up, ever the skeptic. He was laying on his back on the floor of the common room, tossing a pair of folded socks above his head. “{L/N}s would eat our poor moony alive.” Sirius smirked and tossed the sock pair at Remus who lifted his hand sharply and caught it without looking.
The taller boy was laying on the couch, sprawled out to try and ease the tension in every limb of his.
Sirius let out a low, impressed whistle. They had also found his new wound up Moony’s reflexes fascinating. Sirius especially.
“Have you seen the way they look at eachother? Like star crossed lovers.” James sighed fondly from where he sat in front of the loveseat, head resting in Lilys lap as she braided bits of his hair. Lily gave a fond eye roll, looking over to Remus.
“Starcross what now? Honestly, Remus, if you're shagging her you can just say that.” Sirius snickered but quickly his chuckle was caught in his throat when Remus sent him a deadly glare.
Sirius bit his cheek and slowly smirked. Interesting.
“He really does seem fond of her. Infatuation, maybe?” She teased and Remus groaned. “I am right here.” He grumbled and glared over, Lily giggled.
She was the only one he told about what had been happening, so she was surely just taunting him. He rolled his jaw and opened his mouth to speak before there was a soft knock on the portrait. The fat lady’s voice soon came, gasping and scolding whoever was trying to get in.
“Woah, after curfew?” James muttered, looking to Lily. “As heads, we should probably do some scolding, hm?” He prodded and Lily gave a dramatic hum of thought, pressing her finger to her cheek. “Hmmm…”
She glanced up at Remus and saw how his body stiffened and he sat up a bit. He was staring at the door like a patient and loyal dog. Her eyebrows raised in amusement before she shook her head.
“Nope.” She popped the ‘p.’ “We're off.” She cheeked and James gave a chuckle and leaned his head back against her plush thighs with a content hum.
“Sounds good.”
There was another, much less confident knock.
No one moved, Peter looked around the group from his homework before he groaned as all the eyes landed on him, safe for Remus. He stood up and walked over to it. He was gone for a few moments, before he walked back with an amused look, Remus was already getting up.
“Remus your…” Peter trailed off as he watched the taller boy quickly walk past him and out of view of his friends. Lily smirked and James tilted his head curiously at her.
“Remus is getting callers, soon enough, we'll have to set up a dowry.” She hummed in a serious tone, Sirius throwing his hands up.
“What? I always have callers! What's my dowry?”
“We have three chocolate frogs for whoever will settle down with you.” James remarked and Lily gave a startled laugh, covering her smile as James looked up at her like she was the one to gift him sight.
Sirius pouted.
~~~
You knocked, just once more. You didn't know why you expected them to be up, but the wolf in the back of your head was calming slowly, you had a feeling you knew why. When the door opened, the warm air seemed to pour from the common room, the very air wrapped around you in so much comfort. The smell came with it, and you could have fainted with how loud the voice became. Your hands found purchase on your skirt when you made eye contact with Peter Pettigrew. You both stared at each other bewildered. Right. It wasn't just Remus here.
Awkwardly, you cleared your throat and lifted the small paper bag in your hand, “I uhm,” You cleared your throat again. “Remus. Something for Remus.”
Peter slowly smirked before he nodded and hurried back into the room. You looked away and began debating with yourself. If you ran back to the dungeons, would he catch you before you got there? Your hands were still unsteady but your breath was finally growing even. What were you even planning? Give him the Wolfsbane and beg him to stay with you a little longer? Because him standing near you was calming? Merlin you should've thought this through. You sounded insane.
Your head snapped up when you heard the portrait open again. You locked eyes with Remus, both a bit too stunned to know what to say. You opened your mouth a few times and began to grow frustrated with yourself as you continued to try, and no sound left. You took an even breath and Remus gave you a small breathtaking smile. This bastard.
“A-actually, this was a mistake, I'll-” Your words were cut short when Remus reached out and grabbed your arm to keep you in place. His hand was much larger than you expected. You turned back to look at him and when your eyes met, your breath was once again snatched from your chest. You let out a whine that was so audible it was humiliating. “R-Remus…” You whispered out his name and that seemed to really ignite something in him.
He tugged softly at your arm to gesture you in. You toyed with your bottom lip before you obeyed him and followed. He lead you into the common room, and you met his friends look of utter bewilderment, and they matched your expression.
Remus ignored them, leading you right up the stairs to his dorm. You heard a wolf whistle from Sirius before the door closed behind you.
Everything else happened so quickly, but so carefully. He backed you into the door and you stammered out his name. You couldn't think clearly, with how intense your wolf was becoming. Like it was whimpering in excitement. You huffed as Remus gave you a look that sent danger signed flaring in every part of your body but your mind.
Your left brain was utterly useless around him, you decided.
He caged you in, and leaned his nose against your neck and took in a deep breath, savoring the smell of your shampoo and body wash. He seemed just as dazed as you did. You pressed your legs together, hard, and you squinted at the light above you, allowing him to take you in.
After what felt like hours, he pulled away. You felt so cold, you resisted the urge to pull him back. He leaned down over you, face just a few inches from yours.
His eyes glanced down at the paper bag in your hand and your mouth dried. “Got something, Princess?”
You closed your eyes tight and lifted the bag. He looked between you and it, not that you noticed. “For you.”
“For me?” He asked in a soft teasing voice. Taking it from your palm and opening the bag. His breath caught in his throat and he snatched it out, holding the blue grey sludge like potion in his hand. “Is.. is this?”
“I-I listened. Like I said, and my parents sent me far more then I would ever use in a school year so.. so I figured it would be a waste.” Your voice grew lower as he gave you a look you couldn't describe. Would you be honest? That you lied to your parents to request double knowing they wouldn't question it? To offer Remus just a bit of relief? Even if it wasn't much? You doubted it. But the way he was looking at you now, it felt like he knew. He set the bag down and stepped closer to you.
You reached for the door knob but he beat you to it. Leaning down as his lips hovered over yours, you held your breath, your fingers trembling. Slowly, moving to rest on his chest. He smiled, it was so small, so soft. You took a shaky breath and slid your hands from his chest to his shoulders. “Can I?” He whispered and you let out another ungodly sound.
“Yes.”
When his lips landed on yours, everything else went blank. You reached around him and gripped at the back of his uniform with desperate clawing motions. It was flashes filling your head. Flashes of Remus against your neck, then you on his bed.
You had no clue what was happening you just knew you'd didn't want it to stop. Ever. When he shifted on top of you, however, you noticed his hesitance.
You were both red, deep with rushing blood. His hands that were once around your waist were now to your wrists. He straddled your hips, but he didn't move beyond that. When did he take his shirt off? When did yours go?
It seemed to hit Remus, how foggy you truly were. He slowed down and let go of you. Carefully,he crawled off and sat down in front of you with a low groan. You slowly and carefully sat up. It was hard, with how little your core seemed to obey you. “R-Remus?” You muttered and he covered his face with his hands.
“This is a bad idea.” He mumbled and you pouted a bit.
“What?”
“You can't think straight. Neither can I.” He whispered. “I won't regret this. But I know you will.”
You paused for a moment and considered what he said. He was right. If he had continued, you surely would have gone far further then you were willing. You didn't know how many people would of been able to make that call.
You fall on your side on his bed and groaned. It smelt so much like him. Your eyes closed and you buried your face in the pillow. He slowly smirked.
Climbing up onto the bed and wrapping his arm around your middle. You leaned your body fully against his and he sighed. “Is this okay?” He whispered, nose to your neck and voice desperate. You nodded, rolling over to hide your face in his chest. Everything was calm again, for both of you. No voices. No howling or clawing, no thoughts of anyone but who was in front of you. He waved his wand and closed the canopy drapes for privacy.
You knew you'd feel safe with him.
~~~
You woke up feeling amazing. Too bad the other three were there to greet you two with teasing and vile innuendos you had never heard before. And you were friends with Barty Crouch. You couldn't deny how funny it was, so when Remus apologized you could only laugh.
You and Remus made a habit of it, meeting up together and finding comfort in the calm you brought each other. Only on weekends, as you weren't allowed to go to Hogsmeade on most occasions, so the boys didn't question you when you said you would be keeping yourself busy.
Busy you definitely kept, when they left in the mornings, you made your way to the empty Gryffindor common room, straight to Remus’s room. Thats were you were now. Laying in his bed and fiddling with his hair. He was laying between your bent knees and nuzzling his head into your stomach. You flinched a bit as he rubbed against the mostly healed bite mark. He lifted his head and gave you a concerned look. You bit your cheek and slowly lifted your shirt, showing off the large bit of mangled skin to him again. He had seen it before, several times by now. Usually due to him throwing a shirt of his at you the second you walked threw the door. It was kind of adorable.
His eyes fully took it in, running his thumb against your jagged and twisted skin, clearly confused. His wound healed when he was young, yours seemed to be getting worse. “My mother healed it the best she could.” You whispered and his face twisted in confusion, eyes meeting yours. You bit your cheek.
“My parents didn't want anyone to know so.. that meant no St Mongos.” You whispered and he seemed surprised, like a deer in headlights. You gave a reassuring smile.
“It's alright, pretty boy.” You cooed and ran your fingers threw his hair and tugged softly at the roots. He gave a low sigh and closed his eyes.
“There are rules for that, to keep the doctors quiet, you know.” He whispered and you slowly nodded, biting your bottom lip. He peaked one of his eyes open and tugged your lip from between your teeth. “I know.. my parents are pretty paranoid.” You mumbled.
He nodded and slowly got up to his knees, running his free hand along the scar, rolling you over onto your stomach, you obeyed easily. He leaned down and kissed the bottom half of the scar, making you smile into the pillow you were hugging. “Do you…” His voice trailed off and you hid a bit into your pillow. He frowned and crawled up further to kiss the back of your neck. As if to tell you he was there. You were safe. No one would hurt you while he was here.
“... My father was at the ministry. He uhm..” You felt pathetic, like what happened was something you deserved. You one agreed with your father, so what did that make you? You were just as bad as his mindless arrogance.
“He was voting on the bill, and donated a hefty share to get.. people like us banned from the highlands.” You whispered and you felt as his lips stilled against your lower neck. Before the kiss slowly deepened, almost bruising. “I-I guess there were people there that didn't like that. Fenrir Greyback followed my dad back home and- I guess it just so happened to be a full moon-”
Your words were getting caught in your throat. Suddenly it felt like you were being strangled. You quickly sat up and he moved off of you quickly. You turned to face him and gave him a sigh of relief. “S-sorry I- I couldn't see you, I just-”
“Shhh..” Remus tried to calm you. Leaning forward and rubbing your back carefully as he offers you his hand. You grabbed it and used it to yank him against you. You missed the security of being under him. He pressed his nose to your shoulder and you sniffled slightly.
That night was the closest you felt to Remus. It was a shock to learn his father also earned Greyback’s wrath, in much the same way.
You didn't want to leave the dorms that night, so, for the second time, you found yourself tangled up with Remus in a much more affectionate way, less intimate and more careful. That's not to say that his lazy open mouthed kisses against your skin were anything but love. And his deep thumb prints against your abdomen where he focused the frustration from your slow and careful kisses were anything but lust.
You both agreed not to label what you had. It was clear that most of what it was came from the shared experiences, the shared inflection, and of course, the terribly desperate wolves that would rather kill you both then be without the other.
It was getting harder, however. As the months went on, how you both would focus on each other after every full moon, how being tangled with each other was more gratifying than any prank Remus could ever pull, leaving his boys behind most nights, how you both couldn't seem to get enough of each other.
When Remus became a prefect, your meetings went from every weekend to every other night. You were falling for eachother, hard. You were sure you wouldn't recover from this, but instead of breaking your heart early, you simply caved to his every desire. Every question, every look, every touch was reciprocated. In turn, he caved to his obsession. Letting you consume what little sanity he had left.
Your friends noticed the change, the marks on your nape and throat, the bruised lips, the skipping breakfast and even dinner at times.
His friends noticed it too, Sirius seemed all for the idea of 'tainting a pureblood’ and James seemed happy Remus seemed to be love struck. He had spent all of his years at Hogwarts refusing love, but it seemed he fell into this one so fully and so helplessly, he had forgotten who you were.
You did too.
When summer finally came. It was like they were strangers again. You didn't even spare him a glance. Remus was desperate, it was like he was going mad without you. He knew you had called it off. He knew why you did too. He felt cheated, the one time he lets himself fall so fully and she belongs to someone else. You two had talked, you told him the last thing you needed was your parents finding out about you two. That after the last night, there was no ‘us,’ that you two never happened.
Remus was devastated, but kept it to himself. He knew by the look in your eyes that this wasn't the outcome you had hoped for. You both got too distracted with each other, with the fantasy of it all. You two never labeled what you had, so there was nothing to fight for. He wondered if you did that on purpose.
The next day after your conversation was the last night you snuck off to his dorm. It was mostly you watching him pack, the way his mother had taught him. He was telling you stories of his mother, how strong and resilient she was. How she taught him even the most mundane tasks were best done slowly. He said it in a tone that made you wonder, what exactly he could mean.
When he was finally done he crawled into bed with you. Once again, you fell asleep in eachothers arms. It was peaceful and content. It brought a smile to your face, trying to ignore the biting pain of knowing this was the last you'd have of Remus Lupin. A strange lecture and a night together.
He had changed so much of who you were, he had taught you so much more than you would've ever known alone. You were grateful life gave you him, even if it was just for a moment.
The morning would come too soon.
~~~
You loaded your things on the train, with no true attachments to anyone you were allowed to see, it was easy to just leave.
That's what you told yourself, anyway. When you sat down, next to Barty and across from Regulus, you fiddled with your book instead of reading it. Tears gathered in your eyes as Evan and Barty continued to debate who you had been seeing the past few months.
Regulus seemed not to be entertaining the conversation, focusing more on you as you sniffled. Quickly, you dismissed yourself to the bathroom. Leaving the compartment and ignoring their calls to you. Hurrying past students you didn't know with their varying looks of confusion and concern. You didn't even have time to think before your arm was grabbed.
Looking back and up you saw Remus. He was guiding you to a storage closet, you both said nothing.
He pulled you in and closed the door, and you came undone in his arms. You had kept strong about the separation, but it was tearing you apart inside. Remus had taught you to tame the voice in your head, so you knew now your reckless emotions were your own. You clung to him and sobbed, he held you close and you heard his own sniffles into your shoulder.
You were there for a while, eventually, he used his thumbs to dry your eyes, you looked at him and saw such terrifying love in his eyes. You bit your cheek and shook your head. It wasn't just love. It was desperation. Like he was begging you for an answer you surely couldn't give. You pulled away and his head hung down in defeat. You stared at him. Say it. You thought. Say it and I'm yours, Remus.
You both sat in silence for another minute or two before you sighed. Turning to open the door, still no words passed between you both.
As you walked out, your head down, you were greeted with a pair of polished black shoes. Your eyes slowly trailed up to meet the eyes of a shocked Regulus Black. His jaw tensed when he saw who was behind you. You hadn't known he followed you. Fuck.
