So I've been thinking about moving a lot lately, but in a slightly more concrete way. I'm still planning on waiting until Peri dies (and he's going strong at 14 years old). In a pinch he could do it, but he's rather elderly for such a big move. I will probably downsize a whole lot and ship a moving pod while I drive, but we'll see.
I'm thinking Oregon or Washington will be my first choice. It'll be expensive, but I think I can manage it - if I transfer with my job, I'll get a cost of living pay increase, and I'll sell my house so I'll have a good chunk of money to start out with. I know a couple people in the Portland/Vancouver area, one in Centralia, WA, some family in Olympia, WA, one in Seattle, one up in Vancouver, BC, and another friend who's about to move to Eugene, OR, so I wouldn't be completely alone the way I was here. I like the idea of living in a more urban environment, and my weird would work up there, I think. The lack of sunlight worries me a little, but I think I could adapt. I'm going out there for a wedding in the spring, and I'll do some looking around while I'm there.
That brings me to think about the cats. They don't like car rides, as most cats don't. That would be over 40 hours, probably around 8 days if I take it easy and don't push too far each day, stuck in the car and motels. Once I get there, I'd likely be in a very small apartment for at least a year. And they are not the best of friends even with plenty of space to get away. I do think I could find them both good homes if it came to that. ...And I'd rather not, because I love them both very much, but it's something I will need to think about as the time gets closer. Quality of life is always on my mind, and while we could push through the temporary stress of moving, the ongoing stress of a tiny living space when they already don't really like each other might not be worth forcing on them.
We'll see.
Anybody want to move to the PNW with me?

Batman Timeline (Personal Canon)
Beginning of Batman
Bruce returns to Gotham at the age of 25 to much media fanfare. He decides he is ready to finally enact his plan. Meanwhile, Lieutenant James Gordon is transferred to the GCPD after becoming persona non-grata in his home town of Chicago. He moves with his wife, Barbara Gordon, and she later gives birth to their son, James Junior.
In his first outing, Bruce encounters Selina Kyle and nearly dies. When a bat flies through his window, he comes up with the idea of Batman as a symbol which will make him more powerful than a simple man. Selina is later inspired to become Catwoman and focuses her heists on Carmine Falcone. Batman and Jim Gordon oust the corrupt police commissioner and become allies. (Batman: Year One)
Bruce reconnects with his old friend, Harvey Dent, now an assistant district attorney. Bruce attends his wedding to his wife, Gilda, and endorses him for district attorney.
The Red Hood gang carries out a series of violent robberies. When Batman confronts them at the Ace Chemical Plant, Red Hood One, the ringleader, falls into a vat of chemicals and doesn’t resurface.
Batman battles Hugo Strange who is now experimenting with turning people into deformed giant mutants. (Batman & the Monster Men)
A vampire cult forms in Gotham and is foiled by Batman. (Batman and the Mad Monk)
The Joker makes his first appearance with Batman realizing he was Red Hood One who fell into the chemicals but not what his real name was. Joker is declared legally insane and sent to a high security hospital. (The Man Who Laughs)
Batman, Jim Gordon, and the newly elected Harvey Dent make a pact to take down Carmine Falcone’s criminal empire at any cost. (The Long Halloween)
Falcone reaches out to Bruce and claiming that their fathers were friends, asks Bruce to help him invest in Gotham Bank which Bruce is on the board of trustees for aka allow Falcone’s organization to launder money through the bank. Bruce refuses.
Selina, now reinvented as a socialite, revolves in the Falcones’ circles and begins dating Bruce.
On Halloween night, Carmine Falcone’s nephew is killed in his home, setting off a series of murders which occur on a holiday each month. (The Long Halloween)
Initially the targets are those close to Falcone but after his son, Alberto, is killed on New Years Eve they change direction and target those working for Sal Maroni. A war escalates between the two rivals over who is responsible. Both sides and the police begin to suspect Harvey Dent. Bruce refuses to believe it.
Falcone hires Poison Ivy to seduce Bruce Wayne so he can launder money through Gotham Bank, unintentionally taking Batman out of the equation. Selina figures it out and rescues him as Catwoman inadvertently revealing her identity to Bruce. He decides to do nothing about it for now.
Maroni agrees to testify against Falcone but he is really laying a trap for Harvey who he splashes in the face with acid in the courtroom as revenge for his father’s murder. Harvey is rushed to the hospital but escapes into the sewers. When Batman tries to go after him, he is attacked by Solomon Grundy instead.
On Labor Day, Batman and Jim move Sal Maroni in order to draw out the killer. Maroni is killed by Alberto Falcone who is revealed to have faked his death. He claims to have been the Holiday Killer all along, motivated by a desire to prove to his father he is qualified to take over the family business.
On Halloween, Harvey Dent resurfaces and kills both Carmine Falcone and his corrupt assistant who enabled his attack. He announces himself as Two-Face and that there are two Holiday Killers before he is arrested and taken away.
Bruce wonders what he might have meant by this as he dispairs that he was just about to tell Harvey about his identity as Batman.
It is revealed to the audience that Gilda Dent was actually the original Holiday Killer but stopped after New Years when she believed Harvey had taken up the mission for her. Actually it was Alberto who saw an opportunity in the murders. Gilda destroys the evidence and leaves town.
Bruce falls into a depressive episode after failing to solve the mystery and losing the faith that he had in Harvey Dent as a beacon of hope for the city. His relationship with Selina suffers for it.

Morning Musume ‘24’s Ishida Ayumi Graduation Commemorative Series #3 “Connection” With History And Love, Memories of The Days Growing While Nurturing The Love
This is an interview with non-no web as with the “Morning Musume ‘24 Concert Tour Autumn WE CAN DANCE! ~Blå Eld~ Ishida Ayumi FINAL” being held at Yokohama Arena on December 6th, Ishida Ayumi will be graduating from Morning Musume ‘24 and Hello! Project.
So in this series with the keyword being “connection”, for this third interview we unravel Ishida Ayumi-san’s life in Morning Musume up until now; about the love for Morning Musume that was born within Ishida-san through activities and also looking back on the process of wanting to connect that feeling to the history of the group.
※There are some parts that go over songs from the current tour. Please keep in mind if you do not want to know the setlist.
Tumblr media
Cool Idol, A Shocking Encounter With Morning Musume
–Do you remember when you heard your first Morning Musume song?
