This is probably a little bit of a hot take, but hear me out:
Wakko is actually the most confident of all three Warner siblings.
I understand why Wakko being the least confident is a more common interpretation. I mean consider how you think each kid would react if individually pulled aside and told the harshest criticisms of themselves, specifically about aspects of themselves that mean a a lot to them. How do you think each kid would react in that scenario? For me, I see Dot getting annoyed and walking away at best, and going full on homicidal at worst. Yakko, for me kinda depends on if we’re talking the original or the reboot. The original I can see him having a similar reaction to Dot, but less extreme and more based on wit and outsmarting, in the reboot I can see him having to fight back an anxiety attack. Wakko however, idk about the rest of you, but I see him getting teary eyed and upset. So it does make sense that Yakko and Dot would be perceived as the confident ones who simply get back at whomever gave the criticisms and then moving on, while Wakko seems more likely to break down a little from it. But to me, it’s this exact thing that could demonstrate the opposite, that Wakko is very confident in himself, while his siblings might be feeling more insecure.
Consider this, regardless of how confident you are, receiving harsh criticisms, or being told someone doesn’t like you or whatever will still sting a bit. It’s normal to be upset by something like that, and it must be worse when you’re a child star like the Warners are. Being confident overall doesn’t make you immune to being insecure, especially when you’re a kid still figuring out who you are. Wakko seems to be the one most in tune with his emotions, the one most likely to express the emotions he feels at any given time. If Wakko feels upset because he’s feeling insecure, he has his reaction, he lets himself be upset, and then he gets over it. He seems more insecure because he’s getting upset, but he’s just being honest and letting himself be a person with emotions.
Meanwhile, Yakko and Dot seem to exude confidence. Someone insults them and they seem to know the insulter is wrong and get their revenge and call it a day. But I’m here to argue that these behaviors of Yakko and Dot aren’t confidence, they’re a show, a self defense mechanism, a mask of confidence to hide insecurity. Personally, with the reboot, particularly episodes like the Halloween special, I don’t think I need explain this interpretation for Yakko, but I do feel compelled to argue this interpretation for Dot. Dot is great and she knows it, and she’ll likely angrily mallet your face flat if you dare to suggest otherwise. Not to get all Dr. Scratchansniff on everyone, but anger is considered a secondary emotion. We feel anger to give us energy to deal with something, something that another emotion has deemed important. Go from feeling terrified to angry? That’s your emotions trying to get you to act in a way that protects you from the threat. So if Dot’s gut reaction to someone thinking lesser of her than she thinks of herself is to get angry, it’s likely because there’s another underlying emotion there, likely feeling threatened or insecure. Same argument goes for Yakko, though it seems clear from the Halloween special of the reboot that his underlying emotion is probably anxiety.
Basically what I’m getting at is Wakko does the healthy thing, let’s himself feel the emotions, and then he moves on, whereas Yakko and Dot don’t express what they’re feeling, put up veils of “everything is fine this person is just dumb and I’m gonna make sure they know that,” and then move on without actually having taken care of or properly addressed their hurt.
And honestly, Wakko being more secure with himself actually makes a lot sense considering the roles each of them play in their dynamic. Yakko is the oldest, he’s the leader, he’s expected to know what to do next, so he needs to be confident, even if it’s all an act. Dot is the only girl, she has to be the representation for girls and women, and she’s clearly is a feminist who wants to inspire, but how can she do that if she’s not confident? How can she inspire women, and especially young girls, to be confident if she is not perfectly confident herself? And then there’s Wakko. Wakko’s job is to show up and be goofy and silly. He’s not the oldest having to make decisions, and he’s not representing an entire group of people. Wakko might even have some middle child syndrome going on (suggested by Yakko in the Survey Ladies episode of the original), which might be frustrating at times, but also means he can easily fade into the background and not many people care. He can sit back and do what he wants and everyone’s just kinda like “there’s Wakko being Wakko”
So yeah, I think between their roles and Wakko’s healthier way of dealing with things, I think Wakko is chill and sure of himself, while Yakko and Dot are likely overcompensating in their confidence.
#Animaniacs#yakko wakko and dot#Yakko Warner#Wakko Warner#dot Warner#also I think Wakko is aware that he’s more confident than his siblings#which is why I’m the be like me song he stated he’ll always stand up for his ‘mates’#a line wakko sung while his siblings were being teased#idk just random idea I had and I wanted to share with everyone#Wakko needs more love

Yax, the How and Why:
Part 1: Why do people ship them?
Decided it was time I put together all my thoughts about why I think Yax works particularly well as a ship, and what they all bring to the table.
There's a lot to talk about here, and I'm going to try and hit at least all my big points. I'm also going to be looking at them from the standpoint of Goof Troop, and A Goofy movie, as well as the Og Animaniacs and reboot, Wakkos Wish, (even though that's out of universe for animaniacs) comics, and even the toys.
This is about to get really long, so I'll put it under a read more.
From a personality standpoint, they compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses so well.
Max is earnest and honest. He always has been.
From Goof troop where he wants so badly to do good things, and goes immediately to an adult when he messes up, to A Goofy Movie, where he goes so far to impress the people around him, to his want to do a good job in House of mouse. It's a constant whenever we see him on screen.
Max has seen a lot of growth through his shows and movies, but he's also been consistent. Goofy has clearly done an incredible job raising Max. Max is pretty open about his emotions. He doesn't hide them from his friends or family. There's a level of vulnerability that comes from that, and despite being bullied and picked on, he knows who he is, it only become a matter of insecurity getting other people to see that.
In A Goofy Movie, he doesn't worry about being good enough for roxanne. He says with conviction that "after today, she'll be mine". He doesn't doubt his own abilities. He's confident in what he does, and what he knows he's good at, like skateboarding.
Max is dramatic, he's flamboyant and a show off. He has made himself the center of attention on purpose before; as long as it's something he's well versed in and is confident he can impress with, he thrives. He loves to have that positive attention from big crowds. It pushes him forward.
He is also, and this is very important, a troublemaker.
He always has been, and not just in a well meaning sense.
In Goof Troop, he shows that he's the scheming type, he's the type to cause problems on purpose, just because it's fun. It's often the problem or the solution to several episodes.
Just like the Warners.
Now, these are never super harmful, he's a good kid at his core. He's kind and patient and understands his mistakes, but he's an absolute menace. He would have no trouble fitting in with patented Warner antics.
This next point is talked about a lot.
Max's issues and insecurities make for a fantastic story of growth with Yakko and his siblings. He's worried about being laughed at, at people hearing his laugh (something that is the best part of individuals and their expression of self) and worries about what other people think of it. This issue of his hits against Yakko's need to make people laugh.
They're complimentary. They're foils to each other.
Yakko is similar, but because of how he grew up, and the role he was forced into, he mirrors Max's traits as well.
Yakko is sarcastic, he undercuts a lot of sincerity with humor or hides it behind a veil of snark. He hides his feelings for fear of backlash. Unlike Max, who has his emotions on his sleeve, and has been encouraged to feel them openly from a young age.
Yakko's not able to be so open emotionally, because doing so has gotten both him and his siblings hurt.
Yakko is smart. He's tactical where Max is emotional. He schemes as well, as the spearhead and leader of the zany trio, but he sees more angles than Max does.
