#WTF IS THE BEAST REALM??!!

I'm doing this shang tsung MY WAY!

Which ignoring canon that he was in. And placing him in my version of mortal kombat. (Which aligns more to the original timelines)

So a young shang tsung,who was once an earthrealm warrior,felt betrayed and was cohersd by shao kahn to join his court in outworld and fight on "his side" so to speak.

As for the dark magic/soul magic. He was always curious,but only curious. He only dived deeper because he was 1. Forbade to without so as much as a decent explanation on why it's "forbidden" and 2. Because he was trying to help earthrealm in any way possible,by any means. But he was again told no. So in his mind. It's like "wtf do you want me to do? It's like i bring a solution and you don't like me playing by the rules you created,which i try to follow yet. I get it spat back in my face" type deal. Course there's nuance to this and it's mainly raidens falt for not telling shang properly and handling things better. And yes,shang was his chosen and student before great lao. Great lao came in a tad bit later. Then came the tournament. He was actually trained by the shadow priests,who worked for shao kahn but revered shang. As they saw a prodigy in him. And magic aside. That man was a fucking excellent warrior,deadly as is. Add sorcery to him and he's a beast. <3

But anyways

Like i have a whole backstory more on shang tsung and i feel alan lee's shang is a good baby days shang tsung. Freshly cursed,freshly courtly mage,etc.

When we get tagawa's shang,is only after he gets his island. Which i hc was given to him by shao kahn as a gift. He wasn't gonna use it. So it was shang's dominion. In doing so he kinda fucked up because now,shang tsung was a lord of his own realm or pocket dimension. He has full jurisdiction and power over his island. The island's natural soul well was fortified to work in shang AND ONLY SHANG TSUNGS favor. He made the island self sufficient. (More on shang's island in another post) now. Only after spending years there,gaining knowledge,power,secrets,etc and a bit of forcefed defeat. Does our lovely sorcerer become more of the shang tsung we know and love. Wisdom and decades even centuries of knowledge gained.

Now back to young shang.

Young shang(alan lees shang/ mk12/mk1 shang) is a tad more prideful,maybe even jovial,always ever confident but in a youthful way. A spirit never breaking no matter how many times kicked down. These traits are amplified in his youth. He gets chiller and more relaxed and composed as he becomes more and more like out like elder shang tsung (tagawa's shang tsung/mk 95/mk11 shang) so that being said. Not too much difference,yet the aura is different and more of someone genuinely scholarly. Tagawa's shang is already a master,to get to that part. We need more development.

Now Lee's shang has great potential but i doubt that nrs ever would give him that genuine opportunity given how the script and story is being written. It feels its holding him back. And that kills me because it's such an amazing talent.

Now a young shang tsung to me is ever the curious. Not that ever stopped. But in his youth,he was always asking why or how. He wants to just know. He has to know. That can bite him in the ass or save his ass. Either way that is a core trait.

Shang tsung not being given an opportunity to join earthrealms warriors is a crime and honestly really really stupid on nrs.

It's rushed and they know it but they dont care because $$$ and micro transactions...

Anyways. Young shang tsung to me also needed a lot of reassurance not because of that lack of confidence,nah it's more of a reminder of "is this good? Is this wise? Am i crazy for feeling this or is this pride getting in the way?" He is confident in skills,he is not with other aspects more so he just doesn't want to disappoint. And Because he doesn't want to screw things up for the long run. But as trial and error happens,he gets more confident in his decisions.

He has his moments too and showing vulnerability and humanity in antagonists is very important. But not done in a backhanded slap to the character and audiences intelligence. Which unfortunately mk12/mk1 kinda does unfortunately.

And honestly,i felt bad for him. More than i ever did.

In conclusion,young shang tsung should be shown and given an opportunity to show with that an insight into shang's mind,heart,and things we actually don't see.

And some things in mk12/mk1 shang i absolutely am like "YES YES YES!" but because of everyone else,it's hard to enjoy because everyone else is insufferable.

Genuinely. Insufferable.

Like compared to shang tsung who gets something real,raw,human,believable,grounded,and interesting.