I talked about this a bit in the first part of this series but, the song I chose based on the advice from a friend to audition with, “Naichau Kamo” was the first song I came across. The song made me flip my opinion on idols 180 degrees. Up until then I thought idols wore cute frilly costumes with big smiles on their faces so I was shocked. When I first watched the MV I was surprised like, “they’re crying…!?”; I got excited and realized there are cool idols that can make sad faces. From there I strongly thought “I also want to become a cool Morning Musume!”. I don’t think my friend who told me about the song was particularly a fan but, I later thought that it was amazing that she knew about this Morning Musume. I gradually got into them from there with “Kimagure Princess” and “Nanchatte Renai”.
–Was it Ishida-san’s wish to include “Naichau Kamo” on the setlist?
“Naichau Kamo” was the song that led me to joining Morning Musume and I would mention that I particularly liked it after joining and so, I think there are many who remember that about me. But, as I continued to be active, I gradually came to love other songs too. Of course it hasn’t changed that I cherish the song “Naichau Kamo” but, I thought that I wanted to do songs that were important while I have been active (in Morning Musume) for my last tour. But I received more reactions about “Naichau Kamo” from the members than I had expected, like, “Ishida-san, you’ll include this song of course, right?” and “Since there are members who have never done it, we’ll have to start practicing early,” (laughs). Further, the director, who has always helped me said, “You didn’t put that song on your wishlist, are you sure about that?”. So many people close to me think “Naichau Kamo” = me so, I thought that there was no doubt that fans were looking forward to it and I added it later to my wishlist (laughs).
–Do you still remember when you were given hundreds of Morning Musume songs after joining?
Soon after joining I received a huge amount of CDs, DVDs and choreography videos. I think it was about two paper bags worth. At the time the lyrics were on paper so, it also came together with a separate bulky folder. I was really happy when I received it. In particular the choreography videos are valuable and can only be seen by members and I was moved watching the rehearsal footage of my seniors. I was told about the songs that we were expecting to perform at my first live, so I started with learning those songs. I also remember at the time I had to transfer the songs from my computer to my phone so, the process of doing that is also nostalgic.
–Do you remember any specific songs that interested you at the time?
At the time I was into the fun feeling of songs like “Chokkan 2 ~Nogashita Sakana wa Ookiizo!~” and “Koi no Dance Site”. Also, I had heard “Happy Summer Wedding” before but, when I saw the dance it had a completely different feel from what I knew, I remember being shocked by it. By the way, on this tour, there are songs that have a fun feeling that are incorporated at great times so I want you to pay attention to that.
–Speaking of Morning Musume songs, I think the lyrics are a big part of the appeal so, do you have any memories realizing this?
When I performed for the first time in 2012 at a Hello! Project concert, there were 4 members in 9th generation, 4 in 10th generation and also 4 in S/mileage’s (now Angerme) 2nd generation so, we each got to perform 1 song in every performance. The 10th generation performed Abe Natsumi-san’s “Koi no Telephone GOAL” and Country Musume with Ishikawa Rika-san’s “Hajimete no Happy Birthday!”. There were 3 units with the same number of people and generation, so a competitive atmosphere naturally came about. The teachers also encourage us to improve on our own, with words like, “That unit is doing well here,”. With that, the 10th generation were anxious and we discussed how to better convey the song and it became like “First off lets all think about the meaning of the lyrics,’. I think that was the first time. They set aside time for everyone to go to a corner of the room with the lyric sheets, we went over it like, ‘with the lyrics in this part it would be better to smile more’. Things like ‘It’d be good to do the “Koi no Telephone GOAL” soccer ball kick choreography bigger, right?’.
Memories From The First Tour, Awareness Towards Carrying Morning Musume
Tumblr media
–Please tell us about your memories from the first tour.
Since the 9th generation had joined about a year ago and we also had joined about 3 months ago, everyone took the dance lessons before the tour together. And so, I don’t have any painful memories of it personally. Also, at the time the manager set clear goals for us like “During the live, each of you should look at the camera 3 times,”; I remember doing my best to put that into practice. In the solo tour the 4 in 9th generation and the 4 in 10th generation each had their own performances and the 9th generation had “Namida Tomaranai Houkago” and the 10th generation had “Suki na Senpai”. Although they only had about 6 months on us career-wise I thought the 9th generation really looked like seniors to me, and since the 10th generation all had a strong competitive spirit, and were arbitrarily sparking like “We’ll make it look fresh!” (laughs). I think I was really looking forward to my first tour.
–No matter how young the new members are in Morning Musume, I have the image that the inexperienced members give a performance that feels “Morning Musume-like” on their first tour's first day. Could you tell us from Ishida-san’s perspective why that is?
It's simply the environment. Also in our case we had the 9th generation as close role models to us, that was really big. They generously taught us everything that they had experienced in their 6 months before us, and we were close in age so communicating was easy. The 10th generation was really lucky.
The most recent story is from the 17th generation when they performed for their first “ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL”; the staff told us “Although you two are still new, from once you joined, you’ll be seen as being a member of Morning Musume, right. If the two of you can’t do it properly, people will end up thinking there are girls in Morning Musume that can’t do it. We have to stand on the same stage and work hard regardless of being seniors or juniors,”. It was certainly harsh words but, it's not just the words, our environment is set up so we have that mindset even in rehearsals and I think it's very efficient for us. Since we always prepare for the performance with no time to spare, we don’t have the luxury of being like, they’re new so it's fine if they take it at their own pace, I’ll watch over them until they realize things themselves. Therefore we’re able to have the natural atmosphere of not hesitating to ask questions regardless of senior-junior relationships; that also may be a big part of it. As a senior member I also try to teach the new members things right away.
–Is there anything else you think about from your perspective as a senior?
Recently Morning Musume dances have really gotten more difficult, and even the new members will be performing a full stage so, I think it's a lot harder than before. There were actually quite a few uncertain times before our concert; honestly, there were several times I thought “It may be pretty rough,”. But everyone somehow managed to get it cleared by the first day. I simply think that was amazing.
Also this is something I realized through activities but, we work with some amazing professionals. Surrounded by these wonderful people, we’re able to continue as Morning Musume with their help; I have to be conscious of this situation so we don’t embarrass ourselves. I think that's what it means to carry Morning Musume’s history, I’d personally like my juniors to also have that mindset.
–The 10th generation were introduced at Takahashi Ai-san’s graduation performance. After that you experienced your seniors that supported you, Niigaki Risa-san, Mitsui Aika-san, Tanaka Reina-san, and Michishige Sayumi-san all graduate, please tell us how you felt about that.
