More festival news! Headless episode 1 will be playing at Cinequest in San Jose on August 26th as a part of their Pilots & Webisodes shorts program. Some of the team are hoping to attend as well. Hope to see you there!

A very short fluffy kdrama about the length of a short movie made into webisodes. Nothing fancy, just a cute quirky in a need of a quick romcom kdrama type of deal. Both main leads have great chemistry together too making this a nice pleasant watch.

I’m supposed to be writing an essay for homework, but instead I’m writing this. My grades are flying towards the window.

Basically, a look into exactly how unfair Jackson Jekyll’s life is at Monster High - covering everything from discrimination and bullying to Ghouls Rule’s Clair and Chad.

This contains blatant favouritism, possible webisode and movie spoilers, stream-of-consciousness writing and delving far too deeply into a children’s cartoon. If you’re going to object to any of these, don’t go below the cut!

"Movie" #1,098 • TWO FOR TUESDAYS

Checked this out because I became aware of Mary Houlihan from her funny appearances on The Best Show. I appreciate the lo-fi/no-fi aesthetic, and I normally dig anti-humor stuff, but this didn’t work for me. I think they were going for a Tim and Eric style “people plucked off the street are now acting” vibe in terms of the cast. They were either the wrong people or the writing/scenarios weren’t suited for them (the moronic dude in the Lean In-skewering first episode was the only mildly successful bit). Oh well.

In other news, this begins a month-long “sky”-themed block of programming on TWO FOR TUESDAYS. I’ll be reviewing eight movies and/or shows with “sky” somewhere in the title every week here in September for some reason.
