WARPED TOUR 2016: The Interrupters Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills

For the last almost 20 years people continue to talk about 4th wave ska. I personally am one of those people who don't believe in the 4th wave. Like, at all. But if anyone is going to actually get this shit going again, it's The Interrupters. They have a perfect blend of ska, ska punk, punk, reggae, and other influences that make them the perfect "next big punk band". As a drummer in a fellow ska-punk band I can't help but really appreciate this band. 

The best part about this band is they are fucking legit. There isn't a person within these genres that doesn't believe in this band, let alone champion them, and push them on everyone they can. Even if you haven't seen The Interrupters or know who they are, chances are you have heard them. Their music has been featured in ads for T-Mobile, on the hit tv show "Shameless" and even in Michael Moore's latest documentary "Where To Invade Next?"

If it were 20 years ago we might of had this instead of No Doubt. If only! Just kidding. Their set at Warped Tour was later in the day and the heat was obviously getting to a lot of festival-goers, but that didn't stop the kids from going off to The Interrupters. Check out the gallery below!

Warped Tour 2017 is going to be one for the record books. Rumors have surfaced about the lineup, and we would hate to spread false bull shit. Blessthefall 2015

In 2015 I was able to see Blessthefall at Warped Tour. It was really awesome, the band did an outstanding job. Their were tons of crowd surfers and a nice mosh pit. I met some cool people in the crowd as well. 2016 should be an amazing year for Blessthefall, I can’t wait to see what they bring to 2016.

WARPED TOUR 2016: Every Time I Die! Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills

The last gallery from Warped Tour 2016 in Auburn Hills is from one of my favorite Hardcore bands ever. Every Time I Die. I really don't need to go into why they are one of the most unique groups of musicians out there. I really can't tell you how many times I have seen them because I have honestly lost count. What I can say is this set meant a lot to me and I could feel that it meant even more to them.

The photos from this set turned out so damn good, I am really proud of a few of them. They actually surprised me and sitting at my laptop the next day going through all the photos, these were the ones that really stuck out. It was a highly energetic set as usual. The Buckley brothers and company went the fuck off. This was the set that reminded me I still had a few hours to go. I was dying in the heat, sweating my ass off, screaming lyrics and trying to get the shots without getting tossed from the pit. I wanted to just get up and scream with them. Here are the photos. WARPED TOUR 2016: Knuckle Puck Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills

Knuckle Puck graced one of the smaller stages earlier in the day and it just felt right to snap a crap ton of pictures. This band writes music on a different plane, elevating the depth of songwriting and lyricism in a genre that is founded on songs about coffee and farts. The beauty of this is showing the balance in humor and intelligence. Knuckle Puck being a blatant reference from one of my favorite movies as a kid D2: The Mighty Ducks. I forever will feel bonded to the pop punk bands of Illinois as I spent about half of my youth growing up in the northern Chicago suburbs. Before going further into my past, let's just check out the gallery from Knuckle Puck at the Auburn Hills date of the Vans Warped Tour, July 22nd, 2016 in Michigan. Knuckle Puck is almost always on tour and always working on new music so follow the links below to keep up to date with them. WARPED TOUR 2016: Masked Intruder Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills

Born of an idea in a shitty jail. A bunch of low life scumbags played a great set for a bunch of fucked up kids and quite a few stoned and drunk adults, if you can call us that. I love this band. There might be a schtick, but the fucking shit works. So fuck off if you're pettiness doesn't involve songs about thievery and stalking. This is what I have always loved about punk music, even softer sounding pop punk bands can push boundaries and piss people off. People still don't get this world, whether it is commercialized bands rekindling their glory days on the Warped main stage or admitting time to move on like Yellowcard's most recent retirement. It's nice to have fun in punk and be fucking stupid and make people remember why they used to call us fucked up names and fight us and rob us and fucking kill us. This shit has been safe as fuck for half my life. It's why I like bands like this and heavier bands like Converge or Lorna Shore, who to me piss people the fuck off and to a lot of us, that's exactly what entertainment is here for. Enjoy the gallery and give Masked Intruder some love, I'm sure they got old court fees to pay or bench warrants to deal with. Also, I am in some sort of mood today where I just don't give a shit? Can you tell? Good.