Nobody else in the story feels like characters,they feel like action figures playing along. And in a way that feels forced and fake to fit a boxed in trope. The script and writing feels ai generated.

Shang tsung seems to be the only one given some kinda agency and not even 100% either. It's not the greatest and it has flaws but by comparison it's great. Comparing that shang to every other shang tho? Kinda rushed and sloppy. And a disappointment. But it sucks because i want to really like that shang tsung.

So i jusy said fuck it. Im rewriting that shang.

Young shang tsung,mr. Alan lee. You deserve better. And honestly i think it's a wasted opportunity to have a shang centric game for once. It would be different,fun,and a change of pace.

Ninjago Dragons Rising Episode 18 Spoilers

So when I first watched Episode 18, some of Levo's dialogue towards Ras put me off, especially since I was expecting a great emperor that was nothing like Beatrix.

But watching it a second time, I realized that Beatrix shares some of her attitudes with her father, especially regarding Outlanders.

Because we see Levo insult Ras, even saying "what could an outlander such as you do" (To which Zeatrix side-eyes him for a second like "wtf dad").

And yes, he does say that he accepts visitors from other realms, but we don't see many, and his dialogue shows that he doesn't really respect them.

Plus, he, like Beatrix, obviously believes that Imperium is superior to everywhere else, talking about how it's the most advanced civilization as a way to shut Ras up (regardless of if he's telling the truth or not)

Which, again, is something the Beatrix constantly does to people.

And these actions could have also been a factor for how easy Beatrix's takeover was.

Because yes, she did convince everyone that dragons were mindless beasts after everyone knew they weren't. But what if she also had to convince them that Outlanders were bad? Then she would've had a tougher time, and probably would've faced more resistance to her rule earlier.

(And Zeatrix probably had some of these attitudes as well, at least the superiority complex. But depending on where she is, she may not have this attitude anymore (if she's still alive. Because the writers could do a plot where she isn't alive but she has a child who is that inherited her elemental power))

TOH SPOILERS FOR THE FOR THE FUTURE PROMOS

So I just finished watching the new promos for the owl house and here are a few things I noticed:

In the trailer

- Lilith with short hair and it’s back to it’s og color that’s a slay but she’s crying over hooty who is a Jack in the box and I’m not prepared for that honestly I am also curious about how her hair got shorter my theory is that is has something to do with escaping the collector considering we know she and hooty were together at the day of unity so they probably experienced the collectors take over together

- raine is a puppet all the coven heads are also puppets but I’m focusing on raine because it also appears that eda is about to fight them. Edas hair is shorter and she is feathery, I’m going to assume it’s because she hasn’t had any elixir because she’s been captured at the day of unity and the reason she’s not a puppet is because of king and possibly because of the owl beast if it turns out the collector created the curse. king is also holding onto hooty watching in the corner. There are a few signs around saying keep out and beware of beast probably referring to the owl beast that eda has recently detransformed from so that makes me think maybe eda is escaping and has run into raine and the coven heads who are going to stop her from leaving. This looks like a good opportunity for a parallel to follies at coven day parade. And if I wasn’t already devastated about raine being a puppet I am hysterical at the thought of a fight between raeda.

- bump being captured is another devestating moment JUSTICE FOR PRINCY B but the other teachers have also been captured so the hexside students are in there own hope they’re ok

- the owl house graffiti probs from the emperors coven because it says so. maybe the owl house was a base for survivors for awhile because the graffiti wasn’t there in oh titan where art thou also one says there is no titan which definitely suggests that it was written after belos betrayed the isles. Also I love the parrel of the very first episode with luz saying welcome to the owl house it’s absolutely heartbreaking

- the hand. My immediate though was Caleb. So I think we’re getting a new grim walker that belos will possess like hunter especially because of the goopy look of the relatively normal hand and I have to say I’m excited to see how grim walkers are made but also utterly terrified :)

- amity’s face she’s obviously at hexside because of the background and i just find it so funny that she still so judgmental

- belos’s cave. it’s really cool to see that he managed to lock it with glyphs that’s really cool but also BAD BELOS BAD DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER GRIMWALKER

- HUNTER PROTECTING WILLOW she’s reaching for someone and Hunter is pulling her away and I think I know who it was from another promo which I will discus later. But let’s just think about the huntlow moment for now pls

