“My son, Ao’nung and daughter, Tsireya, will teach you our ways”
“Father-“
“It is decided” Tonowari, Olo’eyktan of the Metkayina welcomed Jake and his family into Awa’atlu. They sought uturu, a sanctuary away from the war back in the forests. He granted them permission to stay, but the Tsahìk Ronal was not happy with his decision, she does not trust these outsiders, especially with how they are part human themselves.
“Come, I will show you our village” Tsireya helped with their bags and led them to an empty marui on the far side of the village. He was glad at least one of his children was hospitable, he would need words with his son later. He knows that Ao’nung takes after his aunts views on them, it is evident in the scowls and remarks he threw at them.
“Who were they? ‘Wari?” a small Metkayinan woman stood next to the man, snapping him out of his trance and placing a gentle hand on his back, urging him to look at her. When he turned his head down he was face to face with his mate, ___. He did not see her with the crowd when the Omaticayans arrived, ‘she must have been deep in the ocean again’, he mused.
“That is Toruk Makto and his family. They seek uturu” he cupped his wife’s face and have her a kiss on the forehead, hand going down to her pregnant stomach, rubbing soothing circles. She was a few months along and the bump was very prominent.
“Sanctuary? why?” the look that Tonowari gave her said everything, the skypeople were back on Pandora, she knew that and she knew the forest clans were heavily affected, she just did not expect them to come here, expecting them to fight back just as she heard 15 years ago. “I will go and greet them”
“Be careful, sister” Ronal walks up to them after calming down a few worried Na’vi, glare on her face “I do not trust them, the children inherited demon blood, hair on their face and extra fingers”. ___ simply nodded, not wanting to argue with her older sister, her Tsahìk, and simply watched her as she left to her marui.
Tumblr media
“I am ___, Tonowari’s mate” ___ introduced, her hands on her daughters shoulders and they smiled at the family, placing down a basket of freshly caught fish. The blue Na’vi did not look happy to be here, but they smiled back nonetheless. The little one, Tuktirey said her greetings out loud. It made ___ chuckle. “I am sorry if my sister, our Tsahìk, was too harsh on you all. She means well”
Neytiri huffed but nodded, she did not like Ronal after what she said about her children, therefore she did not know how to feel about the sister. Only time will tell. But for now it is best to keep up good impressions.
“Yes, thank you. I am sure she does” Jake nodded his head, hair bouncing on his shoulders. His arm was around his youngest, bringing her to his chest. She was tired from the long journey and yawned.
“We will leave you to settle in. There is no communal dinner tonight, but I have brought some fish your way. Come, Tsireya” They bid their goodbyes and walked back to their marui, speaking of the Omaticayans and what they would do to help them settle in more comfortingly.
“I will go diving with them tomorrow, show them our reefs” Tsireya bounced on the walkway, excited at the prospect of new friends, and hopefully a new lover. Her tail swayed at the thought of him, the boy. He was sweet even if they’ve only met today for a few mere moments.
“That is a good idea, and ‘Reya, I have noticed you staring at that boy, do you like him?” like mother like daughter, ___ read her mind. She saw the look on her child’s face when they were back with the forest Na’vi, watching at Toruk Makto’s youngest son, the one they call Lo’ak.
There was no point in lying to her Sa’nok, so Tsireya decided to say the truth. “He said ‘hey’ to me mama! You should have seen him!” ___ giggled, one word and she was already captured by him, like fish in a net.
“Who said ‘hey’ to you?” Tonowari was sat by the side of the pod, his legs dangling over the water as he sharpened his spear, preparing for an afternoon hunt. His ears perked up at the sounds of his girls walking into their home, watching the little flush his daughter had grow on her face.
Tsireya’s eyes widened “no one ma sempul” and she scurried out of the house, going to see what her brother was up to, hopefully nothing terrible.
___’s mate looked towards his wife, eyes questioning, hands stopping their ministrations. “Our daughter may have fallen for someone” the woman went to sit beside him, holding the underside of her full tummy, rubbing the skin and feeling larger hands atop hers.
Tonowari hummed, not liking the idea of his only daughter going off with some boy, he had a suspicion it was with Jake’s, seeing the way the boy looked at his kid. It was the same look he gave ___ when they were properly introduced for the first time. “I do not know how to feel about that. Tsireya is just a baby”
“She is thirteen my love, soon she will entertain the prospect of boys and relationships, and in the future a mate”
The Olo’eyktan’s shoulders and ears visibly drooped, a large sigh escaping his chest, his wife was right. “Where did the time go, flower? She was just a small bundle merely yesterday. Now she is a beautiful, strong, independent women”
“Our child has grown up, just like Ao’nung…do you remember when we were in the same situation?” ___ grinned, blue eyes shining at the memories of a teenage Tonowari trying to court her with pretty woven necklaces and bags of pearls he spent hours collecting in the reef. Trinkets she held very dear then, and still holds now, one of which is wrapped around her neck.
Tonowari leaned into his mate and pecked the bridge of her nose, smiling at her, hand coming up to hold the back of her neck, feeling the shells of her necklace digging into his fingers. “I will never forget the first time I saw you, really saw you. You looked so beautiful at the party, the Tulkun returned and you were in the waters singing with your spirit sister, I could not take my eyes off of you for hours”
“So she told me” ___ giggled, briefly remembering when her tulkun spoke of the boy watching her from the shores. “She said you were a creep”
“Did she now?” Tonowari’s forehead raised, eyes widening.
“And I agreed” he bellowed out a laugh, eyes crinkling at the sides. “You never left me alone after that, always accompanying me around the waters. Ronal said you asked of me all the time”
“Ronal is the equivalent of a sea snake”
___ gasped and slapped his shoulder, grin spreading across her pretty face “I am telling her you said that!”
“Kehe! Please do not! She would kill me” the man visibly shuddered. There is nothing more frightening than her older sister, who is so overly protective of ___. It took her forever to accept their relationship, afraid that he would take advantage and hurt her younger sister in some way.
___ smooched his mouth, cupping his face “do not worry ‘Wari, I will protect you”
“My strong warrior” he mused, about to give her another kiss when their children entered the marui, Ao’nung visibly shuddered at the sight of his parents being so lovey with each other, sticking his tongue out at them, Tsireya noticed and slapped his shoulder.
Tonowari straightened up, still needing to give him the talk, asking him to sit next to them. Ao’nung noticed his fathers serious demeanour and slowly crept next to his mother for protection. “Son, you will treat the Sully’s with respect, I have asked you to help them become Metkayina so I expect no quarrels. As future Olo’eyktan I need you to take this seriously”. The boy furiously nodded, not wanting to disappoint his father any further, “And I want you to watch over the youngest boy, I do not like how he has been eyeing your sister”
“Sempul!” Tsireya screeched from the other side of the hut, round cheeks turning a deep shade of purple, hiding behind the woven basket of fish she brought out.
___ held her swollen belly and laughed loudly, slowly getting up from her position over the edge of their home and walking towards her daughter, taking the fish and getting ready to cook dinner. “‘Wari, what did we just talk about earlier?”
“I know, flower. But I still do not like his staring!”
Ao’nung just shook his head and sighed, this was going to be a long night.

The Selene clan were well known among the other werewolf bloodlines. They were feared by most, and worshiped by more. Although, power can be an untrustworthy friend to have. Ricard Selene, one of the Elder's who had made a deal with a growing organization, thinking he would be protecting his clan. Only to be proven wrong one night.
As everyone had tried to save the young, running into the woods. Ricard made sure that Y/N was unable to follow her family. As much as she tried to bite and claw at him, he was stronger.
"This will be our new beginning little one." He told her with a smirk as he led her to one of the agents.
Y/N looked around in horror as a vast majority of her family were unfortunate, laying lifeless and scattered among the fields. Y/N tried to get away, but she was only a pup, she was unable to overpower them as they injected her with an unknown liquid, all she knew was that her entire body screamed as her blood felt like it was on fire.
"What was that?" Ricard questioned as the Agent smiled wickedly.
"Aconitine." He informed him as the two watched as Y/N writhed in pain.
"Wolfsbane." He stated as the agent nodded, signaling for another two to place her in a cage.
"This little one will help us create the ultimate weapon." He smirked as Y/N was loaded up into the van. Ricard followed them as he saw the bloodshed because of his actions. He knew at that moment, he would never be accepted back into the clan. He would be murdered brutally if he was found by any of his family.
Although he never realised that Y/N's father, Aaron was watching from the treeline. His youngest in his arms as he felt anger and pain as he watched his daughter get taken away like some rabid animal.
As the years went on, Y/N was experimented on, her blood drawn and studied. She was forced to train endless hours as she had a constant drip of aconitine running through her veins. When the night fell, she would be chained up and muzzled, as though the agents were afraid she would escape.
"Come on mut." An agent sneered as he slashed her arm, causing her to yelp out in pain. "Change." He ordered her. It had become a regular thing, the constant transformations would take its toll on her, especially with the constant injections and lack of nutrition. It was worse than death itself, although she woke everyday, hoping it would be her last. What she never knew was that one of her own family watched every day as she was tortured.
"So, you think this is another base like the Strucker base?" Tony questioned Steve as they all sat in the briefing room.
"Yes." Steve stated. "It is the second base that has been confirmed to take part in experimentation, but is even more heavily guarded than the Strucker base for some reason."
"Maybe it might be another infinity stone?" Thor questioned as Steve shook his head.
"We already found the mind stone in Loki's scepter." He pointed to Vision. "The space stone is off-world with the reality stone. The mind stone is with Dr Strange and the power stone is also off world and who knows where the soul stone is."
"So this base is kind of like Fort Knox." Tony stated. "We would be stupid to go there!"
"But we could be stopping something that could end the world." Natasha stated as everyone turned to her. "Maybe if we ask Fury for a team of agents to help take out the guards while we infiltrate the base, get whatever intel we can get our hands on and blow the place up."
"What if we find prisoners?" Wanda questioned as Tony huffed.
"Leave them behind and let them die." He told her.
"We can't do that!" Steve yelled as Tony scoffed.
"We don't need any more enhanced individuals running around here." Tony told them.
"You can't be serious." Steve scoffed. "They are still human, we can help them like we did with the twins." He gestured to Wanda who played with her fingers at the mention of her brother.
"You can't control their powers, Steve." Tony seethed.
"I don't need to control their powers, I just need to earn their trust and let them know that they are safe." Steve told him firmly.
"So it's settled, any prisoners we bring with us for Cho and Bruce to check out." Natasha spoke firmly, looking around the room and waiting for anyone to disagree, her eyes soon glaring holes in Tony's head.
"We leave at sundown." Steve told them before he left the room with an angry Tony on his tail. Natasha had requested backup for this mission, only getting a firm yes from Fury.
The start of the mission went as expected, many Hydra agents were ready for the attack on the base. The SHIELD agents helped in taking the enemy out and covering the Avengers as they infiltrated the base.
"I have the intel." Tony informed everyone as Nat and Steve had walked side by side, lines of cells were locked but most remained empty.
"We have a prisoner." Steve informed them as he opened the door as Nat entered the cell, her heart broke at the sight of the woman who had been strung up and muzzled.
"What's with the chains?" Nat questioned as Steve helped get her down.
"I wish I knew." Steve told her. "Get ready to catch her." Nat had done as she was told, holding her around her waist as she fell limp in her arms. She could feel her ribs very prominently as she was also extremely light. Steve had also removed the muzzle and picked her up in his arms. "We're on our way out. Bruce, we need you on standby." Steve spoke over comms as Nat covered him.
"Who do we have?" Bruce asked as soon as Steve placed the girl on the gurney.
"It's a female, but I can't quite tell how old. Must be in her 20s?" Steve told him as Bruce started to work on cleaning the wounds.
"We're 5 minutes from landing." Clint notified everyone as Bruce decided to have the girls help with making sure that the patient was secure for landing.
"We're going to need Wanda to look into her mind." Tony stated as they landed.
"No." Wanda shook her head as Steve gave Tony a disapproving look.
"We don't need to do that." Steve told him firmly. "When she is well and ready, then we can question her. Until then, she is off limits." Tony just scoffed as he headed towards his lab, leaving Bruce, Cho and Steve to head to the med bay.
"Do you think she has powers?" Wanda asked as the two entered the kitchen.
"I don't know but the way she was strapped up tells me that there may be a reason." Nat mumbled as she brewed the coffee. "I just don't know what." She turned to face Wanda. "She had a muzzle on, like the one from that vampire show you watch, the one with the two brothers and the doppelganger."
"The Vampire Diaries." Wanda stated excitedly making Nat chuckle. "Do you think she is a vampire?"
"Vampires don't exist." Nat told her with a smirk.
"You never know." Wanda shrugged. "We live in a world where I can move things with my mind, Steve and Bucky have super human strength. We have a God of Thunder who visits regularly, so really anything is possible."
"I doubt that vampires are real." Nat chuckled.
"What about Dracula?" Wanda questioned with a raised brow.
"He was a recluse." Nat told her. "He never showered because he was afraid of water. The reason he was claimed to be a vampire is because of the lack of vitamin D, so he lost the pigment in his skin and the light hurt his eyes. That's where all of the myths come from."
"But it could be." Wanda questioned again as Nat shrugged.
"Anything is possible I guess." She said as she handed Wanda a cup as she walked away with a smirk on her face, leaving an excited Wanda behind.
She made her way to the med bay, standing beside Steve as he looked through the window as Bruce and Cho worked on her.
"Any news?" Nat asked as he sighed.
"No, she is still unconscious, Bruce has taken a blood sample to do some blood work." He told her. "There are multiple scars on her body and her wounds are practically healed."
"She looks just a little older than Wanda." Nat stated as Steve looked at her. "The lines around the eyes." She told him as he nodded. "But why would Hydra have her? What does she have that they want?"
"There have been sightings of beasts running around some Hydra bases." Vision informed them.
"What kind of beasts?" Steve asked as he took the tablet from the synthezoid.
"They seem to be of the canine family." He informed them. "But they also seem to be looking for someone."
"Her." Nat stated as the two looked at her. "The last base they had infiltrated was only 300 miles away from the base we had just been to."
"So do you think she could be one of those beasts?" Steve questioned as she shrugged.
"Let's just see if she wakes up, we can ask her when she is better." She told the two.
"But what if she is a danger to us all?" Vision questioned as Nat shook her head.
"She won't be if we don't string her up like a fucking animal." She growled before Vision left the room.
"So you think we are all safe?" Steve asked her as she nodded.
"Yes." Nat nodded. "She has been a prisoner for who knows how long. If we treat her as one, then yes, she will likely turn. But if we treat her as an innocent, a casualty of war, we may earn her trust."
"I hope you're right about this Natasha." Steve told her before he left, Nat remained watching as the doctor's worked on her. It was a while until she was moved into another room before Bruce came out.
"How is she?" Nat asked him as he sighed.
"She is ok." He told her. "There was a lot of scar tissue and multiple lacerations, but nothing too major."
"Then why is she still out?" Nat questioned as he shrugged.
"I don't know. We did multiple scans and nothing." He told her. "I have her blood work to go over and I will tell you as soon as I have the results."
"Thanks Bruce." She smiled at him as he nodded before heading to his lab. Nat entered the room where she lay sleeping, Nat decided to sit in a chair and wait however long she needed to until Y/N woke up. Looking through the folder she had took from the synthezoid as the steady sound of Y/N's breathing filled the room.