He does it out of self preservation in ADDITION to doing it to be a menace and for fun. He's the mastermind of the group, just like Max is to his own group. They're both the snarky personas. Yakko wants, NEEDS to make people laugh, his self worth is tied to it, it's what he was made to do. It's a source of anxiety for him, but also a source of joy. We've seen several instances of moments where Yakko falls back on his "Nations of the World" song, because he wants to make a good impression. We also have evidence of him stressing about his ability to perform in his sleep.
Being able to tell exactly how others are feeling helps Yakko pivot his plans and react in line to the antagonist. He has a hard time being sincere sometimes, prefers to keep himself protected.
But he also craves attention. Loves to be at the center of it, loves it more when it's something he's passionate in or prides himself with.
His jokes, his wit, his singing. His ability to sing and speak tongue twisters that nobody else can. All things he's confident in.
Yakko's strengths lie more in his mind, as opposed to Max's physical capabilities.
Together, they create a dynamic duo of mischief, being people with similar senses of humor, (we have seen both Yakko and Max tell almost identical jokes)they make each other laugh.
With strong senses of justice, they both aren't afraid to bring out the schemes on "special friends", or on people who deserve it; we see that a lot in Goof Troop.
Max is used to havoc. He's closely acquainted with it, he's been doing Goof Luck damage control since he was a small child, constantly being pushed to take the wheel of his dad's mishaps, sometimes very literally.
He would fit in seamlessly to the Warner's adventures, egg them on or do damage control. He's perfectly suited to fill in the space where he's needed, like a liquid changing shape to its container.
They're two sides of the same coin. They are opposites but they support each others weaknesses.
The emotional openness vs. The guarded emotions.
The need to make people laugh vs. The need to not show his laugh.
The physical vs. mental strengths.
Together, they gain inner and outer strength. They'll have someone to confide in, someone with much different upbringings and experiences than their own. Both in and out of universe.
But that's not really all there is to it, is there?
No, because family is so integral to both of their characters, we can't really talk about how good Yax is, and why it works, without talking about Goofy, Wakko, and Dot.
Yakko would never date someone, or even be friends with someone if they didn't like his siblings. Not just get along, like.
The Warners are "All for one, and one for all times 3". There is no talking about such a major change to the Warner dynamic without addressing every Warner, because they're affected too.
Dot and Wakko need someone to be friends with outside of themselves. They need familiarity and kindness.
Who better to open the Warner's to a kinder life, than a toon from a company all about the power of familial and romantic love? The themes that surround Max and Goofy(as well as many other Disney's), are exactly the kind of thing that those kids need the most.
Wakko and Dot need to have love that comes from the outside. Love from a parental figure who isn't their older brother, and love from a real friend, someone who cares about them who they aren't related to and can talk through issues they may otherwise be uncomfortable talking to their siblings about. The Warners are closer than any siblings that have or will ever exist, but there's still some things that are easier to talk about with a third party.
With Goofy, (someone who knows how to raise a kid, and what they would need to thrive) the Warners can finally, just be kids.
Yakko being happy is a the big part, but having the Warners brought into the Disney family by Goofy Goof, the man with so much understanding and love to give, who GETS kids, and has always let Max be a kid and help him through it?
It would help all three of them lean on outside help.
His appearance through Yakko and Max knowing each other, gives the Warners a positive adult figure in their lives who will be there to support them instead of criticize them for being "too much".
Yax isn't JUST about Yakko and Max, it's about the connections these kids make beyond the studio lot.
The connections that start with the eldest himself opening up. Start with Yakko overcoming that fear of rejection and letting people in.
It's about learning the world around them isn't just filled with people who want them locked up.
It's also about Max having someone who can match his energy. Max already has some friends who let him be himself and are wonderful people , but The Warners open up a different side of Max that can allow him to show that freer, mischievous side and have fun in that same way he had enjoyed in Goof Troop. He's allowed to revel in it, instead of worrying about stressing out his friends by getting them in on the antics.
The world is also filled with people who embrace their weirdness and energy, and who will guide them.
Even if you just like yax as friends, it's easy to see the potential and benefits
The Warners and the Goofs, to have lives grow richer.
And more, with them being from separate companies, their worldview would be able to grow to incorporate new ideas and thoughts.
The Warners aren't very open with their emotions, so a father son duo who have always been open and communicative would be able to show them the benefits of doing so themselves.
Plus, watching the Warner Siblings wreak havoc with a smile, hurting no innocents, would be exactly the type of thing to make Max smile in turn.
They deserve each other, deserve kindness and acceptance. ALL of these kids do. And every single one of them get that through Yax.
Plus, through Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Yakko and Max exist within the same universe. They're so close. It's not a stretch to see them interact and understand each other.
Now, there's a lot more to talk about. How it came to be, and how the shipping climate and the timing of the original shows allowed for this to line up to happen.
So look out for that in Part 2, featuring an interview with the person who started it all.

The Warners' Surprisingly Fitting Concerns
You know, I never gave it much thought (outside of this dumb joke) but each Warner's verse in "We Could Try to Do It, Santa" fits their personality pretty well and is about the thing they'd naturally be the most concerned about in that situation.
Yakko's Verse:
At first his verse is about how they can't deliver the presents without Santa's magic and how they'd have to upgrade Santa's sleigh so it can fly fast enough to travel the world in one night, but then it's revealed his true major concern is how that would result in the reindeer getting hurt:
"Prancer and the others might burn up if we're that fast"
"And a sonic boom would work its way through Dasher, Donner, Dancer,
Soon engulfing Cupid, Comet; Santa, this can't be the answer!
See the last thing that we'd wanna do is make the reindeer yelp!"
As a protective older sibling, naturally Yakko would assume Santa of all people would want to protect the reindeer given that they are under his care, like how Yakko tries to protect his sibs. I think the switch up in the verse's focus also reflects how although Yakko's snarky yet jovial nature means he's not quick to be emotionally open and often hides or undercuts his sincerity with snark or humour; he still clearly deeply cares for his sibs and that will eventually show.
Wakko's Verse:
Well Wakko's verse is unsurprisingly about food, but I also wanna point out how it easily has the most extreme consequences of the three, given that the whole of Earth shatters.
This reflects how Wakko tends to go to extremes the most out of the Warners. Need to do a gag about having eyes at the back your head? Wakko will have nine rather than just two. The Warners are bouncing on springs during an earthquake? Wakko's bouncing on a spring upside down, etc.
The little guy loves being extra.
Dot's Verse:
Dot suggests spying on people in her verse. Dot specifically would be the Warner to sing about this when you remember her whole schtick is acting cute and innocent, but being way tougher, craftier and more violent than she appears.
She more than anyone would know that there's often more to people than meets the eye, and hence would be the one to point out the need for wiretaps, logs of web searches, etc. until they had a "constant feed of every single child on Earth" if they wanted to know what the each child in the world was truly like.
#animaniacs#animaniacs 2020#animaniacs reboot#the warner siblings#yakko wakko and dot#yakko warner#wakko warner#dot warner#santamaniacs#christmas special#also since Yakko claims they can't do it without Santa's magic BUT we've seen the Warners pull off more impressive feats via toon force#does that mean Roger Rabbit's rule of “I can't do it if it's not funny” applies here? since in this case it would be too convenient?#because if so that only further supports the idea that Animaniacs and WFRR share a universe which I love honestly#this has become a tangent now but they are both about toon actors in the real world AND Bugs and Mickey exist as people in both properties#well Mickey is heavily implied to exist as a toon in Animaniacs at least (Daisy Duck and the Goof Troop kids are confirmed to)#also Dip just feels like something that would exist in the world of Animaniacs whenever it shows up in fics it doesn't feel out of place

Oh, Look! A cute little Dot just appeared on your screen! ( ˶ ❛ v ❛ ˶ ) She's just saying hi! Nothing wrong here... ^^
.