- wtf is Mattys new look wtf I deadass laughed for so long when I saw it lmao. But I will admit it might be an homage to Steve which makes me laugh slightly less

- a battle in the detention pit. the wall of eyes is a give away but amity is slaying

- a scene where they pull some of luzs memories out from what I can see it’s grom and Phillip and I don’t think where ready for camilla to find out about all of that but I am hoping for an eda memory not just traumatising ones but there is an explosion that happens so maybe they go to the detention pit for safety??? But I really hope the memories will be ok and that luz isn’t trying to erase her memories on purpose

- then there’s a scene with the collector and king flying in the same street as the hex squad was in so maybe that’s why they are running that also confirms my willow theory from the other promo. This could mean king knows luz made it back to the demon realm and that leads into a theory from another promo

- Camilla fight scene slay

- eda turning into the owl beast at the end definitely confirms my previous eda was captured as the owl beast theory

Collector promo:

- the first thing king wants to do when he gets back with the collector is wanting to go see the owl beast I’m really happy he knows all his family is relatively safe and maybe he will help her escape and tell her luz is back if he knows :)

- MUM ODALIA LMAO RIP ODALIA GET WHAT U DESERVE no she’s actually miserable and I’m so happy she’s tryna make the isles her kingdom and the collector just wants pizza bagels. Also keen to find out why he calls her mum odalia?

- now my willow theory. The collector has Brought back more puppets? That’s what I’m going to call them and lone and behold willows dad is one of them. The puppets are the same from the street scene which suggests willow saw her dad went to reunite with him but ended up watching him be turned to a puppet and Hunter had to pull her away. I am very very very sad like actually sobbing but let’s think of the huntlow moment my friends THE HUNTLOW DO NOT START CRYING PLS

The Camilla and luz promo:

They use these Special Energy Beam Guns look like some kind of Ghostbusters shit, except what it does to a Living Body is Scatter the Shattered Pieces of the Soul acrossed the Quantum Realm to be Lost Forever. And it looks Painful too. These crazy Invis Fucks use some fucked up Swords too. Don't let it Impale you. These Swords will Inject Spider Larvae inside you FUCK THIS!!! And I also heard that you might Imagine it's ur Loved Ones stabbing tha shit outta you. Like what kind of fucked up Republic Shit is this?!!!! To make matters worse they sent in their special Drones to make little EMP microbursts just to jam our Radios like that's really even necessary we're all Dead already. Some of the soldiers get their heads chopped off by a Ghost, then Spiders come crawling out like Look at Me, Here I am, FUCK YOU Kermit. I’m sorry, but where is the hype for this book, people? Did it have some spelling/grammar mistakes? Yes. Did it distract from the story? Absolutely NOT.

When I tell you I am obsessed with these characters, I mean it. I started this book yesterday evening (10.8) and finished it this afternoon (10.9).

The author pulled me in with the promises of a dark retelling of a childhood fairytale favorite, and I was sucked further in with the detailing and story. Briar and Casimir have my heart right now, y’all.

There’s heartbreak and joy and laughter… and I really wish there’d been a Beauty and the Beast film made from this book. It’s everything an adult would love.

* Dagan’s a dick. I can’t wait until he gets his ass kicked.

Picture this: two lone warriors, dressed in Hospice-shop hand-me-downs, nails gritty with the grease of a thousand vehicles, hands scarred from endless new battles of resurrection of iron beasts, eyes bloodshot from the exhaust fumes and the late nights, and endless cups of double-shot coffees ('tis the only luxury we have afforded ourselves), armed with a spark (...plug?) of determination, battling the odds in a land rife with chaos and soaring tensions (holy shit! wtf is going on? #TAXIS #TAXES # TATERTOR - RIP little fella - you were a brave one). Those warriors; my friends, my foes; are none other than Craig, The Resilient and Sonnet, The Stormbringer!

Now, we've never backed down from challenges, oh no - our mottos: 

"bring it on", 

"is there going to be coffee?", 

"we'll sleep when we're dead"

(ok, so, that hits a little close to home right now - a nod to both Hugh and Shannon - both whose recent deaths came a little too soon), 

"holy fuck, were you not happy with the deal the scrapyard offered you?"

