these nights / muse a & b have a deep connection, nothing like either of them have before. they only want each other, only have yearning for each other. they are both known to move too fast in past relationships but their connection is driving them to move faster than they want to, feel like they have no other choice but to go all in. no matter how much either of them want to slow things down, try to slow things down, it's like their connection is what controls them and it's a struggle of trying to keep away for long enough to not let their connection consume them. strange land / muse a is lost, can't seem to find themselves after a breakup. muse b was their home, their centre. nothing feels right or comfortable anymore and it's hard watching life go past while they can't seem to settle. muse a keeps going back to muse b time after time, despite muse b trying to move on, because muse a feels like they can only be themselves with the other. it's hard to see anything other than their relationship. muse b wants to pull away but sees how much muse a is struggling without a constant, which is them. it's hard for either of them to navigate their break up and find themselves back together way too much. need is your love / muse a and muse b had a one night stand. muse a keeps running back to muse b for 'just one more night' but has become addicted to the connection they have with the other. a constant cycle of another night to break contact and come running back in a couple of weeks because muse a can't find anyone like muse b and they don't want to admit they have feelings. tequila sunrise / muse a knows that they are no good for muse b, that the relationship is toxic but they're so in love with the other person that they cannot walk away. they try to go nights without arguing but it all ends up coming back to the same point. they say that each time will be different, that they will be the best version of themselves, but it's a toxic cycle. muse b loves muse a but there's only so much toxicity that they can take.

it's stardew valley style farm sim but xianxia (said by someone who never played stardew or farm sims this is guesswork lol)

anyway it's early access now but it will come out as a full game in Jan 2024! and I guess there is a possibility that the price will go up once it's a full game cuz that happens sometimes so if ur interested now is your chance hah (its on sale rn for 11,19€)

some vibes that i absolutely think need to be explored in a dnd thread (bc baldur's gate 3 has the lot of us CAUGHT!)

first, characters sitting by the campfire. cooking a nice meal with the supplies they've gathered along the way. maybe they use a very highly sought-after ration as a treat after a long day, like cream or fresh meat or a spice of some sort. they sit around the blaze together, and tell stories of their earlier travels, adding ingredients to the meal and fuel to the fire, and bonding as they discuss what's next in their shared adventure.

i also love the potential of them walking together along a long, winding country road! maybe they pick some flowers idly, or for each other, or maybe they find herbs or vegetables or fruits to add to their supplies. maybe they overhear footsteps up ahead and have to decide between keeping to the path or rushing into the nearby stream to avoid being seen or smelled. perhaps they have a horse, or two horses, or even a carriage, or maybe they're just walking along together. they could discuss what's next in a journey, or their choices from earlier encounters. if we think of roads as liminal spaces, this is an opportunity for many things to be happening, from a fallen tree blocking the road, to the road forking at a junction in the woods, or enemies/allies travelling along the same path, or even a side quest of sorts awaiting them in the woods!

character A meets character B when they're wounded and unconscious, and brings them back to their camp, either out of fear of what might happen if they don't, or for concern for B, or maybe they recognize them from somewhere! they nurse them back to health, and have to fend off attacks along the way because B is too weak to retaliate, and ultimately it leads to a curious bond where neither are willing to separate from the other, but they also don't know nearly enough about each other to understand what makes them trust each other so much.

the last one for this post: the two characters have travelled a long way. they're tired and weary, battered and bruised from past battles, and they find themselves in a merry kingdom that welcomes them heartily to a party, where they get to eat and rest and bathe and dress in finery and attend a ball together. and this may sound romantically leaning, but i also think it works in a platonic sense or a parental sense, because i think the concept of watching someone you've grown to care about finally laugh and smile and enjoy themselves after a long, brutal journey, is smth that would make many people very happy. and they get pulled to their feet for a dance, and this night of levity and merriment, as beautiful as it is, still inspires a transformation in the journey. perhaps the more experienced or worn-out of the two decides to slip away in the middle of the night, leaving a letter that begs the other to stay where they're happy and safe and allow them to finish the journey alone. or maybe they're about to leave but the other character intercepts. like there's so many outcomes for this one besties!!

Witchy AU - Our muses are Witches/Wizards; Scenario A) Taking place in an era where witchcraft is persecuted, our muses are in hiding from the community at large, but one muse refuses to stop using their magic to help others | Scenario B) Modern setting in which Witchcraft is a normal practice, even if not everyone possesses the gift (maybe one muse is magical and the other isn't?)

