Watching the new Wednesday (kudos to me if I don’t spell her name wrong ever in this post!) show and it’s mostly good. Rant coming tho. On the second to last episode atm. Wuts giving me frustration is the romance. When she first met Enid (enid right?) I thought they were gonna be gay cause it seemed like a good fit that they might go with! But no! No! The stupid love triangle they gave Wednesday instead was so fucking bad. Both guys are obsessive and clingy. Wednsesday will actively either not show interest or show anti-interest, and they’ll be like “but I thought you liked me”, like bitch where?! They just keep pushing her, and when Wednesday kisses the normie pushie dude, it felt more like she was finally forced to out of his nagging rather than actually wanting it herself. It feels like they’re backing her into a corner every chance they get despite how many times she’s blatantly not into it and it’s making me boil. Wednesday would have been so much better with Enid or as aroace, not with those two jealous fuckwad boys. I want to physically push them back every time they get close to her

monday: do you struggle with the ‘boring’ parts of writing?

this might be bad advice, but in regards to the text of writing, if there’s boring parts those gotta 🔪🔪 go, either be cut out or edited into something that isn’t considered boring bc if it’s boring to the writer it’s gonna be boring to the reader, and they have no reason not to jump ship, y’know? 

now, in terms of the writing process, i don’t find any parts of it boring (luckily!) i really love research, i love plotting, i love word vomiting out a first draft, i love editing– anything that approaches boring would be the quiet after i publish a piece, and that isn’t actually boring bc it’s terribly nerve-wracking as;ldkfjals but compared to the actual writing processes, once it’s out there in the world i don’t have anything to do so it’s “boring” by comparison