(ok - so, we successfully rebuild completely scrapped vehicles - those ones that they dredge up from the bottom of Durban harbour)

Our quest? To empower ourselves and those of us that are playing life's game in uber hard mode (those of us born with a disability - disclaimer: not all disabilities are physical or even visible - especially those dorks that park in the handicap bay at PNP without a "I am disabled" sticker - shame) and to revolutionize the auto-electrical realm. We want to buy a business and we want to offer training for new little sparkplugs - Why? because we can, we have the necessary qualifications, we have the experience, we have the drive to do this, and we have the balls (well, you know what we means - no reference to anyone's body bits) The business is a longstanding, functional, profitable and up scalable venture in the Western Cape, and it is right opposite a coffee shop (jeeshlike! how can people not see this amazing investment opportunity!!!) (We're just short of the money)

A noble cause, you say! Well, hold your horses, for this journey has been no walk in the park.

You see, dear readers, The Financial Fortresses (aka the South African banks) — declared us unworthy of their aid. Apparently, we don't quite meet their lofty requirements. He's generally a mild-mannered beefcake who just wants to get along with people! Too bad the plentiful and varied beasts and bandits of Eorzea don't agree with that

June 15, 2021 The Sneak skill afforded to DoL classes is a bit of a cheat imo, wandered around Mor Dhona last night as BTN and probably cheated myself out of the experience of exploring it properly first hand I'm only around lv. 24 in the MSQ. Northern Thanalan and Mor Dhona mooks can kill my main class twice over. Wandering around in a non-combat class at night and hoping I don't encounter any enemies beyond the Sneak level felt a bit surreal haha There was a pugilist going around one-shotting every vanguard in the area lmao and then at Revenant's Toll there was this lv. 3 wanderer just sitting on top of the battlements and presumably enjoying the view

I just found out this was an Easter egg of some sort!

So for this one you need to catch a high quality Harbor Herring, then use it to mooch for a high quality Ogre Barracuda, then use THAT to mooch for a Mazlaya Marlin 

I got all that in one go :D

June 20, 2021 Finished the lv. 50 FSH quest! Leveling it is so much easier than MIN or BTN, lemme tell you — I remember the other two lv. 50 quests were so involved and had you looking for pure, unspoiled nodes in Coerthas and all 

FSH just needed you to catch three fish in succession

June 20, 2021 Actually pretty sad I can only get to Ishgard in Heavensward — feels like a long way away, especially with my quest to level all the DoH/DoL skills to 50. Not to mention, partying for duties make me nervous about not performing well (｡•́︿•̀｡)

I'm slowly leveling up CNJ and I do want to do duties as that class, but I'm scared I won't be healing as efficiently as the party would like. Targeting with the PS4 is hard, you have to toggle quickly through enemies/party members on-screen and hope you can select them in time

Sometimes you can't even select them ._. one time I was doing a FATE with someone and they just weren't being selected as I cycled through every character on screen, it was stressful

"The lore" is basically the only reason I do anything in this game

June 25, 2021 rational brain: literally nothing is stopping you from leveling every combat class with Raginmar 

 lizard brain: yeah but it'd be funnier if Hyllizirn levels in exclusively tank classes because of the lore

Hyllizirn is Raginmar's boisterous bruiser of a sister, so lore-wise it makes sense that Hyllizirn does tank jobs and maybe MNK (because fisticuffs) and Raginmar is more arcane and ranged (because pacifist)

The real question here is do I have the tenacity to play the game from the start just so I can have Hyllizirn screenshots What am I saying of course I do

June 26, 2021 Did Halatali for the first time with a party of veterans and man, I understand what they mean by big pulls now

Tank absolutely NYOOMED through the dungeon; he'd aggro a few enemies and then run into the next chamber for a bigger space to fight in + more enemies. Hard to really contribute when you have no AoE spells other than Gust tho (｡•́︿•̀｡)

Everybody left so quickly after we'd finished, I didn't have time to give anyone commendations (｡•́︿•̀｡) one of them gave me one though!