Vampire AU - Our muses are longtime friends, but little does one know, the other is a Vampire. Could be in a more modern setting or in an older era; Maybe one is a Vampire hunter? Lots of room for interesting stuff to happen!

Killer AU - Our muses share something in common: They're both victims of a serial killer's abduction. They work together to escape!

Lights Out - Regular setting; Our muses are minding their own business when suddenly, the lights go out; Alternatively, there's a raging storm outside that and our muses huddle by candlelight. In both scenarios does something nefarious begin to brew just beyond their inner circle: Could be a creature or regular person posing as a threat!

Haunted - Regular setting; Our muses visit someplace outside of their norm: A mountain lodge, A hotel, Air bnb, etc, but something strange is going on. There seems to be... a haunting ?! (Whether it's true or not, is up to the plot~)

Cursed AU - One of our muses becomes cursed due to whatever reason (object, person, etc); The curse can be a multitude of things: Transformative (muse gets turned into a werewolf, or a regular cat, or the opposite sex, etc), Health related (muse is slowly dying and it's a race to break the curse), or other physical alteration (muse is rendered mute, muse is made blind, etc).

These are just some I've personally thought about, but if you have anything in mind, let me know !! I just want something for the season~ These will be short threads!

☼ childhood sweethearts reunited except muse a was the one in love with muse b growing up while muse b dated muse a’s best friend !!!!!! like they literally resigned themselves to being the permanent third wheel ( sounding board for both of them, couples therapist, maybe even in their wedding party depending on the muses ??? ) but now muse b and the bestie are divorced/broken up and both seeking comfort and even tho muse a is still friends with the ex they cant help but shoot their shot with muse b ???? right ????

☼ mentor x mentee ship except for the longest time its just the mentee pining while the mentor sees them as more of a kid sibling ???  but then something happens or time passes and suddenly they start to see their mentee as a ~ romantic interest ~ and are v fucked up abt it !!! and maybe the mentee has moved on or maybe they’re still pining but their mentor is as confusing as always xxx

☼ i love a raincloud x sunshine ship where the sunshine muse is positive that they’re slowly chipping away at the ice around raincloud’s heart just for the walls to go up again and discourage them but it iS actually working and lil raincloud is fighting for their LIFEEEEE

☼ ice prince(ss) who thinks they’re incapable of love and the golden retriever who sees the good in them anyway :’ ) obvi with lots of angst with the retriever trying to get them to lighten up and the ice prince(ss) trying to drive them away so they don’t get hurt !!!!!!! we love an angst of misunderstanding

☼ i’m so obsessed w/ the idea of two people who are clearly in love with each other but their pride is getting in the way so they’re trying to get the other person to admit their feelings first………………… idk it just hits y’all the psychological warfare is g o l d !!!!

plots i am currently thinking about:

+ the neve / emmrich buddy cop crime solving duo. maybe post-veilguard but emmrich helping neve solve murders and missing persons cases and stuff. wacky shenanigans with emmrich's naivety outside of nevarran culture.

+ the ol' emmrich speaking to spite like a person of his own instead of a nuisance and helping lucanis guide him toward a better path, maybe. bonus points for first-hand exposure to antivan culture, especially the arts.

+ emmrich and bellara, science buddies. poking around the tears in arlathan forest, talking about the magical implications of different elven artifacts. maybe there's a co-authored research paper, we just don't know.

+ threads developed strictly through notes around the lighthouse. annotations in books, scraps of paper tucked between pages, lists pinned to the walls.

+ what actually happened during emmrich and harding's camping trip in ferelden. did he let his hair down a little, did he leave the dressing gown, maybe he settled on five books and a journal instead of nine. how was the yam and jam slam. did he get to pet a mabari. inquiring minds want to know.

+ emmrich coming to have a (slight) appreciation for dragons and magic being a little more understandable for taash with his and taash's talks. maybe they're not besties, but they're...an odd something.

+ playdates with manfred and assan. emmrich and davrin being total dads - all that's missing are the grass-stained white new balances.

+ more spooky scary skeleton stuff in the necropolis. reuniting spirits who've gotten separated from each other, maybe somebody woke up on the wrong side of the coffin this morning. spooky shit.

+ the fact that the mourn watch uses blood magic.
