uhm... hi! I'm kind of new to the game and would like to... ask you something??? I had the idea of Thena and Ikaris fighting the hell out of each other. So, maybe around the Babylon era Gilgamesh prepared a dinner for the family of Eternals and while eating Ikaris kind of... disrespecting Gilgamesh's food or something? And Thena growls at him and their arguing gets worse and worse. So at the end they drag each other in the hallway, beating each other with full strengh until Gilgamesh is trapping Thena in a bear hug and some of the others try to hold back Ikaris.

If it's okay, I'd like to ask you to write this idea.

"Great dinner, Gil!"

"Delicious, as always!"

"Aw, thanks guys," he smiled at them as they shared in the stew he'd made for them.

"Mm, it's okay."

The air came to a dead halt around them. Those with sense ignored the comment and continued eating. Those who liked to watch trouble happen looked over at Ikaris.

Ikaris looked at Thena.

She met his eyes, placing her bowl down gently. "What did you say?"

Gil kept his eyes on Thena as well, not even glancing in Ikaris' direction. "Thena, it's okay."

"No," she said in a low growl, glaring at her brother across from her. "Say it again--I dare you."

Ikaris smiled; he'd gotten his wish. He'd poked Thena's weak spot, and had been rewarded with her temper. "I said it was just okay."

"Ikaris," Sersi hissed at him, but he ignored even her.

This was becoming a regular occurrence between the two Fighters ever since Thena pushed him down the temple stairs a few weeks ago. Ajak had left him in charge, and Thena had responded to that just as poorly as expected.

Thena slammed her spoon into the table, the stone of it cracking under the force of her strength. "Gilgamesh lovingly prepares meals for us and this is how you show your gratitude?"

"Thena," Gil tried again, but the two of them had been snapping and biting at each other for days, now. It had only been a matter of time before it came to a boil. "Really-"

"Easy, Thena," Ikaris grinned at her, sparking even more of her fury. "I'd be happy to express my gratitude for some good food."

"Ikaris, don't," Ajak said more firmly, but even she had no power to stop what was about to happen.

"If only there were some."

Thena had a whip in her hands, snapping it around Ikaris and throwing him above their heads and into the hallway outside. She took one strong leap, cracking the floor under her feet and flying into the hall after him.

Ikaris growled as she dug her knee into his gut, pulling his hair.

"Take it back!" she barked at him, clawing at him like a child with the strength of an Eternal.

Ikaris gripped her arms, able to wrap his hands around them completely, and threw her away from him. She tumbled and rolled a few times before digging her feet in. "Make me!"

"Unbelievable!" Ajak cursed as she emerged to corral her unruly Eternal children. But she squinted as Ikaris flew at Thena, tackling her straight through the wall and out into the evening air. "That's enough!"

They couldn't hear her. Or they were pretending not to in favour of their petty little scuffle.

It would be little if they weren't so immeasurably strong, of course. Ikaris plowed Thena's back into the ground, digging her shoulders into the cobblestones with his strength.

Thena kicked up, nailing him in the stomach and sending him tumbling up into the air. She picked herself up out of her crater and launched herself at him. When she reached the height of her jump she summoned a hook, tossing it up until it could grip Ikaris' shoulder for her. She turned herself in the air, letting her momentum travel to him and whip him back to the ground in her place.

Ikaris landed with a groan, roaring as Thena landed dead centre on his chest. "Fuck!"

Thena let out her own growl as he gripped her ankle and tossed her aside. Her head hit the dirt, then he was tossing her the other way. She bared her teeth at him before bringing up her shield.

He was going to bring his lasers into this? Fine.

"Both of you, stop it!" Ajak shouted from the temple entrance, although she had to duck as Thena's spear flew into the wall above her and then vanished, called back to Thena's control as soon as she demanded. "The utter disgrace."

"They still going at it?" Phastos asked as he joined their leader, having just fixed the table and the floor in the dining hall.

"Let 'em," Druig waved, shoving an apple into his mouth as he watched Thena catch Ikaris with the blunt end of her spear and bat him straight into the nearest wall.

"No, don't let them," Gil huffed as he pushed past them all and started down the stairs. "They'll kill each other if we let them."

Druig rolled his eyes, "she can take 'im."

But the others followed Gil out to where the two Fighters were going at it like cats and dogs. Thena called a bow and arrow into her hand. Projectiles weren't her specialty, but it was strong enough as Ikaris flew above her to drive into his shoulder.

"You bitch!"

"Okay," Gil muttered, charging up his fists and testing them against each other. "That's enough."

"Gilgamesh," Ajak called out to him, sounding more exasperated by the minute. "Don't."

Makkari nudged Druig. Can't you stop them?

We're not so easy, my beautiful, beautiful Makkari, he smiled, obviously enjoying the spare time to flirt while his brother and sister attempted to murder each other. Besides, I don't like going into Ikaris' mind. It's a jungle in there.

"Well, we have to do something," Sersi frowned beside them, not that the Thinker was exactly running into the middle of the scuffle that was now a war zone.

"Thena, hey!--hey, come on." Gil walked right up to her, no fear of the conflict, no fear of her power catching him by accident. He clasped his hands together around her waist, lifting her up and walking backwards with her.

Thena turned her head in his direction but didn't fight particularly hard to escape his grasp.

"Ha!" Ikaris barked from the sky above them. "Listen to your boyfriend, Thena! You-"

Phastos slammed Ikaris into the ground, holding him steady with his rings buzzing with power. "That's enough outta you."

Ikaris struggled against them and their feedback pushing his own strength down on him. He blinked as the ground around him liquefied and then solidified again. He tugged, but he was very literally buried in the sand now. He looked up. "Sersi?"

Druig and Makkari traded glances; they were impressed.

"You can come out when you're done with your schoolyard taunting," she huffed at him before turning on her heel, rejoining Ajak and Phastos in their collective headache.

"Sersi," Ikaris pleaded, pulling at the stone embedding him up to his thighs and wrists. "Sersi, please!"

Gil walked past him, carrying Thena in his embrace. "Listen to your girlfriend, Ikaris."

[2023] TOP 20 PODCASTS ON AO3 FOUND IN FANDOMS > OTHER MEDIA

To make this ranking, all series titles in Other Media were copy-pasted to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then manually filtered since not all podcasts were marked as such.

The numbers under each rank indicate how much they rose/fell in the rankings based on last year's (Oct. 24, 2023) rankings, which can be found here. The gray numbers in parenthesis indicate how much fanworks it gained since last year.

The data for this year and last year's rankings were taken while logged in, so lcoked fanworks are included in the count.

A few web series like Critical Role and Dimensions 20 released audio-only versions of their works too, but I left them out since they were listed was a web series on ao3 and more known as one too.

Cabin Pressure has also been left off the list this time since its podcast format was only released in 2019, years after it aired on the radio.

All nonfiction podcasts have also been excluded (Not that there were many), because with RPFs, it’s hard to tell if the fic in question is just based on the podcast or because of the things the person has done outside of it. Last year, I accidentally included The Misfits in the list since I didn't realize from its description that it was nonfiction.

The Two Princes (Podcast) ranks 21st in the rankings this year, and actually ranked 20th last year when the rankings are adjusted to exclude Cabin Pressure and The Misfits.

The College Tapes is actually a spinoff of The Bright Sessions.