To make matters worse, I didn't realise there were more hippocerfs close to Whitebrim so did a gauntlet a little further away on a path that only had three of the buggers, running back and forth and killing them as they respawned

June 27, 2021 More FFXIV OCs! Hyllizirn, L'Vazha Tia and Kirika Kagutsuchi (+ bonus Kirika in WHM gear)

Evidently I cannot go into a franchise without making up a slew of OCs with their own lore but what can you do

Raginmar is the only WoL as per the game's lore. Hyllizirn is a soldier in the Immortal Flames and Kirika is a resident healer in Ul'dah, and they are both part-time adventurers. L'Vazha is a travelling merchant who occasionally hires adventurers on his journeys across Eorzea.

Eventually the four become a party and they have their own adventures independent of the game's lore! I would like to write them one day but for now I'm leveling their combat classes based on their lore for my own amusement.

Raginmar is ranged DPS, physical and magical. Hyllizirn and Kirika are strictly tank and healer, respectively. L'Vazha is melee DPS. Lore-wise their jobs are SUM/MCH (Raginmar), GNB (Hyllizirn), WHM (Kirika) and NIN (L'Vazha). Obviously I'm not all there yet but that's my goal!

Also this is partly my own reluctance to level DoH and DoL for the other three, but lore-wise Raginmar is the only one capable of literally anything else other than combat because he was basically a homesteader before he crossed the sea to Limsa Lominsa.

Hyllizirn helped her father out as a mercenary before deciding to travel to Eorzea to become a legendary adventure. Kirika grew up sheltered for certain reasons, and never had cause to do things on her own. L'Vazha is a merchant so had no need for such skills.

A little disappointed that bathing in the hot springs gives you no boost of any sort in the game, but also I'm just living my hot springs dream vicariously through Raginmar because I miss it so much

I want to go to the ocean! The river! Waterfalls! A swimming pool! Fuck, even a hotel room with a bathtub will do! Let me soak away the aches in these old bones!!

June 27, 2021 Level 50 LTW quest: 

Did not need materia? Good! Requiring material that has me fighting lv. 42 Golden Fleece with my lv. 38 SUM for a drop rate of 1 basket of snurble tuft per 3/4 enemies? Bad!

Honestly spoiled by the drop rate for fleece, sure it'd be once every few kills but at least it drops like 8 or 9 baskets at once, what the hell

I farmed enough to make about three tries for the items I need to craft for the quest, I'm gonna need to really up my level so I don't waste them. Also I've been so damn self-sufficient in making my own gear, I forgot I could just... buy them from NPCs...

July 5, 2021 Idly worldbuilding for my FFXIV OCs and I just think it'd be neat if a multi-classed character retains their skills and abilities regardless of what they're maining as

Like Raginmar would have better-than-average stealth skills despite being a SMN main because of his lvl 31 ROG but he wouldn't be better than actual NIN L'Vazha 

Hyllizirn and Kirika wouldn't be stealthy at all because they never picked up that class

Neither Raginmar nor Kirika would be good in a fistfight. Hyllizirn can hold her own for leveling in PGL, but L'Vazha would be an actual martial artist for being a MNK

Kirika would have some knowledge in arcanima because she would have needed to level in ACN to be a SCH, so she'd be able to discuss such arcane matters with Raginmar while Hyllizirn and L'Vazha wouldn't be able to make heads or tails of it

And for a melee DPS, L'Vazha would be unusually skilled at drawing enmity compared to Raginmar and Kirika for having had brief training as a GLD

Idk I think this would be fun to play around with, I'd like to really incorporate all this in a fic one day

July 12, 2021 WoL brainrot hours: Raginmar, tired and jaded from all the (mis)adventures he's going through with the Scions, winding down at the end of the day with a mug of coffee. 

Then Hyllizirn slams the door open and screeches for his help.

He almost thinks the worst until he actually hears what Hyllizirn is saying: 

"Brother, help me, I think I'm in love with Kirika! What do I do????" 

Then he almost drops his mug as his tired brain catches up and he's just ???????

He puts down the mug on a nearby table. Goes to Hyllizirn. Grasps her by the shoulder. Looks her very seriously in the eyes and says, "Lizzi, I want you to think about this. 

