Azure:

holy fucking shit my girl is a HEATER. Their natural temperature normally runs higher than average, while at first, Gray Raven thought it was a medical condition or smthg only to find out it’s completely harmless to Azure. Now they get clinged to by all ice-type constructs when they overdo it

It takes a lot for them to actually get mad, like yeah, they get annoyed but everyone has only seen Azure genuinely mad one time and in that time, they literally ruined someone’s life.

The amount of times they’ve nearly murdered Vanessa, only stopped by Bambinata begging her to not kill her commander and Lucia literally having to restrain them physically is unreal.

They know the legal system and politics very well, this also means that they are somewhat manipulative and willing to pull strings to get a desired result.

They barely get along with Asimov, which is ironic considering how interested they are in construct tech

Their love langue is physical touch, like they will consistently hold the hands of the constructs and people they are close to for no reason (it’s also a very good indicator as to how they’re doing in the moment, like, if they’re fine, they usually just link pinky fingers with the construct or lightly hold their wrist and you can barely feel it, if they’re going okay but not good, it’s more like a normal handhold, loose enough to where you can easily break away but firm enough to where you know it’s there, and if they’re like 3 seconds away from a breakdown, holy shit, good luck getting out of that grip-)

they are buff, they don’t look like it, yes, but they have thrown Vanessa across the room so many times (even during that one time they nearly lost their dominant arm) and have picked up Simon and Harley Jo with no issue

Is very good at fixing cars! They also just generally love Golden-Age cars :>

They have a pothos plant collection and they’re all named after historical figures

They DESPISE coffee like, yeah, they rely on coffee to pull all nighters but if they have a choice they won’t touch coffee

He is a boyfailure. He is the definition of a boy failure.

My boy is very smart though, he also knows a lot of languages (probably was tutored by Celcia)

He swears in Hindi and Latin, mostly because 90% of the time, people don’t know what he’s saying

Aries absolutely DESPISES Hassan and Nikolai, like, while Azure doesn’t like them but is somewhat close with them for their benefit, yeah, no, Aries will not go near them unless it’s:

My man is not doing okay mentally, he’s watched two of his ravens all nearly die from specialized frames and when Lee came back, Aries just kinda..held Lee for a solid 30 minutes, begging him not to do anything like that ever again.

also he likes birds, he loves studying birds and whatnot, it’s why he’s so interested by Bianca: Veritas’s CUB.

Oh yeah, he and Asimov get along really well, mostly because Aries is generally really quiet and well… he liked it in Asimov’s lab because it was normally quiet, after a few months, Asimov agreed to let him chill as long as he was quiet, and Aries agrees and over the course of a few months, they became the besties that no even knew that they knew each other (Also, Asimov’s lab is a safe place in Aries’s eyes, and Asimov has gotten used to it because Aries is still quiet as ever, just a bit more fidgety)

Kids used to scare each other with tales of the “big black cat”. Parents used it. Old people told tales. No one dared pray to him.

The bishops used this to their advantage a lot. But more on that on another occasion. UNTIL THEN—!

LITTLE LORE DUMP

he started as a gladiator in the rings, a very popular contestant due to his large size. Shockwave took him in and used him as a guinea pig, testing chemicals and weapons on him to use in the ring. He despised the position, though, and hated being used by both him and Megatron (a bot he considered a father figure to him, since he took him under his wing when he first came online)

Diffraction fought for years until Rhythm, a rich and popular mech, came along and bought Diffraction away from the ring. It was later revealed that he and Rhythm, as well as two other mechs, were built to be a combiner force, though they were separated due to the fear of their combined power

The four later came together and decided to work for Soundwave, using their hypnosis powers (aided by their music) to lure in new Decepticon soldiers. The group stays on Cybertron and performs there, bringing the Cons new soldiers discreetly

Amelia and Isaac

Amelia Allen (maiden name- Kaminsky) met Isaac Allen at the same community college. He was getting his start studying for a law degree while she was getting a liberal arts degree. While somewhat differing in views, they hit it off fairly well. He found Amelia well-spoken, not putting up with getting talked down to. Both came from Jewish households, but Isaac had a more traditional upbringing that showed in his approach to religion in Paul’s childhood up until their divorce.

