Does it ever hit you that Martha sat down in New New York and told the Doctor that she needed his honesty more than she needed to go home and that religious music played in the background at that scene and it was almost framed as a confession, in the most religious sense, and go a little bit feral? That as early as her third episode, she was framed as his equal, equally divine, equally a doctor, able to confront him, able to make him honest, able to sympathize with him, able to abide with him? That so few companions have ever spent so much time in one time period with the Doctor (1969/1913, for example), being with him/her, not running, just staying? That for every fucking thing Ten did wrong as John Smith/after coming back to himself in Human Nature/Family of Blood, he trusted her enough to leave himself vulnerable and human in her care, because he trusted her as a Doctor, because she was just as much a Doctor as he was? That Martha was, more than any other companion of the Tenth Doctor's, his equal, that her final speech about not being second was not just talking about her not being second best to Rose but about being second best to him? That she finally understood what had been true from the moment that they met and she closed Stoker's eyes and the Doctor realized that she had not just bravery and cleverness but a kindness that he had forgotten, that Martha Jones, more than anything else, has been and always will be The Doctor?

thinking about getting sexiled on short notice in my freshman dorm (worst case: coming back from a shower to find door locked & hair tie around the doorknob) and how ludicrous that seems to me now. "a fundamentally unserious way for people to coordinate around sexual activity"

Overprotective Ron and Hermoine

Thinking of Ron and Hermoine being so overprotective over Harry after the war. No one even dares to crowd around Harry, not when the two other part of the golden trio started brandishing their wands around as if they were knives that they could just use to stab someone.

(They could, and they would. No one really dared to know because they've seen the two fight in the war; Harry has morals stopping him from doing things, but the two? They seemed to lost it after watching their Harry trying to fight to live and to save their world.)

Once, someone tried ambusing Harry to talk to him (when others say that he was so protected, it was not a lie). It was someone (coughFudgecough) who wants Harry to support him in his political agenda. Unfortunately, when the emerald-eyed boy denied the man, he started shouting at him and even dared to cast a spell towards his direction.

Very furious about what the man tried to do, both Ron and Hermoine started casting every (legal and borderline illegal) curses and spells that they could think of. A few of the witnesses even swore that they saw Hermoine cast a crucio towards the foolish man, but they aren't really willing to do so in court.

(They believe that the man coughFudgecough deserves it.)

#this is why we have to abide by the “3 fucks per character” rule #octavia gets 3 “fuck”s 3 “shit”s and 3 “bitch”s per chapter with unlimited low level swars eg crap and damn #this is good actually cuz it makes me think of where itd be the funniest/most effective to add swears so they dont lose their bite #also if you are going to write a story where swears are used i feel like you should have at least one character with a sqeaky clean mouth #and maybe let them swear like. twice through the entire thing #(for RAA this is onion and vivica)#(vivica is only allowed to use ye olde swears such as “blast” and “great heavens” and “jesus mary joseph”)

fking sucks as a female engineer i have to literally go through all the documentation for a subject just to be like i read the docs here’s where ur wrong bc me going ‘my understanding is-‘ by itself has historically not been enough to persuade Anyone.

I think it's weird to constantly engage with discourse and people whining about others disliking your ship... just ignore it. Why fester in discontent and anger when you can just, you know, carry on and enjoy what you like in your own space? It's really not that hard to just ignore others.

the reason i do that is because ZADRers get harassed every day (especially on Twitter) for "shipping a proship" that isnt actually a proship. which is where that DNI comes from. ZADR is not a proship. i think its stupid to ask people to not interact because you think something that very clearly is not wrong is wrong. ive seen my friends and mutuals have ZADR antis come INTO their space and harass them for it. it's horrible. it IS that hard to ignore it. if they're so active about it being a proship that they have to have a DNI banner about it, they're probably the same people who harass my friends. that's why i interact anyway. we shouldn't be ostracized in our own fandom. i shouldn't have to go check if someone has ZADR dni on their page when i accidentally interact so that i dont get blocked on sight because that's the standard. this fandom is supposed to be a space for everyone who enjoys invader zim, not a space for those who believe a certain thing and not for others. thats why i interact with ZADR antis. thank you for the ask, it helps me express my feelings on the topic. :)
