I used to love Walnut Whips but haven’t had one for years. Then we went shopping and I saw some so got them. Six in a bag.
They went inside the fridge door.
Couple of days later as Sheila was getting the milk to make a brew a little cry went out.
“Can I have one of your Curly Wurly’s?”
“I haven’t got any Curly Wurly’s”, I said.
‘Yes you have”, she said, ‘they’re in the fridge door”.
This required investigating. I knew I hadn’t bought any Curly Wurly’s.
“They’re Walnut Whips”, I said.
We both collapsed in laughter and Sheila got her Curly Wurly!!!! Well, I mean, they look so similar!
That’s what they’re called from now on. I’ve even got them on the shopping list.
Walnut Whip’s also happened to be my mum’s favourite.