Takahashi Ai-san was the first graduation but, since it was with the timing of the 10th generation just joining, we were on stage together without me really knowing what was going on. Also after that in the next tour Niigaki-san and Mitsui-san graduated. Niigaki-san was the leader at the time and although it was for a short period of about 6 months she really helped the 10th generation. She even helped us out in mediating a childish fight (laughs). I think Niigaki-san probably felt like she was raising children. She undertook being the leader under a really difficult period…… At the time I didn’t properly understand the state of things so, my emotions towards Niigaki-san and Mitsui-san graduating were “Thank you for everything, I’m lonely” but, when I look back on it I feel really grateful for them.
And so from around the time Tanaka-san graduated, my feelings finally caught up with me. Graduation is a positive thing but, as a remaining member I came to feel a “sense of loss”. In particular Tanaka-san was in charge of singing, and she would clearly call attention to the junior members who couldn’t sing. In any case she was really compassionate and would look after her juniors. I found this out recently but, usually the remaining members give comments towards the graduating person. But Tanaka-san said “It’d be better for the members to talk with me”, so it seems like the configuration of it changed. I didn’t realize it at the time but, this was something we wouldn’t have been able to do unless she knew the members; I don’t think that would be something I would think of in the first place so I’m kinda really grateful for that. Also I’m personally really happy to have sang “Shabondama” while Tanaka-san and Michishige-san were in the group. It was a song that was right in line with the cool Morning Musume I admired; I watched those two in videos closely as well so, actually seeing it I felt like “It's the real thing!”.
Tanaka-san’s graduation was a shock but Michishige-san was still there as my supportive senior so at the same time there was a sense of security like, “I won’t go wrong if I watch Michishige-san’s back,”. Therefore when Michishige-san said her reason for graduating was that “The juniors have become more reliable,” we all felt like “That isn’t true, please always stay with us!”. But, so as we wouldn’t do anything to tarnish Michishige-san’s decision in graduating, we were able to think, let's do our best and work hard. I think it was all thanks to Michishige-san up until then. But actually 2015 was really tough for us when Michishige-san graduated. Even then we worked hard and got to where we are now.
–Do you remember being impressed by any of your seniors dancing when you joined Morning Musume?
What I really remember about my seniors is that I thought, how is it that even though they were dancing in such tall heels, their legs were so slim and pretty…… Like the way their muscles are built make them idols. I had been dancing the whole time and my legs had become quite muscular from dancing so the difference surprised me. Also, I was impressed watching the videos of my seniors dancing before I joined in MV’s and such. It wasn’t a matter of being good or bad, their power of persuasion of being “genuine” was off the charts. But I didn’t want to run away from it with the excuse of,  “the seniors are my older sisters”. At the time I didn’t understand how to make it persuasive or what to do specifically but, as a Morning Musume I was filled with feelings of wanting to have that persuasive power myself. I really struggled through it and worked hard from there, I hope that I am now as persuasive as my seniors.
Memories of Turning a Tough Spot Into an Opportunity
Tumblr media
–After your seniors graduated, the 9th generation members were the most senior and led the new Morning Musume but, please tell us how it felt at that time.
When Fukumura (Mizuki)-san became the leader, I simply thought it was amazing that someone the same age as me became leader. I knew she was carrying something I couldn’t even fathom, but there was a sense of security because I really trusted her. I think all of the members felt the same. Therefore when Fukumura-san was actually appointed as the leader, she said something like “You may think I’ll be the most unreliable leader in our history,” but we all shook our heads like crazy saying, “That isn’t true!”. But I understood Fukumura-san’s uneasy feelings so that's why even though I didn’t have a specific title I wanted to help out, so it was also the kind of change where my awareness changed a bit. Since in 2014 we had been working with a great family-like atmosphere, and then in 2015 we would go beyond the generational lines and play around, I think those kinds of changes made the new Morning Musume. Fukumura-san and I were in high school together and would study together as well; we spent a lot of time feeling our youth.
–Morning Musume has the image of being very good at responding to accidents during lives and such. I’d like to hear about any stories Ishida-san has in regards to that.
Since a live performance can’t be stopped, there are a lot of accidents, right (laughs). My earliest memory of this is from the Michishige☆Eleven SOUL Zama evening performance when I had to sing instead of Tanaka-san in “Watashi no Dekkai Hana”. I didn’t have any emotions like I could or couldn’t do it, I just thought “I have to do it”. Also in my case, there was a part of me that thought “Maybe this is an opportunity”. Therefore although I was in a hurry it was like “......I’ll sing it!”. At the time it was a big incident but, there were always various tiny incidents, like accidentally coming out without a microphone, and ‘how do I rotate the mic to use it!?’  In those cases I was already feeling excited (laughs), so conversely, it would fire me up. When someone on stage is having trouble and has to leave, other members will often cover their parts and we make eye contact with each other to decide who will sing. I think experience is the big factor in making sudden adjustments to our positions and I can do it naturally.
–Outside of lives, it became a hot topic when you appeared in place of Miyamoto Karin in Juice=Juice’s “Ijiwaru Shinaide Dakishimete yo” MV.
Thinking about it again, it was a really special event (laughs). But I think there was a part of me that thought “this is an opportunity” after all. I was dancing in the middle so it was a chance for a lot of people to see me. Although I was just there visiting, I took pride in what I did. So it feels the same when it's for lives.
–Also speaking of Morning Musume, there is the strong impression that even during graduation concerts there aren’t really scenes where you aren’t able to sing even though you are crying. Were you taught this by seniors or perhaps teachers?
I’ve never been told by the teachers, “Don’t cry, please sing properly”. I think the fans would say that it's alright to cry but, we probably don’t like it. It's like not being able to deliver the song well. Holding our mic properly and singing in unison is something rooted within us, so that also may be why. Of course when we cry, there are moments I can't hear parts of the song through my ear monitor that I sing because I’m crying but even so, Morning Musume never gives up on singing. Also I realized now that I’m graduating, it’ll be absolutely sad if I can’t sing my last song. Therefore it’d be best if I can sing up to the end without crying.
–Does Ishida-san think there are any other secrets to Morning Musume’s responsiveness?
I talked about this a bit ago but, there isn’t much time in our activities to spend practicing. Therefore each of us really value the time we have to review. We’ll immediately check the videos from rehearsals or concerts. In that way, everyone can see the big picture, perhaps that is also connected to our responsiveness to accidents. Also often with Morning Musume, everyone will check first and foremost the actual accident on video (laughs). It's really exciting like “Look how fast you got up after falling!” (laughs).
Process of Developing Morning Musume Love, Desire To Pass It On To Juniors
Tumblr media
–Michishige Sayumi-san has said “My love for Morning Musume is super strong”, I really have the impression that she is well liked by juniors and seniors. I’d like to ask you about your love for Morning Musume.
