Regimen Records is proud to announce the highly anticipated single release, video and “One Night Only” performances from Award Winning Contemporary Gospel legend Bebe Winans. On April 12, the Detroit native will deliver his newest offering appropriately titled “Father In Heaven (Right Now)." Written and produced by Winans, "Father In Heaven (Right Now)" recounts the many ways in which he has witnessed and felt God’s hand on his life. The ballad serves as a reminder of celebration and testimony.
Along with the song, the Gospel great is set to deliver a new music video which perfectly conveys the essence of the song. Filmed over the course of four sold out performances across South Africa in January 2024, the official clip for “Father In Heaven (Right Now)” captures Bebe Winans on stage bringing his unique blend of Gospel, Soul and R&B to thousands of fans.
“I must say this song speaks to the core of my being,” the singer says of the song. “I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for everything. I hope it moves listeners to the point of surrender when it is released on April 12, 2024.” In addition to the new single, Bebe Winans is ramping up towards the announcement of a series of special live shows taking place in July 2024. Inspired by a recent performance at New York City’s renowned Apollo Theater, the singer/songwriter and radio personality will be appearing in Chicago - Country Club Hills Amphitheater on July 13, Washington, DC - Kennedy Center on July 24, and Westbury NY - Westbury Music Fair on July 27. Tickets will be made available on Thursday, April 11, 2024 via Ticketmaster. Additional cities and venues will be announced soon.
Over the course of his storied career, Bebe Winans has more than earned his place as one of the most respected voices in not just Gospel music, but contemporary African American pop culture. A member of the legendary Winans Family, he rose to prominence in the late 80’s and early 90’s as a member of the duo Bebe & Cece Winans. The brother/sister team has sold millions of albums to date and garnered over 100 million streams across all platforms with their solo and group releases. Their 1991 album Different Lifestyles landed at the no. 1 position on both Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and the Top Gospel Albums chart.
In addition to his iconic (and still growing) discography - which includes the hits such as: "He Promised Me," "Laughter," "I.O.U. Me," "Heaven," “Addictive Love”, "Hold Up The Light" with Whitney Houston and many more, his voice has also served the Gospel community as host of the nationally syndicated BeBe Winans Radio Show. Bebe Winans is a six-time Grammy Award winner, a six Stellar Award winner, a three-time Soul Train Award winner, a ten-time recipient of the DOVE Awards, and has taken home four NAACP Image Awards, as well as a NAACP Theater Award Winner for "Best Playwright" for the musical, Born For This.

Bitfinex Critics Prepare for Possible Legal Action After Cryptocurrency Exchange Lawyers Up
Bitfinex, the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform, has hired Steptoe & Johnson, a heavy-hitting, international law firm based in Washington, D.C., to try to put an end to what their PR firm calls “a campaign of mistruth.”
According to an earlier statement issued by Ronn Torossian, CEO of 5W, the PR company representing the exchange, Bitfinex is “signaling to those who engage in this activity that they are serious about protecting the truth and their business.”
Steptoe & Johnson is known for its work in the digital currency space. The firm leads the Blockchain Alliance, a coalition of blockchain companies and U.S. and international law enforcement agencies around the world.
Although Bitfinex did not spell out exactly whom it was threatening to take legal action against, the announcement comes at a time when blogger Bitfinex’ed has been persistently denouncing the company in a series of detailed Medium posts and ongoing tweets. Other critics have been taking their swings at Bitfinex as well.
“To date, every claim made by these bad actors has been patently false and made simply to agitate the cryptocurrency ecosystem,” Stuart Hoegner, in-house counsel for Bitfinex, said in the announcement. “As a result, Bitfinex has decided to assert all of its legal rights and remedies against these agitators and their associates.”
The Backstory
Bitfinex, incorporated in the Virgin Islands, is closely tied to cryptocurrency company Tether, based in Hong Kong. Both companies are owned and operated by the same individuals, as revealed in recently leaked documents.
Tether issues a token (USDT) that is pegged, or tethered, to the U.S. dollar. Essentially, one USDT is supposed to represent one dollar. By trading their bitcoin or other cryptocurrency for USDT, traders can essentially park their funds in a stable asset to preserve capital. In that sense, Tether works something like a money market account. Tether also allows traders to move their money between exchanges without going through a bank.
Bitfinex does not support bitcoin-to-fiat trading or withdrawals, so if traders on Bitfinex want to sell their bitcoin for fiat, they would have to transfer their bitcoin to a regulated exchange like U.S.-based Coinbase, which links to users’ bank accounts, allowing them to make direct fiat deposits and withdrawals.
In August 2016, Bitfinex was hacked, losing 120,000 BTC, worth roughly $72 million at the time. Rather than declare bankruptcy, the exchange came up with a three-part strategy. First, it spread the loss out evenly among all its customers, giving everyone a 36 percent haircut and then issuing “BFX tokens” as I.O.U.’s to be redeemed at a later date.
Next, in mid-October, Bitfinex offered to allow its customer to convert their BFX tokens to equity in iFinex, the parent company that operates Bitfinex. As a result, roughly a third of all BFX tokens were converted. Finally, in April 2017, Bitfinex bought back all of the remaining BFX tokens and announced it was clear of debt.
Allegations and Concerns
At issue right now is the fact that more than 800 million USDT are in circulation, but so far, Tether has not shown any real proof that it has the money to back up those tokens.
