Explaining Periods to The Sullys
synopsis: reader explains what a period is to the Sully kids (with the help of kiri)
pairings: neteyam x reader implied couple(aged up), reader x sully kids + spider
genre: idk, informative??/ comedy???
author's note: you guys didn't forget about dr. max patel, right? I barely see him in anyone's writing. proofread once
warnings: mention of female bodies(?), periods, blood, slight gun mention(nothing violent), maybe a few swear words, slight suggestive comment, slight stabbing threat(threat was made as a joke- calm down guys)
word count: 1.6k words
"OOF" you rubbed your forehead as your butt had just landed on the floor.
"I'm always forgetting that my avatar form is taller than my human body" you sighed as you got up.
"This is the third time this week that you've bumped into that doorpost" Norm snickered before hitting himself on the light bulb above him that was illuminating the lab.
"Crap" he murmured, rubbing the top of his head in pain.
"Ha!" you let out in retaliation.
Spider and Lo'ak laughed at the scene unfolding while Kiri and Neteyam rolled their eyes.
"Anyways, what was it that you kids wanted from the lab?" Norm squinted at the Sully kids, weary of their intentions.
"We just wanted to see where it is that y/n does all of her experiments" Lo'ak responded as he played around with the light fixtures, flipping through some different light colors illuminating a plant.
"Whatever, just don't break anything or the top scientist with have my head for any more expenses." Norm warned
"It's alright, Norm. I'm watching them. They won't break anything. And if they do, I won't take Lo'ak hunting again." You reassured him.
"Hey, what do I have to do with that! You know if you don't teach me how to use one of those rifle thingies then I'll have to wait for my dad. And you know how that is. The last time he taught me was months ago, he's been too busy teaching Neteyam." Lo'ak side eyed his older brother.
"Pff, it's not my fault that you're not responsible enough and that dad gets nervous every time you have a gun in your hands." Neteyam shot back.
"But-"
"Then you'll just have to stop touching everything you see in the lab, Lo'ak. You see? Easy peasy. Problem solved. Then you won't break anything and I can give you your next lesson tomorrow." You patted Lo'ak's back and gave Norm a reassuring smile. 'Don't worry,' you mouthed and turned around, focusing your attention on the Sully kids.
"So, what's the plan?" you tilted your head in question.
"Well, I've gotta get a new oxygen tank for my mask and-" Spider headed for the cabinets
"SPIDER, are you for real?"
"What?" he shook his shoulder in question.
"You're still using those crappy RDA masks that need a wire and oxygen tank and all of that. I thought Norm gave you the new ones, from my research company."
"You own a company?" Max teased as raised his eyebrows at you.
"No... you know what I mean. I mean the science department that I'm part of. The new scientists that came to Pandora after your disastrous RDA was kicked out." You shot a look at the doctor.
"Really, you didn't have to go that far..."
"Oh, lighten up Max." you patted his shoulders. "Anyways, where are those new masks? Spider needs one, he's still using those outdated ones."
"Really, those old masks shouldn't even work anymore." Max shook his head and handed Spider a mask, "Here you go, kid."
"I thought Norm gave him one." Max crossed his arms while conversing.
"Nah, I guess Norm's been too distracted with the Na'vi school he took over after Grace" You shrugged.
"Yea... well, see you later guys, I have some more research to work on." he waved before walking away.
"So, Spider, let's get this thing on. All you have to do is take off all of those wires and that old mask. Next, just put this one on like you did the old one and adjust it and it should start working immediately." You helped Spider with the process while Kiri visited her mother's avatar body.
"No tank or anything?" Spider questioned.
"Nope, this has a little filter thing that automatically filters out the carbon and nitrogen inside the mask. No more heavy tank for you to use." You threw the old air tank to the disposal pile and was headed towards one of your plants before being interrupted by Lo'ak.
"Hey y/n, what's this?" Lo'ak held up a packet of pills.
"Lo'ak, put that back." Neteyam scolded before snatching the pills from his hand and placing it back on your table.
"It says, birth-control," Lo'ak scrunched his eyebrows while reading the words on the wrapper.
"Take once a day to prevent pregnancy..."Spider read aloud before putting the pills back.
"Woah..." Lo'ak and Spider let out in unison before giving you and Neteyam looks.
"Are you guys...doing ummm...having errr" Lo'ak stumbled as tried to get the words out of his mouth.
"First of all, that's none of your business! Second, those pills aren't even for my avatar body. They're for my human body, and not for what you think it is."
"Then for what?" Spider raised his eyebrows at you.
"They're for my period. But only for my human body because my avatar doesn't get periods." You sighed in having to explain periods to fifteen-year-old boys.
"What's a period?" Lo'ak asked.
"Women things." Kiri responded as she rolled her eyes at her brother's nosiness.
"And how would you know? You're a na'vi." Spider interrogated.
"Because girls talk to girls about things they don't talk to boys about. Duh." Kiri shot back.
"So, what is it?" Lo'ak waved his hands in question.
"Yea, what's a, um- a period? Isn't that the little dot that goes at the end of a sentence? At least that's what Norm taught me..." Spider trailed off.
"Yea, you're partially correct, Spider," you gave a small nod as you thought about how you were going to explain things.
"But umm.. I'm talking about a different type of period called menstruation. It's when a female human bleeds for 5-7 days straight each month." you let out as you saw Spider's and Lo'ak's faces change from curiosity to shock.
"L M F A O- Is that how you spell it? FIVE TO SEVEN DAYS STRAIGHT?? You've got to be kidding me. You don't expect us to believe that, right? I mean, sometimes Spider and I do dumb things but you don't expect us to be stupid enough to fall for that, right?" Lo'ak simply stared at you, waiting for a response.
"No, she's right. You guys could definitely learn a thing or two about humans." Neteyam rolled his eyes at his younger brother's ignorance.
"Wait, wait, wait," Spider held his arms out in shock, "You actually bleed for up to a week and don't die? How the hell do you not die?"
"And why do you bleed for that long? And from where are you bleeding?" Lo'ak pitched in.
"She's bleeds from her pu-"
"Kiri." Neteyam warned.
"What? It's true. Might as well be blunt with these two skxawngs." Kiri rolled her eyes again.
"So basically, when a human female starts getting more physically mature, sorta like coming of age.. Her body starts preparing for pregnancy every month. It basically lines the uterus and gets ready for a baby. When the body sees that there is no baby, the uterus starts shedding it's lining for about 5-7 days until it's cleaned up. The shedding comes out in blood and that's what causes the bleeding."
"..."
"What?" You cocked your head in question.
"So basically, because you didn't get knocked up, your body bleeds?" Lo'ak squints his eyes, trying to understand the information he was just given.
"What's so hard about that?" Spider shrugged.
"WH- WHAT'S SO HARD ABOUT THAT?! Are you guys kidding me or what?" You mouth drops at the nonsense you hear coming from the younger boy's mouth.
"You bimbos, it's not just bleeding. It involves many symptoms such as heavy cramping, back pain, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, mood swings, headaches, appetite changes , and more." Kiri stated as she crossed her arms.
"So the symptoms of a cold, big deal." Spider spat out, trying to minimize the severity of everything.
"Oh I'm sorry, did you just say big deal? Maybe I should put a fucking knife in your stomach to see if that's a big deal or not because that's what the cramps feel like. Or maybe, better... I should kick you in the fucking balls, right?" You lashed out at the boy in front of you.
"Damn, chill, he didn't mean it, right, Spider?"Lo'ak tried to calm the situation, "Maybe she's on her period right now..." he whispered.
"Avatars don't have periods you dingbat" Neteyam let out.
"Well maybe her human form is experiencing cramps in the link pod and so the emotions are traveling through the conscious connection and that's why she's so cranky." Spider stepped back, not trying to get on your bad side.
"..."
You only blinked in response as Kiri and Neteyam bursted out laughing.
"What in the name of eywa..."
"I've never heard so much bullshit come out of someone's mouth before." Neteyam shook his head at the human boy's imagination. "You know, y/n told me that humans usually read a big guide book before joining the avatar program... well maybe you should read one on human biology. It's only fitting since you're ehh, you know..." Neteyam trailed off.
"Ha, I'm glad I wasn't the one to say something stupid this time" Lo'ak applauded himself.
"Nah, you too Lo'ak. How about you read it with Spider so you can both giggle at the pictures and whatever shit you two happen to read" you turned away from the boys as you went back to examining the plants you were experimenting on.
"Does she really bleed from her va-" Lo'ak was cut off.
"And for a week straight..." Spider chimed in.
"Shut up!" Kiri's voice rang through your ears as you quietly giggled to yourself.

Hey! Can I ask a one shot where lo'ak goes hunting at night and finds a newborn abandoned babygirl about to be attacked by a creature, and he saves her and soothes her crying by rocking her gently on his chest? Then maybe he could bring her to his parents and the family would adopt her, and lo'ak could not leave her side (always holding/kissing/cuddling her) since the day he found her and they would become an adorable sibling duo?
Note: So... I'm writing it as a reader one shot.... which it isn't really a one shot that I'm used to, I feel like I'm suck at this, but oh well, hope it turned out okay and it's just me feeling it 😉
Note 2: And didn't know where to stop at this, so.... 😑
The Youngest Sully
Pairing: Sully family x Adopted!daughter!reader
Masterlist (requests are currently open for now)
On the day you were found out there, a baby screaming which attracted not only Jake Sully and his son, Lo'ak, to your location but also creatures, which one of them was a viperwolf.
That creature would have eaten you if Lo'ak and Jake didn't show up and got rid of it. You wouldn't stop crying until Lo'ak picked you up and held you against his chest.
On that day, his life and his family changed.
You seemed to have been only a few days old and with no one claiming you, Lo'ak's family took you in.
With Tuk been older than you by three years, you were the youngest Sully. You grew up to have a close bond with everyone in your adoptive family, especially with Lo'ak.
Despite Neytiri and Jake weren't your true parents, you were sharing Neytiri's gentle and nurturing spirit, and taking care of small animals and plants that you would come across. But you were also sharing Jake's adventurous spirit and love for exploration.
You had a mischievous streak, enjoying pushing boundaries and testing the limits, much to the dismay of your older siblings who often find themselves having to rescue you.
Neytiri was a nurturing and caring mother, she always made sure to spend as much time with you as much as possible, playing around, teaching you things, and taking you on adventures in the forest. She was overly protective of you, always making sure you stay safe and are not put in any unnecessary danger. Your bond with Neytiri was very strong, with you looking up to your mother as a hero.
Your relationship with Jake was of a father and daughter of course. Jake was always there to support you and encourage your curious nature. With you, he was patient and understanding, always taking the time to listen to your thoughts and concerns, just like with Kiri and Tuk. Despite his tough exterior, Jake had a soft spot for you and would do anything to make you happy.
Neteyam was a role model for you, setting a good example and always looking after you. He show a lot of patience towards you. You would enjoy spending time with Neteyam, following him around, and trying to imitate his actions sometimes. He would be like another dad to you.
Lo'ak, been the one who sometimes causes trouble, have always been cautious when you were around and since that day he and his father found you, he hardly really let you out of his sight. But when he wandered off, he made sure you weren't following him around to dangerous places.
But he couldn't always stop you, because just like Tuktirey, you were bubbly and energetic, and always eager to follow your siblings on their escapades on Pandora.
You and Lo'ak shared a very strong bond since that day he found you, at every cry he was there to calm you down; rocking you gently to his chest, holding your hand (especially on your first try on walking), cuddling you when you couldn't sleep.
Kiri was a constant companion, showing you Pandora and teaching you about the ways of the Na’vi. She was a nurturing and protective older sister, often helping to take care of you and looking out for your well-being. You were sharing her strong connection to nature and animals, always looking for new creatures to add to your collection of treasured trinkets and mementos.
Tuk, been older than you by three years, took her responsibility as a big sister seriously, which in your parents' eyes was very adorable. Since you learned how to walk (and ran) she followed you around to make sure you were safe. She, like your older siblings, was very protective over you.

a/n: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for all the love shown on my other stories, i absolutely adore seeing how much you guys enjoy them. hugs and kisses for everyone 🫶🏽
part two here !!
̩͙✧ ₊˚. ೃ
y/n and her brother, ao’nung, were hanging out with his best friend, rotxo, when the sully family arrived out of the blue.
she walked behind her brother and spotted the dark blue skinned na’vi. she tried to look at them closer out of curiosity once they were on the beach with them but ao’nung slapped the back of head to stop her.
“ow!”
“don’t go near them.” he scolded. she mocked him and went to stand by his side.
she she looked toward them again, she spotted a pretty girl her age, studying the village persons while tugging a fishnet around her.
y/n smiled softly before kiri turned to spot her. her expression softened but she quickly looked away when a tsurak flew over the family.
they ducked in fear and looked over to see it was y/n’s father, chief tonowari.
he landed in the water and cautiously made his way toward the family while still walking with pride.
they talked for a while, ronal insulted the family, ao’nung made fun of them, but y/n was too distracted to pay attention.
she didn’t even pay attention when her mother started to insult the children, calling them demons and showing off their disfigurements.
well, she didn’t until she caught a glimpse of kiri’s face.
they calmed down and tonowari managed to convince ronal to let them stay.
and he later assigned his children to teaching the newcomers children how to swim and live in the water.
“this is ao’nung, tsireya, and my youngest, y/n.” he said proudly.
“thank you. thank you- uh, this is my son neteyam, kiri, our daughter..” jake sully pointed to kiri.
y/n smiled at her and kiri shyly returned it.
“my son lo’ak, and our youngest daughter tuk.” he patted tuk’s head gently and she smiled brightly.
tsireya offered to help take their things to their new home and y/n was about to go with her.
tonowari held her back for a moment though, with a stern look.
“i will only tell you this once. be nice and do not cause trouble.”
she sighed with irritation.
“i mean it.”
“you always assume the worst of me, father-“
“y/n.”
“okay! okay, fine. i promise.” she shrugged. he nods and sends her off to help the family.
the second y/n turned around, she rolled her eyes with the most annoyed face any teenager could make.
she made her way to kiri’s ikran, watching the creature with caution.
“hi.. uh, i’m y/n.” she said to kiri.
“i know. nice to meet you.” kiri nodded.
“here, i can help.” y/n took a heavy bag filled with kiri’s extra clothes and accessories from her hand.
kiri smiled softly. “thank you.”
“follow us. we’ll take you to your new home.” she nodded.
they walk across the woven bounds walkways to an empty marui. kiri hesitated while entering the marui, seeing how different it was to her old home.
“do you not like it?” y/n asked kiri.