The start was Michishige-san. She was loved by everyone around her, by all of Michishige-san’s fans and the staff. She was also really reliable; I thought “Why is this?” while watching her, and I realized it was because Michishige-san really cares about everyone around her. It's also about properly speaking your thoughts to your fans, I learned about the importance of taking action and about love. In my case, it’s not like I really liked Morning Musume when joining originally, so I gradually came to like it after joining. But I came to like it so much because we are such a charming group, and it was all thanks to my seniors' efforts. It's also the love from those who surround Morning Musume. Therefore with this environment I naturally came to think that I wanted to connect with the love and thoughts that were growing within me.
–The Hello! Project Anniversary provided a big opportunity to look back on history, was there anything that made an impression on you from then?
I was able to be present for the timing of Morning Musume’s 15th, 20th and 25th anniversary. Outside of that I have been blessed to have been able to work with my seniors from Morning Musume and Hello! Project but, there is one thing I really regret. In 2013 Matsuura Aya-san performed at the 2013 countdown concert but, at the time I wasn’t able to really burn it into my memory. It really doesn’t seem like something that could happen currently. When I first joined I only was looking towards myself. Through activities, there are things that have made a bigger impression on me in more recent years as I came to love Morning Musume. I’m really honored to have been an active member during the 25th anniversary; I burned Nakazawa Yuko-san’s solo stage from the first rehearsal into my memory. Also recently the OG seniors have been really amazing, I’ve come to thnk that there isn’t any reason to be afraid of them. I believe in the words of the OG seniors when they say “The current Morning Musume is amazing,”. Adopting that mindset made it easier to talk with the seniors naturally. That's why I started to talk with the OG seniors myself and I recently have gotten friendly with Taiyou and Ciscomoon.
–Since you had the opportunity to interact with so many seniors, do you have the desire to pass that on to the next generation?
I do. I started thinking about this when Michishige-san graduated. I think there are a lot of people in the entertainment industry that knew Michishige-san but didn’t know the current Morning Musume so, I felt a sense of danger like what do we do without Michishige-san. And so, in the limited time up until Michishige-san’s graduation, I would try to greet the staff and such alongside Michishige-san. Since I’m a naturally shy person, I had never done anything of my own initiative like that before, but I thought it was important to be aware of that. Even with my current juniors, some of the girls are not good at talking with others on their own, so I’ve thought it would be good to invite them to meet our seniors if I have a chance to meet with them before graduation.
–I’d like to hear about what made you happy to take over and what was difficult to take over from your seniors in terms of performances.
I talked about this in the 2nd interview but, inheriting Sayashi (Riho)-san’s solo dance part in “Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi” left an impression on me. Since it's a song that left a strong lasting impression of Sayashi-san, at first I thought, “Will we do this song after Sayashi-san graduates……!?”. As it was a dance only Sayashi-san could dance to, I was troubled over how to  dance to it and at first when I was trying to figure it out and I wasn’t satisfied with any of it, but when I changed it to my own choreography, it was turning point that really changed my awareness towards my own dancing. I thought it was a must-have on this tour as well, so it was included.
–Speaking of on stage, I’d like to ask about the many rap parts Ishida-san has been in charge of.
A while ago, It probably started when I rapped in “SEXY NIGHT ~Wasurarenai Yoru~” at a 9th & 10th generation high school or middle school-like event. At the time I was surprised as I had never thought about rapping myself but, I received another rap part from Tsunku-san in “Watashi no Dekkai Hana”, I have a memory where I thought, I’m a rapper…… Those around me gave me this opportunity, and I’m really thankful that it has become a part of me. After that I inherited the opening rap of “HOW DO YOU LIKE JAPAN? ~Nihon wa Donna Kanjidekka?” from Niigaki-san, I think that's where my impression of rap became even stronger, the only members who have sung this part so far are myself and Niigaki-san; I'm really happy about this personally. After I graduate, I’m really interested in who will take it over. This time it's included in the setlist and I was told by the director “If Ishida is gone, there isn’t anyone else who can do it,’. Even if it was a lie, I was happy to hear words like that and I’m going to give it my all until the very end.
–I think the rap in ”HOW DO YOU LIKE JAPAN?” plays into a particular momentum at fests and big venues during the live so do you have any thoughts on how you would like your juniors to take this over?
What I feel when I watch my own performance is, even though I’m thoroughly energetic at the beginning part, in the beginning days of it I had the impression of “I’m doing my utmost,”. Like I’m so energetic my face was really scary (laughs). The strong “It's me!” had the opposite effect. Since I do it now with the intention of entertaining the audience, I think the difference is really big. Also in my case I have the habit of looking up when I want to look cool, but the reaction is much better if I’m looking towards the audience. Using gestures to incite a response, it's really fun and exciting. It may be difficult to notice these things and afford time to it but I would be happy if my juniors could take on the rap parts in the future, including this one.
–Also speaking of Ishida-san, I think many are impressed by your stage plays so I’d be happy if you could tell us a bit about them.
I love stage plays. In my first play “Stacies”, I was really praised by the teacher for having a “good intuition” and then lines would be added with short notice; from there I was really positive thinking like “Maybe I’m good at plays” (laughs). I’ve had a lot of experience doing stage plays in Morning Musume but, in “Triangle”, I was cast in a very important role and was right in the middle for the main visuals. Up until then the main roles would be Sayashi-san and Duu (Kudou Haruka) but I was the center, and moreover I felt a lot of pressure singing a lot of songs with Oda (Sakura) who is called a songstress. Since it was during a time where I was aware of my weakness in singing, I was like, what do I do…… I was at such a loss that I would go to the park at night alone and sing, I thought that maybe singing while running would make me more stable and I tried it out (laughs). In any case I struggled and suffered but, every time a stage play ends I think about how I sing and express myself; I really feel like it's rewarding as it's easy to understand how I gained from it. It's not just me personally, I feel like our teamwork improves as a group, that is also big, right. When we did plays every year we did them between our tours and Hello! Project concerts so, I think it's pretty amazing we had that kind of schedule (laughs).

Osborne Park Pros and Cons
Living in Osborne Park offers both pros and cons. One of the things I enjoy about this place is its weather and the entertainment available. The city boasts a vibrant nightlife and stunning natural beauty, with mostly pleasant, sunny weather and sea breezes providing relief during the hot summers. Also, the transportation options include public transport and car access to beaches. Although Perth has never experienced snow, even the coldest winters are bearable. Osborne Park, while not directly on the coast, is still very accessible by car and offers a tranquil suburban setting with access to schools, parks, and job opportunities in light industry or commerce.