.
.
Hiya guys!!!! As you can see, one more Warner sib to the list!! ^^ I did Wakko a few days ago and will do Yakko pretty soon! (I think)
Anyways, I already covered some things about the warners in general on my Wakko post so this will just be some basic info about Dot >:3
And finally,
It's......
INFODUMP TIME!!!!!
1- Dot Warner's ACTUAL name is Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca Warner III.
2- She's the youngest in the family, being 9/10 years old.
3- For some reason, in the reboot, the animators decided that the flower she has on her head would only have 4 petals instead of 5
4- She has what is probably the best freaking self-esteem between the sibs, and if she doesn't get what she wants through her cuteness, she WILL hurt people.
5- Hates being called Dottie. Seriously, do NOT call her that unless you want to die.
6- One of her big personality traits, specially in the reboot, is her being a feminist. She's always an absolute girlboss and I love that for her.
7- Besides being the youngest, she oftenly calls people "Kids" and also treats Wakko as a little brother.
8- We all know the Warner Bros logo, right? The written part is supposed to represent Wakko and Yakko and the dot at the end is, well, Dot.
9- Fans usually associate her with a cat.
Well, guess that's it! Or at least it is til I remember or find more things to put here. Once again, since this is Animaniacs we're talking 'bout, I need a proper way to say bye, and that is...
GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!!!!!

As a fellow yaxxer, I’m curious. Do you have any headcanons on the blending of the Warner and Goof families? How Yakko warmed up to Goofy (and by extension the rest of the Disney gang, cause let’s be real those guys are Max’s family too), and how Max warmed up to Wakko and Dot?
This ask has "only" been in my inbox for around 6 months instead of a year like the others. Still, I'm sorry for taking so long to get to it.
Seeing this ask for the first time was what made me start officially considering myself a yaxxer! I certainly have some thoughts, many spurred on by my great friend and Yax master @cringetownusa.
I think Yakko and Goofy would warm up to each other very quickly. Goofy would become a father figure to Yakko. He would support Yakko's interests and accept his personality for what it is, instead of rejecting him like so many others. Yakko would rib him but respect his goofiness, his disarming genuineness, and how much of a family man he is. I can actually see Yakko being more genuine with Goofy than even Max. Goofy thinks that Yakko is a nice young man- Max can even get confused at just how calm and respectful Yakko is with his dad.
The rest of the Disney gang is certainly a different story. Yakko and his sibs have a distaste for Disney. Max and his dad get a pass, but the rest would take some getting used to for Yakko. He would probably pick on Mickey and the others until he realizes that they're not evil or sappy killjoys or anything. Even then, their relationship might not be the warmest. It would be filled with wacky hijinks. Mostly playful, but toeing the line.
Max getting along with and genuinely liking Wakko and Dot would be a prerequisite for Yakko to even consider a relationship with him. Wakko and Dot may have been suspicious of him at first, teaming up to take him on with protective toony antics. But after Max didn't turn on them and treat them badly like everyone else, they would quickly warm up to him. Like Goofy to Yakko, he would become a sort of father figure for them.
Max would love their goofiness and their mischievous personalities. Max and the Warners would be a very tight knit group, Max would almost become a fourth Warner. He'd hang around the water tower all the time, play with Wakko and Dot, engage in their interests. He'd take them out to do things like shopping for food (Wakko) and clothes (Dot). He'd be the only one besides Yakko who is willing to do things like that with them. Yakko would be happy to have a little pressure taken off, too.
So yes, I think Max would love the little sibs from the beginning. It's part of what attracted him to Yakko at all- seeing his softer side with his family. Their families would pretty seamlessly integrate. Goofy loves being a father figure and the Warners need one. Wakko and Dot would love having another playmate, someone outside their family. Max would be happy to oblige them. It'd be a super close family unit, because it would have to be for Yakko and Max's relationship to work.

FINALS: Max Goof (Disney)/Yakko Warner (Animaniacs) VS Huey Duck (Ducktales 2017)/Wakko Warner (Animaniacs)
Propaganda for Max Goof/Yakko Warner:
I just like them. I think its cute. Romeo and juliet vibes because theyre from different studios, Disney vs warner brothers. They're both funny, dorky guys, and they bring out the best in each other. Plus only child vs overworked older child turned parent is a really good dynamic too.
YAX SWEEP
#YAX SWEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!
#yakko x max opened my third eye #this needs to be a thing
Cameo of Max's VA expressing approval of the ship~!
#YAX SWEEP #LETS GOOO
#yax propagandists ASSEMBLE
#yax sweep #they deserve it
Ok I keep forgetting to submit my own Yax propoganga but I have put so much thought into them.
They have the same sense of humor, we literally see them tell almost identical jokes. They’re both such dramatic showoffs and they both are schemers, they're both the brains of their group (friends v family)
They’re complimentary.
They’re foils.
Beause Yakko isn’t as open with his emotions, he’s more sarcasti. But Max has been truthful about what he feels since Goof Troop. It's there on the surface and he communicates and understands in ways that would be SO good for Yakko. They're two sides of the same coin. They are opposites but they support each others weaknesses. Yakko wants so badly to make people laugh, and it’s so important to him to do so. His self worth is connected to it, but Max doesn’t like his laugh and suppresses it. It practically writes itself. So yeah, there’s all the fun WB/Disney forbidden lovers, but it works off a dynamic that would already work really well. That's why I like them so much
YAX!!!! COME ON GUYS!!!!!! What is love if not filling the other person in smiles and laughter? What is love if not being the best of friends first, the perfect duo. Partners in crime that egg each other on!!! Yakko and Max deserve a kind ending, vite yax!!!!!!! Also, through Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Yakko and Max exist within the same universe. They're so close. It's not a stretch to see them interact and understand each other. They deserve this!!!!!!!!!!!
YAX SWEEP! COME ON LETS GO
#we need the brother battle! #animaniacs #yax
Go vote for Yax I am begging yall. Two snarky teenage boys who care so much about what other people think about them, finding acceptance and joy in their shared humor, and new family in the people their companies warned them about?
Like, from Dot and Wakko's side, moving away from Yakko and his boyfriend for a moment.
Dot and Wakko need someone to be friends with outside of themselves. They need familiarity and kindness.
Who better to open the Warner's to a kinder life, than a toon from a company all about the power of familial and romantic love? The themes that surround Max and Goofy, as well as many other Disney's, are exactly the kind of thing that those kids need the most.
Yakko being happy is a the first part, but having the Warners brought into the family by Goofy Goof, the man with so much understanding and love to give, who GETS kids, and has always let Max be a kid and help him through it, his appearance through Yakko amd Max knowing each other gives the Warners a positive adult figure in their lives who will be there to support them instead of criticize them for being "too much".
Yax isn't JUST about Yakko and Max, it's about the connections these kids make that starts with the eldest opening himself up. It's about learning the world around them isn't just filled with people who want them locked up.
The world is also filled with people who embrace their weirdness and energy, and who will guide them. Even if you just like yax as friends, you have to see the potential there is for all of them
The Warners and the Goofs, to have lives grow richer.