The Wind and His Moon (Sanemi x Reader)
A/N: hello! Part 1 of an ongoing story I wanted to write as I procrastinate studying for the Bar. I posted an earlier Drabble of something from later in this series, but I wanted to get the beginning out now.
Sanemi is drawn to the reader from the start.
Massive CW: canon typical violence, graphic violence, gore, child death, and implied sexual assault. Swearing and later smut. MDNI.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Sanemi was there that day; the day she became part of the Corps.
The day her world had ended.
It had been fucking freezing that morning. The sky had been a muted gray as snow drifted down from the heavens in wet, fat flakes. The snow had started sometime the previous night, already having blanketed the village in its thick blanket.
The carnage, however, was fresh, and so the snow was not white.
It had only been an hour since the watery gray light of dawn had begun to bleed from the east, when his crow had swooped down over his head, tugging frantically at his hair. Rengoku ducked as his own crow collided with his head.
“Northeast! Northeast! Right at the base of the mountain! A horde of demons attacked the village!” They had cried.
Not just one. A horde. A horde of demons had descended upon a decently populated merchant village and had torn it and its people to shreds.
As he and Rengoku had furiously made their way towards the village (having learned that Tengen and Iguro were also en route), the crows screeched as much information as they could about the village and what had prompted the attack.
It had been her.
Or rather, her family.
The head of the village was a merchant known for his imports from the West; his success had meant the village was a success, with many small shops and tea houses lining the streets, always crowded with locals and tourists.
Demons have no use for money or exotic baubles; but Muzan Kibutsuji had a keen interest in obliterating Lunar Breathing from the world. And so he had.
The very same merchant whose business success had bolstered the local economy with his imports was also directly connected to the Clan that had created Lunar Breathing, the powerful, dark twin to Sun breathing. The merchant was the youngest and only living relative of the aging head of the Lunar Clan. The head of the Clan had never taken a wife after he had retired from life as a Pillar for the Corp some fifty years prior and had no heirs to continue on the family legacy. That burden, instead, was placed on the surviving eldest child of the Merchant in the village that the Flame and Wind Pillars now rushed to.
There had been an elder son, the crow panted, but he had passed a few years prior from illness. And so, the next surviving eldest had been tasked with the mission of becoming a demon slayer so that she could continue on the Lunar Breathing tradition. Her.
The crows did not know whether she had been present for the attack. Final Selection had only ended a few days prior, and it was entirely possible that she had either been killed on the Mountain, or was still making her way back to the village, unaware that no one would be there to greet her home.
The village had been eerily silent as Sanemi and Rengoku arrived. Dawn had given way to a dark gray sky, and visibility had not been ideal.
But it hadn’t taken much effort to see the blood and gore that littered the village’s once lively streets.
“What on earth,” Tengen’s voice broke the silence, as he and Iguro approached their comrades from the Eastern gate of the village. Behind them trailed a group of nearly thirty Kakushi. The Hashira silently took in the nightmare around them, unable to find the words for the level of destruction which had befallen the village just hours before.
“Kakushi. Spread out. Look for any survivors. They may be buried or hiding.” Rengoku’s voice was steady but uncharacteristically grave, his face stony and hard.
“Shinuzagawa, let’s make our way to the Lunar Merchant’s estate. We need to send word to the Clan head right away if-“
“You didn’t hear?” Iguro interjected, “the head of the Lunar House is dead.” Though the lower half of his face was covered, the anguish on Iguro’s face was evident. “That’s where Tengen and I just came from. He was ripped to shreds.”
“Fuck,” Sanemi hissed, a toxic mixture of anger, guilt, and despair roiling in his gut. An entire clan — and entire village— had been decimated in a matter of hours, and no one — they — had not been able to protect them.
“Have we word on the Lunar heir?” Rengoku asked quietly. Iguro and Tengen shook their heads. “Then she likely is lost, too.” The Flame Pillar turned back to Sanemi, his face a mirror of his own. “Let’s go.”
The snow and wind had picked up just as the Wind and Flame Pillars approached the Lunar Merchant’s Manor, obscuring some of the wreckage before them. Out of the corner of his eye, Sanemi thought he could see movement from the side of the Estate, but when he turned to examine it, all was still.
Before he could inquire further, Rengoku drew in a sharp breath, snapping Sanemi’s attention back to the Flame Pillar. But Rengoku was not looking at him; rather, he was staring straight ahead into the courtyard of the manor.
“Dear god,” Rengoku whispered.
Sanemi followed his gaze, through what had been once-proud iron gates, though only one side of the gate remained hinged. The other had been ripped from its stone setting, twisted by some unfathomable strength and thrown carelessly to the side. Just past the gate, Sanemi beheld a single, bloodied arm. But his stomach clenched at what lay beyond it.
There was not an inch of ground not covered in blood and bits of gore.
Body parts were strewn about, having clearly been ravaged by multiple demons. Broken glass and wood from the manor littered the ground, and the walls that were left standing had been showered in a thick coat of blood.
Most sickening were the pieces of bodies that were stuck to the sloped roofing of the Manor, as though some demon had plucked fleeing humans from the yard and feasted on them mid-air, allowing a shower of human entrails to paint the estate in gore.
A group of ten Kakushi had arrived at the Manor, gasping and crying out at the horror. Behind him, Sanemi heard one or two begin to retch, unable to stomach the carnage before them.
“Move!” Sanemi barked, his voice scratchy over the lump forming in his throat. “Fucking look for survivors! Anyone!”
Rengoku, a few paces ahead, called up to the crows circling over head. “Do you have a description of the heir?”
“She is around 16, Lord Rengoku!” It cawed back. Not helpful, given that most of the bodies here were unrecognizable.
Rengoku turned back to Sanemi. “I will check inside the house. You!” Rengoku called to a small group of three Kakushi nearby, “come with me!”
Sanemi continued to make his way through the debris and body parts outside, lifting stone and wood in hope that he might find someone — anyone — who had managed to hide.
He came across a large chunk of curved, chiseled stone that had become half-embedded into the soft ground below. Grunting, Sanemi heaved the rock aside, thinking it was perhaps some part of a fountain or statue.
But when he beheld what lay beneath, Sanemi’s stomach lurched. Crushed beneath the weight of the rock was the small body of a child, severed completely at the torso. Her two halves lay next to one another, a ragged seam torn between the two as though she had been pulled apart by force.
Sanemi felt the bile rise in his throat as his gaze fell upon the child’s face, utterly frozen in fear. Though death had snuffed any life that had once illuminated her eyes, it had not concealed the terror she had felt in her last moments, her mouth fixed in a scream.
She could not yet have been ten.
He could not help it. Sanemi turned away from the grisly sight and vomited into the snow, every inch of him trembling.
Sanemi wretched until his stomach was empty, and his throat burned from the acid and strain of his dry-heaving. With great effort, he forced his legs to carry him forward, any hope that they would find the Lunar Heir or any survivor growing dimmer by the second.
Even as Hashira, Sanemi doubted any of them had quite seen wreckage like this.
Sanemi neared the center of the courtyard, and halted before a large, circular stone inset that had been smashed to gravel. A large piece of rounded stone wall was all that remained standing.
Found the fountain, Sanemi thought bitterly. Another sharp, icy gust of wind whipped its way through the courtyard, disturbing the little bit of snow that wasn’t packed down with blood and gore. But the wind had also stirred up something else, something dark and wispy. Had the Wind Pillar’s lilac gaze been focused anywhere but that piece of stone fountain, he would have missed it softly fluttering up before disappearing beneath the lip of the fountain.
Sanemi moved to examine the other side of the broken stone. As he did so, Rengoku reappeared on the outer steps of the of the engawa surrounding the Manor, a frown etched deeply on his face.
“Shinazugawa, something is off. Demons were clearly here, but the house looks like it was ransacked— jewels, silks, valuables, all strewn about. Some things are clearly missing, like-“
“I found her.” Sanemi bit out, gruffly. “The heir.”
It was her hair, Sanemi realized, that had been disturbed by the wind, a few strands having drifted up before settling back down upon the bloodied shoulder of the lifeless girl collapsed before the fountain.
Had there not been a thick spread of red-stained snow and earth beneath her, Sanemi almost would have thought her to be asleep. Her face had been almost devoid of any injury, save for a few fresh scratches along her jaw and temple. Her eyes were closed, long dark lashes tickling a soft, and unblemished cheek, as pale and smooth as the Moon. Her expression was almost serene, in stark contrast to the chaos and horror around her.
The rest of her had not been left untouched. Sanemi noted that while she appeared to have maintained her limbs, her back was soaked in blood — no doubt the source of the large stain beneath her, and he saw that some of it still oozing from some sort of wound between her shoulders. Her the wrist on her left arm, stretched out before her, was bent at an unnatural angle, skin mottled from a mixture of the cold and an attempt to bruise before her blood had ceased flowing.
Beneath the torn and bloodied haori around her shoulders, were a pair of pants and a fitted, long sleeved top that had clearly seen better days. They hosted various tears and stains, and were caked in blood and what looked like mud.
The crows had said the Lunar Heir was around 16 years of age, but as Sanemi stared at her lifeless form, all he could think about was how small she looked; how young she had been, when she lost her life to the brutality of demons.
The thought made his blood run cold.
“No doubt this is her,” Rengoku said heavily, nodding at wounds Sanemi had not noticed on her hands. Squinting, Sanemi saw bruises and cuts in various stages of healing dotting her knuckles and fingers. He suspected more lay beneath her soiled clothing, though Sanemi ventured he could guess where they had come from.
“Final selection wounds,” Rengoku confirmed. “She must have just returned from the mountain when the attack began. Perhaps she even stumbled into the middle of it.” Rengoku shook his head. “She didn’t stand a chance.”
It was well known that even if one survived final selection, it was unlikely they would descend the mountain without injury. Seven nights with no access to shelter, food, or water was tough enough, but the added danger of starving demons almost guaranteed that one would not emerge unscathed.
She must have been injured, enough to slow her return home by a few days. Even if she had the skill to hold her own against the swarm of demons that had attacked her village, whatever injuries she sustained during final selection had likely sealed her fate.
Sanemi swore, looking over the last of the Lunar Breathing Clan, feeling the acrid bite of guilt and pity seep into his veins. The poor girl had survived the controlled horrors of final selection only to meet an even more grisly end at her home — where she was supposed to be safe. It was cruel, but so was a world in which demons lived, unchecked.
“She will get a Slayer’s burial, in the Master’s garden.” Rengoku declared firmly, raising his voice so the nearby Kakushi would hear. “She passed final selection; she’s one of us.”
“No,” Sanemi said, voice hoarse. “Bury her here with her family.” Sanemi’s eyes returned to the girl’s face, an inexplicable bitterness coating his tongue. “She fought to return to them; let her be with them.”
Sanemi lifted his eyes back up to the crimson gaze of the Fire Pillar. Rengoku stared at him for a long moment, before nodding, turning back to the Kakushi. “You heard Shinazugawa. Let’s give them a proper burial.”
The Kakushi began to move, thorough and efficient even among the horror around them. Sanemi readied himself to assist, moving to stand when his eyes snagged on the girl’s torso, his gaze drawn to the sizeable swath of smooth skin that was exposed to the icy bite of the snow. Sanemi’s frown deepened as he took note of the odd way that her clothes sat around her exposed abdomen. The girl was half laid on her side, but the front of her shirt had been bunched and twisted together, like it had been gathered and shoved out of the way. Sanemi’s eyes lowered a fraction to the front of the girl’s pants. At first glance, they seemed to be fitted around her hips normally, but that was precisely what caught his eye. The waistband on the girl’s pants slotted across her lower hips, not higher up on her waist as it should have been. One side was noticeably lower than the other, almost as though they had nearly been tugged off.
Almost as if-
Sanemi felt the hairs on his body rise. Looking over the girl once more, he noticed the suspicious lack of claw marks and bite marks to her body. The way that she seemed intact, compared to the bodies of her friends and family scattered in pieces around her.
The way that her blood seemed even more fresh than what caked the snow around them, as though she had been attacked right before they had arrived to the manor.
“Rengoku,” Sanemi said sharply. The Flame Hashira was back over to where the girl laid in an instant, though he maintained a respectful distance.
Sanemi jutted his chin toward the girl’s body and Rengoku followed his gaze. Sanemi could see the gears turning in his comrade’s head, as he too took note of the odd skew of her clothes, the lack of demon-like injuries despite her having stumbled onto a veritable feast on her family.
“How many demons do you know that try to-,” Sanemi ground his teeth at the word that came to mind, his blood beginning to boil and rage. “Have their way with victims before eating them?”
“Not many,” Rengoku conceded darkly, a similar anger simmering in his eyes. “Though not unheard of. It is… rare. Most can’t resist their hunger.” Rengoku fell silent, thinking for a moment.
“Didn’t you say the house had looked ransacked?” Sanemi turned his gaze away from the girl and towards the broken doors of the manor.
Rengoku’s eyes widened. “Yes. As if someone came in and grabbed anything they could.”
Sanemi nodded. “Bandits. Probably heard about the attack and got excited to loot. Found a body that wasn’t completely torn apart by demons and tried to take advantage.” Rather than bile, Sanemi felt anger, hot and lethal, threatening to spill out of him. He loathed men who sought to abuse women, but a girl who had just been attacked by a demon? There was no mercy he could give them.
Rengoku exhaled sharply through his nose, a weariness clouding over his features. “Though I don’t suppose we can really know for sure. There isn’t enough left of anyone else to compare.”
Rengoku clasped his hands in front of himself, and closed his eyes. Sanemi heard him mutter a small prayer for the girl’s soul, one that he had heard from Himejima.
“Whatever happened to her, she’s gone now. Let us ensure she can rest.” And with that, Rengoku turned to head back to where the Kakushi had begun digging graves for the deceased.
Sanemi watched the spot where the girl’s body had lain long after a pair of Kakushi had gently removed her to ready her for her burial. Sanemi watched with hollow eyes and a hollow heart as the Kakushi — female — tenderly brushed the girl’s hair from her face and straightened her haori. They crossed her arms over her middle and lifted her gingerly, carrying her over to join her family’s remains.
Hers was the last of the graves to be prepared. The Kakushi were just beginning to pack the mud and snow over her body, when one of them collapsed from exhaustion both physical and mental. The group had resolved to take a small water break before finishing, and neither Shinazugawa not Rengoku had objected.
After all, digging eighteen graves was no easy task.
Both Hashira had assisted, and their combined strength and stamina had streamlined the task considerably. While Kakushi rested, Rengoku had gone to the front gates to update Tengen and Iguro, who had been dealing with the wreckage within the village. Reinforcements of both Kakushi and lower rank slayers had been called in to assist with the clean up and burial.
In total, over sixty-three graves had been dug.
And not a single survivor had been found.
It was a heavy day — perhaps one of the darkest in the Corp’s history, and its crowning poisoned jewel was the eradication of one of the oldest breathing styles.
The news that there was one less defense against the demons was not a welcome one.
Sanemi had gone to the other side of the courtyard, away from the voices and graves and rising stink of death. Out of sight from any prying eyes, he found a tree and shoved his fist through it, clear to the other side. Pieces of bark and wood flew and splinters bit into the skin around his knuckles and palm. Sanemi could not find it in himself to care; he sought only to break through the silent numbness threatening to consume him.
Because he had taken refuge on the other side of the courtyard, away from the new gravesite, Sanemi did not see the hand and arm that shoved through the pile of earth resting atop the last grave. He did not see clawed fingers sinking into the mud and snow, desperately seeking purchase as the body attached to the arm hauled itself — herself — from beneath the earth, the remnants of her grave skittering to the side as she heaved her body out.
Sanemi did hear the terrified shriek of the Kakushi, and immediately drew his sword. In the distance, he could see Rengoku racing towards them, hand on the hilt of his blade.
Sanemi came into view of the gravesite right as the girl spilled out from the hole in the ground, using her bare hands to pull herself forward as the rest of her body remained limp.
Sanemi Shinazugawa was not a pious man; in fact, he frequently ignored Himejima’s prayers. If there were any gods out there, then Sanemi wanted nothing to do with them. They chose to let chaos and devastation run rampant. They chose to let demons exists.
But hell had apparently frozen over, and Sanemi found himself offering a prayer for the girl’s forgiveness as he prepared to behead her demonized form. He hoped she would understand; after all, she had joined the Corps intending to rid of the world of demons.
It was what he hoped one his his fellow Hashira would do for him, if he ever found himself in that situation.
As Sanemi cocked his blade, ready to strike the crawling demon from behind, Rengoku cried out.
“Shinazugawa, NO!”
Sanemi stuttered, his arm in mid-swing as he neared the demon’s neck. A flash of violet and white shot towards him, and a piercing shriek of metal tore through the sky as Tengen’s blade parried Sanemi’s, the force of the clash knocking him out of the air. A frustrated grunt tore from his chest, and with great effort, Sanemi twisted mid-air to avoid falling flat on his ass, managing just in time to swiftly land on the balls of his feet.
“What the fuck,-“ Sanemi had begun to growl, but his voice faltered at the look on the Flame Hashira’s face as he gawked at the girl sprawled on the ground.
In that moment, Sanemi’s sharp ears picked up on the weak heart beating rapidly and unevenly below him. At the same time, he caught a whiff of fresh blood, rising from the dark stain on the girl’s back. No doubt the product of a re-opened wound.
Ears ringing, Sanemi stalked around to where Rengoku and Tengen both stared unabashedly at the sight below them. Only when he was face to face with her did Sanemi finally understand what had caused Rengoku to desperately move to stop Sanemi sword from hitting its mark.
The three Hashira were not looking at a newly turned and bloodthirsty demon, but at a sweaty, pale, and trembling girl. The girl whose death they had feared doomed the Lunar Pillar House had just clawed her way out from her grave with nothing but her hands and sheer will.
She had not been dead, after all.
Slowly, so slowly, her eyes lifted to glare up at the person standing directly before her. Though she clearly strained to raise her head more than half an inch, her silver eyes met Sanemi’s lilac ones, and goosebumps erupted all over his skin as he beheld what lay within them.
Defiance. Pain. Rage.
So, so much rage, relentless and raw.
And so, so human.
She reached another trembling hand out before her to further drag herself away from her tomb. A thin sheen of sweat coated her pallid skin, and fresh blood was beginning to stain the snow beneath her.
She was panting, clearly fighting every urge in her body to give in, to let death beckon her back into its sweet embrace.
“I-I’m not d-dead!” She grit out in between shallow, uneven breaths, her jaw clenched so tightly that Sanemi wondered how her teeth didn’t crumble.
The three Hashira remained dumb and silent for half a heartbeat before-
“WHAT ARE YOU ALL STANDING THERE FOR? HELP HER!” Tengen bellowed, startling birds in nearby trees into flight.
The Kakushi sputtered into action, several of them moving to assist the girl, to help her when she exploded.
“DON’T TOUCH ME.” She screamed, eyes screwed shut and head bowed defensively over her hands as she clenched her fists into the earth. When she finally opened her eyes again, her gaze clashed with Sanemi, and his heart tightened as he recognized the emotion threatening to overcome her.
Fear.
Whatever this girl had experienced over the last few hours had overtaken all other senses. She had no logic, no ability to rationalize that she was among other humans, among comrades. Instead, all that drove her now was the primal instinct to survive.
And to her, they were another threat.
The girl continued to try and crawl away from them, but her movements became even more shaky, more uneven as the blood loss combined with her physical exhaustion. Rengoku caught both Sanemi’s and Tengen’s eyes, waiting to confirm their next move. All nodded, and Sanemi, having the advantage of being in the girl’s blind spot, struck the pressure point on the girl’s neck with his his hand.
She collapsed against the ground, unconscious and still. Gingerly, Sanemi lifted her into his arms, mindful of the open wound on her back, and of her head.
Once she was secured, the Hashira began their frantic sprint towards the Butterfly Mansion.