Yanchep National Park
If you're in Osborne Park, the Yanchep National Park, located 48 kilometers north of Perth CBD, is a popular tourist destination to go. It is known for its abundant wildlife, crystal caves, and scenic walking trails. The visitors at this park can enjoy the natural habitat of kangaroos, koalas, emus, western grey kangaroos, and over 200 bird species. There's a guided tour of Crystal Cave, an underground limestone cave filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. There are various walking and biking trails that wind through the bush and wetlands, ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging. The park also offers swimming and fishing opportunities. Yanchep National Park has various activities for visitors to enjoy so it's a must-visit.
Pear'fect Cafe is for Sale
Pear'fect Pantry in Osborne Park, Perth, is set for sale after 15 years of serving delicious vegan dishes. Established in 2009, the cafe, originally in Wembley, is known for its warmth, hospitality, and culinary excellence. The owners, Bee and Mel, announced the decision on Facebook, stating it was a "bittersweet decision". The cafe is more than just a business; it's a community hub where friendships are formed over coffee and laughter. The owners hope to sell to a food lover also who can carry on the hospitality tradition and add their flair to the concept. The Facebook post received an outpouring of love from over 100 customers, with some appreciating the cafe's contributions to the cafe world and others expressing sadness and excitement for the new owners.

“hai kai! How are you? Hampir delapan bulan aku engga denger suara ketawa mu lagi, jangan lupa isi token listrik ya”
Laki-laki muda penuh semngat membangun bisnis demi kemajuan ekonomi rakyat kecil.
“Kai, aku mau pesan kue kering al buat acara kantor minggu depan.
Reval paham. Kai terdiam disebrang sambungan telfon. Dan dengan lirih, Reval bertutur,  ” sisa uangnya nanti buat modal tambahan kamu aja gak usah dibalikin” nanti aku ambil kue nya. Aku rindu makan kue salju terenak sedunia, aku rindu kamu.
Kaila terdiam, antara sisa uang yang lebih dari 58 juta dan mengiyakan bahwa dia juga merindukan Reval, teman makan kue kering yang hampir menjadi teman hidup. Perasaan kaila berkecamuk dan hanya terucap. “ aku juga, see you next week.”
Kai. Are you there? Kai masih disana dengan dada yang sesak. Sesak karena rindu dan sisa amarah yang beradu dengan harap.

A list of BL mangas with animal characteristics - PART 1
Hi everyone!! Hope you are doing well. I took my time to make a list of BL mangas with animal characteristics, this is part 1. What I mean by ''animal characteristic'' is that certain parts of the character´s body will be animal parts (ears, tails, etc), but they are not going to be neccesarily omegaverse. Hope you like them :)
Kedamono Arashi / ケダモノアラシ
In this world exist, “normal” human beings and those with ears called “beasts”. Beasts have a unique body that experiences heats/ruts and pregnancy between the same sex is possible. Miyaji Akira is a beast doctor. A beast himself, he defies nature to be one that is not swayed by instincts. Kijima is the hospital director who likes to meddle with Miyaji. Kijima, born with the rare dominant gene, has very strong pheromones which results in him leading a very crazy sex life. Miyaji, although not very good at dealing with the guy and in spite of being the total opposite of him, is tempted by him.
Tumblr media
Omega Shunki / オメガ春機
Kumo from the mountain dog tribe was picked up by Kin from the cat tribe and who lives near a wolf tribe doctor of the omegas, Ise. Whether it be Kumo having the characteristics of a dog, he tends to make playful nibbles and licks towards Kin. However, the fact that Ise was pleased with their excellent compatibility makes Kin’s heart ache.
Tumblr media
Playboy Beast / プレイボーイ・ビースト
In a world where demi-beasts and humans co-exist, Riku Kurobuchi, a panther demi-beast, finds himself facing a dilemma. He is sociable, good looking, talented at sports, and popular with girls, but for some reason he still hasn't experienced his "heat" like everyone else. After an unexpected transfer, he begins sharing his dorm room with the mature and handsome albino lion demi-beast, Touma Shishigaya. Riku wants to keep his secret hidden from the confrontational Touma, but it's Touma's pheromones that bring about Riku's first heat.
Tumblr media
Bakemono no Hanayome / ばけものの花嫁
Hinata's a fox who's become the bride of Kyouya, a member of the wolf pack. Their tribes are bitter enemies, but this marriage should bring about peace. Hinata's disguised as a female at the wedding and has ulterior motives for his soon-to-be husband: he plans to kill Kyouya, who's the son of the wolf pack's leader. The night of their wedding, he tries to carry out the assassination, but Kyouya catches on and he fails. Because he has nine tails, Hinata's even an outcast in his own pack and he decides to wants to die. But, instead of killing him, Kyouya says, "It's time for our honeymoon" and takes him prisoner.
Tumblr media
Musebinake, Junjou / むせび鳴け、純
Yuki has a secret he can't tell anyone: he's actually a beast-person. Yuki has fallen in love with a regular customer, Godai, a man who hunts beasts for a living. If Godai finds out about his identity, their love and chances of being able to see each other will no longer be possible. Yet, Godai who gets chased out of his apartment suddenly ends up freeloading at Yuki's house. Will Yuki be able to hide his secret?
Tumblr media
Yakimochi wa Kitsuineiro / ヤキモチはきつね色
Akiha came to Tokyo to attend school, but on his first day, he's molested on a crowded train. Surprised by it, he was struck dumb but one young man stepped in to help. As they talked, controlled by the fox he is possessed by, he suddenly hugged the young man to thank him.

now and forever
Tumblr media
★ synopsis: reminiscing on his wedding day, he realizes some things.
★ character(s): nanami kentō
★ words of the prophet: repost from @/miss-minty-writes
Tumblr media
the cool breeze of the venue brushes past your face as you take careful steps down the stairs. it’s nerve-wracking—you never dreamed you’d be here—but the smile Itadori gives you reassures you that everything will be fine. a lot of things can go wrong, but you suppose you can manage them somehow.
master tengen was kind enough to put a veil over the location, ensuring that no pesky fellows or unwanted guests destroyed your special day. and everyone at the wedding is a highly skilled sorcerer. things should be fine.
“nervous?” itadori asks, holding your hand as he guides you around the place. you exhale, a gentle laugh escaping you.