"Have you ever seen me with a woman — or *anyone*, such that you think I would know what to do?"

Hyllizirn is blank for a few seconds as she processes this. The look of dawning realisation morphing into despair on her face is really quite impressive.

Raginmar is usually a very dependable older brother, but this is one area his aro/ace ass can't help his little sister with.

I was just laughing to myself while making breakfast thinking about this scenario. L'Vazha's no help, he's too busy trying not to die laughing, so Hyllizirn's forced to go ask for advice from other people; I haven't decided who yet. Would be funny if she went to the Scions lmao

In the end Raginmar tells her to go talk to their dads (a callback to the whole reason why he came to Eorzea in the first place) and it doesn't end with her confessing to Kirika or anything, but more of a soft understanding of her own feelings.

On his end, Raginmar's just happy he's not being asked to solve some national-level or world-ending crisis (although it sure felt that way for Hyllizirn). He's a little sad he can't help much, but he's happy that she still came to him for something as mundane as love troubles :')

July 16, 2021 Still mad about how none of the Scions seemed to be concerned about Thancred when they were first attacked, especially the bit where Portelaine describes the four captured Scions and no one wondered why Thancred isn't included in that list

It doesn't make sense. Even if you assume he's away like Yda and Y'shtola were in Gridania and Limsa Lominsa respectively, wouldn't the first step be to look for him so that the three can regroup? Even if he was away infiltrating enemy territory, you can't drop him a linkshell?

The first thing you do after an attack that basically wiped out your entire group is to regroup all the survivors. You need to take stock of who's still available before you do something as grandiose as announcing the Scions are back (looking at you, Alphinaud)

Regrouping aside, the fact that no one showed concern for his whereabouts even after Minfilia and co.'s survival and location was confirmed is really something I don't understand — and I know it's just a tiny detail but god it's so irritating

And it's not like he's been gone all this time! Whenever you visit the Waking Sands he's always there in the main hall, seated with his head down and generally being a suspicious foreshadowing — which means there was a likelihood he could've been there when the Empire attacked

(yes he was likely already possessed by then but the WoL and others wouldn't have known! It's a likely assumption to make!)

It's not like he's an unimportant minor character. He's not like Arenvald, someone you'd know if you'd only bothered to wander around and talk to NPCs. He's THE Scion you meet in the Ul'dah questline! He's a big deal! And no one seemed to care if he was dead or alive!

Anyway sorry I keep yelling about this but for a game that's usually quite good in its storytelling, this just feels like such a glaring omission

I say funny but it's really a bit astonishing how they're handing over this important role to someone they've only known for a few months, give or take

July 16, 2021 I think the Scions asking newbie adventurer WoL to lead an elite unit in the middle of what amounts to a war campaign is incredibly funny

The rest of the Scions are in supporting roles for Eorzea's Grand Companies and here you have newbie adventurer WoL in a full command role and taking point in sieging strongholds

Ngl that's a bit much to ask, especially if standard tropes mean the WoL is a young adventurer

Similarities Between Noblesse and Bleach.

So I love Noblesse and Bleach.

And I’ve noticed a lot of similarities between them.

So I’ve decided to write them all out here, as well as some of my personal head canons, to see how many I can come up with xD

Gotei 13 vs. 13 Clan Leaders

Headquartered in Soul Society, The Gotei 13 (13 Court Guard Squads) is an organization of people who are more than human, whose primary purpose is to protect humanity. 

Headquartered in Lukedonia, The 13 Clan Leaders are a collection of 13 different families who are more than human and whose primary purpose is to protect humanity

Most Squads do not have a specific role or job other than to fight, but some do. 

The 2nd Squad (Division) acts as scouts and assassins, like the Kertia Clan. 

The 11th Division is always lead by a Kenpachi, which basically means ‘No matter how much you cut him, he’ll never fall.’ This is similar to Gradeus’s clan, especially since both the current Kenpachi and Gradeus uses an axe as their weapon.

Weapons

Every member of the Gotei 13 has a zanpakutou, which usually take the form of a katana. Each zanpakutou’s ability is unique to the user. The Captains of each Squad all have very powerful zanpakutou.