A Dragons beauty

Barbarian Bakugou x reader
description: King Endeavour Enji Todoroki has recently traded his youngest daughter Kya to end the almost five year war with the Villianous group lead by a man known as shigaraki. It was agreed that Mitsuki, leader of the Dragon-Blood clan and Endeavours children would wed to join their forces to help defeat Shigarakis clan, a long war which neither were winning nor could continue fighting. Kya was Endeavours youngest child and what he believes to be a failure; all his children were healthy and strong, you however were weak when you were born, small and frail and the picture of your mother who died birthing you. it was a miracle you made it but you had been a bother ever since. when the opportunity arose for him to get rid of you he didn't hesitate, you'd hardly survive anyways in the Dragon-blood clan out in the mountains.
Content warning: forced/arranged marriage, war talk, physical+mental abuse, dysfunctional family, slight age gap (p.s. changed the ages of the todoroki siblings to fit in more with the time period)

༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄
"Kya, your father has requested your presence in his study" Your maid Hana informed. you got up from were you lay in the grass out in the courtyard. A small leather backed book lay in front of you, banded by twine as you looked up from your sketch. You nodded to your maid and got up, dusting the grass off you and picking your sketch book up.
You wandered through the stone halls humming to yourself. You reached your fathers study, knocking on the large oak doors softly. You could feel your stomach twist with growing nerves, it was never ever good when father called you into his study. His gruff voice beckoned you in and you pushed the for open, struggling slightly. You slipped in moving to stand in front of his desk as you bowed your head and straightened back up to see he hasn't even looked at you, still focused on his papers in front of him.
"You called for me father?" You mumbled softly, rubbing the leather book.
"I did, You are to be wed tomorrow morning to Mitsuki Bakugou son Katsuki so we can join forces and hopefully end the war soon" He didn't even glance at you as he dropped the information. Your heart stopped eyes now wide with shock as you opened your mouth.
"W-what? Father what do you mean" You asked, stepping forward. He finally decided to spare you a glance and only tsked at your distraught face.
"You know I do not like repeating myself Kya. The war needs to end and an agreement was made; you will marry Katsuki Bakugou, heir to the Dragon-blood clan so we can bring peace quicker to our people and so no more of our people will have to die" he explained and your chest tightened, your throat closing over as tears welled in your eyes.
"Kya! Do not start. You have a duty to your people and you will marry him its the least you can do being the embarrassment you are to our family" He snapped, standing up from his desk and slamming his palm onto it. You sniffled and turned around, running out of his study and to your chambers.
You threw yourself on your bed, grabbing your old tattered teddy bear and pulling it into your chest, tears rolling down your cheeks as you sobbed into it. You didn't want to marry some savage and be forced to leave your family, even though your father was horrible to you; your siblings treated you with love. You sniffled, wiping your eyes trying to rid the tears but more kept coming. You got up and went to your door, opening it and stepping out as you sniffled and walked down the hall to Fuyumis room. You knocked softly, still sniffling as more fat tears continued down your cheeks.
Fuyumi opened the door with a smile recognising her sisters knock only to be shocked to see your red blotchy face look up at her with teary eyes. Fuyumi immediately pulled her inside and grabbed her arms around her younger sister.
"Kya! tell me what's wrong?" She whispered as she pulled you over to her bed and sat down pulling you down beside her and wrapping her arm around your shoulder.
"Fuyumi! F-Father is ma-making me marry B-Bakugou Katsuki!" You cried through hiccups and sniffles. Fuyumi gasped at the news and pulled you closer. She couldn't believe her father.
"Kya, where did you hear this?" Fuyumi asked, grabbing both your shoulders and turning you to her. You sniffled and hiccuped, trying desperately to form a sentence.
"H-He did! he sa-said I'm getting mar-married tomorrow morning" You cried harder, your chest tight as you gasped and grabbed your dress, bunching it up in your fists. Fuyumi was shocked, unable to form any words of comfort. She pulled your into her as you sobbed into her shoulder. Her hands came to rub your back and shush you, whispering it was 'okay, everything was okay'
You eventually passed out from exhaustion. She carefully positioned you to lay on her bed, pulling her quilt over you as you hiccuped in your sleep. Fuyumi got up, leaving her room as she headed down to the outer courtyard to find her brothers and discuss this mess their father had started. She found her brothers there, practicing their swordsmanship.
"Natsu! Shoto! Father is marrying Kya off to the Dragon-Blood clan" She yelled and both brothers froze, swords dropping as they turned to their sister. Natsu eyes were wide but Photos were narrowed and angry.
"what?!" they both snapped simultaneously as they walked up to her.
"Kya just came to me sobbing saying Father is marrying her off to Katsuki Bakugou of the Dragon-Blood clan" she told them. Shotos face just twisted further with anger as Natsu couldn't believe what he was hearing. They all stared at each other briefly before Shoto turned and pushed by Fuyumi, heading to their fathers direction. The other two siblings quickly followed, running down the cobble halls after their brother.
"Your trading Kya?!" Shoto yelled as he found his father speaking with one of his constables. Endeavours head snapped, face already bunched with anger as he glared at his second youngest. He quickly turned back to his constable and excused him.
"Shoto! don't you dare raise your voice to me like that" He snapped, pupils narrowing into slits as he glared at his son who marched towards him.
"Your trading Kya!? to the Dragon-Blood clan! how can you?" Shoto roared, Natsu and Fuyumi finally caught up, standing and watching the two fight with one another.
"Yes I am and its to end this war! to bring your brother Touya home!" Endeavour shouted, face red as Shoto paused hinking of his brother who was at war; the brother he hasn't seen for almost four years.
"so we lose a sibling to gain another?! You're sick, first our mother and now Kya, you can't just get rid of her because she's like mother I won't allow it!" Shoto growled, stepping forward and shoving his father who stepped back slightly from the unexpected force. Endeavour felt anger swell in his chest as he whipped his hand back and slapped his son.
Fuyumi and Natsu rushed forward pulling Shoto back. Natsu stepping between them as Fuyumi held her brothers face. Shoto pushed her away and met his fathers piercing glare.
"Kya will be wed tomorrow and nothing will stop it. You can either attend and see your sister off or I will have all three of you locked up until she's wed and gone" He growled, glancing at his children and scoffed before walking away. Shoto tried to run after him but Natsu and Fuyumi grabbed him holding him back as he felt tears prick his eyes, chest heaving.
"what will we do Natsu?" Fuyumi turned to her other brother, eyes teary too as they realised they really couldnt do anything to save their sister. Natsu sighed, rubbing his eyes as he looked to his sister unsure of how to comfort her.
“Where is kya?” Shoto asked, still staring off in the direction their father left in. Fuyumi told Shoto that Kya was in his bedroom and all three siblings left to see you.

New faces and new friends
tonowari family x reader + sully family and clan
Tumblr media
Many years had come, and the youngest child of Tonowari and Ronal was no longer a small child. As she had grown over into a beautiful teenager, who made the sea her home and found many great things over the years. Even though she was the only one who was like her, she had learned to accept that and welcome that she was different from the rest.
y/n " ........." you were at the tide pools today along with some members of the clan, it was a beautiful day for the awa'atlu village and everything seems to be peaceful at the moment. As you were looking at one of the tide pools you soon heard a ikran call, but those were creatures that belong to the forest and wouldn't be out here that far. As you had looked up to see a whole heard of ikrans flying towards the village, of the riders of the ikran had let out a call.
y/n " it seems like we have guest" you along with many others by the tide pools had soon raced to see what was the matter, you had leap into the water calling your ikran and heading home to see what was the matter.
y/n " something else tragic most of happen at the forest for all these forest navi and ikran to be here" It seems like many others were heading back to the village as well, to see what was happening with the group that arrived. There was a group gather on the beach as everyone was looking at the forest navi.
y/n " wow they seem interesting" you had gotten off your IIu and soon made you way through the crowd, some of navi made way for you as others seem to be force on the new comers.
y/n " hey some of them look just like me they have five fingers and eyebrows as well, and a few of them are wearing the sky people clothes" you were looking at the new comers as the new comers were looking around, one of them a little girl had saw you as she was standing by her family. She had waved to you and smiled and you soon smiled at her.
???? " stay calm everyone we don't wish to cause any trouble, tsu'tey make sure the group knows we don't do anything to set them off"
???? " yes brother" soon your father call had been heard as everyone looked up to see him, and two other warriors return to the village on their creatures. The forest navi had soon ducked when your father flew over them.
????? " tonowari i see you" your father soon landed on the water and soon walked over to the guests that had arrived.
tonowari " I see you toruk makto" toruk makto was someone you learn about from your parents and trader, he was once sky people but left his old people and helped fight against them. You had a feeling not all sky people were evil and that some of them are good.
y/n " ........" you had not been able to see anymore as the warriors were surrounding the new comers, so you went to find a better spot and found one. You had seen your siblings standing near the children of toruk makto and his mate, but they had yet to see you.
y/n " I wondering what mother going to have to say about this" just like that your mother had made you way as everyone got out of her way.
Jake " I see you ronal" Jake was soon followed by everyone in his family and around him.
mo'at " hello tonowari and ronal it been a long time"
ronal " yes it has"
tonowari " why have you all come here it rarely to see many of you forest navi come here at once"
Jake " my family and clan that were able to come here have come here, to seek uturu"
ronal " uturu"
Jake " yes refugee for my family and our clan members"
tonowari " you are all forest people we are reef people, your skills will be useless here"
Jake " we can learn right everyone we can learn and adapt"
sully family and others " yes"
tonowari " we want no part of your war"
Jake " we are done with war we just want help for our families for while"
ronal " some of you are clear sky people in navi body why should we help you" ronal was looking at the sully family and some of their friends that are with them.
Jake " we all mean you no harm"
neytiri " my husband was once toruk mako he untied all the clan together to fight against the sky demons"
ronal " their arms are to thin and tails are to weak" your mother was checking over the sully children, when she noticed they had five fingers like you but she said nothing.
ronal " well it seems like you have lost this battle" ronal and neytiri had gotten into a small hissing match.
Jake " forgive my mate we are all tried from the travel"
neytiri " jake" neytiri had walked away from Jake mad about his words, as your parents were looking at each other decide on allow them to stay or not.
tonowari " my brothers and sisters Jake sully and his family along with their clan will be staying with us, treat them as our brothers an sisters so they will learn they way and prove they are not useless"
Jake " thank you family what do we say"
sully family " thank you" you are very happy about the news about the omatacayia clan being able to stay here and learn the ways, and they seem like very nice people.
tonowari "my children will help you learn our ways" it seems like everything was agreed on, and it seems like the village will be getting use to their new guest.
tsireya " come with me and I will show you all around our village"
y/n " reya" tsireya soon saw you and smiled when she saw her younger sister.
tsireya " y/n it good you are here did you see what happened"

tsireya " the one on the right will be the house of the sully and left one is for tsu'tey and his family"
Jake " thank you see everyone it no that bad after all we can make this work, and it big enough for us all we can make this our new home" neytiri had sighed and soon dropped the rug she was holding getting everyone attention.
lo'ak " thank you for helping us" It sunset had come as the kids had helped the sully family and the clan with a few more things, and learning about the village as well.
tsireya " you are welcome and stating tomorrow me and my siblings will be helping you learn the ways"

trsireya " mom"
y/n " mom give them a chance is anything bad happens then I will help from afar please mom" ronal was looking at her children and soon her mate, she was very protective of her family she soon sighed.

Neteyam x avatar!reader
genre: fluff?
warnings: a bit of swearing
summary: on your fifteen birthday, your "guardians" give you an unexpected gift you could only dream of and you can't wait to see the reaction of your Na'vi friends
part 2 part 3
i'm new to this thing lol but felt the need to write smth abt our sweetheart Neteyam :)
Living with a ball of chaos and loads of energy requires a bunch of patience and tolerance you, unfortunately, lost after all the years of room-sharing. Spider is an overwhelming boy when it comes to your opinion. He is fond of adventure and tends to drag you along to his trips to visit the Omatikaya clan, specifically, the Sully family, although you may not feel like traveling. You are familiar with the children of Toruk Makto and would consider them as your friends. You are the same age as their youngest son, Lo'ak, who you built a strong bond with. The two of you bring trouble wherever you go and are known for pulling some sort of pranks on the Na'vi people. Since Neytiri isn't a fan of the human kind, you aren't supposed to hang around her children everyday, but to her dismay, they adore you and Spider.
Some more than others.
"I swear to Eywa-" you stumble over a threshold for the second time that afternoon and groan. Norm chuckles, his hands covering your burning eyes, and takes a turn, witnessing your shoulders tense up at the sudden change of route. "What is this torture for?"
"We have a surprise for you," you huff and place your hands on his, ready to pull them away. You aren't planning on celebrating your birthday, not at the moment. "No, no," Norm abruptly stops in his tracks, making you stumble backwards. "It's your birthday and we want to celebrate."
"I don't," you state with a grunt and let your arms fall to your sides.
"Come on, Y/n," Norm begins to walk once again, pushing you forward. You shove your hands in the pockets of your zipper hoodie and allow the scientist to lead you, growing irritated. "It's your day! Have some fun."
You exhale deeply when he positions you in front of your gift and taps your closed eyelids gently. "Okay," he glances around the room to see if everybody else is ready to reveal the big surprise and when he receives multiple nods, he pulls his hands away from your face.
Your eyes flutter open, the shining light above your aching head making them squint right away. "Happy birthday!" you scan the room and the chanting people, scoffing.
Kiri is standing beside a smirking Spider, who washed his blue strips down for the occasion, with Tuk in her arms. The small Na'vi is holding a beautiful blooming flower she probably plucked on the way and flashes a toothy grin your way. "Oh my gosh," you shake your head in embarrassment, cheeks flushed.
"Happy birthday, kid," Max approaches you from behind and places his hands on your shoulders, squeezing them lightly. You turn around, ready to show him your disapproving look, but notice that the incubator beside Grace's avatar is filled with a clear blue liquid and narrow your eyes.
You walk towards the sleeping creature with curiosity and a smiling Max following. The frown on your face disappears within seconds after you realize what lies inside the container. You glance over your shoulder at Max, searching for a slight hint of assurance which he gives you with a quick nod. You place your hands on the glass and watch the avatar twitch. The two of you share similar face features along with a thin pair of eyebrows. It is your avatar. Tears form in the corners of your eyes as you circle around the incubator, studying the appearance of it carefully; sharp cheekbones, flat nose, narrow waist, a slim tail and the beautiful shade of blue.
"What is this?" you face the group of your friends and family, tears running down your cheeks which you are quick to wipe away with the sleeves of your hoodie.
"Your birthday gift," Norm gestures to the avatar with a wide smile on his lips, making you snicker.
"You're gonna look like us!" Tuk is placed on the ground by Kiri and rushes towards you, engulfing you in a hug. She might be way younger than you, but her height is beyond her years. You return the embrace and caress her back with a chuckle. "I can't wait for Neteyam and Lo'ak to see!"
She pulls away and extends her hand with the bright blue flower for you to accept, which you do with a sweet thank you. "They don't know about this?" you ask, shooting a questioning look at Kiri who shakes her head. "Not even Lo'ak?"
"No," Kiri approaches you and her younger sister with a smirk, crossing her arms over her chest as soon as she stops in front of you and leans on the incubator. "We didn't want to have two drooling skxawngs [idiots] here." you smack her forearm, sending her a glare. She brings her hands up as in surrender, her smile growing.
"Wanna take it for a run?" you glance behind Kiri and make eye contact with Norm, raising your eyebrows.
"Please, please!" Tuk tugs at your arm, the excitement reaching her round eyes.
"Sure," you hand Kiri the flower for the time being and turn to Max. "Which link unit is it, doc?"
----
"Woah!" you balance on your tiptoes behind Kiri who insisted that you travel to their new home through treetops with Spider keeping an eye on your clumsy feet and her younger sister encouraging you. Spider quickly finds a tight grip on your waist and with all his strength pulls you away from the edge of the branch. Your hands unintentionally land on his as you shudder.
"God," the boy sighs with relief and whistles at Kiri, who stops in her tracks, Tuk bumping into her legs. "Since when did you forget how to walk?"
You roll your eyes as you push his hands away and catch up to the Na'vi girls. "It's difficult, okay?"
"What is?" Tuk inquires and tilts her head, her short braids moving with the movement. Your blue-skinned face begins to darken in specific areas, giving away your embarrassment.
"She keeps tripping over her tail," Spider answers for you and earns a gentle slap on the back of his head from you. "Hey!" he massages the targeted spot and glares at your avatar.
"That's not true," you cross your arms and lean on your right leg with a huff. "I'm getting distracted by the flora."
"Then don't," as you're opening your mouth to argue with the boy, a conversation full of bickering can be heard in the distance, alerting the oldest in your group. Tuk wraps her arms around your thigh and begins to scan your surroundings for the source. You place your hand on top of her head and pull her even closer as Kiri looks around with narrowed eyes. Spider walks in front of you and Tuk, serving as a shield for you two when the rustling of leaves inches closer to you.
"That's not true!" A quite tall figure reveals itself with a slightly taller one trailing behind it. Their dark blue skin glowing underneath the afternoon sun along with their white teeth.
Kiri sighs in relief and rolls her eyes at her siblings. "Lo'ak, Neteyam," both smiling boys lock their gaze on the speaking Na'vi, wide-eyed. Their sister crosses her arms and leans on her left leg, tapping her biceps with her fingertips.
"Kiri," Lo'ak greets the blue-skinned girl with a grin and skips towards her, unaware of your presence because of her height. Tuk releases your leg and approaches her sister with curiosity flashing in her eyes. "Tuk?" The youngest son stops, noticing the awkward silence and raises one of his eyebrows. "What is going on here?"
"Aren't you supposed to be training?" Tuk questions her brothers, copying Kiri's stance.
"It ended like an hour ago," Lo'ak shrugs his shoulders and glances over one of them to send a cheeky grin to his brother who is dumbstruck in his spot on the branch. "Neteyam?"
His older brother fixes his posture and clears his throat. "Y/n?" you wince when your name leaves his lips, uncertainty sounding through his usual confidence. You step out of your hiding place and scratch the back of your neck, chuckling softly. "Is that really you?"
"Haha, yeah," you wave awkwardly at the boy as he approaches you with amazement and shock. "Hello.."
"What the fuck?" Lo'ak jogs towards you, past Neteyam, and grasps your wide shoulders. He studies your appearance, from head to toe, and begins to smile. "No way! You're blue!" he chuckles and shakes you. "You're actually blue!" You giggle at his reaction and place your five-digit hands on his, his grin growing even bigger. "You're officially my twin." you shake your head at that and give his chest a playful push.
Neteyam appears beside his brother, his eyes taking in your new body while yours settle on his serious face. His hand brushes itself against your temple, trying to figure out if you're actually real and not a creation of his imagination. The corners of his lips curve upwards when you wrap your fingers around his wrist and keep them secure there. He takes a notice of the sun lilly behind your pointed ear and the darker shade of blue on the bridge of your flat nose and cheeks.
"I think I'm gonna be sick," Spider pretends to gag by your right, sticking his tongue out. You roll your eyes at the human boy and smack his shoulder quite harshly, earning a hiss of pain from him. "Hey!"
"Ups," you chuckle and wave your hand in the air full of unnecessary tension, making the others snicker. "Forgot about the increased strength! My bad."
"You little.." Spider charges at you, but stumbles slightly when you're pulled aside and shielded by Neteyam. You stick your tongue out from behind the Na'vi's shoulder and anger the human boy even more. "You're lucky Neteyam is all over you." This time it is the Sully son himself who smacks the back of his head and receives a groan in return. Spider massages the struck spot, "Can we go? I don't want to get bullied over here!"
Kiri rolls her eyes playfully, but begins to jump from one branch to another with Tuk and Spider following. Lo'ak and Neteyam face you with a challenging smirk and before you know it, you're standing alone in the middle of the enormous forest, incapable of moving like a Na'vi, let alone knowing where you're supposed to go.
"Guys, come on!" you shoot your arms in the air, pacing from one side of the branch to the other. "That's not fair!"