They eloped in 1957 after Amelia graduated, and had their first child at ages 21 (Amelia) and 23 (Isaac), Jennifer. Both were incredibly excited to have their baby girl and Amelia took to taking care of her as Isaac continued his law degree studies. Over the next six years, Isaac saw success as a corporate lawyer and their quality of living only grew. Needless to say, they were comfortable, living in a New Jersey suburb as an upper middle class family. So much so, they decided to have their second child in 1963, Paul. 

However, a year or so later Isaac grew colder and more distant. He spent less and less time with his family much to Amelia’s annoyance. 

Amelia became more outspoken of her own beliefs, becoming interested in keeping up with politics along with developing an affinity for the folk scene. She was what some would label a hippie. Isaac had little interest in politics, humoring her but not feeling one way or the other. He felt things were pretty good in terms of the opportunities he’s had even with some obstacles and hardships. He’s a believer in the bootstrap ideology and claims a lot of people should just suck it up and get a job.

This would cause heads to butt more and more especially as he withdrew from his role in the family. On nights, he’d come home and isolate in his study, listening to records and keeping to himself. Amelia on the other hand, would do her best to be there for both of their children but it wore her down. The fighting increased but they tried to not do it in front of the kids, but that wasn’t always successful. Isaac would begin to take his frustration out on Paul, as he viewed him to be too soft (despite being a child) because of him mostly hanging around Amelia and Jen. This would result in verbal abuse that made it so Paul avoided him as much as possible. Amelia of course found this to be horrible, but did little to intervene in the moment. 

This would all accumulate until around 1970 when the two filed for divorce, Amelia getting full custody of both children. Isaac had no interest in fighting her on that, ultimately being  absent from their lives post-divorce. 

Amelia did everything she could to make things as painless as possible for her kids, and through alimony they were able to still live a fairly comfortable life and send both of them to college. She didn’t try to keep much contact (outside of any legal obligations) with Isaac after everything until he reached out in 1987 to tell her he had been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to make ammends. She would let him stay with her in 1989 up until his death, cared for by hospice nurses in the guest bedroom.

Jennifer

Jennifer Allen is Paul’s older sister (6 year gap), she took on a lot of responsibilities after their dad left including babysitting Paul a lot. She’s always been protective of Paul and of course never wanted him to believe he had to fight his battles alone. After an assault in college, Paul begged her not to tell their mom and she obliged. A part of her still wishes she had, wondering if she only made things worse by not pushing him to seek help. As he got older, a rift began to form between them especially after their dad was back in the picture. Jen does her best to keep them close, and Paul similarly but there will always be something lost.

The one thing her and Paul truly disagreed on was their dad. Jen had 6 years on Paul and thus, had a different experience of their dad before things went downhill. Blinded by nostalgia, she can’t bring herself to fully hate him like Paul can so when he tries to make ammends, she scolds Paul for refusing. This has always been a thing between them, even as kids when she blamed him for the divorce. In her early teen mind, he came along and caused strain and she wasn’t afraid to tell him that. She grew past this as she got older and feels guilty for how she treated him, but doesn't broach the subject.

Jen studied fine arts and now runs her own small studio. She also volunteers a lot to help foster kids find homes, having a soft spot for them despite having no interest in having her own.

She also cannot stand Patrick and has voiced her views of him to Paul in private. But really, it's not very subtle anyway. She's happy Paul's not as in the closet but he could do better in her opinion.

Both her and Amelia know Paul's gay. Amelia walking in on Paul kissing a boy he had over in high school and Jen finding out shortly after. His mom was embarassingly supportive and both tried to coax him into living as his authentic self (something Paul doesn't truly feel he can ever have if he wants to keep his current lifestyle). Jen being bisexual can relate to Paul's conflicted feelings about this, but is nowhere near as in and out of the closet.

Other things about Paul

Paul got carsick a lot as a kid. Like he threw up more than once to the point where his mom would have to pack plastic bags and medicine.

He has curlier hair, but would straighten it in high school. In college, he let it go and by his late twenties he gelled it down.

Since he was a teen, Paul was a huge hair metal/ heavy metal fan. His favorite bands being Motley Crue and Judas Priest.

Paul would sometimes read comics with Jen, who was much more into them than Paul was.