And more, with them being from seperate companies, their worldview would be able to grow to incorporate new ideas and thoughts. The Warners aren't very open with their emotions, so a father son duo who have always been open and communicative would be able to show them the benefits of doing so themselves.
Plus, watching the Warner Siblings wreak havoc with a smile, hurting no innocents, would be exactly the type of thing to make Max smile.
He could help do smaller damage control if need be as well, he's been accounting for his and his Dad's Goof Luck since he was born, and for the fallout of his own insane schemes. Adding in the brilliant and mischievous mind of Max Goof to the minds of our puppy children trio is golden.
They deserve each other, deserve kindness and acceptance. ALL of these kids do. And every single one of them get that through Yax.
#they mean everything to me #and if they make it to the finals i will cry literal tears #GO VOTE FOR YAX ‼️‼️
#YAX SWEEP LETS GOOO
#COME ON YAXXERS!!! #VOTE FOR YAX!!!
#GO VOTE FOR YAX ‼️‼️ #LET'S GOOO #YAX SWEEEEEEPPP
votee for the yaaaaxxxx
#CMON GUYS VOTE YAX #YAX SWEEP
#yax nation needs to win #go vote!
Propaganda for Huey Duck/Wakko Warner:
Huey and Wakko are classic opposite attrack characters, while also touches of "you're drawn to people who remind you of your family" thrown in. They're both very autistic coded characters (because their shows are cowards and refuse to say the word) but in opposite ways. Wakko is very outside of the norm where as Huey holds himself to a strict set of rules. While Huey adds a bit of routine to Wakko's life, Wakko encourages Huey to cut back, go outside of his comfort zone at his own pace and also relax a little. Wakko reminds Huey of both his siblings, excitable and dramatic like Dewey, and laid back (compared to his siblings) and mischevious like Louie, where as Huey reminds Wakko of his own siblings. A bit more uptight and bratty like Dot, and intelligent and encouraging like Yakko. They also bring out different sides of each other, Wakko can be gross and messy and Huey somehow finds it charming, and Huey can help Wakko see that he's intelligent and creative in his own ways rather than being outshined by his own siblings. They both also have anger issues, and Wakko would be great at helping Huey to feel his anger rather than always keeping it hidden away. He makes Huey feel seen and heard and taken care of because Huey doesn't have to be the Older BrotherTM around Wakko. Basically just opposites attract autistic kids who help each other come into one another.
#yall need to vote for my baby angels #wakko/huey sweep #please #they deserve it #their shows treated them awfully

Please vote for Wakko/Huey! They need each other to help balance each other out and to grow as people! They are so cute together.
(Also want to see a brother vs brother to figure out who has the most heartwarming relationship, but that's secondary to this)

BONDING :
Yakko : Juno and Yakko have an unbreakable bond. Yakko is always the one reading/singing to them before bedtime. He's kind of a doting and overprotective dad, but he is the most down on earth dad and is usually the one being strict when he needs to be, on last resort. He is also the one establishing the rules and making sure the routine stays organised. He is very serious about respectong bedtime, showertime and so on. He and Juno can have never ending unsignificant convos that start at 7pm and by 11pm the convo somehow evolved into a talk about outerpace and its misteries. Yakko loves Juno's childlish innocence and every single second when he's reminded they're growing up makes him nostalgic and panicky. On the rare occasions where Juno would show a bit of anxiety, Yakko would enter a spiral about how he passed his anxiety to the kid and how it's his fault. He loves to teach his kid about everything he's passionate about, and did try to teach him piano.
Max : While Yakko is the dad who establishes the rules and the teacher dad, Max is more of the fun/chill dad that does stupid things with his child and then both get scolded by Yakko (only when it involves them unvoluntarily getting hurt in the process. Otherwise Yakko also cheers for the trouble making). Max is the one giving the nicest cuddles at any moment of the day, but also the one who will randomly yeet Juno in the pool. Like Yakko does with Juno, Max and them have an unbreakable bond. However on the rare occasions where Juno shows insecurity about their teeth, Max gets sad. One becaucause it is his own feature as well, and two because he gets scared that Juno would grow up to be like him as a teen and growing distant from his dad. Max is the one hyping Juno up for ANYTHING. He's the cool dad that allows the rules to be broken once in a while. He did try to get Juno into his sports like basket ball, skateboarding and such, but eventually accepted that Juno was skilled in none of them, and skilled in much different sports instead. But he is always here at any dance/gym competition, cheering the loudest with a sign.
~♡°•○●☆°•○●♡°•○●☆°•○●♡°•○●☆°•○●♡°•○●☆~
BONUS : the nicknames
- Max calls Juno pumpkin, little bean, peanut, little dude, little man, little menace
- Yakko calls Juno honey, lovebug, sweetie pie, cutie pie, baby, THE CHEESIEST NICKNAMES EVER

Huge Announcement!! (I'm Taking Animaniacs/Pinky and The Brain Fic Requests!) (Please Read for Information!)
Hello to all my Animaniacs friends and Pinky and The Brain acquaintances!!! After much consideration and a 5-month-long hiatus from fanfiction writing, I've decided that it's time to get back on it! I have multiple Pinky and The Brain fanfics being planned out right now, but while I compose more things for you (including the next chapter of "When He Loved Me" which is back by popular demand), I want to announce something to all of you that I hope will go over well.
With the Animaniacs reboot concluding earlier this year, and the fandom slowly winding its way down the obscurity route, I wanted to do something to keep the fandom chugging. I've actually wanted to do this for a few months, but now seems like a great time to start this little idea. So I've decided:
I'm Going To Start Taking Requests for Fanfics Here On Tumblr!!!
That's right!!! You guys will have the opportunity to submit fanfic ideas/prompts to me that you've always wanted to see in the community. I'm going to be making a second blog, where I will be accepting requests for fanfics and will be posting them onto Tumblr directly. I will also make these prompts available on AO3 in a compilation fic where I will also be mentioning the ask in the notes. I want to mainly focus on Brinky, Yax, and of course, the Warner Siblings and their dynamic. The blog will (maybe) be titled NarftasticFicRequests (TBD as official name) and I will be accepting both Pinky and The Brain, and Animaniacs writing ideas. I think that this is a great prompt to encourage me to write and to keep these fandom spaces alive and well. I don't have the intro ready yet for the new blog, heck I haven't made the new blog yet, but wait to see it pop up in the next few weeks. However, while the introduction hasn't been made, I am going to set down a few ground rules/boundaries here right now:
There will be absolutely NO 18+ content allowed. There are a ton of fics out there with mature labels that you can find; you don't have to look hard. I do not feel comfortable writing that stuff yet. Don't ask for smut of any kind because you will not get it, I guarantee that. The farthest I'm willing to go is deep kissing (i.e. tongue) but I'm only willing to do that for Pinky and Brain exclusively, since it doesn't seem to bother the fandom that much. I WILL NOT do that stuff for Yakko and Max because it doesn't sit well with me since they are so young. If deeper, more aggressive kissing is involved in Brinky fics, the tag: mildly spicy mice, will be used to indicate this. It won't be in every fic, I promise. :)
2. NO WARNERCEST REQESTS!!! That will get you promptly banned off of both my blogs for the foreseeable future. I HATE THIS SHIP SO MUCH THAT IT HURTS. This also ties into the no 18+ content label mentioned earlier. Do not ask for this.