The Sully family stood by the child sleeping soundly in Kiri's lap, given they seemed to have an iron grip and refused to let go of her, they all chose to sit and wait for the young one to wake up. When the scientists had tried removing their small wooden mask on the outside of the lab, they thrashed and seemed to be uncomfterable with the thought, constantly slapping and hitting the oxygen mask that would drift their way. Norm let them have their mask, as long as he got to make sure they could properly breathe.
"They aren't a human." Norm said, who looked at confusion at the snoring one. At first most in the room had believed they were just a strange looking sky person, but Jake and Norm confirmed that to not be the case.
"Then what could they be? Another creation, like dreamwalkers?" Neytiri looked between Norm and Jake in fear for her clans safety, while she wasn't opposed to leaving them behind if they proved to be difficult, she has compassion. Jake hmm'd.
"No, I do not think so. They do not seem human at all, science can only be based on existing DNA, neither me or Norm have seen anything like this before." He insisted, sighing and gently holding Neytiri's hand. "We should teach them our ways, they don't seem to have relation to sky people." Neytiri was reminded of her and Jake's time, still unsure, she sighed and gently wrapped an arm around him.
"We shall see, ma jake. We shall see."
Kiri moved to sit atop her mothers tank, carefully placing you in her lap and gently playing with your hair. Speaking to Lo'ak, Neteyam, Tuk and Spider while their parents spoke with Norm about you on the other side of the lab. Unconsciously, you began moving your head from side to side, slowly opening your eyes. They trailed up at your comfterable pillow to see brilliant blue skin and shining yellow eyes, shyly, your finger moved upwards and gently poked her cheek. Kiri smiled and laughed, and so you done it again.
"They seem to like you." Lo'ak laughed at your actions, leaning against Grace's Avatar's tank and grinning at your curious eyes that bore into him as he spoke.
Tuktirey noticed the new attention on you and ran over to her sisters side, her sharp fangs showing as she smiled brightly. You tilted your head and gently put your hands on her cheek, squishing them. All the siblings melted at the adorable interaction, her hands moving to your cheeks and squishing them yourself. The boys laughing as you tugged on Kiri's tail when it entered your point of view.
Three pairs of footsteps and a masculine cough quieted the laughter, only Tuk and you still curiously poking each other. Too enraptured in childhood innocence to understand your enigma of an appearance.
Your eyes drifted to see two very large Na'vi and an Avatar, though to you, the differences weren't too noticeable. Neytiri picked up the youngest Sully and moved her off Grace's tank to the ground, now Jake was right in front you and Kiri.
"Hello." He whispered, assuming you'd understand him if you were related to humans given English was the most widespread language humans used on Pandora. From what Kiri had told him, she wasn't sure if it was English or her careful and slow actions that'd earned their trust.
Tilting your head, instead of responding you reached a hand out and pinched his nose. Neytiri held a hand over her mouth to silence a laugh. Lo'ak and Neteyam looked at each other and tried to silence their own laughs like their mother, however, the young Tuk didn't have that thought and pointed at her dads wince, loudly laughing. Kiri grinned and tried prying the young ones hand off, who just pinched harder as a result.
"I'm not sure they know English." He quietly spoke, voice nasaly from their pinching of his noise, Neytiri's eyes softened at the adorable sight, hardening when she had a sudden thought.
"Maybe another sky person will be of comfort." Looking down on Spider, motioning for him to go forward. He awkwardly shuffled forward and smiled, trying to appear unthreatening as he moved next to Jake.
"Hello? Uh, the name's Spider." Lo'ak snickered and muttered a 'bro', proceeding to get slapped in the back of the head by Neteyam. You still didn't seem to know what was going on. Grabbing his nose like you did with Jake's, reaching your other hand to said Na'vi, leaning your head to study them and their differences.
"I don't think this is working." Spider's voice, now nasaly, spoke. Kiri laughed and pet your head which tipped up to look at her. Even if you didn't have a mouth, your bright eyes could show a thousand smiles if only for a moment.
While Neytiri had a sudden soft spot for you, she gently held her hand on Jake's shoulder. Words unspoken yet understood perfectly, not only through the couple, but through the entire family. Kiri tapped your hand, making you let go of the poor guys noses.
"We need to talk about this." Neytiri looked between the family, eyes studying your figure with an almost regretful suspicion. Kiri jumped down from the tank, gently trying to pry you off holding onto her torso, but you whined and gripped hard onto her, afraid of being left alone.
"Norm will take care of you, okay?" Kiri freed one of her arms and pointed to the very awkward Avatar, huffing but seemingly satisfied with at least not being left alone, you let go of her and she let you stand on the ground. You held out your hand for Norm to hold, but they could all see your eyes locked into Kiri as she left.
Nobody understood the connection you had with her, you felt like a piece of her and she felt the same way, unsure of what you were but all she knew was that she needed to protect you. Kiri heard Eywas mighty heartbeat thump louder than it ever had when you were with her. Your own heartbeat making you feel as if she was your only home.

Engraved in the Sea (Neteyam x (f) reader
I have a lot of ideas to continue this in several parts but only if y’all are interested :), I’m enjoying getting back into writing
----
The flight had been long and tiring. Neteyam felt his eyes tearing up from the cold wind as they whisked above the ocean. The sounds of waves colliding with the boulders nearby hit his ears.
But even with the loud winds zipping past his ear, he could still hear the audible sigh little Tuk let out.
"Are you alright, Tuk?" He yelled over the wind. His mother pulled the little girl closer to her chest, looking down at the youngest Sully to hear her reply.
"Are we there yet?" Tuk whined.
Lo'ak groaned and rolled his shoulders, "Not yet, Tuk. Can't you see we are lost?"
"Hey," Jake cut in, looking behind him to turn to his son, "We aren't lost. I know where we are going."
"So how much further then, daddy?" Tuk asked.
Silence etched across the group, all waiting for Jake to reply.
Neytiri sighed at her husband, "You are lost."
"No, I'm not. Just trying to find the right reef barrier." He assured them.
"We're lost, Dad," Kiri groaned, slumping over in her seat on the ikran.
"….No, we're fine," Jake said.
The others sighed.
----
The day was gorgeous, tranquil, and with crystal blue waters. Nothing seemed to break the peace.
Until you gagged and spat out the bite, you took from your fruit, "Damn, that's not ripe."
You sighed and leaned forward on your ilu, "Do you want this gorgeous?"
The creature chirped happily and gladly took the remainder of the fruit. You smiled and readjusted yourself in your seat.
"Welp, that was our break, little one. Time to get back to work," you sighed, adjusting your bag strapped over your shoulder.
The ilu chirped once before moving forward, taking a small runup before descending below the surface of the ocean waves. You gripped your hold firmly on your ilu, carefully eyeing the ecosystem around you as you swam by.
'Everything seems in order.' You thought to yourself. You were just near the edge of your protected reef, where the waves we quiet but still present. Even below in the water, you could still feel the pull of the currents.
After a while, your lungs started to feel tight, and you gently tapped your ilu on the side of the head, signaling to go up. Together, you broke through the surface. You were just on the edge of the reef, ready to take another dive before your ilu stiffened.
You frowned, "what's wrong little one?"
The ilu lifted its head ever so slightly; you followed suit, peering your gaze at the sky. Your eyes winded when your caught sight of-
"Ikrans," you whispered before tapping your ilu, "Those are mountain banshees. They have riders."
You peered at the sky once more, eyeing their flight pattern. The one in the front seemed to hover ever so slightly as if second-guessing which way to go.
You eyed the reef barrier before sighing and commanding your ilu to go forward, breaking through the reef barrier.
"Looks like we will have some guests, little one."
---
"Ma Jake, if we are lost, we should rest somewhere first," Neytiri sighed, hugging Tuk closer.
"We're not lost. We need to get a little closer," Jake replied.
Neteyam sighed and looked around the waters, hoping to find somewhere noticeable for them to land.
An eerie noise hit his ears, a quiet but steading whistling. Even in the sky, he could hear it faintly. Looking down below, he could see the light blue figure waving at his family near the outer edge of what looked like the reef barrier his dad had discussed.
"Dad, look down there," He said, pointing to the figure.
"It's a Na'vi," Kiri replied.
Jake flew down closer, and his family wearily followed suit.
The Na'vi down in the water sat on a water creature, a spear held in one hand. She was greener than any Na'vi Neteyam had seen before, far different from his appearance.
"You're a long way from home," The figure yelled up to them, jutting her head, "Na'vi of the Omatikaya clan, far from home, traveling these waters."
Neytiri straightened up in her seat, tightening her grip on Tuk and her bow.
The Na'vi lowered her spear so it dipped in the water, "I can tell from your Ikrans, if you are to pass through these waters, you talk to the Olo'eyktan Tonwera and his TsahĂŹk Ronal.
"The village is close?" Jake asked.
The girl nodded sideways, "Awa'atlu is just further north, past this reef barrier."
"Lower any weapons when you arrive," the girl added, eyeing the bow in the Neytiri's hand, "If you come in peace, act as such."
With that, the creature she sat upon chirped and dived below the water. With the Na'vi still on it, they glided through the water and towards the village.
Jake looked to his family, taking a deep breath, "Let's go, everyone. We can do this."
Wearily, they followed their father to the village, the kids still eyeing the spot where the girl was a mere second ago.
---
You emerged from the water upon the shores of your home.
The rest of your clan circled near the edge of the decks. You could see your family through the gaps of the circle. Starting with your mother and father, the former of which was hissing at the new arrivals, with their mother responding as such. Even from here, you could see the tense aura and sighed.
"Go play with the others, little one," You whispered to her ilu. Grasping your bag over your shoulder and leaving your spear near the beach, you walked up the shoreline towards your clan and the newcomers.
People caught your eye and moved out of the way as you walked through the crowd, they nodded to you in respect, and you replied before reaching the front, catching the last of your mother talking.
"What reason should we have to welcome such Na'vi into our home?"
"With all due respect, your scout led us here," Jake replied, hugging Tuk closer to his embrace.
Tonwera frowned, "Scout?"
You sighed and stepped forward, gently placing your hands on your sibling's shoulders, Tsireya and Ao'nung, eyeing the forest Na'vi children, one with distrust and Tsierya with curiosity. The two stepped out of the way and let you pass, allowing yourself to stand tall.
"It was me, father. I was collecting medicine from the reefs," You spoke, keeping your tall and firm stance even when all eyes turned to you.
Tonwera nodded his head to me, "My oldest, Y/n."
"You led them here, daughter?" Ronal asks.
You nod before stepping towards their guests. You look to your father, who gives you a subtle nod.
Nodding back, you eyed each of the members of the Omaticaya clan, taking in their darker blue and patterns etched into their skin, lack of tattoos, and lean muscles. Their figures wouldn't make them strong swimmers, nor would their tails. Their hair would be heavy in the water.
You stopped in front of one particular figure. He was the tallest out of the siblings and the eldest. His gaze bore into yours, but it seemed more like a stare. You smirked and glanced at the rest of them. They were doing the same but trying to be more subtle about it—one thing you tend to forget about yourself on occasion is your appearance. While dressed the same as the others in your clan, in seashells and tattoos, hair neatly braided, there was a distinct feature permanently marking your face, which the kids seemed unable to look away from.
From the tip of your browbone to the side of your jaw was a deep pink scar that grazed across your face, specifically your right eye, making it look pale compared to your other eye, which was startling blue.
The scar was noticeable, and Neteyam couldn't help but stare. The oldest daughter brought her hand up to her face and gestured out a greeting. Neteyam blinked out of his frozen state and hastily gestured back. Your pale eye and blue one bore into him before turning back to the rest of his family.
Your gaze stopped upon Tuk, the youngest and the most frighted, which you could tell by the way she tucked into her father's shoulder.
You eyed Jake, "Jake Sully, we know who you are and what dangers follow you, especially regarding the sky people."
'I'm just trying to protect my family. And get away from all of that," He replied, which caused your eyes to flicker to Tuk and Neytiri's anxious eyes again.
You turned back to your parents, looking directly at your mother, "They may not be the strongest in our waters, and it's a risky move on our part, but if our family was in their position, would you pray for our safety in another's sanctuary too?"
Ronal sighed and looked at her husband, our Chief.
Quietly, You walked back to your siblings, and your father began speaking again. You whispered to Ao'nung, 'stop glaring. It's ugly when you do."
"Says you scarface," he replied.
"Always creative with your insults, brother," You said and turned back to face their guests.
It was decided they were to stay. The family card stuck with the Chief and his wife, being parents themselves.
Jake dropped his shoulders in relief and thanked them. Then began the discussions of teaching them the ways of the metkayina, to which you and Roxto chuckled when Chief said they would be like babies.
"My children will teach yours the way of our people."
You eyed Tsierya as she smiled before following her gaze to the younger brother of the Sullys.
She sighed, "Someone caught your eye, aye."
Your younger sister blushed, and you nudged her shoulder.
"Children," Tonowei spoke up, looking at his family. We all straightened up, "They are your responsibility when teaching. Look after them."
Father then walked up to you and placed a hand on your shoulder, "But don't let it get in the way of your responsibilities. You can't afford to fall behind now."
"Of course."
You eyed the Sullys behind your father's shoulder. They looked at each other with reassurance and sought comfort in being near their parents. You looked to Neteyam again, taking in his firm and protective stance over his siblings.
I guess I'm not the only one with such a protective role. This would be interesting indeed.' She thought to herself.
"Don't worry, father, and I'm sure this will be well worth it."
"Let's hope so."
You licked your salty lips, bringing back to bitter taste from earlier.
"Also, the fruit picked this morning is not ripe."
Your father groaned, "Damn, I was looking forward to those."