Despite not having much of a connection to religion, he does get together with his mom and sister for Yom Kippur, Passover and the weekend nights of Hanukkah. Mostly because their mom wants to celebrate and be with them like when they were kids.

He'll never say, but he always worries about becoming his father. There are moments he can see such a thing happening, but he can't stand thinking about it too long.

On mirrors

New lore dump/rambling because I said so woooo lets goooo!

As said before, the Confins is a place that sits on the boundary of reality. To enter it, one must "go between the threads that maintain reality". But what does this really mean?

The easiest way to get to here is through a mirror. Being a kind of depthless reflection of the real world, they hold that kind of power.

However, it needs to be free of impurities and have enough surface so that a human can go through. This also poses a danger as every opening is a two way road, so to avoid unwelcome visitors from the Confins, all big mirrors are only manufactured for that purpose and guarded in buildings belonging to the various exorcist guilds.

If one goes through a mirror, the mirror stays in the same place in the confins. Even if this world is unstable in nature, it acts as an anchor in a way. Unofficial passage mirrors do exist, but exorcists make sure to destroy them when they come across one, as they want to have control over them.

Mirrors for general use do exist, but by law they must all bear a sacred mark on their back and be made a shade darker on purpose so that the reflection is not as pure and can not be used as a passageway. They are also small in shape. So common folk can only own these small mirrors. It is also a common custom to have mirrors covered when not in use, even if these altered reflections are not supposed to be dangerous.

Of course, other than mirrors, here are other ways to get to the confins, but they are more hazardous. Another one is "slipping" into the confins during lucid dreaming. But doing so does not guarantee a way back. To prevent this, beds are often engraved with talismans. And, even at a young age, children are advised to not stray during their dreams.

they were an experiment, one of the first, aimed to create a higher being from something previously inanimate, to go past the biological life restrictions. They were always being thrown into different situations without time to think, such as being pounded with questions they barely knew the answer to, and being completely re-formed. they had mixed feelings about the things that experimented on them, because of them being constantly battered around and at the same time being treated as a higher being, someone who out stood all feats simply by being alive and doing what they do, as well as being "all knowing", despite their knowledge being quite sheltered. after spending most of his life within the laboratory, he got exiled after the things who experimented on them realized they had used too fragile of a material to properly handle (as well as being made of glass, they were very fragile emotionally and had breakdowns regularly from being overwhelmed and confused, they were just thrown into this life after all.) they have no memories of who these things are, except blurry faded memories that are hard to recall. He was in no way ready for life outside the laboratory, but somehow made through because of the genetic modifications. they had previous knowledge of how to defend themselves, but not that much of how to keep their body running, so was usually found passed out somewhere. it has been a while since they were exiled, and they have learned how to properly take care of themselves, usually hopping around from place to place but usually hanging around in a house outside a small village. their main goal is to live up to the people who experimented on them's main expectation of them, which is to be all knowing, because of the awful feeling of not being able to answer everything thrown at them and not knowing. they are currently wandering around trying to gain as much information on the parallels of biological and nonbiological life forces, and has a slight interest on the mirror world specifically and how it works.

i'm v active in the community, i'm often at those community center meetings (or wtvr they're called) that leslie hosts and also just. often at the parks department. i like to help out w everything. i'm like ann in the sense that i don't work there (honestly i've thought abt whether or not i would have a lil job at city hall but idk anything abt government jobs so like i'd have no clue what i'd do fskdHNF) but i'm there like at Least like 50% of the time

since i'm around everyone leslie works with a lot, i'm friends w p much everyone :o my besties tho are tom, lisa (who i meet thru tom), ben, and donna. and also jean. everyone else i'm good friends with c: and…….that even includes jerry. but like no one must know that yk. oh also ron's like a cool uncle to me.

Updates on updates

Updating the update list because I'm inconsistent and still trying to figure out the best writing schedule.

Please refer to the top of my Project List for any changes and add-ons to the updates.

I'm going to try to focus on one story at a time or maybe two once I've posted a bulk of it. I'm working on reorganizing my apartment and my personal schedule now that I'm no longer dating so I have more free time (woooo)

I'm hoping to have Roommates & Renovations done by the end of May since I've cleared up some good work space at home and no longer have to work on it during free time at work.