“it’s okay. just very different:” kiri shrugged,
“you will get used to it soon. uh, where should i put this?” she asked kiri.
kiri shrugs and looks around the little corners in the marui. they settled on one and they put kiri’s stuff down.
“i should go. we’ll be in the reef later for your lessons. i’ll see you there, right?” y/n asked, trying to hide her excitement.
“yeah. sure.” kiri shrugs, not looking up.
y/n frowned a bit. she didn’t want kiri to be disappointed with her new home.
“i know you probably miss your old home but you’re going to love it here in the reef.” she said to her quietly.
kiri looks up at her. “i hope so.”
y/n smiled and left the marui after briefly greeting kiri’s parents. she followed her sister to the beach near the coral reefs.
her and her siblings and rotxo waited around on the beach for the children to arrive.
“i can’t believe we got stuck with the forest freaks.” ao’nung grumbled.
“shut up!” y/n snapped while sitting atop a boulder.
he glared at his sister. “how would you like if you moved to a whole new place and the kids there made fun of you?” she grumbled.
“well, it’s not me, so who cares.” ao’nung muttered.
“hey, she’s right.” tsireya scolded.
“whatever. this whole thing sucks.” he muttered to rotxo.
he laughed quietly when the silly kids arrived.
“hi!” tsireya greeted.
they all waved and mutter quiet greeting while tuk was so eager to say hi to them.
they told the kids about the reef and the animals that lived within it and the metkayina friends didn’t think twice about diving into the water.
the group swam into the open waters with animals and coral making their home shine with color and beauty.
as they swam deeper and deeper, closer to the ocean floor, they noticed the omaticaya kids kept floating near the surface.
y/n looked over at her friend, rotxo.
“what’s wrong with them?” he signed.
y/n simply shrugged and looked back up at them.
tsireya signed to them, “come swim with us.”
they held out theirs hands with confused faces and y/n couldn’t help but laugh.
as she stared up at them, she noticed that kiri wasn’t with the two older boys and her little sister.
the friends swam up to the surface to talk to them.
“what’s wrong? are you tired?” y/n asked them.
“you’re too fast. wait for us!” tuk whined, wiping her face and breathing heavily.
“aw!” y/n muttered.
ao’nung and rotxo caught up with his sisters.
“you are not good divers.” ao’nung said.
“maybe good at swimming through trees, but..”
tsireya slapped the back of his head before he could continue.
“you’re just not used to it. we’ll teach you how to swim like us.” y/n said to them.
“alright but what’s this.. finger talk? we don’t know what you’re saying.” neteyam asked, waving his fingers.
“sign language. we can teach you that too.” tsireya said to him.
“wait, guys, where’s kiri?” rotxo asked the group.
her brother started to look around them.
“kiri?”
“where’s kiri?”
y/n looked around the surface and kiri wasn’t anywhere there. she dived into the water and swam to the coral reefs near the village.
she found kiri swimming with an ilu and smiling while petting it.
y/n smiled at how pretty she looked and swam closer to her.
once she approached her, she waved her hand to grab her attention. she waved her hand, gesturing to kiri for her to follow her and the two girls swam back up to the surface.
“i found her. she’s okay.” y/n breathed out once they were with the rest of the group.
the kids ended up spending the days together, teaching them to hold their breath, teaching them sign language, and about the animals and how to ride them.
y/n’s crush on kiri grew larger by the day, and so did kiri’s.
one day, kiri wanted to be on her own. not in a lonely, depressing, no-one-likes-me way.
in a cute aesthetic alone girly way. she laid in the shallow waters by the beach, facing down and watching the crabs hide under the sand.
when ao’nung and some of his friends were wandering around the beach, they found kiri in her position.
kiri was entranced by the animals until the bullies came to ruin it. she heard them say something and lifted her head up to see who was saying things.
“hm? did you say something?” she asked kindly, standing up to look at them properly.
ao’nung’s smirk grew. “are you some kind of.. freak?” he asked.
his other friend continued teasing. “he asked if you were a freak.”
the others laughed under their breaths.
kiri scoffs. “no..”
she tried walking past them but they surrounded her.
“are you sure? i mean, you’re not even real na’vi.” ao’nung chuckled.
“just look at your hands.” he pointed to kiri’s hand.
kiri tried ignoring them but they wouldn’t get out of her way.
ao’nung then got a hold of her hand. “i mean, look at them!” he laughed tauntingly.
kiri glared at the boy and snatched her hand back. they started making fun of her other attributes before her brother come up to the beach to tell them to back up.
y/n had just finished hunting and was making her way down the beach, from the far side of the village.
then she saw her brother and his friends pulling lo’ak’s tail and pushing him around, calling the siblings names. she grew incredibly furious.
she dropped her things on the sand and rushed over.
she pushed her brother off of lo’ak.
“what’s wrong with you?” she scolded.
“y/n, go home. we’re just having some fun.” he said, rolling his eyes.
“it doesn’t look like they’re having fun.” she responded.
she turned to look at kiri. “are you okay? are you?” she asked lo’ak.
lo’ak scoffs and steps away from the friends to stand by kiri.
“we’re fine.” kiri said.
“listen to your big brother, little girl.” one of ao’nung’s friends said. he shoved her shoulder and she glared at him.
“don’t touch me.” she hissed
“what are you going to do? cry?” he teased, pushing her once more.
“you’re friends with these freaks now?” another asked y/n.
ao’nung stepped in. “alright that’s enough.” he shoved them away from his sister.
he looks down at her. “just go home. you’ll probably make things worse for us anyways.”
she rolls her eyes. she looks at the siblings who were now joined by neteyam, who was out swimming and heard all the yelling before coming to see them.
“come on. let’s get you home.” y/n sighed out,
they started to walk off the beach with y/n behind them and the friends started taunting the siblings as they walked away.
y/n heard all the hurtful things coming out of ao’nung’s mouth and was disappointed. she had looked up to him her whole life and then she finds out that this is the kind of boy he wants to be.
“she’s a freak just like that one.”
y/n sighs and turned around. the one who most annoyed her was the friend that looked like rotxo. but was uglier.
“what’d you say?” she slowly made her way to the boy.
“i said you’re. a. fre-“
before he could finish, y/n threw her fist into the boy’s jaw, making him stumble backward, and then another time. this time and uppercut to the chin, making him fall over.
she shook her hand a bit, feeling her knuckles pulse from hitting him so hard. she looked down and her knuckles were bright red.
“y/n!” a stern voice called out. y/n paused in fear and glanced over to see her father charging over to the group.
they all tried shuffling to get out of tonowari’s way before he looked at the scene in front of him.
the boy’s nose was bleeding and was being held by his friend and the siblings were watching in fear, amusement, and admiration.
in that order. neteyam was scared for y/n, lo’ak thought she was the coolest person ever, and kiri didn’t know whether she wanted to be her or be with her.
“we’re going home.” he said quietly. he stepped aside and y/n started walking down the beach while holding her fist in her other hand.
as y/n walked past kiri, she smiled softly at her before continuing.
once the father and daughter were in their marui, he didn’t waste any time in scolding her.
“what did i tell you? hm?” he asked.
she sighed. “do not cause trouble.”
“but you go ahead and cause trouble anyway.” he grumbled.
she kept her eyes down at her feet, still holding her fist in her other hand.
“you are constantly disobeying my orders. what am i going to do with you?” he sighed angrily.
“father, ao’nung and his friends were making fun of kiri and her family. i was defending them. i didn’t-”
“that doesn’t mean you can hit people. ” he said angrily.
she sighed and looks down.
“you will be punished. no riding your ilu for a month, do you understand?”he said, pointing his finger at her.
y/n looks down at her fist before up at her father again.
“yes, sir.”
tonowari nods leaves the marui for her to be on her own and y/n tries her best to scream quietly.
she didn’t want to be alone at home, so she left and went back to the beach to patch up her fist.
she was struggling the wrap the bandages around her hand and kept cleaning up blood so it would spill everywhere.
“need some help?” someone asked. y/n looks up and sees kiri’s head peeking out through large plants growing out of the sand.
“oh.. kiri, hi.” y/n smiled.
kiri walks over and sits with her legs crossed in front of y/n.
she helped clean the wound before slowly wrapping it.
“you punched that boy.. because of you? right?” kiri started.
“what?”
“you punched him because he called you a freak.” kiri repeated.
“no, i punched him because he called you a freak.” y/n said.
“you didn’t have to do that, you know.” kiri sighs.
“why?” y/n muttered.
“he’s right. i am a freak. you shouldn’t punch people because they’re right.” she said softly.
“kiri, he was not right. you are not a freak because you’re different.” y/n said.
kiri stays looking down at her hand.
“but i’m still different.”
“so? it’s good to be different. do you know how boring it would be if we were all the same?” y/n said, laughing slightly.
kiri laughs along too. she finished up with the bandages and turns y/n’s hand over so her palm is facing up.
“i think your hands are cool.” y/n said.
kiri looks at her with an amusing look. “what? really?”
y/n nods. kiri smiled and looked back down at their hands.
“and i also think it’s cute how you have small fangs.” y/n chuckled.
“that’s a weird compliment.” kiri said looking up.
“i mean what i say.” y/n shrugged.
kiri laughs slightly. “no one’s really said that to me before. my brothers usually make fun of my fangs.”
“why? you’re so cute.” y/n smiled.
kiri’s heart was pounding outside her chest. she never thought of herself as cute until y/n said something.
“you know you don’t have to say.. these things right? i know i’m weird,-“
“kiri, you are not weird. and you are not a freak.” y/n grumbled.
kiri’s eyes widened at her sudden change of tone, making y/n laugh softly.
“i know you think that because you’re born from a human that you’re weird and different and a freak but honestly?.. you’re really cool!”
“huh? how am i cool?” she laughed.
“well, first this hair. it’s so silky and thin.” her hand rose to kiri’s short hair and she fluffed it up and down.
“you don’t have to sit for hours having your hair braided, do you?” she asked kiri, taking her hand back.
“i guess not, but-“
“and your hands! come on, compared to yours, mine are more weird. look.” she put her hand up to kiri’s and they put their palms against each others.
kiri’s hand was slightly bigger with her pinky finger sticking out.
“and what are these? you have hair on your face.” y/n put her fingers up to kiri’s eyesbrows and she traced them with her thumbs on each hand.
“uh- okay, y/n-“ kiri sputtered, pulling her head back slightly.
“so cool! you’re like a super na’vi.” y/n muttered in admiration.
kiri laughs and takes her wrist, taking her hand away from her face. her grip softened and she held y/n’s hand in hers.
“you’re my friend now.” y/n said.
“and it’s important that my friends are comfortable with themselves. and know how to care for themselves.” she continued.
it seemed almost impossible for kiri to look y/n in the eye. she felt that if she would, she’d kiss her and wouldn’t be able to stop.
“it’s important you know who you are. you are not a freak. not a weirdo.” y/n said. every word that poured out of her mouth was true.
kiri breathed out and finally replied. “i’ve been told things like that my entire life.. but i don’t think i have believed it until you said it.” she said, sounding almost surprised.
“why is that, kiri?” y/n asked. she was genuinely curious as to why kiri was just now believing this.
y/n’s face was now just an inch away from kiri’s. she wanted to kiss her but wasn’t sure if she actually should.
neither of them were sure. but they knew they very much wanted to.
kiri’s head mixed with how she should answer y/n and whether she should just kiss her.
they still held each other’s hands and y/n was beginning to lean into her.
“i think it’s because.. i like you. more than i’ve ever liked anyone.” kiri said softly. she grew lost in y/n’s bright blue eyes that shined like aquamarine.
y/n’s heart picked up the pace, hearing kiri’s words. she smiled softly before leaning in closer and kissing kiri.
all their problems disappeared in an instance. kiri’s hand went up to y:n’s head where she held it.
they pull away for a moment to look at each other before smiling into another kiss.
y/n’s bandaged hand went to the back of kiri’s neck as she kissed her, feeling ecstatic now that she knew kiri felt the same way.
after years of believing it was bad for kiri to be different, it wasn’t until she met her that she realized that being a freak is not who she truly is.
and it’s time she stopped believing it.

Love At First Sight
Synopsis: How each of these characters would experience love at first sight.
EVERYONE IS 20+ NOT MINORS
(Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, Tsireya, Ao'nung)
Jake Sully
ok wo we have basically already seen Jake experiencing love at first sight with Neytiri
BUT I WILL GO INTO GREAT DEPTH
Jake 'cool guy' Sully is a major romantic
he has no shame in flirting and letting you know how he feels. none at all.
so I think it would happen somewhat similar to the first avatar movie, you rescue the dummy avatar about to get eaten
he sees you
and this is one of the few times Jake does not have a flirty pick up line ready to go
you're just so ethereal
he chokes on his spit a little bit
but Jake recovers smoothly
I like to think Jake has his own version of the Flynn Ryder smolder and BOY IS HE USING IT ON YOU
smoldering. everywhere.
puffing out his chest??? constantly???
but on the inside he is giggling, feet kicking in the air
I also feel like Jake is a blusher
I mean the tiniest thing could set him off
eye contact
physical contact
eye contact during the physical contact
he will blush at the drop of a hat and this BOTHERS HIM SO MUCH
LIKE HE TRULY FINDS IT SO ANNOYING
but its actually really cute
I don't think Jake would right off the bat be like "OH we're in love"
but he is the type to be like "we're meant to be fs"
I love him.