3. Fic requests may take up to a week or more to complete. It will depend on the ask itself and the story ideas I compile together. I'm very busy with other life things and stresses that it will be difficult to find the time to work on these. I will optimize weekends for fic writing to my best ability, but I will let you guys know if I'm taking a break. When I'm taking a short break, the ask box will be closed temporarily, but it will be re-opened.
4. Other ships such as Billie x Julia, Wakko x Louie Duck, and Dark Pinky x Future Brain will be accepted if you request them. If these take longer to make, it's going to be because I haven't written for these ideas before and I will need time to make sure everything is done decently. I'm also accepting AU ideas such as gender-swaps (I have a really good idea if y'all want to see a gender-swapped Pinky and Brain) . However, parody ideas will be extremely risky to request since if I haven't seen the material, I can't make the parody and if I have seen it, I might make a whole fic based on it rather than just a simple one-shot.
5. If your request takes longer to complete, it's likely because I am working on a fic for AO3, most likely my Christmas/Winter fics, or a tedious multi-chapter. Don't think I've abandoned your request; I will get to you ASAP after I'm done with whatever project I'm on.
6. Certain things that are banned from the askbox: mean comments, smut requests, Warnercest, non-Animaniacs/PaTB requests, harassment of other individuals. Certain ships, such as Warnercest and Brain x Julia will not be allowed either due to personal and emotionally scarring reasons.
7. Last thing: Enjoy it!!! Make requests that are angsty, silly, fluffy, sad, or happy! Think about what you've always wanted to see in a fanfic, or an idea that you would enjoy seeing my take on. Just make sure to follow my rules and boundaries so we can all enjoy this as a fandom.
I'm really excited to get this started!!! It will take a while to put everything together. Stay tuned for an announcement that the blog is up and that you can start submitting requests. Look out for the new blog as well, and the intro post that'll contain the official rules and a little more about the blog. Once again, I'm extremely ecstatic to start taking your requests, and I might even post non-requests on the blog as well. I know this might seem a little late since the reboot is over, but I sincerely pray that this new blog can continue to keep the Animaniacs/PaTB fandom alive, at least for a little while longer. I hope that you guys get some ideas for requests while this new second blog takes shape. Hoping it'll be up by the end of next week. Fingers-crossed that this ideas doesn't blow up in my face!!! See y'all soon!!!! Narf!!!
-theonethatyaks93
#animaniacs#pinky and the brain#animaniacs fanfiction#get those requests ready!!!#more updates to come soon as I get the blog ready#please do not request fics on my main blog wait until I get my second blog out#that being said get ur requests ready!!! im excited to be contributing more to the fandom space#hope everyone enjoys this idea!!!

I've always been a little extra English, but not really, despite being American. I grew up watching UK based YouTubers and picked up their accents. I also grew up with my mom pointing out to me that British singers often "lose their accent" when singing.
Even though I now know that that's just how singers are taught to enunciate when they sing and that they're not actually "losing" their accents, I recently thought it would be fun to sing exclusively in a British accent despite being American. I became curious to see if any other American singers did that.
Then I accidentally stumbled upon the only band that seems to have done it: The Killers. I watched a YouTube short a year ago of the Michigan college football team singing Mr. Brightside together and have had the seed planted in my head that I should listen to it ever since. I know, I know. How can I have never heard of Mr. Brightside? I grew up mostly listening to one country music station. It's my grandfather's favorite station and so we never change it.
I'm very slow to warmup to new music, or new anything, but my obsession at the time was starting to fade out, so I gave Mr. Brightside a chance. I needed to find new music in my range to sing when I do vocal warmups each night, as I want the habit to stick.
Upon my first listen I was instantly hooked. From Dave's guitar riff in my left ear to the "I never"s at the end, it was like I'd entered another world. It felt like I was floating, like it wasn't real. I still feel that way when I listen to it. The music video intrigued me. The comments even more so. It seemed that I had found my British band from America that I was after.
And Mr. Brightside sat comfortably in my range! In fact most of their songs fit comfortably in my mezzo range. I lost lots of my low notes trying to do Yakko and Wakko Warner impressions when I was young, so now it's really hard to find songs with low notes that don't hurt to sing.
Of course I had to hear some more. When You Were Young, Human and Smile Like You Mean It. At the time Smile Like You Mean It stuck with me the most because I have always had an unhealthy relationship with nostalgia since I was young.
From there I decided to listen to all of their stuff. I was a little stuck on Hot Fuss for a while because I was disappointed that they dropped their UK influences after Soft Surrender/Where Is She, but now I love all of their music. My favorite song is actually their underrated single off of Day & Age: The World We Live In. I guess I'm a victim for life now! And if I ever start a band of my own, you know I'm gonna be singing in a British accent.
#the killers#mr brightside#the world we live in#new obsession alert#lol#if you know of any other american bands or singers with a british sound please let me know#im still yearning for more hot fuss like music#your side of town is the closest they've gotten and i'll take what i can get#their newer stuff has grown on me though

I'm bored...I'm gonna analyse a GIF.
This year marks Ed, Edd n Eddy's 25th anniversary. I may not talk about it much on this blog, but it's one of my all time favourite cartoons. I'd watch it constantly during my childhood and to this day "Big Picture Show" is my favourite series finale. So, given how much I enjoy the show, I was happy to see more tweets about it than usual on my Twitter (yes I'm still calling it that) timeline because of the anniversary.
The influx of tweets (yes I'm still calling them that) about the show led me to this tweet. There's a very good analysis of the moment here on Tumblr, but here's a screenshot from a reply under the tweet of what the user said.
It made me think of other similar moments of character acting in animation, and of course I started thinking of examples from Animaniacs.
There's many to be found across the original show and the reboot, but one example I really like is this moment here:
For context, all three Warners are making similar jokes about the size of a hunter's feet.
It's not the dialogue I wanna talk about, this moment is brief and ultimately not that important, but I just love how the Warners are animated here. It tells you a lot about them based only on the character acting and body language:
Yakko
Yakko is the first to come onscreen to make a comment, indicating that he's the leader. He calmy walks into frame holding one hand out conversationally, before standing with both arms behind his back. Compared to the other two's stances, this makes him look more reserved and professional. This not only indicates that he's older, but also suggests he's cool-headed and not as reliant on physical action as his sibs, hence why his arms are behind his back; he only really needs his voice. He gives a smug grin, so even without hearing what he's saying you know he's being snarky right now, which contrasts with his body language, showing he's purposefully maintaining a deceptively non-aggressive demeanour and is likely a smart aleck in general.
Wakko
Wakko is the only one who doesn't come in from the side, instead he enters frame from below, indicating that he's the most unconventional of the three. He flails his arms around rather than keeping them in one place like Yakko, which not only suggests that he's more wild and energetic, but (as I said earlier) is more reliant on physical action than Yakko. Wakko does a sort of "don't worry about it" motion with his left arm with a simple smile on his face, a smile that lacks any smugness. This suggests that he's a little friendlier in comparison. He sticks out his tongue like a dog and eventually settles on T-rex arms, indicating that he's more animalistic than his sibs.
Dot
Dot quickly hops into frame from the side, almost like a pounce, with a determined and somewhat aggressive facial expression, showing energy and spunk. She punches the air, which only emphasizes her feistiness. Her movements suggest she's more prone to being outwardly aggressive than her brothers. Her expression softens to more of a cute smile, showing that she's not all aggression and is quite cute and jovial too. She settles with her hands on her hips, a typical pose used to show that a character is sassy and/or confident, hence indicating that Dot is too.