“well, you would be too. i didn’t think i’d ever get to see kento again—let alone marry him,” you explain. the boy makes a quiet ‘o’ sound, nodding. after a few seconds of silence, he turns around again, beaming brightly.
“hey, can i ask what happened?”
you giggle at his enthusiasm. “i don’t know if i can remember everything, but sure.”
“you can tell him while we walk,” yaga interrupts, his perfectly ironed black tuxedo shining in the sun. prim and proper as always. “you’re not the only child I have. i need to be the dad at three other weddings today,” he jokes, and feigns hurt when you slap his arm.
Tumblr media
    he’s nervous.
that’s the truth, he’s nervous. anxious, his mind is a wreck, what if, what if—he takes a deep breath. nanami kento is a composed man—this is hardly the time or the place to be nervous.
the love of his life is going to walk down the aisle at any moment.
in retrospect, he remembers the course of action that has brought him here. him, and you. what even made him fall in love with you?
    it was, maybe, your smile.
whenever you’d encounter him in the halls of jujutsu tech, or when you passed by each other during walks in the city, you’d always smile at him. seeing you grin was something that made him warm inside, so he usually waved back, a ghost of a smile tugging at his lips before he went on his way.
    or your eyes.
the first time he saw them up-close was during a mission, when he caught you before you bashed your head on the concrete below you. they held such kindness in them that he was overwhelmed for a second, and that kindness never left as you patched him and haibara up afterwards. he had a thing for eyes, he realized—after all, his just-as-bright-eyed friend gave him the push he needed to confess.
    perhaps your hands.
when you nudged his, intertwining your fingers and you watched gojo and geto bicker in front of you, the subtle glances that you stole from one another under the cherry trees and silent giggles at the antics of the two sorcerers. or when you patted his hair to fix it for him, after his upperclassmen messed it up.
    probably your voice.
the way your laughter echoed, along haibara’s, as you pulled pranks on your friends, or on the kyoto students, and the grin that you showed him when he decided to join in the fun for once.
    then everything disappeared.
it was him that made everything crumble—everything that you had built, all the care and devotion you had poured into your budding relationship, he destroyed it all.
after the incident that robbed him of his best friend, he decided that not getting attached to people would be better for everyone. he became cold, calculated, unforgiving—he took up every mission he could and you barely ever saw him anymore.
it was hard for you. all you wanted to do was give him a hug, or at least talk to him.
so you decided to transfer. tokyo was in shambles after the star plasma vessel event and everyone was doing their own thing. you didn’t have anyone left.
the day before you departed, he came back and you had an argument. it was the worst fight you’d ever had.
the next day, he wasn’t there. you didn’t expect him to see you off, anyway, but it still hurt.
he thought that was the end for you. he was wrong, actually, and he realized that the moment you bumped shoulders in the bakery he frequented—your smile was as brilliant as ever, and he was reminded why he still loved you.
nanami kento never stopped loving you—not after he pushed you away, not after you left, not after you disappeared completely out of his life.
and you never stopped loving him either. you hoped that, one day, you’d find your way back into each other’s arms.
and what do you know? life works in mysterious ways.

the slow, gentle melody floats in the air as you waltz your way through the entire field. you’re laughing, eyes closed and arms around nanami’s neck, as he spins you a few times. he kisses the tip of your nose when he lets you down. your bare feet touch the grass, making you giggle, and you adjust the little flower crown nobara and maki made for you.
it’s just you and him now, enjoying the crack of dawn together.
“to think i’d marry you after all these years,” your now-husband starts, and it’s obvious from his tone that he’s happy (and tired), “it’s almost too good to be true.”
“no, you’re not dreaming, kento,” you reassure him, sticking your tongue out slightly then quickly retracting it before he can grasp it. “i’m right here, next to you, and I will be for the rest of your life. congratulations! you just got yourself a personal menace.”
“you’re not a menace,” he mutters, arms circling your middle when you move to sit down on the grass. “you’ve never been one—even if i said that back then.”
“grief is a terrible thing, you know?” you point out, and place your hands over his when they rest on your torso, wrinkling your dress. “i wish i was there to help you through it.”
“it took me a while to realize, but it was precisely because i didn’t let you help me that i couldn’t get over the entire thing.”
in spite of his serious tone, he nuzzles his nose in the back of your head, kissing your nape lovingly. you giggle, moving your head a little.
    “we’re fine now,” you exhale.
    “mm, we are.”
a comfortable silence settles between you. only the birds chirping and the gurgling water of the river can be heard.
“when did you realize i was the one you wanted to marry?” you ask quietly, resting your head on his shoulder.
“i can’t pinpoint a specific moment. but if i had to say how long did i know it, well,” he chuckles, placing a quick kiss to your temple, “i guess i always knew it’d be you.”

Abe George
Hello friends, I decided to translate Abe George’s Wikipedia article (as of 9/12/2021, when I screenshotted it), and it was quite an undertaking. However, I hope this sheds some light on the guy, as he was quite a character but there’s not much about him on the English side of the internet.  Enjoy!
Abe George (May 17, 1937 - September 2, 2019) was a Japanese novelist and TV personality.
Abe was a former yakuza clan member, who wrote about his experience in prison in the autobiographical novel, “Hei no Naka no Korinai Menmen.” He also worked as a steward with JAL.  He wrote the manga series Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin, which was illustrated by Kakizaki Masasumi, which won the fifty-first Shogakukan Manga Award. He had type O blood.
Abe’s real name was Abe Naoya.  His ex-wife is the businesswoman and essayist Endou Youko, and together they had a son named Endou Shoujirou. Shoujirou works in game development and supervision.
The following section about Abe’s time as a yakuza is estimated to be “In truth, only about 10% accurate, and the rest is embellished.” According to Abe, “writers are like politicians - they never tell the truth.”  However, his time as a steward with JAL has been corroborated by Fukada Yusuke, the husband of one of his coworkers at the time.  Other colleagues have attested to his stories, and pictures remain.
Familial Background
His father, Abe Masao, worked for Nippon Yusen.  His mother’s name was Tamae, and he was the second son - the youngest of four siblings.  He was born in the Tokyo-fu prefecture, today known as the city of Tokyo.  His mother was descended from Iwaya Matsuhei, which he detailed in the NHK June program in 1994, “Raibaru Nihonshi,” in the episode titled “Gekitotsu!  Senden Daiou~Iwaya Matsuhei to Murai Kichibe.’  His maternal grandfather, Kajiwara Nakaji, was born in the Meiji era in the Yamagata prefecture Fukuramura.  He graduated from The University of Tokyo, and became a banker.  His mother’s sister became wed to the eldest son of Dr. Kishi Seiichi, Doctor of Law.  His paternal grandfather was a ship engineer, and attended school with Masaoka Shiki and Natsume Souseki.