Neytiri
Neytiri is not like Jake
at all
I feel like you guys would meet in the village
doing something mundane like weaving or picking fruits near the village
and she'd see you before you saw her
ALARM BELLS IMMEDIATELY
she's hiding behind a tree now watching as you delicately pick fruits and put it in your woven basket
I doubt the Na'vi have stories of love at first sight the way humans do
so she was flabbergasted
im talking her flabber was absolutely gasted.
why was her heart beating so fast?
her hands were sweating?
for why?
you eventually clock her hiding spot and peak ur head around the trunk of the tree, greeting her with a shy 'hi'
Neytiri is having a panic attack
she barely registers her own voice responding to you
Neytiri will look confused for this whole encounter
these feelings are very new to her
she kind of studies you a little, looking you up and down, eyes tracing over the intricate beading of your fkxile
I feel like in the end Neytiri would admit to herself that she was in love
it was the only explanation for how she felt
she wouldn't be outright flirting but lets be so astronomically fr
Neytiri is oozing rizz she just doesn't know it
Neteyam
Neteyam is like his mom
I know exactly how you guys would meet.
he would have minor injuries from a hunt gone sideways or something of the sort
and he goes back to the stronghold, looking for kiri- she was usually the one to tend to his wounds
a little sibling bonding moment
only kiri is busy helping someone else who is far worse for wear than Neteyam
so he goes to his grandmother...who is also busy
but she quickly calls someone over
its a name Neteyam doesn't recognize
and then you walk in
if the color could drain out of his face...it would
you were absolutely breathtaking
and immediately he felt like he was gonna puke
pretty people make him nervous
because of his nerves he'd be very short
I feel like at first you'd think he just didn't like you, or would rather be helped by someone else
but oh well, you were healing him and he'd have get over it
every time you touch him Neteyam gets even more rigid, eyes wide and staring at the same place in the hut
his mind is also going a mile a minute because holy fuck you're beautiful, you're touching him, you're talking to him, and he is absolutely bombing rn
it isn't until you hit him with a line confirming his thoughts
"I know im probably not the first person you'd choose to tend to your wounds, but bare with me I am almost done."
hes blushing fr fr
"NO. no. im just a little tired. we have not met before, I am Neteyam"
you smile up at him
its the start of a beautiful relationship
Kiri
BRO
KIRI IS SUCH A FLIRT
MAJOR RIZZ
KIRIZZ
I think you guys would probably meet in the forest
she was prancing around just admiring the beauty
you were doing something idk
picking flowers
washing things in the river
something cutesy
kiri would for sure initiate the conversation
and she is making direct, intense, eye contact the whole time
kiri's smile is reaching her eyes so beautifully it has you blushing
WAIT SHE'S ALSO A MAJOR TEASE TOO
LIKE YOU GUYS WOULD TALK FOR A LITTLE AND GET COMFORTABLE AROUND EACH OTHER AND SHE WOULD START FLIRTING BUT HER FLIRTING IS LIKE TEASING/MEAN FLIRTING
AND IT HAS YOU BLUSHING SO HARD BRO
I feel like kiri is also very touchy while she's flirting
in a respectful way
for example
you guys are talking and she'd run her hand along your arm
or reach out and 'fix' the beads around your neck
or or or
she'd push your hair behind your ear
SHE WOULD GRAB YOUR HAND TOO
LIKE YALL ARE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING AND SHE WOULD JUST GRAB YOUR HAND AS A WAY OF PUNCTUATING HER SENTENCE YA KNOW
"we should weave baskets together!" *grabs your hand*
but yeah kiri has astronomical rizz and she knows it
you know it too
Lo'ak
Lo'ak is just like his dad
I mean
EXACTLY
LIKE
JAKE
its almost as if Jake wrote a book, titled Sully Rizz, and Lo'ak has read and annotated that book cover to cover
you guys would meet after he just got yelled at by his dad
cliche I know but... its Lo'money you know how it is
and his dad would've been upset with him for wandering off and going into the 'dangerous' parts of the forest without telling anybody
basically Lo'ak was just going places he wasn't supposed and not letting people know in case of emergency
he'd be grumbling and mumbling to himself about how this is 'so unfair' or 'so not cool'
aND BAM
he's walked into someone
and he is quite literally about to beat this person's ass, he is just so frustrated and mad
then he sees you
hs never seen you before
but suddenly his anger is melting away???
he can feel himself calming down???
he's never felt like this with anyone before, and all you were doing was looking up at him
he did open and close his mouth a couple times like a fish before regaining his composure...kinda
"oh, oH, no no, my fault."
he'd smirk
rizz turned on to 100
HE HAS A 'SMOLDER' FACE TOO
he's using it on you 100%
on the inside he is absolutely screaming and giggling and so excited to tell Spider and Neteyam about you
on the outside he is suave, flirty, charming...but almost a little too much
he's overdoing the flirting just a little, and he can tell because you're looking at him like 🤨
and then he'd exhale, his puffed chest would go down, and he'd smile sheepishly
"we should go talk somewhere...if-if you're not busy."
he got in trouble again for being out late
but honestly??? he couldn't find it in him to care, not when he's holding the pretty rock you found for him.
Tsireya
alright y'all
the way of water????? nah. the way of rizz
the charm just flows in, out, and around Tsireya like water
but immediately it would all be gone
dried
poofed
upon seeing you
she would be a blushing, giggling mess
at first she would be shy too, but then once she opened up a little in convo she'd have a habit of rambling
hi I love her so much???
I was gonna say y'all would meet when the Sully's came to Awa'atlu but we've already been there and seen that story line with Lo'ak and her in the movie
I think you guys would meet when she is working as a healer with her mom
it was after a hunt, everyone came back and you had a few cuts and scratches that were a little too deep to just ignore and go to bed
so you go into the healers tent, hoping someone would be able to help you and it is Ronal who has you sit on a mat and tells you to wait she'll bring over an 'apprentice'
the apprentice is Tsireya, Tsireya is the apprentice
she walks up to you, bowl of healing stuff in hand, and looks up just as she reaches the mat to meet your eyes
she nearly drops the bowl, it fumbles around a little in her hands before she gets control of it again
she's blushing
you are confused
introductions would be very short and she would have a ver difficult time making eye contact, like you'd meet her eyes and shed blush harder and look away
wAIT YOU GUYS WOULD HAVE THOSE MOMENTS WHERE LIKE SHES LOOKING CLOSELY AT WHAT UR DOING AND UR LOOKING TOO AND THEN YOU BOTH LOOK UP AND UR FACES ARE REALLY CLOSE
AH
anyway
I think after some small talk-initiated by you- she would open up a fair amount
the rizz is slowly coming back
she's making more eye contact
its ur turn to blush now
you guys end up spending a little too long talking and laughing together on the mat
she had finished dressing your cuts and scratches a long time ago, half the time she was just reapplying things to get you to stay longer
Ao'nung
bro doesn't have rizz
bro is just a little mean and calls it rizz
but it works!
for him I think you'd meet because you come in with the Sully family
you can decide if ur a sibling or a close friend they needed to bring along
in my personal opinion, I think Ao'nung would see you, be like what the fuck??? why do I feel like I can't breathe??? and then it would immediately switch to nah fuck them I don't like them
the first time you meet he'd be mad at you?
and you just thought it was because he didn't want you guys there
which was fair you guessed, but also??? that's fucked up fr
so you'd be the one to try and get close try and get closets him
always being partnered up for exercises
talking to him when you see him in the village
and Ao'nung is like??? what is this🤨
but he will warm up to you, comically fast
it's almost overnight
and suddenly its rizz galore
he's teasing you
very flirty
VERY TOUCHY ALSO
ALWAYS HAS A HAND ON YOUR ARM, WAIST, HIPS, WHATEVER
you can always feel him
Ao'nung kinda slays lowkey
I don't think he'd ever go through an awkward stage during this time tho
like he's showing you what he's feeling, he isn't hiding shit
Ao'nung W fr
I love this guy

You were a human born in Pandora like Spider, and just like him, you learned everything about the Omaticaya people. You learned the language, lifestyle and culture. Just like them you had fallen in love with the forest, yeah the air was toxic for you to breath but that didn't stop you.
Just like Spider you also went by a nickname, which was Stray, Jake had called you that since you were always around like a Stray, it sounded insulting but it wasn't in your opinion. While everyone called you Stray, Kiri was the only one that called you by your real name. It was weird at first, but you got used to it.
Kiri was explaining what a Songcord was, it was a string of beads that told the person's story, if a person were to die the Songcord will be sealed with one last bead and their song will be singed. It was very interesting information. Since you didn't have a Songcord like the rest of the Sully's, you were going to make one of your own.
That day while Spider and Lo'ak went hunting with Neteyam, you and Kiri were in the hut, she was teaching you on how to make a Songcord. Tuk wanted to join but she chose to go with her mom instead. You were sitting on a matt while Kiri was sitting on the opposite side of you. She had brought some beads and string she got from her grandmother. You really liked Mo'at since she didn't really saw you a threat, she saw you almost like another one of her grandkids.
You were focused on the string trying to tie the small bead that Kiri has handed to you, this first bead was for me being born. It was dark wooden little beads with small details carved into it. When finally got it to tie, it just snapped on me, sending my bead flying on the other side of the hut.
"Goddammit!" you cursed, while Kiri looked over at you, away from her work. "What is it?" she asked, seen you crawling over to get the bead and sat back down on the matt. "I can't tie this damn thing" you said frustrated, but this made Kiri chuckle by my impatience. "The reason why it keeps happening is because you're tense. You need to ease up a little" she said, getting another string from the little pile.
You watched as she Kiri took the bead from your palm and began to show you how tie it. She was surprisingly very patient, probably because she'd been doing this for a while. Then she was done and showed you "see, easy" she teased, making me even more frustrated. "Of course it's easy! You've been doing this for years Kiri" you said, making Kiri laugh.
"Have you thought about your song?" she asked, you shock your head. "Not really, I'm not very creative it." you said, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Oh come on, you have to have something" Kiri begged, you didn't comply at first but them you just gave in. "Fine, It's dumb but. It's about me being a Stray and who had found a family with you guys" you said, turning away, feeling your face get hot.
"Hm, not bad, but instead of Stray, why not use your name?" Kiri asked you, making your face feel a bit hotter. "I don't really go by my name Kiri, it's kind of embarrassing" you admitted. Kiri just smiled and rubbed your back in comfort. "It's really not, I call you Y/n" she said. "Yeah, but you are you. If It were Spider or Lo'ak, that's a whole different story" you chuckled, it was true, Spider and Lo'ak had tried calling you by your real name but it made you mad.
You then responded again. "What was my mom thinking when she called me that" you said, making Kiri giggle. "It's not so bad" she said, going back on her work, you got the Songcord and looked at it for a moment, your first bead was on, but what other beads can you add? "Hey Kiki?" you asked, getting a light hum from her.
"What other beads can I add to my Songcord? Is their a bead for being an orphan?" you teased, making the girl laugh by your foolishness. "No y/n, their isn't a bead for being an orphan." She continued to laugh "Dammit, we could of had a matching bead." You laughed "hey!" she yelled and threw a bead at you in your direction, causing you to laugh.

Undying Devotion
Pairing: Sully family x f!Omaticaya!reader / Aonung x f!Omaticaya!!reader (mostly at the end)
Warnings: Mention of harm (nothing graphic)
Words: 4k4
-> Requested.
Kneeling behind a bush, your gaze never left the imposing stature of the Hexapede you were trying to chase. Since High Camp, you had followed its tracks, inspecting the ground with great care to detect its footsteps among all those who had trampled this land. You had sniffed the air, letting the breeze blow the few braids that were not held in place at the back of your head, to find his scent. That's when the hunt really started. A chase that brought you alive, a chase that gave you a daily dose of adrenaline during the search, and dopamine once the beast was in your sights. With your father's bow in hand, you moved with the utmost discretion so as not to reveal your presence to the innocently grazing animal. Once you were within range, you strung the bow the way Jake Sully had taught you, elbow up, palm caressing your cheek, gazing straight at the target. After taking a deep breath to adjust your shot, slow your heart and stop your arms from shaking, the arrow shot out and into the neck of the animal, which let out a shrill cry of pain that broke your heart.
Killing living things was never fun for any Na'vi who respected the world around them, but you needed it to live and prosper. Leaping over your bush, you laid your bow on the still cool, wet grass, pulling your hunting knife from its sheath. The beast, which had fallen on its side, was flailing its legs as if trying to escape, shouting to anyone who would listen to come help it. Kneeling beside it, you placed your hand on its head while closing your eyes before thrusting your blade into its heart to put it out of its misery.
In the middle of the forest, you had cut out the skin, the flesh, the entrails to make it easily transportable. Everything usable was wrapped in the large skin that you had just removed and sealed with sinews from other animals, taken from a previous hunt. Although heavy, the hide found its place on your shoulder and, before returning to camp, you made a detour to what remained of the Voice Tree. There, laying the remains of the animal in front of the half-burned tree, you opened your arms, closing your eyes again to let yourself be overwhelmed by the energies that seemed to endure despite the wounds that the place had suffered.
"Great Eywa, mother of all living things, I come before you with gratitude and reverence. I thank you for the abundance of life that surrounds me and sustains me, and I offer my respect and devotion to your wisdom and power. Today, I have hunted and taken the life of one of your creatures, a powerful and noble beast. I ask for forgiveness and understanding, for I know that all life is precious and interconnected in your grand design. I honor this creature and offer its life back to you, to be returned to the cycle of life and death that you have created. I ask that you bless and guide me as I use this gift of life to nourish and sustain myself, and that I always remember the responsibility and respect that comes with taking a life. Great Eywa, may I always be in harmony with your creation and your will." To end your prayer, you placed the heart of the beast at the foot of the tree, in the image of a religious sacrifice before resuming your journey to the refuge of your clan.
Since the return of the skypeople and their new quest to destroy the forest, the Omaticaya had been forced to leave the tree house, falling prey to a threat they could not afford to face directly. So the Olo'eyktan led his people to a more secure and discreet base in the heart of the Hallelujah mountain range. Although this new camp was nothing like the comfort of the tree house, the clan had eventually acclimated to this refuge, making it a new home. Approaching the entrance to the cave, you clicked your tongue in a steady rhythm, announcing to the Na'vi in charge of camp security that you were not an enemy. Seeing you appear from behind the thicket, some of you nodded more respectfully than sincerely. As soon as the shadow of the stone enveloped your face, you found your way back to the hut you shared with your mother, passing the former hut of the Sully family, now occupied by Tarsem. This path had become almost unbearable to take, but it was the shortest way knowing that what you managed to extract from the animal was too heavy to make the journey longer.
You had the impression that the Sullys had left the clan the day before, you remembered the day you heard the news of their departure with great accuracy. The situation was the same, you were returning from hunting and had just dropped off the corpse of a beast in front of their hut when you came upon Tuk organizing her affairs, her eyes glistening with tears. You smiled, imagining that perhaps Neytiri had ended up asking him to sort her toys. Unwittingly, your foot hit a carved wooden figure of the great Leonopteryx, Jake's legendary ikran that looked so much like your own that sometimes when you roamed the skies, some people claimed the last shadow had returned. When she didn't seem to see you, you took the opportunity to surprise her, reaching under her arms to lift her over your head and make her look like she was flying. The little girl, surprised, started to laugh, making a sound more sad than happy.
"What's the matter with you, Tuk Tuk?" You asked, your arms around her waist and your head resting on her shoulder while your knees were on the ground. Tuk rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand before sniffling loudly. She pivoted so that she could easily wrap her arms around your neck and find comfort in the crook of your arms.
"We're going to leave," she said in a trembling voice. Not really understanding what she was getting at, or what she assumed, you looked around until you came upon Kiri carrying a woven basket, presumably to store provisions. You tried to question her silently, but the girl remained silent, almost ashamed to have to tell you the sad truth. The Sullys were preparing to leave the clan. The Sullys were about to leave you.
