Inspired by the fact that I am rewatching my first ghibli movie spirited away

#My oldest sister brought a subbed copy of Mononoke Hime one time on a weekend visit to us when I was 9#It was before she had gotten the dubbed version which came out a couple weeks before#But it was amazing and I was so enthralled by the visuals and it's probably the first time I experienced anime through sub before dub#To this day I will refer to it as Mononoke Hime instead of Princess Mononoke because that's just the first impression I got#Watching it in Japanese with subtitles as a 9 year old was a transcendent experience that I can never replicate#The next Ghibli film I saw was Kiki's Delivery Service#I need to replace my old Ghibli DVDs because they're starting to decay#Maybe there's a box set I can pine after