Basically I just think the way animation can be used to establish characters without us having to hear a word out of them is really cool.

Thank you for responding to my ZORT! Now for my next question:
What is your all-time favorite Brinky moment? =D
Well Anonymous, you asked this perfectly easy to answer, reasonable question that I should have answered a long time ago. So, of course, I had to turn it into something needlessly long that I had to rack my brain and wring my hands over and aaaah anyway. Not your fault, but here since NOBODY asked for it, is:
MY TOP TEN BRINKY MOMENTS (OF THE 1990S): HONORABLE MENTIONS - #4
(PART II IS HERE. I might do one for the reboot soon, too, if I have time ;_;)
HONORABLE MENTIONS. NARF:
“Where Rodents Dare” – Brain looks sad about Pinky.
“Where Rodents Dare” was only the second Pinky and the Brain short ever and only the ninth episode of the original Animaniacs. It aired on September 23, 1993, the second week of the og show’s very first run. It was also the very first time I remember seeing mention of Pinky x Brain online.
It’s an incredibly short moment and seems like an extremely minor little bit. After Brain tries to communicate with Pinky via walky-talky, he gets no answer. His ears start to droop and his face falls. It’s really the first clear indication that Brain cares about Pinky and that they have a relationship beyond "angry guy and bumbling sidekick."
With two characters of this archetype, it’d be easy to imagine Brain acting comically happy at the thought of an annoying lackey’s demise and then only regretting the situation when he realizes he needs “dumb muscle” to help him complete the plan. Instead, this little moment seems totally sincere. Brain is elated when he hears Pinky’s voice and realizes that he’s thankfully okay! But Brain quickly hides his emotion when Pinky comes back into frame.
It’s an extremely early appearance of Brain’s tsundere soft side. Pinky’s love for Brain was screamingly obvious from the very beginning, but clear hints from Brain actually start appearing sooner than I used to remember.
“Just Say Narf” – Pinky Sings It! (+Bench Flirting)
Pinky: The friend that everyone wishes they had, but nobody deserves, maybe? Where would Brain be without Pinky’s cheerfulness and support?
….
Let’s not think about that, shall we?
(Also. Bench flirting.)
“Every Single Freaking Time Brain Praises Pinky” – Not Enough Episodes. NOT. ENOUGH!
“Pinky, that was perfect!” “Pinky, that’s brilliant!” “Pinky, you’re a GENIUS!” YES. YES, BRAIN. WE LOVE TO HEAR IT.
Now let’s hear it some more. MORE! 87 Billion more times! 100 years of Pinky and the Brain – Brain praising Pinky! Saying nice things!
“Hoop Dreams” – Chumsicles
“No, Pinky. Those are a delicious treat to be shared only by you and me.” What’s not to love about this little moment, which involves…the fact that Pinky and Brain like to eat fish heads on popsicle sticks together, I guess? Uuh. I know that might not sound very romantic, but actually, it really is! Brain actually makes it sound really intimate, and it’s all just so weird.
...that's a good thing.
“That One Where I Always Forget Which Skit This Is From” – “Bagels with no cream cheese?!?”
Look so sue me, I constantly forget what this is actually from, okay? But I love this little “old marrieds,” domestic type kind of moment between them in general. Pinky lets Brain know that he’s forgotten to calculate the cost of cream cheese in with their onion bagels. Brain realizes Pinky’s Omnipotent Omniscient Rightness and hastily and rightfully makes a correction. If not, Jobu Tupaki would have smote them right then and there. True story!
PUT THE CREAM CHEESE ON THE EVERYTHING BAGEL OF DEATH, PINKY.
“Brain Storm” – Brain Fixes the Scarecrow
Pretty simple, Brain takes time out of schemin’ hours to re-assemble a broken scarecrow that Pinky’s grown fond of. This is also funny foreshadowing for a Wizard of Oz gag later, I think. Mostly, it just shows that Brain values Pinky’s feelings, and will go out of his way to make Pinky feel better even if he himself thinks that Pinky is just being silly. Pinky’s feelings matter a lot to Brain.
“Wakko’s Wish” – Our Happy Ending
With the 2020 Animaniacs reboot about to end, it’s worth looking back at this – and I might write a longer post about it. For now, very briefly: Wakko’s Wish was kind of the closest thing to “endings” for the Animaniacs’ stories that we got, although I generally agree that Hooray for North Hollywood is better for the Warners themselves. And I know this is an “AU,” but, look – A! continuity is a mess, it’s “AUs” all over.
I do love a lot of the other endings (except for the Mime’s! Justice for the Mime!). It’s especially satisfying to see Buttons finally get rewarded and appreciated, and Rita and Runt finally find a home! But I actually generally like PatB’s ending, too. Yes, Pharfignewton plays far too big of a role but I, like, love her, okay and Pinky’s wish should have been about Brain, instead, definitely. Still, this ending sees them together, happy, and with a cool pet horse! Brain’s fate, having a bit of his dream (a position of some authority) but doomed to work with the Warners, is kind of fitting, in a strange way. The Warners are excellent at knocking people down a few pegs and keeping them in line if needs be, but they also have meta awareness that trying to take over the world is just Pinky and Brain’s skit’s schtick, so they’d probably just find it amusing and humor them a bit.
More importantly, it’s really cute that the very first thing that Brain does with his new authority is to make Pinky’s dream come true! Pinky also encourages Brain and Phar to get along here. After a little speed bump where she briefly eats him by accident, it seems like it might have worked. It’s a positive and peaceful little note to end the 90s franchise story forgetting that other thing, for the moment on.
SPECIAL CATEGORIES: From…That Other Thing – “Pinky’s Dream House” and “Yule Be Sorry”
Now, my thoughts on that other thing…you know, the THING are a whole…like a whole THING. So, I won’t get into it right now. Confession I'm going to cross out, and had to do a lot of old memory-searching to rediscover: I was a fan of Elmyra Duff at one point in Tiny Toon Adventure's early days, okay? But this isn't the place to get started. But I’m putting these two here in a nice convenient little box for now because I am freaking lazy and I don’t want to get into the pros and cons and TTA and so on, but they’re (the moments) both just AAAAAHHHH so darned fantastic so. YOU KNOW.
"Pinky’s Dream House" is such a sweet episode. Who wouldn’t love Pinky singing a riff on “Somewhere That’s Green” from Little Shop of Horrors, sadly minus an awesome singing man-eating plant (but nothing’s perfect)? It’s a touching look into Pinky’s dreams instead of Brain’s. Also, while I was making this list, I had the weird realization: Brain is seriously tempted to separate from Pinky not by world domination, but by the promise of a “normal” life. In “This Old Mouse” and “The Third Mouse,” he seems to be under the mistaken impression that getting a normal life also means leaving Pinky behind, but without Pinky, winds up unhappy. Here, he seems to have his cake in a frilly apron using a feather duster and eat it (*tee-heeheehee* :3), too, and for a little while, they both seem very happy.
In “Yule Be Sorry,” Brain telling Pinky that taking over the world would be pointless and worthless if Brain lost Pinky’s friendship is something we’ve known for a long, long time. Still, it’s one of the closest things (maybe the closest?) that we get to Brain confessing his true feelings to Pinky. It’s utterly heartwarming. A shame about…the episode itself.