“Regulus, it's-”
“Blood traitor.” He spat the vile insult and you felt like he slapped you. Your breath hitched and you reached forward towards him. He was young, he didn't understand. You knew the only experience he had with this was his cousin and brother both of whom, he confided in you, he felt abandoned him. You didn't know how to explain what had happened. You didn't know what to tell him. You don't know what to say. Your entire body was lit up like a live wire, and Remus spoke in a low tone.
“What was that?” He prickled and you quickly shushed him. Remus seemed startled but didn't say anything. Scoffing as Regulus marched off with another much lower repetition of the insult. You sighed and covered your eyes, feeling even more miserable now.
Remus reached out to you, wanting to comfort you again. Anything to keep you close to him. “I knew this was a bad idea.” You gave a heart broken whisper and Remus froze up, staring at you with wide eyes.
He didn't say a word as he walked to your side, moving some of your hair to behind your ear. Muttering a soft goodbye, one he figured would be his last, before he turned and walked away. Back to his compartment. He didn't want to cause any more damage.
You made it back to your compartment, Barty and Evan greeted you with concern and you waved it off. Your eyes on Regulus who was glaring at you. Luckily, the boys were distracted with their hundredth conversation of the night.
You turned to look down at your book once more. It was one Remus had given you, just to borrow, you wondered if he thought it would be an excuse. To see eachother again.
~~~
A week of being home, you were finally slipping back into routine. The first thing you knew you wanted to do was return Remus’s book. Once you did, he had lettered you back almost immediately. You knew you shouldn't, but it was hard when every part of your heart ached just to read his words. You exchanged letters with him several times over the week. With nothing else to do but write and wait for your betrothal announcement, there were days when three letters between you two simply wasn't enough.
Eventually, over the weekend, you convinced your mother to allow you to go to Hogsmeade. One hour of freedom to finally explore before your marriage, to your surprise, she agreed. You had finally gained ownership over your own vault so she allowed you to roam as long as you returned within the hour.
You did not go to Hogsmeade. You met with Remus, outside the Potters. You knew it was risky, there was a war brooding and you shouldn't be caught dead entertaining him, but you were weak. You would always be weak to him. It was just an hour, the worst mistake you had ever made. It just reinforced what you already knew. You and Remus were dangerous together. You found yourself not caring about who may have been watching. It was just a conversation and a few stray touches, but it ruined you.
Once you made it home, you watched the house elves scatter around, avoiding you. Your parents had sent you up to your room the moment you walked through the doors. They were in the living room with the Blacks, specifically Walburga and Orion.
You hadn't seen your father so furious before. Once you heard the door open, you watched through your window as the two devilish figures apparated away. You turned to your door as it slammed open. You straightened your back and avoided his eyes. “Father-”
“ ‘In the safety of our nights, I reveled in your presence. Knowing another werewolf was near brought a comforting embrace. And in your exquisite beauty, I found my heart forever captivated. You are captivating.’ “ He announced to the room and your blood ran cold. Your eyes snapped over to the drawer of your desk and realized it was open. Remus’s letters.
You looked to him and saw your mother avoiding your gaze, holding the small stack of parchment and your heart sunk to the floor.
“Father-”
“Where were you?” He demanded and you took a sharp startled breath.
“Hogsmeade, I asked mother-”
Before you could finish, he snapped his fingers and the parchment in his hand was lit ablaze. Ashes gathered at his feet and you couldn't help but let out a yelp. Covering your mouth and clenching your chest, watching as the last of Remus was burned in front of you.
“ ‘Each moment apart feels more arduous than I ever imagined. Could there be a chance, however slight, for our paths to intertwine once more?’ “ Your father spat Remus’s words back to your face and you flinched. “Where were you?” He demanded again.
“I-I went to the Potters. I went to the Potters to meet with Remus Lupin.” You sobbed out and your father gave a condescending laugh.
“You've involved yourself in filth. Do you understand that?!” He snapped at you, snatching the letters from your mother with so much force some of them flew around the room. “You have been a plight on this family since you were born! I should have sooner raised a son! I was this close to being rid of you, now the Blacks won't even take you for their disgrace of a fallen heir!”
You closed your eyes tight, bowing your head as your mother spoke up. “Where did we go wrong? You were such an obedient girl when you were younger! You used to be such a good girl, {Y/N}.”
“Don't lie to her! I will fix this. I will fix this problem. You want to entangle yourself with filth? I'll show you filth!” Your father boomed. With a wave of his hands every letter ignited. Shriveling them up to nothing but black spots on the carpet. You slowly fell to the floor and hugged yourself. Sobbing out in desperation, you wanted to go back. You wanted everything to stop throbbing and the pain to go away.
You wanted Remus.
~~~ Remus POV ~~~
Two months. Two months and none of his desperate letters got any reply. He wasn't ready for that hour to be his last goodbye. He wasn't ready to be without you yet. He wasn't ready to lose you.
He thought if he kept pushing it, kept going past the boundaries you set for yourself, you would eventually say you wanted him too. You wanted to be his and he wanted to be yours. Why was that so hard?
He spent those months moping around in his room. Bless Sirius’s soul for all he put up with. Remus would only get up to write, Sirius had to force the rest out of him. The black haired boy finally managed to drag Remus into the shower, then into the living room. Forcing him to spend time with them.
“There is a war waging! Stop worrying about that girl and drink for tonight at least.” Sirius shoved a wine glass in his hand and laughed as Remus curled up his nose in disgust. Lily walked over and pulled Remus over to the table, ready to play one of the many random muggle games she brought. Remus felt like he was going through the motions for the most part. Just doing as he was told.
There was a tap on the window, Remus ignored it. Long since learning his lesson about getting his hopes up. He focused on the cards in front of them as Lily dealt them. She had a sneaky hand, notorious for slipping them in her sleeve. His thoughts were only interrupted as Sirius muttered his name. Low and cautious.
He looked behind him and stared at Sirius who was holding up a parchment of paper, he recognized it instantly. {L/N}’s. It wasn't any normal letter. It was more of a card. “What is it?” Remus whispered, dread filling him. He knew what it was. He already knew what it was, but there was this small bit of hope that he was wrong.
Sirius looked to James who was reading it over his shoulder with a grimace. “Uh… are you sure you wanna know?” James asked cautiously, and Sirius winced.
Eventually Remus stood up and snatched the paper from them. His eyes widened and his heart stopped, slowly muttering the words to himself before Lily cautiously stood up. “What is it?”
“I don't think-” James began, and Sirius watched as Remus read it out, interrupting James.
“We, the noble and long standing house of {L/N} cordially invite you to the engagement party of..” Remus felt his words stop in his throat and Lily looked to James for an answer, he began to stutter out and over himself, before Sirius spoke up this time.
“{Y/N} {L/N} and Fenrir Greyback.” Sirius whispered and Remus crumbled the letter in his hand. No. This wasn't happening. Remus threw the invitation away and began to pace the living room, hands tangling in his hair as he clung to what little sanity he had left.
“Okay, well, let's figure this out.” James declared and Remus stopped his pacing and looked over at James with bewildered eyes.
“What?”
“Let's go crash a wedding. Well, a wedding party.” James mused and gestured to the four of them. “When is it?”
“It's tonight. Must of sent the invitation to me as a fuck you.” Remus muttered before he looked across his friends faces, slowly smiling. “You'll do this for me?” He asked softly and Sirius walked up to him, patting his shoulder. “Remus, I'll do anything to stop doing the dishes again.”
Remus gave him a glare as Sirius smiled cheekily up at him, before he turned to James who shrugged. “She makes you happy, man.” He offered before Lily leaned forward with a chime. “And no one deserves to marry Greyback.”
Remus slowly nodded and felt a rush of adrenaline. “Yeah. Yeah, let's do it.” He turned to the three, “What's the plan?”
~~~
“So let me get this straight.” Lily mused as she looked into the passenger hanging mirror, as they drove down the street like muggles. “Greyback turned this girl into a werewolf? And her parents are just going to.. marry her to him?” She scoffed and Remus nodded, clenching his jaw as he slipped his wand in his waistband.
“That's foul.” Sirius hissed with his head half out the window, smoking a cigarette. Remus once again muttered something in the affirmative.
James glanced back at Remus from where he was driving. “Okay Moony, you sure this will work? Just going to walk out with her?”
“If she'll have me.” Remus muttered and leaned back fully with a sigh. “Thanks for coming.” He mumbled.
Sirius nudged him and Remus looked at him from the corner of his eye. “Anything to ruin another pureblood legacy.”
“I'm starting to think this is more about that than helping me, Sirius.”
“Can't it be both?”
“Certainly not.”
“I'm sure it can.” Lily mused from the front seat.
“Certainly can.” James remarked and Remus groaned, followed by a fit of giggles.
“I can't believe she likes you guys.” Remus mumbled and Lily gave a startled gasp. “What? Awe, she likes us!?”
“Oh look, we’re here.” Remus interrupted her and she gasped. “Remus Lupin!”
“See ya.” He chuckled and climbed out.
The celebration was at the {L/N} manor. As Remus walked up, he was ushered in past the people getting their names checked. Not at all jarring, might you add.
His coat was taken by a house elf and another handed him a drink. He gave a small thank you and then winced when one looked at him with surprise and the other like he was dirt. His eyes scanned the full room, and they landed on the man of the hour.
He looked as slimy as he remembered. Like a sore thumb in a place like this, it just seemed to push how much of a punishment this must of been. He looked around the manor and noticed you were nowhere to be found. He remembered from your letters, your room was on the first floor. Well, time to go hunting.
~~~
You were in your room, sitting by your vanity and trying to push back the time as much as you could. Your debut was happening in thirty minutes. It was like the clock was taunting you. You sat in silence, with your mother putting the final touches on your makeup.
“You should have listened to me. You shouldn't have lied.” Your mother spoke in a cruel tone. Tutting out about your features as she did. “This wouldn't be happening. You could of been happy with that Black boy, he is friends with that Lupin kid too, you could of-”
“Could of lied to myself? Become an obedient housewife? Or sneak off with my husband's best friend behind his back?” You snarked in a calm tone and she scoffed. “If that's what you wanted, you could have had it. You are a {L/N}, yes, but you are my daughter. You should have known how to make this work for you. Without making us bring his kind into our family.”
“Ha! His kind? Mother, I think you've forgotten! I am his kind! And you're about to marry me off to the man who made me one!” You shouted, met with a firm slap across your cheek. You lifted your hand to touch the tender skin as your mother stood up and stomped to the door. “Finish up and be out here in 20 minutes, I will not wait longer than that.”
You were left in your room. It was quiet again. Your head leaned back to stop the tears that threatened to pour. You resisted the urge to cry, straightening up when you heard your door open. Taking a deep breath, figuring it to be your father. “I am still not ready.” You whispered.
“You look bloody magnificent, what else is there to do?”
That voice. Oh Merlin please.
You shot to your feet and turned to face him, startled. “R-Remus! What are you doing here?” You asked quickly, walking over to him to yank him fully into the room and close the door.
He instinctively wrapped his arms around your waist and smiled bright at you. “I've come to get you.” He whispered and you took a deep breath. “Remus, what are you talking about?” You whispered and he gave you a determined look.
“Do you trust me?”
“... yes?” You whispered and he lit up.
“Good enough, do you love me?”
“Remus-”
“Do you?” He pried and leaned closer. You took a deep breath and slowly nodded. “Yes.”
He gave a large and exaggerated sigh of relief, pulling a giggle from you. “Thank Merlin, I thought this was for nothing.” He whispered and pulled out a box from his coat pocket. Your jaw dropped and you looked around quickly before you rapidly shook your head. “Remus, don't be foolish.”
“The only thing foolish about me is not asking you to stay with me. I know this is fast, but I think I've known for a while.” He declared and opened the box. It was a modest ring, very unlike the large stone on your hand now.
“Remus-”
“Princess, I know. For once, stop thinking as a {L/N}. Think like a {Y/N}. Better, if I beg enough, would you think like a Lupin?” He begged and you gave a watery laugh. Covering your mouth with your gloved hand and shook your head, this time in amusement as he got down on one knee. He seemed to light up at your delight.
“You look like a fool.” You giggled out and he shook his head.
“Only thing that could possibly make me look like a fool now is if I brought back my mothers ring with no one attached to it, princess.” He implored and you gave another laugh. It sounded like heaven to him.
“Unless you want me on both knees? I can do that, darling, I can.” He declared and you shook your head. “Remus, get up and put the ring on my damn finger.”
He gave you the most dazzling smile as he stood. Taking your hand and throwing Greyback’s ring across the room. Giving you a goofy look as he slipped his mother’s ring on your finger. You gave him a bright smile and bit your lip. Before grabbing him by his lapels and yanking him down into a kiss. It lasted no longer than a moment before you both pulled away in a fit of giggles. “So, what's your plan to get us out of here?”
“Simple, really.” He mused and scooped up your hand and walked backwards to the door. “We run.”
Your jaw went slack and your eyes widened. “You're mad!”
“Think like a Lupin, darling.” He teased and yanked you out of the room. You have a startled yelp when you came face to face with your mother. Surely there to bring you to your debut. You looked at Remus who bit the corner of his lip and yanked you along.
In another fit of giggled and young foggy foolishness. You both ran. Ran past your mother, who made no move to stop you, past the ballroom, past several guests, when you were finally noticed you ran right past your shouting father and a rather angry looking Greyback.
You ran after Remus, eventually he stopped by a car, and you laughed. “You came in a muggle car!?” You exclaimed in delight and he smiled. “Get in, will ya!?”
You hurried in and bumped into Sirius, looking up at him with wide eyes as Remus closed the door behind them, “Drive!”
“Congratulations, pretty girl.” Sirius spoke up. “Lovely dress.”
“Thank you.”
You gave him a bright smile and looked to the front seat, James focusing on the road and Lily looking behind her seat and waving. “Hey! We met once before, nice to meet you officially!” She introduced herself with a calm that was certainly not matching the manic sounds outside the car. “My name is Lily! Lily Evans. Looks like we match.” She mused and flashed her ring. You couldn't stop smiling like an utter fool. “Nice to meet you!”
“This is Sirius Black.” She introduced, and Sirius leaned forward with a nod, you have a brief greeting, before she turned back to the front and put her hand on James’s arm. “This is James Potter, my lovely fiancé.” She chimed as your eyes locked with a stupid love sick looking Remus.
“Have I mentioned how I love your friends?” You whispered and he leaned forward and took your lips for his own.
Lily was curious when you didn't respond and glanced back, just in time for Sirius to complain. “Merlin, why am I stuck back here with the horny teens!?"
warning: reader is a lil mean but not really, teasing, edging, soft dom reader, I’m not very proud of this
Dom!werewolf reader putting sub!vampire bf on a leash.
He’d been so bratty lately, not listening and getting on your nerves… so you decided to show him what being a little brat gets him.
You collared him, attaching a leash. His cheeks were flushed with embarrassment as you cooed over him, your tail wagging.
“Oh, you have nothing to say now, hmm? All that big talk earlier and now you’re quiet?”
