of all the thing i'm really glad for this year, i'm especially happy to have met the sweetest BL people in discord ever. you're all the best part of my day now and i'm especially glad that @ellieellieoxenfree came into my DMs to answer a question i had in my tags. you're a homie and everyone in our server is a gem, truly.

Everything kept replaying in his head. Nothing made sense anymore. All that time he spent training, chasing that pursuit of power to further himself beyond Kakarot, had all but proven fruitless. He'd sacrifice everything and for what? To prove that he couldn't keep up with a third class who kept widening the gap? That his mere child could prove better than he was. It was humiliating. He'd stare blankly at the ship before him, leaning against a tree, he wasn't sure how long he'd been out here lost in his thoughts but a familiar voice had pulled him out of them. He didn't turn to face her, didn't react beyond the slightest tensing of his jaw. It was clear he had heard her, but that was all.

"No" he finally muttered, voice low and hollow. "What is there to talk about? Kakarot's gone, and nothing I did mattered. What am I supposed to say? That I failed again? That it was all for nothing?" He shook his head bitterly. "I don't want to talk"

His words were sharp, but there was an unmistakebale heaviness in them. His pride was shattered, and with his rival gone, so was his drive. There was nothing left for him to fight for, and that terrified him more than he would ever admit.

oh. oh my. um. i seem to have gained a fair few followers because of my ndn rage post. hi! welcome! new people are always fun and exciting. i love making new frands.

that said, i'm not really a deep thoughts blog. unless you really liked the vibe of jack handy. i'm largely a fandom blog with a sprinkling of shitposts and i think i'm funnier than i am. my current hyperfixation is ffxiv, and i just got a new computer with a grownup graphics card so i screencap a lot. which is not to say you're not welcome here, or that i'm without my serious moments, just... level your expectations if you decide to stay. have a look around! decide if this is what you signed up for. i'm happy to have you if it is! i wish you no ill will if it is not!

If there’s one thing Darcy can say she loves about the Asgardian g-d king, it’s his ability to be frank and open and loud about the way he feels. Nobody ever wonders what it is he’s thinking, nobody ever considers that malice or discontent lurks hidden behind a smile -- if Thor is smiling, it is because he is happy or amused and because there is not a single bone in his body capable of denying that.It’s beautiful in an embarrassing sort of way, but it’s something Darcy admires and tries to emulate in her day to day life, even when he wasn’t poking around the lab or plastered across news screens (Thor was a favorite of the public), although she’s not proud to admit that maybe it’s her anger that shows itself plainly in sharp sarcasm than anything good and soft like Thor.

She’s not sure if the open affection, bestowed without prejudice amongst friends and family and lovers alike, is an Asgardian custom or just a Thor thing, but when he reaches out to her with those impossibly beefy arms, Darcy doesn’t hesitate --she falls happily into him, nuzzling her head against his chest, her own arms circling his hips to bring him in close.(He smells like nothing she’s ever smelled before -- something alien and strange, but still homey and safe and comforting, his body a wall around hers).

“That’s right, big guy. Just hug it out.”

he’s wheezing and when rey squeezes his hand, sinks into his consciousness she can feel the heat in his lungs.  he’s panicking, hyperventilating, which only makes the breathing hurt more.  his lungs are burned–burning still.

“in and out, ben–slowly.”

it hurts, he pulses at her.  it hurts more than anything.  his whole body is dying from the lack of oxygen and she can feel it.  

“i know.  but you promised.  you promised if i made it, you’d live.”

i don’t know if i–

“you’re not a liar, ben.  you told me that.”  he had no subtle bones in his body, and how she hated his truths but they were truths.  “you spent years wanting to be the next vader.  he survived on mustafar.  so can you.”

she sinks into the force.  she doesn’t know healing, and besides–ben would probably need to heal himself.  she takes his hand and wills the oxygen in her lungs to spread through the force to him.  it doesn’t.  because that’s not how the force works.

but she does feel his fingers start to twitch.  she does feel his hand tightening in hers, as if drawing strength from her arm.  she sees him close his eyes–not in pain, but in something else.  she feels heat, not from the volcanic planet around her, but from the force around ben as he lies there, breathing slowly. when he opens his eyes, they lock onto hers.

don’t look away, he begs her.  don’t let me die on my own.

“you’re not going to die,” she tells him fiercely.  

maybe.  i’ll try not to.

i’m not a liar.

his face is wracked in pain, and his grip on her hand is unbearably hard.  he is wheezing still, and there are flecks of spittle at the corner of his mouth, and rey reaches a hand up and brushes sweaty dark hair from his forehead.  

in her mind, she sees the seas of ahch-to, feels the rain that fell from the heavens that fell on her face, and fell on his.  she wills the sea breeze to cool him as his ragged breathing clears and his hand goes lax in hers.

Take in that image right there and tell me they don’t ALL look like they wanna climb him like a jungle gym. They straight look like Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed from the Lion King, bout to bust out into showtunes before making a meal of the kid sksksks. And lbr, he and Panchito were in prison for a min so his look might be “aaaah, memories.” Cuz they never really tell us like what is it that made him such a faaan of Barrón in the first place. And gorl was pushin real hard for the rest of the fam to like him, just sayin.

There’s no logical Dinarrón reason for me to include this except that the way Ramon walks here rivals aforementioned Barrón stairwalk in terms of pure sexness sksksks like godddd he looks good🥴 OH EXCEPT, the way Barrón follows Mon to confront Chapo and Cochi. Already the work ethic. Mans means business strollin behind, already all-in with the backup even tho he just got there.

SO BASICALLY Dina and Barrón YET AGAIN fulfill the same function as the resident comforting watchdogs, at the Same. Damn. Time.

And lastly, but most importantly…. And it’s crucial that you’re here with me, in this moment, because….. there is, for a millisecond …. it’s literally blink and miss it …. but there is A Look. Right after adorb sib head rub, Dina throws a look Barrón’s way and he fucking looks at her back while he’s walking by steering Panchito with adorable shoulder rub. THERES A LOOK. ITS FUCKING THERE.