From the Comics – “It’s A Wonderful Narf”
I do really love the PatB comics, which I bought fresh off the rack as they came out! Still, as much as Sassy Comics Pinky owns every bit of my heart and three-fourths of my spleen, and the ever more obviously gay Brinky subtext owns I dunno Maine and Idaho, the characterization can be a bit spotty and hit-or-miss for me.
One of its Christmas stories, “It’s a Wonderful Narf,” winds up surprisingly touching, though! Especially since it opens with Brain being such a massive jerk to Pinky that Pinky contemplates jumping off a bridge. Urgh. What follows is the usual “It’s a Wonderful Life” scenario where Pinky sees how much colder and bleaker a world without him would actually be, especially for Brain.
The reveal at the end, which is that Brain has staged the whole thing just to show Pinky how much he means to him, is actually pretty darn great. Yes, it’s cartoony zany that he could pull it off, and you just have to roll with the Looney-Tunes-ness. But in a way, it’s more precious than if it had been magic. Brain knows how much Pinky means to him, and goes to great lengths here to show Pinky that.
Of course, he STILL NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE, but…
And now the list proper and YES I CHEATED by grouping some moments together. :P Well...it's not against tumblr's ToS. Yet.
#10: “The Family That Poits Together, Narfs Together” – Chase Me! Chase Me!
I don’t really have to go too deep to explain why this one is so cute! In an episode about what “family” really means, Pinky initiates the same game his mother and father have been playing with each other throughout the entire episode (“Chase Me”) with Brain by playfully stealing his pencil. It’s a really nice, understated way of showing that the two mice are already a family.
Pinky also says something along the lines of, “I don’t think a family needs to be perfect to be wonderful!” And if there’s a more imperfect pair, well, then.
#9. “Megalomaniacs Anonymous” – Pinky and the Brain Go To Therapy And Talk About Their Feelings And Better Themselves as “People” and Work Out the Issues With Their Relationship
Okay I actually seriously really love this episode; I don’t mean to be quite so snarky. I just wanted to say well. For people who want this. Yeah, it can happen. It did. Why didn’t it take? Status Quo is God, welcome to the “1990s Zany Syndicated Cartoon Shorts” spot on the Sliding Scale of Continuity. The planet could explode or…I don’t know, be replaced by a Chia Earth, or they could hmmm…have both of their brains fried by a machine, and next skit, BAM, back at the start. Sorry, guys. In some magical place where syndicated, non-arc-series characters are allowed to have actual character development, their sessions, and self-improvement, continue.
#8: “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Snowball” – Saving The Day…Eventually (For You)
I grouped these two together because they have a few similar elements that I love:
Brain falls into the pits of bleakest despair that mean he’s at the Act II Low-Point three act structure blah blah blah. He’s spurred out of it, of course, by his love for Pinky. And what could pluck the heartstrings harder than a megalomaniac lab mouse rushing heedlessly into danger to save his One True Love trusty sidekick and best friend in the whole, wide world?
In some odd way, the mice actually come together as a team to save the day! It’s kind of rare to see them working together (even if it is in unusual ways) to bring out the best in each other and triumph, but it’s here in different ways. In “Snowball,” Brain supplies the mechanical suit and starts the mouse vs. hamster showdown, but it’s actually Pinky who takes Snowball down in a moment of true Pinky brilliance – one of my favorite things! In “Welcome to the Jungle,” Brain only manages to become MacGuyver and kick Snowball’s fuzzy behind because Pinky went full MacGuyver first – he led the way and inspired Brain.
#7: “Broadway Malady” and “This Old Mouse” – Happier Without You?
I think people have often noticed “Broadway Malady,” where Pinky seems to be doing pretty well without Brain, but is actually miserable. What gets mentioned less often, in my experience, are “This Old Mouse” and “The Third Mouse,” where Brain seems to be doing pretty well without Pinky (in the sense of making connections with people and supposedly being “happy now"), but is actually miserable.
Both of their reactions reveal a lot of each mouse’s character, and are typical, really: Pinky knows that he’s unhappy (to the point that he sings an entire musical number about it, and to all of Broadway!), and he knows it’s because he misses Brain. Brain, meanwhile, is in denial that he’s unhappy (“I’m happy, do you hear me?! HAPPY!!” Yeeeeahhhffffft reeeeaaal convincing there, Brain), and even if he is (which he isn’t!), it’s only because he misses trying to take over the world. Right?
It's interesting to see what actually drives a wedge between the two mice. In both of these episodes and “The Third Mouse,” Brain is the one who leaves, and it’s usually for something “humble” – having a “normal” job, finding love and settling down, making pretentious obnoxious art according to his own personal vision that nobody else likes (okay, that seems less humble, but compared to being world conqueror?), etc. Pinky, meanwhile, might self-sacrifice for Brain like in the Halloween episode, or stand up for his morals, but only seems driven to actually leave in “Snowball” when Snowball tricks him into believing that Brain never actually cared about him. Which Brain probably doesn’t help with, by…you know…constantly claiming that he doesn’t actually care about Pinky. Brain, you…fuzzy, fuzzy butt, you.
Both of these episodes show how devastated each mouse can get when they’re apart. Brain sneaks into Pinky’s performances mourning their lost friendship to weep silently in hiding as he gazes on; Pinky finds a yam that kinda sorta looks like Brain if you squint at it funny in the right light and becomes instantly obsessively attached. Oh, the angst! Angst! the Musical, even. The end of “Broadway Malady” shows the great lengths that Pinky will go to yet again, but “This Old Mouse” does even more so, as Pinky goes full action hero and defies both fate and the odds to save Brain’s life.
It's pretty notable that in “The Old Mouse,” all Pinky can think about is saving Brain’s life, and all Brain can think about is Pinky forgetting about him and getting himself (Pinky) to safety. There’s really nothing these two mice won’t sacrifice for each other, and for good or ill, they each value the other one more than themselves: here, in danger, the other mouse’s life and safety are the only thing on each rodent’s mind.
#6: “Operation Sea Lion” – In a Disney Film!
It strikes me as really weird, to be honest, that I put this one this high. What the heck, me? Why?
I guess it’s like this. This is just a really genuinely sincere and sweet episode for both mice. Brain is an unusually really great friend here, trying to help out with Winny despite thinking it’s doomed between her and Pinky – like in “Brain Storm,” what’s important to Brain is that it matters to PINKY. Pinky even rubs Pinky’s back to comfort him and HOLDS HIS HAND <3 <3 <3 :3
As for Pinky, it might seem strange to put an episode about Pinky “pursuing someone else” on a Brinky Moments list. But despite one line here that I really hate about Pinky not knowing where babies come from (way too childish, characterization-wise, for my taste), it actually shows Pinky taking some nice steps. Some of Pinky’s other “pursuits of animals (or socks)” just show Pinky assuming that this or that animal or creature is his “girlfriend,” without obviously being able to communicate with them. I thought it was really sweet that Pinky was actually trying to learn to talk to Winny here, and to hear about her thoughts and feelings. It showed, at least by zany cartoon standards, a bit more of a mature approach to romance, and is nice for me to think about in a Brinky mindset – Brain’s got to be even harder to talk to than an animal from a different species after all. Pinky's got his work cut out for him, and this is great practice!