He hissed as you tugged on his leash, his bulge rubbing against your fat, wet cunt. “Aww… you wanna fuck me so bad, don’t you? But brats don’t get what they want.”
You grabbed his collar, forcing him to look up at you as he helpless rutted whining.
“Please… I’m sorry for acting out… wanna cum inside so bad…”
Usually you’d give in, let him breed you to his hearts content… but you had been spoiling him rotten, allowing him to drink from you as he came.
“Mmm… I don’t think you’ve learned your lesson yet.”
You continued to tug on his leash, causing him to tear up from the overstimulation while a wet spot formed on his boxers.
“Aww, did my baby just cum without permission?”
He whimpered, nearly crying out as your fingertip grazed his crotch. “Y-yes… I’m sorry, it was just too good…”
“Too good? Just some friction can have you cumming in your boxers? Such a sensitive, dumb little thing… and you think you get to be a brat to me?”
You straddled him, your bare pussy hovering over his fully erect cock. The vampire whined, cock bobbing with need as he tried to control himself.
“Please… I’m sorry, I’m sorry for being a brat… I wnat it… I want you…”
You cooed over him, letting his tip kiss your wet cunt. “Aww… you’re sorry? My sweet baby, tell me what you want, okay?”
Soft pants echoed through the room as he looked up at you with hazy eyes, his hands trembling as they reached for your hips.
“Please… please lemme inside you… wanna cum inside, wanna feel your warmth…”
He nearly yelped at the sudden feeling of your walls surrounding him as you sat on his cock.
“That’s all you had to say…”
Nobody Knows My Girlfriend is a Werewolf
Joel Miller x Werewolf F!Reader
Here's my late halloween contribution!
Warnings: monster sex, werewolf!reader, brief rimming, ball nipping, oral m!receiving, breeding kink, battle of dominance
18+ ONLY
- - - -
‘HeY! Tommy—shh!—no sorry not you I’m just—fuck, stop that!”
Burying the receiving end of the phone into his shirt, Joel puts his finger to his lips to shush you before shoving your clawed hand away. He puts the speaker back on his ear. “Sorry we—“
A strong growl rumbles below Joel.
“You got a dog or something?” Tommy chuckles on the other end.
“Uhhh--“ Joel looks down at you, now on all fours and nudging his clothed sack with your pointed snout. “StoP! Shit--“ he tries to push your nose away but you keep coming back, inhaling deeply through your blackened sniffer with heightened senses. You let out a low howl from your throat of approval, pawing at his jeans now to get them off. “Y-yeah— I mean no! We’re watching a friend’s dog—“
“You gonna keep it?”
“Wh-no. She’s being a —very-bad-dog!” He enunciates at you. “I’m gonna tell them she can’t play here anymore when she’s like this.”
You scoff, knowing deep inside your wolf brain he’s full of empty threats.
If you really wanted to annoy him, you’d crush his phone under your foot, pin him down, and force you needs onto him. you'd actaully done that before, only to wake up with little memory next to a Joel who looked like he got hit by truck.
You were actually being a VERY good girl tonight given the circumstances.
He pushes you away with finality, walking away towards the bedroom.
You should try to behave, but its so difficult once this shape takes form. It's like asking a kid on halloween to wait to open candy until he's out of his costume and washed up for bed. you couldn't communicate with him, your wolf-like vocal cards unable to form words. But your gestures lead to pretty obvious intentions, and Joel was not getting it one bit.
Luckily, he isn’t prepared when you pounce on his back, making him grunt an “oof!” And falling flat on the bed.
“Joel?” Tommy asks, concern laced in his voice from the other end of the call.
“Shit—Yeah I’m—alright…stubbed my toe.”
You flip him around like he’s nothing. In your current state, he actually does weigh nothing to you. He tries not to yell as you start literally tearing his jeans off, the shredded denim falling by your side.
He coughs, trying to play it cool as if some monster didn't just rip all his clothes off with a single swipe. “I’m gonna have to—“ your sharp teeth pull down his boxers, revealing his rapidly hardening cock. A devilish grin spreads across your elongated mouth, salvia pooling in drops and falling to his stomach.
“Don't!—F-FUck!” He yelps as you wrap your sticky, long tongue around his member, a full 360 covering from base back up to the tip. Your warm breath is fanning his mushroom tip as your tongue jerks him off, granting you a hum of approval. Joel’s eyes go a little crossed, leaning back into the pillow and feeling himself float. “Tommy—No I’m not getting off right now—“ he furls his brows, unable to put his eyes on you and instead, pushes his palm along your furry forehead, knees digging into the matress trying to get away from your grip.
You growl again at his profuse denial of you.
Shredding his shirt off as well, your leathered paws glide roughly over his chest and soft stomach. You lick over his nipples, down to his naval and soaking his happy trail with slobbery kisses before returning to suckle his cock easily in your mouth.
In human form, Joel’s girth is impossible to take in one go, leaving you often choking and having to jack the rest of his member with your other two hands. But when you’re in wolf form, with your now larger frame and more importantly, longer chops, he fits just perfectly without any trouble. You had gotten pretty good at avoiding scraping with your larger teeth, instead now pressing your twitching nose deep into his pelvis while his cock breaches your throat heavenly. He closes his eyes, arched up in bliss and forgetting his brother on the phone.
“Tommy—I’m—not feeling great… this dog…I gotta—I’m—“
You flips him over again to his face, your tongue slitting between his ass cheeks and gliding over his taint. Joel lets out a shocked whine when you prod at his hole, glazing over it until slick from your saliva coats his entrance enough to slip the very tip inside.
“‘Mgonnahavetocallyouback—“ Joel smashes the end call button with stumbled fingers.
“You’re not putting anything in my ass tonight,” he groans as you lap at his entrance.
You snap at him angrily, nudging his balls with your nose again. He feels your teeth nip along them as gently but hungrily as possible, hoping he’ll finally take the hint.
“Do you want me to fill you or not?” He asks, turning over and tossing his phone.
Your tail wags excitedly, fast panting jiggling your belly.
You lean back, spread your legs, as two clawed fingers spread your hairy folds. He can see it glistening with hormonal juices even with the slick fur around it. You lazily roll your paw in circled motions, a general amount of your wolf pussy juices dribbling down below and fillinig the room. Tongue lolled to the side with a heavy look in your eyes, your quick breaths dry you out, licking over your chops over and over again as Joel positions himself between your legs, his leaking cock in one hand.
“Ugh—wait—“
He reaches behind him to fish a few viagra’s, knowing even he will tire after a few round of half dozen, but you’ll be needing his seed pounded deep into your womb for at least 15 times tonight.
He mounts you like a dog, one foot propped up on the bed while the other steadies on his knee. “You gonna be a good pup tonight?”
You shake your head no teasingly, spreading yourself wider for him.
“No? How else am I gonna fill ya with a litter?”
You whine out dramatically, pleading with him. He keeps slapping his dick along your slit, giving himself a good warm pussy soaking without actually doing you any favors. “Not sure you’re worth breeding with pups since you’ve been so—“
Your jaws snap shut with a vibrating growl. One whole paw wraps around Joel’s waist as you hoist him towards you, his dick finally penetrating your walls. You let out a delicious howl, using him to fuck yourself.
“HEY I’m not—shit baby—not a fuckin—toy!” It’s so easy for him to get lost in your cunt, internally much warmer and almost sucking him back in for more. You’re probably meant to take another werewolf’s cock, a werewolf’s knot, something proportionate, but you always go feral for Joel. And Joel’s a blessed guy down there. You enjoy the fact that you can be stretched wide in human form, but needing no preamble in wolf form.
And wolf or not, Joel Miller has breeder balls. The scent alone of his seed swimming inside them sends you into early heat each time, leading to nights like this where you’re biting at his sack then pinning him down until he dumps load after sticky load into your womb.
He doesn’t have a knot, but having human cock in werewolf pussy has its perks. Like how he can push deep inside, his balls snugly pressed against your entrance until they slip inside too. The two of you groan lowly as he ruts himself inside you. Your walls practically swallow his cock and balls all in one, refusing to let him pop them back out. Warm and wet, you can feel all of his twitching inside you, ready to give you those pups you’d been begging him for. Whether he understood that or not from you, it didn’t matter.
Joel grips your fur tight as he splatters his cum inside you. Maybe this time, it’s deep enough that it’ll take.
Even so, you’ve got the rest of the night to find out.
DISOBEDIENCE! (PT.1)
Summary: Y/N Swan knew one thing, they HATED being controlled. Y/N wanted free will and broke any rule that they saw as controlling them. Soon Y/N and Bella move to Forks, Y/N finally found a group they could be free with….Y/N found their pack but at the cost of others becoming obsessed with them
TW/CW:Yandere behavior, unhealthy behavior, unhealthy relationship, abusive behavior,abusive relationship, Y/N hates the cullens due to werewolf behaviors, they were already turned before hand and didn’t have a pack, Y/N turned while in Arizona so the sudden hyperactive behavior is new, Y/N gets adopted into a pack, Y/N is a hella hyperactive, only wolf gifs because I’m not sure what to use for the middle one ngl, Y/N acts like a lost and sleepy puppy sometimes but not all the times, have this while I try to finish up request, tell me if I need to add more
You smiled widely. You were moving in with your dad! You loved him! Bella seemed upset with moving to Forks but you didn’t care! As soon as you saw your dad, you smiled widely as you ran and jumped onto him. He was startled but he was able to caught you. He laughed as you hugged him tightly. “I see you kissed me Y/N” Charlie softly said as you rapidly nodded your head. “Get off of him Y/N” Bella said. You looked at her upset.
She was commanding you. You hated it. You weren’t a damn creature to command! “I’ll get off if dad wants me to” you replied as you laid your head on his shoulder. He decided to hold you until you all arrived at his car. You were quick to get into the back seat so you could hold your head out the window. You had a lot of energy like usual.
You were smiling as you took in the air of the forest, you felt safe. Arizona was fun but not safe, there was no woods for you to hunt but there are here! You can let out all of your energy for once! “Oh, I got you two a car. It’s a truck actually, I hope you two don’t mind sharing” Charlie said as he smiled at you pulling your head back in the car with a wide smile. “REALLY!? OH YESYESYESYESYES!” You were more hyper than what he was used to but he didn’t mind, you were his little kid.
Bella smiled, not at the truck sound, at you. You always made her happy, even when you didn’t listen to her. Soon you two arrived at Billy black’s place for the truck, you didn’t even realized you all unpacked. You were going up and down on your tippy toes so you didn’t run around to annoy the man. Werewolf. You knew it, you can smell the scent. He was definitely a well respected one, you haven’t met other werewolves before yet you knew better than to outright ask.
Soon his son Jacob showed up. You all chuckled at Billy black and Charlie doing their friendly rivalry. You looked at Jacob confused…he smelt like a wolf but..he wasn’t one? Maybe it’s because he hangs around his dad a lot. You weren’t paying attention to the conversation until your name was said. You looked up and tilted your head, why did he smell like a wolf? Why did Billy Black smell like a wolf? This just confused you a lot. Bella sighed and stayed near you, she wanted to make sure you didn’t wander off.
This was going to be a long life. “Oh Billy, meet my other kid, Y/N. Y/N, say hi.” Charlie stated and pulled you beside him so Billy could see you. “Hello!” Billy chuckled at the enthusiastic ‘Hello’ so he waved back. “Hello to you as well. Last I saw, you weren’t this energetic!” Billy pointed out which made you chuckle. “Growing up does that!” “That it does. Fixed up the truck for you and Bella.” You squealed in joy and immediately got into the back seat, basically making sure it’s covered in your scent.
Bella chuckled and softly sighed. She enjoyed your behavior even if it was a big chaotic. “Thank you.” Bella said to Billy which got a head nod from him. Bella knew that this was going to be a long time while living here but you seemed happy..so she’ll put up with it for a while
Parings → Alpha! Peter Parker x Omega! Reader
Warnings → fluff
Summary → For the first time you're nesting in Peter's room.
You let out a soft sigh of contentment as you finally finished arranging your nest. The mountain of blankets, pillows, and soft clothes was piled high, smelling exactly like Peter. His scent wrapped around you, filling the air with warmth and security. You nestled into the middle of the makeshift bed, hugging one of Peter’s worn shirts close to your chest.
May had been more than understanding when you knocked on the door earlier, cheeks flushed, and quietly asked if you could stay over for the afternoon.
“I’m nesting,” you had whispered, feeling shy.
Her eyes softened instantly. “Of course, sweetie. Come right in. Peter should be home after school. You know where his room is.”
You were grateful for how much she understood. After settling into Peter’s room, you had spent hours gathering every piece of soft fabric and clothing that reminded you of him. His bed was at the center of it all, now buried under the layers of warmth you’d created. You felt at ease here, knowing this was your space, your safe little corner of the world while you nested.
The door of the apartment clicked open, the familiar sound of Peter arriving home. Your heart sped up, already feeling the connection between you and him grow stronger. Your Alpha was home.
You stayed curled up in the middle of your nest, listening as Peter called out to his aunt.
“Hey, May! I’m home!”
“Peter, your Omega is your room,” May called back from the kitchen.
There was a pause, and you could practically hear the confusion in Peter’s voice when he answered. “Wait, Y/n’s here?”
“She’s nesting,” May added softly, “in your room.”
Another pause.
“Oh.”
You smiled to yourself, feeling a small wave of nervousness. You hadn’t seen Peter all day, and now that he was about to walk into his room and find you nestled in his scent, your stomach flipped with excitement.
You could hear his soft footsteps approaching up the stairs, then the door creaked open. Peter stepped into the room, and the moment his eyes landed on you, a slow smile spread across his face.
“Hey,” he said, voice soft, as though he were afraid to disturb your nest.
You sat up slightly, arms still wrapped around his hoodie. “Hi, Peter.”
He looked at the mountain of blankets and clothes around you, his eyes shining with curiosity. “Are… are those my clothes?”
You flushed but nodded. “Yeah. I hope it’s okay. I just—your scent—it’s comforting.”
Peter’s smile widened, and he stepped further into the room, letting the door close behind him. “Of course, it’s okay. I didn’t expect to find you nesting here, though. You usually like doing it at home.”
You shrugged, biting your lip. “I just wanted to be closer to you this time. I don’t know. It feels right, like… I need you more.”
Peter looked at you with an affectionate glint in his eyes, his heart clearly melting at your words. “You don’t have to explain,” he said, moving closer to the edge of your nest. “I’m just glad you feel comfortable enough to nest here. Do you want me to… I don’t know, help with anything? Or should I leave you alone?”
You shook your head quickly. “No, stay. Please.”
Peter didn’t need to be asked twice. He kicked off his shoes and moved to sit on the edge of the bed, careful not to disturb the nest too much. You scooted over, making space for him in the middle of the blankets.
“How was school?” You asked, trying to keep the conversation light even though your heart was thudding in your chest from how close he was.
Peter chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. “Same as always. Missed you, though. I kept thinking about you. I didn’t expect to come home and find you like this, but it’s a nice surprise.”