Sitting in the grass, the breeze caressed your face as you watched Kiri rest before the big departure. As always, her motionless body was surrounded by forest spirits floating around her. Her expression, peaceful, made her face almost childlike. She was so amazingly gentle that it made you want to protect her. And that was what you had always tried to do when other children had made her the focus of their teasing. You had always been close to the Sullys, but especially to her, acting as a big sister, standing in for Neteyam in terms of her protection. Even though you had already been settled for several hours, and the calmness surrounded you, you were already dreading the moment of farewell because, even if Kiri had asked you, it was impossible for you to leave the High Camp, to leave your mother. And, as you put down the carcass of the hunted beast in front of your hut, a simple glance towards the one of the Olo'eyktan made you feel a strange feeling of mourning.
Tears had rolled down your cheeks as you said your goodbyes, which you convinced yourself were just goodbyes.
"Don't cry, we'll see each other soon," Neteyam said as he hugged you, but the truth is that without them you were lost. Without them, your perfect world would fall apart. You missed Lo'ak's jokes, Neteyam's strange wisdom and Tuk's laughter. The Sullys were your family. Your mother was also deeply affected by their departure; Jake and Neytiri had always made it a point to care for her after your father's untimely death. That's why, while she was brooding in your hut, you put your own emotions aside, pretending to live in harmony with yourself to give her a new environment. Besides hunting and fishing, you spent your free time in the human laboratory observing Grace's avatar as you used to do with Kiri. Before she left, she had almost made you promise to take care of her mother, as if you had the right skills to do so. But you thanked her inwardly when, weeks later, as you found yourself straddling Grace's avatar incubator, you heard Norm start to panic. He had probably forgotten you were there because he didn't hide the reason for his behavior for a second.
Drops of sweat were still beading on his forehead as he hurried to gather medical supplies. As you approached the radar that he kept on day and night, the screen displayed a small mound of islands on one of which a small green dot was flashing with coordinates. You didn't know what it was all about, an earthquake, an important discovery, the imminent arrival of the skypeople in the camp. But your questions ended when Max entered the laboratory after having put several avatars to sleep.
"It's Kiri!" Norm threw to him without further context, drawing your attention further.
"What Kiri? Norm, what's going on with Kiri?" You questioned him, leaving the concern that had just arisen in you. The scientist then became aware of your presence and his mistake. Seeing that he didn't answer, you approached him, frowning and taking a threatening look that you would have preferred not to show. Turning back to Max, he told him they had to leave as soon as possible and, before you had a chance to respond, the two men began to gather equipment.
Your instinct controlled your emotions faster than your reason and, returning to your mother's hut, you suddenly began to cry. Your mind was racing with conjecture, imagining that the worst things in the world had happened to your best friend, one of the people who meant the most to you, and you weren't even there for her. Returning from the gathering with a small group of other women, your mother found you kneeling by the semblance of a fire that was still crackling, your eyes filled with tears, and your cheeks pink with the saltiness of the tear fluid. Without waiting, she dropped her basket to join you, taking you almost instantly in her arms and asking you what could be causing you so much grief.
"I failed, Mom," you blurted out, holding back another sob, letting her arms wrap around you and finding a protection that normally only you could provide. She stroked your hair, rocking you gently, waiting for you to tell her more.
"I failed," you repeated before you realized what you were doing. Of course your mother would never hold you responsible for the situation you found yourself in, it was natural to snap from time to time. Still, you broke free of her embrace, exhaling the air from your lungs several times to regain your composure before explaining the situation as clearly as possible.
"Imagine that the person you love most in the world is in danger, that you know where they are, but you can't get to them because you have obligations elsewhere. And then you feel guilty and helpless and..."
"Sweetheart, we can't help everyone," she took a deep breath at the unconvinced look you gave her. "You know, when the skypeople started this war years ago, when you weren't even an idea, your father saved me. By then he had already become the Olo'eyktan of our clan, and while I was walking in the forest collecting berries, some Men captured me. I was afraid, I was almost beginning to think that Eywa had abandoned me. That I was paying for all the bad things we had done, even without realizing it. And, just when I thought it was all over, he came and saved me." She rarely spoke of Tsu'tey, the man who had saved her and made her his Tsahik. Her eyes had become almost glassy and, she was no longer looking at you. "What I mean to say, my darling, is that I don't need to be saved anymore. I know you promised Eywa to protect me, to take care of me. But that is not your role, and it never was." She approached you again, this time placing her hand on your back. "So if your greatest desire today is to go to Kiri. Then go, I offer you my blessing. And I will pray to Eywa every day for you to find her.”
Although still full of guilt, but this time for a different reason, you packed a few things, including your bow and some arrows, before putting on your flight gear. The helicopter's propellers had just started turning when you mounted your ikran, ready for a journey of several hours.
As your ikran flew over the beach of the village of Awa'atlu, your determination to find Kiri overrode the fact that many of the native Na'vi on the islands seemed almost afraid of your mount's size. When Norm and Max's helicopter found a place to land on one of the stretches of beach, you jumped onto the warm sand, letting your ikran fly away until your next call. With your bow on your back, most of the Metkayina took you as a threat at first before you spoke the next words.
"I am looking for Kiri. Kiri te Suli Kirevsi'ite." Although they spoke the same language as you, everyone seemed to look at you as if you were from a completely different planet. You were about to get angry when the crowd split, creating a path for a small group of boys. At the head of it stood a proud boy who couldn't have been much older than you. He looked at you from head to toe with a look in which you detected a haughty side and another indecipherable expression. As no one seemed inclined to answer you, you let out a sharp cry in the air and, only a few moments later, your ikran came to rest on the sand, a few meters behind you. You didn't take your eyes off the boy, however, he had come to test you, and the mischievous smile he gave you when he saw your beast was enough to convince you that this game was won.
With a nod, he urged you to follow him, and so you did, still holding your bow firmly in your hand. After a few steps on the warm sand, you finally spotted Neteyam, leaning against a palm tree, sharpening the tip of a spear made of a lighter wood than you were used to using. Neteyam was like you, he always needed to keep himself busy so that his mind would not wander to and fro. The young man who escorted you walked with a pride that, beside you, seemed almost out of place. He sometimes glanced over his shoulder at you, as if he were trying to find a way to engage you in conversation but couldn't.
"Sully! Someone's here for you." The boy tossed to Neteyam who instantly raised his head before throwing his spear to approach you as if there was no way you were actually standing in front of him. Neteyam stopped a few inches away from you, as if to make sure it was really you before taking you in his arms. It was a strange sensation, you felt alive again, as if you had just found your home.
"I promised you we'd meet again," he whispered before your gaze caught the shadow of questioning that passed before his eyes. He was probably wondering how you had found them, or why you had decided, only now, to join them. To cut short all that, you spoke up, explaining the situation.
"Norm told Max that Kiri was in danger. You know how much your sister...you know how much you mean to me, I could stand there with my arms crossed...so I followed the helicopter and, here I am." His expression suddenly changed, showing the concern he was trying to curb by sharpening his spear. Without adding anything more, he moved slightly away, pointing with his chin to the hut where his family had been living for the past few months and where Norm and Max had just been unjustly thrown out by Neytiri, whose voice you recognized. Neteyam then glanced at the young man who had brought you to him, offering him a nod of thanks before putting his hand on your back to lead you forward.
As you walked toward the hut, your heart began to beat so fast that you thought it would burst out of your chest. The hand that held your bow began to get sticky because you were afraid of what you would find. Neteyam told you to wait for him a few meters away from the hut, so that he could tell his family about your arrival and make sure that everything was okay. So you observed the surroundings, the crystalline sea, the few Metkayina who were busy fishing for animals more elegant than those of your forest and, as your gaze had just landed on the strange aquatic mount of the members of this clan, a voice diverted your attention. Swinging back toward the hut, Tuk ran toward you, arms open and shouting your name. Laying your bow at your feet, you knelt down to welcome him into your arms.
"I see you missed me, Tuk Tuk. Guess what, I missed you too." You whispered before kissing her forehead. In the frame of the hut, Neytiri was helping Kiri stand and when your gaze met hers, you felt relieved to see that she was alive. Soon Kiri told you what had happened since her family had arrived at the Metkayina home, and why Jake had felt compelled to call in Norm and Max. Although she was almost angry at him for thinking of them, Kiri told you that she was glad he had done so, because you had been able to find her.
Awa'atlu was an amazing place, so different from what you had always known. You were not one of the few Metkayina who looked at you with a worried expression every time you passed by. Perhaps they thought that at any moment the beast you were riding would appear from behind the horizon to take them away from their beloved beach. You missed your mother, and High Camp, hunting had become different here as you turned to fishing under the wise advice of the boy who had led you to Neteyam, and whom you understood to be the son of the clan chief. Tonowari had not made your presence known because of your attachment to the Sully, and he probably just assumed that you were related. The boy in question, Aonung, always seemed to find a way to approach you, whether you were in the water or on the beach. Without really addressing you, he would sometimes tell you the extent of his exploits which, to be quite honest, sometimes seemed slightly ridiculous. Kiri had, of course, told you the story of her altercation with him, which had caused Lo'ak and Neteyam to be beaten up by Jake. So your regard for him was lower than he would have expected. Despite this, you were not unpleasant in his presence, keeping in mind that if he could afford to fight without consequences, he would probably be capable of many other things.
Within a few weeks, you had almost found a place with the Metkayina, learning to live like them and in harmony with the new marine ecosystem. However, the calm could only be short-lived, and before you even had time to make your first trip back to the mountains, the skypeople emerged as a threat on the horizon.
"I forbid you to fight, you are much too young." Being able to understand what was at stake with the skypeople's return, it took you only a few seconds to grab your bow and prepare to ride the heir of the last shadow towards the fight. But Jake didn't seem to think so, and as you were about to leave your hut to meet Kiri and Tuk in the water, he grabbed you by the arm.
Frowning, you broke away from his grip before proudly announcing, "Far be it from me to disrespect you, but it turns out that today you are no longer my Olo'eyktan, nor even my father." Taking on his grave air, he merely offered you a nod, aware that he could not retaliate without a valid argument. Not even your mother could have dissuaded you from going on a crusade, because she would have been one of the first arguments. By ridding Pandora of the enemy, everyone could live in harmony. So it is with determination that you joined the girls, ready to protect them from all possible dangers. But, while you hoped to find in Awa'atlu a strong position, Lo'ak came to divert your plans. Since Kiri had wanted to follow her brother, you followed him, discovering there the impressive Tulkun who answered to the name of Payakan. The boat then emerged from the horizon and, as everyone left the tulkun on the back of their ilu, Tsireya offered you to get on hers, or rather she pulled your hand to force you to leave.
The rest, you knew, was inevitable. Lo'ak, Tsireya and Tuk were captured. Having managed to escape thanks to the pockets of air provided by the immense underwater vegetation, you watched from afar the few attacks of Payakan, amazed by the beauty of a beast that you had surely involuntarily underestimated. You could not afford to remain helpless in the face of the situation and, calling your ikran, you rode it to the boat, your bow attached to its seal, you managed to hit a man while flying over the boat before your mount caught him to throw him into the ocean. As the ship slowly began to sink, you landed. Neteyam and Lo'ak were still on the ship, you had seen them go inside the iron giant, cursing them inwardly. The metal was cold, adding perfectly to the atmosphere of the place. Your bow still in hand, an arrow ready to be shot, you groped your way forward, using your keen hearing to find your prey.
Kneeling behind a thick metal plate, your gaze never left the imposing stature of the Na'vi soldier who held his weapon so firmly that it appeared to be an extension of his arm. From the small gap through which you had entered the ship, you had followed their tracks, inspecting the ground with great care for mud or any trace of passage. You sniffed the stuffy air for an unfamiliar smell. That's when the hunt really started. A chase that made you come alive, a chase that had once given you a daily dose of adrenaline during the search, and dopamine once the beast was in your sights. Gunshots rang out to your right, drawing not only your attention but also that of your prey, who rushed towards the origin of the noise. Following quietly, you saw Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Spider, safe from their enemies' fire, as a Na'vi lay dead on the ground. Other soldiers appeared next to the one you had initially tried to chase away, and while Lo'ak and Spider had just jumped into the water to escape, Neteyam would not have made it, and you were more than aware of that.
Without thinking, you shot your arrow, hitting your prey in the head, forcing him to the ground, diverting for a moment the attention of the soldiers who now had to fight on two fronts. You had just given Neteyam time to flee, and he had seized your opportunity. But now the soldiers knew where you were, and even if you tried to turn back, bullets were raining down on you.
When the air hit your face again, your first action was to call your ikran, which took only a few seconds to reach you and allow you to leave the ship. Aware of your flight, the soldiers regrouped on the deck to prevent you from flying further. Even though you were skilled, two bullets managed to find their way into the flesh of your arm and thigh, causing the pain you were unprepared for. Squeezing one of your wounds, you let your mount pull you back to solid ground as the world slowly began to spin around you. Setting foot on the sand, the pain in your leg was so sharp that you could only take two steps before you collapsed to the ground, letting the waves caress your feet and the sun warm your face.
You emerged into the Sully hut, Tuk's face close to yours.
"Hey, Tuk Tuk, did you miss me?" The little girl offered you a smile and, you winced as you tried to lift your arm to ruffle her hair. You then straightened up, admiring the bands that now adorned your arm and thigh. If Tuk and Neytiri were here, then the battle had to be over. "Did everyone make it?" You asked Neytiri then, suddenly overcome with a sense of apprehension that you had to keep quiet. The mother of the family offered you a smile similar to her youngest daughter's, nodding in response. Then you let out a sigh before lying back down, relieved to have helped bring peace to Pandora.
By the time you were well enough to leave the hut on your own, the Metkayina were already holding ceremonies to celebrate the return of a peace that would probably not last.
As the campfire crackled and popped, you sat silently, lost in thought. You gaze was fixed on the distant horizon, where the first rays of dawn were starting to break through the darkness. Despite this, you noticed Aonung while looking to the waves.
He leaned back against a nearby log, crossing his arms over his chest as he regarded you with a cocky expression.
"Nothing in particular," he replied. "Just thought I'd come and see how you were doing." You snorted, clearly not believing him.
"Right," you muttered sarcastically. "Because that's exactly what you're known for, isn't it? Your kindness and concern for others." Aonung's smirk deepened, enjoying the banter between you.
"Touché," he said, chuckling lightly. "But you have to admit, it's more fun when we're not at each other's throats." You rolled your eyes, but despite yourself, you couldn't help but feel a small smile tug at the corners of your mouth.
"I guess you have a point there," you conceded. Aonung pushed himself up from the log and walked over to you, his expression turning serious.