George Weasley had always been a part of a big and loving family. He was the fourth child out of seven siblings - three older brothers, a twin brother, and two younger siblings. Being a pureblood wizard, he was raised in a household bursting with magic, love, and chaos.
But this Christmas, their family dynamics had shifted. George's girlfriend, Y/N, was spending the holidays with them at the Burrow. Y/N had recently been disowned by her parents for being a witch, and it broke George's heart to see her go through that.
As the two of them cuddled on the couch in front of the fireplace, Y/N couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the love and warmth that radiated from the Weasley family. They had welcomed her with open arms, treating her as one of their own.
"I love your family, George," Y/N said, nuzzling her head against his chest.
George wrapped his arms around her tighter, smiling down at her. "They love you too, Y/N. You fit right in."
Y/N sighed contently, realizing that the Weasleys were the family she had always wanted. Growing up, she was always shunned by her own parents for being a slightly odd, after all they didn'tknowthat she was a witch back then, and to finally be accepted and loved by a family was an indescribable feeling.
"I used to envy you, you know?" Y/N said quietly, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between them.
George raised an eyebrow, curious about what Y/N meant. "What do you mean?"
"Having such a big and loving family. I always wished I had one like yours," Y/N explained, playing with the hem of George's shirt.
George's heart ached at the sadness in Y/N's voice. He couldn't imagine growing up without the love and support of his siblings and parents. "Well, you have one now. We may not be blood-related, but you're a part of our crazy Weasley clan now."
Y/N smiled, feeling loved and accepted by George and his family. She couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift than this.
As they continued to cuddle and talk, Y/N couldn't help but admire each and every one of the Weasley siblings. Bill, the oldest and most responsible; Charlie, the adventurous and rebellious second child; Percy, the ambitious and studious third child; George, her loving and mischievous boyfriend; Fred her boyfriends equally mischievous twin; Ron, the youngest boy who always looked up to his older brothers, dispite denying it valiently everytime it was brought up; and Ginny, the feisty and independent youngest child and only girl.
Y/N realized that each sibling had their own unique personality, but they all shared one thing in common - a deep love for each other.
"I love you, George," Y/N said, looking up into his warm brown eyes.
George smiled down at her, cupping her cheek with his hand. "I love you too, Y/N. And I promise, no matter what, you'll always be a part of our family."
And in that moment, Y/N knew that she had found a home with George and his family, and she couldn't be happier. As the fire crackled and the love between them grew stronger, Y/N knew that no matter what obstacles they faced, they would always have each other and the love of the Weasley family to get them through.

Clammask suckles a litter of four kits in the nursery with Scrubmask watching over her, purring so hard her body vibrates.
[Image ID: Four newborn kits sit in nests with introductory text under them. The first, a white tom with a golden head and tail, reads NEW PLAYER: HONEYKIT, 0, MALE, NOISY. Next is a white splashed golden tom with the text NEW PLAYER: SPLASHKIT, 0, MALE, NOISY. Above him is a brown masked tom with a white underside who reads NEW PLAYER: LEATHERKIT, 0, MALE, IMPULSIVE. Lastly, there is a black tabby molly, with the words NEW PLAYER: DRUMKIT, 0, FEMALE, QUIET underneath.]
---
There were originally five kits in Clammask’s litter.
The fifth kit was a golden molly who looked like the perfect blend of Clammask and Scrubmask, despite her loner sire. She had seemed so strong next to her brothers and sister. Clammask wanted to give her a strong, powerful name when the quarter moon came. Troutpaw predicted that she would be a mighty warrior, as strong as a cougar.
She passed on the third night of her short little life.
Clammask, like most Clan cats, believed in the idea that young deaths like these were not the deaths of unique souls, but rather StarClan spirits who journeyed back to guide the newborns into the world, only to return soon after. That didn’t mean the little kit’s passing did not hurt, however. That did not mean Clammask did not mourn what could have been, or that Scrubmask’s typical gloomy attitude did not grow darker as the quarter moon passed. Troutpaw outright avoided the nursery after her prediction proved false.
Scalekit looked a lot like the child Clammask lost. It made it hard for her to share a den with the pale-colored kit. At least he would be an apprentice that time next moon. For now, Clammask would focus on her kits while he was in the nursery, and her kits alone.
Two of them looked just like Clammask and Scrubmask. Just like their lost sister. The oldest tom looked like he had dipped his white body into a pot of honey, leaving just his head and tail colored. The other had his birth mother’s fur and his other mother’s white markings. The youngest tom was different, more of a golden-brown color, but Clammask could still see the familial resemblance. She had no idea why her only surviving daughter was black, though. The magic of StarClan’s Blessed Ones, she supposed.
Although she was still sore from her kitting, when the faintest shimmer of light graced camp on the seventh day, Clammask crept out of the nursery and toward the entrance. Scrubmask had been on guard duty most nights since the kitting.
Scrubmask stared ahead when Clammask stepped out. Only a twitch of her whiskers let Clammask know her mate saw her.
“Come to the nursery,” Clammask whispered. “It’s time to name them.” Scrubmask stiffened. Her gaze drifted to the side. “Scrubmask, this is the family you asked for. Don’t let the kit that didn’t make it keep you from the rest.”
“I won’t,” Scrubmask promised, bristling. “It’s just hard to see them when… when there should be five.”
“I know,” Clammask said. She rubbed against Scrubmask. “Our four are healthy and beautiful, though. I want you to help choose names.” Scrubmask swallowed hard. She touched noses with Clammask, and entered camp.
The four kits were still asleep as Clammask and Scrubmask crept in. Weedfoot and Scalekit, sleeping closer to the front of the nursery, left when they saw the couple arrive. Clammask curled back around the four kits. Scrubmask wrapped herself around Clammask, head resting on her back.
“I already have a name for this one,” Clammask said, nosing the gold-dipped tom. “Honeykit.”
“Cute,” Scrubmask hummed. She studied the other golden tom, whose fluffier fur predicted a pelt as long as Scrubmask’s some day. “…Goldenkit. No. Fuzzykit. Too cute. No one will treat him seriously. Dandelionkit. No, I don’t like flowers.” Clammask nuzzled her mate, hiding a laugh. “Alright, this is the last name. Splashkit.”
“Splashkit it is,” Clammask purred. Her tail brushed against the soft pelts lining the floor of the nursery. She flipped over the corner of a rabbit pelt and studied the brown leather on the other side. “I like Leatherkit for the brown tom. Now you get to name our daughter.”
“Drumkit,” Scrubmask said quickly.
“Where did that name come from?” Clammask asked.
“It just feels right,” Scrubmask said. She reached a paw over Clammask to gently touch Drumkit’s head. It was not enough to wake the sleepy kit up. Scrubmask sighed and laid back down beside Clammask, purring.
“I’m glad I get to be a mother with you,” Clammask hummed, resting her head.
“So am I,” Scrubmask purred.
(Clammask: 46, female, caretaker, righteous, lore master, good teacher)
(Honeykit: 0, male, kit, noisy)
(Splashkit: 0, male, kit, noisy)
(Leatherkit: 0, male, kit, impulsive)
(Drumkit: 0, female, kit, quiet)
(Scrubmask: 69, female, warrior, gloomy, fast runner, good hunter)

Having reached the end of her apprenticeship, the newly named cleric, Troutpool, feels there is so much left to learn, and frets about whether or not she is ready. With twitching whiskers, Fennelspot assures her that StarClan will always be there to guide her.

Paleseed visits AshClan, but only makes things worse between the Clans.
[Image ID: Eelstar stands in front of Terracottapaw as Paleseed watches them both.]
---
Fennelspot had dreamed of a glowing ash tree during his visit to StarClan’s Shrine, apparently, with Mousesong standing underneath. In his eyes, that meant they needed to speak to AshClan. In Downstar’s eyes, that meant Paleseed had to speak to AshClan. They weren’t about to send Spikecrash into AshClan territory, not when they were carefully concealing her relation to Darkkick. Paleseed was the only one who could do it, but she refused to go alone. Not when she was a spitting image of her mother, named after the cat that Eelstar… that Eelstar…
“Paleseed,” Waspdawn said. He gently batted Paleseed’s ear, drawing her back to the present. The pair sat at the edge of AshClan territory. Morning sun beamed through the colored leaves and tinted everything red and orange. Despite the warm colors, Paleseed felt cold.
“Sorry, Waspdawn,” she gulped, rubbing her face. “Were you saying something?”
“I just want you to pay attention,” Waspdawn reminded his sister. “It’s not safe to be absent minded around AshClan right now. I don’t like how thin their numbers have been at recent Gatherings.”
“I suppose that’s all the more reason to check in on them,” Paleseed said. The wind carried fresh AshClan scent to Paleseed’s nose. A moment later, a small AshClan patrol slipped between the thinning shrubbery. “Hello! Excuse us!” Bright eyes stared at the two littermates. It was Frogbelly, Eveningshade, and Brackenpaw (one of Terracottapaw’s littermates, if Paleseed recalled correctly).
“Oh, Paleseed!” Frogbelly gasped. “Hello! You check the borders for visitors so often, sometimes you forget to see if anyone is really there!” He led Eveningshade and Brackenpaw to the border.
“Hi, Frogbelly,” Paleseed sighed. “I’m afraid I have an official request. Would you take me to your camp?” Frogbelly’s cheerful expression stiffened, trying to stick around despite the sudden chill in the air.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea at the moment,” Eveningshade said. “There is a lot of disease in camp right now. We wouldn’t want RippleClan to get sick.”
“I’m sorry, but we have to be blunt about it,” Waspdawn huffed, angling himself in front of Paleseed. “Fennelspot received a vision that may link your Clan to the death of one of our codekeepers.”
“What, Mousesong?” Eveningshade scoffed. “Didn’t your leader say she was killed by a dog?”
“StarClan sent Fennelspot a vision, and it’s our job to follow up on it,” Paleseed gulped. “Please, Frogbelly?” Frogbelly squirmed under Paleseed’s pleading gaze.
“Maybe we can take you to camp for a short visit?” Frogbelly suggested, staring at Eveningshade. Eveningshade sighed, but flicked her tail for Paleseed and Waspdawn to cross the border.
There was an eerie familiarity to AshClan territory that Paleseed could not get over. Maybe it was all in her head, a fusion of the many stories her mother told her of her old life, but the way the trees grew thicker and seemingly every tree bore marks of harvest… Paleseed wondered if her namesake walked at her side, quietly giving her the strength to step into the camp where Weedfoot nearly died.
AshClan’s camp was surrounded by thickly woven walls, a symbol of AshClan’s determination to carve a new place in the land after the great fire that forced them into creation. Two cats sat tall on either side of the tight entrance. Paleseed and Waspdawn had to walk single-file between the AshClan mediators as they made their way into camp. Paleseed instantly understood why the plan to break Weedfoot out of the camp had been so difficult to undertake. Each den in camp was constructed from branches, twigs, bark, and any other chunk of wood the Clan managed to find, tied and stuck together to form giant dens. Each den had its own lovely decor dangling from the walls; dried flowers and necklaces and other beautiful things. There weren’t many cats wandering around that morning, but those that did basked in the dappled light of the thick canopy overhead. Those cats turned their heads at the sight of RippleClan cats entering their quiet camp.
“I’m hoping to discuss the vision with Newtstream or Eelstar,” Paleseed said, her voice struggling to break free.
“I’m afraid they’re both busy,” Eveningshade said. “Deputy Barkfur is in camp, however. Brackenpaw, please fetch him.”
“Yes, Eveningshade,” Brackenpaw gulped, bowing to Eveningshade. He skittered off into one of the strange, human-like dens.
“Paleseed,” Waspdawn whispered into her ear. “Take a look at the cats around camp.” There were a few small groups of cats scattered about. A gaggle of apprentices watched Paleseed and Waspdawn from what Paleseed assumed was the apprentice’s den. Newly named warriors groomed squirmy kits. A young caretaker stoked the flames of a huge oven in the center of camp.
“What’s wrong?” Paleseed whispered back.
“Where are the elders?” Waspdawn asked. “Where are the senior warriors? Paleseed, I don’t think anyone we see is more than a few moons older than us.” Paleseed looked about a third time and realized her brother was right. Yes, a lot of cats would be out of camp at this time of day, but the elders would be relaxing on the warm boulder that acted as the back wall of one of the dens. The queens would be grooming the kits, not the young cats Paleseed saw.
Barkfur broke the pattern as Brackenpaw led him out of one of the dens near the camp wall. From Weedfoot’s stories, Barkfur had been one of Autumnstar’s most loyal warriors and bestowed the killing blow on Sprucespring, one of the Ashes in the Water. Paleseed quietly thanked StarClan that she didn’t have to talk to Eelstar.
“Mediator Paleseed,” Barkfur said with a short bow. “Codekeeper Waspdawn. Brackenpaw told me you’re following up on a vision.” He dismissed the young apprentice with a quick flick of his tail. Brackenpaw hurried over to the other apprentices.
“During the half-moon meeting, Fennelspot dreamed of Mousesong, one of our dead Clanmates, standing under a glowing ash tree,” Paleseed explained, her training taking over her insecurities. “Although we confirmed she was killed by a dog, the arrival of the vision has given us cause for concern. Do you know something about Mousesong’s death?” Barkfur stared at Paleseed, as though deciding how much to say. Paleseed’s jaw tightened. She couldn’t look at Barkfur like someone who killed her mother’s friend. She had to approach him like a reasonable tom who wanted the best for his Clan. “This isn’t an accusation of anything, sir. We just want the truth. If StarClan thought it apt to direct us here, surely they want us to know the truth.”
“I don’t know the full story,” Barkfur admitted. He leaned a bit closer and whispered, “Your Clanmate died on the first moon of summer, yes?”
“We found her under a beech tree, sir,” Paleseed gulped.
“Then you’ll need to speak to Cleric Apprentice Terracottapaw,” Barkfur sighed, standing straight.
“Aren’t they a bit, uh, busy, Deputy Barkfur?” Frogbelly stammered. Paleseed had almost forgotten he and Eveningshade were still there.
“They can take the time to speak to our guests,” Barkfur said. There was a weight to his words that made Paleseed cold. She often took the opportunity to speak with Terracottapaw at Gatherings, and even saw them during a special mediator/cleric Gathering the moon prior. Every time she saw the young apprentice again, they seemed just as nervous as the first time the pair met. “Take our guests to the meeting den, and I’ll fetch Cleric Apprentice Terracottapaw.” Frogbelly and Eveningshade bowed to Barkfur, then nudged Paleseed and Waspdawn across camp.
As the group made their way to a small den, half bush and half wood, they passed by the mouth of a larger den. Paleseed glanced inside. AshClan cats sat huddled in their nests, shivering. Many had wrappings over their ears and noses and leather thrown over their backs. The very air within the den made Paleseed shiver. She ducked her head and tried to pretend she had seen nothing.
The meeting den was small, but there were a few leather pelts for the siblings to lounge on while they waited for Terracottapaw. Paleseed tucked her paws under herself and sat on a soft vole pelt.
“We’ll be nearby if you need anything,” Frogbelly promised. He gave a quick, awkward bow to the pair while Eveningshade left, then hurried to catch up to his friend. When they were gone, Waspdawn turned to Paleseed, eyes wide.
“Did you see all those sick cats?” Waspdawn hissed.
“They seemed more injured than sick,” Paleseed groaned.
“With bandaging on their extremities…” Waspdawn mumbled. “If I didn’t know better, I would say it was frostbite. But that many cats, at this time of the year?” Waspdawn sat next to Paleseed.
“Something is very wrong here,” Paleseed whined. “We… Downstar and Fennelspot should know about this.”
“I agree, but Paleseed, you have to remember, we aren’t here to fix AshClan’s problems for them.” Waspdawn examined the wooden walls, sneering. “The only reason we should be concerned about them is if they’re threatening our family.” Waspdawn was about to say more, but at that moment, Terracottapaw entered the den. They would have been taller than Paleseed if they would stand straight. They walked in a constant crouch that made Paleseed’s spine hurt.
“Hello, Mediator Paleseed,” Terracottapaw gulped.
“You don’t have to be formal with me,” Paleseed insisted. “We just have a few questions about a vision Fennelspot had at the half-moon meeting.”
“Terracottapaw,” Waspdawn said. His voice was taut and hard. Terracottapaw struggled not to sink deeper under his gray gaze. “Do you know something about Mousesong?” Terracottapaw dug their gaze into the leather-lined floor.
“I was collecting herbs when a dog came at me,” Terracottapaw muttered, fur prickling. “It chased me up a tree in RippleClan territory. Mousesong scented me. I swear, I tried to get her to run, but…” Their words died out.
“Why did you leave, Terracottapaw?” Paleseed asked softly. She tried to meet the apprentice’s eyes, belly almost flat to the ground in an effort to look up at Terracottapaw’s downward gaze. “You weren’t there when the patrol found her. Why didn’t you explain yourself?”
“I was scared,” Terracottapaw mumbled. “It was my fault.” The sentence ended quickly as Terracottapaw stopped themself from going too far.
“I believe you,” Paleseed said, “but I think there’s something else happening. Terracotta, why are so many cats sick? Why has Eelstar missed so many Gatherings? Why can’t your mentor meet us?”
“Paleseed,” Waspdawn snapped quietly, ears tilting back. “What did we talk about?”
“I can’t let this go, Wasp,” Paleseed groaned, eyes shifting between Terracottapaw and Waspdawn. “Look how ragged they are! What if StarClan sent us here to help?”
“Another of StarClan’s messages Newtstream would ignore, if what Darkkick told us is true,” Waspdawn grumbled. Terracottapaw lifted their head. They looked out of the den, studying the figures on the other side of camp. They glanced at Waspdawn, shrinking again under his glare. Then they crept up to Paleseed and whispered in her ear.
“You can’t tell anyone else,” Terracottapaw said. “We’ve been cursed. Cats keep freezing, even in summer. Newtstream performs rituals to help us, and cats start to recover, but then they’ll get sick again. Eelstar’s lost a few lives already. We can’t stop it.” The hopeless fear in the apprentice’s voice stilled Paleseed’s breath and froze her paws.
“Cleric Apprentice Terracottapaw.” A thin figure stood in the den entrance. The old burn scars covering his paws were now coated in another layer of fresh wounds; blistering skin, eaten by a chill only he felt. He held his black tail low and, with only a hard gaze, drew Terracottapaw to his side.
“Eelstar,” Paleseed gulped. “Barkfur told us you were occupied.”
“I became unoccupied,” Eelstar growled. Terracottapaw bowed to their leader and crept back and out of the den. “What happened with your codekeeper was a horrible accident, but one that occurred as a result of an apprentice fleeing for their life. Does that satisfy your inquiry?” Paleseed tried to answer, but found her voice die well before she could make a sound.
“It does,” Waspdawn said, nodding deeply to the burnt leader.
“In that case,” Eelstar said, “I’ll have a patrol escort you back to RippleClan.” He stepped to the side so Paleseed and Waspdawn could leave. Paleseed squirmed. She pushed against her brother, who returned the gesture with a comforting lick. Waspdawn nudged Paleseed on. Paleseed slunk past Eelstar. She could only stare at his injured paws.
Terracottapaw lurked beside one of the dens when Paleseed and Waspdawn emerged. Their eyes dripped with sympathy, but despite the chill that seemed to envelop the camp, Terracottapaw said nothing as Paleseed and Waspdawn left AshClan’s camp.
(Paleseed: 18, female, mediator, insecure, fast runner, steady paws)
(Waspdawn: 18, male, codekeeper, strict, learner of lore, clue finder)

“Noooooooooooo! Don’t go dadddy!” his daughter June shouted.
His daughters trying to baracade him, he thought it was the cutest thing. Because he still can leave the room if he have to.
He kneeled in front of his four girls, opening his arms to hug them. One ran into his chest hard, almost taking his breath away.
“I must go little ones, I’ll be back I promise. Then I am all yours.”
“That’s not fair that the boys get to go and not us.” His other daughter May pouted.
“Yea, we’re strong to daddy…” His daughter Sierra chimed in.
“Of course you are, I would expect nothing less. But your duties lie here with your mother, as ours out on the field.” Bi-Han looked at them.
They only pouted more and groaned slightly, You soon intervened pulling the girls one by one of him. Like sticky notes, one of them was a fighter. Gripping him and screaming.
Before you finally got her off, and restrained her. “You should escape why you still can baby, save yourself.” You chuckled.
“I will see my girls again when we return.” He gave you a sweet kiss, making the boys gag and girls complain.
“No! You have to give us bye bye kisses to!” Chi Chi his other daughter complained wiggling out of her mother’s hold.
They gave him another hug and kisses this time, and he returned happily. His daughters now suffice. They went in formation and bowed, “FOR THE LIN KUEI.”
He bowed before finally leaving with his sons.