The 13 Clan Leaders each have a Soul Weapon that is unique to their clan and are very powerful

Each zanpakutou has a material form.

Each Soul Weapon has a material form.

The Loyard Clan has the Death Scythe as their Soul Weapon. It is also known as the Scythe of the Grim Reaper.

The members of the Gotei 13 are called Shinigami, which means ‘God of Death.’ There is no known canon member of the Gotei 13 that possesses a true scythe like Death Scythe. Coincidence? I think NOT! :)

Something called ‘Kikou’ is used to execute criminals who have committed severe enough crimes. It takes the form of an enormous phoenix-like creature that, after it pierces through the criminal, vaporizes him/her. Sound familiar, Noblesse fans? 

Not all zanpakutou specialize in direct combat. 

Not all Soul Weapons specialize in direct combat (see Eleanor and Tradia Soul Weapons). 

This isn’t to say that they’re weak, it just means it’s not quite their specialty. It’s the same for the non-direct combat based zanpakutou.

Gotei 13/Soul Society vs. Werewolves

Both the Noblesse and the Bleach Universe have werewolves, though they differ in appearance and abilities. 

It’s possible that Komamura from Bleach (one of only two werewolves we see in the Bleach Universe) is simply the soul of a werewolf from Noblesse. :)

I may make a whole other post about this, because I am JUST finding out that there is something called the ‘Beast Realm’ that exists in the Bleach Universe that I did NOT know existed. This was NOT explained in the manga. They mentioned it once, apparently, and dropped it! There is also very little info I can find about it, so... yeah... wtf!! This is serious head canon material, so I’ll have to carefully research this...

Ahem, anyway.

Hollows vs. Dark Spear

A Hollow is a human soul that has devolved due to strong attachment to the human world, and who therefore linger on instead of moving to Soul Society. The attachment is usually negative, i.e, your loved ones moving or the house you died in being torn down. It can also stem from what happened in your life, like being bitterly disappointed you never found true love or became rich. It can also stem from your death itself. Regardless of what it was, the reason grows in the minds of souls who linger and takes over everything, their mind, their thoughts, their bodies, and most importantly, their hearts. They eventually become mindless beings called Hollows, beings without hearts who devour the souls of others to ease the pain of losing their hearts. 

The stronger Hollows don’t eat other normal souls, but eat other Hollows. The strongest Hollows have eaten thousands and thousands of souls and have gained great power as a result.

Hollows normally exist by themselves, but a person can possess a Hollow, which is to say that a Hollow lives within the soul of a person, normally a Shinigami. The Hollow, like a zanpakutou, has its own abilities, personality, and material form.

To possess a Hollow is not natural. An unchecked Inner Hollow causes pain and disrupts concentration by attacking both the mind of its possessor. If the possessor is too weak, or gives the Hollow an opening, the Inner Hollow will take over the possessor’s body.

All of that was to say that Dark Spear very much resembles an Inner Hollow, albeit an earlier model than the ones shown in Bleach :)

end of 2020, beginning of 2021 I was trying to get this idea that was suggested to me out, of the Shimada practicing a kind of sacrifice that would make the first born the spiritual guardian of the second. So instead of dragons, its guardian lions or komainu or foo dogs. Hand was busted, so the first and last arc artwork for the AU are still unfinished But anyway Genji and Hanzo were *not* properly prepared for this and the ceremony kinda went sideways. Genji gets a big ol' clawing down his right side and, bc the elders are jerks, they did not explain to him that big catdog is Hanzo, so Genji thinks big catdog murdered Hanzo. Hanzo is unable to explain things to Genji, so they both spend the next half decade not coping well! Genji joins blackwatch to get back at his family and just generally feels like no one can understand his pain, while Hanzo more or less resigns themself to being a glorified attack-dog Now I did manage to finish the next part of this AU, aka whoops Cole Cassidy is a gigantic furry! Bc of Deadeye, Cole can see both big Fuzo and Human-shaped, dressed up for the ceremony Hanzo. Yes, of course he tries to flirt at them. Then he tries to take a trick shot and--whoops, shoots off the bell at the front of that big catdog's collar. This knocks Hanzo into an entirely corporeal half-way state, kinda human, mostly holy beast. Genji has kittens, Hanzo is forced to reclaim their previous identity, and Cole is a very gay furry. Act 3 is getting Hanzo human and then getting Hanzo control over their Guardian powers. Hanzo did not want to go back to human, Hanzo wanted to fix the collar, but the research was going nowhere and Ovw was coming apart at the seams. So they bailed and headed to the Shambali. They get there and Zen's like "you two are co-dependent as hell, and that's a problem" and starts about the work of getting Hanzo specifically to be okay with not protecting Genji 24/7. Then the next step is sending Hanzo away, out on their own to rebuild their personhood, built around things they like this time. And they roll back into the temple enby as hell and covered in piercings and Genji has a lil happy cry before insulting Hanzo's outfit. From there, Zen helps Hanzo to reconnect with the astral plane/spirit realm. Hanzo creates a new collar, choosing each accent carefully. So I’m watching the owl house and I’m rewatching the episode “ Sense and Insensitivity “ and I never caught onto this!

