¡Mi primer video lyric! Subido a Youtube y gran parte de mis redes sociales :)

Canción que habla de lo ridícula que es la industria pop y de lo maqueteado que está todo. Chumbawamba desde siempre ha estado en contra de las “boybands” tipo Backstreet Boys y One Direction, y el cómo la prensa les daba tanta atención a ellos de forma deliberada.

En fin, muy buena canción, una pena que ha sido bloqueada en los servicios de streaming, pero esperamos que pronto vuelva. <3

Day 4: Time

Mum: What's the time? Me: I don't know Amma

And I realised what a privilege it was right at the time. I don't know if felt like a privilege. And I suddenly felt immense gratitude and I smiled. Then I thought I'd go and check what's the time, since she didn't check it and went back to watching TV. But I didn't. Another privilege? Or just laziness? Or am I reading too much into it.

I've started reading some code for open source rich text editors. Tumblr has a pretty neat, rich text editor, which feels gliding and wonderful. The font feels so clean and neat. It's called 'Favorit'. Anyway, since Tumblr is an Automattic company, I suspected they might be using Gutenberg text editor, and they are!

Some days I get too excited about the fact that I can write so easily on a keyboard, online, thanks to these massively complex rich text editor tools and integrations. I hope to make one of them someday, or contribute to one in a major way.

This is becoming a design and tech blog now. Better get back to writing haha. I'm submitting a short story this week. The last time I submitted something, it was…, oh God I can't even remember. Should do it, definitely.

Ryan McGuiness’s brightly colored screen printed paintings for WYSIWYG at Miles McEnery Gallery are incredibly dense with imagery, yet still manage not to feel too overwhelming. The combinations of graphics and patterns do require a closer look though.

The title of the exhibition references the acronym for What You See Is What You Get, which refers to software that allows creators to see and edit their product in the form it will resemble when printed or displayed.  Whether there is more to these paintings than what is seen remains up to the viewer.