His gaze lingered on the nest you had built, and you could tell he was both fascinated and touched. It wasn’t often that you let him near your nest, but something about today felt different. You wanted him close, wanted his scent to surround you even more now that he was here.
“Can I…?” Peter gestured to your side, indicating if he could join you fully in the nest.
Your heart swelled with affection. You shifted slightly, giving him room, and he slid in beside you, his arm wrapping protectively around your waist as soon as he settled in. His warmth immediately soothed your nerves, and you leaned into his chest, sighing with contentment.
“This is nice,” Peter murmured, his chin resting on top of your head.
You nodded, closing your eyes as you soaked in his presence. “I feel safe with you here.”
His hand moved to stroke your arm gently. “I’ll always keep you safe.”
For a while, the two of you just stayed like that, wrapped up in the nest you had made, neither of you speaking. Peter’s scent filled the air even more now that he was close, his Alpha instincts kicking in as he pulled you closer, his protective side taking over.
“I wish I could stay here with you forever,” Peter said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. “Forget about school, patrol, and everything else. Just… stay with you.”
You smiled against his chest, your hand resting over his heart. “We’ll have plenty of time for that. But I do like the idea of you staying here with me.”
Peter let out a soft laugh. “You’d get sick of me after a while.”
“Never,” you replied immediately, your voice firm. “You’re my Alpha.”
His grip tightened around you, and he buried his nose in your hair, breathing in your scent. “And you’re my Omega.”
The way he said it made your heart flutter, and you could feel the bond between you two strengthening. It wasn’t just the physical closeness, but the emotional connection that made moments like this so precious.
Peter nuzzled the side of your neck, his lips brushing against your scent gland, sending a wave of warmth through you. “Your scent is so sweet,” he whispered.
Your cheeks flushed. “Peter…”
“I’m serious,” he said, his voice soft but insistent. “I love how you smell. It’s so calming, like home.”
You turned your head slightly to meet his gaze. His brown eyes were full of warmth and affection, and for a moment, the world outside didn’t exist. It was just the two of you, wrapped up in each other.
“Do you want to stay with me tonight?” You asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
Peter’s eyes widened slightly in surprise. “Are you sure?”
You nodded, feeling shy but determined. “I want you close. Please?”
Peter didn’t hesitate. “I’d love to.”
He shifted slightly, making himself more comfortable in your nest, pulling you closer until you were practically lying on top of him. You could feel his heartbeat under your hand, steady and reassuring.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Peter whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I’ll stay with you for as long as you need me.”
You smiled, feeling completely at peace in his arms. “Thank you, Peter.”
“Anything for you,” he replied, his voice soft and full of love.
And as the evening drew on, you found yourself drifting off in his arms, feeling safe, protected, and loved, knowing that your Alpha was right there with you.
What if.. Dina + Werewolf reader
Maybe R is very secretive about it at first, nobody knows at all, they go about business as usual other than maybe disappearing every full moon. R is just pretty strong and fast and they can just write that off as being athletic or something
Dina could possibly find out when Dina and R are on patrol and they get ambushed by a bunch of raiders, then R is forced to transform into the big werewolf form in a last ditch effort to protect Dina?
Live Laugh Love Dina Nolastname..
❝ under blue moon ❞ — 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 !
warnings and disclaimers, established wlw relationship (not implicated), half werewolf/human!reader, reader has long hair, human!dina, cursing, angst with comfort, self-deprecation, sequences of violence, deaths, descriptions of wounds, mentions of blood.
TAPE THAT MOUTH SHUT, “we love you dina” we all say in unison.
like the repetitive tap of a foot, you were restless. plagued with conflicting emotions that a slip-up at any given moment could alter the course of history, a beloved one with many. every howl under a night sky, a display of unwavering loyalty, ignites a sense of profound shame within you. perhaps this constant state of self-deprecation and guilt stems from a deep-seated selfish desire to release, to finally be who you were meant to be, not forced.
from the unyielding itch to molting, you didn't wish to frighten or harm anyone, but sometimes it was necessary. a sharp whistle pierced the tranquil expanse of lush forests you patrolled alongside dina, morphing into a fierce war cry. your primary concern was preventing any harm from befalling your companion. the attack materialized so abruptly that it seemed almost surreal. the scathing slash struck swiftly, leaving a searing wound in its wake.
in your perception, the situation was akin to clinging to a rope for dear life, so tightly that it sliced through your skin, leaving behind scars begging to be licked clean. the rope itself was not robust, hanging by an exceedingly fragile thread. every action demanding meticulous movement, for a single misstep could spell doom.
the same doom that loomed over your relationships, uncertain if they could ever be salvaged. the relentless onslaught came fast, and just as quickly, the man perched atop you pinned you down, leaving you battered and close to your final breath. in that critical moment, you gazed over to your right, desperately seeking an escape. there, you saw dina, her life slipping away as she was being strangled. amidst the chaos, a profound realization washed over you. it’s clear like any human, they have a breaking point, and being half-human, you certainly experienced those moments of revelations too, just like you were destined to now.
at first, you felt a disconnect, as if the world had shifted into a hazy fog. then, through the blur, a trembling, bloodied figure came into focus. she looked up at you, her eyes wide with fear, as if you were some malevolent entity. the truth was, you were, yet not a monster in the conventional sense.
driven by primitive instinct, you lashed out at her and fled through the dense forest, putting distance between yourself and the once battlefield. with your heart pounding furiously, the stinging sensation of tears threatened to fall, it all felt useless, as if your efforts amounted to nothing. you were nothing, but a failure. now, certainly, you were gonna be alone. wearied, you gently placed the terrified girl on a patch of clear ground before collapsing at her feet, utterly spent.
as if in a scene from a film, a brilliant aura enveloped you, gently shrinking your form until you were your true self once more, but—were you ever truly your “true self” to begin with? your tresses fell like a curtain, shielding your face, almost as if they spoke on your behalf. shame cloaked you, fearing what the other might think, but realization sunk in: you couldn’t hide any longer, not anymore. you gathered the courage and swept your hair behind your ear.
inches from your visage was the face you dreaded, one that could turn away and call out wolf— literally. you stared up at her, tears streaming down your face. You weren't physically harmed, yet sobs continued to spill from your lips.
your voice quivered as you choked out, "i can't... i won't hurt you." you attempted to sit up, but to your dismay, she moved back, the small distance feeling like a chasm between you. it was as if the whole world had been turned upside down—your feet no longer firmly planted on the ground.
it might be for the best that everything unfolded this way, as deep down, you had no real grasp of whether you were truly domesticated. just like animals with their innermost instincts, there was a chance that an unexpected trigger could send you into a tailspin. with tears streaming down your face, you tearfully admitted, "i’m a monster." slowly, you began to rise to your feet.
“hey, hey,” her hands, gentle and soothing, came to rest on your tear-stained cheek to stop you, redirecting your gaze to meet hers. she softly reassured you, “you’re far from that.” like a mother calming a distressed child, she stroked your skin tenderly with her thumb.
“but you look at me like i am.” you murmured.
she huffed, clearly at a loss for words, “i—what is there to say to this?” her smile held a hint of resignation as she continued, “sure, you're a bit on the hairy side, but you did get us out of a hairy situation.” a pitiful attempt to lift the mood with a lighthearted remark in a tense situation wasn't so easily dispersed. unmoved by her attempt at humor, you offered her a cold shoulder, extinguishing the fragile flicker of light that had briefly appeared.
she notices your expression and sighs, momentarily resting her forehead against yours. as she inadvertently glances downward, the change in her expression prompts you to follow suit.
immediate embarrassment flooded you as you swiftly move to cover your private areas, your face beet red. "oh shit." you muttered, realizing you had forgotten a crucial detail.
her infectious laughter sliced through the tension in the room— or rather forest. with a toothy grin, she took off her jacket and draped it over your shoulders, quipping, “there you go, you wild animal."
"hey!" you pouting in response.
Eddie gave nothing away, and neither did you which was more than a little infuriating for Steve.
After the incident with the impromptu dog sitting and tire tracks on his lawn, he hadn’t seen hind nor hair of you. No daily runs in the woods, or in the crowd at Corroded’s Tuesday night shows, and certainly not frequenting Family Video.
The balm of summer has settled upon Hawkins, humidity sticking like dew to his skin no matter how long he lingers beneath the spray of the showerhead. He’s sweated through his shirt and vest by the time he clocks out to leave for the day, muttering his goodbyes to Robin as she reminds him to pick her up at closing tonight.
For as much as Steve loves the languid drip of summer days, he positively loathes the heat. Can’t stand feeling sticky and damp with no reprieve. So it’s really a no-brainer that he elects to waste the afternoon in the swimming pool, waiting for the a/c to cool the house to a respectable 68 degrees, utility bill be damned.
He’s driving back from Family Video, Robin in tow, as night falls. The streetlamps had a dull and ineffective glow which only partially illuminated the edges of the road. Steve took the back roads to Robin’s house, one of his many shortcuts through a town in which nothing ever happened.
“Steve!”
Robin’s gasp, and spastic pointing are enough to startle him from fiddling with the radio. Eyes slicing to the road, he sees an animal darting across the pavement, and swerves to miss them. The front corner of the car wings left as it grazes the animal with a loud thud, following by the shrill screech of wheels skidding to a stop.
His right hand splays against Robin’s collarbone and chest, pressing her back into the seat. He can feel her frantic breaths heaving from her lungs as she sucks in paltry breaths.
“Are you alright?”
She nods, fingers fumbling to release the seatbelt. She’s shaking a little from the shock of it all— Steve hitting an animal with his car on the edge of the greenbelt. Her mind is spinning and she can only imagine how he’s feeling, if the slight tremor in his hand still affixed to her chest is anything to go by.
“Is it—?”
He clears his throat and unbuckles his seat belt and opens his door quickly. “Just stay here, I’ll check it out.” The hazard lights click on as Steve steps out to approach the animal.
It’s lying at the center of the road, the poor thing’s chest rising and falling in slow succession. It’s still moving, hazily coming to in the still summer evening. Head turning toward him and eyes blinking away the fear in a flash of milk glass.
Oh fuck. Oh shit.
Suddenly spurned into action, Steve moves with a speed that even Robin finds shocking. It’s a moment she’ll never forget. In an instant he heaves the large dog into his arms, shouting at her to open the back door in a panicked voice.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry.”
She wonders why her best friend is profusely apologizing to an animal that seems, at first glance, none the worse for wear. Steve slides it into the back and jumps into the driver’s seat, peeling out so fast that she barely has time to get into the vehicle herself.
“Steve, what the ever loving fuck is going on?”
Turning to him for the first time since the slapdash animal rescue, Robin’s mouth falls open in thinly veiled terror. Steve is drenched in blood and debris, remnants of fur and skin stuck to his gray shirt, slowly staining itself maroon and perfuming the air with a metallic tang. It’s too much blood to be from the accident, right? The animal was already injured when they clipped it; it had to be.
He doesn’t reply, electing to simply speed back to his house and run a bloodied hand through his hair frantically.
Robin faces forward and blinks.
She catches a flicker of something in the rearview mirror.
Wrong noises are coming from the backseat, terrible growls and low whines. The sound of joints popping in and out of place, muscles shifting and pulling taut beneath skin. Teeth scraping and grinding against one another.
It’s the pain that brings you to consciousness— knifing through your skull and making you want to vomit. Swallowing back bile and blood in your mouth, you want to rip yourself apart and keep ripping until there’s nothing left. Your jaw is moving unnaturally so, everything is wrong and you want to scream. Piping hot and burning, you’re sure you’ll spontaneously combust any second now when a hysterical shriek rends the air.
But not from you.
Steve is wholly unequipped to deal with his best friend’s nervous breakdown and a very naked what he can only assume werewolf dipping in and out of consciousness and bleeding out on the tile of his bathroom.
Between Robin’s blubbering and your soft murmurs, he can really only think to do one thing:
Call Eddie.
And that seemed like a good plan half an hour ago when he laid you in the bathtub and swaddled Robin in a smattering of blankets on the sofa downstairs.
But now, he’s not so sure.
Because Eddie strides into his house like god sent him to settle a score, wearing fury on his face in a way that could be considered cuttingly alluring, if not for the broken glass bottle digging into the skin of Steve’s neck as his back hits the wall.
“Give me one reason not to spill you guts all over your Nikes, Harrington.”
It’s more of a snarl than a request.
And what is there to say, really?
Sorry, I hit your werewolf best friend with my car after snooping around because for some ungodly reason I’m drawn to her and unable to control myself.
His hands and temples are covered in dried blood, dark and foreboding, crusted on his skin and hair and nails. To say nothing of his shirt, plastered to his chest and emanating a startingly metallic odor.
As if suddenly realizing this, Eddie blinks and loosens his grip on Steve’s shirt, palm coming away tinged in blood.
“What did you do?”
And, to be frank, Steve preferred Eddie’s rage to whatever this was, dread, he supposed.
“It was an accident.”
They both turn to the pile of blankets on the couch that is Robin. Only her face is visible, pale and dazed.
Eddie turns back to Steve with a look that could turn most people to stone, and yanks him up the stairs to the bathroom.
Greeted by a warm wall of steam, Eddie shoves Steve toward the sink with gruff instructions to find a first-aid kit. He crouches in front of you and murmurs in a soft voice. Languorously, you turn your head toward him with an easy smile, lips bloody.
“Hiya pal.”
Your voice is a croak, rough and jagged as it edges up your throat.
Eddie says nothing, rolling his lips between his teeth as his hands close in around your face turning it this way and that as gently as he can. The spray of the hot water has matted your hair impossibly at the back of your skull, rivulets coming back a translucent red on his palm. A large bruise blooms burgundy against your hip, splotchy and livid.
He leans you forward to survey your back, brushing away the rocks and dirt embedded into your skin and mindful of the raised red road rash. But none of that goes to explain the blood swirling down the drain— where is it coming from?
Steve stands awkwardly behind, red and white box in hand.
Elbows resting on your knees as Eddie continues his perusal of wounds, you shoot him a sleepy smile before your head falls to your forearms. The mad fluttering of your eyelashes as you battle to stay awake.
“She can sleep damn near anywhere,” Eddie mutters as your body goes lax in his arms, “Long as she knows she’s the deadliest thing in the room.”
“Is that, uh, safe?” Steve asks, handing the kit over as Eddie extends his hand.
“Safe enough. Help me turn her on her side, will ya?”
Both men let out a jarring gasp at the sight of the bite to your side. A festering and weeping thing, blood almost black as it skitters down your stomach and back. Steve’s mouth fills with saliva as he steps back and vomits. Eddie’s nostrils flare as he breathes steadily in and out, trying to piece out who or what could’ve done such a thing to you.
Steve spits a few times for good measure before gargling some mouthwash.
“I told you not to go in the woods.”
It’s about as subtle as a grenade, Eddie’s pointed accusation.
But that doesn’t make it any less true. If Steve would have just minded his own business, heeded Munson’s warnings, you wouldn’t be bleeding out in his bathtub right now.
“I-I know. I’m sorry.”
He leans back on his heels, a ringed hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose as Eddie methodically begins setting out bandages, antiseptic, and gauze.