"But in all seriousness, how are you doing?" he asked, his voice softening. "Do you need any help with your wounds?"

Toruk Makto's son, Neteyam Sully, is your secret lover...!
Neteyam—your dear boyfriend, has been staring at you all night.
It's another nightly celebration amongst the Na'vi, and the clan is gathered around various fires lit as family and friends tell each other stories and tales.
Neteyam was your secret boyfriend.
As the son of your infamous clan leader, he was expected to be perfect. Stay absolutely in line and make no mistakes. He had no time for distractions.
But for you, he made an exception.
And he couldn't be happier. Yes, stealing glances at you and sneaking away with your smiling face is worth it all. The thrill and happiness he feels with you will forever remain unmatched. It was like his heart was finally living. The dull thump inside now a lively drum that beats to the sound of your soul.
"Neteyam."
He pulls away from the kiss breathless, his braids tossed over his shoulder and a smile in his eyes as he looked at you. He loved it when you said his name like that—
"Hmm?"
He doesn't give you a chance to even try and respond, because he's pressing his lips all over your mouth and face as you squirm and squeal under him
"Neteyam—!"
He laughs, gently tugging you onto the green ground beneath him as you huff. He kisses your pouting lips before positioning you on his legs so you're comfortable.
"Yes. What is wrong?"
He's smiling softly even as his finger taps mindlessly against your hip, and you let out a quiet sigh—not wanting to speak the words but knowing you had to.
"It's getting late. Your family will notice you're gone." You scold lightly, gently tracing the stripes on his chest idly as he shifts under you with a rare grin that stretched over the entirety of his face
"So? They're all fine, I am not needed right now. I will explain later—"
"What? That you were busy with me?" You say, pinching your brows with a sigh as he laughs. You didn't want Neteyam to get in trouble, but he could be so stubborn sometimes.
He's quiet after a bit, and you realize he's in deep thought when he stares off into the trees, tilting his head up towards the darkening sky before he turns to you
"I... I'd just like to stay here with you for a while longer. Is that okay?"
Your heart melts at the sight of his hopeful smile.
"And you think I want to leave you?" You murmur against his lips as he grins, cradling the back of your head in the palm of his hand as he presses a soft kiss onto your forehead
"No."
You're leaning back onto his chest after a while, watching the sun's rays twinkle out of sight as the stars rise—the night comes slowly but surely, and there isn't a single other soul in the world Neteyam would watch the moon with rather than you.

— NOISE COMPLAINT ; eijiro kirishima ; 切島
summary: red riot feels really bad about absolutely wrecking the shit out of your treasured plants, or eijiro kirishima falls in love at first sight. pairing: f!reader / pro hero!red riot word count: 3.7k tags: mutual pining, fluff/comfort, humor, very gentlemanly make-out, reader is a fan of red riot, mention of ingenium thirst (truth) a/n: kiri might be a twenty-seven year old pro hero in this fic but he is an absolute lovesick virgin who gets all his romantic cues from k-dramas. you cannot force me to think otherwise.
This is exactly the sort of night you needed.
The television, low and quiet, drones on as a deep-dive video on terrariums plays. Your apartment is clean — dishes done, laundry folded and trash taken out. There's a new candle burning on the coffee table, and a Dynamight-themed, cucumber-melon eye mask plastered to your delightedly thoughtless expression.
It's supposed to be good for dark circles. It kinda burns. You wonder if maybe that's, like, part of the gimmick. Y'know. Burns. Dynamight.
Whatever.
No thoughts. Only the pleasure of turning everything off — brain included — for a perfect Friday night, complete with a mediocre glass of wine and no pants.
The oversized Red Riot t-shirt clinging to your frame is your favorite. You've had it since college — it's a simple red tee with REAL MEN RIOT blazoned across the front, complete with your favorite hero popping a cheeky, shark-like grin and a double bicep. It's faded, stretched out, and broken in but it's also clean, and it smells like fabric softener and comfort.
This is the life.
Even Twitter is decidedly pretty calm tonight.
You're scrolling through your timeline, snickering at your friends' recent thirst tweets over Ingenium's recent GQ Japan shoot when it starts.
Apparently, your upstairs neighbors are home.
You thought those guys were out of town for the week.
You've had beautiful, silent bliss for too long. The buck stops tonight, you suppose.
There's a shout overhead, then a scramble. Another voice joins the fray, and you swear you hear someone call someone else an idiot. You frown deeply as your eyes trail upwards. You wait, expecting more noise, but unsettling silence follows.
Your eye twitches.
Annoyance tips into a simmering rage.
The apartment complex is old. It's in decent shape, and the rent isn't half bad, but the walls are thin. Your upstairs neighbors have been like this as long as you can remember: shouting, stomping, fighting... Some nights it's like being subjected to musical chairs, modern contemporary tap dance, and experimental sound drum solos all at once.
Your first week was the worst. You dragged yourself up the back to knock on their door and politely negotiate some silence — but the man who opened the door was less than pleased to have his little dude-bro circle-jerk interrupted. He told you to fuck off, get bent, and leave him the fuck alone.
Then, before he slammed the door in your face, he procured the sort of audacity only assholes possessed and laughed at your Red Riot shirt — which is just plain unforgivable, frankly.
"That guy's a fuckin' pussy."
Sure, sure, sure, right, right, right.
The interaction told you everything you needed to know about the two (or four?) men who lived upstairs. They were losers. And they were fuckin' annoying.
And, as it turns out, manufacturing bad batches of Trigger.
You don't know that yet, but truth be told it isn't exactly shocking.
Maybe it's your fault for picking an apartment complex in this part of Tokyo. This part of Arawaka Ward is rarely found on those top-ten-neighborhoods-for-young-professionals lists, but it's affordable! And for day laborers like you, it worked. And hey, in recent months, the crime rate has gone down at least 5% — which only quelled the anxieties of your mom and dad by about the same percentage.
The candle on the coffee table flickers, and you're about to turn back to your slow Twitter feed when there's another bang upstairs — this one admittedly loud enough to send a wave through your wine beside you. You slip your eyes slowly to the glass, perched on a coaster, as another bang rattles your apartment. You reach to still the vibrating glass on the side table.
That's when the shouting really starts.
And it's when you notice the growing brightness of red and blue lights outside the window.
The apartment complex is pretty big. There are about sixty residents and six floors. You lucked out and managed to snagone of the last available Western-facing studios with a balcony — which made for a perfect plant haven.
It was a recent hobby, but one that quickly became your calm after the chaos of the day-to-day. Working for the city's Heroics Response Department left you picking up the physical pieces (literally) of a lot of lives. Your quirk might be the usual, run-of-the-mill strength-based ability, but it comes in handy in the aftermath of property damage due to — what the Nation's Safety Commission has labeled — "villain-aggressed encounters".
All in all, it's a good gig. It's physically demanding but rewarding. The pay is good, you've got union benefits, and you even have a per-diem schedule. It keeps you busy, and though it's not your father's construction business, it's a career path your parents are proud of.
The slice-of-heaven balcony is bustling with plants. Some are happier than others, sure, but it's pretty. You've admittedlyformed an emotional bond with those vines, leaves, and flowers.
It's perfect.
It's also perfect for snooping whenever things like this go down in your complex, or the sister complex across the parking lot.
The shouting match upstairs is escalating, and you take the moment to tip-toe towards your balcony door to peek outside. It looks like two or three police cruisers have pulled up outside. Maybe someone called for a noise complaint? Maybe the property manager was tired of dealing with those losers?
Cackling to yourself, and hoping for a vindicating show of revenge (NO ONE CALLS RED RIOT A PUSSY), you yank open your balcony door and slip outside just as the sound of a pot crashing meets your ears.
Then:
"Shit, shit, shit—"
There's someone on the balcony. That someone's boot is currently stuck in an empty terracotta pot you were saving for spring. Your eyes are wide as you watch the shadow leap to his other foot, lose his balance, and unceremoniously knock over your entire, six-foot-tall, and well-treasured plant stand. You slap a hand over your mouth mid-shriek, hands flying to try and save whatever you can.
You fail.
Eijiro Kirishima freezes.
What the fu—
It takes a second.
Like, a full second. Maybe even two. Your brain can't make sense of the sight before you. Neither can his, really.
There's a girl on this balcony. A pretty girl. Like, mega pretty. Like soft and warm and cute and you smell kinda like vanilla — and there's... You're wearing his merch. His merch and... nothing else. Nothing else but a Dynamight eye mask and a pair of fluffy socks.
...Is this what it's like to fall in love at first sight?
Shit.
Red Riot is on your balcony.
The Red Riot.
Red Riot, the hero in question, catches himself staring. His wide eyes openly wander over your figure (woah, okay, hello thighs), and the second he realizes it, he quickly snaps his eyes up to your face with a mortified expression. "Uh... hi!"
"...Hi...?"
Your expression is tied between shame, fear, and sheepishness as you blink once at him, then twice at the mess of your hobby's destruction. There's dirt everywhere, a plant stand blocking the doorway, and carnage. Your precious babies have been murdered.
By Red Riot.
And... Red Riot is on your balcony.
You repeat: Red Riot is on your balcony.
Abort mission, abort mission.
Your lips part, your mouth hangs open, and every single thought in your head seems to stutter. Kirishima winces as you look down dejectedly at your plants (or, what remains) before he speaks.
"I, uh— is it cool if I..." he points upwards, "Use your balcony?"
You're speechless.
You draw your mouth shut and nod hurriedly.
"Thanks," he grins, giving you a thumbs up — and a smile. A toothy, cute, nervous smile, "Lemme just... I gotta handle something. B-But, I'll be back. I'll help fix this mess — just... five minutes, okay?"
It hits you suddenly that his voice sounds different from all those interviews you've watched. It's a little warmer, a little raspier, a little less heroic. It's cute.
Your brain is still having a hard time connecting the words coming out of his mouth to the scene before you — like, yes frontal lobe, this is real. This is happening.
Red Riot is real and Red Riot is on your balcony.
He's shockingly gentle when he finally frees his boot from your terracotta pot, setting it down with purposeful delicacy — he even whispers 'please stay' as he props it upright — and then steps back to eye the balcony above yours like an athlete remembering a gameplan.
He's trying to figure out the best way up.
How he even got up here is news to you.
(It was Uravity, as it turns out. They've been patrolling together more in this Ward.)
Red Riot is huge. Like, huge.
Broad shoulders, rippling biceps, and long, fluffy crimson hair. It's daunting to realize how tall he is in person. The guy is a beast — everyone knows it — but his chivalrous nature is that thing that usually draws in his fans. It's no secret that Red Riot is sweet. He openly champions the need to be a good role model for men everywhere. Y'know, you can be strong and nice!
A sharp canine glints in your apartment's light as he pokes his tongue out and thinks for a second.
Then, he settles on his plan.
"You might wanna head inside," Red Riot says as he rolls his shoulders and bounces on the balls of his feet; he's readying up for a fight — and you blink as the beautiful realization dawns on you, "This could get kinda loud."
Loud?
Oh my god.
Is he here for your upstairs neighbors?
Oh my god, he is.
Your jaw falls open as you bark out a laugh — it's an incredulous rasp that sends you into a spiral of joy; you're not a vengeful person by any means but...
"They're gonna shit themselves," you grin, your eyes alight with pure delight and a spark of something that reminds Kirishima a lot little bit of Bakugo, "They called you a pussy—"
Kirishima's brows shoot upwards as he pauses. He was about to jump and dig his hands into the underside of the balcony, but his quirk is stalling at your words. There's a roaring fire blazing in your eyes, one that screams retribution.
It's... comical.
You cackle again at him with a wide grin, hissing conspiratorily. "They made fun of my shirt!"
You point down at the REAL MEN RIOT tee with both hands, your face set in a look of vindicated glee. Then, the second realization of the night hits — that you've got no pants on, and that stupid, goofy Dynamight eye mask is still on your face. You make a soft sound of embarrassment and tug your shirt down lower, trying to cover up. He cannot see your underwear. No. No way, no fucking way. Without a single word, you reach up, snatch the Dynamight eye mask off your face, and whip it off the balcony without a second thought.
Slowly, Kirishima's face splits into a pointy grin.
Holy shit, he's so fucking hot.
"Oh, man," Red Riot rumbles, his face cracking into a sharp, playful smirk, "That's real rude. I might have t' teach these guys some manners."
Your smile returns, washing away the wobbly look of embarrassment sticking to your cheeks.
Man, it sure is cute.
You are really cute, Kirishima realizes.
"Right! And who calls Red Riot a pussy?" you counter excitedly, before reigning it in and awkwardly lowering your arms as you try to tug your shirt down to hide the tops of your thighs again. Your glee has stifled a little bit, but it only reaffirms Kirishima's duty to wrap this all up.
"Yea, that's, like, super misogynistic," he muses as his quirk kicks in and his hands flick into a hardened state. It's insaneto witness the way his large hands transform into weapons with a single breath. You can see the jagged extension of his quirk working up his large arms, too, "Lemme just have a lil' word with these boys, alright? Head on inside, I'll be back in a sec'."
Then, with graceful ease, he hops upwards with a little hup before latching to the base of the upstairs neighbor's balcony.
It's insane how effortless it is for him to haul himself up the balcony, his hands dug into the cement. His upper body strength is insane. He's scaling the terrace, alternating his grip. He disappears into the dark, swinging his body upwards and reaching his destination.
You tamp down your awe in favor of heeding his directions: head inside.
You're closing the balcony door when you hear Red Riot's voice greet the unexpecting gaggle.
"Hey, fellas! I heard you guys are some super fans. Got anything you want me to sign?"
You snicker to yourself as you hear the beginning of a fight.
Again, as it turns out, the guys upstairs sucked. Like, mega sucked. They'd been responsible for several recent Trigger overdoses; Uravity and Red Riot were working with law enforcement to track the small-time manufacturers — which explains why they'd been so quiet lately. They suspected someone was on their tail.
As Red Riot scaled their balcony, law enforcement waited to break down their door. They arrested the four men (Seriously? Four? In that studio?) without much incident — however, you did spy a broken nose on one of them as they were hauled into the back of the awaiting cruisers.
Sweet, sweet revenge.
By the time your neighbors are carted off, you've shimmed into some sweats and made a half-assed attempt to look sort ofpresentable, all while firing off a few contextually incomprehensible texts into your group chat.
red riot has seen me in my underwear wtf do i do know kiss him?
You're really weighing your options when there's a knock on your balcony entry. It's gentle and cordial. You turn, head snapping, and spy that trademarked (and a dozen times retweeted) smile through the glass. He waves.