Returning to Japan
Due to his father’s job transferring to Europe, Abe was raised in London, England, and Rome, Italy.  Because of World War II, the European branch of Nippon Yusen was evacuated, and his family returned to Japan in 1941.  They lived in Ikedayama (now Shinagawa ward, Higashigotanda), and Abe attended Morimura Gakuen Junior and Senior High School.
Abe’s father served as a civilian soldier in Shounantou (now Singapore).  Abe began to read his father’s book collection while he was deployed.  While still in National People’s School, he read the complete works of Shakespeare and Souseki, Plutarch’s Parallel Lives, and Meishou Genkouroku.  Azabu Elementary School, located in Minato-ku, called him a prodigy.
At the end of World War II, Abe moved to his grandmother’s vacation home in Atami.  Nitta Kyouichi, who managed the Shochiku Robins, lived in his neighborhood and taught him baseball.  When Abe was an adult, he was part of an amateur baseball team with the Andou clan.  He told his mother that he could quit being a yakuza clan member if he became a professional baseball player, which led to his mother bringing him back to Nitta.  Nitta introduced him to a junior member of Keio’s baseball team, who urged him to live a better life.
Time in Azabu Middle School
While at Azabu Middle School, Abe was classmates with former prime minister Hashimoto Ryuutarou.  Abe had planned to cheat off of a smart student during his entrance exam, and thought Hashimoto best for the role.  Years later, he met Hashimoto at a class reunion.  He felt a kinship with him, and they mutually promised to not inconvenience one another.  During Hashimoto’s time as prime minister, Abe was asked about the politics of the Liberal Democratic Party, and would often answer “Well, me and Ryuu-chan were classmates,” to defend them.  However, he clarified that this was actually a joke to highlight the absurdity that he was a former yakuza, a best-selling author, and Hashimoto’s classmate.
When Abe was in his second year of middle school, he submitted a sexually explicit story to a magazine supervised by Edogawa Ranpo.  Edogawa remarked that Abe’s mind was diseased, and he was sent to Kita-Kamakura Temple to copy sutras.  While in middle school, Abe became the protege of Abe Kingo, who was a top executive of the Andou clan.  Because of his association with the clan, he was not allowed to enter Azabu high school.
In 1952, Abe went to a summer festival, and fought with several stall-keepers.  This became an incident resulting in injury, due to Abe brandishing a kitchen carving knife.  His ashamed father forced him to study abroad in England, where he grew up, at a boarding school in Wimbledon.  While at school, he competed in a boxing tournament in South London, and was a welterweight champion.  Four months into his time at Wimbledon, he was caught naked with a foreign female student from Italy by a dormitory dean, and was expelled.  When he was sixteen, he worked as a cameraman and assistant in The Netherlands.  While there, he got into a fist fight with Robert Mitchum over a prostitute.
Time as an Andou Clan Member
When Abe returned to Japan, he entered Keio Senior High School.  He became the head of the boxing club at his school, but also became a member of a crime syndicate in earnest.  Sixteen students from Waseda University challenged him to a fight, and he severely injured three of them.  The school called this “a great disgrace” and Abe was expelled.
Abe attended six different high schools, including Kobe Suma High School, and Zushi Kaisei Senior High School.  He participated in a part-time curriculum while in the Andou clan.  When he was eighteen, he went to Isesaki, Yokohama to collect a debt.  There, he fought with an undocumented foreign broker, and was shot for the first time.
When Abe was nineteen, he attempted to collect a debt from a delinquent foreigner.  However, a bouncer fought back, and Abe stole his car and gun.  Because of this, Abe was charged with attempted murder during a robbery, and violation of the Swords and Firearms Control Law.  He was transferred from a juvenile reformatory school to Shiga prison, and sentenced to seven years of penal servitude, without stay of execution.  However, upon recommendation from Kon Hidemi, this was appealed.  Once this went to the appeals court, his charge of attempted murder during a robbery was changed to theft, and he was charged with unlawful possession of weapons.  His sentence was reduced to two years and six months with the possibility of parole.
After this, he was entrusted with protecting the head boss of the Chugoku syndicate, known as “The Iron Phantom.”  He fell in love with his boss’s daughter.  He also began to box under the name “Bloody Nao,” and won many matches overseas.  Abe served as a sparring partner to world champion Sandy Saddler, and played the role of a villain in fights in Hamburg.  Rikidouzan recommended that he quit the Andou clan and start wrestling, and offered to ask the Andou clan for help as an incentive.
The following may also have been during his time with the Andou clan:  In 1980, after Abe became a writer, he was interviewed by the Kodansha publication Hot-Dog PRESS.  He said that he competed in a .22 caliber shooting competition in France, and won.  A reporter from Le Monde asked, “You don’t have guns in Japan, so why are you so good at shooting?” to which Abe blurted out, “Because I’m yakuza.”  He was subsequently deported from France.
Time at JAL
In 1959, at the age of twenty-two, Abe graduated from his part-time curriculum.  He then entered the Tokyo YMCA International College of Hospitality.  In January 1961, at the age of twenty-three, he began working for JAL as a domestic and international flight attendant.  He eventually became a purser.  At one point, he hit a disruptive passenger.  This caused his criminal record (which included three crimes at the time) and yakuza associations to be exposed.   Though the Andou clan had dissolved in 1964, he was forced to leave JAL one month later in 1965.
Abe was a diligent purser.  On the other hand, he was quick to get emotional.  It was said that he stole his coworker’s girlfriend, punched his “arrogant” branch manager, and threw a passenger.  When he got to work, he removed his clan’s crest from his car and replaced it with his work badge.
While at JAL, he married his coworker, Endou Youko.  He met Fukada Yusuke, who was a part of the Public Relations department for JAL, and who would later become an author.  Abe was also a colleague of Fukada’s wife in the Flight Attendant Department.  Fukada thought that Abe was a typical refined returnee.  He realized he didn’t know him at all when Abe was forced to resign, and his yakuza ties were exposed.
Abe was dispatched to fight in the Hiroshima gang wars, which were from April 17, 1963 to August 25, 1967.  This conflict was depicted in “Battles Without Honor or Humanity: Police Tactics,” as an all-out war.  In reality, Abe had free time, and often amused himself by playing baseball.  Once, while playing in a commercial district, he hit a softball into the outfield stands of the Hiroshima Municipal Baseball Stadium.  Afterwards, the chairman of the shopping district told him to take the test to join the Hiroshima Carp.