Bitfinex’ed claims Bitfinex/Tether is creating that money out of thin air. He also claims Bitfinex is manipulating the markets through techniques such as spoofing — where a trader puts in a large bid or ask order to make the price of bitcoin go up or down before canceling the order — and wash trading, where an asset is bought and sold simultaneously to give the impression it is in more demand than it actually is.
He also argues Bitfinex is operating a Ponzi scheme, paying back its debt through accounting tricks, to avoid becoming insolvent after it was hacked in August 2016.
But while Bitfinex is trying to protect its image by threatening legal actions against its critics, Stephen Palley, an attorney at Anderson Kill in Washington, D.C., who focuses on software development, thinks Bitfinex would do better by simply being more transparent.
“Why don’t they just open their books?,” he told Bitcoin Magazine. “What are they afraid of? They are going to have to do that in discovery and litigation anyhow.”
To win in court, Bitfinex would have to prove that the blogger was making claims that were false and unsubstantiated, which would require them to come clean themselves.
“It looks to me like they are using heavy-handed intimidation tactics to shut down someone they claim is inconsequential,” said Palley.
Bitfinex’ed recently tweeted his bitcoin wallet address and said he is seeking donations to defend himself against possible upcoming litigation. One person has already donated 1 BTC (currently worth $11,500).
“This is bloody bananas,” Bitfinex’ed told Bitcoin Magazine, in response to the hiring of Steptoe.
The blogger cited a previous lawsuit filed by Bitfinex, which he claims the exchange had no plans of following through on. In April 2017, Bitfinex filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo for suspending its U.S. dollar wire transfers. That suit was withdrawn a week later.
“Best to be prepared,” Bitfinex’ed said. “If this is [a] big bluff on their end then money goes to charity, I can't hold the bitcoins while whistleblowing.”

Shannon (born Brenda Shannon Greene,May 2, 1958) is an American singer. She is best known for her 1983 million-selling record, “Let the Music Play”. The record re-defined the electro-funk sound that Arthur Baker and John Rocca (who produced “I.O.U” by Freeez) developed in 1982, which would eventually be called freestyle music.
In the spring of 1983, Greene was enrolled at York College and toured with the New York Jazz Ensemble. Quintin Hicks, an associate of the production team of Mark Liggett and Chris Barbosa, later saw Shannon singing with a live band in her cousin’s recording studio. Shannon auditioned for Liggett and Barbosa with the song “She Can’t Love You Like I Do”. They introduced her to the track “Fire and Ice”, which would later evolve into Shannon’s signature song, “Let the Music Play”. This title would also be applied to Shannon’s debut album.
In July 1983, the “Let the Music Play” single was released and Shannon was invited back to record more songs with Liggett and Barbosa. The single reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard”s United States R&B and Hot Dance and Club Play Chart chart. Today, it is ranked #23 among Billboard’s best dance songs of all time.
Her debut album, Let the Music Play, was released in February 1984. The follow-up single from the album was “Give Me Tonight”, which hit the top spot on the Hot Dance, Club Play and R&B chart. It also became a significant hit on Urban radio. It was one of Billboard’s top 30 dance songs for the year 1985. In the U.S., the third single was “My Heart’s Divided”, another Latin freestyle track, featuring Jimmy Choo as one of the back up vocalists. “Sweet Somebody”, a mid-tempo soul effort, made the Top 20 in Europe.
Let the Music Play went on to sell over 2 million copies worldwide. Shannon was nominated for a Grammy and received numerous other awards, including the Dianah Washington (Jack the Rapper) Award, the Hall of Fame Award, the Gold Ampex Reel Award, a certified gold disc by the Recording Industry Association of America, and the Best Billboard Top 10 female R&B vocalist.
In 1985, Shannon released her second album, Do You Wanna Get Away, which sported a sound similar to that of her debut album. The title track became her third #1 on the Dance charts and became her third hit on the Billboard Hot 100. She scored three more dance hits from the album, including “Stronger Together”, a cover of “Urgent” by Foreigner, and “Stop the Noise”, with a video sponsored by Pepsi and Black Angus. Her third album was 1986’s Love Goes All the Way. This album was not as successful as her previous LPs. Shannon was Executive Producer against all odds.
Shannon asked to be released from her recording contract with Atlantic Records in 1987. She recorded soundtracks and jingles, Criminal”, for the movie Fatal Beauty and budweiser . While touring the world, Shannon attended and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
In the late 1990s interest in Shannon rekindled, when VH1 spotlighted her on their One Hit Wonders series. Entertainment Tonight also taped a special about her life. In 1998, she co-wrote and sang on multi tracks produced by Todd Terri, Tony Moran, Germany’s Sash Les Rythmes Digitales Les Rythmes Digitales
In 1999, Shannon released her fourth studio album, The Best Is Yet to Come, on which she is credited as 50% writer of the album (contracted by BMG). Chris Barbosa was invited back as a producer, along with Andy “Panda” Tripoli and Tony Moran. A greatest hits album was released in November 2004 without Shannon’s knowledge and agreement.
On April 20, 2006, Shannon participated in the Freestyle Extranvaganza concert along with Judy Torres, George Lamond, Cynthia, Lisette Melendez, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, The Cover Girls, Hanson and Davis, Coro, and Stevie B.. The event was sponsored by WKTU, WSKQ, and WCAA in New York.
A fifth studio album, “A Beauty Returns”, was released in 2007 without the knowledge and agreement of Shannon.
Today Shannon is a voting member of the Grammy’s (Recording Academy) touring the world (Kuwait, Badghdad and Iraq) with the US Soldiers. She is also in the studio working on new hits for the year 2010. source