Lilith was looking for a map that leads to a flower that gives you eternal youth FOR THE EMPEROR.

And if we are going by the theory that Phillip aka the first human, is Emperor Belos, this could very much back it up.

He is on this quest to live longer in order to see his goals accomplished - I’m assuming the lil palisman things he consumes helps with this as we saw him exhausted before he consumed one

Hes trying to prolong his regular human life span at the cost that he can ensure the “Titans will” is completed. Opening the portal is part of that I guess!

Also I see a lot of people saying he plans on taking over the human realm, like he mentioned to Luz ^

But he confirms it himself that is NOT the plan. There’s something that him and the Titan have planned and it has nothing to do with conquering earth. So this begs the question…wtf does this old fart wanna do with the portal?

It can’t be to go back home - not like what Phillip was mentioning. Because now he isn’t being directed by his own wishes ( permitting Belos IS Phillip )…he’s being directed by the Titan. Who might very well be the beast that king’s dad fought. And this leaks into the theory that Belos is being misguided by the demon king’s dad fought OR he is possessed by it.

I’m down for all the theories of him being possessed and ect - especially after his voice actor said he is misunderstood.

Why would you say the villain ur playing is misunderstood if he is clearly subjugating ppl in a cult like manner? Maybe because he’s trying to help witches because he is being misguided by the Titan?? WHO KNOWS!! Lemme know ur theories yall!

Thank you my dude!!! Greatly appreciated, and no I haven’t been asked that before, everyone probably knows I’m terrible with headcanons but here goes:

- Roman has a bunch of scars from fighting imaginary beasts and even though he doesn’t necessarily feel bad about them, Virgil thinks they’re so freaking awesome and hot and it makes Roman himself feel proud

- but of course Virgil would still wack him in the head for being so reckless and wtf bro you don’t go get more scars to impress me i’ll just think you’re stupid!!!

- while Roman and Virgil are the only people being on the best terms with each other vee probably gave him a piercing or two

- Roman and Virgil both plays instruments and they try to do rock covers of Disney songs or very sensual and soft versions of Mama

- Roman probably always has one character he imagines in his realm that resembles Vee and that person is always the love interest because he’s pining but he’s gonna eat glass before he admit it

- Virgil on the other hand seems to be the kind to accepts that his crush won’t be requited and yearns like a Mitski song

- small Virgil being the protector of Roman who’s like over 6 feet or something but dumb as shit

- actually they are two halves of an idiot and there’s one single braincell in this relationship

- by dumb i mean they are both kinda hot headed and heavily emotionally driven to do things like lash out at people and refusing communications and jumping to conclusions but somehow doesn’t do that to each other??

- Roman has seen Virgil since when he was anxiety or whatever he used to be way before, hated him, but grew to be his friend. in short, roman has known Virgil since forever and knows of all his flaws, yet he still wants to be around him and still adores him.

- Virgil finds it hard to believe but he does it to Roman too

- they love each other despite everything and even though they don’t seem like it they are set to be very tight knit- just- just you wait- just you fucking wait-

- idiots who don’t think they deserve one another? yeah throw that in too