Bi-Han was with his Sons, there first mission. Was to infiltrate and obtain intel on the target.
“Now, this is your first mission as children of the Lin Kuei. You are the future of this clan, this mission will test your strength, control, and stealth. As well as to prove to me you can handle any mission alone without me and to protect your mother and sister when I am gone or not around. Do you understand?” Bi-Han explained looking at his sons
“Yes Grandmaster!”
“Good! Now An dong ni will tell us what our plan will be to infiltrate the tower.” Bi-Han said, they all looked at his son An dong ni. Who just held weapon close and slightly nervous
“Uhhhhhhhhhh…”

You and your daughters were sitting in a straight line doing each others hair. The youngest doing her Barbie’s hair, she brushed instead of braiding like the others. She didn’t know how to do it.
You phone began to ring, the ringtone “Barbie World by Nicki Minaj ft. Ice Spice”. Y’all were shimming to it before ChiChi got up.
“I got it!” ChiChi threw her doll to the side, the phone stopped ringing and she missed the call.
She noticed it was a text from grandma, she grabbed the phone and brought it back to you.
“It’s Grandma! Is it another barbecue?”
“Haha No. I don’t think I’ll be bringing your father or uncle’s to another one.”
Tumblr media
You looked at her message, it was kind of weird the way she typed or spoke.
But you shook it off as her being in a rush, and rushing you on top of it… That part is definitely just like your momma
You got dressed and spoke with Tomas, “Tomas can you watch the girls till I come back from momma’s house?”
“Of course Y/N, I would not mind whatsoever. The girls are a pleasure to be with.”
“Thank you. GIRLS! Uncle Tomas will watch you till I come back!” You put on your coat and grabbed your old house keys.
“Yay!” The girls shouted, running out and grabbing Tomas pulling and pushing him in the room.
“Let’s play pet shop.” Sierra recommended.
“YAY PET SHOP!” They all cheered, Tomas face turned nervous.
“Oh no… Not pet shop.”
The door closed, and already you hear chaos and you shake your head smiling.
You had your friend Liu Kang form you a portal to earth. As you headed to your house, you noticed there were no lights on which was weird.
As you got closer to the door, it was super quiet. You somehow was getting a weird feeling, the same one with the text.
You took out your keys and opened the front door, walking in. “Momma?… I came to pick up my husbands gift?…”
No response… Which was weird you put your bags and items on top of the island in the kitchen and headed straight to the living room.
You saw your family chained and tied up with water, stuck in a water sphere they saw you. Reacting strongly, they were trying to speak but there was no sound coming through the sphere.
Before you could try to go to them, you were pulled back. Mouth covered and muffled by water
“Let’s talk somewhere private, shall we?”
The mysterious man took you somewhere, the spell breaking. Dropping your parents, your parents quickly running. To see them already gone through a portal.
“THAT’S WHY I’M A HAVE MY SON IN LAW BEAT YO DEMONIC ASS! Fucking with my babygirl!” Your mother shouted before the portal close.
“Daddy, bring me my phone. I gotta make a call.”
Your father went back in the house, she worried for her babygirl.
̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝
“I told you he was going to get all the praise.” An dong ni whispered to his brother Alex.
“I heard that.” Bi-Han said as they continued walking back home.
“You all did well, a bit sloppy but durable. A little more training could fix that.”
The boys groaned, before quickly straightening up after their father gave them the stare.
As they got closer to home, they heard commotion. Then they saw Y/N’s parents, the boys got excited running to them.
“Grandma! Grandpa!”
“Our little black ninjas! How’s our grand babies!?” There grandmother said hugging the four boys and the other four hugging there grandfather.
“Ya’ll gotten so big.” There grandfather commented. Then your mother stood up walking to hug Bi-Han, he returned. Breaking the hug, holding her close by the arms.
“How did you get here and why?” Bi-Han asked curiously, then he noticed you weren’t around anywhere.
“Where is Y/N?…” Bi-Han asked, with worry slowly rising.
Your parents looked at each other, then back at him. “How about one question at a time baby alright. My babygirl told me you have anger issues…”
“We got here with the help of Johnny boy to get in touch with this little Asian man that opened some big fire portal. To come find you, because our daughter was kidnapped.” Your father answered straight out.
“Kidnapped!?”
“By this random motherfucker, that just walked into my house. Ruining my nice clean floors, and attacked us forced us to trick my baby to come… or he would’ve killed us, and delivered our corpses to you…” Your mother started crying, putting her hands in her face.
Your father and brother in laws trying to calm her down. “T-They t-took my baby B-Bi-Han. I w-wanted to BEAT that niggas ass… So badly… M-M-My baby…This is my fault!”
To say Bi-Han was pissed was an understatement, he grabbed his mother’s hands from her face as she was sniffling.
“You had no choice, you both are alright yes.”
They both nodded.
“Good, tell me everything. Any detail will be helpful, we will bring her back. Whoever has her, don’t know who they’re dealing with.” Bi-Han said in an intimidating tone. Then he noticed Tomas, and stared confused.
He had a dog collar on, with dog ears and face painted like a dog. “Your daughters.”
Was all Tomas said.
̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝
“Now tell me earthrealmer, where is Sub-zero holding his warriors he is building.”
“I don’t know about anything you’re asking? I don’t dabble deep into my husband’s shit, unless he involved me in it.” You responded spitefully.
You were tied in the middle of a dry spot in the ocean. With water parted around you, if he let it go. He will drown you, and you are not a swimmer.
“Don’t make this harder on yourself earthrealmer.”
“Kiss my ass, I already told you. Whether you believe me or not, seems like a personal problem nigga.” You glared, and he returned it
“You really do have a death wish?”
“I could say the same for you Rain. I’ve had enough of sorcerers for one day.” Bi-Han replied, walking with his sons.
“Oh look… You brought your abominations with you.”
“Watch your tongue sorcerer, before I tear it out.” Bi-Han got into a stance.
“I suggest you corporate or your little pet will drown.” Rain showed him where you were at.
“You don’t know who you’re dealing with. I will handle him, you boys get your mother.”
Rain slammed his staff down on the ground, forming water soldiers. As well as letting the ocean suck you in.
“Mother!” The boys yelled.
Alex was thrown into the water by one of his brothers, while the other soldier. To get you, as you swam to reach your son. You couldn’t, Alex caught you already passed out.
He formed an iceberg around you both. To float up easily. Once y’all reached the top, he pulled you both to the surface. You weren’t breathing and the boys got worried.
“DAD!” Shang your son, trying to pump your chest. Bi-Han ran to your side, moving the boys aside. They were trying to refrain from crying, as there father was pressing your chest and blowing air in your mouth.
“You will not die on me Y/N!”
After several attempts, you finally coughed up water. Bi-Han held you close to his chest as you coughed up more water in his chest. You held him tight as he rubbed your back.
“Maybe *cough* I should take swimming lessons.” You chuckled weakly. Bi-Han smiled at you, pulling you into a strong hug.
His face in the crook of your neck, “I am glad you are safe.”
The boys dog piled you both in a big ball hug. As he helped you up, you winced. He noticed your legs were scrapped and you were slightly bruised.
“Hehe… We got a bit physical before he restrained me. You know I was not going down without a fight.” You smirked at him, he loves how strong willed you are.
He then picked you up bridal style, “BI-HAN!” You blushed, arms around his neck.
“You should not walk when you are injured, and we don’t need you delaying our journey home.”
“Wow, okay… What about that water bender dude?”
“We have something special planned for him.”
You saw your boys tie up the bloody man and dragging him.
̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝
When you made it back home, you were greeted by your worried parents, daughters, and brother in laws. Happy that you returned home safely.
Your leg was bandaged by Kuai Liang, you were exhausted from today’s events. Bi-Han ordered everyone to not disturb you while you rest.
Bi-Han made sure you had a guard by you at all times no matter what.
BONUS: Also as promised Bi-Han gave all his time to his girls. And played salon with him, doing his hair

it was unusual, to say the least. seeing another clan from a different tribe land on your home to seek refuge in your homeland. after ronal blatantly insulted the newcomers by their physiques and accused them of being sky demons claiming them to be not true na’vi.
tonowari was sympathetic enough to lend a helping hand, accepting their invitation to pursue uturu in his home.
“my daughter, tsireya, and her friend, [name] will escort you to your home.” he identifies the two young girls as they reveal themselves with vibrant grins. “and after you settled in, my son ao’nung will accompany them in training your children.”
“come on,” tsireya grinned, already picking up one of their belongings as you followed along in tow, “follow us!” and with that, the family of six swiftly followed behind you and tsireya. the journey wasn’t that much of a walk, the pathway was sewn carefully over the open sea. apparently, the youngest child found joy in jumping instead of walking the whole way there.
you opened the entrance to the empty mauri, inviting the family inside as well as tsireya. “home sweet home.” resting down their belongings.
“we’ll let you get settled in before we start our practices.” you smiled, catching the young female na’vi gaze locked onto you. upon being caught, her ears flickered down in embarrassment as she quickly diverted her eyes elsewhere.
luckily, her brothers were covering your line of eyesight onto her halfway.
unknowingly, a smile arose on your lips, and to your surprise, the omatikaya girl managed to hold eye contact and shyly wave at you. you could’ve tell that a smile was ghosting her lips when you waved back.
her name is kiri, you remembered. one of her brothers exclaimed her name on the way here.
kiri.
kiri is a very pretty name.
jake nodded proudly in acknowledgment, trying to be optimistic and sincerely grateful, “yeah, this is great, this will do.” whereas his mate, neytiri seemingly disagreed, dropping the rug on the floor and sighing heavily.
knowing that your presence was no longer required, you tugged onto your friend’s forearm, pulling her out of their mauri, and left the family to do their bidding. while walking beside your best friend, tsireya nudges you on the shoulder. “seems like someone has a new admirer.”
“seems that i’m not the only one,” you reminded her, your mind, replaying back to the interaction with lo’ak and tsireya when they first arrived; him greeting her and her intensely blushing. “his name is lo’ak, am i correct?”
that sly comment earned you a harsh nudge to your side. “so i am right!” you exclaimed in victory. perhaps, new faces were just what you needed, nonetheless, eywa was always full of surprises.
Tumblr media
a few months had passed by and the sully family had become accustomed to your oceanic culture. during the training of the children, you grew closer to kiri and absentmindedly you peeked at her interests, allowing her to come out of her shell. her peculiar personality was the first thing that truly intrigued you into becoming friends with her. she was more reserved, quiet, soft-hearted, and observant, unlike the rest of her siblings who were outgoing and loud.
after spending sufficient quality time with you, she decided to open up about her forest life; the RDA, her mother grace augustine, and more importantly, her connection towards ewya.
you grinned in thought as you listened in contentment as kiri passionately spoke about her forest life. the way that kiri would ramble on for hours, and you wouldn’t have a care in the world. you had been harboring these romantic feelings for a while now, but never had a moment of peace to proceed with a confession.
at first, you assumed that you were just eager to be in kiri’s embrace, not distinguishing the excessive affection that was given by each other. for instance, holding hands developed into endless kisses on the cheek, and night walks on the beach turned to sneaking around and stargazing enveloped in each other’s arms.
your unannounced situationship with the sully girl convinced everyone around that you two were dating but they never confirmed it with either of you.
homosexual couples were common amongst na’vi clans and they were openly accepted, so that was one less thing to fuss about.
she surprisingly even brought up the topic of someone named ‘spider’. now that brought you out of wonderland and reality knocked you in the face. it was finally starting to make sense. of course, she would have a boyfriend back at home. kiri was one of the most undoubtedly beautiful na’vi girls that you’ve ever laid your eyes upon in your entire life.
you had been a complete fool for having a lingering thought of kiri hoping that she was single. her liking boys and not girls crushed your spirit, you weren’t gonna lie.
who was spider? what did he look like? was he good enough by your expectations to be kiri’s boyfriend?
the sully girl also didn’t fail to include what species spider was.
a human?
a human living amongst us?!
it was his kind that brought continuous downfall to pandora and they allow him to roam free in their forest.
kiri was certain that you had many questions, begging to be answered, probably mainly about spider.
“oh…are you dating spider?” you asked in curiosity, tilting your head slightly, your baby blue doe eyes gazing at her. noticing how her body language immediately changed and you could’ve sworn to ewya that the chill in the air came to a halt. “i apologize if that’s too straightforward, you don’t have to answ–“
truth be told, you wished that she was single and your confession wouldn’t make things more awkward than they need to be.
her cheeks flushed in surprise, pupils widening and ears perking up at your sudden inquiry. even her tail swished vigorously in confusion, “no, spider is like a brother to me and besides….” kiri gently shuffled closer, your legs now touching, and made the initiation to hold hands, which thankfully, you returned back, “i think that ewya has blessed me with another.”
at that moment, your beady eyes connected with her yellow ones, holding a communication that goes beyond words and actions. she was your safe haven and you just prayed to ewya that you were hers as well.
“i have to tell you something.” your voice came out in a whisper, pulling away from your conjoined hands to avoid the quizzical stare in her eyes. you couldn’t look her in her eye with a bold face so you settled with diverting your perspective elsewhere as if it would numb the upcoming rejection. reluctantly your stare was placed onto her once again. “just please, promise me that we’ll still be friends after this.”
to be honest, kiri was quite scared of your declaration and a frown quickly embedded on her face. your face fell, gathering that she was jumping to conclusions already assuming the worst possibilities. “not it’s not bad, it’s just probably how you will react to the revelation.” you worked rapidly to regain yourself from a blemish misinterpretation. the frown disperses and speedily replaced with a small smile, which was mindful of the doubts.
kiri nodded along, kindly ushering you with your statement and her hand hovering over yours to grasp it in reassurance at any given moment.
she was such a sweetheart.
that’s what you loved liked about kiri. she was always so understanding and patient with people, wasting no time comforting the people that she loved.
your beginning words were replaced with someone else’s; “yo! what are you guys doing?!” lo’ak’s voice rang out, ruining your moment with kiri. kiri closed her eyes in irritation and her lips tightened in a firm line at her brother for having the worst timing possible.
this time another voice rang out. “kiri, it’s time to return home.” it was neyetam as he greeted you with a warm wave and smile.
“can’t you see that i’m busy?” annoyance flashed through her facial features as she looked at her oldest brother.
despite his interruption, kiri knew that neyetam meant well and that he cared for her well-being. and lo’ak, just wanted to interrupt you for the fun of it.
“it’s fine, i’ll see you later, kiri.” you walked past her, your fingers lingering on hers before quickly squeezing her hand in a gentle embrace. unexpectedly a gush of confidence overcame you, bringing your lips to her cheek for a semi-quick peck. hearing surprised gasps from her siblings only produced a dark hue of blue from kiri.
your lips were everything that kiri dreamed of. although it wasn’t a big smooch, just a tiny peck, yet, she still cherished it in her heart. she just hoped that her flustered state didn’t radiate onto you, which could’ve caused her a whole amount of embarrassment.
you excused yourself from her siblings and headed towards your mauri to finalize the day.
“you couldn’t just wait for a few more minutes, could you?” her hand drifts to her side after lightly touching her cheek, specifically the area that you kissed in astonishment.
“no! why? so you lovebirds could finally get some kisses in.” lo’ak taunts. “hey, maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to get one on the lips next time!”
she attempted to shove lo’ak harshly, ignoring his cackles of laughter. “shut up, you skxawng!” completing her signature style as she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes in pure annoyance.
even though her body language displayed irritation, it didn’t cease the butterflies in her stomach from overgrowing, her mind repeating the proximity and your cute shudder before you allowed yourself to kiss her on the cheek.
then kiri got to thinking about her brother’s snide comment; you’ll be able to get one on her lips next time!
will there ever be a next time?
will there be another opportunity for you to kiss her on the lips away from prying eyes?
eventually, the siblings of four made their way back home, arriving back just in time as neytiri was placing dinner on the table.
“so, how was your day?”
tuk beamed. “it was great, tsireya let me feed the ilu again and we searched for shells and created necklaces.” for evidence, she pulled out a beautiful strewn together necklace, unintentionally shoving the jewelry in her parents’ faces.
“this is quite the beauty, tuk.” neytiri compliments her daughter’s craftsmanship.
“kiri,” neytiri turned to her eldest daughter, “how was your day?”
at the sound of her name being called, she looked up and stopped playing with her food. kiri opened her mouth to talk but was interrupted, yet again.
“are you guys dating?” tuk was always upfront about her questions. kiri was just lucky that tuk didn’t spill the beans about her having a crush on you.
“who?” neyetam was lost but the brotherly protective manner came instinctively.
“kiri and [name], obviously, teyam. they’re always together.” lo’ak butted in the conversation. “you don’t see one without the other.”
jake looked at kiri. “wait, isn’t [name] a girl?” then he looked at his mate, “or i just didn’t get the gist.”
“yes, ma jake. [name]’s a girl and so is kiri.” neytiri affirmed her husband. “which by the way, we have no problem with.” her last statement was directed to kiri, quickly glancing at her teen daughter.
“well, i overheard [name] talking to tsireya about making kiri a necklace and also something about a confession.” the youngest sully explained with a mouth full making all heads turn to her.
“tuk! it’s not good to eavesdrop….and chew with your mouth closed.”
“that’s the part that you choose to focus on, sis: tuk eavesdropping on a conversation.” lo’ak deadpanned.
“it was none of your business, tuk.” kiri managed to contain her excitement from showing on her expression wanting to keep you out of her family’s limelight tonight.
“oh please, we all know that you wish to kiss [name].” lo’ak teases kiri, and to emphasize his point, he hugged himself and puckered up his lips, beginning to make annoying kissing noises.
tuk giggled slightly at her older brother’s antics as neyetam rolled his eyes and continued eating his partition of food.
“you’re no different, lo’ak.” neyetam defended his sister, reminding his brother of his crush as well. now experiencing embarrassment, lo’ak abruptly stopped and continued to chow down on his food.
“can we please stop talking about [name]?” kiri’s voice was unusually calm despite her whole family knowing about you and your status in her life. her family muttered in agreement, lo’ak lesser than the others.
still not being satisfied by her family’s behavior, her desire to be alone expanded by a million. “i’m going to sleep early, good night, everyone. the food was good as always, mom.” kiri rose from her seat and left the table, heading towards her room.
once kiri was out of earshot, tuk snuggled up between her parents and spoke, “i don’t know why kiri’s so mad, i’m just being honest.”
“sweetheart,” jake urged his youngest child, “tell me more about this [name].” just as tuk was about to respond, neytiri slapped him upside his head as she shakes her head disapprovingly.
“just trying to make sure that my babygirl’s in good hands, is that a crime?”
“sure use that excuse.” neytiri huffed, also leaving her seat and venturing off toward her daughter’s room. knocking softly at the blanket that served as a door as neytiri awaited kiri’s permission to enter.
“who is it?” her voice was soft, barely audible.
“it’s your mom.”
there was a pregnant silence before kiri replied. “come on in.”
kiri adjusted her position on her makeshift bed, sitting crisscrossed as neytiri joins her on the bed, doing the same position.
“i can’t explain it…” kiri sighs, looking down and playing with her fingers, “it’s like every time that i spend time with her or learn more about her, i feel myself drifting closer towards her…like my connection to eywa. i don’t want to let go of my affection for her, my heart won’t allow me to. i want to confess to [name] tomorrow but i’m scared of her reaction of how she might take it. i really really do like her mom, i don’t wanna scare her away. she’s one of the people who doesn’t make me feel like a freak and that i can just be myself whenever.”
her mother analyzes her mini confession very thoroughly and kiri almost thought that she had silenced her mom by her ranting. “mom?”
“you should confess tomorrow, but you’re underestimating your admiration for [name] and before you confess tomorrow, ask yourself, do you truly love or like her? trust me when i say that they are very different.” by the end of her sentence, she had tucked kiri into bed, placing a braid behind her sensitive ear. “sleep well, ma kiri.” she kissed her forehead and left the room.
now neytiri’s question wavered in kiri’s mind: did she truly love or like you?