“Can you thread a needle?” He asks around a wisp of silver clenched between his teeth and hands the needle and spool of thread to Steve.
“Yeah, sure.”
“And find her some clothes.”
“Uh huh.”
He hands the threaded needle back to Eddie with trembling hands, absolutely terrified at the gray pallor of your skin. The surface wounds stitching themselves closed, as blood seeps from mangled flesh curving along your side.
Steve haphazardly grabs a shirt and shorts, tossing them to the side as he’s hauled back toward the bathtub. In the few minutes of his absence, Eddie has worked quickly. Your wounds are scrubbed clean and bandaged, and he’s angled the showerhead to hit just beneath your wound having cleaned it prior.
“Okay Harrington,” Eddie begins, grabbing a switchblade from his pocket and pouring the antiseptic over the blade as it flicks open. “Here’s how it’s gonna go: the wound is too severe for a simple bandage and she’d bleed through it anyway. The only shot in hell we have is you staying close and using your blood to jumpstart her system. We’ll have to be quick—”
“Wait, what?”
“Because I’ll have to disinfect the bite before her were instincts kick in and she starts healing on her own. S’like jumping a car, no big deal.”
Stupidly, Steve doesn’t pull back his palm from Eddie in time, as the wet slice of the blade pierces his skin. It burns as the blood wells up from the cut, bright red and cascading down his hand. Eddie yanks Steve’s hand toward your partially open mouth, eyelids fluttering in your uneasy sleep.
He presses the heel of Steve’s palm to your lips until you subconsciously latch, the tips of your fangs grazing his skin. It’s horrifying, Steve thinks, how easily your tongue laps at the ruby red rivulets weeping from his broken skin. You hum contentedly, swallowing over and over again until he realizes that he’s gone all slack and whimpering.
Well, now that is just embarrassing.
“All right, champ,” Eddie says, pulling you off of Steve and he mourns the loss of the warmth of your lips.
You tip back against the porcelain and howl as Eddie pours antiseptic onto the wound that is rapidly stitching itself together on your side.
Steve falls with a thud against the wall, cradling his cut palm to his chest as he watches in holy terror as you magically revive before his very eyes.
“Blood of your blood.”
Eddie says this as if it could possibly explain anything.
“What?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Steve can see the blood— his blood— as it warms your cheeks and lips, pumps life back into your muscles and arteries. And you must be a living nightmare torn straight from the depths of his mind, more wild than the wilderness skirting the edges of town, a cursed thing surely there to kill them all.
“She’ll be weak for a few days,” Eddie says, leaning back against the wall after he cuts off the water. “We’ll just keep her hydrated and fed and she’ll be right as rain in no time.”
Delirium must be setting in, because Steve finds himself nodding along to Eddie’s instructions. Allows himself to be tugged forward by the lanky man as he slices a near-identical cut into your palm.
“Drink, it’ll close up soon and you need your strength.”
Steve doesn’t even think twice about it, sinking his teeth into the meat of your palm and sucking. Every time your body tried to stitch itself back together, he draws forth another pull of garnet blood, precious droplets cascading down his jaw and neck, failing to stifle the noise trying to break free from his throat.
The room doesn’t so much as spin as it shifts, blurring out in haze and lights bursting like stars behind his eyelids. He tongues at your lifeline, gasping, slurping, and moaning until—
“Okay Romeo, slow it down there.”
Eddie grips the scruff of his neck like he’s an overexcited puppy and jerks him backward onto the cold tile floor.
“‘Kay,” He blinks lazily, mouth slick and painted a violent shade of red as he slumps to the floor.
Eddie eyes him warily, “Ya with us, Harrington?”
“Feel high,” Steve replies, still woozy and buzzing.
Before he can reply, you shake yourself awake and shudder in the cool air. You look around, everything too bright and smelling like you’d huffed the entire contents of a janitor’s closet. Someone tosses a shirt and shorts your way, and you slowly worm your way into the clothes. Skin feeling too tight and something smarting at your hip.
“Fuck,” A dazed voice says, sending a shiver down your spine. A hand gently touching the side of your face, blood smearing against your cheekbone as he turns your head. “Goddamn, you’re beautiful.”
Eddie scoffs from somewhere near, as your lips kick up in a smile. His thumb grazes the full of your lips, skirting against the pearly white of your fangs. And it’s only when you take in a lungful of Harrington that it all falls together.
Tearing yourself from the surging desire to nuzzle into his open palm, you bare your teeth and train your eyes on Eddie. Snarling to say:
“The fuck did you do.”
Because there was absolutely no way this human was somehow halfway to being your mate.
Not when you’d told your Guardian, who was smirking down at you now, that under no circumstances would that be happening.
He barks a laugh and shrugs as if to say, you were dying, what could I do?
You shakily stand, ignoring the crestfallen expression on Steve’s face, and amble out of the bathroom.
Life must have been some cruel joke, only to serve Steve Harrington, of all people, up on a plate and wave him in your face as something you could ever afford to keep.
A cutting slice of tragedy to give him some kind of forever, when you couldn’t even take care of yourself, much less a pack.
The words of the only father figure you’d ever known pounded in your skull as you hurried down the stairs and out into the balmy night:
This is a gift, it comes with a price.
You’re gone for what feels like days.
A span of time that finds Steve shaky and pale, nearly biting off the heads of everyone currently invading his house instead of answering their inane questions, until a voice in his head warns, Easy now.
Robin’s somewhat functioning, though not entirely recovered from the shock of the century; the revelation that werewolves exist. And that her best friend is fated to be with one.
She just about lost her mind when Eddie sat the pair of them down to explain things.
“Mates. What does that mean?”
She’d done most of the talking, since Steve hadn’t said a word since you left.
Eddie sighs and his eyes dart back and forth, as if he’s second guessing himself in sharing this information outside the pack, as ramshackle as it was.
“It’s like, having partner, I guess. But it’s predetermined biologically? We don’t really know how or why it happens, and it’s rare when it does.”
“So… not every werewolf gets a mate.”
“Well, I mean they can date and be with whoever they want, just like us. But if there’s a mate and the circumstances align just so…” He trails off and glances at Steve, guilt etched on his face. “It makes being with anyone besides your mate difficult.”
“How so?”
“Kind of like a bad break-up, but you both want to be together? There’s no physical ailment, but you just feel—”
“Abandoned.”
Eddie swallows and nods.
“And she just—”
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” He cautions Robin. “She could come back, we don’t know. But, to be fair, I did kind of fuck it up.”
“Wait, hold on.” Robin extricates an arm from her swaddle of blankets and grabs Steve’s hand, “So you’re saying that she didn’t reject this whole thing?! She just ran out of here like a bat outta hell! How is that not a rejection?”
“It’s more complicated than that.”
“Okay,” she drawls, “And?”
Eddie sharks his head, “I really can’t say more than I already have.”
She scoffs, “That’s a fuckin’ lie and you know it.”
Eddie’s eyes cut back to Steve as he lets Robin run his thumb across his bandaged hand. His eyes almost looking through Eddie, far off and distant. It’s spooky, how quickly the light left him as you slipped out of the front door that night. How Steve could tell the instant it happened, jerking upright on the tile floor and Eddie watched as his body tensed, muscles coiling with adrenaline and no way to rid himself of it.
He scrubs a hand down the tired plane of his face, letting loose a beleaguered sigh.
“Look, I’m a Guardian, not a Scrivener alright?”
“Like we’re supposed to know what that means!” Robin hisses in reply, thumb worrying across Steve’s lax palm.
“I just gotta make a call, okay?” He says, rising to stand and roll his neck. “Stay with him until I get back.”
“Yeah,” She calls as he walks to the phone in the kitchen, fingers punching in the familiar set of numbers. “No shit, Sherlock!”
Eddie drums his fingers against the wall and hopes to God she picks up, because if he has to talk to her mother one more time—
“Hello, Wheeler residence,” She chirps down the line.
Eddie lets out a sigh of relief, his forehead resting on the cool wood paneling as he says, “Hey Nance, we’ve got a bit of a situation. Can you make it to Harrington’s place?”
It takes all of ten minutes for Nancy Wheeler to come barrelling in, her arms laden with books and giving Eddie a look that would strike lesser men dead on the spot.
“I could kill you Munson.”
“Yeah, yeah,” He says with a lazy wave of his hand, “Join the club Wheels.”
“I get first dibs,” Robin pipes up with her first smile of the evening.
“Guess I’ll settle for sloppy seconds then,” Nancy huffs, dropping the books on an ottoman. “I can’t believe you did this, going against not only her express wishes but Steve’s as well? Bet you didn’t even tell him what all this entailed and now look at him!”
Steve, for all the talk about him, says nothing. His face radiating heat and steadily becoming a vibrant pink.
“Is he,” Eddie begins, stepping closer. “Blushing?”
“Nah,” Robin says knowing best and laying a cool palm to his forehead, “That’s no blush, that’s a fever.”
The thing about Steve is that he rarely, if ever, gets sick. Had perfect attendance all through school, until he got caught skipping, because he’d never gotten the crud. So when he emits a full body shiver, Robin has no choice but to act.
His teeth are still chattering even after being hauled upstairs and smothered beneath blankets. And saying that Steve feels ill, or under the weather or even is inching toward death is a massive understatement.
He grunts beneath the sheets and blankets, socked feet sliding against the rumpled fabric. He aches from the top of his head to the toes of his feet, somehow his fingernails hurt. What is up with that bullshit?
And yeah, he’s supposed to stay in bed, he knows that. But he can’t see the door from up here and what if you come back, what then? What if you and Eddie get into it again and you storm out?
He’s not warming up any more up here than he would down there. At least, that’s what he tells himself as he thrashes beneath the covers and hobbles down the hall.
What Steve is not anticipating however, is to find his living room filled with the likes of Chief Hopper and his daughter El, a lanky older man that he doesn’t recognize, the Byers family, Lucas, Dustin, Mike, Max, Billy fucking Hargrove, and finally, you.
So, it’s not all that surprising when he slumps to a heap on the landing of the stairs.
Alright, okay, he passed out a little bit. What gives?
Well, in your opinion (which really is the only one that matters at present), Steve fucked up is what.
Not only did he get out of bed and drop like a sack of potatoes at the sight of what can only be described as a pack of people? Werwolves, who knows—in his house, but on the way down, he managed to knock his head on the banister and come to with someone half-shouting at him and half-shouting at everyone else in the room.
“If anything, this is Munson’s fault.”
“Shut the fuck up Hargrove,” Eddie sulks, “No one asked for the opinion of a drop-out meat-head.”
“That’s rich coming from you, super senior.”
“I swear to god—”
“Boy, you better settle down!”
“C’mon Wayne, I’m just—”
A low, warning growl cuts through the room.
Everyone has the common sense to look abashed, tail between their legs, and even Hargrove stubs out his cigarette.
“Cut that shit out.”
Angry eyes greet Steve as he groggily comes to. Irises bleeding milky white as you struggle to contain your baser nature.
“Are you alright?”
Each word is bitten and harsh, your teeth set in a tidy row against your plump lips.
He nods, wincing at the pain blooming in his temple. You continue to glare as you sit him upright, “You.”
Steve flinches, pain thudding dully in his skull, all too aware that there will be an audience at his execution if your expression is anything to go by. He opens his mouth to apologize, the sibilant ‘s’ on the tip of his tongue, until your eyes slice to his and stun him into silence.
“Don’t you even start.” With a sigh, you join him leaning back against the railing, hand falling uselessly between you. “This is all my fault. You wouldn't be in this mess if I had any lick of sense.”
It startles a laugh from him, how quickly you rush to accept the blame.
“Well, I did hit you with my car.”
“Oh, right,” You snort, “That.”
“Can I um,” He says haltingly, “What happened?”
Your head knocks once against the wood banister, “You were supposed to stay in bed.” Pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, you shrug. “Best I can guess is you were worried and got up. Only to be greeted with the shock of a lifetime by having a buncha weres in your living room.”
His lips form a silent ‘oh.’
“We’re not a pack,” You’re quick to clarify, “At least, not officially. And they’re not all weres, just most of ‘em.”
A comfortable silence falls between you, and Steve is placated, for now.
“Hey, boss?”
Though, he still can’t get over that Billy motherfucking Hargrove is in his living room and deferring to you. You merely turn your head before he says something about some vital information being left out of the welcome packets for tonight, and you sigh with a roll of your eyes.
“Sure Hargrove, lemme get Steve settled and we’ll get into it.”
You stand up pulling Steve with you, and he sees Billy nod before lighting up another cigarette and turning toward the window.
He’s insistent that he doesn’t need a babysitter, but that does nothing to stop Dustin from inviting himself into Steve’s room when you go down to sort things out with the not-pack. He feels marginally better, and maybe Eddie was right when he said proximity helps. He doesn’t feel as wrecked as he was earlier, and if anything, it’s getting a bit hot underneath all the covers on his bed.
“Don’t smother him, Henderson,” You grunt, sticking out your chin as you lean on the doorjamb an hour or so later, while Dustin continues piling blankets on Steve. “This isn’t Mommy Dearest, kid.”
Steve thinks it’s cute, the slight drawl in your voice as you scold him. It’s probably your not-pack voice, the lower register, and gruffness of it. Packmaster-mode, Dustin had called it, even though the title is technically Alpha. But no one calls you that to your face, something about not liking the moniker or responsibility of it.
“Alright punk, scram.”
Dustin does as he’s told, begrudgingly so.
“Y’know,” He says, pausing at the door, “You’ve got to work on your people skills.”
Flicking the hat off of his head and shutting the door in response, you turn back to Steve looking ready to throttle the pipsqueak.
“Jesus fucking Christ,” You sigh, slumping down on the bed.
“It’s his ego, right?”
You blow a raspberry and let out a humorless laugh, “Eddie says it’s his tone.”
“Hmm, yeah. That too.”
Steve shuffled over to make room on the bed and peeled the covers back in a huff. You’d kicked off your sneakers and snuck one leg under the sheets next to his, the other propped with your foot resting on the mattress.
“Oh my god, you’re so warm.”
“Yeah, we run hot. It’s a were thing.”
Steve doesn’t sag against you exactly—it wouldn’t make any sort of physical sense—but he feels like he does it metaphorically.
“Ugh, that must be brutal in the summer.”
“You’re tellin’ me.” You give him a small smile and let your arm graze his thigh. “But it’s not all bad.”
Steve picks idly at the fraying hem of his shorts, fingers itching for something, anything to do. He’s not mad, well, not exactly, but he is kinda keyed up.
“Can hear you thinkin’ in there.”
You crack an eye open, and he turns back, a blush dusting his cheekbones.
“It’s just—” He starts to say, falling silent as you sit up beside him, the legs of your shorts, which are unfortunately boxers he grabbed without looking, rise up to reveal the soft skin of your thighs. And your skin is the only thing soft about you, from what Steve can tell.
“You didn’t even give me a choice.”
The light in your eyes snuffs itself out. Your face falls as you take in what he’s just said.
You clear your throat, “It’s not much of a choice,” Voice soft and small, “Not really.”