Your heart leaps into your throat. You try to remember to breathe as you shuffle over and tug the balcony door open. The night air is cool.
Be like the night air.
Stay cool.
Eijiro feels so silly. And guilty. And honestly? Really into you.
You're still wearing that shirt — the one with his face on it. You have opted to put on pants, but Kirishima still reminds himself to keep his eyes on your face. No ogling. That's not very gentlemanly.
There's a beat of awkward silence as the two of you wait for the other to speak, and Kirishima is the one to break it with a raspy laugh.
"I wanted to apologize about your plants," a large hand moves to rub the back of his neck, "I cleaned up as best I could. I'm really, really sorry."
You wave him off, leaning into the doorframe. "No, it's okay! It's nothing I can't... fix. I think?"
You look beyond him to the catastrophic mess of plant matter. He must have tried tidying up while you rattled off the rapid-fire texts in the group chat.
Red Riot's face warbles into something tied between mortification and guilt. "Please forgive me."
"Seriously!" you cry, waving your hands as you try to placate his dejected expression, "Please don't feel bad. It's a fair trade, y'know. Those guys upstairs were, like, the worst."
"I can only imagine," Eijiro concedes, frowning a little, "They didn't give you too much trouble, did they?"
You shake your head and laugh a little, "Aside from insulting my favorite hero to my face? Not really."
Kirishima can feel his face get a little hot. He shifts from boot to boot. His smile is a little woozy. "So... you're a fan?"
You don't need to tell him the underwear you have on matches the shirt — red, with an embroidered RR on the front. You keep that to yourself. You just nod happily.
"Really?" his grin cracks into something so excitable it makes your entire stomach flip, "I don't meet a lotta fans who are..."
His words drift off.
He's staring at your eyes. You're so... soft. Warm. Your eyes are swirling with quiet, astonished adoration and it's making Kirishima feel like he's floating.
"Who are...?" your brow quirks as you lean deeper into the doorframe, trying to coax out the rest of the sentence.
"Gorgeous," he breathes, his posture relaxing a little as he soaks in your expression.
It's like getting sucker punched to the sternum.
All the wind rushed out of your lungs.
The soft moment only lasts a beat, because suddenly Red Riot's face screws up and he waves his hands hurriedly. "Wait, no. Hold on, I mean — all of my fans are gorgeous, because, uh, they're my fans and I love them, right? It's not like they're not gorgeous, I just — I'm... I... My fans are, like, usually dudes? A-And that's totally cool because dudes can be gorgeous, too, y'know? But—"
You're laughing.
Kirishima is realizing he was not paying enough attention in his agency's PR training last month and you're laughing.
"I get it," you giggle, crossing your arms and grinning up at him, "I mean, I definitely don't think I'm gorgeous but—"
"You are," he assures firmly, his expression serious.
Are you dead?
Are you, like, literally ascending to a higher plane right now?
There's no fucking way this is happening.
Your lips part in quiet shock as you bite back a smile that threatens to cramp up your cheeks. Kirishima eats it up, his posture perking up at the way you seem to melt at his compliment. His smile is boyish — almost dizzy.
You duck a bashful look towards the tiled floor of the balcony, not really giving a singular shit that your beloved monstera has been stomped on.
Kirishima clears his throat, then — in a move he totally hasn't swooned over in those K-dramas he's secretly obsessed with, that'd be ridiculous — he props his arm up against your door and leans over you. Your faces are close in the warm light of the balcony.
Your eyes stutter up his abdomen, chest, jaw, lips, and eyes. Kirishima notices. It's really, really cute.
"Are you, uh... Are you seeing anyone?"
Of course, Red Riot would ask that. Red Riot, the king of chivalry. How is something like that so endearing? For the tenth time tonight, he makes your stomach flip.
You shake your head no, a little too stunned to speak.
"Cool," Eijiro musters over a shake of nerves, "Cool. Okay. Uh, then would it... would it be okay if I bought you some new plants?"
You nod, swallowed entirely by his shadow. He's so fucking huge.
"And if I took you to dinner?"
Another nod.
"...And — shit. You're, like, so cute," the smooth persona he's put on melts a little as his eyes roam your face; you feel so... shy, "I was gonna ask you something else but..."
"My number?" you offer, fiddling with the hem of your shirt as you maintain eye contact.
Is it hot? You're sweating. Is he sweating? He's hot.
Eijiro nods, absolutely mesmerized by the way you tug your lip between your teeth. "That. Yea."
He has to fight back the urge to bite his knuckle when you turn away and move towards your kitchen to snag your phone. Kirishima stays put, allowing himself one moment of ogling. When you turn around, he's clearing his throat and crossing a boot over his ankle.
He's still leaning up against the doorway.
"Here," you slip him the phone.
Eiijiro takes it — then hesitates for a second.
"...You're not gonna leak my number, are you?"
You have to laugh. You rub your cheek and shake your head before crossing your arms and looking up at him. "If you think I'm going to do anything to fumble this, you're wrong."
Fumble this? Fumble him? He's the one that is at risk of fumbling, are you serious?
Eijiro barks out a surprised laugh as he enters his number, shoots a quick text his way then ignores the buzz in his back pocket. He hands your phone back and tries so fucking hard to ignore the way your fingers brush his.
He got your number.
Holy shit, he got your number.
"Hey, Red Riot?"
He blinks down at you. "Y-Yea?"
You gesture for him to come closer, and he obeys easily — he bends a bit at the waist, his hair falling along his shoulders as he smiles down at you in the threshold of your apartment.
"Is everything alri—?"
You pop a chaste kiss against his cheek.
Or, try.
As you hop up onto your tippy toes to kiss his cheek, Eijiro is turning his head at the sound of Urvaity calling his name simultaneously. Trajectory failed, and now it's lips and lips instead of lips on cheek — and honestly? He owes Ochaco one for this.
Red Riot melts — actually, truly, genuinely melts. His posture slumps down as you let out a shocked little sound of apology. But, Eijiro doesn't mind, and fuck, neither do you — because one hand braces against the doorframe above your head while his other hand is suddenly on your waist. He steadies himself, and damn. Damn.
He breaks away when Uravity calls his name again. Kirishima is breathless and blushing, and your knees feel like jello.
"I... Uh, I gotta go—"
"Yea, totally," you breathe, swallowing down the burn of unfiltered attraction, "Sorry, I was trying to kiss your cheek—"
Another call of his name. Red Riot curses softly before hollering a 'COMING!' over his shoulder, out past the edge of the balcony.
When he turns back, he's fast to sweep you into another kiss — this one hotter than before. This one draws you into his chest, sending your hands colliding with the hot skin of his chest. There's muscle and scars and heat beneath your fingertips. His hand curls around your lower back, and you nearly moan.
He peels himself away with an apologetic look as he backs towards the edge of the balcony. "I gotta go — I'll text you once patrol is over. Is that okay? I'm serious about the plants. And dinner."
All you can do is nod.
Eijiro is kinda proud of himself for stunning you stupid with that kiss.
This is exactly the sort of night you needed.

when they arrived, y/n was suspicious of the new family.
that girl.. she has an extra finger.
why are they so skinny?
how can they swim with such thin tails?
she thought they were so weird until she started talking to their daughter more. then she realized they weren’t so bad.
kiri and y/n had grown closer since they arrived. like, really close.
like so close, they’ve almost been caught making out well more than once.
they’ve been dating in secret for months now. kiri’s family had decided to stay after the war against the sky people and kiri and y/n are now secret girlfriends.
secret girlfriends who can’t seem to find a place discrete enough for them be alone.
right now, they were lounging on one of the many chain islands surrounding the main island of awa’atlu.
kiri had found a shell of a crab in the reef and wanted to show y/n her new discovery.
“look at these spikes. i bet it’s to fend off predators, what do you think?” she asked the girl while tracing the patterns.
kiri was so excited to show y/n, she forgot that y/n’s lived in the reef her whole life and she knows all about crab shells.
of course they’re to fend off predators, what else could they be for?
“i think you’re right. it’s really cool, kiri.” y/n chuckled.
“thank you.”
“oh, look over here.” y/n pointed to the tiny rocks and shells on the shore of the beach.
she picked up a shell, similar to puka shells from earth, and brought it back to kiri.
“we can make bracelets with these. i have string at home.” y/n told her.
“oh cool! yeah, let’s do it.” kiri took y/n’s hands and picked her up off the sand.
“wait, we can’t. my parents are at home. tomorrow, they will be busy. we can come back here tomorrow, okay?” y/n said.
“ugh, why can’t they just know..” kiri whined, holding onto y/n’s hands.
she chuckled softly and they spun around slowly.
“it’s so exhausting sneaking around.” kiri complained.
“i know.” y/n pulls her hands and gets kiri to stand up straight.
“and you know why we can’t say anything.” y/n said.
kiri rolls her eyes and sighs.
“i just need to talk to my mother first. when she sees that i’m in love with you and not with guy they want me to be with, i’m sure she’ll understand.” she explained.
y/n is next in line to be olo’eykte. and because her parents are very strict about tradition, they’ve promised her to a boy who will serve as tsahìk.
a loyal and wise leader, who has a strong connection to eywa and the world around them. for whenever the worst should happen to y/n’s parents.
he was nice to y/n, and she was to him. they were friends but nothing more.
neither of them wanted to be together but with their parents being the way they are, there wasn’t anything they could do.
“yeah, i get it.” kiri nodded. she looked down at the sand and took her hands away from y/n.
“let’s just go home then.” she muttered.
“hey.” y/n took her hand and got her to look up.
“you know i want to be with you and no one else.” she said.
“you keep saying that but-“
“you don’t believe me? okay, what if i… hm, what if i sing it to you?”
kiri looked at her weird. “what?”
y/n loves being obnoxious around kiri, and kiri only.
y/n starts to sing in an annoying tone of voice support loudly while flailing her arms around and calling it dancing.
“kiri, i love you!!-“
“stop, stop! okay, i get it!” she grabs her arms and puts them down before y/n slaps one of them.
“what? is my dancing no good?”
“it’s terrible!” kiri laughed.
y/n smiled at the sound of it. “please never dance like that again.” kiri sighs.
“hm.. okay. as long as you never doubt yourself again.”
kiri sighs. “fine. okay.”
y/n smiled and her hands go to cup kiri’s face. she kissed her lips softly before pulling away to look at her.
“come on, let’s go home.”
after arriving back home, y/n and kiri separated to go home to their own families for lunch.
y/n sat next to her sister eating her food while the rest of the family were discussing the guy she had to end up with.
tonowari looks at his wife. “do you need help with the food for the feast tonight, my love?”
y/n cringed at the nickname her father had for her mother. she rolled her eyes while still looking down at her food.
“i could use some help, thank you. i need everything to be perfect for tonight.” ronal sighs.
“why? it’s just a feast?” ao’nung asks.
“it’s not just a feast, it’s a celebration for your sister.” tonowari told him.
ao’nung didn’t really seem to care, so he shrugged and continued to eat.
ronal looks up at her daughter. “y/n.”
she doesn’t respond.
“y/n!”
she looks up. “huh. what?”
“you have your outfit picked out, correct?” she asked.
“can’t i just wear this?” she motions to her casual outfit, a green top and beige colored skirt.
ronal looks at tsireya. “please help your sister dress when it’s time.”
tsireya giggled at the insult while y/n didn’t find it funny in the slightest.
“what’s wrong with this? i think it’s pretty.” she complained.
“no one’s saying it’s ugly.” tsireya laughed.
“you’re beautiful as always, daughter, but tonight is a special occasion. that is what aekayo sees everyday, you want him to see you as a princess.” she tells her.
“princess? ugh.” y/n groaned.
“you will change into something formal. no more complaints.” she sighed.
y/n rolls her eyes discreetly and looks back down at her food.
when they finish, y/n goes to kiri’s marui to tell her about the feast.
her parents were discussing something in the corner when she walked in.
she greeted them while muttering “i see you.” they greeted her back and she walked in.
tuk was the first of the children to notice her.
“hi, y/n!” she smiled.
the older ones look over and watch as she goes to sit beside kiri.
“hi, guys. hi, spider.” she looks to the human boy and waved.
spider doesn’t like y/n one bit. he knows something is up between her and kiri but won’t say anything.
he gives a small wave and continued to work on his craft, which was just weaving a bunch of leaves together out of boredom.
“so, i came to tell you about a feast happening tonight.” y/n sighed.
she turns to kiri. “which i also need to talk to you about.” she whispered.
kiri nods.
“nice, what’s it for?” neteyam asked her.
“it’s uh.. for an engagement.” she said.
“what?” kiri adds.
“cool, for who?” lo’ak asked her,
“yeah, who’s getting married?” tuk questioned excitedly.
“for uhm.. it’s uh a girl. you don’t know her. her and her boyfriend.” she lied.
“oh nice.” neteyam nods.
“yeah. so, that’s all. uh, kiri?” she looks at the girl and they leave the marui while the others stay talking.
spider watched them leave and nice they were out of view, he followed them.
“where you goin’, spider?” jake asked as he helped neytiri cut up fruits for their kids.
spider shrugs. “just going for a swim.”
“stay close. don’t go too far” jake told him.
spider is just as new to the metkayina as the rest of the family and isn’t exactly used to the new environment.
jake didn’t feel safe with him wandering all alone. but he is the same age as lo’ak and neteyam, so he’s trying to be more trusting.
spider nods and leaves the hut to see where kiri went.
y/n and kiri ended up taking a walk down the beach on the far side of the island where no one really went to.
“what’s up?” kiri asks.
“uh, i wanted to talk about the engagement thing.” y/n winced.
“what? but you said it’s for a girl we don’t know.” kiri laughed.
“i lied. i wanted to tell you first before telling the others.” y/n sighed.
kiri’s face scrunched up slightly. “okay..”
“the engagement feast is for me. and the guy i’m promised to.” y/n sighed out.
kiri’s eyes widen and she takes a half step back. she couldn’t say anything to that. all she could do was stare.
what else could you say to something like that?
the girl you love is promised to someone and now you have to go to a party to celebrate them being together.
“okay.. well, who’s the guy?”
“oh, aekayo. my friend, i’ve known him for a while.” y/n replied.
kiri didn’t want to hear anymore of this. an engagement party? so soon?
and who the hell is aekayo? was he cuter than kiri? did y/n like him more than she liked her?
“so, what does this mean? are we not going to be able to be together anymore?”
“no. no, i don’t want to leave you. i barely even like aekayo, let alone want to marry him.” y/n said.
she had to be very careful how she chose her words. anything taken the wrong way can cause her to lose kiri forever.
