Well I guess it would make sense if Misty is a lesbian now. She's never shown liking any other guys besides Ash, and on the latter I guess she's made peace with the fact that Ash will always go traveling and she'll stay at the Gym as it's leader. So maybe her and Lana being together is for the best, since they're both female water pokemon trainers. I prefer lesbian Misty over Misty with any other guy anyway, so it's all for the best. I'm glad we can all agree on this.

Wow, anon. You took what I inferred with my support of a crack!ship and just ran in the complete opposite direction with it, didn’t you? But of course, you expect me to believe you’re a Pokeshipper too.

Never mind that nothing you said is sensible at all.

For instance, you say it “makes sense” for Misty to suddenly be a lesbian because she’s “made peace” with the fact that Ash will keep traveling while she maintains the Cerulean Gym but… Lana isn’t sticking around either?? Lana isn’t even from Kanto and has less reason than Ash to stay/enter into a relationship with anyone from Kanto. (All this being said, I’m not saying that I believe either ship will happen in the current canon; just talking about what is realistic/likely under the specific conditions you set.)

Also, before I move on to my next point, I would like to add that there are more sexuality titles than “straight” or “lesbian”. Misty could end up being bisexual. I’ve already made an argument for why Misty is demisexual in the past.

And Misty has shown “interest” in other guys before…

Yes, I do think Misty somewhat reciprocated Rudy’s feelings for her. I’ve written about it sporadically before but that’s why I in part believe she had so much trouble making her decision about staying with him or continuing her travels with Ash. In the end, however, her feelings for/friendship with Ash won out.

(Please note: I in no way support Misty with someone who is an adult, and in no way seriously think that Danny was interested in her romantically either. But just like little kids can experience fangirly/puppy love over musicians and movie stars, I think that it makes sense in the Pokemon world to appreciate flattery from/find oneself fawning over a mature, handsome, gentlemanly, and skilled Pokemon trainer, no matter their age/gender. If people think Misty can have a similar crush on Prima - which there is even more evidence for - then this is not impossible.)

Like I said in my previous posts that you clearly took too far/seriously, I’ve always supported the concept of Misty making intimate connections with people she meets and has similar interests in. Mikey (from the Eeveelution family), Sakura (from Johto), Melody (from 2000), May (who basically fangirled over Misty upon first introduction), Max (who felt similar insecurities as she did in the past over being the youngest in the family), and now Lana.

But I also understand the concept of what is likely in the realm of the Pokemon anime. Misty connecting with Lana over having a love for water-type Pokemon and going swimming with her is probably platonic (just like any of her other intimate connections with canon characters outside of Ash), no matter how cute it is at the same time.

Like I’ve always said, Misty’s feelings for Ash are longlasting, serious, and irrefutably canon. Considering the characters don’t age and time doesn’t really exist, as well as the fact that she reaffirms her feelings for ~someone~ in A Date With Delcatty (and Ash is the only character Misty has shown longlasting and irrefutable and serious romantic feelings for), one can assume that those feelings still exist, even if these cameo episodes don’t have the time to explicitly reintroduce them.

Now can I go back to shipping both my OTP and my newest Misty crack!ship in peace?

Currently traveling to train for a spot as a Kantonian Gym Leader. Actually wants to take his mom's position as the Cerulean City Gym Leader but hasn't told her yet so he's approaching this rather slowly.

Personality wise,  he's actually just pretty tired. First, he had to raise his sister for 3 years and now he has to deal with Mack's shenanigans, Holly's enabling, and neither one of them wanting to admit their feelings for the other one. Despite his cynical nature, he is rather supportive, especially when it comes to his little sister. He also has abandonment issues just like his mom fr.

Misty could already tell that something was wrong here: there is a seven-year-old and a four-year-old completely unattended in her gym, the seven-year-old wants to battle her with a Wooper that can barely defend himself, the seven-year-old is completely disheveled while the four-year-old looks perfectly fine, she can see the eyebags under the seven-year-old's eyes, and most importantly there is a seven-year-old challenging her to a gym battle.

Misty, concerned as to why a seven-year-old wants to battle her: What're you two doing here? Where are your parents?