Steve nods, rolling his shoulder and chewing on his lip.
“Look, I’m really sorry Steve, truly. And if there was a way I could go back and undo all of this, I would.”
A momentarily panic flares up in his chest. No, that's not what he— he didn’t mean it in that way. He frustratedly runs a hand through his hair, recalling how Nancy pointed out that communication had never been his strong suit.
“No, hold on. I didn’t mean—”
“It’s all fucked up now,” You admit, “Eddie knew how I felt about it and he went and did it, anyway. He claims it was done in my best interest, but he’s a smarmy motherfucker when he wants to be.” It all rushes out of you in the span of a breath, but now you’re on a roll and can’t stop, no matter the defeated expression on Steve’s face.
“He just like, dove straight in and started the Blood Rite without either of our consent, and now we’re stuck in this labyrinthian limbo from hell because you’ve had my blood and I’ve had yours. So how are we ever gonna know if any of this,” You wave frantically between your bodies as if it’s somehow proof, “Is a legitimate and purposeful choice or the result of fucking werewolf nonsense?!”
Well, Steve certainly wasn’t expecting any of that.
He looks at you, so directly it’s almost a challenge, the muscle in his jaw working steadily and you have to will your need to dominate deep down like the slumbering beast it is. But he’d look so pretty laid out and begging underneath you.
Ahem, another time maybe.
“You don’t wanna do this.”
“That’s not what I said.”
“No, but it’s what you meant.”
“Steve, no—”
“Heavily implied.” He spits, turning toward you and shifting up on his knees. “I’m not stupid, y’know.” Steve says, and seeing you caught off-guard like this has set something into motion that he just can’t get the precise nature of yet.
You swallow and drag your hand down your face, letting it settle across your lips as you study him. Keen eyes, a predator’s eyes following every movement as he spreads his legs wide, nearly straddling you but not quite.
“A part of you wants me.”
You're staring at the ceiling fan now, but your face has gone tight with frustration and something else.
“More than you should.”
One hand distractedly pushes the hair from your face, your mouth falling open to argue.
“Well?”
You swallow, pushing yourself up straighter. “I should go,” You say carefully, eyes rapt on Steve’s face. Responding more to the tone in his voice than anything else, and you chafe under the ease with which he wields it.
He doesn’t back down, which only stokes your ire. Steve’s close enough to touch, but remaining just out of reach, taunting that part of you that howls for him.
Well, two can play at that game.
Desire uncoils in your gut at a lazy pace, taking its time to pool beneath your navel. It shakes you alive, prompting you to disentangle yourself from the sheets wrapped about your ankles. Rising to your haunches as if readying yourself for a chase, Steve feels himself prickle hot all over just at the sight of it.
He licks his lips, and he’s so close that you can feel rather than see the slight shudder of his body. If you pushed just a bit harder, took in a little more atmosphere he’d fall like a house of cards.
And then, to the victor go the spoils.
Steve shakes his head and sighs, it’s such an infuriatingly him gesture that you’re nearly taken aback. But his gaze remains steady, just as his hands and heart do, the comforting da-dum, da-dum, da-dum of it drawing you closer and closer.
Normally, you’d find it endearing. So familiar that you can paint it with your eyes shut, but not tonight, not when you have the moon and him singing in your veins, emotions a bit fraught and not entirely your own.
Walking on your knees across the bed as if it’s a desert, and you’d spent hundreds of miles repenting, Steve stills.
Baring your teeth to smile wide and wild, “C’mere honey,” You croon, saccharine sweet. “I’ll play nice.”
He breathes your name, there’s no other word in his head.
Some things are fated, destined, and mapped in the stars, but nowhere is it said that these things need to be kind.
Hi, I don't actually know if your requests are open but I was just wondering if you could do a fic about poly!Mauraders x reader, but it's a full moon and when James and Sirius are out with moony, they run into another wolf (reader) and moony just instantly takes a liking to her. Imagine moony trying to follow her around, and reader keeps snapping her jaw at him. I could also imagine reader is maybe a Slytherin?
Sorry if this isn't good, I just popped into my head, and I went with it. Take your time, and don't rush yourself 💓
"sorry if this isn't good - don't rush" uhm, it was fantastic and I wrote it IMMEDIATELY thank youuuuu!!!! <3
poly!marauders x werewolf!reader who's unwittingly integrated into their pack [2.3k words]
CW: fem!reader, werewolf behaviour, some aggression/fighting, canine aggression and submission, Padfoot's had it up to fucking here with them all thank you very much
Padfoot wondered for a moment if maybe he was just some glorified herding dog at this point whilst he struggled to keep Moony on their usual routine when the werewolf seemed thoroughly hellbent on breaking it.
Moony - a blood hound tonight, apparently - insisted on following his nose, Padfoot’s incessant demands to stick to plan be damned.
And unfortunately for Padfoot, it didn’t seem like Prongs or Wormtail had any clue how to deal with Moony either.
Great.
So instead of their usual routine of transforming in the shack, letting Moony out, following their trail where they run (and roll, in Moony & Padfoot’s case) down a large hill before chasing each other along the river bank, grabbing a drink from the edge of the Black Lake and slowly making their way back to the shack…Moony no sooner got to the bottom of their hill before he picked up some scent and followed it down dark, wandering paths through the Forbidden Forest.
Padfoot had tried encouraging a mouth wrestle and romp - no dice. Prongs tried taking off in a sprint, hoping to elicit Moony’s instinct to chase - no dice. Wormtail bit Moony’s foot which only saw him nearly stomped on as the werewolf continued on his journey. Prongs tried bodily shoving Moony back in the direction of the shack to no avail.
Padfoot was just about ready to pick a bloody fight with the beast when he heard snuffling followed by a low growl.
Unfortunately for Padfoot, Moony didn’t miss it either, and before he knew which way was up, Moony took off in a sprint towards the sound.
Padfoot hoped to come back in his next life as a border collie - maybe he’d have better luck with the likes of sheep.
And that decision was only solidified when he turned the corner to find Moony staring down another werewolf who had her hackles raised and teeth bared at the bastard who seemed either ignorant to canine body language or was actively choosing to ignore it.
At least sheep will have the bloody wherewithal to avoid danger.
Padfoot made a quiet whimpering sound, hoping to encourage Moony to get the hells out of here, but it only served to have Moony’s ear flick in his general direction before returning to his new wolf friend.
Prongs huffed a breath and stomped his hoof into the earth, and Padfoot noticed then that Wormtail was nowhere to be found - the bloody coward.
Moony tried to crane his neck forward to sniff at the wolf's paws, only for the wolf to snarl and snap at him before smacking him with said paw like a sodding cat.
Moony at least had the grace to lower himself to the ground in submission for but a moment before he bounced back up to try doing much the same.
This time, the wolf charged at Moony, pinning him to the earth by his throat as she growled at him; the sound muffled by the fact that Moony’s sodding neck was in her mouth.
Prongs grunted and made to charge in Moony’s defence, causing the wolf to release Moony and look at him sceptically, and Moony to growl at Prongs warningly - he did not want their help.
Fine by Padfoot. He wasn’t much interested in helping a werewolf with a death wish anyway.
But when the wolf decided this was all perhaps a bit too much for her, turning away from the strange pack to continue on its path - of which the marauders should be on their own, thank you very much - Moony went to follow, and dammit, this was Padfoot’s pack.
And if it wasn’t his pack, it was his herd, and what kind of border collie would Padfoot be if he let his pack sheep out of his sight?
Not a very good one, is what.
So, with a huff of resignation, Padfoot trailed behind the wolves - one that kept turning to nip, snap, and snarl at pesky Moony, and pesky Moony who kept trying to get a sniff or even, more disturbingly, incite play with a gentle nip - Prongs (and Wormtail, by means of Prongs’ antlers) trailed behind him.
The wolf seemed resigned to her fate in having company for the rest of the evening, though that didn’t mean she was pleased about it. Every time Padfoot thought the wolf’s hackles were going down, Moony playbowed in front of her like an overgrown lanky puppy, and they rose right back up.
The new wolf, for her part, spent the evening snuffling through the dried leaves and moss on the floor, stretching against tree trunks and using the bark to sharpen her claws (still not unlike a cat), and chewing on a stick.
Padfoot thought that actually all seemed like a really nice way to spend the evening.
Or, you know, it would have been, had he not been in charge of this ridiculous rag-tag group of misfits he unwittingly found himself responsible for.
But eventually, the evening had to come to an end, and that end was signalled by the twitching of Moony’s muscles underneath his fur as the moon started pulling at his bones, and it appeared to be doing the same for you.
But the night couldn’t end, it seemed, if you weren’t coming with Moony. And for as annoyed as Padfoot had been all evening, he was growing increasingly anxious.
You abandoned your stick and stood, beginning to limp away from them when Moony grunted and hurried after you, causing Padfoot and Prongs to bark and bleat respectively.
Any levity that the wolf had found for the marauders quickly vanished in the face of her oncoming transformation and the pain radiating through her when she turned on Moony and lunged at him. Padfoot whimpered and felt his heart try to escape through his throat as earth flew up in the air due to paws digging into the ground for traction and scrambling for purchase.
The wolf's growls were different now, though; they weren’t bored, they weren’t dismissive, and they weren’t even all that threatening. The wolf was scared - panicked, even. Padfoot could see it in the speed of her breathing and the whites of her eyes that she was quickly descending into terror.
They were close, so close, to the shack; Padfoot was certain he could get Moony back before the transformation if he would just get a sodding move on.
But it appeared Moony was wholly unwilling to leave without this wolf, and he wasn’t taking no for an answer.
The wolf seemed to come to the same conclusion as Padfoot, stepping away from Moony before submitting for the first time all evening, and wincing as Padfoot heard one of her joints shift.
Moony let out a sigh, moving over to the wolf who seemed so small now that she was cowering at the base of the tree with Moony standing above her, nudging her face and neck with his nose before licking over her face.
The wolf whimpered, and Padfoot watched as Moony’s right hind foot came out from underneath him for a moment - as if he tripped - telling him that the transformation was starting.
Padfoot whined, and he swore Moony actually nodded his head in understanding before he gently grabbed the wolf by the scruff of the neck and encouraged her to stand.
Resigned to her fate, the wolf followed the pack towards the shack, barely making it into the room before the transformation took over.
The first thing you noticed when you came to wasn’t the pain, though that was there. It was always there.
No, the first thing you noticed when you came to was the feeling of linen on top of you and something soft below you.
That wasn’t right; that couldn’t be right, could it? You were supposed to be in the cave.
But when you shifted your arm and felt the linen - a blanket? - fall from your shoulder, you knew it was true. You were not in the cave. You were not in the cave, and someone had found you.
“I think she’s awake.”
Someones had found you.
You were not in the cave, people had found you, and you were not alone.
You sat up suddenly, holding the blanket to your chest as you shuffled away from the sounds before your back met something solid. Your head felt heavy and off-kilter, like you were standing on a boat swaying on rolling waves.
You had a wicked migraine coming on.
“Whoa, whoa. Easy there doll.” Another voice sounded.
“What-” You tried, cutting yourself off to clear your throat when your voice came out gravely and painful, threatening to bring up whatever you still had in your stomach from dinner two nights ago; the last time you could manage food. “Why are you- why am I here? Where am I? What-”
“Open your eyes, L/N.” The second voice offered, though you could tell the inflection was softer than it naturally was; you wondered if that took him a lot of effort. “You’re okay.”
Your breaths began to quicken because you didn’t feel okay, this didn’t feel okay. Someone knew, they knew; they had found you, you were found out.
The sun was still low, so the light in the….room? shack? hut? was dim, though it still made your eyes water with the impending migraine lined up in your temples as if just waiting for a good excuse to wreak havoc on your brain.
You were accosted with the sight of Sirius Black crouching in front of you, elbows on his knees as his eyebrows hooked in the middle; James Potter standing behind him with his arms crossed over his chest as he looked at you much the same.
“You’re okay.” James repeated, nodding his head encouragingly as your vision began to swim.
“Try to relax, doll; you’re not going to feel very well if you work yourself up.”
You let out a hysterical breath that bordered between a laugh and a sob as a few tears spilled out. “Relax? I- what… How could you- why are you here?”
James grimaced. “Sorry, that would be Moony’s fault.”
“Moony? I-” But your question was cut off when you heard the shuffling off bedding from across the room, and both James and Sirius turned towards the sound, exposing Remus Lupin sitting up on an old mattress, rubbing at his eyes as a blanket fell and pooled at his hips, exposing his bare torso that was….covered in claw marks.
“Oh gods.” You let out with a sob. “What did I- Did I do that?”
“What?” Remus let out groggily as both Sirius and James quickly denied it.
“No, no. Listen, angel, please relax-”
“Stop telling me to relax.” You nearly shrilled. “And stop calling me nice names!”
Too tired, too freaked out, and too confused to have chosen your wording carefully, you appeared to have said something wrong when Sirius’ mouth turned up in a salacious smirk.
“You like our nice names?”
“No!”
“I think you do.” James continued.
“Leave the poor girl alone.” Remus grumbled before he fell back onto his bed, rubbing harshly at his eyes.
“Where are we?” You asked simply, swallowing around your gag reflex.
“The shrieking shack.” James answered just as simply.
“Okay.” You acknowledged. “Why?”
“Well, Moony wouldn’t leave without you, so we sort of had to bring you with us.” Sirius answered.
“Moony…?”
“That’s me.” You heard Remus mutter, voice muffled from behind his hands.
“And…I didn’t hurt anyone last night?” You asked slowly.
James’ face softened as he started to shake his head no, but Sirius scoffed.
“Define hurt, gorgeous. I was pissed, for one. Two, you had that wanker by the throat for most of the night.” He said, gesturing behind him to Remus with a careless thumb.
“Why?”
“He wouldn’t bloody leave you alone! I was exhausted just watching.” Sirius continued.
“Would you stop bloody shouting?” Remus grumbled, and you couldn’t help but agree as you rubbed at your head.
“Anyway,” James continued at a more appropriate volume, “he wouldn’t leave without you, so we brought you back here for the transformation. Where…where were you going to go for the transformation?”
You flushed as you wrapped the blanket tighter around your person. “There's…a cave I usually go to.” You admitted in a whisper.
“Well, I bet this is an upgrade then, no?” Sirius offered somewhat haughtily, but his face fell quickly when you began speaking again.
“You can’t tell anyone…please.”
“Tell anyone?” James repeated.
“I…no one knows, no one can know.”
“Whoa, babe, hang on. Who’re we gonna tell?” Sirius asked then, a disbelieving look painting his features.
“I-” you started, swallowing again “I don’t know but, I just, you can’t-”
“We weren’t gonna tell anyone.” James assured you. “We aren’t going to tell anyone; there’s nothing to tell.”
You must have looked sceptical, because Sirius quickly intervened.
“Alright look, we promise not to tell anyone about your lycanthropy, as long as you promise not to tell anyone about Remus’, or about James and I being illegal, unregistered animagi.”