“look, i didn’t even know about this until before i went to your house. it’s just for my parents. if i could talk them out of it, i would, but my mother is very hard to convince.” y/n said.
kiri looks at her for a moment before down at the sand.
she sighed heavily. “so what am i supposed to do? just watch you and that guy all night?”
“i know what it sounds like. but i could really use you there for support. i don’t wanna sit with that guy all night either.”
kiri groans. “ugh, i really don’t want to. i’d rather just stay home.
“please? i promise after the feast, we can sneak off and do whatever you want. go swimming, go be alone, whatever you want.” y/n said, grabbing both of kiri’s hands in hers.
kiri rolls her eyes. “y/n-“
“kiri, pleasee..”
“fine! i’ll go but i won’t enjoy myself.”
y/n sighs in relief. “thank you, thank you!” she wraps her arms around the girl and hugs her so tight, kiri struggles to breathe.
“i love you so much, you’re the sweetest girl i’ve ever met!”
“yeah, love you too, please let go!- y/n!” she coughed.
y/n pulls away and goes to cup her face.
“i’m serious, kiri. i mean what i say.” she said.
kiri nods gently. it honestly felt like those words meant less and less the more y/n said them.
but what she was telling her couldn’t be farther from the truth.
“i know.” kiri sighed.
y/n smiled softly before kissing her face and cheeks and forehead and then finally leaving a peck on her lips.
kiri laughed trying to push her away.
“no!-“
“one more!”
“y/n-“
“one more, i promise.”
they look at each other before lazily hugging each other. y/n out all her weight on kiri, making her stumble back while trying to hold her up.
it made her laugh out while y/n was pretending to struggle.
“get up!” kiri laughed.
“my legsss, they’ve stopped working, kiriiii..” she groaned dramatically.
“no, they have not.”
“yes, they have. you have to help meee..”
“or i could drop you.” kiri loosened her grip on y/n and she yelped as thought she was going to fall. y/n’s hands flew around kiri’s neck to stop herself from falling.
“kiri!”
she chuckled softly and picked her up.
while they laughed and played around on the beach, spider watched with sadness from behind a boulder.
kiri never laughed that much, even around him.
it’s possible that she loves y/n more than she could have ever loved him.
spider sighs looking at them once more and makes his way back to the marui.
hours pass and it’s time for the feast. tsireya helped y/n pick out shiny gold accessories and seashell decorated clothing.
as they sat facing each other, y/n had her mind on kiri and how she must be feeling right now.
maybe i should just ditch the whole thing just to be with her.
“hey. y/n.” tsireya snapped her fingers in front of her sister’s face. y/n looked up at her.
“you’ve been zoning out all day. are you worried about something?” she asked.
“what? no, i’m okay. i’m just tired.” y/n shrugged.
“hm.” tsireya hummed. she looks up at her older sister with a smug face. “you know how i know when you’re lying?”
“how?” y/n chuckled.
“your ears go down.”
y/n rolled her eyes. “they do not.”
tsireya’s hand raises up and she moves y/n’s head to the side. she was right, y/n’s pointy ears were pointing downward.
y/n clapped her hand away while tsireya laughed. “okay, whatever.”
“so what’s up? tell me.” she says softy.
y/n can’t tell her sister anything, she’s a terrible secret keeper. not because she likes the drama.
tsireya’s very kind and loyal, but when she’s given a big piece of information and has to keep herself from telling anyone, her nerves will eventually get the best of her.
“i’m just nervous. aekayo is.. weird.” y/n shrugged.
“he’s cute! and nice.” tsireya said in an encouraging.
“yeah but.. he never smiles. he’s so serious all the time. that doesn’t fit me at all.” y/n shrugged.
“but he’s loyal. and who knows, within time, your shiny personality will affect him.” tsireya laughed.
y/n smiled. “yeah, sure.”
tsireya then places the final gold headpiece on top of y/n’s braided hair and adjusts it. she takes her mirror and holds it up to y/n’s face so she can see.
“i’m very lucky to have a beautiful older sister.” tsireya muttered.
“aw, tsireya.” y/n chuckled.
she gives her little sister a hug before their brother comes in to let them know that the party is ready for them.
the night begins with the village recognizing the young couple before starting the feast, with music and dancing.
everyone was having fun watching the dancers and joining in.
while some of the metkayina children were singing and dancing around with the adults clapping along with the rhythm, y/n sat awkwardly next to aekayo.
“you look pretty by the way.” he muttered.
y/n looks up at him. “thank you. uh- you look nice too.” she nodded.
“thank you.” he nodded back.
they look back at the scene in front of them.
neither of them wanted to do this.
“hey, can i ask you something?” he muttered.
y/n looks up at him again. “sure.”
“you’re just as bored with all this as i am, right?”
y/n felt relieved to hear him admit that. “yeah, a little.”
he chuckled. “good. i’m not the only one.”
y/n sighs. “you mean the engagement right?”
“both. i’m not really interested in getting married and i don’t like parties.” he admitted.
“you have no idea how glad i am to hear that.” y/n breathed out.
they chuckle and look back at the scene.
“so, you’re doing this to be tsahìk, right?” y/n asked him.
“yeah. and you’re doing this to be olo’eykte?”
“yeah. i love my people. i can’t wait to help them one day.” she replied.
aekayo looks at her. “really?”
“yeah.” she looks up at him. “what about you? you really want to be tsahìk?
“i guess i do. i love my people too. but being tsahìk is my parents dream for me..” he shrugged.
“hm.” y/n nods.
“yeah, but… honestly, i think you could do it on your own.” aekayo says as he looks down at y/n.
she looks up at her. “lead the clan? no, i couldn’t.” she laughed.
“yeah, i’m sure you could.” he shrugged.
she smiled. “really?”
“of course. i think you’re very brave and compassionate. those are very important traits.” he says.
y/n smiled and looked at the children dancing.
“that’s very kind of you.” she said.
he hums in response and the two continue to, or at least pretend, to enjoy the festivities.
“uh, y/n?”
“yeah?”
“who’s that girl that’s staring at us?” he asks.
y/n looks away from the dancing and scans the crowd.
“where?” she asks as she looks up at him.
“there.” he nods his head instead of pointing as to not make it obvious.
y/n looks in the direction he’s gesturing and spots the sully family.
they were sitting in the front row. jake and neytiri were smiling while sitting next to each other, watching the people have fun.
tuk was one of the many kids dancing around and lo’ak, neteyam, and spider were sitting together while clapping along, smiled on their faces.
kiri was next to them and she was glaring daggers into aekayo’s head.
“oh, that’s.. my friend.” y/n almost said girlfriend before she caught herself.
“is she okay?” he asked y/n.
y/n looks at kiri and she makes a discreet face, almost like she was pleading.
kiri could read her expressions better than anyone. the girl rolls her eyes and looks away from the two.
“yeah. she’s fine.” y/n nods.
she looks up at aekayo. “she’s not your friend, is she?” he asked.
her heart drops. “of course she is. why do you ask?”
“that was a look of jealousy. and i don’t think i’ve ever talked to that girl in my life. so, she must be jealous of me.”
y/n was shocked at how quickly she was picking up.
when you’re quiet, you pay attention to the little things. and y/n is not quiet.
“uh-“
“but i’ve seen her around you multiple times.” he says. he looks down at y/n.
she sighed and looks back and forth from kiri to him.
“can you keep a secret?” she sighs out.
“of course.” he shrugs.
“she’s not actually my friend. she’s my girlfriend.”
his eyes widen. “hm. nice. so, does she always look like she hates you?”
y/n laughs. “she hated me when we first met.”
he laughs quietly with her.
“girlfriend. so, how is that going for you two?” he asks.
“it’s complicated. we’re both upset that i’m engaged but not to the one i want.” she sighed.
she then realized what exactly she just said and looked up at aekayo.
“sorry, i didn’t mean for it to sound that way.” she winced.
“no, it’s okay. i feel the same.” he chuckled.
she sighed. “i’m not engaged to the one i want either.” he looks off into the crowd and y/n followed his gaze.
it landed on a boy whose dark locs were decorated with gold charms, and had bright aqua green eyes. he looks up at the “couple” and smiled softly. aekayo smiled back.
“aw...” y/n mumbled.
aekayo looks down at her. “you won’t say anything, right?”
“i won’t if you won’t.” she shrugged.
he smiled and nodded gently.
the two continue to thank people for their congratulations, pretend to have fun, receive gifts from the village, and count down the minutes until they get to go home.
when the festivities finally do end, y/n doesn’t waste any time to find kiri at their spot.
she swam to the island on her ilu and found kiri waiting for her.
“hi!” y/n exclaimed.
“hi. you look really beautiful.” kiri smiled.
y/n feels heat rise to her face as she goes to hug kiri.
“thank you. that means a lot coming from you.” she sighs.
she pulls away and holds kiri’s hands.
“so, what do you want to do?” she asked her.
“you were serious?”
“of course, i- why would i lie to you? i promised, whatever you want to do.” y/n said
kiri thinks and thinks and she finally decided.
the two went back to the main island to a spot in the water filled with bioluminescent creatures and plants floating around.
a tide pool surrounded by rocks but there was a little area of sand where the girls could sit.
they sat close enough to touch some of the plants.
kiri was mesmerized by the colors and she pointed out every single one of them to y/n.
“i think this one’s my favorite.”
“that’s great.”
“and that one. the green anemone.”
“also great.”
kiri looks up and smiled at y/n. she loves that girl so much.
as kiri pointed at a tiny and funny looking fish, y/n laughed before looking over when she noticed something move in the corner of her eye.
she looks down the beach and sees her siblings walking together.
y/n’s heart drops but she doesn’t let it show.
“hi, you two. everything okay?” she asks once they’re close enough.
kiri looks up at her and then turns to look at the siblings. “uh. hi.”
“hi.” tsireya smiled. ao’nung looks up at his sister.
“our parents want to talk to you.” ao’nung said.
y/n and kiri look at eachother with weary faces before standing and following the siblings home.
when they arrived to y/n’s marui, her parents were sitting next to each other and quietly talking.
and kiri’s parents were standing against the wall of the marui taking to each other too.
all four of them watched the kids walk in.
“ao’nung, take tsireya elsewhere. we need to speak to your sister.” tonowari instructed.
they look at each other and then at kiri and y/n and leave the marui a second later.
kiri and y/n sat across from y/n’s parents, their nerves shooting through the roof.
“we know about you.” ronal started quietly.
y/n felt herself shrink when she heard her mom say that.
“be calm. you’re not in trouble.” tonowari says.
they look at him with confusion.
“while it would be better for you and for the village, you don’t.. have to be married to that boy.” ronal states.
y/n looks at her suspiciously. “really?”
“really.” ronal nodded.
y/n looks at kiri and kiri couldn’t help but smile softly.
“so.. we can be together?” y/n asks.
“of course. we want you to be happy. if you are happy with kiri, and she is with you, then yes, you can be together.” tonowari smiled.
y/n couldn’t believe it. she had a smile on her face but her parents couldn’t tell if she was surprised or happy.
she was both.
“so, we’re not in trouble?” kiri asks while looking up at her parents.
they shake their heads. neytiri smiled brightly seeing her daughter so happy and in love.
after a few more words, the girls left the marui hand in hand and smiling brighter than the stars.
they chased each other down the beach, cheering and at the top of their lungs, jumping around like little kids.
they ended up going I go the ocean, not far away from the shore.
they just had fun with each other, splashing water around and diving to see the life underwater.
they were ecstatic to be together freely. they didn’t have to hide anymore, they were free to be together and spend time together in the light of day.
“i can’t believe they found out.” kiri laughed out as they floated together.
“i can’t believe i wasn’t in trouble!” y/n exclaimed.
they laugh at the events of the night. they calm down after a while and end up simply floating in the water.
y/n had her arms around kiri’s neck while kiri’s were on y/n’s waist.
kiri was a bit taller than y/n, so she had to look up at her to talk to her properly.
“everything is good now. we don’t have to hide.” y/n sighed out.
“i know. it’s great.” kiri responded quietly.
“so.. do you think aekayo will still want to tsahìk?” she asked y/n.
“you know, he actually tells me that he does not want to be tsahìk. so someone else could take the position.” y/n said.
“maybe a girl from the forest, very pretty with short hair and the cutest smile-“
“stop it.” kiri laughs in embarrassment.
“what? you don’t think your smile is cute?”
“oh, no i do.” she replied smugly. y/n rolls her eyes.
“i think you’d be a great tsahìk.”
kiri sighs. “really?”
“of course. you have a great spirit. i feel it whenever i’m with you.” she says.
kiri smiled at the compliment.
“from the moment you arrived, the animals here, they loved you. you remember when i taught you to ride ilu? it loved you immediately, you had no trouble.” y/n told her.
“well.. yeah. but tsahìk? shouldn’t that role go to someone from here?” someone who belongs here?” kiri shrugs.
y/n looked taken aback. all that time that kiri’s been here and she still doesn’t believe she belong here?
“kiri, listen to me when i tell you.”
“hm.” kiri pretended not to take her seriously,
y/n took her hand and out it under kiri’s chin, making her face her.
“listen!”
“mph- okay!” she laughed.
“you belong here.” y/n said.
kiri’s expression softens. “you are metkayina now.”
she stared at y/n with admiration. “but i’m-“
“no. you are metkayina. say it.”
kiri rolls her eyes as y/n lets go of her chin. “i am.. metkayina.”
“good. do not forget.” y/n said quietly.
y/n’s hand goes back to it’s original spot on the back of kiri’s neck.
they look at each other for a moment before kiri kissed her for the first time tonight.
she pulled her closer as the girls stayed, kissing each other passionately.
i belong here.

Mama's boy
Pair: Jake x neytiri x human reader (trio couple) x sully children's
Warning: none, lo'ak being a sweet little potato for is mama. Sweet family moment.
Request: (anon) You were incredible in these new chapters, if it wasn't much, I would have been able to do a trisal story about Jake, neitiry and reader human where she has 2 more hybrid children (half human,Half na'vi)..
Note: I have always believed that avatars may be able to reproduce with humans. Both males and females. Since there are human traits in their DNA. So both jake and his children could reproduce with any human. That is my theory.
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6(final)
You loved days like this, it was a fresh and calm day in the jungle of Pandora. No one in the family had anything important to do. Just relax and spend time together. If anyone had told you that in a few years you were going to be sitting quietly on the floor of your home. With your son on your lap, while playing with one of his toys. With such loving partners, you wouldn't have believed them. And you had a good point for not believing. Neytiri and Jake were your mates, while you were human. The only human who was mated to two na'vi. The only human who had given birth to a na'vi baby, naturally.