If I somehow manage to stay above schedule or right on schedule I plan on working on sequel stories for any completed series like the long awaited and highly anticipated family endings. I'll be doing a poll in November that will last till the end of the year on which story you'd like to see get a family ending first. There will be multiple endings for this based on preference that I've mentioned before but will go into detail again later.

The Long Road and Masks will be updating for multiple seasons because I'm an idiot obsessed with lore dumping. There may or may not be a chance for Midnight Oceans to become a multi season series but I'm really banking on wrapping it up on pt.11 if I can help it. If not Season 2 will start next year.

A lot of my modern monster stories take place in the same universe save for the werewolf triplets.

Almost all of my fantasy monster stories take place together as well except for Masks and One Hundred Dreams, those two are in a separate universe.

So I have 4 universes thus so far and no names, none at all for any of them ;u;

I've had a few people ask me if I plan to turn any of my current stories that I've posted on here into books and the answer is... I don't know. I've seen a lot of authors on here lean in that direction but I just don't feel quite ready for that yet. I still feel green when it comes to writing and it's not as refined as I'd like it to be.

I want to publish my stories for sure but only ones I feel would be worth publishing... if that makes any sense. The *To be published* stories are ones I've sat on for yeeeeeeeears. I've had stories stewing in my head begging to be written for a while now, shoot I'm still working on one I started eight years ago!

Any ways if there is a story of mine on here that you are interested in seeing edited for publishing I'm honestly curious to know. I'd have to figure out if you'd be interested in me taking the character x reader aspect out and making the reader a more fleshed out character themselves.

I have a little idea for the 1k followers. As I followed this blog recently, I was wondering about his history. If you feel like it, could do a summary? Like, why did you start it? Your first joy/disappointment. Any thing that we haven't see that you might want to share. Absolutely anything about the blog and you. (If you're comfortable with it of course)

This is a very good idea, lovable anon, I’ll try.

History:

It was 17th November 2015, somewhen in Tuesday afternoon. I don’t remember what exactly sparked the idea of starting this blog, but I can say for certain that it was heavily inspired by the @bleachlists (which is, if you ask me, better humor than canon Bleach). And thus the first list was born.

(I never expected this blog to get famous. Or followers besides bots for that matter. I hoped, maybe, for a little circle of, like, 5 actual readers. I certainly didn’t think I would keep this blog for longer than 4 months. That’s how it is with me usually, I have bursts of inspiration but lack long-term dedication. The fact that this blog is still going is a miracle.)

At first the lists were written in the “chat” style. I had to make up my own prompts, because the two followers or so only hearted the posts but didn’t interact with me at all otherwise. That’s why the activity was very irregular at the time, I was writing when I was inspired and thus a month could pass without a word from me and then boom, three posts in a week. Additionally, I wasn’t writing only lists, but also short stuff, kind of like “Slice of life from Azeroth.” Of these the most famous is Chromie and Dragons and in my opinion the best one and not enough appreciated one is Kel’thuzad’s Heard Of Sylvanas’ Plans.

The first breakthrough came in January 2016 when an anon, who made me happy so much that I called them “lovable” in the list and kept on doing so for all following anons, requested the very first requested list, the Care of Babies list. For a long time this has been the list with the most notes. Now there are too many lists to keep count and Tumblr doesn’t do “the best of your posts,” but still it is one of the most popular posts I have and along with the Chromie and Dragons it still pops up in my notifications. Around April 2016 I had stable enough queue of requested lists to stop making up my own prompts, thus I could completely rely on prompts from followers, most of them from anons.

Another important milestone was August of the same year: First of all, I came up with a posting schedule (Fridays and Mondays, but two months later I understood that was too fast - It ate the prompts faster than they were prompted, and I wasn’t managing it). Then Taedal was added to the lists, at first he was meant as a joke, as I keep reminding him and everyone else, and somehow it happened he stayed here. Additionally, Varian and Vol’jin’s deaths were acknowledged, putting Anduin on the list. Soon after, Garrosh joined in from beyond the veil to annoy Vol’jin in his afterlife.