Your mouth actually fell open as you looked between the three of them; James as he turned to grab some vials of pain potions and healing balms, Sirius who was smirking at you salaciously, and Remus who was carding his hand through his hair and smiling (try grimacing) at you apologetically.
“Welcome to the pack, L/N.” Remus said wryly before he downed the potion James handed to him in one, effortless swig and laid back down.
“We’re called the marauders.” James explained as he handed you a matching potion. “We’ll have to find you a nickname. Don’t worry though, we have a whole month to come up with one.”
What the fuck?
hello!!! i was wondering if you could write a xavier thorpe x reader where she’s having an awful day and it’s evident in the look on her face and the way her body moves while she’s walking towards xavier and they end up cuddling and it’s just comforting and cute??
i hope this makes sense!! i love ur writing!
true blood
summary | after receiving news that your parents aren't coming family weekend, your thrown into an awful mood for the rest of the day
pairing | xavier thorpe x fem!reader
warning | angst, fluff ending, absent parents, ajax's parents but the best
word count | 1.0k
Just staring at your phone, you re-read the text message over and over again.
“Your father and I need to help a pack in the mountains and can’t make it tomorrow, maybe next year.”
For years, you seeked some sort of validation from your parents, just something that would give you their attention just for a second. The pack was put they cared about, and though you shifted, you were an omega in a family of alphas.
Not wanting to bear the burden and have the news spread, they sent to Nevermore as fast as they could, and you were happy you could be away from them, but seeing how all the students became excited that their families are coming, it made it worse for you.
You barely slept that night, tossing and turning, truly wondering if they were up in the mountains or if they couldn’t bear the shame of their daughter and pretended she didn’t exist. As the sun rose, you stayed in bed as long as you could before needing to get up and eat and get ready for the day.
Walking out onto the balcony that gazed into the quad, there were families already there. You leaned against the railing, seeing students hugging their families, pulling them into a school to show them around.
“Surprised you aren’t down there already, need another minute before going down to the wolves.” Xavier came next to you, copying your position, turning his head towards you. Because of the late text, you hadn’t told Xavier they weren’t coming yet.
“A pack was in need of help last night.” You started, Xavier didn’t need for you to finish, knowing where it was going to end. “And you know them.”
Xavier didn’t say anything, scooting closer towards you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder, pulling you into him. Kissing your forehead softly, he rested his head on yours.
“You know Ajax’s parents are more than happy to have us.” He smiled, “They love you like a daughter.”
Since starting at Nevermore, neither Xavier’s father nor your parents had ever come to visit and Ajax’s parents made it known that the two of you were always welcome with them.
“We can spend the day together and have dinner with them later, how does that sound?” He tried to lighten the mood. Xavier accepted that his dad wasn’t a part of his life but he remembered how it was during the beginning, and it was exactly how you were now.
You were happy that Xavier was able to distract you during the day, making it almost seem like everything was perfectly okay. Spending most of the day in his art shed, Xavier lets you take your stress out.
Before meeting Xavier, you never were an artist and you still aren’t to this day but Xavier constantly brought you here to teach you.
Xavier worked on his own painting, listening as you spoke about your parents.
“Like, I get that I’m not your favorite child, but god, how hard it is to take two days off to come visit!” You exclaimed. “Is it because I’m not an alpha, it’s not like I chose to be this way, I would change if I could.”
“Don’t say that.” Xavier finally expressed his feelings, frowning, “You don’t need to change to conform to what they want.”
Standing from his stool, he made his way over towards, standing behind you, his hands wrapped around your shoulders, squeezing them softly.
“I just want them to be proud of me, just for once.” You whispered softly, setting down your paints.
Xavier wrapped his around your torso, pulling you into him, your head resting against his chest, you felt tears forming in your eyes, letting out a quiet sob.
His arms still around you, Xavier held you quietly, letting you cry while rubbing his hand up and down your back. Your face was still flush to his shirt, one that was probably covered in tears by now.
As your sobs softened, Xavier pulled you from him, wiping away the rest of your tears with his thumb.
“You okay?” He asked softly.
“Yeah, but dying to get that out.” You sent him a small smile. “Thank you.”
-
Sitting in the quad with Ajax’s family made your day a little less depressing. The five of you sat around the table, all conversing about the school year.
“So Y/n,” Ajax’s mom started, “Ajax told me that you and Xavier are now together.”
You choked on your piece of steak, coughing. Xavier’s eyes were wide, turning to look at his friend.
“Mom!” Ajax gasped.
“No, it’s alright, I wasn't expecting that, but yes we are.” You confirmed. Watching as his mom turned gleeful, spewing all sorts of congratulations to the two of you, you just wished your parents could have an ounce of her happiness.
“Oh that’s just wonderful.” She cooed, “You two must come to visit over the break.”
“Mrs. Petropolus, that’s too much.” You shook your head.
“We insist.” Mr. Petropolus added. “We loved to have you.”
You knew that if you spoke, your voice would hardly be there and you didn’t want to cry in front of them. “Thank you, really, thank you.”
“Of course sweetheart, you’re family to us.”
-
As night started to turn in, you and Xavier used his single room to your advantage, laying in his bed together.
Sitting against his headboard, Xavier sat up slightly with your head resting just below his chin, your legs tangled in his.
One arm was wrapped around your waist, while the other sat on top of his chest with yours. Playing with his fingers, you sighed softly, looking up at your boyfriend.
“I’m lucky to have you.”
“I know.” He smirked, “I get told that everyday.”
You rolled your eyes, smacking his chest playfully. “I’m being serious, Xavi.”
“I think that I was one who is.” He confessed, “I get to be with you everyday.”
“You’re a sap, you know.” You smiled.
“I know.” He reciprocated your smile, “I got the best thing right in front of me.”
fin.
Hii, since you asked for some Sam requests, I throught about this.
What about something where reader (female if possible) is a werewolf and it's like full moon, and she's super insecure because she doesn't want to hurt him but he stays with her during the transformation? And it's just super fluffy before and after? Also, It would be great if It was season 1 Sam :3
Thank you in advance, don't worry if you can't or don't want to do this request^^
Have a good day/night <3
Sam Winchester x werewolf!plus size reader
You have a deadly secret that you’ve been keeping for almost 12 years but when Sam Winchester blows back into your life, he proves to you that it’s ok to need someone else to help with the burden
Warnings: angst, self-loathing, fear, brief references to a werewolf’s diet, self-harm in the form of using silver against herself, fluff, almost confession, I made her a little more of a traditional werewolf cause I can, brief mention of dead parents, Dean really wants to be Sammy’s wingman
Your eyes darted to the clock above the kitchen sink as you sliced off yet another piece of pie for the ravenous hunter in your living room. There was just about an hour left till sunset- only an hour until the full moon would breach the horizon and you would be swallowed up by the monster that lived in your chest.
Even now, you could feel her flexing her claws and pushing against the walls of your mind. She wanted out and she would do anything to be free.
You squeezed your eyes shut, forcing back the sting of tears as you took a deep breath and left the solitude of your small kitchen.
Sam and Dean, the sons of the man that saved you from a werewolf pack 12 years ago. John made it a habit to check in on you every once in a while but after he went missing, Dean decided that he should take on that responsibility. So as you were preparing to weather out another full moon chained up in the basement beneath your isolated farmhouse, the younger two Winchesters appeared on your doorstep, inviting themselves in.
You knew you had to get them out, no one knew your secret and if they found out, you were sure that a silver bullet to the heart was in your future.
“It’s gettin kinda late don’t you think?” You desperately tried to keep your voice level but the flash of hazel told you that you weren’t doing a very good job. You handed Dean his third slice of pie while vehemently ignoring Sam’s gaze.
He had always known how to read your body language, even when you were both 10. “I thought you liked having us here sweetheart.” Dean attempted to croon but instead spat pie chucks across your coffee table. You shot him a look and he sheepishly wiped it up with his shirt sleeve
“I’ve got jobs I have to do early tomorrow and if you haven’t noticed, I don’t exactly have the space to house two hunters.” Dean paused mid-bite and cleared his throat before a devious smirk grew over his lips.
“Well I guess not but you certainly have room for one.” Before you could comprehend what the older boy was implying, he had wolfed down the rest of his pie and sprung up from the couch with a speed you thought he could never possess, and ran out the front door while yelling behind him. “Have a good night!”
The roar of the Impala’s engine carried over the quiet fields surrounding your house before Sam was even halfway down the hall. Your hands trembled as he walked back into the room, an embarrassed smile on his face. “I’m sorry about him. I can call a taxi or just walk back to town if you really want me gone.”
You shook your head. “It’s fine Sam. Let me clean up and I’ll set up the bed for you.” Your throat was tight with anxiety as you felt the beast inside you grin. He’ll make a good snack, you could hear her say.
“I couldn’t take your bed.” He started but you waved him off with what you hoped was a comforting smile and not a grimace.
“You’re too tall to fit on the couch and I won’t accidentally wake you up in the morning if you’re in my room.” Sam’s footsteps followed you into the kitchen. “Go on, I’ll only be a couple minutes. There should be some extra soap in the hall closet if you want a shower.”
You chanced a look back at your friend and caught the briefest glimpse of a soft look on his face. “Thank you.” He silently turned and left, presumably to make use of your small shower, and you breathed a sigh of relief.
If he was in your bedroom, he wouldn’t hear your screams as you turned.
——————
Pain blazed through your veins like a drug, slowly ripping you apart only to stitch you back together and do it all over again. She hated that you had tied yourself up like a dog- a silver infused iron chain wrapped around your neck and bolted to the reinforced concrete floor, the muzzle that kept her from howling bound tightly to your face and the handcuffs around your wrist that prevented you from moving lest the pure silver burn through your skin.
You eased yourself back against the far wall of the basement and turned your head to look out the lone window in the room. It was small and protected by iron bars but it allowed the warm summer breeze to wash over you, granting you a brief reprieve from the agony you were in.
As the weak moonlight finally brushed over you, your senses sharpened. You could smell the leftovers in your fridge and the scent of soap, you could see the small bugs that flew past the window and the small particles of dust that floated through the dark air. You could hear footsteps-
The basement door creaked open and you whimpered, the sound too grating on your sensitive ears. “Leave!” You snarled, your voice deeper and more dangerous as the wolf slowly consumed your mind. The footsteps continued.
Sam appeared at the bottom of the stairs, dressed only in his jeans and a t-shirt. He smelt like you with a mixture of his natural musk that you could only detect when he hugged you. His eyes were downturned and shining with tears.
“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” The laugh bubbled up from your chest before you could stop it. It was broken and sounded more like a hyena’s cackle than any sound a human could make.
“I only know hunters, what would happen if I told them I need to eat hearts to live?” Sam flinched but didn’t look scared, he almost looked… sheepish.
“Guess you’re right.” He stepped closer to you, his tall body now illuminated by the pale moonlight. “What I meant to say was, why didn’t you tell me?”
Silence washed over the both of you and your eyes dropped down. The shadows around you were steadily getting shorter, closing you into the far corner of the basement in a vain attempt to keep your wolf at bay.
“You left, like you were meant to. I’m meant to be alone.” You were struggling to speak as your mind slipped into a more primitive state. “Alone- can’t hurt anyone.”
Your ribs cracked and Sam stepped forward. Another wave of his scent washed over you making your chest rumble with a pleased sound. “I would’ve stayed, for you.”
Warmth bloomed across your face even as your back collided with the cool brick wall. “I would’ve taken care of you.” He slowly dropped to his knees only an arm’s length away from you, the moonlight following behind him.
Suddenly you were both ten years old again and grappling with the concept that the monsters in your nightmares were real. But yet again, there was the hazel-eyed son of a hunter telling you that everything was going to be ok and that even if no one else was, he would be there for you, no matter what.
A large, warm hand cupped your full cheek, his thumb brushing over your soft skin. “Sh-sh-should be scared.” You growled but nuzzled into his touch anyway, desperate for the first piece of physical affection you had felt since your parents died. He smiled and took the chance to place his other hand beneath where the collar rested across your neck.
“I could never be scared of you.” Your eyes sparkled with tears which he quickly wiped away as soon as they fell. “And you don’t need to be scared of hurting me or anyone else for that matter. I’ll protect you.”
The moon bathed both of you in a serene light for only a moment before your vision began to blur and your body trembled under the strain of your transformation. “I won’t leave you behind, never again.” But it sounded more like ‘I love you’.
And as you finally surrendered to the monster within you, Sam’s face was the last thing you saw and for the first time since you had been condemned to this life, you knew peace.
ALCIDE HERVEAUX (true blood)
“GOD-FUCKING-DAMNIT, ALCIDE!”
Your lungs ache with the force of your shout, throat already sore from just five minutes of arguing.
In all honesty you’ve just about had it. Had it with all of the yelling and name-calling that happened so often when you and this bullheaded-ass man were alone together that always ended with both of you bruised and frustrated.
Today was no different.
The pack barn was empty — everyone had cleared out once they heard you and Alcide start going at it. And to top it all of you can’t even remember what you’d actually been planning to do with him today, you just know that Alcide Herveaux is a pain in your ass and you do not plan on letting up your argument anytime soon.
You’ve been training him in place of Rikki for the fight against y’all’s current piece of shit packmaster, JD. Rikki and you had aligned with Alcide when he challenged JD because you could both see that he was leading the pack down a shitty path.
Rikki had been ready to challenge JD herself, with you as her second, before Alcide came along and y’all decided that since he’d already killed one of his past packmasters and managed to become packmaster of what was left of his own pack that hadn’t defected to the vamps under Cooter, he’d do.
Alcide was doing a good enough job with his pack in Jackson, after his old packmaster up and left when the vampires had indoctrinated the majority of his wolves, so you were willing to back him up in taking control and merging packs.
If only he’d focus less on fucking with you and more on training.
Rikki wasn’t training him because she was dealing with a runaway, a teenaged pup chasing V. So now the duty was on you to be Alcide’s second and prepare him for fighting against a coked up werewolf.
“What’s the matter, Boss, worried for me? I took on Marcus, I can take JD,” Alcide says, smirking.
One brow raised, you roll your eyes.
“Uh huh, I’m sure a werewolf two times as fast and bloodthirsty will be the exact same. Training at this point is just a formality,” your words drip heavily with sarcasm before you shift to come at him with a barrage of kicks.
Alcide takes the first hit like a pro and blocks the rest without much trouble. That is until you get close enough to knee him in the nards, wait until he’s keeling over to grab hold of his junk, then aim for the side of his neck on your next strike instead of his torso.
He doesn’t block your attack in time by a landslide and falls the rest of the way to the ground like a crumpled marionette a second later. You’d have more sympathy for a puppet.
Blinking down at him you watch him struggle on his knees. Kneeling with his hand on his throat, breath wheezing out as his body struggles to heal his esophagus. Supernatural or not, a hit to the throat was a hit to the throat.
Once Alcide gets his bearings he looks up at you with glowing yellow eyes and glares.
“For something so small you sure can hit hard,” he grunts out. He starts stripping out of his shirt.
Scoffing, you shrug; determined to take any injuries he got as seriously as he was your training.
This wasn’t a game and you needed him to start acting like it.