Lo'ak had been born as a na'vi. With his distinctive braid, tail, skin color, ears etc. Just like his father, jake. But his human features were always there, he inherited your hands, some facial features that made him different from his siblings. Like kiri, they were a mixture of human and na'vi. This was not important to you, in your family these differences were not important and everyone was treated equally.
Neytiri was running around in circles playing with kiri, while neteyam was playing with jake. Meanwhile lo'ak was sitting very comfortably on your lap. Sucking his little finger, while you cuddled him. He was very peaceful, well…when he was with you. The bond that lo'ak had with you was very strong, he needed his mommy with him all the time. Neteyam and kiri were more active, while lo'ak preferred to be by your side. You tried to keep him away from you, so that he would become more independent. But it was all in vain, even mo'at herself told you that this was normal. That eventually he would become more independent, but he was already 5 years old, and he didn't seem to improve. Of course, this never bothered you… lo'ak became your own tail. Always behind you. Lo'ak could be with neytiri, about 3 to 5 hours. But then he would cry for you to hold him, and it was the same with jake. Lo'ak just wanted to be with you.
Neteyam ran to you, hugging you. The boy was about your size, but you didn't care. Hugging him back, to give him lots of kisses on his cheeks. Neteyam didn't notice but pushed lo'ak off your lap, causing the boy to fall to the ground. "mama… I want to be with you" says neteyam, now sitting where lo'ak once was. Lo'ak immediately began to cry. It was a very big and exaggerated whine. "Calm love…neteyam needs to be with me too" you try to calm him down, but you could barely touch him. Because neteyam was curled up on your chest. Neytiri comes closer, taking lo'ak in her arms to calm him down.
After a long six minutes, lo'ak calms down. But you can see how the child looks down from above, on Neytiri's shoulder. His eyes were watery and he was pouting. You try to ignore him, he has to learn that you were not only from him. Neteyam was also your son, as was Kiri. And they too demanded your attention. Kiri approaches his younger brother, hopping from neytiri's feet. "You're a mama's boy… an ugly, crying baby," Kiri says jokingly. Neytiri scolds her, while you and jake couldn't hold in the laughter. It was funny, but you take Kiri by the arm. Sitting her down next to you.
"Kiri…that's not right, lo'ak is special. He needs a lot of love" says neytiri holding the child in her arms, hoping he doesn't start crying. "No…mama is mine!!!!" says neteyam, hugging your neck more. Lo'ak whimpers, lifting his head from neytiri's shoulder. "Noooo mama is mine" shouts lo'ak.
"No!!!, only mine!!!" neteyam yells back, sticking out his tongue. This makes lo'ak upset, and he starts to cry. "nooo mama!!!! Let go of neteyam!!!!! Mama let go of me, I want to go on the floor" lo'ak is crying, while neytiri giggles a little. It's adorable to watch as the two children fight for your attention. Jake gets up from the floor, walking to your direction and taking neteyam from your lap. To now lay him down on the floor. Kneeling on the floor to carry you in his arms, bridal style. You laugh, as the children begin to whine.
"Technically, your mom is all mine" jake says, sticking his tongue out at his kids, reaching over to give you a kiss on your forehead. Watching as they start to whine. Neytiri was giggling, while now all the kids wanted her to carry them to keep up with jake. "Well…I'd say I'm more Neytiri's than yours" you say, reaching up to give him a kiss on the tip of his nose. (Y/N is wearing the oxygen mask I'm always mentioning, "click here" to learn more about it) Neytiti lets out a loud laugh, you could see her cheeks turn purple. Neytiri had a soft spot for you. Jake lets out a sigh of surrender and hugs you tighter. Leaving kisses on your neck, while you laugh.
In the evening, everyone was settled in their respective hammocks. You were finishing getting Kiri settled, while Jake put the boys to bed. After a while, you lay down in your own hammock, you were tired. You were about to go to sleep, when you feel little hands touching your arm. You open your eyes, finding lo'ak's little face. The child had his arms outstretched for you to carry him. Laughing a little, you hold the child. And settle him on your chest. Snuggling him with your arms, giving him lots of kisses on the crown of his head. "My beautiful baby…you are sad" you lullaby to lo'ak. He only responds with a "hmmm" and falls asleep in your arms.
Jake comes up to you one last time, to check that all was well. As he approaches, he notices how you and lo'ak were cuddling. "I imagined he was with you," Jake said softly. Leaning in to give you a kiss on the tip of your nose. "Well… you know what he's like" you joke. "He's a mama's boy…a cute mama's boy. You know…" jake pauses, thinking about how he was going to say what he was going to say next. "Eventually you'll have to let him grow up…kids his age are more independent and " jake is interrupted, when one of your hands goes to his mouth. "Shhh shut up…when it's time, he'll grow up on his own…in the meantime we'll be here for him." you speak, slapping jake's arm playfully. There was a small silence, until you see a playful smile on Jake's lips.
"Babe…why don't you leave lo'ak here quietly and come sleep with me and neytiri" jake takes your hand and gives it a kiss on the palm, causing you to giggle and blush. "Together…the three of us" jake jokes biting your fingers. You laugh softly, trying not to wake lo'ak. You think about it for a moment, and the truth is you missed sleeping with jake and neytiri. Lo'ak consumed too much of your time, so you accept Jake's offer. You carefully settled lo'ak down, making sure he was comfortable.
Jake was behind you, excited. You could hear his tail bump between his legs. He held your hand, walking quickly to the hammock that you and Jake and Neytiri usually shared. Neytiri watches as you and Jake approach. She gets excited, it had been about 3 months since you last slept with them. Reaching out her hand, she takes yours. You climb in easily, feeling Jake hold you around the waist. Both of you settling into the hammock. You were in the middle of them, neytiri hugged you. While Jake hugs you from behind, burying his head in the back of your neck. "I missed this," says neytiri, enjoying the comfort. A couple of minutes later, lo'ak's crying began to be heard. You lift your head from neytiri's chest, beginning to stand up. When you feel her hug you tighter. "No… Y/N you must let him calm down himself" neytiri says. "Y/N, neytiri is right" jake speaks.
"He ate, he's clean and he's comfortable. He can be alone" says neytiri, she was serious. You knew you had to leave him alone, but lo'ak was your baby. Your only baby. "If he doesn't stop crying in five minutes, I'll go check on him. You stay here and rest," Jake speaks, kissing your shoulder. Your partner had you in his arms, if it wasn't for that you'd be at lo'ak's side by now. And as if by magic, lo'ak stopped crying. Jake got out of the hammock and checked from afar. Seeing how the child had already fallen asleep.
"See…it's all right," says Neytiri, hugging you even tighter. You snuggle closer to her. As you feel jake settle in behind you. Hugging you both. This parenting thing was all new to all of you.

HI ILY!!! i was wondering if u could do a argument fic likeeeee katsuki and reader got into a argument and they are both DISTRAUGHT bc they’re so corny and in love and hate fighting but the argument was bad and they’re oh so sad whatever whatever !! and katsuki has to make it up to them EEE !! PLEASE I LIVE EAT SLEEP AND BREATHE UR FANFICS !! LOVE U CASHHH🤍
operation : trouble in paradise !
katsuki tries to get his boyfriend privileges back..
EEEE TYSM AND I ACTUALLY LOVE THIS ASK !! Its my guilty pleasure like both parties hating to argue bc they love each other so much im so sorry that’s adorable. and again ty SOOO much !!! hope you enjoy, ive actually gotten a similar ask, so that one ill try to have that come out soon !
FEM READER, katsuki is melodramatic, argument, fluff fluff despite argument, 3rd year bk squad boys !, kissing, making up yipeee, reader likes flowers, lemme know if i missed sum else !
“she fuckin’ hates me.”
for the past ten minutes he’d barged into kirishima’s room, bakugou has been moping. wallowing, even.
“no she doesn’t, man..” kirishima reassured. for the umpteenth time, he’s honestly lost count. he’d tried putting a hand on the boy’s shoulder earlier but said boy had shrugged him off angrily, grumbling out a dramatic “don’t touch me.” despite being flopped face down on his bed.
“i know her better, kirishima. yes she does.” the blonde insists, voice muffled by the redhead’s pillows. kirishima sighs, patting his friends leg before making his way to his office chair across from the bed, ignoring the muffled grumbles bakugou lets out.
“how bout you just..go apologize ?”
“i already told you i can’t. she—”
“yeah, she hates you. got it.” kirishima finishes his friends sentence, causing the blond to groan. “look dude, you’ll never know unless you try. you’ve been together for ages now.”
“a year.” katsuki corrects, he purposely forgets to mention he knows exactly how many months it has been too. kirishima nods excitedly, trying to get him out of his frankly sad state. “yeah ! so, this shouldn’t be anything man. arguments happen all the time, no matter how much you love each other.”
katsuki feels his ears burn at the word love on his friends lips, he’s told you he loved you of course. but it still felt weird to acknowledge it.
he turns just enough for his scowl to be visible to his friend, who sends him an encouraging smile.
“so what the fuck do i do then ?” kirishima grins wider, sharp teeth on display. “there we go, that’s more like ya, dude !” he exclaims. he quickly shuffles to grab a notepad strewn onto his messy desk (kirishima’s desk was so messy it made katsuki itch sometimes, a shiver almost passes through him whenever he sees the state it’s in)
kirishima drops onto the floor, placing the notepad onto his mattress and scribbling, with a pen katsuki has no idea where he fished out, a messy “operation: get your bf privileges back !!!!!!” bakugou fixes kirishima with a dead look, the other only tilts his head, still cheerful.
“what ?”
“what the fuck is this, kirishima.”
kirishima scoffs at the blonde’s dead tone, “listen man, you wanna win your girlfriend back or not ?!” bakugou squints at him, hard. but only let’s out a loud sigh. kirishima takes that as his answer and with a nod continues writing down notes.
katsuki groans to himself, looking down at his friend scribbling down his grand plan, and he better hope it works.
maybe you should call him..
no, you won’t. it was his fault you were like this anyway.
..but maybe you went a bit too far..?
ugh. you groan, rolling around in your bed. you’d tried to distract yourself by going through your tiktok feed but it seemed the world was against you or your fbi agent hated your guts. your feed was either overly cutesy couples content that made you miss your angry blond, or break up videos that made you miss him even more.
ugh. you shove your head even harder in your pillows.
you’re really trying to hold your ground, because you want katsuki to know he’d hurt your feelings, but now that you think about it you don’t even remember what you’d argued about. it was petty for sure, you’re about 80% sure it was a petty argument.
maybe you should—
you shake your head, steeling your nerves. so what if it was a dumb argument ?! that didn’t mean he could get away with everything!
“uuuugh,” you groan out loud, you miss your katsuki.
a knock at your door startles you. it must be mina, you’d texted her earlier that you were mad at your boyfriend and she’d told you that she “excepted all the deets of what his dumbass did this time as SOON as i get back !!!!” and you were waiting, maybe venting about it could make you feel better and less dramatic.
you open your door expecting to see your overly excited best friend. but instead—
flowers, almost whacking you in the face you might add, are shoved in your face before you can get a word out. you squeak in shock, they’re pretty though, your favorites. and you know only one person who knows what your favorite flowers are.
“wh-katsuki ?!”
and there he is, red faced and angry. scowl on his face and bouquet of pretty flowers in hand.
you can’t tear your eyes away from him, he can’t keep his eyes in one spot—flying from you occasionally to your door to the flowers and repeat. he blinks, you blink.
“here.” he grunts, waving the flowers towards you. “f’r you.” he glances at you.
“o-oh !” you exclaim suddenly, whisking the flowers towards yourself. the bouquet is big, it’s definitely a bit bigger than your head. katsuki searches your face to gauge your reaction“i—uhm! thank you..” you utter shyly, katsuki grunts. he shoves his hands in his pockets the moment you’ve gripped the bouquet, kicking at something you can’t see on the floor.
your heart skips a beat. tentatively, you lean against the door “didn’t take you for a flower guy..”
he scoffs, kicking the toe of his sneakers against the floor “‘m not.. but you like these, right ?”
trick question. he knows you do, you mentioned in passing these were your favorites, unless you suddenly decided you didn’t like these anymore. then he’s fucked. but he decides to continue despite the worry growing in his lower belly, the plan was already a go now.
“i—uhm, listen..” your boyfriend fumbles, he throws his head back and groans when his words won’t come out right. you give him a tiny smile, his eyes soften just a bit.
“i fucked up, okay ?” he admits, scratching at his nape “shouldn’t have said all that shit to you, or whatever..” you can tell he’s beyond embarrassed. he’d melt if he could get any redder, he keeps scratching and won’t look at you for more than a few seconds at a time and katsuki who’s always the loudest in the room can barely manage a mumble. you know he means it though, he never did anything he didn’t feel like doing. you wait for him to continue and he looks at you then.
“i don’t ever like arguing with you. ever.” he insists “so jus..forgive me, kay ?” he finishes quietly. your heart jumps and leaps and you can’t stand acting cold anymore. you walk a bit closer to him, the flowers block you from fully being close to him.
katsuki’s eyes are wide as you lean in to kiss right next to his lips, you laugh at his bewildered expression and his eyes soften when he snaps out of it. he rolls his eyes, you smile wider.
“i forgive you, i’m sorry too. i don’t like arguing with you either..” you admit, katsuki reaches for your hand, you feel the tips of his fingers brush against your skin, you give it to him and he grips it tight. then he leans in and presses a kiss to your lips, it’s a sweet little apology kiss that turns a bit too passionate after a while, and you pull him towards you and into your room away from prying eyes. katsuki kicks the door shut behind him and pulls you closer by your waist.
“guess i gotta—thank shitty hair..” he mumbles in between kisses, “an’ i owe him twenty bucks.”
you make a noise against his lips and pull away, raising a brow and holding his shoulders when he tries to lean in to kiss you again. “what’s that mean ?”
your boyfriend huffs “told shitty hair i’d give him twenty bucks if his shitty plan worked.”
“plan, what plan ?” you ask, katsuki squints at you, a grumbling noise comes from his throat, almost a whine.
“yer really gonna make me spell it out aren’t you..” he mutter bitterly, shoving his head in your neck. he continues, “shitty hair helped me come up with a plan to make you not mad at me anymore. i told him it wouldn’t work, he said it would, and we bet on it.”
you laugh in disbelief, katsuki chomps at your neck to silence you, squeezes his arms tighter around your stomach to make you wheeze, but you can’t stop laughing. “that’s so cute !”
“shaddup.” he growls in response. you muffle your giggles in his shoulder. katsuki grumbles some more and you run your hands up and down his back.
“well then,” you hum, pressing a kiss to his nape, his arms around you tighten. “i guess we’ll both have to thank kiri then.”