Time as a Businessman
After leaving JAL in 1966, Abe served time in prison.  That same year, he became friends with Mishima Yukio at a boxing gym.  Mishima wrote an original script based on Abe’s time at JAL.  This was made into a movie called “Fukuzatsu’na Kare” by Daiei Film, starring Tamiya Jirou.  The character that Tamiya played was named “Miyagi Jouji.”  Once Abe debuted his writing career, he took inspiration from this, and used the pen name Abe Jouji, or Abe George.
After the Andou clan was dissolved, Abe worked as a recruiter for the Koganei clan in Shinjuku.  At the same time, his wife managed a restaurant called Sausalito, and Abe worked as a kickboxing commentator, a livehouse manager, a promoter, and a horse race forecaster.
From 1960 to 1970, Abe managed an Aoyama jazz club called Rob Roy.  He had his wife Endou manage the main building, and left the Akasaka, Roppongi, and Mita buildings to his mistress.  He bought a white Cadillac Fleetwood, a Doberman, and a 700-tsubo palatial residence in Ohtaku Unoki.  Both Sugano Kunihiko, and Yano Akiko (who was a high school student at the time) performed at Rob Roy.  Youko recalled this time in her story, “Aoyama ‘Rob Roy’ Monogatari,” and also made television appearances to promote it.
For a half year, starting in September, 1974, Abe served as the chief navigator for an artillery boat belonging to the Bolivian armed forces.  He was tasked with eliminating the revolutionary army.  Then, in 1975, he snuck into South Vietnam to obtain 25 kilograms of French-made methamphetamine at a low price, right before Saigon fell.  The meth was previously priced at fifteen million yen, and was highly coveted.
That same year, he was charged with unlawful possession of firearms, and possession of narcotics.  He was sentenced to four years at Fuchu Prison without the possibility of parole.  There, he met fellow prisoner Shirosaki Tsutomu, who was an activist with the Red Army Faction (later known as the Japanese Red Army).  Abe wrote that he was almost recruited by him before the hijacking of JAL flight 472.
In 1981, Abe left yakuza life.  He had a total of fourteen convictions in Japan, including assault, gambling, possession of narcotics, and sexual delinquency.  He also had three convictions outside of Japan.  He spent eight years in prison, both domestically and internationally.
Novelist and Media Personality
Abe started writing in 1983.  He initially could not find a publisher, but Yamamoto Natsuhiko recognized him as a literary talent.  He wrote “Shitsunai,” and a story that chronicled his times in prison, “Hei no Naka no Korinai Menmen.”  Abe frequently cited Yamamoto as his benefactor in future works.
In 1987, Abe finished writing “Hei no Naka no Korinai Menmen,” and it was published by Bungeishunju, Ltd.  It became a best-seller, and was adapted into a movie, cementing Abe’s status as a popular writer.  He became a regular on the documentary show “The Chase” on Fridays, which developed him as a media personality.  Abe revered Aoshima Yukio on “The Chase,” and supported him when he ran for the governor of Tokyo.
Abe had become a famous writer, but when the Japanese asset price bubble collapsed, he was left in debt.  He divorced his wife, Endou Youko, who received the majority of his assets and beloved Porsche in a settlement.  Abe reluctantly bought an inexpensive autozam revue, but after he was impressed by its functionality, commented on it in the automobile magazine NAVI.  A car dealer in Tokyo offered Abe a discount if he could get himself and his three costars to drive in the car he bought.  Abe said, “There’s no way we’ll get the four of us in that car, so maybe cardboard cut-outs would work.”
Abe also created manga, including 2005’s RAINBOW: Nisha Rokubou No Shichinin, which won the fifty-first Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.  He would often appear in advertisements for tobacco cessation products.  Although he would usually say, “I’m happy that I quit smoking,” Abe confessed that he didn’t actually quit smoking in his blog.
Abe always voted for the Japanese Communist Party, except for when he voted for the candidate from the Democratic Party of Japan in 2009, which he said he later regretted.  He typically supported the Japan Socialist Party, and the Japanese Communist Party.  He once witnessed Minobe Ryoukichi, then governor of Tokyo, eating at Hotel Okura, and got in an argument with him.
In the 2000’s, Abe got a computer, and occasionally browsed on 2chan and Wikipedia.  On September 2, 2019, he passed away due to acute pneumonia.
 Connections
Abe introduced some celebrity friends in the book “Ore ga Shibireta Otokotachi - Nihon Kaidanji Retsuden.” This included Andou Noboru, Ishihara Yuujirou, Izumi Soushou, Okawa Kosuke, Ohno Banboku, Kanehira Masaki, Kogane Mitsuyoshi, Koshida Toshinari, “Sad Sam” Ichinose (Manager of Dado Marino), Shimada Jou, George Kawaguchi, Takamoto Kimio, Hatakeyama Takanori, Hanamura Motoji, Piston Horiguchi, Mac Suzuki, Miyazawa Kuniaki, Murata Katsushi, Morita Masashi, Yamanote Shou, Yusa Yoshikuni, Watanabe Masato, and many more.  Other celebrities also are mentioned in his book, such as Kaihara Seihei, Iwata Yukio, and Moriwaki Masamitsu.
Abe felt an obligation to Nagata Masaichi, so when his son, Nagata Mamoru, became a TBS Radio director and producer, he often agreed to projects he wouldn’t otherwise.  Nagata had him do impressions of Uchida Yuki, Endou Kumiko, and Sharon Stone, and also had him compete alongside other performers on a dating website to see who would be most popular.
Abe and Umemiya Tatsuo would call each other “Tatsu-chan” and “George.”
Abe was a big fan of Ogata Nana, and had her appear in a manga of his.
Abe was a fan of the Hanshin Tigers, and when he saw Yoshida Yoshio play, he became a fan of him as well.  He also revealed in his blog that he was good friends with Aota Noboru.
Abe played amateur shogi as a hobby.  In 1989, he published a story in the Japan Shogi Association’s magazine, “Shogi Magazine,” titled “Maketemo Korinai Juuniban.”  When he defeated Ohyama Yasuharu, he cried without fearing what the public would think.  He wrote about this in “Totsugeki Shogi Juuniban Top Kishi to no Nimai Ochi Funsenki.”
He was known to greatly love cats.  He wore cat t-shirts often, which his clan boss found inappropriate.
He once went to a live comedy show and thought, “This guy will sell well!”  This turned out to be Fukawa Ryou.  The next year, he saw him on television, and said “See!?  He’s selling well!”
