Arrie and Wade were currently lying on the pier, huffing loudly as they tried to catch their breath. Arrie had to pull Wade out of the Husdon River, on the account that someone had almost cartoonishly tried to drown him by chaining him to a hefty weight. Sure, she could breathe underwater just fine, but have you SEEN the Hudson? It was the equivalent of inhaling gas from a tailpipe.

  “You know-”

Arrie turned her head to look over at Wade, who she hadn’t realized until now had been staring at her this entire time.

“You look REALLY hot when you’re wet.”

The brunette stared at the man in shock, her face almost immediately turning a shade of pink. He seemed to be amused by her reaction, winking at her before doing a kip up to get back onto his feet.

“We should, ahh...” he said, extending his hand to help her up. “We should really do this again sometime. Tomorrow, 8 o’clock?”