Can't Help Fallin' in Love
(Lo'ak x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
The young Sully boy had piqued your interest the moment you had seen him on the sands of your home, he later realizes that you were brighter than daylight and the glows of Pandora at night.
CW: Small make out, kissing, angst if you squint, mild language, fluff, Lo'ak x F!Reader oneshot
Watching from afar, you kept your stare on the newcomers that had just previously landed on your clan's white sands, making the surrounding foggy due to the small flying particles that had resulted in their landing, the family of 6 was accompanied by their Ikrans, mountain banshees that have a master in the forest.
You have taken a closer look at the family, stepping through the crowd surrounding them, indulging in their interesting features, specifically the younger one, his semi-toned body uncomfortably shifting when your mother had laid another sentence with venom in her tongue, his face was toned - hollow cheeks his big eyes slightly wider apart, his lips are plump and moisturized, he's really cute.
While you were too captivated by the boy, your mother was practically cooking them on the spot, humiliating the family that derived the forest.
"These children are not even true Na'vi!" she held up the hand of the teenage girl, practically announcing she had another finger, making people hiss protectively, interpreting it as a threat.
"Yes we are!" she uneasily replied, pulling back her hand, Ronal moved over to the youngest son, "They have demon blood!" she raised the boy's hand as he could only look down in shame.
You felt pity for the boy who you found cut, "Ma, please stop and discuss this properly with father." you have gently stated to her fearing she would, at her side trying to get her to stop. She turned her gaze to you, the judgement in her eyes lessened, leaning her head down softly, she was once again next to her mate.
You have now backed away from the situation, smiling at the boy you couldn't take your eyes off of earlier, flashing him a soft smile as a way to be friendly.
He gave you a small mouthed grin in return followed with a "Hey." greeting you, or maybe, a thank you for saving him from your raged mother.
You could feel the butterflies spreading throughout your body, his voice was like your favourite song stuck on replay with the best part playing.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us, treat them as our brothers and sisters - but they do not know the sea, they will be like babies taking their first breath, teach them our ways so that they do not suffer the shame of being useless." The Olo'eyktan, your father, announced to the flock of Metkayinans around the Sully's and your family.
"What do we say?"
"Thank you!" The youngest cheered gratefully.
Followed by Jake Sully's wife and their older children.
"My daughters, [Y/N], Tsireya, and my son Aonung, will show you our ways." The ridiculously tall Na'vi gave his statement to the unfamiliar newcomers that have arrived in your clan.
"But father-" Aonung tried to protest against his father's sudden decision. Getting a glare in return.
Stepping forward to the new Na'vis, "Come, I'll show you our village." greeting them with a grin, leading them to their new home and also stopping the possibly escalating argument between your brother and your father. Tsireya was following you, leading the trailing family behind the two of you to an available and spacious marui where they could safely settle their big fortress in.
"I hope this is enough, sir. Me and Tsireya would be honored to teach your lovely family our ways later already if you wish." You charmed with a smile, standing at the side of the marui to let the family take in their new environment.
"Yeah, yeah, this is great, right guys? This is perfect," The father reassured his family before turning back to you and Tsireya, "this is more than enough, thank you." former Toruk Makto spoke as they all settled in.
"Please do not hesitate to call for me and [Y/N] when you guys are in need of help, we're never too busy to accompany you guys." Tsireya reminds the Sully's.
Tumblr media
A few hours had passed and it has finally set to noon, you were having a refreshing bathe in the salty seas of Awa'atlu, having a chat with your siblings Aonung and Tsireya, along with Rotxo.
However, all that had ended when a sudden splash joined the conversation. Looking back at the source, spotting the two Sully daughters, followed by their brothers.
The group you were currently with gave a basically telepathic nod, implying that you guys should swim closer to the siblings.
"How are you guys liking it here?" Tsireya asked, Aonung's eyes basically rolling to the back of his head due to the concern she displayed for the new family he obviously didn't like.
"We're doing well, still getting used to the water y'know?" Neteyam replied to Tsireya with a bit of upset in his voice, wanting to go home.
You added onto their exchanged words, "How about, let's just go for a swim first around the reefs, to help you guys get more familiar." suggesting the kids that were unfamiliar to the waters of the Metkayina clan.
A series of agreements left the throat of the new children.
You and your siblings, including Rotxo, had dived down the deep coral waters the same time the Sully kids did but due to your physical development and enhances of your bodies, you guys got a head start.
Waiting for the Sully's, under the water, "Come." Tsireya signed. The Sully brothers could only look at each other with lost looks on their faces - Tsireya had instead gestured a moment for the kids and your newfound crush to trail behind you in the water.
They rose to the surface frequently, needing their breath, Aonung and Rotxo were once picking on the unique kids again, "Stop! They are learning." you signed.
The four of you had quizzically glanced at each other as you raised to the surface with the forest Na'vis, looking graceful and effortless from the long breath holding you Metkayina kids have just performed.
The youngest was rubbing her eyes trying to wipe off the excess salt water from it, "You're too fast, wait for us." She whines.
"You are not good divers, maybe good at swinging through trees- Aonung's laugh and teasing being cut off by your hard hit on him.
Neteyam spoke up "Come on bro, we don't know what you're saying. We don't speak this," he lifts his wrist and wiggles his 3 fingers around, "finger talk." finished Neteyam.
"I will teach you." Tsireya stated, blinking, the second eyelid followed due to her Metkayinan anatomy.
"But where is Kiri?" Rotxo questioned, glancing around for any clues of the girl.
"Who?" Aonung asked, clearly not giving in any effort to even get to know the Sully kids.
"Kiri. Where is Kiri?" The questioning boy answered once again.
Looking around, the group you were in had finally found Kiri, seeing her surrounded by the small aquatic animals.
You swam into her view, "Kiri, come, we will now try to teach you guys the basics of our clan." you signed, fetching her as she trailed behind you, swimming to the surface.
You and the other Na'vis have successfully gotten to a shallow area, being sat on a wide rock that was enough to fit you guys onto it.
"Let's try breathing, it is very important. I don't want you guys to panic when you are underwater.' You said, taking a seat on the hard surface, everyone else trailing behind you and also taking a seat, imitating your previous action.
The time has passed for a good hour, trying to get the Omaticayan kids to comprehend the breathing better.
"I never knew that something such as breathing can be as hard." Lo'ak sighs out, starting to lose hope in improving.
"No," you shifted closer to Lo'ak, placing your teal-er, colored hands on to his chest. "it's easy, Lo'ak." You stated, telling him to repeat technique you had been teaching along with Tsireya for the past hour.
"Lo'ak, your heartbeat is fast, try to calm down."
"Sorry."
What you had failed to notice is that he basically had his eyes locked on your beautiful face, the sunlight softly kissing the textures of your skin, your cheeks that would often puff up when you let your breathtaking smile take part on your face.
Damn. He thought.
He knew you were good-looking, often having young Metkayina boys fall to their feet with their eyes as wife as the planet of Pandora, mouths basically being pulled down by gravity with it's whole might. You're beautiful, he acknowledges that, but it's not enough to ignite a spark towards you.
That's what he at least thought though.
Months had passed since they first arrived to your home meaning the family had grew closer and more knowledgeable to your culture. Lo'ak still had messes though, like the wrong positions of his fingers while you were teaching him the sign language, his breath still as rigged as the first day, and random slip ups on his Ilu.
Though, you were basically blind for not knowing that he had been making all those mistakes on purpose, wanting to grow the bond between your friendship stronger. Resulting in his family to keep on teasing him until he would practically already have a scowl on his features when he sees one of his loved ones approach him.
"Aww, Ma Jake, our Lo'ak's all grown up! We're growing too old already."
"Go for it, son, she's a great kid."
"My little bro, attracting all the women with the looks he got from his brother."
"Oooh! Lo'ak's got a crush! Lo'ak's got a crush! I'm gonna be an aunt! I'm gonna be an aunt!" the child teased in a musical tone.
Denying all of the allegations of being in love thrown at him by his family, he knew for himself that he didn't like you, of course he knew how insanely beautiful, breathtaking, blooming and lovely you were, he just - wait. What?
The longer you stayed with him the more you had grown to feel your longing for the reckless boy, he would often hold you close to "keep you out of trouble", hold your hand when you were playfully fighting each other in order to stop you, his tender hands never failed to make your heart's pace beat the speed of a Skimwing rushing to attack.
One afternoon, you have led Lo'ak to an island with one of the greatest views of the orange and pink hues of the sunset, the place that the two of you had gone to was usually a romantic spot for young Metkayinan couples to have their date on, under the fading light of the sun.
Fortunately there weren't any other figures that were with you two, giving the perfect opportunity to sit on the white sands of the island Lo'ak was unfamiliar with, him taking a seat next to you.
"I really have to thank you for all the places you've brought me to this week [Y/N], I never knew that Aw'atlu was this big, especially the small islands! Great for island hopping!" Lo'ak rambled, continuing on with his fascination towards the lands on the water the two of you explored.
"-Oh and! I remember this place, this is where me and Payakan were close to, we were just messing around in the water for hours, chatting, y'know?" The Sully boy added onto his rambling, specifically leaving out the part where he practically talks his tongue off to Payakan about you, sharing his experiences with you that made him giddy, Payakan often teasing his spirit brother about the so-called "crush" on you.
He still remembers the scenario like yesterday,
"No, bro! I swear I don't like her! She's just really sweet Payakan, it's practically impossible not to be finding her nice, almost everybody does so, it's just admirable."
Your giggling snapping him back to reality from his gaze of remembering. The toothy grin finally leaking onto your face, making his heart race like the first day you made his heart practically try to jump out of his chest.
"Pull yourself together, Loak. What the hell are you feeling?" He thought, his breath becoming hitched and shaky at the sight of your beauty.
And there it hits him like a bullet going through his chest, specifically directed at his heart. He was subconsciously failing at learning the Metkayina ways so he could get an excuse to spend more time with you. The sign language he messed up? Done by his subconscious to feel your hands correct his. It wasn't that his heartbeat was beating hard and fast due to the fear of failure, it was the thought of you - the fluttery feelings he would be experiencing whenever you're around or just simply mentioned. His body was practically looking forward to messing up without him even realising it, just wanting you to offer him a ride with your Ilu, having your body flushed against his, keeping you enclosed and near him.
The realization is sinking into him, he's falling in love with you.
No.
He's in love with you.
He was too blind to even realize that he had already fallen too deep in love with you before even gaining consciousness that he was.
"You're perfect." He accidentally spills the words. Eyes widening at the sentence he suddenly let out, wanting to take it back due to the fear of you rejecting him but he didn't want to hurt your feelings, not the slightest bit, especially in this romantic setting you two were in.
"W-What?"
He leans in closer, repositioning his whole body to finally turn to you, gaining a burst of confidence, he enveloped your hands in his, "I said, you're perfect, [Y/N]" he passionately announced, bringing your hands that were in his, bringing it close to his delicate face, giving it a kiss.
"Lo'ak, you're perfect." Reciprocating what he said, he practically prances on you, eyes wide in shock and disbelief that the woman he has been dreaming of for months liked him back, giving you a sweet laugh with his arms around you.
Looking into his eyes, you were practically sending him a message with yours. Intimate mind-reading practically happened, he snaked his arms to your waist, yours lacing at his neck.
He gives you a last look with his shining golden eyes, asking you if he really can do this right now.
Instead, you leaned in first, your plump and blue lips had now made conflict with his, the two skins practically mending into each other, your hand was now on his cheek, pushing his skin more into yours, if possible.
Things have quickly escalated now the tongue of yours was practically dancing with his, leaning to the side to keep the kiss deeper, exploring one another's mouths. His kisses were now strolling down your neck, giving dewy bites here and there mixed with sucking. You pulled his face to yours once again, giving him a peck on the lips and delivering a smile.
"[Y/N], I want to court you, please." His eyes giving a plead while looking into yours.
"Of course Lo'ak, I want you to meet my family, be one of us."