About this time the blog began to create it’s own lore (and not only the L.O.R.E.), and I even had the (short-spanned) will to mystify people that Taedal is going to get his own expansion. I even had a sideblog dedicated to Taedal (in fact, it was Taedal’s own blog, intentioned as a RP blog but somehow it never…got much traffic) and even a wiki. The wiki still exists! I like to think of this as the Golden Age of HeadQuarters verse, when I even got fanfics on AO3 and a dozen of drawings for this blog even. This blog lives in an alternate universe where there is a new isle west of Pandaria and Garrosh adopted 37 dead children in the afterlife and learned to be a better person (not necessarily the same as good person, but let’s not lose hope).

I don’t remember exactly on what occasion in the 2017 the Interviews were added, but they were the first not-list which were requestable (that is, they weren’t the short filler stuff I used to make before). I think it was to celebrate the first 100 followers but I might be wrong. The first Interview was held with Taedal, by my decision, and ever since then the Interviews went by request every twenty days, moved to every other Wednesday, later as of not-so-recently, every other Tuesday. In the history of the Interviews, there happened to be only one which wasn’t published, because nobody asked any questions. (It was Interview with Kel’thuzad, pt. 3, and I jokingly said that “ when we met, the Archlich thought I used the Interview as an excuse to go out for a date with him and things went awkward” which resulted in this Top N list).

From there things went rather fast. To here actually. As a celebration for 600 followers (or was it 500? Memory fails me) I began writing Top N, sort of as of a filler in between the Interviews, so actually now this blog has moved back to the biweekly posting scheme very close to the one from 2016. Earlier this year (2018), there was a list about attack on not-Theramore, where I made up a character especially for my timeline speculations - because timeline shenanigans, it is a bronze dragon, and because it is representing me, the character is called Authormi. That is a very poor play on the word “author” (because I am the author of this blog) and the “-ormu/ormi” suffix characteristic for the Bronze dragonflight. Coincidentally, it was also the first time I have referred to myself with any sort of name here on this blog (besides the FAQ where is a link to my main blog) and I am using it since.

An important part of the blog is post maintenance when I try to at least twice a month (but if I’m very responsible, then every Friday evening) go thorough the blog, update the Interview, Top N, and L.O.R.E. pages, delete old request asks and so on. However, over the years a good number of not-request asks had piled up in here. They were…not filtered here and the blog seemed messy with them. Which is why Authormi vs. Inbox tag was created and from time to time when too many not-request asks pile here, I dump them into these post as a sort of archive. I admit that it is not, uh… ideal in case you are looking for something specific, but it keeps the blog clean. Well, cleaner.

The most recent new development of the blog was the addition of the Allied Races leaders - Alleria Windrunner for the Void Elves/Ral’dorei, High Exarch Turalyon for the Lightforged, Jaina Proudmoore for Kul Tiras, First Arcanist Thalyssra for the Nightborne Elves/Shal’dorei, Mayla Highmountain for the Highmountain Tauren Tribes, Overlord Geya’rah for the Mag’har Orcs, and Princess Talanji for the Zandalari. The choice of the leaders is taken from the information on the Allied Races from Wowpedia.

Speaking of Wowpedia, it is my primal source, besides personal experience, when it comes to writing the lists. I used to rely on WoWWiki, but, uh… that one turned a bit messy a couple of years ago and I never get around to check on it now. When I don’t know something, I look it up on Wowpedia. If it’s not on Wowpedia, I consider it a Free Real Estate lore wildcard, which means I can bullshit it out as long as it is lore/character consistent. I pride myself on giving the characters (leaders) some actual character, because, now correct me if I am wrong, Blizzard writers confuse character personality for that wind flapping pole. I am not saying that I am writing “good” or “pure” characters. They have faults, they are prejudiced, foolhardy, depressed (in not romantic ways), mean, holding grudges. Some, like Garrosh, Genn or Gallywix, are more straightforward in their flaws than others, but I am pouring a cup of sour traits to everyone here. (What I am saying here is: Be critical when you read your favorite leader’s opinion. They might not be right and/or honest.)

Spell of the Violent Tongue: The first time it has been brought to my attention that I think about the characters in a way a lot fo other people doesn’t, because this list surprised a lot of readers, and by surprised I mean hit into feels so hard they complained to me. I talked about it with my mum later (family support is an important thing for me and mum is fan of Warcraft), and I’ve been told that “I treat the characters maybe a bit too realistically.” PSA for everybody: Warcraft is a story about broken people and violent racism.