#5: “Brain’s Night Off” – First-Date Jitters
Okay, granted part of this is just because I’m losing steam here, but I think some of these speak for themselves. “Pinky and Brain’s Date Night” is adorable – albeit awkward. And I don’t even care one whit what the writers meant it as; I see first-date jitters there, and nothing else. Brain’s corny "snoring barnacle" joke seems like the kind of thing Pinky would usually laugh at, because Pinky laughs at almost everything, and unlike Brain’s unhinged rant outta nowhere in “Das Mouse” about turning into a hawk and eating baby mice alive and seriously what the ever living whatever was that Brain?!?!? ANYWAY. This joke was harmless.
But put the mice in what looks pretty much EXACTLY like a romantic date for all the world to see, and the butterflies come home to roost. In the end, once they get more comfortable, Pinky and Brain prove that even a roll-around in a mashed-potato castle can be the height or romance…provided you do it with the right person. Er, mouse.
#4: “That Smarts” – The Gift of the Magi: Pinky and the Brain Edition
Okay, so the story The Gift of the Magi always used to make me angry as a kid, and you know what? It still does!
But I get it, okay? The real gift is LOVE. Yadda, yadda, yadda. I get it.
In this case, instead of being out a head of hair and a watch (note: the guy got the worse deal out of that; hair grows back), we have two brain-fried mice sitting in a cage, with absolutely no clue in the world what they’re going to do tomorrow night. Invest in Tesla stock, maybe?
This is another one I want to make its own post for, because it somehow sums up for me a big reason that I ship this! It’s constantly the characters doing what one WOULDN’T expect these archetypes to do!
Brain thinks Pinky is the reason all their plans fail? Well, he’ll just get rid of Pinky, right? After all, Brain only keeps Pinky around because he’s using him to take over the world! Well, no, Brain never considers that; Brain “keeps Pinky around” because Pinky is his best friend and he loves him, even if he thinks (wrongly) that Pinky’s just a hindrance on the world conquest front.
Pinky’s been made smart? Well, clearly, he’s going to turn into a huge jerk and reveal that his friendship with Brain was never real, right? After all, he only seemed nice because he was too darned dumb to know any better and he was also too dumb to form real relationships, he just seemed cluelessly friendly to everything because of his sheer stupidity! Well, no. Pinky’s the exact same Pinky he’s always been, he just knows a bunch of new math stuff now. And Brain’s friendship is more important to him then being good at taking over the world.
Another thing to throw in here is Brain sacrificing his own intelligence instead of asking Pinky to give up his, as short-sighted as that turns out to be. He doesn’t even seem to consider it. Brain chooses to give up what makes him "special" and let Pinky take the lead rather than asking Pinky to give that away now.
There’s more I want to say, but TL;DR: It’s not a show about taking over the world. It’s about two friends who care about each other.
It’s a love story.
Okay, I’m actually going to take a break here and put the Top Three in another post, really just because I’m tired. Hope to see you then!
EDIT: Part II is now over here!

Would you describe the Warners' relationship as an enmeshed relationship/an example of enmeshment? I assume you're not a psychologist (or maybe you are, in which case sorry for the false assumption 😅) but I love your analyses of the Warners and am interested in hearing your thoughts.
If I was a psychologist, I likely wouldn't have had to look up what enmeshment is! I won't dig too deeply into it because this is an issue that affects real people and I am obviously not educated on it.
From my surface level understanding, enmeshment seems to be a toxic family relationship where individuality is discouraged in favor of prioritizing the family unit or the familial figures of authority. There are some characteristics of enmeshment that the Warners share. They're always together, they usually act as a unit, and they don't have strong boundaries.
However, it seems to me that a key part of enmeshment is that it's enforced by a family culture that expects you to be less individual and more just a part of the family unit. The Warners don't enforce conformity between each other. They support each other in every way and they celebrate their differences. Something that comes to mind is Wakko's burping concerts, where his siblings happily take on a supporting role, even though gross out humor isn't their thing. They don't expect Wakko to be just like them. They don't enforce unanimity or conformist thought. They're allowed to disagree with each other and say no to things. In fact, they do so quite often.
What the Warners have going on might not be entirely healthy, but I don't think it's enmeshment. I think it's more a bond formed through trauma and mutual protectiveness. They're always together because they all don't like being apart, possibly driven by separation anxiety or anxiety in general. The younger siblings look up to Yakko so much that they tend to agree with him and go along with his ideas without much thought. However, if they disagreed with something he said or refused to go along with a plan, he absolutely wouldn't punish them or make them feel like they're going against the family culture. He's very supportive of their individual wants and needs.
There definitely might be some psychiatric term for what the Warners have going on. They definitely seem much closer than just regular loving siblings. I've described them before as three cells of a single organism. Not being a psychologist though, I wouldn't even know where to start.
It's super flattering to hear your thoughts on my analyses! I love getting a chance to dig into their minds :D

Yakko being 100% hyper like WHAAA-?! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Wakko: i think you should all stop being lazy.
Yakko: oh no. is it finally time to get up? i’m not ready yet! i just got my beauty sleep! i have a beautiful face and a wonderful body to show everyone! I can't wait to take my public bath tomorrow! i'm gonna look like an angel! and then i'll be free!
Wakko: you already look like an angel. and you smell of soap too. you don't need to bathe at all anymore. but i also know how much effort goes into your everyday activities. you're still so young, you shouldn't waste your efforts on trivial things like bathing every day.
Dot: you know what's ridiculous, Wakko? how does someone always manage to find a reason to start their day with "I'm going to wash my feet in the sink and then I'll have breakfast"?? like, who is this zany Warner sibling??! they are clearly just trying to waste their money on unnecessary stuff when there are literally tons of healthy alternatives!
Wakko: i agree.
Dot: we both know that isn't true.
Wakko: yeah...
Yakko: well it doesn't matter anyway. i don't care about anyone else's opinions. even mine! now that i've taken the plunge into the water... everything's perfect! i feel refreshed.
Wakko: i think the water might be doing something. like a weird chemical reaction or something. i hope i was right...
Dot: you were never wrong.
Yakko: *gasp* what? you thought i was a liar?!
Wakko: no, i mean - yes, you can lie. i meant it was because i knew what i was talking about, but - i guess... i didn't expect you to actually lie. haha. i thought you had some good intentions
Yakko: lol okay, i'm lying. it's nice when people say i've got good intentions, though. it makes me blush. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)✧
Dot: what?! you blush easily???
Yakko: no, it means when people compliment my cheeks :))
Wakko: haha, so do those pink butterflies on your cheeks mean anything to anyone here? they don't seem very common, do they?
Yakko: yes! they do!! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ✧
Wakko: oh, really? you're sure?
Yakko: yeah!!! they're my signature features! (゚ヮ゚)
Dot: *sigh* i must love the feathers. or whatever it is that birds eat to keep them pretty
Yakko: i bet you're the only ones who noticed! (☞∀☝)
Wakko: ouch... (゚ヮ゚)
Dot: *gasp* what's wrong?
Wakko: sorry to burst your bubble, but i'm not the one wearing wings around his heart. (☞Д☆)♥♪
Yakko: *gasp* wtf?? did you just compare me to that guy from a horror movie? he looked way more terrifying than i am, and I'm taller than him by like, 6cm (。•́︿•̀。) ♥
Wakko: yes. the comparison works for me too. (*≧▽≦) ノ*
Dot: why are you two so damn creepy?? i hate it!!!!!!!!!
Yakko: hey, calm down! you can't change our dynamic, i think it's cute! plus, i think Wakko is kinda cute... uhhhhhh...
Dot: okay, wow. i will leave you guys to your gross teasing. ive had enough of it for today.