Cissy's sister!
This one is quite an AU of Blue Castle!
Basically, I wanted to explore how different would Valancy be if she was born as Roaring Abel's daughter and how it would influence her relationship with Barney. I like her involvement with the Stirlings too much though to give it up, so I made up a Roberta Stirling who eloped with Abel, had a short, tempestuous marriage with him and died giving birth to Valancy. He hires a wet nurse for her, married her soon after and she in turn gives birth to Cissy, so while they are half-sisters, only Valancy is related to the Stirlings.
Here is a very rough draft of the beginning:
The fact whether Valancy herself should be accepted as part of the Stirling clan had remained a hotly debated issue since the day she was born and her mother, Roberta Gay nee Stirling, died in childbirth. Roberta, ever a rebel among the staid and utterly respectable Stirlings, fell passionately and disastrously for the handsome, wild Abel Gay, a carpenter, blasphemer and a shameless town drunk, and eloped with him to the horror of her family. Their marriage, filled with volatile quarrels mixed with passionate reconciliations, lasted little above a year before it met its tragic end. During that time, Roberta had been considered dead by her relations, but her actual death while leaving behind a baby complicated the matter. Should the Stirlings recognise little Valancy?
“She’s a daughter of that sinner Abel Gay,” pointed Isobel Wallace nee Stirling distastefully. “Can it be expected that she’ll grow up into anybody we want to have associated with our family?”
“It’s extremely doubtful,” agreed gravely James Stirling who, at thirty, was already reputed to be very clever and was therefore the clan oracle—brains being none too plentiful in the Stirling connection. “Especially considering how easily her mother abandoned all decency in marrying him.”
“Roberta made her own bed,” Benjamin threw in his own agreement. “She should have expected that no child of such union could ever be recognised by us as kin. Roaring Abel’s daughter!”
“But Roberta is dead,” interceded Frederick, always the most soft hearted of the siblings, as was well known. Amelia, his bride of not yet a year, sent him an exasperated look. She had no pity for Roberta, whose scandalous elopement completely overshadowed her own marriage into the Stirling family which took place two weeks later. Nobody talked about a boring union between Amelia Wansbarra, determinedly respectable in face of her own father’s eccentricities, and the second youngest son of Jacob Stirling, when they could gossip about the elopement of the groom’s sister instead. Amelia didn’t forgive Roberta for it yet and she didn’t think she ever would. “The child is blameless, whatever her parents are guilty of. And as for her upbringing, do we really intend to leave the poor newborn baby to be brought up by Abel Gay? Surely people would talk about that.”
That hit a string with his family, as he predicted. The Stirlings feared and hated nothing more than a scandal – the main reason for their immediate cutting off Roberta – and the thought of being talked about as heartless and neglectful for refusing to take care of Roberta’s orphaned child didn’t sit well with them.
“She is our niece, whoever her father is,” acknowledged Herbert reluctantly. While he wasn’t as soft as Frederick, he was known for his abhorrence of conflict, a rare trait in the connection. “And Abel hardly has the means to take care of her properly.”
“The baby probably won’t last long anyway,” sniffled Mary, Wellington’s new wife. “I’ve heard she looks sickly.”
“Poor little lamb,” said Cousin Georgiana softly. Widely considered a hopeless old maid at thirty four, her opinions never carried much weight within the clan, but everyone was used to having her around. “Motherless from the day she was born!”
The Stirlings shifted uncomfortably. It was all well and proper to cut off the fruit of sin, but it was a bit harder when reminded that this fruit was at present a days old baby.
“We can’t ignore the child’s existence,” announced Jacob Stirling, the patriarch of the clan, ending the discussion. “It would be different if Roberta was alive – she made her own bed, as Benjamin rightly said – but her death changed things. This baby is half Stirling and she will be regarded as such. We can’t allow her to grow up in poverty and squalor unbecoming of the family. We would fail in our Christian duty.”
“But who is going to take her in?” asked Isobel with a frown. “I can’t – I have my boys to think of.”
“Well, it can’t be me,” said Herbert matter-of-factly. “I’m a bachelor.”
He had his sights set on Alberta Monroe, the most beautiful girl in the province, but since he was still working on climbing the ladder in the timber company he’d started to work for recently and his chosen bride was just sixteen, he did not expect to marry any time soon.
“Of course nobody considers you,” said his mother with an eyeroll. She was a thin, strong woman, with a long wrinkled face and sharp grey eyes which were still able to scare any of her seven remaining children into submission, even self-important James and vicious Isabel. Roberta was the only one who dared to rebel against her, but Roberta was dead now. “It’s obvious that the care of the child should go to a married couple.”
The married among her children – James, Benjamin, Isabel, Wellington and Frederick – looked at her in apprehension of hearing her verdict.
“I and your father can’t be expected to take such a responsibility so late in life,” stated Ruth Stirling firmly. “Especially since Mildred is still under our care. Isabel, as she just said, has two young children of her own; it would be hardly kind to burden her with another baby, especially a sickly one as this one is rumoured to be. I don’t think Benjamin’s father-in-law would welcome Roaring Abel’s child under his roof and we don’t want to spoil your relationship with him, Benjamin.”
Benjamin, who was a clerk in Mr Frost’s general store and, after marrying his boss’s only daughter, had reasonable expectations of buying into the business and inheriting it in its entirety one day, nodded sagely at that.
“Neither would it be wise to upset dear Mary’s father or indeed dear Mary herself mere weeks after her wedding,” continued Mrs Stirling. Marrying Mary Elliot was undoubtedly Wellington’s biggest achievement – Mary’s family was the richest this side of Port Lawrence – and making things difficult in his marriage was the last thing anybody in the Stirling clan intended to do. “Which leaves us with James or Frederick.”
James grimaced. The thought of taking in a baby – an offspring of his wild sister and the notorious Abel Gay no less! – didn’t sit well with him. He might have caved in for the reputation of generosity and benevolence it would give him though if his wife, a timid, pretty little thing, didn’t interject on the matter.
“Oh, let us take her, James!” she pleaded, her blue eyes imploring. “I’d love nothing more than to take care of a baby and since God hasn’t blessed us with one yet…”
She trailed off, seeing the clear refusal in her husband’s face even before he spoke.
“We can’t possibly do that, my dear,” said James condescendingly. “You have to think about your health first. It’s too delicate – much too delicate – to handle such a huge burden as a baby.”
Alice looked like she wanted to protest, but she didn’t, of course. He trained her better than that. James barely restrained a pleased smile at her deferring to his wisdom.
Nobody tried to quarrel with James or defend Alice; this was not how things were done in the Stirling clan. All eyes turned to Frederick and Amelia instead. They’ve been married for a year already, but didn’t have children of their own yet. Amelia was the only daughter of Amos Wansbarra who was neither rich nor completely respectable; there was no need to take into account neither her own nor her family’s opinions. And everybody knew that soft hearted Frederick could be talked into it.
As it turned out, they didn’t even have to talk him into it – to the horror of his wife, he volunteered.
“Of course Amelia and I will take her,” he announced cheerfully. “We have enough space and I dare say that Amelia would welcome something to do while I’m at work.”
Amelia stiffened at the implication that she didn’t have enough to keep her busy even without taking in the baby of a woman she disliked and a man whom she abhorred, but she didn’t dare to quarrel in the presence of the whole clan. Her position in it was still too tentative for her to risk it. She forced herself to smile.
“Of course,” she said with much less convincing enthusiasm. “We’ll do our best to bring up this girl as a good, obedient Christian.”
Everything agreed upon, the only thing which remained was to communicate the matter to Abel Gay, which they promptly did after Roberta’s funeral.
Abel laughed in their faces.

It was easier for me to live my life in the way I had started to live it after the war that happened at our home tree, it was easier for me to continue on this way without the constant reminder of the burden I carried after seeing my parents die trying to protect me, in fact it was the only way I knew how to live. I considered myself to be a different kind of caregiver amongst the clan and didn’t think of it any other way, I would take care of others in a way the tsahik didn’t have time to, and I would constantly check in with her to ensure she had enough herbs, plants, tree roots, and any other material she might need whenever we were experiencing a higher sick to healthy ratio.
If a mother had given birth the tsahik would frequently check on her to ensure she was healthy, the village would come together during the first week and ensure the family had some fruits to eat during the morning, and some of the food we would eat from our cook fires at night without the thought of them needing to pay us back in any way. If someone had come back injured after a hunting trip, the tsahik would tend to the warriors wounds while the village would come together and take care of their children, if they had any, to allow adequate time for them to rest.
When someone had given birth, I took it upon myself to given them the various options of string in order to help them choose one for their child's new song cord, I added a lot of beautiful shells and beads I would have found resembled the family in a way to ensure they could add newer beads to their own song cord to commemorate their addition, I would also include a blanket they could wrap their child in or a sling for them to carry their child against their chest when they decided to go back to work. Had a hunter been injured during an accident I made sure they had meat to cook if they were able to walk to the cook fires, if not I made sure to skin and slice the meat up for them to be able to cook them in their own kelku’s without causing them more pain during the preparation process.
It was easier for me to be able to take care of others in a way that nobody could take care of me, something I had come to recognize a while after being alone for some time, I didn’t mind it though, it was refreshing having the freedom to hunt at odd hours into the night, its when the animals least expected one of us to be out.
I was coming upon a yerik now, I had one more family I wanted to provide for as they had just given birth to their youngest child, I was sure they would need most of the yerik to feed their entire family, they had just had their fifth child and I’m sure it was tough to feed a family that big, but it was always seen as the biggest blessing whenever Eywa would allow one of our own to fall pregnant.
I hopped onto the next tree branch as the yerik moves to graze on some of the grass below it, taking a cautious step forward as I stabilize myself on the branch, leaning my body down on it so I was resting my stomach on it, gently grasping my bow and an arrow, placing it on the string of my bow as I carefully pull back. The yerik seemed to have been alerted by its pack as it raises its head, I freeze, he keeps his head up higher as if it was on alert before snorting from its snout and pushing his face back into the grass, I smile at the small victory and release my arrow and watch as it pierces its skin and straight into its pelt.
I smile to myself as I stand on the branch, ready to descend and say my final death prayer to the animal that had fallen over to the ground, kicking its several legs for a quick second, it bray’s in agony and defeat, but that was all I was able to hear before my own foot slipped on the wet branches below me. It must have rained before I decided to wake up and come hunt, and the funny thing is, nobody else was ever awake during the times I was so it would take a while for anyone to find me, I think this must have been karma for something I failed at in my younger years, but I didn’t have time to contemplate that as the world around me grew dark.
_________
The unfortunate thing of being mated for life was never knowing how long the two of you would have been together, for Jake and Neytiri it was from the moment they mated up until her death alongside the war of home tree, it wasn’t long but for him the moments leading up to it were worth it. He often found himself wandering off in the middle of the night, taking walks to calm his mind in order to get himself tired enough to go to sleep again, but for some reason it wasn’t working. He had a feeling that had somehow been tugging at his heart to continue searching for something, whatever it was he hadn’t known, until he stumbled upon one of the Na’Vi woman down on her back, her bow and arrows scattered beside her, a yerik heaving heavily, and the woman’s arm bend in a funny way.
He quickly pieced the puzzle together and landed next to the yerik first, knowing this was something the Na’vi would have wanted, before stating the death prayer aloud, allowing the hunt to not go to waste.
“Oel ngati kameie, ma tsmukan, ulte ngaru seiyi irayo. Ngari hu Eywa salew tirea, tokx ‘ì’awn slu Na’viyä hapxì.” He speaks fluently without pausing to think of his next words, grasping his hunting knife and digging it straight into the yerik’s heart and hearing it exhale one last time.
As soon as he’s done with the yerik he quickly moves over to the woman whose name vaguely came across to him as Y/n, attempting to wake her but not being successful, he sighs deeply before running back over toward one of the tree’s with low hanging branches, hacking his hunting knife at the somewhat thick branch several times and breaking it off the tree, snapping it in half and using it to stabilize her arm, ripping off some of the cloth from his tewng and tying it around her arm, grasping her over his shoulders and leaning down to grab one of the yerik’s many feet and making his way back to camp.
_________
I stirred out of my sleep but felt as though a million things were weighing me down, I slowly opened my eyes and quickly shut them as the light from the fire close to me had been to bright for my eyes to bear, my hand quickly coming up to attempt to put a buffer between myself and the brightness.
“It is good to see you are awake,” A familiar voice addresses me as I open my eyes once more, arm still in front of me and a searing pain shoots up my other arm, I look down and see my arm stabilized by some branches and placed in a cast by Mo’at’s handy work.
“I- what happened?” I asked as I attempted to go through my own memories and suddenly remembering everything that happened, wondering how it was that I managed to get here but still confused with that aspect.
“The Olo’eyktan was wandering around and stumbled upon you on the floor, your arm bent at an unnatural angle, and a yerik barely breathing by your side.” She speaks in an even tone, she stands from where she’s at and kneels down to take a look at my arm once more.
“This will hurt for a bit, I have made a tea for you to drink if the pain is too great, but use it sparingly as it can cause you to fall asleep easily. Feel free to stay here until morning as it is awfully late.” She encourages as she sits beside me.
“I would if I could but I have to skin and slice that yerik for the-“
“I already took care of that for you,” In stepped the Olo’eyktan with his arms crossed and a stern look on his face that would make a child start crying, I could only guess as to what he was thinking as he stepped in front of me, out of respect I sat up quickly but felt a pang on my head.
“Take it easy,” He stated quickly as he squats down in front of me.
“What were you doing out there by yourself, you could have gotten hurt worse than you did, or died if I hadn’t stumbled upon you.” His voice is rough like that of a friend who was worried, but I couldn’t wrap my head around it as I thought nobody else cared for me, I figured I blended in with the background enough, but was obviously proven wrong at this moment.
“I was getting the yerik for Sepwa and Antuk, they need the meat to feed their entire family and time away from the people to bond with their new baby. I was up because I fell asleep earlier in the day after finishing my chores, I should skin it and-“
“I said I took care of it,” He speaks sternly once more and it makes me calm down, allowing my body a second to relax after hearing he’d taken care of it, feeling my body’s energy drained as I suddenly felt tired.
“Let me leave you two alone to talk, if you need the tea I have left it on the table, I will take my leave now.” Mo’at spoke gently as she rose to her feet, elegantly taking her strides out of the healing hut.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t doing it on purpose, I just wanted to help.” I’d stated once Mo’at had disappeared.
“And I get that, but you need to learn that being compassionate has its limits too, when were you going to take a break for yourself?” He asks and its as if that thought had never hit me before.
“I- I don’t know.” I answered honestly as I looked around the healing hut before looking back into his eyes, feeling myself slowly growing tired.
“Get some rest, we’ll talk tomorrow.” He orders right as he turns around to walk away, but for the first time in my life, I decide to listen to someone else and decide to take care of myself by allowing myself to fall asleep at this moment. My head falls gently onto the pillow on the mat before me and I can welcome the darkness in as I finally allow myself to drift off into the world of dreams.

Katsuki reincarnated into Avatar: TWOW part 2
“*English*”
“/Japanese/”
“Navi”
Katsuki’s POV:
I’ve found out a lot about this new world I’m in, like the deity Eywa… after learning about her I’ve been able to feel her around me… I don’t know why I can it’s just something that started, I have learnt how to speak like my clan now, I could understand them before thankfully but I had to learn to speak it properly, i still speak Japanese and English when I’m alone to make sure I can still speak it incase I need to.
“*I need to train my quirk, my body should be able to support it… hopefully*” I said, “*let’s try a small explosion*” i mumbled, I opened my hand and concentrated to make sure it was only a small explosion… “*yes it worked!!*” I nearly yelled out in happiness, “Katsuki h-how did you do that thing with your hand??” My brother said tapping my shoulder, “and what were you saying?” He said watching me, “….it’s a thing that allows me to do some stuff that others can’t do… also I was learning a language incase I need the knowledge of it one day…” I say my ears drooping, “please don’t tell anyone!!” I say hoping he doesn’t, “ok I won’t tell, but can I also learn that language??” He asks with puppy eyes, “thank you Aonung! I’ll start teaching you tomorrow!” I replied. We spent the whole day together I showed him more of my quirk as well when he asked.
Time skip…
The horn blew when they landed… they definitely weren’t from our clan or any nearby, they were absolutely beautiful… especially the one that seemed my age… he’s gorgeous… I somehow missed everything happening beside watching the guy… until now.
“My children Tsireya, Aonung and Katsuki will teach your children our ways and will now lead you to your new Marui Jakesully” my father says, I nod and head over to Tsireya and lead them with her…
On the way the youngest bounces on the path and looks at me, “you’re like dad!” She states pointing at me, making the rest of the Sullys gasp, “you’re also part sky demon?” The younger son asks, “I’m sorry what is a ‘sky demon’??” I ask since I never really got an answer before, “*Human*” Jake replied making me stop in shock that he knows English, “*you speak English as well?*” I asked now reaching their Marui, they all gasped at me, “how do you know that language??” He asked leaving a my siblings confused, “am I not allowed to know it?” I ask confused, “you really shouldn’t know that language…” he says now dragging me inside his family following, my siblings just left to go into the water, “*the only way you could know the language is if someone taught you…*” he says, “*I taught myself how to speak this language…*” I state, “*ok… so you’re an avatar… how?*” he says, “*I was just born this way why?*” I reply acting confused even if I know the answer… “*you’re existence confuses me greatly Katsuki.. you’re name isn’t a Navi name…*” mrs sully says looking at me, “*that’s because it isn’t really*” I state looking back at her, “*you are strange Katsuki… also I swear your name is familiar but I don’t know why…*” Jake says, “*in due time things may be revealed? I guess? Anyways I’ll leave you all to unpack bye!*” I state leaving…. “that was really awkward… I think I’ll go for a swim now….” I say jumping into the water.
Anyways that’s the end of this chapter! I hope you enjoyed and have a lovely day bye!!