Their God Tier: For the people who are fan of Homestuck too. (Homestuck itself is good. The fandom is weird)

Garrosh’s 37 ghost children: By which they became more or less canon on this blog, a regular stuff which is to be counted with.

wowheadquarters (WoW HeadQuarters, World of Warcraft Headquarters, WoWHQ) is by far my most popular blog, despite being younger than SNTS. I add new content twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. I never thought I’d make more than 10 posts in total, but there we go. I admit that the original idea comes from bleachlists, but it has sort of evolved since then. I am trying to keep the blog not contradicting the canon, but some things in the HeadQuartersverse might not always agree with the official lore

Oh my fucking god, this is really unbelieveable that this thing is still going on. I never expected this blog to live beyond a month. I never thought I’d get more than 20 followers. I have 1000 now? That’s… is that Tumblr-famous? I’ve never had this many followers. Do you all read this? All the stuff? Am I shaping your view on the Warcraft universe? This is too much power for one person to have.

You want to know what’s actually my happiest memory connected to this blog? It was actually some time back (because my memory is a mess, I can’t tell you how far back), I had a really, really stuffed couple of weeks. A lot of to do, but also mentally exhausted, I was in a bad place for a bit there. Usually I am able to kick myself in the ass, sit down and make up the list on the go, even if it is bound to be miserable wreck of text, I write it. Sometimes when I am super done and tired, I write it on Saturday evening and pretend it’s Friday and so far everyone’s been so kind and there’s been no comment to that. But in those two or three weeks I just… couldn’t. Even clinging to this self-made structure was too exhausting. I wasn’t on Tumblr for basically the whole time (my main blog was fuelled by the queue). Sometimes when I am in a good place, I write lists in advance and schedule them, but at that time no such a thing took place, so this blog went silent without announcement and I couldn’t care less. When I finally found it in me to come online, my inbox greeted me with various people who were asking me if I was okay and whether or not I am still alive written in a very worried manner. And you know… reading that helped me a lot at the moment. It was a reminder that somebody here cares for me and cares for what I do and… Yeah, it was a damn motivation to get myself together a bit and write stuff and do some stuff. Since then I’m trying to announce in advance if I think I am not going to make it, and even then I am still trying to write the list as soon as possible when I am fit to.

A story for your amusement on this “write it when possible” note. This summer I was with my 4 younger siblings (my oldest sister, still younger than I, turned 18 last Thursday, the youngest sibling who also happens to be a sister is 4, but I don’t live with all the siblings, blah blah divorced parents blah blah, not related) and dad and grandfather in the beautiful village (or town?) of Au in Austria. I took my old laptop with me (I’ve got a new one recently) which had battery that could live on it’s own for, like 10 minutes. The house we were living in had no wi-fi, but there was a village-wide public wi-fi… which din’t reach the house. The nearest was at the bus stop, but that one was shaky, and the good reliable hotspot was at the park, 10 minutes of walk away from the house. Now, it was nearly Friday and I needed to post the list. So I wrote it int he laptop’s notepad, then turned off its life support, took it and dashed across all of Au to the wi-fi hotspot, formatted the document into a list, and hit post. About 2 minutes later, the laptop died.

I am thinking about making another blog directly meant for the asks, request or not, and those would stay there. What do you all think? Maybe I would lose things there, I am quite capable of it.

I’d love to talk about Taedal and his demons and his entire story a bit more. But I haven’t got, like, a reason to do so. I am sort of insecure in this matter, I sort of have the feeling that nobody really cares for Taedal here. “What are you thinking, a ‘good demon’ OC?” (Ask me about Taedal and his faction and the Broken and Distant Worlds expansion. I have an expansion and half planned in my head.)

There is some kind of an expectation or anticipation in me to have someone from Blizz discovering this blog and some big consequences happening. I am not sure whether I want it to happen or not. I mean, I am a bit… too-critical of their work in attempt to please the crowd here. (It’s easy to search for flaws when you take the good stuff as the norm. You are actually doing a good job, Blizzard, in the terms of game developing and marketing. But there is that one post going around which says that Warcraft lore/story is written by 9 people who cannot talk to each other. In this spirit, I am sure that there are 4 people writing charcter psychological profiles who don’t know of each other’s existence. Your animation is a snack, though.)