Quickly.
“Mhm.” You drum your fingers against the dark skin of your arm, lips pursed. “Next time throw your forearms up to block a kick to the head or neck, and don’t let yourself get so damn comfortable. You left your dick right open, I was practically invited. And if you're about to get hit in the head pretty much just fall back as much as possible. A hit to the temple or undercut will knock you out.”
And that’s all you give him in lieu of a more clever retort.
Alcide huffs out a breath as he stands, movements slow, “I’ll keep that in mind if JD’s crazy ass pulls out unknown judo skills. Come on, Y/n, he’s not coming at me with anything but wild punches, fang, and claw. So yeah, this is formality.”
You grit your teeth.
“Trained or not, JD is unstable with all that V in him. So formality or not, we’re training so you’re ready regardless of what he throws at you. But since you seem so set on it, we can train with fang and claw.”
You glare as Alcide chuckles, looking you up and down. You’re just about ready to screw it all at this point with his bullshit appeasement routine and walk out when he drops his pants and lunges.
“I’ll take you up on that,” he growls, his shift taking over in the midst of his final word.
Eyes widening, you just barely jump out of the way of the downward swipe of his claws. You don't have time to marvel at the juxtaposition of Alcide, Mississippi lumber man, being an arctic wolf before you’re bursting outside of the barn and into the woods.
A wolf-like snigger and the pounding of paws hitting the earth is what you hyper focus on as you run, throwing bits and pieces of clothing off as you go. You don’t bother trying to take off your socks as you toss your T-shirt overhead and rip the shorts from your body.
Fuck it, you’re not losing to Alcide of all wolves.
Alcide nips at your heels once playfully and you growl low in your throat, eyes flashing to life. The glow casts the land in front of you a faint yellow as you whizz by, speeding up and putting a couple feet of distance between you and the other wolf. Your own wolf pulls at your control as Alcide growls behind you in a goad; clearly you’re taking too long to engage for his liking.
Smirking, you speed up even more before jumping and grabbing a hold of a low hanging branch. You swing yourself up and perch atop, watching in amusement as Alcide blows past you and then skids. He kicks up dirt as he turns around with a high pitched yip. It has you laughing while you shed your underwear and socks, letting them fall to the ground below.
Your panties land directly on top of the other wolf’s head and you watch him struggle to paw them off long enough for him to start getting irritated and growl to himself before you push yourself off the branch and book it towards the swamp.
Hardly skipping a step, your shift takes place, and with the switch everything is so easy.
Your paws pound on the earth and your lungs fill with the essence of the swamp as you howl and charge straight for the water.
You’re maybe part of the way there, going so fast you’re well on your way to flying, when you’re veering left completely absent of your own accord.
Yelp caught in your throat you go crashing into the brush, the full brunt of Alcide’s arctic wolf ramming into your side and bowling you off your path.
With brief flashes of shimmering light you both transition back to “human”, your brown skin getting peppered with sticks and sand and flora without your wolf’s thicker skin and lush fur as a barrier.
Instead it’s the tight curls at the top of your head that snag against leaves and twigs as you tumble with Alcide’s skin sliding against yours, but you don’t even mind, a new weight falling from your shoulders bit by bit with every roll.
When you both come to a stop you’re splayed on top of him, hands locked around his tanned arms and both of your legs tangled.
He chuckles and it’s a boyish lilting thing, still gulping for air as he looks you up and down, a wave of desire rising in his warm brown irises.
It isn’t until then that you notice just how close you are to each other. You drop your head closer to him and gaze your own bright eyes into his. His bare chest, surprisingly not hairy, heaves up and down as he grins at you. You match his energy, breaths just as labored as Alcide’s.
His gaze is all wild and sharp. Filled with a wolf’s playfulness.
“You’re a pain in my ass Herveaux,” you pant, pupils blown wide with lust as you glance down at his mouth.
You have been working hard, you muse. A reward would be nice.
He licks his lips.
“You love it.”
“Occasionally,” you counter, a growl rumbling in your chest, and then you’re both crashing into each other again (just a little to the left this time).
The kiss is all vigor. Teeth clacking together and tongues battling for dominance, another race all on its own. Alcide eventually makes you lose ground and gets you on your back. You both break apart to gasp for breath.
“You gonna let me fuck you?”
His hand goes to squeeze around the side of your neck and you find yourself baring it for him, a tiny whimper pushing past your lips.
“Take a break?” You blink up at him, eyes soft, but hold a finger up so he doesn’t move on you just yet. “—So long as you get it together when we’re done.”
─────
Your airy voice and soft noises make his wolf tremble with the urge to claim. To mate. Alcide pauses to take a deep breath, ease the way his beast rattles, but it doesn’t do a damn thing but make his cock twitch and fatten. The other werewolf smells like straight arousal.
Brimstone and something earthy, inherently woody and unquestionably you, fills his nose and whatever inclination he had to pace himself firmly slips to the back of his mind.
“Yeah, Babydoll, let’s take a break. I’ll be as good as I can be afterwards.”
NOTES: Hope you enjoyed!!
Mind any typos, I will get to them later. And, yeah, I did give a little nod to Monster Squad (1987) with that ‘nards’ bit.
There’s also a high possibility I might rewrite/repost this later with more story due to the time constraints of trying to get this out today not allowing for as much expansion as I would’ve wanted, but yeah.
btw: if you’d like to leave a comment I’d very much appreciate it!
So I saw the Vox Machina s/o wolf walker and I cant help but wonder:
Werewolf s/o who acts like a big puppy around their chosen member of VM? Like they will wine like a dog, puppy eyes and all and as soon as they get pats or attention that person is now being suffocated by snuggles and or licks to the face or the person next to the werewolf gets beaten up by a fluffy tail.
Awwww omygosh this is so cute!!
Werewolf “big puppy” would include….
Perfect for cuddles!!
Keyleth (and Minxie) have a new cuddle buddies!
Grog sometimes likes to play-wrestle with you
Vex and Vax are now smooshed into a Trinket-you sandwich
Scanlan gets you to howl along with his harmonizations, which keeps everyone up at night
Or sometimes even Pike joins in, giving you belly rubs in a whole “who’s the best?? You are!!”
After Vax got his wings, now it’s raven boi trying to play tag with you
Always nudging into Percy relentlessly until he finally gives in with an exasperated, “ugh fine! If I let you, will you stop pestering me?”
“🥺🐶”
The cuddles and pets go on for hours but he’ll never admit it
Bonus:
You stay in this form for so long that when you morphed back into human form one afternoon, everyone was confused. Like a “who are you?!” moment before you explain. “It’s me!”
I can't wait for the next part of the trio saving werewolf!reader it was so good!
Ask: I can't wait for the next part of the trio saving werewolf!reader it was so good!
Ask: Hi! Just read part one of what is hopefully a mini-series of the trio x werewolf reader, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. If you like some suggestions on how to continue: maybe part two could be about the Reader learning how to be free, or perhaps the Trio helping reader recover enough to be able to shift back to being a human? Either way, can’t wait to see what else you have planned. Thank you so much!
[Combining the two asks here.]
A/N: My toxic trait? Answering asks for Part 2s of something I wrote over a year ago and then promptly abandoned lol. (To Read Part 1 to refresh your memory, like I had to do, click here [x].)
✥ ✥ ✥
“Do you think they’ll ever be able to turn back?” Sypha asked from where she stood, in one of the many rows of bookshelves lining the Belmont hold.
Several levels below her, Trevor grunted as he hauled large pieces of shattered support beams to the base of the main staircase. “It’s impressive how sentient they are now, being a were-creature and all.”
“Yes, but they don’t want to stay a creature for the rest of their lives.”
“Well, life isn’t always fucking fair,” Trevor cursed, half-out of breath, as he began lugging the large beam up the stairs.
“I’m fairly certain she knows that,” Alucard intervened, entering the main chamber, having just arrived fresh off the newly built lift he installed. “Speakers see far more suffering than most people, seeing as they believe it is their duty to help the less fortunate.”
“How’s the lift?” Sypha asked, coming over to the railing. “Does it work? Were the calculations correct?”
Alucard nodded. “I needed to modify a few measurements, considering the potential excess weight load-”
“We’re not that heavy,” Trevor interrupted. “Or do you plan to start bringing villagers in by the dozen and give tours?”
Alucard narrowed his eyes at Trevor. “I was considering the repairs that need to be done for all the damage the night creatures inflicted. Unless of course, you’d prefer to drag that thing up yet another hundred feet.”
Trevor huffed, refusing to show his fatigue. “What? This old thing?” He locked his knees to keep them from buckling. “Can barely feel it.”
Sypha rolled her eyes. “Could the two of you stop competing for one second?! We’re supposed to be looking for ways to help our friend!”
Admitting defeat, Trevor dropped the large piece of timber at the next landing. “Sypha, we’ve been at it for months. Every book says the same thing: only the shapeshifter can cause a shift at will. Outside of whoever cursed them with the affliction undoing it themselves. Or killing the shapeshifter and using death magic to alter their form post-mortem, there’s nothing any of us can do.”
Accepting her friend had a point, Sypha took one of the adjoining bridges, healing toward Trevor as he stopped to catch his breath.
“I could freeze that beam and toss it out you know,” she gestured to where Alucard currently stood.
“The last time you did that, we ended up with a giant hole in the ground.”
“That wasn’t me, that was the night creatures.”
“But you did break the castle,” Alucard countered. “All of the gears were melted.”
“I did not! I do not break things. I am a Speaker, I fix things!”
Alucard chuckled, sharing a knowing look with Trevor. For as knowledgeable as she was, she certainly had a hard time admitting when she was wrong.
“In either case, it will take years to repair, even with my vampiric speed and strength. Dracula engineered those cogs and wheels over several centuries, often hiring the best blacksmiths around.”
The trio boarded the lift together, Trevor having decided to leave the broken beam behind for another day.
“They worked here? With him?” Sypha asked.
“The castle’s forge is quite extensive. And no matter their level of skill, I doubt any local blacksmith’s forge would be large enough to mold such immense gears. They could only manage such creation within the walls of the castle.”
Trevor scoffed. “Did they know who they were working for?”
“I’m certain they had suspicions, but I doubt my Fath-, Dracula ever told them the truth.”
“That’s-” Trevor started.
“Sad,” Sypha finished for him. “To be alone all that time. To not be able to tell anyone who you are.”
The ingenious pulley system lift finally came to a stop as it became level with the forest ground outside the Belmont hold.
“Is that why you wish to help them so badly?” Alucard asked, referring to their new werewolf companion. “You feel they’re lonely?”
“Well they were lonely, back in that cage, in that life,” Sypha reminded her friends, as Alucard locked the lift in place.
“They seem better now,” Trevor remarked, being the first to disembark. “After all, you keep bugging them every day, they’re hardly lonely.”
Sypha elbowed him, lovingly. “I do not bug them. They enjoy my company.”
“You keep forgetting Speakers are used to traveling in large groups,” Alucard reminded Belmont, once again, as the trio made their way back toward the entrance of the castle. “It’s shocking how much you've forgotten, the two of you being companions and all.”
“The three of us being companions,” Sypha placed a reassuring hand on Alucard’s shoulder.
The dhampir gave a soft smile at the Speaker’s action before averting his eyes. Stepping out of her embrace, he started to ascend the many stone steps at the front of the castle.
“It’s about time for dinner. Let me see what I can cook up.”
✥
It had been a few months since the trio and their newfound companion arrived back home at Castlevania. Most of that time was spent with Sypha and Trevor bickering over how best to treat their new friend, while Alucard dedicated his time in between assessing the broken mechanisms of the castle to reading all of the tomes his father had collected on shapeshifting. Unfortunately, all roads pointed in the same direction: it was up to their friend to shift themselves back.
At the present moment their werewolf friend, or Wynn, as they liked to be called, was resting in one of the many castle bedrooms. Their furry body was sprawled out over the entire length of the mattress, as they lazily tracked falling specks of dust around with their big puppy-dog eyes.
Despite spending so much time resting, they felt exhausted this evening. It was as if the last few months of recovery meant nothing!
‘I don’t know why I’m so tired,’ they thought, shifting to curl up in a tighter ball.
Finally shutting their eyes, they made one final wish before drifting off to sleep, the same wish they had been making every night for god knows how long.
‘Please let me be human when I wake up, please.’
✥
The sun had barely peaked over the horizon. Trevor and Alucard had woken up early to finally start clearing the major debris from the Belmont hold using the newly designed lift. So far Alucard had cleared twelve large beams while Trevor had managed to remove seven. Not that it was a competition or anything. It was at this point that Sypha had come to join them.
“Well if it isn’t Sleeping Beauty, finally come to grace us humble footmen with her presence,” Trevor ribbed.
“Nice pile,” Sypha gestured to Trevor’s lesser stack laid out next to Alucard’s.
Trevor snorted. “Nice comeback.”
Sypha crossed her arms. “I had a very long night last night. Which was entirely your fault by the way.”
“My fault?” Trevor guffawed. “No no, I believe that last round was your fault.”
Alucard, who had been watching amusedly from the sides, chose this moment to step in. “No, she’s right, I recall you were the one enticing us into that last round.”
“Well, it’s not my fault if- hey,” Trevor suddenly straightened his back, and pointed to something in the distance. “Who’s that?”
Both Alucard and Sypha turned around to see who Trevor was referring to. Almost immediately, Sypha clasped her hands together happily and began running over to meet this ‘stranger’.
“Looks like Sypha wasn’t the last one to wake up,” Alucard nudged Trevor to come along.
“No, but seriously, who the hell is that?” Trevor asked Alucard, keeping his wits about him.
“You’re joking.”
“I’ve never seen that person before in my life.”
“That’s because you’ve never seen them before as a human.”
Sypha, having finally reached Wynn where they stood, proudly and excitedly in their human form, pulled them in for a big hug. Clasping each other in a tight embrace, the two companion’s eyes began to water.
“It’s so good to finally see you, my friend!” Sypha laughed, hugging Wynn closer.
“It’s so good to be seen!” Wynn answered back, clearly overjoyed.
After a good long moment, Sypha finally let go, turning around to face the boys. “Look who it is!”
Wynn gave a polite wave, suddenly overcome by shyness under the focus of all three of their friends. “Um, hi? It’s nice to finally meet you.”
Alucard stuck his hand out for a handshake, which Wynn eagerly accepted. “Likewise.”
Sensing Trevor’s hesitation, Wynn outstretched their hand to Trevor.
Shaking his head, Trevor grasped Wynn’s hand and pulled them in for a hug, nearly knocking them off their feet.
Speechless and touched by Trevor’s gesture, Sypha shot a knowing look at Alucard.
Despite being their gruff, sarcastic, and sometimes slower friend, Trevor really was like a teddy bear deep, deep underneath that jaded exterior. Sure, very few would ever come to know it unless they were close to him, but that made the trio’s relationship all the more special. And it was a very telling sign that Trevor was able to let his guard down for the sake of their new friend.
It was as if at that very moment, the trio had become a quartet. And Wynn couldn’t be happier to finally be a part of it.
